you seem like the kind of guy who just understands them better than anyone else, so i’m curious: what do you think about how old they are? you don’t have to give specific numbers, i just mean like who’s the oldest and are they young adults or middle aged or even older? i used to be a fan of yellow guy as a child, but after seeing people say that was infantilizing and he’s probably just autistic or something i like that better (makes him feel more human and relatable and have more depth)
thank you very much for trusting me with these guys. Now, i have many opinions on this— please read my whole opinion before getting upset (not directed at you but everyone because i think people might be upset at me for this one, sorry guys…)
first off let me address the yellow pig in the room. i feel people project onto yellow so much that they forget— from becky and joes own mouth— he is “the stupid character.” yes of course hes more than that, and definitely supposed to be more human as the series progresses— but he absolutely isnt intended to represent autism or any real diagnosis. as a matter of fact if that was the intention i would be criticizing it because of the way they talk about him in QnAs and such. of course hes very relatable but the truth of the matter is that it was not intended. i fear that people claiming it was is actually a bit harmful in this case. (though im not saying its bad to relate at all!)
calling him a child is not infantilizing, because hes implied to be multiple times, along with the fact hes the only character with a dad in the picture that paints him as the only one not old enough to be around on his own. i feel they make this very apparent. He doesn’t understand adult things and by GOD HE CANNOT CONSENT!!! Ive seen people use this discussion as an excuse to draw inappropriate shit and i dont approve of that. Hes unable to learn how to read in his usual state so he DEFINITELY cant fucking consent!
And this is the part where people bring up his clean-battery counterpart. Who I also think is a child. The difference is that he’s not impaired by his batteries and can see things more clearly with his thoughts together. I think what a lot of people fail to realize is.. kids are people??? And kids can be complex and understand way more than you think!!! Hes not less human by being a kid!! as a matter of fact i think thats an important part of him!!
I think that red and duck are both old enough to where their families are completely out of their lives. (i dont believe their families are real, but just in a figurative sense that theyd be old enough to grow away from those who would raise them)
i think that red and duck are so bitter and cynical because they never got to be children— they were created to be always be pushing 40 while yellow is forever a child. He never becomes cruel or cynical because hes too lost in wonder of the world. he still cares about things that adults grow to be apathetic towards. he manages to find the stairs and lesley and all of that, in my opinion, because hes a child in a house with loser adults whove given up on life
Now with that being said, I do not think their mental and physical ages align. i think theyre physically the ages of their puppet, which changes drastically because their bodies can be replaced. i also think yellow can easily be an adult age even in his puppet, but hes still forever a child anyway. His mentality is of a child, which makes him a child— Their physical ages are impossible to guess and also probably inconsistent.
TLDR i absolutely think that yellow is a kid and i think the fact people think he cant be because hes human or because hes smart sometimes is exactly why i think he is— i feel thats the point.
red and duck are forever stuck in a limbo of pushing forty if not already forty. i think red could easily pass as a younger guy but i think he and duck are the same age mentally.
Adding on a slightly related note though— I do think red and duck are yellows guardians but i dont think theyre good nor are they parents. I see them more as older brothers (Which by the way red calls yellow!) or at the very least theyre his uncles that Really DID NOT fucking want kids. Theyre absolutely not his parents but they do have to take care and watch him. They treat him as older siblings being cruel to a younger one. Duck calls yellow a pet because he doesnt see him as his son but he still has to care for him. its definitely dehumanizing but its said for a reason. which goes hand in hand with what i was saying— people dont see children as people because they cant do anything on their own. but again, yellow absolutely can still be a complex and human character while being a child
if you disagree im not hating— i would love to have a discussion. i personally just dont believe its problematic to call him a child when the only reason that would be a problem isnt canon in the first place?

Super Earth Part 13 Heavy Winds
Tumblr media
Pairing: Reader X Roman Reigns
Synopsis: Reader is a space pilot. Dr. Reigns is a scientist. They fell in love heading to TOI-1452 B
Part 13: Heavy Winds
I woke when the computer chirpped.
“Good morning colonists.” It was Becky. “Sorry to wake you all so early.” I looked to see it was 4 am. “Unfortunately, we have an all hands on deck situation. A category 7 hurricane is due to arrive in 36 hours. We have to move the colony. Please report to your hurricane protocol stations in the next hour.”
Roman groaned at the thought. Moving the entire colony was a huge endeavor, and as Becky had said, everyone was needed. I was secretly excited. Scared and excited. We’d all had to train for our hurricane stations. I was stationed with engineering for the start of the day and at the helm for the move. Roman had to secure his greenhouse then help build the protective walls.
Moving the entire colony was an engineering marvel, and one I didn’t think I’d get to see. Although there was danger, I was excited to see the whole process. We got ready quickly and headed to our stations. Roman was certainly more concerned than me, and he made me stop to kiss me and tell me he loved me before we parted.
As I suspected, all of the Explorers engineers were already in the Engineering/Maintenance building hard at work. Tilly b-lined her way to me. “Captain, Should I get on the com and remind our crew and passengers where they’re supposed to be?”
My brain was still not awake yet. “Um… No… we… uh… we trained plenty of times. Maybe just send out a message that if they need reminding to contact you?”
