Whats your favorite piece ever?

So it doesn't exist anymore but way before I started posting on Tumblr I started a very ambitious picture of a bodyguard escorting a young child riding on a very decorated camel it was one of the most detailed pictures I've ever attempted and while I was drawing it I lost it. I have no idea where it went. It wasn't corrupted, it wasn't deleted, I didn't have any viruses on my computer, and No one downloaded it off my computer it was just gone. And I was so heartbroken over the loss (I was about 40 hours into the piece) that I couldn't bare to re-make it. And to this day me my friends and family joke about the camel picture lol. Rest it peace. It might be the reason why my style stayed more on the simple side than super detailed lol But pieces I finished? Hmmm I don't really have favorites Art is like cooking for me. After the piece is finished I'm kinda done with it Because I spent like 8-20 hours times more on that piece and not all 20+ hours were fun.

Not counting my comics becuase you said pieces so I get the feeling you're talking about my illustrations. I'll give 2 for each fandom I was making for.

DC: I really like the one I did with the boys sleeping in Clark's Apartment, and I like the picture I drew with Clark comforting a drug addict who's going through withdrawal.

APH: America singing to England You're the Top (the 2nd version I did with it) I also like the picture of teenage America meeting Layfete again.

AA: I like my Nori interrogation piece and the one where the gang is asleep (well Edgeworth is waking up but everyone else is asleep)

3. what were your top 5 books of the year?

i won't attempt to put these into a specific order of preference, but the first book that came to mind was certainly william godwin's 1794 novel, caleb williams!! it was essentially a fictionalisation of godwin's earlier works on political philosophy, very saliently exposing institutional oppression, injustice, and abuses of power in britain at the time. what really drew me to this book, however, was godwin's gothic, suspenseful mode of writing, and its memorable characterisation. the central characters' dynamic and mutual obsession with each other really clinched it for me (and produced quite a number of queer readings, which i later followed up on!!). it's also just pure, unbridled fun most of the way. shenanigans were plentiful: from eighteen-year-old caleb's attempts at probing his employer's psychology through small talk about alexander the great, to his rants calling for prison abolition, his (several) prison-escape attempts, his joining a group of anarchist thieves, and donning very silly disguises. definitely a highlight this year!!

i also read jane eyre for the first time this year (which is very strange to think about, because i feel as if i've known her forever). i went into it knowing the plot twist at about halfway through, but without other expectations, and i was very pleasantly surprised. from the first few pages i was fully drawn in & immensely invested in jane's fortunes, and later, her relationship with rochester. i also find jane eyre to be narratologically fascinating, i think charlotte brontë does some very interesting things with narrative voice & also constructs her characters' psychologies really well -- i could talk about foils and parallels for hours and hours, so i better stop here!! i've also managed to read wide sargasso sea, jean rhys' post-colonial response or "writing back" to this novel, which provided even more perspectives & ideas!! <3

this year i've gotten into philip k. dick's works for the first time, having read both the man in the high castle and do androids dream of electric sheep? while i was much more invested in android's character, high castle was probably the more worthwhile & rewarding reading experience. it was anything but easy trying to get into it, and i found it wasn't really doing anything for me in the first hundred pages or so. slowly, a little inexplicably, perhaps, i came around to it, and allowed it to take me on a journey through alternate history, different realities, and planes of existence. the world-building is less interesting to me than the uncertainites, the interruptions of meaning, and the unspoken in particular this novel. it also had some very interesting things to say about the production of art & its role in history-making & culture more generally, but i'm still getting my thoughts about that in order -- essay forthcoming. /j

i've also read rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead this summer!! it feels as if were very late to the party, but i'm glad i managed to get here in the end. this one really speaks for itself -- Two Of Them, the absurd, existentialism, meta-theatre, whacky temporality (!!) & the whole shebang. i actually didn't quite expect it to be as funny as it was, now that i think about it, but i did thoroughly enjoy its humour at least as much as its weightier implications.

aaaaand finally i will go with george eliot's the lifted veil -- a gothic novella (and subtle frankenstein pastiche, i like to think) narrated by the world's most pathetic, sad, sopping-wet sliver of a man, known only as "latimer", who finds himself developing clairvoyant & psychic powers. it is extremely well-structured, without a single awkward, unnecessary, or out-of-place sentence (or maybe i'm saying that becuase i'm just really, reaaally partial to eliot's writing style!!). the narrative structure is chilling, and is constructed in such a way that the reader feels as if they were partaking in latimer's strange powers. as is usual for her, eliot offers percepitve & profound insights into the human psyche and character, without ever losing a beat as to the progression of her gloomy, gothic narrative -- and everything is neatly, devastatingly tied up in the story's inevitable conclusion.

well, there's 5 books!! i could mention many, many more (jean toomer's harlem renaissance masterpiece cane comes to mind, so do several short stories & the novella mathilda by mary shelley, rhys' voyage in the dark, acd's valley of fear, agatha christie's and then there were none, austen's persuasion, and even dracula, which i also can't believe i read this year), but i shall restrain myself and stop here, to everyone's relief, i'm sure :)

Ok so I finally have some time to actually make the post I’ve been trying to make I had to make the impulse choice of coming back in the middle of the exams because I have no self control what so ever 

Strap in, it’s going to be a long-sh ride post

So yeah I am back here :D not even because of the twitter mess (but can’t lie that I am there as well), hi hi and hello kiddos So, where have I been?

