Transform Your Practice With The “4 Ps of Marketing” Framework
Do you utilize a framework in your Nurse Practitioner practice? When you work with your patients and do your marketing? Not sure …? Chances are you do, even though you may not call it a framework. Although there are formal frameworks, with fancy names, across all different fields, most of us have our own informal frameworks we use every day. After all, a framework is nothing else but a tool to…

ooh! may I share a headcanon?
Instead of becoming a gun agent, I hc that shadow becomes part of a search & rescue/first responder team. he attacks to protect!
a lil part two to this hc: later on in his life, he becomes a doctor/medical expert. I've always found the idea of a dr. shadow who works with kids endearing. he wants to learn how to heal people. (plus shadow the hedgehog in med school is a humorous thought lol)
Oh my god! I love this! Good for Shadow, good for him!❤️🥺❤️
#I also have a headcanon that Shadow becomes a nurse#But it’s for a fanfic that I’ve never published. But I can see him being a nurse practitioner#Headcanon Friday#mystery anon#off topic

stopped getting ad-free spotify which means I now have the opportunity to get mad at (checks notes) advertisers prioritising their own profit margins over people's health
(look. I think telehealth is a good thing. when it is used as an ADJUNCT to long-term care with a GP or at least a practice which knows who you are, acts as coordinating centre with any specialists you see, and in general has some kind of interest in looking after you in the long term not just for one day)
#this is also coincidentally my stance on nurse practitioners in the current state of training#i very much think nurse practitioners COULD become equivalent to GPs however at the current moment their training just is not the same#let NPs into GPEP2k24#GPEP being the training programme i am on the verge of completing#anyway. telehealth is good for ease of access. but it is bad at such things as screening for long term conditions and having a long-term vi#and some of that is actually intrinsic to the medium not just prejudice i swear#i keep getting ads for health insurance that tout it as the next best thing#rowena adventures#medicine

Boost Your Medical Training With Our Preceptor Matching Services
Preceptor matching services play a crucial role in the education and training of nurse practitioner (NP) students. Find NP Preceptors is essential for NP students to gain valuable clinical experience and mentorship during their training. Preceptor matching services facilitate this process by connecting students with experienced preceptors who can provide the necessary guidance and support throughout their clinical rotations.
One of the key benefits of preceptor matching services is their ability to match NP students with preceptors who align with their clinical interests and learning objectives. These services utilize advanced algorithms and databases to consider factors such as specialty, location, clinical setting, and preceptor availability when making matches. By taking into account these criteria, preceptor matching services ensure that students are paired with preceptors who can offer relevant and meaningful learning experiences.
Additionally, preceptor matching services offer a centralized platform for NP students to access a network of preceptors nationwide. This provides students with a diverse range of preceptor options, regardless of their geographic location. Whether students are interested in primary care, acute care, pediatrics, or specialty fields like cardiology or oncology, preceptor matching services can connect them with preceptors who possess the relevant expertise and experience.
Furthermore, preceptor matching services streamline the administrative process of arranging clinical rotations. These services handle tasks such as coordinating schedules, managing paperwork, and facilitating communication between students and preceptors. By managing these logistical aspects, preceptor matching services allow students to focus on their clinical learning experiences without being burdened by administrative responsibilities.
For NP students, finding the right preceptor can make a significant difference in their education and training. A supportive and knowledgeable preceptor can provide valuable mentorship, guidance, and hands-on experience that are essential for developing clinical competence and confidence. By leveraging preceptor matching services, NP students can maximize their learning opportunities and prepare themselves for successful careers as nurse practitioners.
In conclusion, Preceptor Matchingservices play a vital role in facilitating meaningful clinical experiences for NP students. By connecting students with experienced preceptors who align with their interests and objectives, these services ensure that students receive high-quality mentorship and support during their clinical rotations. As a result, NP students can graduate with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to excel in their future careers as nurse practitioners.

Things Biden and the Democrats did, this week #25
June 28-July 5 2024
The Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Is putting forward the first ever federal safety regulation to protect worker's from excessive heat in the workplace. As climate change has caused extreme heat events to become more common work place deaths have risen from an average of 32 heat related deaths between 1992 and 2019 to 43 in 2022. The rules if finalized would require employers to provide drinking water and cool break areas at 80 degrees and at 90 degrees have mandatory 15-minute breaks every two hours and be monitored for signs of heat illness. This would effect an estimated 36 million workers.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced $1 Billion for 656 projects across the country aimed at helping local communities combat climate change fueled disasters like flooding and extreme heat. Some of the projects include $50 Million to Philadelphia for a stormwater pump station and combating flooding, and a grant to build Shaded bus shelters in Washington, D.C.
The Department of Transportation announced thanks to efforts by the Biden Administration flight cancellations at the lowest they've been in a decade. At just 1.4% for the year so far. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg credited the Department's new rules requiring automatic refunds for any cancellations or undue delays as driving the good numbers as well as the investment of $25 billion in airport infrastructure that was in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The Department of Transportation announced $600 million in the 3rd round of funding to reconnect communities. Many communities have been divided by highways and other Infrastructure projects over the years. Most often effecting racial minority and poor areas. The Biden Administration is dedicated to addressing these injustices and helping reconnect communities split for decades. This funding round will see Atlanta’s Southside Communities reconnected as well as a redesign for Birmingham’s Black Main Street, reconnecting a community split by Interstate 65 in the 1960s.