“Oh, that’s better. You ok?” She examined my face.
“I…. neeeeed… coooffffeeeee.” I teased.
“Aye Cap. Whatcha need?” I turned to see Joe Coffey behind me; which made all three of us laugh.
“I need the caffeinated kind, not the engineer kind.” I laughed. A few seconds later Trick Williams brought me a cup of coffee. “Thank you.”
“Y/N” Seth said as he entered the room. “Glad you’re here.” An alarm sounded on a computer station, drawing Seth’s attention away from me.
Orange ran to the station, reading the display, “Fuck! Grid 10 is down.”
“Ten?” Seth asked. He hit a button on the panel in front of him. “Finn? Add grid 10 to the list.”
“Gotcha!” the Irishman said curtly.
Seth focused on me again. “Are you POSITIVE you want to go out into this weather? It’s nasty out there. Wouldn’t you rather go on a normal run… after the hurricane?”
I was itching to get off the colony and see the ocean closer. It was never 100% safe, even in perfect weather. Now, with a hurricane on the way, the ocean churned violently, massive waves splashing over the 20 foot protective wall around and soaking the colony every few minutes. I knew going out today was dangerous. Probably the most dangerous thing I’d ever done, but it was a once in a lifetime chance to see under the colony. It was also a job that HAD to be done, and I never made my crew do anything I wouldn’t do.
Under the colony were an array of thousands of propellers. On a normal day, there was no resistance to these propellers, allowing the ocean to turn them all the time. 60% of the colony’s electricity came from them. When a storm like this came through though, they functioned as a ship’s propellers. Ideally, this switch could be done from a control panel, but the process had not been perfected, and inevitably some propellers had to be switched by hand…. Under the colony.
“It needs to be done.” I answered.
Seth looked at me as if trying to find my fear. “Our people can do it You don’t have to. We have enough people.”
Tilly answered before I could. “She’s not going to change her mind. Cap’s a daredevil.”
“She gets off on shit like this.” Cassidy added.
“I do not!” I protested. “But I’m not going to put someone else in danger if I can do the job myself.”
Seth turned on the coms “Dexter, Cap’s coming with you.”
“Understood” came the answer. Dexter Loomis was a very quiet man who never talked unless he had to. “We’re leaving in 15 minutes.”
“Thanks” Seth answered. “She’ll be down soon.” I nodded my thanks to Seth. “WEAR THE TEATHER!” Seth yelled out as I exited.
Once on the ground, I took a deep breath. I had 15 minutes. It would barely be enough time, but I was going. I ran full speed to the greenhouse.
Roman barely had time to turn around and see me before I wrapped him in a hug. “I wish you’d reconsider doing this.” He said as he kissed my forehead.
“I can’t. You know why.” We’d had the conversation shortly after arriving at the colony. Roman had repeatedly asked me to send someone else if the colony needed to be moved. He’d begged me not to go this morning too, but he knew by now he wouldn’t change my mind.
“I know. That’s why I’m going with you.” I opened my mouth to protest, but his face stopped me. Roman didn’t put his foot down often, but when he did, there was no talking him out of it. Just as there was no talking me out of anything I set my mind to. I simply didn’t have time to have this argument again. and It wouldn’t do any good.
I sighed resigned to his decision. I kissed him gently and looked in his eyes before sprinting to the boat dock, Roman at my heels the whole time.
“We don’t need both of you.” Seth’s voice yelled over the sound of the roaring ocean.
I started to answer when Roman interjected. “I’m not leaving her side.” It was a command that Seth accepted immediately. I guess he knew what it was like to want to protect your partner.
“Let’s tether you together then.” Orange walked up to us with two harnesses, and we put them on.
“Boat’s full!” Dexter’s voice called over the storm. “Two people need to go to boat 3.” Two colonists raised their hands and Dexter nodded for them to go.
I barely had time to think as we boarded the boat and Orange tethered Roman and I together then tethered us to the boat, which was also tethered to the colony.
“Boat 2, ready.” Dexter shouted and the call was repeated by the crew still on the colony.
Boat 2 tethered
Boat 2 tether check
Check
Boat 2 prepare for launch
Boat 2 check
Before I could even think we were in the water. Massive waves rocked the boat, and Roman held my hand.
I thought the smell of the ocean was bad in the shower. Now it was overwhelming, and I gagged. A high pitched laugh caught my attention, and I looked up to see Finn Balor laughing. I might have been mad if he hadn’t handed me two oxygen masks that hooked up to our harnesses. I nodded my thanks and handed one to Roman. He attached mine, and I attached his.
“Better?” Finn yelled, and I gave him a grateful thumbs up. I could still smell the ocean, but the oxygen watered down the smell.
Boat 2 ready to approach
Boat 2 hold
We could barely hear the announcement made to the colony. Brace yourselves for the colony to be raised.
Before my very eyes, the entire colony started rising. Normally it sat a few feet off the top of the ocean, but the storm swell had caused the ocean to rise up. We couldn’t see underneath until the colony had been hoisted.
The huge metal columns under the colony creaked as they were forced to work, but slowly the entire colony lifted.
Finally, I got to see the propellers which hung under the colony. They weren’t very large, but there were thousands under the colony. 10,463 to be exact, each divided into grids.