As some of you may know I had a major burnout, meltdown and depressive episode, I literally shutted down for years because I couldn’t do anything, my drawings were terrible, my mind was worse, I was falling into downwards spirals, thankfully I didn’t do anything bad, but I was scared and worst of all I tought that the best way to deal with it was to isolate myself. 

And it helped, sorta, but not really, I wasn’t even talking to irl friends, barrely spoke to familiar faces, friendly people becuase I had this (and still am sorting this idea out) that I had to deal with all my problems alone, that I couldn’t rely on even talking to people about the stuff I was dealing with, because, well, bad habit I had most of my life. I was always pretty dumb when it came to that... Am trying to do better

In that time I didn’t drew, didn’t create anything at all, was scared to even take a pen and try and make a silly little doodle, too afraid I was going to go back and ... be happy? The brain is wierd when it comes to this.

This changed around a year ago, when I maneged to get out of the house, am now living in a new place away from my family, that, while aren’t bad people, they are pretty toxic to me, we are just too different in principle, I still talk to them and go visit on vacations, but even they know that my mental health is better when I am away, and that’s coming from parents that would NEVER admit that out loud (mother in special) I am still mostly closed off to them, but the space helped me, and I slowly was trying to take a step at the time, still afraid to hold a pencil and do what really makes me the happiest, still, I was at least trying to see stuff, trying to watch things I like, trying to dare a little more, but I was too closed off to those around me, never knowing what to do, say, interact, awkward but hey, I was never around people like me in real life, literally didn’t knew anyone.

Slowly but surely I was going to thing, having my fun again, working on AUs of fandoms, making ocs for said fandom, still too scared to drawing, but that was the first drop, still too scared to come back, too scared of making it official.

It was a small ride on that, maybe half a year, when things really happened was because of one small morbid thing that made me realise that I wanted to draw, and I took the step to that, scared but at that point, I had nothing to loose anymore, I was taking more risks with it, at the time I was talkig to a friend that also gave me the advice to be a little more reckless.

And so I did, and was a rush for me, to come back to everything, to remember the joy, I was overhelmed and then I kept going and well

I am here now, making stuff, and will post stuff right after too, because I missed this, I missed here and I missed being a part of me, even if it hurts again, is what I know I love to do, and to know that people still remember me and open their arms to welcome me back I just ... It’s unbelievable to me on a certain way, I can’t even begin to describe the joy that is to see you all and to be here again.

I hope things go well, I hope things go better, and I hope that I don’t leave this time, even if I am sad, angry, overwhelmed, underwhelmed, and every other emotion that comes with it.

Hello! In your opinion, what are *the* most Kaylor-esque lyrics? :)

I’m not sure if you are putting a limit on how many I can pick and obvioiusly there are A LOT of Kaylor-esque lyrics, but here are a few that sticks out to me as being almost oddly specific to Taylor and Karlie and things we’ve actually seen in their public relationship if that makes sense?

As you can see “On the way home” was famously the caption on a photo of Taylor and Karlie frolocking on the beach in Big Sur uploaded to Taylor’s Instagram…Of course later, we found out that “You can feel it on the way home” is in fact a lyric from this sweet love song on 1989 called You Are In Love…………………… 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

Also from You Are In Love I believe this line is a sweet callback to the night they met and in fact did quite literally dance around together in snow. Or at least confetti that looked like the real thing…Looks kind of like a snow globe, wouldn’t you say?

This Is What You Came For:

Karlie is a model, Taylor’s a pop star, this means of course, that a lot of the time when they “move” (i.e do anything, really. Like go outside for a quick coffee run or work on a stage or a runway, do shoots, or just generally exist) people are going to be interested. They are going to keep their eyes on them and sometimes these people take pictures or film, most often because that’s their jobs…Camera flashes can really look like lightening sometimes when there’s a lot of it. A place where there tends to be a lot of it is on a catwalk and if your S/O is a supermodel I can imagine watching her in her element feels a lot like that. 

Even though all this commotion with flashes and intense gawking  is usually going on around them when they are in the same public space Taylor and Karlie seem to only have eyes for each other as exemplified briefly in the GIF above. I would say those simple, few lines of lyrics describe their public life together pretty well.

Don’t Blame Me:

I once was poison ivy, but nowI’m your daisy

This is a pretty famous one. On the aforementioned road trip to Big Sur (which apparently was the “best. road. trip. ever.” One might even say the trip of their lives...) Karlie was seen in more than one picture with a yellow daisy in her hair. Later, on the way home, Karlie put said daisy on the dashboard, took a picture, posted it to Instagram and…Tagged Taylor as the daisy, thus indirectly calling Taylor her daisy. Then,  when Taylor wrote Don’t Blame Me she drew a pretty similarly looking daisy to accompany the lyrics above…Yeah, I can’t believe I’m not making this up, either!  🌼🌼🌼 If you’re interested in more from me on what that lyric might mean, check out my queer analysis of Don’t Blame Me right here!

A frequent topic of conversation here on Tumblr is Karlie’s kind of peculiar accent. She pronounces certain words (see among others: “Important” as “Import-hunt”) in a very unique way. I think the line here is once again a callback to the night they met (VSFS after party?) where upon talking more to Karlie Taylor also picked up on this unique feature, I can easily imagine her a little tipsy and infatuated, playfully copying the accent…We are all in agreement that Gorgeous is written from the perspective of a very drunk, very dramatic lesbian, right?