The Biden Administration approved its 9th offshore wind power project. About 9 miles off the coast of New Jersey the planned wind farm will generated 2,800 megawatts of electricity, enough to power almost a million homes with totally clear power. This will bring the total amount of clean wind power generated by projects approved by the Biden Administration to 13 gigawatts. The Administration's climate goal is to generate 30 gigawatts from wind.
The Biden Administration announced funding for 12 new Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs. The $504 million dollars will go to supporting tech hubs in, Colorado, Montana, Indiana, Illinois, Nevada, New York, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. These tech hubs together with 31 already announced and funded will support high tech manufacturing jobs, as well as training for 21st century jobs for millions of American workers.
HHS announced over $200 million to support improved care for older Americans, particularly those with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. The money is focused on training primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and other health care clinicians in best practices in elder and dementia care, as well as seeking to integrate geriatric training into primary care. It also will support ways that families and other non-medical care givers can be educated to give support to aging people.
HHS announced $176 million to help support the development of a mRNA-based pandemic influenza vaccine. As part of the government's efforts to be ready before the next major pandemic it funds and supports new vaccine's to try to predict the next major pandemic. Moderna is working on an mRNA vaccine, much like the Covid-19, vaccine focused on the H5 and H7 avian influenza viruses, which experts fear could spread to humans and cause a Covid like event.

The Best News of Last Week
1. A branch of the flu family tree has died and won't be included in future US vaccines
A type of flu virus that used to sicken people every year hasn't been spotted anywhere on Earth since March 2020. As such, experts have advised that the apparently extinct viruses be removed from next year's flu vaccines.
The now-extinct viruses were a branch of the influenza B family tree known as the Yamagata lineage. Scientists first reported the apparent disappearance of Yamagata viruses in 2021.
2. Hospitals must obtain written consent for pelvic and similar exams, the federal government says
Hospitals must obtain written informed consent from patients before subjecting them to pelvic exams and exams of other sensitive areas — especially if an exam will be done while the patient is unconscious, the federal government said Monday.
New guidance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services now requires consent for breast, pelvic, prostate and rectal exams for “educational and training purposes” performed by medical students, nurse practitioners or physician assistants.
3. Germany approves new law that will allow adults to carry up to 25 grams of cannabis for their own consumption and store up to 50 grams at home.
Germany's upper house, the Bundesrat, cleared the way to partially legalize cannabis on Friday. Adults aged 18 and over will be allowed to carry up to 25 grams of cannabis for their own consumption.
4. Tick-killing pill shows promising results in human trial | Should it pan out, the pill would be a new weapon against Lyme disease.
Tarsus Pharmaceuticals is developing a pill for humans that could provide protection against the tick-borne disease for several weeks at a time. In February, the Irvine, California–based biotech company announced results from a small, early-stage trial showing that 24 hours after taking the drug, it can kill ticks on people, with the effects lasting for up to 30 days.
5. Thailand moves to legalise same-sex marriage
Thailand has taken a historic step closer to marriage equality after the lower house passed a bill giving legal recognition to same-sex marriage.
It still needs approval from the Senate and royal endorsement to become law but it is widely expected to happen by the end of 2024, making Thailand the only South East Asian country to recognise same-sex unions.
6. French Revolution: Cyclists Now Outnumber Motorists In Paris
Official measurements have found that Paris is rapidly becoming a city of transportation cyclists. In the suburbs, where public transit is less dense, transport by car was found to be the main form of mobility. But for journeys from the outskirts of Paris to the center, the number of cyclists now far exceeds the number of motorists, a huge change from just five years ago.
7. 'Miracle' operation reverses blindness in three-year-old girl giving her 'promising' future
A three year old with a genetic condition that causes blindness is doing incredibly well after unique pioneering operation to restore her sight.
The UK is the only country performing keyhole eye surgery to inject healthy copies of a gene into sufferers’ eyes. It is being used to reverse blindness in children born with a rare condition which means they can only distinguish between light and dark. And it has given little Khadijah Chaudhry, born with Leber congenital amaurosis-4, a chance at seeing properly again.

The Love You Want (Part 2/2)
Read Part 1
Pietro Maximoff was a great teammate and a great "friends with benefits." That was, until you fell for him but he started to push you away. Now he was just a teammate with benefits. A charity gala put on by Tony causes tension between you and the speedster. Why is he so upset anyway?
Pairing: Pietro x Reader
Warnings: sexual content, pining idiots, language, angst, past trauma, jealousy
Words: 3,359
The prestigious doctors Tony had wanted you to schmooze were an easy conversation for two reasons.
One being you were a medical professional yourself. You were just a nurse practitioner in terms of your degree, but they were curious about how you used it in the field as an Avenger. Two, you were a walking medical miracle.