40 foot long metal poles poked out from the underside of the colony; each with a propeller that was normally submerged in the water. They dripped now, the fowl smell of the ocean more prominent as they did. I tapped my mask and gave Finn a thumbs up as a thanks. By now, everyone in the boat had an oxygen mask on.
Finn, Damon, Dominick and McDonagh were rowing frantically trying to maneuver the boat under the colony despite the waves and wind. Roman and I were looking for paddles to help, but before we could find any, we were under the colony. It was a truly impressive feat given the conditions. Now that we were amid the propellers, our crew grabbed the metal columns and began to pull the boat to our destination; which was much faster than trying to row a boat through this weather.
Boat 2 is under the colony
Boat 2 proceed to grid 10
Roman and I grabbed columns and helped heave the boat to our destination.
Boat 2 proceeding to grid 10
Under the colony, so close to the ocean, with water dripping off the undersides of the colony…… the smell was putrid. I caught Roman gagging once. “Let’s just get it done” I said to calm him.
I was hoping under the colony would be calmer, but even surrounded by the tall columns, being under the colony was treacherous. The wind whipped harder down here, creating a giant wind tunnel. The boat was slammed against columns on all sides, making the risk of getting thrown into the ocean even worse.  It seemed like I got pushed into one of the metal columns every few seconds. I was going to be bruised for sure.
Boat 2 approaching grid 10
Great job boat 2. Turning settings to manual now
“Let’s get it done quickly everyone.” Finn yelled out, but I wasn’t sure the people on the other side of our boat could hear him over the sound of the storm and the violent water. It didn’t matter though. Everyone was already starting to work.
Finn removed his oxygen mask long enough to tell Roman his only job was to keep the people around us from falling in the water. His determined look and steady gaze said as much as his nod. I had dreaded bringing him on this trip, but now that we were here, feeling his hand on my harness was reassuring. He would keep me safe.
Grid 10 held 567 turbines. Each had the be manually changed to propel the colony. We stood in a big line, each of us handling a row of propellers before we stopped to pulled the boat to the next turbine.
Despite Roman’s steady hands, I slammed into a column hard, my head bouncing as it hit. Roman panicked and almost let go of the others. Hearing the bang of skull on metal, Finn turned to see what had happened. He reached behind my head, pressing his fingers into my hair. When he removed his hand, I saw red on his fingers. He didn’t panic. Instead, he motioned to the others in the boat who all sat down and tried to hold the boat steady while Finn grabbed a first aid kit. He spread a salve roughly over a large bandage and applied it to my skull, using the gas mask to keep it in place. Finn looked at me now, holding up a tentative thumbs up to ask if I was ok. I nodded yes and reached to move the boat to our next destination. Everyone stood and joined in; Roman’s hand on everyone’s tethers to keep them safe.
I heard the bang of metal on metal and turned to see another boat working on a grid to our stern. I couldn’t recognize everyone, but I did notice Dexter and Trick in the boat. He noticed our boat and pointed to my head with one hand while he helped pull the boat with his second hand. I nodded that I was ok.
90 minutes later, we were done, cheering at our success even though we still needed to get back to the colony before we could be considered safe. I had been thrown into more columns than I wanted to admit, and now that the work was done, the pain started seeping into my bones. Roman by my side had been a game changer. He never took his hand off me unless someone else needed saving. He’d saved Finn from falling in twice.
“Great job everyone.” Finn called out and motioned toward the other boat. A few minutes and one bruised arm later, we arrived at Boat 3. Loomis pointed to a corner of the grid and we started there. It was just a few minutes later that we were done. We pulled our way out from under the colony, and the colonists tied the boats together for more stability.
Loomis took off his mask and pointed at me. “Sit down. We don’t need you to paddle.” Even if I had been needed, I wasn’t sure I could paddle. My head must be hurt more than I thought, because I was getting dizzy and nauseous. I took his advice and sat. Roman handed me the tethers and took an oar someone offered him.
By the time we were back on the colony, I couldn’t stand. Finn helped Roman carry me off the boat. Dr. Thorpe was waiting for me. “Cap, What am I going to do with you?” He inspected my head. “Yup. Almost the exact same place as your last concussion.” He finished and pointed Roman to the medical building.
Seeing me being carried to the medical building was enough to stop everyone from their hurricane preparations. I saw everyone talking. “Oh shit.” I said under my breath.
“Nothing to worry about! She’s got a concussion. She’ll be fine.” Thorpe yelled out, then looked at me. “That should stop them from gossiping.”
“Captain!” Dr. Keith Lee said as we entered. “What happened?”
Roman laid me down on a table. “She got thrown against a column.”
“Probably another concussion.” Dr. Thorpe said. “It’s not her first. Not even the first on this trip.”
Dr. Lee nodded curtly. “Let’s get you into the scanner and see what we can do.”

Returning Ghosts
A Ghost World fanfic Seymour x Enid
PG13: Kissing
Tumblr media
It had been exactly ten months, twenty days, three hours, ten minutes and thirty seconds since Enid had abruptly chosen to leave. It felt like an eternity ago, yet at the same time, it seemed as if it was only yesterday that she had gotten on the bus and did not look back.