King Of My Heart:

We met a few weeks agoNow you try on callin’ me, baby, like tryin’ on clothes

I personally think the lyrics is “now you try callin me ‘baby’ like tryin on clothes” as in Karlie is trying out the pet name ‘baby’ on Taylor after they’ve been hanging out for a couple of weeks. Taylor compares this to how Karlie “tries on clothes” in her line of work, becuase maybe at this point Taylor doesn’t dare hope they’ll last yet and so thinks that Karlie is just trying something out for a brief period of time, like when she briefly wears something she’d never normally wear for a shoot or a runway. I don’t know, I just think this line is neat in light of Karlie’s line of work, solid writing/metaphor/simile, Swift!

ok i want to talk about my cookie run ocs so i will but below the cut because thats just how it be sdkljklsjklea (im going to TRY not blab out everything i think so then if you want you can send asks)

FROG!! 

ok so hes a liddol baby . he likes to hang out with sand ! theyre best friends and sometimes go to beaches and other places together. he’s very sweet and a little quiet. just a baby.

speaking of sand here they are!!! they dont talk much but when they do it sometimes freaks cookies out due to it being a drippy sand hole like

frog doesnt care about it too much . sometimes he tries to put sticks or something in their mouth just to see what’d happen. sand just eats the stick

rabbit’s foot is ! very lucky to say the least. hes also pretty gullible and easily fall for tricks but due to his luck they never seem to work out. very rarely does something harmful happen to him, though things like disappointing or saddening other cookies can happen. 

SPEAKING of disappointing or saddening cookies... fun dip! he’s often disappointed due to his tricks not working on rabbit’s foot but that only motivates him more. someone once said he looks like he’d be gumballs brother and honestly that’d be a chaotic pair of siblings (while im hesitant about canon relations with ocs..... who cares????). so yeah fun dip and gumball are brothers. 

rabbit’s foot is very much like a young child (though he is aware of a lot of things, he just has a personality alike to a young child. not a brain alike to a young child) and fun dip is a goofball prankster.

almond is very grumpy and they want to be a powerful wizard . honestly if they knew how to contact de or find her they would. also they are very emotional but tend to bottle it up (becuase in their tags on their ref its like “bad boy or crybaby” and i was like ‘’ok both’’). 

they dont hang around cookies often

and now for your local gamer boy. basically mlg jokes all the way around. mtn dew cookie references all that old stuff! theyre likely aware of other things too but theyre like “ah, nah, no thanks bro lolololol” and somehow they have that one robotic male voice? you know  the one in all of cowbelly’s videos that reads the memes? yeah that one. idk how to describe it

they also live off of doritos! besides their pet because it’s kind of obvious that’s a different dorito (plus g4m3r br0 has been existing for a while so it’d taste bad)

garlic cooky! hes a dad and he’s married but that was on ponytown . i made him when me, kiley, and jamie decided to make a lil oc family . kiley made bread cookie his husband and jamie made butter, their daughter. garlic cookie had a very chaotic family when we all actualy messed around on there !

he also adopted some one’s herb pony on ponytown who acted very feral . we joked about dog with a blog because garlic called him the family dog . garlic cookie thinks toe toe (what he named the feral herb) is a dog unironically. like legit. also he’s a vampire ! he’s allergic to himself but isn’t dead yet somehow.

i could talk more about his family but yeah ! 

ravioli ravioli give me the formuoli (this oc was made on ponytown as well ! she acts like plankton) 

she is a gremlin. pretty small. why is there so much evil in you, little cookie? also i was playing with styles in that doodle so like  ? if you want me to draw in that style a bit more then just mention it

ngl i dont like how i doodled corn dog in that one but! corn dog is a baseball player and she’s very much ur classic jock. but nicer. she will want to play with you no matter what you want to play she loves ball games ! considering shipping her with orange cookie for some reason idk why but. if you want corn dog x orange then ig just ask for it sdkljdsljskl ;) i might doodle it too. corn dog x orange x lime? maybe but probably not since it seems like lime would get too jealous too easily

JAM!!!! they are my baby child and i love them a lot! i even made a blog for them but idk if its still up uhhh @cookiestuckinspace ! send asks there if you’d like i guess? the blog is very dead.  mtn dew is also there! there’s also unicorn cookie but i didn’t draw her.

they are a very sweet cookie who wishes to befriend many aliens! they’ve learned many languages and often mixes things up (as in, like, you know, accidentally saying an alien idiom in english or an english idiom in alien, forgetting words from either language then trying to describe it then BAM remembering. probably said an alien idiom in ANOTHER alien language while speaking in an english conversation). they know plenty of written languages and honestly? they try so hard to make sure every one is heard. theyre not very professional and theyre kinda bad at driving a ship 

whcih is why they let their space buddy drive the ship! yeah their dog, buddy, drives a spaceship. its funky but their dog is literally a spaceship itself.

phoenix!!! i only made him because.... on ponytown there was a mythical beast cult. he likes bugs and orange juice i think? capri suns? i dont know but i think he’s had a drink from a juice box before. theres not much about him but! yeah

RYE COOKIE! hes not really exactly a cookie. more like bread than gingerbread, if you catch what i’m throwing. jam tries really hard to be his friend but he doesnt speak any of hte languages jam knows and jam is trying really hard to figure out what he speaks so they can be friends.