The serum had made you not only able to let your body heal itself, but heal others. Though the latter was to a certain extent and you had learned that the hard way.
The rule now was to stabilize with your powers if necessary, then treat medically until out of combat. Your powers could be depleted if you used them extensively on others, to the point your body is unable to heal yourself.
Bucky slid up to your side with another drink after a few minutes. He inclined his head to you and you nodded in return.
You would be okay… eventually. Would your heartache last for a few months? Yes. Pietro had been a fixation in your life for the last 2 years. You had never even entertained the thought of trying to be with someone else, officially or casually.
Why would you? You trusted no one outside of your team. At the rate it took to trust someone, it would be a decade before you’d be able to even try. You’d probably have to up your therapy sessions now too.
When the band started up after their break, Bucky excused the pair of you and pulled you over to the dance floor.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asked quietly.
You shrugged, trying to ignore the sting returning to your eyes. “I basically told him I loved him, and then I broke it off.”
“Did he say anything?”
“No, he didn’t seem to know what to say.” Your voice was tight. “And when he did, I kept spewing my feelings at him. Like if I didn’t get it all out it was going to eat me alive.”
“And how do you feel now?” Bucky glanced over your shoulder, face neutral at whoever he made eye contact with.
“Is it pathetic of me to feel empty? How could I become so dependent on him? After everything that’s happened to me?”
Bucky’s gaze softened on you. “Y/N, you’re not pathetic. You love Pietro, and he isn’t your ex. It’s okay that you are attached to him.”
You hummed in response, not knowing what else to say.
“I am going to give you my observation, okay? Pietro loves you too.”
You started to disagree.
Bucky shook his head. “He has been stalking you since the moment you came back out here. His eyes have not left you. I’ve been watching him circle this atrium, ignore his date, and try to approach you multiple times.”
“I told you, he’s possessive.”
“Why would he be if he didn’t love you? Sure, some other men out there may be possessive without love, but I’ve seen how protective he is of you too. On missions, he’s not ever far from you. And, I bet if I start putting the moves on you again he’s going to stop being a scared-cat and finally come over here.”
“I’m just that good in bed is all, he doesn’t want to lose that,” you joked, though the words sounded hollow to your ears.
Bucky rolled his eyes and pulled you in closer as he dipped his heads towards you.
You didn’t even have time to pull your head back as you were swept into the arms of Pietro and on the other side of the dance floor.
Bucky gave you a look that was clearly an ‘I told you so’ and went back to the bar.
“I don’t share, Y/N. I’ve told you this,” Pietro growled and it made your knees weak. Why was him being a possessive asshole hot to you?
“And I thought I told you it was best for us to end whatever this is?” You gave him a pointed look.
“So you jump right on the next available teammate?”
“Sure, that’s what that was,” you spat. “Bucky is my new fuck buddy.”
Pietro paused from leading you around the dance floor and narrowed his eyes in on you, searching for something.
You stuck your chin out at him and didn’t speak a word. He could be the one to determine if that was true or not. If that was what he thought of you, so be it.
“I’m selfish,” he admitted quietly. “I’ve been selfish with you and I’m sorry.”
“For what?”
“Saying for everything would be an easy out, but you deserve more than that.” His hand delicately curled into your waist. Your instincts screamed to move closer to him, to create more contact.
“You can start with bringing my own personal nemesis to this event, and starving me beforehand. I can’t scarf down the hors d’oeuvres without worrying I am going to end up on the ‘don’t’ section of their ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ column,” you replied, throwing a glare at Sierra who was already glaring at you.
“You may end up in that section anyway for stealing her date.” He grinned teasingly down at you and your heart raced. It felt friendly in a way it hadn’t been for a long time.
“Her date actually stole me from mine, why do they always blame women for men’s actions?” You scowled.
“Are you really here with Barnes officially?”
“I would ask you the same thing about Lineheart, but I saw you physically recoil from her.” You rose your eyebrows at him.
He had the decency to appear a little bit guilty. “I’m sorry for bringing her to get a rise out of you. I now realize what a bad idea that was.”
“Wow, an apology and confession.”
“Are you really here with Barnes?” Pietro insisted on knowing.
“Well considering you made it so I would not remember this event was coming up—”
“I’m only half-sorry for that. The second half that is, when I didn’t remind you. The initial distraction I am quite proud of.” He cocked his head at you, watching the heat spread up your neck and cheeks.
You shook your head to clear your thoughts. “No, I’m not here with Bucky. He found me while I was avoiding you and offered to help make you jealous.”
The flash of relief was apparent in Pietro’s eyes. “Because it looked very convincing.”
“Well, that is part of our jobs some days. Acting convincing. You and I have done it many times before.”
The pair of you had done a few undercover missions that required you to be a couple. It was usually the most fun you had doing a job.
“Yeah, but I like to think it’s because we have something real going on too.” Pietro’s thumb started stroking your side, making it difficult to not melt into him.
“I’m sure it helped for you, as apparently you are terrible at acting. But it was all a show to make you jealous. Which is immature, I know. But fight fire with fire. It got the point across didn’t it?”
“Were you jealous?” Pietro asked, spinning you around again.