That summer had been the hardest of all the summers. It wasn’t necessarily to do with the fact that she didn’t know where her life was heading after graduation, but because Enid always felt trapped. Trapped inside herself, and wanting to see the World, and see herself from a different angle. And so, she decided to give into temptation, accepting her hidden fantasy and simply leaving.
Throughout the duration of her time away, she had sent postcards to her father and Becky. On the first night when Enid had arrived in Phoenix, she had called her father. He wasn’t too pleased, but he was happy to hear from her nonetheless. And then she called Becky- they spoke briefly, and on occasion she had checked in with her and also her father. However, as the months went on, the less Enid had contacted them.
Enid just wanted to be alone. And that is what she got. She wanted to think that this trip had made her into a different person, a little less afraid and more at peace with herself. She had seen so much, and been everywhere. From the Big Apple to Mount Rushmore, and now Enid felt it was time to come home, to face her ghosts she had run away from and the skeletons in her closet. She knew that she hadn’t left on the best of terms, although she vaguely cleared the air with Becky, she knew just how strained their friendship had become. Her father was definitely unhappy about her skipping town, but he was just happy she was safe and now coming home.
But, no matter how much Enid had run and run, there was always something in the back of her mind pulling her back home. The force was stronger than gravity itself.
Seymour.
Today wasn’t just like any other day at the headquarters of Cook’s Chicken. Confined in a cubicle, Seymour took a sip of his coffee and continued to go through the mountain of papers which sat on his desk. He tapped away at the keyboard, every so often taking another gulp of his own brand of poison, caffeine. Perched on the wall was a postcard from Enid which Seymour had been completely bewildered to see when it had been rerouted to his mother’s house. He hadn’t heard from Enid since the day she had visited him in the hospital after the incident, it certainly wasn’t his proudest moment but just like everything, he was simply human.
Since the summer, he had been working hard with his therapist. Digging though all those years of repressed aggression and emotions. It was transparent, after years and years of his isolation, he had simply snapped. But he was better. After living at his mother’s for the first few months, he had finally moved back into his old apartment with his roommate, Joe.
Seymour exhaled and rubbed his eyes, he leaned back and his swivel chair creaked as he did so. His gaze became locked on the postcard from Enid, it had a picture of New Orleans and scrawled on the back in Enid’s handwriting were the words:
Dear Seymour,
Thinking of you.
I’ll be home soon. Can we talk?
Enid
Seymour didn’t quite know how he felt about it. Truth be told, he never once blamed Enid for anything. In fact, meeting Enid was perhaps the best thing that ever happened to him. For years he had been living in fear, going through life thinking he’d be alone forever. That summer changed everything. He knew that Enid was only trying to make amends after arranging the fake date, and so she kept pushing him towards Dana… the real Dana. What hadn’t worked between him and Dana was between them, he wished he had made that clear to Enid. Once Seymour had returned home, he ran into Becky at the coffee shop where she worked, it was there that Seymour had discovered Enid’s abrupt departure. He hoped that he wasn’t the reason why Enid had left town.
A couple of days ago, he had received a phone call from Becky. She explained that Enid thought it would be best that their first conversation wasn’t over some pay phone. Enid had instructed Becky to ask Seymour if he wanted to meet her. After much contemplation Seymour agreed, as from the bottom of his heart he truly missed Enid. And so, today wasn’t just like any other day at the office, the infinite loop of pushing papers and going home. Today would be the day Seymour would gaze upon Enid again after all the time that had passed.
As Enid stepped off the bus, her head threw backwards as she inhaled the suburban air. Who knew she would one day grow to miss her hometown. The sound of the rushing cars passed by and the roar of the car horns filled the air, followed by muffled screams from angry drivers. Immediately, she chuckled, remembering the times when Seymour had yelled at a group of pedestrians for crossing the road too slow or when a car forgot to signal.
Suddenly, the nerves found Enid, as she realized she would be seeing Seymour tonight. There were countless days and nights when a multitude of thoughts were running through her mind. What would she say to Seymour? Where would she begin?
She shook those nerves down, her first intention was making her way home and taking a long bath. She figured the words she wanted to say to Seymour would come to her naturally.
Enid’s room had been left untouched. There were cardboard boxes being stacked in the corner, when she wanted to move in with Becky. Her clothes were sprawled across the floor, along with cassette tapes and her art supplies. It was a sense of familiarity and comfort being back here.
Enid placed her round black suitcase on the ground. She had packed light, only taking the essentials, and whatever supplies she needed she had bought along her trip. Something caught Enid’s eye, and she strode towards the yellow case which held her records. She pulled out the record she had bought from Seymour at the garage sale. A smile instantly flashed across her face, as she took out the black vinyl and placed it onto her record player. The sound of the music filled her room, and Enid strode towards her bed and laid down.
And just like that, she knew what she was going to say to Seymour tonight.
“What am I doing?” Seymour muttered beneath his breath. He wasn’t sure how he should set the table. In fact, this was the third time he had taken everything off the dining table and then placed it back on again. At first, he had placed two candles, and then figured it looked too romantic. This time he had placed two cloth napkins with a metal ring holder, and thought it seemed as if he was trying too hard.