Domestic Taekey | Heartbroken

a/n This takes place right after Kibum cheated on Taemin when they were younger (read about it in Scrapbooks )

We don't want our hearts to break in two

       Partying like he had been over the past few months wasn’t apart of Taemin’s plan. Who wanted to spend the end of his senior year either drunk, high, or hungover? But for Taemin, it was his only way to cope. The alcohol made him forget, the weed made him numb, every one night stand and hookup he had made him feel wanted, and being hungover was just a way to distract himself from the pain in his heart. Kibum cheating had left such a large hole in him that he didn’t know if he would ever be happy again.  He’d spent a whole month locked up in his room apart from school after that night. He cut off all their mutual friends apart from Jongin and the occasional ranting phone call to Jinki while he was sad drunk.He ignored every call and text he got from Kibum, and he was glad when slowly the calls stopped and the text frequency dwindled. He was content with his new life, because he could have fun and forget everyone who hurt him.

Rule #1: You gotta have fun.

He was hurt.

He was angry.

He was devastated.

He was broken.

One of his favorite people has gone and done something he didn’t know if he could ever forgive.

How could Kibum cheat? And right before Taemin was due to start school at the same university. He accepted the dinky college scholarship for Kibum. What does a 17 year old do when his love ripped his heart out?

He parties, goes out, forgets about the pain.

Life is too short to spend it grieving over a relationship that meant nothing to the other person. Kibum was Taemin’s first real love. Kibum had been who Taemin wanted forever with. He craved to be with Kibum, but if Kibum didn’t want him. Didn’t see him as good enough, who was Taemin to stop him from leaving?

Alcohol and Weed ran through his veins, late night parties at abandoned warehouses, and racing their cars along  dirt roads and hiding in the bushes from the cops. This is what his life had become post-Kibum.

Rule #2: Don't get attached to somebody you could lose.

He doesn’t let himself get blackout drunk this often. It was his 18th birthday, he had just graduated, and he was finally free of that shitty school that held so many bittersweet memories.

He stumbled through the warm living room of his best friend’s house, winding around other people to get to the dancefloor. His plastic cup was clutched in one hand and his phone was in the other. He was on his fourth drink, two more than he usually needed to get drunk. He was too small to have a decent alcohol tolerance, so he was already gone for the night.

He was looking for someone to hookup with, someone who wouldn’t mind him leaving before the morning. Some called him a player, others a slut. It all depended on who he was going to hookup with that night.

He spotted a thin guy, probably around his age across the room from him. The guy had sandy brown hair and pale skin and Taemin thought he looked perfect to have for the night.

He made his way over and made eye contact with the boy who grinned devilishly as soon as Taemin drew closer.

“Lee Taemin.” the boy said in an arrogant voice. “Zach, right?” Taemin questioned, sipping his drink. He was hooking up tonight.

Rule #3 Wear your heart on your cheek, but never on your sleeve unless you wanna taste defeat

Being cruel to his old friends wasn’t easy. But he had to hide the hurt, hide everything from them. He would fall into a depression if he didn’t supplement Kibum’s void with temporary happiness, he would lose himself completely. Not telling and now showing people how messy he was on the inside was part of the facade. On the inside he was a young kid who lost the only person he could ever actually see himself loving truly. He was a boy who has gotten his heart ripped out and set on fire. He threw away his hopes of being a famous dancer to he close to the one he loved, so he lost everything at once. He felt so lonely and broken. And the only people who knew were Jongin and Jinki. They were the only ones telling Taemin’s previous friends how he was.

Rule #4 Gotta be lookin’ pure. Kiss him goodbye at the door, and leave him wanting more

He tried dating after a few months of recklessness over his last semester of high school. Maybe going on dates rather than just sleeping with someone could make Taemin release the void that still sat in his heart and weighed on his stomach.

Summer is a great season for dates; bike riding, picnics, movies in the park. But that didn’t help Taemin at all. He realized that more people liked him without the party boy facade, however he also realized that he was leading these boys on when they went on dates. He’d drop them at their house and if they were lucky he’d give them a kiss on the cheek. But he never contacted them after the first date. No  one was Kibum, and no one could break the emotional walls he had built after Kibum. A/N I know I haven’t written in a hot minute. But I’m going through a breakup with a horrible guy and I’m really reckless feeling at the moment so I wrote about being reckless instead of being reckless. I hope to write more soon becuase I’ll be moving back home in like 2 weeks~

G1 Supercard Review

First match of the night was the Honor Rumble, starting with Kenny King and Minoru Suzuki. Just gonna run through some of the fun spots, such as the tag teams teaming up. Taguchi had a moment where he directed Rocky Romero’s corner clotheslines, eventually leading almost all members of the match to hit BUSHI in the corner. Jushin Thunder Liger got a huge pop, entering and eliminating Brawler Milonas with Shoteis. Colt Cabana took Yano’s spot in the match, in a heartwarming moment. King Haku made a big return, got a decent pop. Haku was beating down Cabana, so Yano ran into the match to help him out. And at #30, the Great Muta made a huge return. Yano accidentally nailed Cabana with the corner pad, leading to them both being eliminated. Ishii and Suzuki renewed their rivalry, leading to Suzuki’s elimination. The two finalists were Jushin Thunder Liger and The Great Muta. They had a nice little match, before Kenny King, who had not been eliminated, threw them both out and won the match. King got misted for his deceit, but still won the match.