“Truthfully, no.” You frowned and he frowned back at you. “I was more hurt than anything, and then I knew you were trying to make me jealous so I was pissed off.”
“I’m an idiot.”
“Why would you even want me to be jealous, Pietro? It’s not like I’ve been the one pushing you away,” you said sharply.
Pietro sighed and pulled you off the dance floor. “Can we go talk somewhere more quiet? I’ve fucked up this all up, and I don’t want to cross our wires wrong anymore.”
“Yeah, I know a place.”
****
“How did you know about this?” Pietro glanced around the rooftop garden, empty and off limits for this event.
“I attended a S.H.I.E.L.D. event here a lifetime ago.” You took a swig from the bottle of champagne you stole from the kitchen on the way.
Last time you had been up here, your parents and ex were in attendance and everything was seemingly perfect. Your ex was still a secret hydra agent the whole time after all.
“I hope it was a happy time.”
“If I forget all that happened after, sure,” you said with a small laugh and handed the bottle to Pietro, who graciously accepted. “Not that I would want too, completely,” you added quietly.
“Y/N,” he started, turning to face you. You still looked out over the city, unsure and scared of what was going to be said. “I wish I could take back this last year.”
You sucked in a sharp breath as an ache started to spread across through your chest.
“After I am almost died for the second time in my life, I got scared for many reasons. And I didn’t handle it well. Do you know why I got hurt?”
You shook your head, not trusting your voice at that moment.
“I hesitated between you and Wanda. It took me a day or two to figure that out. I was going for Wanda but then I saw a gun on you and I changed course.”
“I would have been fine,” you assured him. “I was fine.”
“Which scared me even more. I know you will be fine 99% of the time. But in that moment all I could think about was protecting you. That what if that time it was the 1% of the time you wouldn’t be fine?”
“Unlikely, but I get that.” You turned to him and met his intense gaze. “There is a 75% chance you’ll be fine, but that 25% feels so much bigger.”
Pietro nodded and continued, “In that moment, you became more of a priority than Wanda, and that scared me. It still scares me. She has been my priority since we were children, but you overroad that. It felt like I betrayed her.”
“Is that why she’s been mad at me since then?” You frowned. It had been hard to lose the close relationship with Wanda while Pietro was also pushing you away.
“No. She’s mad at your for not breaking it off with me after I started pushing you away. She thinks you deserved better.”
“The both of you are terrible at communication,” you mused, and turned back to look over the city.
“Which brings me to also why I’ve been ass.” Pietro took a deep breath.
“An astronomical ass,” you agreed.
“Astronomical, yes. What scares me the most is loving you and losing you.” Your gaze snapped back to him, dumbfounded. “I thought that if I just pushed you away enough, I would never have to risk feeling that. I tried to quit you cold turkey, but I’m selfish and can’t go a week without your touch. I’m so selfish that I don’t want—”
“Wait—”
“To see you with any other man. I don’t want another man to even—”
“Pietro, wait—”
“touch or flirt with you. But I realize now, I was going to lose you even more if I pushed you away. I love you and I hurt you, and I’m so—”
You covered his mouth with your hand, stunning him into silence. “You love me?”
His quirked an eyebrow at you and pulled your hand away from his mouth. “Yes, I love you. What little I had of you was the only thing keeping me sane. But it was also driving me insane. It was torture to leave you abruptly every time when all I wanted to do was burrow further into you and never leave.”
A shudder ran up your spine and Pietro smirked. You were simultaneously relieved, joyful, and annoyed at the same time at that look.
“You’re a fucking idiot, you know that?” You smacked his shoulder. “When has pretending not to love someone ever worked? We’ve watched movies together where the hero hurts the love interest to protect them, and it doesn’t work.”
“Well, those love interests weren’t also superheroes,” Pietro defended himself.
“Do superheroes not also have feelings?”
Pietro rolled his eyes. “Like you said, I’m an idiot.”
“A fucking idiot,” you corrected.
“You make me one, honestly,” he chuckled and reached out to caress your cheek. “But it was more than a selfish decision too. Just so you know.” His thumbs brushed your cheek bones, leaving trails of tingling skin. “I got hurt and then you got hurt trying to help me. I thought pulling away would stop whatever we had going on and you would be safe if you were less inclined to save my ass.”
“It was my decision to make!” you said, letting your annoyance penetrate every syllable.
“Yes, but we didn’t know at the time that your powers can be drained. You may have been less likely to jump straight into a line of fire if I got hurt again.”
“You’ve watched too many hero movies now that I think about it. So much so that you think like the hero. Doubting how stubborn the love interest is.” You narrowed your eyes at his amused expression. “Not realizing that as strongly as the hero feels for the love interest, the love interest feels just as much. That she would crawl through broken glass to save the hero.”
“And I ask that you promise me not to, dragoste.” His hand slide onto the back of your neck and he pulled you flush to him. His heat welcome in the cool summer air. “It hurts me more to see you hurt because of me.”
“Well, you’re going to have to learn to live without that promise.” You brushed your lips against his. “Would you make the same promise to me?”