“I haven’t seen you this on edge since Gerrold knocked over that beer onto your records and cleaned it with his sock.” Joe said. He leaned against the door frame with a bag of Cheetos in his hands, his fingertips were stained a blood orange color.
Seymour frowned. “That wasn’t funny- who the Hell takes off their sock and cleans a record.” He responded, then added, “And I thought I asked you to be scarce?”
“You know, you got mean ever since you came back.” Joe commented, as he took a handful of Cheetos and shoved them in his mouth.
“Not mean. Just setting boundaries.” Seymour turned around and decided to take the cloth napkins away. He stared at the two plates with a knife and fork on each side, then with a glass on the right hand side of the plate. “It has to go well tonight. I haven’t seen-” He broke off.
“I know man. Chicks, am I right?” Joe commented, and laughed. Seymour was not amused. “Alright, I’ll be out of your hair.” Joe added, before he returned back to his room.
Seymour exhaled, then peered down at his watch, it was almost eight o’clock and Enid would be here any minute now. His mind wandered, and he felt faint. He closed his eyes, inhaled and exhaled deeply, counting to ten and back down again. He wasn’t sure what he might say to Enid.
With each step Enid took, she felt her heartbeat grow louder and louder. Her lips trembled and she forced her fists curl up, as she didn’t want Seymour to see her shaking. It felt like a dream, one big long and crazy dream. She had always thought of seeing Seymour again, to look into his cerulean eyes, his chestnut brown hair, the way he was so gentle and the way he had held her. She missed him so deeply.
Now that she stood before his door, her feet were frozen, glued down to the very floorboards. As she stared at the wooden door, knowing that on the other side were all the bittersweet memories she shared with a person who probably knew her better than anyone else had ever known.
With all her might, Enid’s hand found its way knocking, knocking, knocking on the door.
The door immediately thrashed open, in just that moment Enid and Seymour laid their eyes upon each other. Both of them weren’t sure if this was reality or fiction. All the emotions came rushing back, hitting them like a flood of water that had broken the gates which were meant to confine it.
“Enid.” Seymour said, with a smile across his face.
“Seymour.” She responded and smiled.
Seymour stepped back and Enid stepped over the threshold. The place had looked the exact same since the last time she had been here. Enid could memorize Seymour’s apartment, and often there were times when she would imagine herself sitting on his bed and listening to records, or going through the amount of cool stuff he owned.
“How are you?” Seymour asked.
Enid’s back was turned as she soaked up the apartment. “I’ve been good, Seymour.”
Seymour couldn’t take his eyes off of Enid. She looked the same, perhaps her hair was a tad longer, it had now reached past her shoulders but it was still raven black. She wore a red long sleeve top with a black skirt and tights. Seymour had expected her to wear those chunky black lace boots she often wore, but to his surprise, she wore a pair of flat black dolly shoes.
Despite that, there was definitely something different about Enid. She seemed a lot more poised and confident. Not that she wasn’t confident before, but there was certainly a shift.
Enid’s finger ran across the chair as she stared at the set up. “Seymour, you really didn’t have to go through all this trouble.” Enid found herself unable to stop saying his name, she loved the way it rolled off the tip of her tongue. And the more she said his name, it was evident that he was real and standing in front of her. He was no longer the fragment of her desired imagination.
Seymour strode further in towards the room, he was now a lot closer to Enid. “It’s really no trouble. You probably haven’t had a home cooked meal in how long?”
Enid chuckled. “I guess it has been a while.”
Seymour went to the fridge and took out a bottle of champagne. Enid gestured and shook her head. “Oh, I’m not sure about that Seymour.” She blushed, remembering the time they had gotten into the champagne, which led to…
“Come on- it’s a special occasion.”
Enid contemplated for a couple of seconds, then responded, “I guess it is.”
The champagne popped and Seymour poured the contents into each glass. Both Seymour and Enid picked up the glass, then said in unison, “Cheers.”
The night picked up immediately, Seymour had cooked a wonderful meal of pot roast, which he had explained he had spent a lot of his time at his mother’s learning how to cook properly.
“You look well, Seymour.” Enid said, as she picked at the meat on her plate.
On the exterior, Seymour looked exactly the same, he still wore his dorky clothes- his dark brown checkered shirt with the top two buttons undone, revealing his white vest. His shirt was tucked into his mahogany corduroy pants. However, on the inside, he felt like a different person.
Seymour nodded. “It’s been an odd couple of months, but I’m doing a lot better.”
“I can certainly see that.”
“So, tell me about your travels?”
Enid sat back. “It was amazing. I saw everything, and I went everywhere. It really was an eye opener.”
“I’m glad you had a wonderful time.” He said, as he reached for the glass of champagne and took a sip.
Silence.
Enid sighed, she leaned forward and gazed into Seymour’s eyes. “Listen, I’m sorry about leaving like that. I want you to know it wasn’t you. I just- I had to get out of there.”
“Really, it’s okay Enid-”
“No, please,” she cut him off. For so long, she had been waiting for this moment. In fact, there were even times when she wanted so badly to just talk to Seymour, to hear his voice. But everytime, she found her fingers wanting to dial his number, she pulled back. It wasn’t fair on Seymour to drop this on him. He deserved a proper explanation. “After graduation. I didn’t know what to do, it was like there was this huge change going on all at once. Becky pushing me to move in with her, realizing that I wasn’t really that good of an artist. Then, losing that scholarship… and you.” She whispered the last word.