Grade D+. Just a weirdly rushed Royal Rumble rip off. Really not into this. It wasn’t very smooth, there wasn’t much story to it, and even though it was for a world title shot, I just couldn’t care. Still, nice to see Muta wrestle again. He kinda still had it.

And in the first actual match of the night, Will Ospreay took on Jeff Cobb, in a winner take all match for the NEVER Openweight Championship and the ROH World Television. They started out fast and furious, with Cobb hitting a huge European uppercut to start the match. Cobb even hit an awesome delayed superplex for a near fall, showing incredible core strength and balance from Ospreay. Ospreay went for his flip off the chest, but Cobb countered with a huge lariat. Ospreay went for the os cutter, but Cobb caught him and threw him into the corner, only for Ospreay to land on the middle rope and hit the os cutter anyway, for an awesome near fall. Ospreay tried to hit the stormbreaker off the top, but Cobb countered with a super tour of the islands, then hitting a normal tour of the islands for the win.

Grade: A-. Great match. They had awesome chemistry, and hit some awesome moves on each other. I don’t know why I thought that Ospreay would end Cobb’s undeafeated streak, but I was happy to be wrong. Really great match, and I am looking forward to seeing how long Cobb is a double champion. Definitely a match worth watching as their counters were actually awesome.

Next up, a special singles match between Rush and Dalton Castle. This match was over in seconds, as Rush nailed three huge corner dropkicks and got the win. After the match, Castle was so pissed about his loss, and pissed at the boys for trying to cheer him up, he attacked them with a gutwrench suplex and a bangarang, turning heel. I am not going to grade this match, but it was pretty awesome to see.

Then we had a woman of honor championship match, pitting Mayu Iwatani against Kelly Klein. Before the match, Klein sent away camp klein, opting to fight the match fairly. The two had technical exchanges, with Klein coming away with the advantage during mat wrestling. But as Klein got too comfortable, Iwantani locked in a sleeper hold, nearly able to get the win off of that. Kelly Klein got the win after two K powers. At the end of the match, Velvet sky and Angelina Love came down to the ring. As the women distracted her, Mandy Leon attacked, laying out Klein and several other women of honor. They drew the anarchy symbol on her head, and walked out. New stable in the women of honor division.

Grade: D. Just a bad match. I liked the story of Klein showing that she has become a better person, but other than that this was a boring match that was kinda awkward. I didn’t really care for the post match antics either, just becuase it wasn’t particularly good. But they did hit some cool moves, it just wasn’t awesome.

Mega Ran did a rap. Yay, but thankfully Bully Ray came out to interrupt. He was given a big babyface reaction because they all hated Mega Ran. He drove Mega Ran out of the ring, and confessed attacking Juice Robinson.  He said that the challenge was still open, and Flip Gordon answered the call. Back from injury, he got a huge reaction. He quickly started out with a superkick, and a springboard spear. It didn’t take long for Bully to get the table, and for Shane Taylor and Silas Young, but LifeBlood’s Juice Robinson and Mark Haskins came out to save Flip Gordon. They offered to change this to a 3 on 3 match, and came to beat down Bully. Gordan had to take huge kendo stick shots from all of the heels, no selling all of them until his Lifeblood allies came, for a kendo stick fight among all six. The heels fought back, and powerbombed Gordon through a table. In the finish, Bully was hit with a superkick, powerslam, stinkface and a 450 for the win

Grade: C. Perfectly fun soap opera bullshit. It was a lot of hard core stuff, but nothing too crazy. Awesome to see Flip Gordon back, and doing his thang, happy to see Silas Young and Lifeblood, just fun. Not the best hardcore match ever, but it was fine for what it was.

Into the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship match, Taiji Ishimori took on both Dragon Lee and Bandido. Lee quickly picked up the pace with a slingshot hurricanrana to Bandido, only for Ishimori to hit a huge moonsault. Lee was really beating the shit out both of his opponents, with shots that were as stiff as they come. They just kept hitting crazy flying moves, mexican destroyers, hurricanranas and ddts. Ishimori hit Lee with the Bloody Cross for a near fall. Bandido hit both men with a moonsault powerslam, which the commentators accurately said wasn’t a real move. Lee was able to get the win after hitting a knee lift to Ishimori and some sort of vertical powerslam to Bandido.

Grade: B+. Flippy flippy flippy match. These guys flew all over the place, with awesome and dangerous moves. It was surprisingly short, but still quite fun. Dragon Lee winning the belt makes me think that Hiromu Takahashi will be back for the Best of the Super Juniors. Happy to see Lee have the belt, he really deserves it. And although I think Ishimori’s reign ended a bit short, I think that it ended at the perfect time for the story of Takahashi vs. Lee to continue. Hope to see that soon.

Into the tag team championships match, the Guerillas of Destiny vs. Villain Enterprises vs. The Briscoes vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon. PCO had to be revived in his entrance, but it looked pretty cool. They started out with a wild brawl, and there didn’t even seem to be rules in this match. The Briscoes seemed to be working together super well, destroying their opponents with chairs. Sanada and Evil hit awesome tag team offense, with huge kicks and such. PCO hit a huge moonsault for a big near fall. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa gave PCO a huge powerbomb out of the ring, to the floor, with no protection, it looked horrendous, but he sat up afterwards, so I think he is okay. In the finish, Jado got involved, smacking Brody King with a Kendo Stick, allowing Tama Tonga to hit a gunstun, and then a superpowerbomb from Tonga Loa for the win. However, as they went to grab the belts, Toru Yano had stolen them, and looked to run away with them. 