A rumble of disagreement vibrated in his chest and he held you tighter. “I can’t make that promise.”
“Well, it appears we are at an impasse.”
“Can we just agree not to get hurt as much as possible?” Pietro nuzzled into your neck, his hands skating down your spine.
“I think I can try,” you snorted, tilting your head back to give him full access to you neck.
“If you let me, I will love you with my whole being. I’ve been biting—” he nipped as the crook of your neck and you yelped. “—at the bit to do so for so long.”
“I think the phrase is ‘champing at the bit’,” you breathlessly teased. “But I think I can be inclined to let you love me. Would you mind showing me?”
Pietro pulled away momentarily, resulting in an annoyed grunt from you.
“Were you going to let Barnes kiss you?” His eyes were dark and molten on yours.
“If I said yes, you would get even more possessive and it’s kind of hot. But no, I was going to pull away when you intervened to keep me to yourself. Because I love you, Pietro.”
“I can’t believe he was going to kiss you.” Pietro came back to your neck and his hands fiddled with the silk of your dress just above your ass. “And while you are painfully beautiful in your dress, I would much rather see you out of it.”

Y/N Y/L/N CAUSING RIFT IN AVENGERS
Tensions were high at last night’s Stark Industries gala. Y/N Y/L/N, a.k.a. Vitality, was seen to be getting extremely cozy with not only Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. Winter Soldier, but also Pietro Maximoff, a.k.a. Quicksilver. Our source says Y/L/N was all over Barnes at the beginning of the night until Maximoff almost came to blows with his teammate over her. How many more teammates has Y/L/N—
Your phone was ripped from your hands and tossed onto the nightstand. You looked up to see Pietro, only wearing a pair of grey sweatpants and holding the morning’s provisions he had just gone in search of.
“Do not read that garbage,” he chided, “She’s going to be up your ass for a bit but she’ll get bored.”
“She is not going to let this go anytime soon, Piet. You poked the proverbial bear by basically ghosting her. And she saw us leave together!”
“Everyone saw us leave together, because I wanted them to,” Pietro admitted and slid the plate over to you. It was an assortment of fruits and a couple of bagels.
“Well you succeeded. I will avoid the internet for the foreseeable future. Your fangirls are going to have a field day with me,” you sighed and stifled a yawn.
Pietro’s eyes tracked your movements and trailed to your bare backside. “I could get used to this.”
“Used to what?” you played dumb, wanting to hear the answer.
“You naked in our bed every morning.”
You paused from grabbing a strawberry. “Our bed?”
“You’re moving into my room,” he stated, sliding up over your back and ghosting his lips over your shoulder before he bit down at the base of your neck.
You did you best not to gurgle in response. That spot always sent every nerve into a frenzy.
“I will not spend another night or morning away from you, if I can help it,” he murmured and gripped your hip bones in his warm, skillful hands.
“Your moving this fast, huh Maximoff?” you tried to keep a level tone, but your voice still came out breathy as he pinned you further to mattress under his weight.
“This,” he emphasized by pressing himself into your backside, letting you feel just what he meant, “has been going on for two years, dragoste. So not fast at all. Besides, some things don’t need to be fast. I can be quite good at taking things slow, as you know.”
His teeth nibbled at you again. “I know all to well, you are torturously slow sometimes,” you panted.
“You love the result though, no?” His lips began to trail down your back.
You bit back a moan as he hiked your hips up, ass in the air. His fingers dancing dangerously over you clit. You tried to push again him, but he quickly held you in place.
“So eager, dragoste? It’s only been an hour.”
You growled in frustration. “Wipe that smirk off your face, Pietro.”
“You can’t even see my face,” he argued.
“Oh, eat me.”
“Gladly,” he grinned, “after you answer my question.”
“Of course,” you whined, aching from the teasing.
“Good girl.”
His mouth was on you before you could even moan from being called a good girl.
****
“Alright, who won?” Tony looked around to the team that had made it to the kitchen that morning.
“Won what?” Nat asked.
“The bet.”
“What bet?”
“For how long it would take Pietro and Y/N to acknowledge their feelings and go public. I had 1 year since we placed the bet, we’re at 10 months since the bet.” Tony looked to Wanda, Steve, and Bruce.
“You guys knew?” Nat gaped at them.
“You didn’t?” Steve was shocked. “Nat, even I could see it.”
“No, Steve knows only because he was unfortunate to walk in on them in the sparing room onetime. They did not notice,” Tony rolled eyes.
“And you Bruce?” Nat asked, she couldn’t believe she’d not seen it.
“I was unfortunate to walk in on them in the med bay once after a missions, they did not notice.” Bruce grimaced. “I just needed a bandaid.”
“All I needed to see was their constant fuck me eyes to know. It sometimes can come off as playful or antagonistic looks, but they may be one and the same for them.” Tony shrugged.
“Well, I lost. I thought it would only take a month for them to work their shit out,” Wanda groaned.
“I had six months, so that puts me four months off,” Steve sighed.
“I had three months, I had more faith in them than I should have,” Bruce conceded.