“Oh, Enid.”
“Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me-”
Seymour reached out, and placed his hand over Enid’s. His large hand covered hers and she felt comfort in being this close to him. “Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me too.”
“I felt really bad about the ad, and the fake phone call. I kept wanting to make it up to you, to help you find a date, but the more time we spent. I fell for you, but I didn’t know what to do- I figured you’d never look at me the way I wanted you too, so, of course I pushed you to Dana. And then- we drifted apart.” Enid choked on her words, and fought back the tears. “I don’t regret that night. I’m just sorry for what happened afterwards.”
“Enid, none of that was your fault. I handled the whole Dana situation terribly. You know how terrible I was-am, with situations like that. But Dana… it wouldn’t have worked with her anyway.”
Enid wiped a tear away from her eye, her glasses bounced off her face as she did so. Seymour got up from his chair, and knelt in front of Enid. He placed his hands on each side of her face. “Look at me,” he whispered softly. “I’m just happy that you’re back. You don’t know how much I’ve missed this whole time. But, I guess we both needed time apart to figure ourselves out.”
Enid forced out a laugh. “When did you become so confident?”
Seymour smiled. “You’ll have to thank my therapist.”
Later that evening, Seymour and Enid found themselves in Seymour’s room. A record was playing, and Seymour had his arm draped over Enid, as she rested her head on his shoulder. They remained there in silence for a couple of minutes, allowing the only sound in the room to be the soft sounds of the blues that rang from the speakers.
After a couple of hours had passed, Enid announced that it was time for her to get back home. She explained that her father was still paranoid that she might disappear again, even though she had assured him that that wasn’t going to happen.
Seymour proposed that he drive Enid back home, as he wasn’t keen on the idea of her roaming the streets alone at this hour of the night, to which Enid didn’t protest. As she found herself wanting to be with Seymour as much as she possibly could, but she wanted to take things slow.
The drive to her home had been quiet, they simply wanted to just be in each other’s company. When Seymour pulled up in front of Enid’s building and switched off the ignition, they sat there in silence.
“I had a great time, Seymour.” Enid turned and professed.
“Me too.”
“Do you think… Maybe I can see you again?” She proceeded with caution.
“Of course,” he responded, his hand found his way on top of hers again and Enid smiled.
Their eyes locked, and just like that, they found themselves leaning in towards each other. The touch was familiar. Seymour lifted his hands and cupped Enid’s face, as she leaned further in towards him. And finally, Enid realized this is where she belonged this whole time, here with Seymour.
They drew apart and once again found their gaze fixed upon each other’s. “Goodnight, Seymour.” Enid whispered, she was out of breath after her kiss with him.
“Goodnight, Enid.” Seymour responded, his voice low and soft.
As Enid stepped out of his car, and strode towards her apartment building, knowing that this was the start to a brand new beginning.

Thanks to Rowan for playing headcanon games with me. This is really fucking dumb. Please enjoy.
Widowmaker
(A MacGyver 1985 coffee shop AU enemies to lovers fic snippet except I'll get bored before they hook up. Murdoc is a non-binary icon in this fic because I said so.)
Murdoc can't keep employees. First of all, they have no tolerance for stupidity. Becky, they think her name was, (it was actually Marcella), set the temperature on Gaggia to 91.2 degrees farenheit when Murdoc had explicitly dialed that machine in to produce the best cup at 90.4 degrees. Second of all, employees apparently take offense at Murdoc's manners. Certainly, they have been known to say "I'll learn your name if you make it three months," but that's not rude, that's just honest.
And thirdly, the employees complain that working at Killer Java is like being constantly under secret shopper surveillance. It's not Murdoc's fault that they like to change their appearance frequently. If their employees are too stupid to recognize them, it's hardly their fault. Although, secretly, they do enjoy watching the idiots stammer with alarm when they finally realize that the person ordering them around is the shop's owner.
Aside from the employee turnover, running Killer Java is very satisfying. Murdoc never misses in their aim to pull the best espresso drinks in this town. Every perfect shot pulled gets a polaroid picture taken, stashed away in their scrapbook of memories.
The only thing that's getting right under Murdoc's skin is the coffee shop (if you can call it that) across the street, Mac's Place.
Mac's place is not sleek. It does not have a stable of Italian espresso machines kept in the finest running order. It serves something that is a cross between straight drip and pour over. Certainly, the amount of borosilicate glass and copper tubing behind the counter indicates the mysteries of a scientific mind at work, and what that scientific mind pours from a large erlenmeyer flask is a fine, delicious cup of joe. The beans are the secret.
The owner, MacGyver, opens the shop when he's around, or sometimes one of a ragtag gang of employees will open up if Mac's sent beans back from wherever he's traveling. Given the rarity and quality of the beans, the reasonable price of a cup of coffee, and the sketchy hours, some people are convinced it's a money laundering front. But if you catch Mac when he's in town, he'll just lean across the counter, smile easy, and say "I paid fair for them, and I sell a cup at a fair price, works out for me."
He doesn't mention that paying fair may have involved undermining a government or preventing a destructive logging project.