Grade: A-. Wild match right from the start. There were crazy bumps, crazy spots, non stop action, and I couldn’t look away. It was a lot crazier that I had thought it would be, but it was still awesome. Briscoes had some awesome hardcore spots, Brody King and PCO did some crazy stuff, Evil and Sanada kept ahold of their classic wrestling style, while Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa kept their heads down, interfered when they needed to, and came away with the win. Fun, car wreck of a match.

Next up was a singles match between Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi for the British Heavyweight Championship. The two exchanged technical holds, with Sabre not commiting too hard in the beginning of the match. Sabre continued to play mind games throughout the match, working over Tanahashi’s arm. When tanahashi couldn’t skin the cat, Sabre realized that he needs to target that limb and began to destroy it. Sabre did his best to counter Tanahashi’s submissions, but Tanahashi was able to keep outwrestling Sabre. However, when Tanahashi went up for the high fly flow, Sabre quickly ran to the top rope to stop it. Sabre seemed to have the advantage during striking contests, but not in technical wrestling, oddly enough. Tanahashi began to psych himself up, hitting several twist and shouts and slingblades. However, Sabre was able to outlast Tanahashi, locking in his submission that has a super long name and getting the verbal submission.

Grade: B. A bit slower than the matches that these two normally, but still quite good. I liked the story of Tanahashi actually being able to best Sabre, but sabre just outlasted him. He was younger, had better conditioning, and knew that he could outlast the Ace. Good stuff, but far from their best match.

And then we had the Intercontinental Championship match, Kota Ibushi vs. Tetsuya Naito. They started with the quick strikes right off the bat, targetting each other’s necks as these two so often do. It didn’t take long before they started busting out the big moves, with ibushi hitting a hurricanrana off the apron, and then hitting a springboard double stomp for a near fall. Ibushi hit his second rope german, Naito hit a spike hurricanrana off the top rope. The two battled for the opportunity to hit a package piledriver on each other, with Naito eventually getting the honors. The two began to exchange forearms, kicks and palm strikes. Naito then hit a huge reverserana into a destino, but Ibushi actually kicked out. Ibushi then nailed a bomboye to the back of the head, and then to the face for a near fall. He then hit a last ride for a near fall, before picking him up for a Kamegoye and the win. 

Grade: A. As awesome as ever, these guys can do no wrong. They hit each other as hard as they could, they threw each other onto their necks, and the whole thing was just so so scary. Awesome to see Ibushi finally getting a long term title reign, unlike his run with the Openweight Belt. He will probably hold it for a couple months, hopefully into the G1 Classic, but I am just happy that he won here.

Now into the ROH main event, Jay Lethal vs. Marty Scurll vs. Matt Taven, for the ROH World Championship, in a ladder match. The men didn’t take long to start throwing ladders at each other. At one point, Scurll trapped Lethal’s head in a ladder, before hitting the latter with a chair. Scurll even attempted to grab the belt by climbing a shorter ladder and grabbing it with his umbrella. Throughout the match, Scurll injured his knee after being stuck in a figure four in a ladder. Taven hit a huge powerbomb to lethal through a ladder suspended between two chairs. Taven and Scurll faced off in the middle of the ring, with Scurll attempting to hit all his offense, but Taven kept playing spoiler to that, drawing chants of fuck you taven. Scurll hit a huge superplex to take out Taven. Lethal was about to win the match, but Scurll locked in the chicken wing and threw him off the top. Taven and Scurll then battled at the top, only for Scurll to break Taven’s fingers, before getting punched off. Taven had it won, but his fingers hurt too much and he fell off. Lethal was able to land a lethal injection on Scurll, but did not have a ladder to capitalize. Scurll took a lot of punishment, as Taven delivered a huge spear through the ropes and through a table. At one point, Lethal went up to the top of a huge ladder to hit the biggest elbow drop ever on Taven, through a table. At one point, Taven introduced a huge, purple ladder, with ladders suspended between lower rungs and the ropes of both sides. Scurll got taken out after Taven swept his leg, and he tumbled out of the ring. Lethal and Taven battled atop the ladder, and Taven smacked lethal with the belt, sending him down through the ladder. Taven then grabbed the title, the new ROH World Champion.

Grade: A. This was a great match. They destroyed themselves with ladder shots, and falling from huge heights. These guys will be sore tomorrow, and they put on a hell of a match. Scurll probably took the most sickening bumps, but everyone did some terrifying stuff. I didn’t expect this match to be as good as it was, but I was pleasantly surprised. Bummed that Scurll didn’t win, but Taven really does deserve it. Congratulations Taven, you deserved it. Surprisingly enough, this was probably the match of the night for me.