“Well that makes me the winner. They are both stubborn idiots. What’s our next wager? When to expect a mini-avenger now that they are bound to be stupid-in-love idiots?” Tony teased.
“Not funny, Stark,” Nat grunted.

We’ve known it for years, and research has shown that color, sound, and art affect a patient’s mood and the experience of the healthcare encounter. But let’s take a closer look, starting with color. Color in Healthcare Different colors may produce different psychological responses, so we’ll limit our discussion…

My hospital is offering to pay for my masters degree in either nursing or education, which is interesting and something I’m pondering. Of those two, probably education. I’m not interesting in nursing research, and I have NO desire to become a nurse practitioner. There’s never been a time when I thought to myself, “boy I wish I had to know MORE about pharmacology.” My chief loves in nursing are 1) talking with patient, 2) successful symptom management, and 3) it’s impossible for me to do my job at home. I clock into my shift and then baby? Ooh baby, I clock the fuck out.
Education is interesting to me, I genuinely love teaching, I think there’s nothing cooler or more satisfying when you figure out the right way to explain something so that someone really gets it. Unfortunately my mother whom I love dearly and respect highly is a nurse educator who loves the exact same parts of nursing as me and loves teaching for the exact same reasons. I’m not sure I’m ready to literally become my mother.
(For real, this morning mom and I were chatting, me about my presentations on conversational tools to de-escalate and connect with patients in mental health crises, and Mom about her project to prevent and treat delirium through nursing interventions, and we were like “jesus christ we are basically devoting ourselves to the exact same passion project on opposite sides of the country. After Mom made this observation, we cackled, in the exact same identical way.)
What I actually need to do is to convince my hospital to pay entirely for my masters in creative writing, which is the masters I’m actually interested in pursuing, which is also the masters that I need least to advance my career or skills. It just. Seems fun. Its always seemed fun. I got my first bachelors in History and English with a concentration in creative writing, and that’s always seemed like more real of a degree to me than my bachelors in nursing. I’m a liberal arts girlie forced into a STEM world. Anyway, I do refuse to pay for grad school, so that’s gonna be a big factor. I’ll tell the people in charge of the hospital education budget that if they pay for an MFA, I’ll write the best fuckin unit newsletters anyone has ever seen.

Personal update below
Tw: pregnancy loss, miscarriage, blood
Here it is, the words I’ve been unable to type, much less say out loud. Late in the night a few nights ago, I woke up to some abdominal cramping and went to the bathroom. I had been bleeding vaginally all day, but not enough to be super concerned.
I woke up and went to the bathroom, and knew something was wrong. To spare the details, I was bleeding a lot, cramping severely, and I knew my baby was gone. I felt empty inside, despite only being about 7 or 8 weeks pregnant. Intuition, I suppose. I just felt so lonely, as if I wasn’t supposed to be the only occupant in my body.
My husband took me to the hospital and after hours of invasive poking, prodding, and testing, a nurse practitioner I will likely never see again, who will likely never think of me again, told me that my baby was gone. He was straight forward, which I like in medical personnel. He told me my pregnancy was unviable and that it’s common. That we shouldn’t worry. These things happen. It’s normal, common. The three or so minutes felt like an eternity, waiting for him to leave so I could fall apart in the privacy of my husband’s arms, despite the lack of privacy an emergency department offers.
The hospital was so sterile, the bright lights and lack of windows made it impossible for you to track the passage of time. The winding hallways a maze of monotony, making it impossible to know how to return to your room without a guide. The walls were devoid of any real color, save for tv screens and workplace posters. And yet, the room I was placed in was the only room with decorative curtains. All the other curtains were just a shade of navy.
Mine had flowers on it, as if the world or God or the hospital wanted to offer me some reprieve, some reminder that for the hospital, this was routine, but that it wasn’t routine for me. That I deserved something for my eyes to find comfort in.
So here it is, the new reality I find myself in. My baby is gone. The rare statement that, once it becomes true, will never change.
I’m reeling a bit from this loss, as you can imagine. I’m gutted. I got married right at the beginning of the year, falling pregnant not long after. I joked with my husband that I started the year off becoming a wife and was ending the year becoming a mom. I suppose it really was just a joke in the end, but I’m not sure if the punchline was me or my continued optimism, in spite all that I’ve endured.
Anyway, everyone was extraordinarily kind to me when I had posted that I was pregnant. I know that technically I don’t owe anyone details of my personal life, especially not this personal, but I wanted to share it because I don’t want to be sad and alone. And perhaps this will find its way to someone else who has felt some loss recently, whether it be the loss of someone or something, or a loss of self or identity, or a loss of the future you had planned out. Maybe they will feel some connection to this. Or maybe one day someone will think of this as they reel with their own loss.
I don’t regret sharing the news so early, despite the circumstances that have now led me to making this post. Any joy we can find is worth sharing, even if it’s fleeting, especially if it’s fleeting, and even if it’s for some stranger on the internet.
Anyway, I have my dogs and my husband, who are very loving. I’m not sure when I’ll post this, I’ll likely stick it in my queue somewhere so it feels less like I’m hitting the ‘post’ button and more like softly whispering all of this in the wind.