Murdoc serves their coffee in tiny porcelain demitasse. Mac serves his coffee in diner mugs the worse for wear, logos from diners all over the country on them. Murdoc has a contract with the best patisserie in town. Sometimes Mac has a spicy tofu casserole special running with his coffee. Murdoc keeps reliable hours and can offer you a cup that is every bit as fine as the cup you had the day before. Mac is there sometimes, and it's anyone's guess what variety of coffee he'll have in. (Though the kopi luwak experiment was not repeated.)
So why, why, why, Murdoc thought, glowering across the street at the cheery all-American neon and counter stool coffee shop across the street, did Mac have lines forming to drink his pathetic drip coffee when Murdoc had the same steady but moderate flow of customers day after day.
"MacGyver", they huffed angrily under their breath.
It's important that you know that Murdoc is living their best life. Growing up very smart but very different from the other children could have lead to some dangerous places. Did, in fact. When they were much younger they had been recruited into a shady organization of assassins, due to their temperament and intellectual aptitude.
Their life might have been exciting in entirely different ways except: "Is this coffee robusta? How long has this pot been on? Since last night?" they'd been frankly insulted by the quality of the break room situation in between the pitches about how they could change the future of the world and earn a lot of money. So they made a rapid if somewhat violent escape and moved cross country to set up their dream shop.
Mac's got his eye on the shop across the street. For one thing, former Killer Java employees keep turning up looking for work. For another, it's kinda fun to see what outfit the owner will wear on any given day. Murdoc's former employees call them "disguises", but Mac's been around a few theater kids in his time. Whatever Murdoc wears, whether it's cargo pants and army boots, or a shoulder-padded wrap dress, they always have something about them that just fascinates Mac.
(That's all I have for now, if anyone actually wants more of this I could keep writing. Rowan has given me excellent plot points and character notes to explore further.)

Cast: Jessie Mueller (Jenna), Keala Settle (Becky), Kimiko Glenn (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Nick Cordero (Earl) Notes: Fantastic performances from the entire original cast. Jessie’s voice fits beautifully with the score, and she gives a gut-wrenching performance of She Used to Be Mine. Drew, Kimiko, Keala, and Christopher are each hilarious and endearing. Nicely captured with just a few quick dropouts and no major blackouts. There is one head on the left that can occasionally be seen, but it never blocks the action. There is some slight washout in some of the wider shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

November, 2019 | StarCuffedJeans’ master Format: MP4 HD
Cast: Jordin Sparks (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Al Roker (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Dayna Jarae Dantzler (Nurse Norma), Sophia Rodriguez (Lulu), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Dan Tracy (Father) Notes: Good HD capture of Jordin’s brilliant take on the main role. Act One starts right when “The Negative” begins. Act Two begins just a few lines into the Act. There are a couple of dropouts throughout the show but none lasting more than 10 seconds, with most being significantly shorter than that. Some very slight wandering as the master changed camera angles or focused on someone taking photos of the show with an iPhone. Please do not post screenshots of this video on Twitter ever. Gifs on Tumblr are okay after the NFT date, but don't go linking things to actors and shows. Trader’s notes: Jordin is my favourite Jenna ever so it was amazing to see her take on the role! The capture and audio are both amazing, and I love it a lot <3

17 October 2021 | smokeline’s master Format: mp3, tracked
Cast: Sara Bareilles (Jenna), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Anastacia McCleskey (u/s Becky), Ashley Blanchet (Dawn), Ben Thompson (Earl), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Gerianne Pérez (u/s Nurse Norma), Nora Lincoln Weiner (Lulu), Molly Jobe (Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father), Stephanie Torns (Francine), Tyrone Davis, Jr., Henry Gottfried, Curtis Thomas, Nyla Watson Notes: Sara, Chris, and both Lulu's last show! A little overloaded during loud applause or particularly heavy bass, and the person sitting next to me was (understandably!) audible with laughter and appreciation several times. Huge, extended applause during and after She Used To Be Mine, as Sara Bareilles got too emotional to finish the song. Includes the speeches after the curtain call.
Waitress - Broadway (Revival Audio)
11 September 2021 | smokeline’s master Format: mp3, tracked
Cast: Stephanie Torns (u/s Jenna), Erich Bergen (Dr. Pomatter), Maiesha McQueen (Becky), Ashley Blanchet (Dawn), Ben Thompson (Earl), Nik Dodani (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Olivia Lucy Phillip (Nurse Norma), Olivia Webber Olesen (Lulu), Molly Jobe (Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father), Emily Koch (u/s Francine), Tyrone Davis, Jr., Henry Gottfried, Curtis Thomas, Nyla Watson Notes: I was close to a speaker, so the audio is a bit loud in some parts, but overall pretty good. This show had a lot of random bloopers - Stephanie dropped a cherry and a banana, Ashley dropped one of her wooden spoons in front of the diner counter right before the drumline, and Olivia didn't have her stethoscope during the heartbeat scene so they had to mime it. Probably the only blooper you can hear is that Nik fell at the end of Never Getting Rid Of Me; he had to repeat the last line so he could get up and jump into the chair. Then he ad libbed about falling a few times in the following scene. She Used To Be Mine was unreal. She had to stop before the last verse for applause.