And the main event for New Japan, Kazuchika Okada vs. Jay White for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. White started playing mindgames immediately, but Okada played them right back. Every time Okada seemed to be gaining the advantage, Gedo got involved to keep White in the lead. It got to the point where, after booting Jay White over the barricade, Okada threw Gedo in after him, before hitting a huge splash to the both of them. White desperately tried to counter Okada’s signature moves, but even when he did, Okada would manage to hit them anyway. Okada was hitting his dropkicks as hard as he ever has, nailing one in the face and one in the chest. At one point, White hit a huge Saito suplex out of the ring, onto the apron. Jay did everything he could to make sure that he doesn’t get hit by the Rainmaker, at one point just sitting down to avoid it, and another time reversing into a sleeper suplex. Okada nailed a spinning rainmaker, into another Rainmaker for a great near fall. Jay hit the blade runner, but did not make the pin due to his exhaustion. As Okada was about to get the win again, but Gedo distracted the ref and White hit a low blow. They had a series of counters, before Okada hit two rainmakers, a jumping tombstone, and then one more rainmaker for the win.

Grade: A-. Really great match. They played on all the apsects of their rivalry over the past few months, like Gedo’s betrayal, the reversal of the rainmaker into Bladerunner, and Okada’s need to go super overkill to put down white. The action was fast and intense, and although I thought it would be better if White retained, it does feel good to see the belt back on Okada.

Overall Grade: B+

Pros: Cobb vs. Ospreay; junior heavyweight championship; tag championship; british championship; intercontinental championship; ladder match; main event

Cons: honor rumble; Dalton Castle heel turn :( ;women of honor match; mega ran

Hello people from 2019, I am quonit from 2017, March 8, Wednesday. Technically this is my 1,000th post, and so to celebrate, I would make a post post at 2019.

Why 2019 to be exact? Well I don’t know. A while back I saw an expiration date on a jar of olives, and it was on 2019. I started wondering what it would be like at that year. I’d be -------------------------------------------------

It is honestly shocking that it is only four months till 2018, 2016 was so long, and even though it has been a full year it still feels like August of 2016.

If anybody is wondering I’m -- now.

Casual drawing-

I’m started doing more colored line work. Many people seem to enjoy it and  even though it takes me a lot longer it helps the overall atheistic of the drawing. I’m still struggling with background though.

Well I got Ezvid to start working again and I’m making speedpaints. My casual drawing artsyle now has much thinner lines and (I can’t really tell yet) is less squishy... even though I like squishy art.

Much thinner likes and it’s less squishy. I also started playing around with a few different tools in Sketchbook pro so there will probably be many more effects in art.

I also (finally) started being able to draw hugs! Mainly an accomplishment for myself becuase in my old 2015 diary I started wanted to draw a lot more and always reminded myself that whenever I tried to draw hugs they always end up in failure!

On March 20th my friend made me humiliate myself in spending 30$ on a game about lawyers (Ace Attorney PHOENIX WRIGHT THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY AVAILABLE ON THE NINTENDO 3DS haha). My brother and I are still working on the RPG, today I found out how adorable Sha looks in a dress, and I got back into DnD I guess...

2019 used to seem like this mystical year in the far future but it’s only a few months away now. It just seems normal and I think to myself “I will see this and this is stuff that just seems I’m writing to myself now”.

Also before we continue,  a lot of people think that Drew is older than May, and one of those resons is becuase of Solidad. “So his first contest must have been so long ago”

Okay, let me explain why I think they are the same age and why this theory is wrong.

Back when we first met Drew, we see he still has much of the personality he has now, and that Solidad tells us that he was way different. Okay, let’s see how long ago the episode where May was introduced was...

A LONG TIME AGO.

This means that Drew mighte’ve developed during that long-ass span of time. Also, it took May a while to start entering contests, meaning that here was probably a longer time span where you could enter contests, and May just missed the begining. Another thing I hear is “Well why was Solidad not at that Grand Fesivel???”

Again, that was a long span of time, Solidad was not a character that was created yet, and Solidad was probably not as good of a trainer as she is now.

There is a lot more proof to the point I am making but you should be able to figure it out by now.

Contestshipping Masterpost Part 12 and a half,12 and a whole, and 13 - Something I don’t know the name of, Odd Pokemon Out, and Spontanios Cumbuskin

The next episode is a Harley episode, but Bulbapedia says somthing about the ending in which May recives a letter and a rose from Drew (even though he was not seen in the episode) imforming her of another contest she can enter, so I'm thinking of skipping this one, and maybe the next one.

Also I'm mad at Bulbapedia for this incorrect entree on "odd pokemon out".

May is holding the rose and the letter she receives in the previous episode while on a boat. She apparently considers these two items as sentimental to her. As May already knows quite well what Drew means with the roses at this point in time now, her keeping and looking at Drew's romantic token that appeared in a prior episode is quite significant. However this is not necessarily a romantic hint, since there is a possibility that May is just taking "Drew's" entry in the next contest as a serious rivalry.

Bulbapedia your wrong. She still hasn't even thought about having a romantic relationship with drew and the following and past episodes show that she hasn't thought about it, and doesn't know what the roses mean. T.T

AND THEN WE HAVE SPONTANIOS CUMBUSKIN. this episode inspired me to make this masterpost so I'm just going to copy and paste, so it won't fit in as well as the past summaries I gave to episodes, which is why under each of the thinsg that I had said before I knew as much about contestshipping, I'll put a new comment, explaining what I think of it now.