I will be okay, I always am. Grief is a black hole I am trying navigate and figure out where it ends and I begin, trying to remember what my new life will be like and how to grieve yet another version of myself lost to time and trauma and sadness.
There is no narrative device here, nothing I did could’ve changed the outcome. Sometimes the world is just needlessly cruel.
This doesn’t really affect anything on here or what I choose to interact with. I’m still okay discussing/reading/writing about babies and kids and everything in that realm. I just didn’t want anyone asking after the baby and making someone feel bad for wanting to know how I was doing.
Anyway, I don’t want to end this on a despairing note, even though that is the tune of my life at the moment. I want to remember that my now is not my forever, and I hope anyone reading this that is experiencing any manner of suffering takes as much out of that sentiment as I do.
Yours,
V ❤️

Secretly Rare
(Utter & Complete Insanity Story Collection)
Jaune was barely holding on. He was at the limited of his ability to hold his current form. He need to rest, and with Nora and Pyrrha still shifting and shuffling in attempts to get comfortable and fall asleep... he was stuck pretending to be resting. His family had warned him, that his dream was a mistake. That he would suffer for trying to meld with human and faunus society.
Finally when he was at the utter most limit of his strength, he sensed the slow steady breathing that signaled everyone was finally completely ensconced in dreamland. Sliding from under his covers, with unnatural stealth he moved across the room to the ensuite bathroom.
As soon as he was able to silently latch the door closed he closed his eyes and sighed. His cloths melted away, and his body morphed, adjusting to his true-form. The alterations to his body were surprising. His hips widened, as his behind plumped, his thighs thickened and he gained a prominent pair of breasts.
His eyes opened, and she smiled. Her nearly transparent milky white body stretched J(a)une was back in her natural form. Slime-girls were a forgotten race on Remnant, and J(a)une was one of the rarest. A Purity Slime. Her natural ability to remove toxins, and impurities making her essentially impervious to illness, and toxic substances.
She could have had a peaceful life, away from danger, following in her mother's footsteps and becoming a nurse practitioner... but she wanted to do more. Stepping into the shower, she plugged the drain and turned the faucet just enough to cause a very slow drip. Then she melted, allowing her body to become a puddle filling the shallow depression that formed the tiled floor of the shower.
J(a)une sighed in utter bliss.

Scary, Spicy, and Sweet?
Synopsis: You work as a new Nurse in Smith's Grove after finding a passion working with mentally ill patients. Impressed with your skills, Dr. Loomis assigns you to the infamous Michael Myers. His terrorizing activities take an odd, sexy turn that surprises you.
This will be split into two parts. The second part will have 18+ scenes.
This is a request from soooo long ago for @hdhhffgjdhdhdbdbd. I do hope that you enjoy
---
Smith’s Grove Sanitarium.
The big hulking prison-like facility was a new work home for you. A new 40 plus hour workweek included treating and restraining the mentally insane.
It sounded intimidating, but after dealing with the general public for 4 years, this feels like it would be easy. You graduated with your nursing degree with the intention of becoming a registered nurse (RN) and working your way up into a management position. After rotating through several departments within the 4 years of being an RN, you found a distinct passion working in the mental health floor. This prompted you to get your Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP) license to work in a mental health facility. This is where you ended up, with a shiny new position at Smith’s Grove.
You were already assigned to a young man named James Gary (15), who often suffered hallucinations and delusions from his extreme schizophrenia. The young boy would often have outbursts and try to combat what he saw and heard. His family was overwhelmed with trying to care for him and decided to dump him into this facility, after a particularly traumatic event involving his little sister. It was sad, but not uncommon for families to do so.
James was known to be hostile after a few days with a nurse. However, he seemed to be quite pleasant and sweet after you started working with him. Throughout the rest of the 6 months of working with him, he’s had significantly less outburst. A few of the doctors that heard of this figured you were very skilled and were impressed with how you handled him. You,however, thought it was mostly due to James having a crush on you. He would often try to flirt with you, even though you’ve obviously dodged his advances.
A particular psychiatrist, Dr. Loomis, took interest in your ability. One day he approached you on transitioning to supervising another patient full time.
“Is there no way I could still work with James? He would be heartbroken if I just left him.”
“Young James will be alright. This other patient is a special case that needs expert hands and a strong personality to deal with him.”
“And who is this other patient, Doctor?”
“Michael Myers.”
You were apprehensive to take the transfer. Dr. Loomis did offer a sizable bump in your pay if you switched. However, you recognized that name. Two months ago, a nurse by the name of Susan Dreheary took over his care. Poor thing would often come crying to the breakroom, scared out of her mind. She would complain about how evil and scary Michael was. That he was a terror trying to administer medicine to. One day, she came in with a broken arm and a traumatized look on her face. That was the last you ever saw of her.
For some reason, the money spoke to you more in your final decision. Nurse Susan was a bit soft and it was her first job out of the program, whereas you had ample experience dealing with combative patients. You figured you would be fine.
—
Everything about Smith’s Grove was boring. It used to be entertaining to watch the other crazies around the facility, but now Michael couldn’t do that any longer. His latest few stunts landed him being consistently drugged and/or restrained by chains in his room. These attempts didn’t stop him from terrorizing anyone close by. Meaning all the nurses who’ve tried to take care of him. They have been through 3 nurses in the last 3 months, who have quit or seriously gotten hurt.
Michael did not care. He needed some form of entertainment. Scaring people is one of his favorite activities. Unfortunately, the one thing Michael gets bored with is the nurse’s reactions. They all want to act brave and save face when interacting with them. Standing tall with smiles plastered on their faces acting unaffected. They never want to admit that they were terrified of him.
Each time he were to be treated, they would keep a blank look or smile. Michael would stare, suddenly grab their hand, or loom over them. It would obviously affect them. Their eyes would be wide and a slight tremble would start in their movements. But, most would shakily laugh it off.
His continued actions would escalate in intensity. Sometimes, he would have bizarre reactions just to see Dr. Loomis gaslighting the nurses with his explanation.
‘Surely Michael Myers, the stone-faced presence of evil, did not smile at you Nurse Eve.’
‘He is incapable of showing emotions, Nurse Lin.’
‘Perhaps you are not a fit for this patient as I thought, Nurse Dom.’
Dr. Loomis did not believe Michael to be a visibly emotional being. The doctor has tried for years to get a reaction out of Michael. And none have worked. Why would he start showing emotions to only the nurses? Physical or intimidating attacks and attempts were an expected reaction. But to say he made facial expressions was unfathomable. The doctor could not conceptualize this in his mind.
Michael would get another nurse, he would terrorize them, and they’d be out within about a month. The continuation of a banal cycle of his life.
Until.
You walk in, small and apprehensive. Michael looks over and you are actually terrified. You hands were shaking. Your eyes would avert when you made eye contact with him. The whole time you say nothing, just nodding along with the directions Dr Loomis was instructing you on.
For the first time in years, Michael felt giddy. He had to try not to smirk. Finally someone he can play with.
–
It's been two weeks, and you still haven't gotten used to Michaels’ presence. That man was a horror. His aura wrapped around you, choking you with how intense and powerful he was. Your nerves were consistently wound up when you walked to his room. Recently, you had to take a muscle relaxer to get rid of the tension pain in your neck. To try to get through his care, you usually let your soul escape your body. This allows you to blank out and get his medicine administered.
Has he tried to scare you a few times? Yes. Either by intense staring or jerking towards you. You always scream and jump back, which makes him smirk. Satisfaction glows within his eyes.
As the next three weeks progressed, his stares felt different. Still intimidating, that has not changed. But, it may be held more interest. Curiosity. You could be entirely wrong. There have been instances where you felt his eyes linger on certain body parts. Like your breast. Your thighs. And your ass. You figured that he was probably trying to mess with you even more.
On your first day off, you received a call from Dr. Loomis. He requested that you come in to give Michael a quick sedative and watch him throughout the night, as he was being extremely difficult to the staff on call. When caring for Micahel, your shift was always 8 AM to 6 PM. It was currently 4 PM, and he wanted you to work from 7PM to 5 AM.
Fuck! You were already 4 episodes in the first season of JJK and thoroughly enjoying your home cooked meal. You were about to say no before Dr. Loomis gave you a great offer.
“You’ll get extra pay just for this shift.”
“How much?”
“How’s $80 an hour sound?”
That’s all you needed to hear. You decide to go in.

Hey Y’all, we are making a new intro!
We are the Botanical Gardens System! We like using this platform to basically post whatever we please in the moment. Bodily we are 20 years of age, and we would prefer having minimal interactions with minors in any dm setting. This page is safe from NSFW posts and content, so it is safe for minors to interact with, but we would much rather private dms and conversations be with other adults.
Our spam reblog account would be @botanical-gardens-system
We have a blog where we share system related songs as well: @botanics-beats
That’s where we house all posts we reblog without additional text. Pretty much everything is system-related, but it can sometimes repost other stuff.
It is generally safe to use he/him as a collectively pronoun.
Fun facts about us:
We are working on a bachelor’s in psychology and want a master’s in nursing!
It is possible we will try to become a psychology professor whilst being a PMHNP (psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner).
Since we are so big in psychology, our entire account is more psychological-science oriented to better understand our personal experiences.
We love sushi and fish in general as it is our favorite food.
A lot of us are generally agender, asexual, and aromatic, but we do have some alters who are pansexual and/or are a separate gender. Generally we are transmasc-neutral.
We are currently in a happy relationship right now!
We are traumagenic and have a headcount of at least 10-12 now.
If there are any other adult systems that would like to interact, I would be happy too!
DNI Criteria:
There is none. DNIs are kinda useless and instead I will just block you if I don’t feel like I want to interact with you, and feel free to block me if you think I am violating any of your DNI. I never check DNIs really and I’m sure not many check mine. Just please don’t be a dick.
Please just understand I do not care about syscourse. I think it is a useless argument and it’s very frustrating to know it encompasses a good 50-70% of all content I see on here. I can’t pass a post without seeing some kind of syscourse related tag, even if it never features it in the conversation of the post.