I already said this before but I guess I'll just copy and paste a post.   Everybody seems to misunderstand Drew’s character, thinking that he is trying to make may upset, but he really isn’t. Let me explain.  Drew tries to make May want to learn more, For example, let’s take the episode where Drew was introduced. In that episode he was definitely watching her before they noticed him, so he had seen May training on the beach and decided to follow her, seeing that she could improve, and he knew how to improve. At the beginning Drew seems to be poking fun of how little ability she has, but this was actually so that she wanted to become better, and it works! For example: Who What When Where Wynuat. During the episode, they find Leechy berries, and because May didn’t know what they were, Drew tried mocking her of not knowing what they were so that she wanted to learn, and by the end of the episode… it worked! Many of the things that May knows is because Drew taught her. May would be too stubborn to really just take advice, and here is another reason why he does it. In “Three Sides to Every Story” (an episode that I believe to be referencing Contestshipping) an Electikid is making fun of (a Pokemon I don’t know how to spell’s name but it is something like Merrow) Merrow and Piplup thinks that he is just being mean, but during the episode we find out that Electikid is attacking her because he has a crush on her. Brock says, “Sometimes when a boy likes a girl, they will go out of their way to make fun of them” This is why Drew makes fun of May. He likes her, and it seems to be a great way to teach her to be a better coordinator. I have recently watched through a bit more of the episodes. At the first grand festival, Harley tells May to go through the entire Appeal round and then battling rounds with just silver wind. Drew knows that Harley is just trying to make may loose, and his first attempt to convince her not to do so was him just telling her it was a bad idea. He could’ve easily made fun of her for doing that and it would have definitely worked, but he decided not to and it didn’t work.   Drew was nice to briana becuase he didn't need to make fun of her in order for him to teach her, nor did he like her. He also didn't find her that interesting so he barley even tried to teach her during the episode. Now you know. 4:42 Drew you blushed at her bad pun. This is what happens when you like somebody. WHATS GOING ON BETWEEN YOU TWO? T^T

Imma explain it right now

“I’m hoping to see you back here next year too May.” - Rhapsody in Drew  in Advance Battle “Hey May, just two more ribbons.” - Spontaneous Combusken in Battle  Frontier.   May never forgot what Drew said after the Grad Fesival. She never forgot how kiindly he had said that to her. Right now she is blushing like "oh my god am I falling in love" blushing. She had been thinking about what Briana had said and hen Drew spoke to her again like this she was reminded of both what briana had said about them having feelings for eachother, and what'd happened after the grand fesival. She is legitimatly starting to fall in love with Drew. Drew didn't forget what'd happened after the grand Fesivle either. He actually reminded her that she needed two mroe ribbons before the next grand festival, the one he was talking about when he had said "I'm hoping to see you here next year" (he ment another grand fesival not the hoen one) Their first serios romantic moment was on the beach after the grad fesivle, and now we are here again with a completly new revelation on May's part. Instead of being mystified at Drew's sudden kinda words she is sitting their, legitimatly like a schoolgirl in love with her crush standing in front of her. Compare the first scene from Advanced battle to this scene. There has been character development, and there will be more. Actually to be completly honest no other ship in pokemon has even come close to being as canon as this. Not Pokeshipping, not irakishipping, and not even armorshipping where they actually kissed. Pokeshipping came close, but it was more of a joke to the show, and I did see them try on irakishipping but it still didn't come close to contestshipping. Also before all of you aurmorshippers say that it was canon, just compare which one was better written. armoreshipping was just serena having a cruch on ash. That is poor writing. Contestshipping through actually has aspects of real life relationships, and it developed so damn well. If they brought these two characters back, either they would have completly ruined Drew's complex personality and just make him a jerk, or lets say that they actually wrote him the way that he is. They would have needed contestshipping. Okay that is all. the next episode is

Bulbapedia? When Harley told May that something was wrong with Drew, she panicked and ran to see what was wrong. When Drew said that he didn't feel any passion when Absol used Razor Wind, she whispers "Oh, Drew..." to show Drew that he's pushing Absol too hard. When Drew snapped at her, she looks completely hurt and shocked, beyond what any normal friend would feel. May also takes what Drew says very seriously instead of brushing it off because she knows it isn't true. Drew almost seems shocked himself that he speaks that way to May.

Time for my actual thoughts on these.

After what had happened and how Drew had called her a wimp, he also felt really bad for it afterwards (bulbapedia explained some of that). He never wanted to hurt May and he does regret it. That's why Drew turned so quickly when he heard on of May's friend's voices. He thought May was there so that he could apoligize.

That's another reson why he sounded so down when he realized it was just her friends. 

And about May, even after that had happened, most people wouldn't be as sad, and would be at least a little but angry, but instead, May just wants to help Drew out of the stress that cuased him to say that.

As I was saying earlier, Drew had watched May, and helped May grow. The fact that he has watched her grow from a pretty ignorant, and inexperianced trainer to sombody that could actually beat him... this is the mean reson that contestshipping is so good. the evelution that they had both went through to get this far is just breathtaking.  It was canon, and this is one of the resons that it is. This ship was so well writen, and this scene sums it all up.

At the beginning of the episode, Drew is facing a masked opponent. After being defeated, he runs into Ash and company at the Pokémon Center. He greets May, but completely ignores Ash, Max, and Brock, even when Ash accusingly says "You mean you lost?". Drew then tells May he won't be entering the Contest because he didn't think Roselia would be well enough to battle. May is shocked, but she also seems disappointed she won't be able to see him. When Drew says there is a very strong Coordinator named Phantom she takes him very seriously.