November 13, 2021 | juniper47’s master Format: mp3, tracked
Cast: Stephanie Torns* (u/s Jenna), Erich Bergen (t/r Dr. Pomatter), Maiesha McQueen (Becky), Ashley Blanchet (Dawn), Ben Thompson (Earl), Nik Dodani (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Olivia Lucy Phillip (Nurse Norma), Olivia Webber Olesen (Lulu), Molly Jobe (Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father), Emily Koch* (s/w Francine), Tyrone Davis, Jr., Henry Gottfried, Curtis Thomas, Nyla Watson Notes: Beautiful clear stereo audio. A very supportive audience for Stephanie's last scheduled show as Jenna. Lots of well-deserved cheers for her entrance and a huge ovation after SUTBM.

December 4, 2021 | TheatreCouple14’s master Format: mp4 (with tracked mp3s too)
Cast: Ciara Renée (Jenna), Maiesha McQueen (Becky), Ashley Blanchet (Dawn), Joshua Henry (Dr. Pomatter), Tyrone Davis Jr. (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Joe), Andrew Fitch (Cal), Olivia Lucy Phillip (Nurse Norma) Ava Kacey Thomas (Lulu) Notes: 4x3 Wide-shot phone boot shot from the mid orchestra. Minor head on the left hand side, but doesn't cover anything important. Most of the action is captured. Act 2 is somehow darker than Act 1. Joshua is probably the best Pomatter I've seen. He plays the part so adorably and his voice is like pure butter. Great performances from literally everyone in the entire cast. I forgot how FUNNY this show was.
Includes video and Audio (Tracked by ShesMyDoctor and untracked)

Bucky Barnes as Dr. Pomatter
Wanda Maximoff as Dawn
Natasha Romanoff as Becky
Sam Wilson as Cal
Steve Rogers as Ogie
Nick Fury as Joe
Quentin Beck as Earl Hunterson
Maria Hill as Nurse Norma
a/n: some of the dialogue I got straight from the play/songs to preserve the witty essence of Waitress, but keep in mind this is an au, so I will change things up regarding the storyline and ending. Enjoy!
p.s. let me know if you wanna be tagged c:
p.s. ii this chapter is merely introductory so we won’t get to meet Bucky just yet but he’s coming soon, I promise!
Tumblr media
prologue: what’s inside?
My hands pluck the things I know that I need. Peaches, creme fraiche, brown sugar, butter and of course, flour. Today’s a simple one. What should I call it? “Simplicity is key pie”. Nope. Might get confused with “Love’s the key lime pie”. “Some things never change pie”. Yup. That’s it.
“Y/N! What’s the special pie today?” Sam yells at me like every other morning. I don’t complain, I like that grumpy weirdo though I would never admit that to his face. I tell him the name of my newest recipe.
“I was having a creative block, you see. But then it struck me! Peaches! PEACHES, SAM!!!” I throw my hands in the air.
“No, I get it. Kinda.” He ignores my excitement but I know he actually understands how peaches are nobody’s favorite, but they’re good, they’re simple and they offer everydayness. Sam and I were in High School together and we both wanted to go to culinary school, so I know he gets me.  Neither of us got to make it though, somehow we  ended up here. Working at Nick’s Pies in the same town we grew up in, a town where nothing ever happens.
Nick is already at his table, that’s odd. He’s never here this early. Maybe he’s been watching spy movies late at night again. That “old fart” (Nat’s words, not mine) is adorable if you ask me, even if he gets on everybody’s nerves. Wanda’s cleaning the counter, menus and sugar dispensers. Thoroughly cleaning them. And Nat’s late. As always.
I like working here. These people are like family to me. The only one I have left. Oh, except for Quentin, my husband. I’ve been thinking about how he used to be, you know, when we first fell in love. Things have changed over the years. But it’s all fine. I have it good. Better than my mom at least. And I’m grateful for Quentin, I really am. I just wish he would be more, I don’t know, empathetic? Anyway. I have a weird feeling today. As if things were about to change. Let’s hope it will be for the better.
-
chapter 1: the negative
warning: vomit
Peeling peaches isn’t my favorite part of the pie making process, that’s for sure. I’ve always loved the smell of them, so why are they making me sick now?.
“Someone’s a little fussy today”. Nat says after noticing my state of distress. “Do you need any help, sweetie?” She rounds the table and snatches the peeler from me. “Seriously though, you look pale”.
“I’m fine, Nat. Thank you, but I think I just need some air. I’ll go take Nick’s order”. I walk across to old Nick’s table and he puts his paper down.
“Oh hi, I was wondering when somebody would offer me at least a cup of coffee here. It’s hot, isn’t it? My diner. My own diner doesn’t have any decent air conditioning!” Oh, here we go.
“Sorry, Nick. I’ll tell Sam to fix it, I promise. What can I give you?”
“Well, let’s see. I would like an omelette, with tomato on the side and some fruit salad, on a different plate. And some orange juice. But bring me coffee before you bring the orange juice. And a slice of your… “Some things never change pie”, but bring that after I’m done with my omelette”. It is hot here, he was right. “Oh and also… Jesus, are you okay? You look pale”.
“I’m okay, Nick”. Oh god. “I think I just… need to…  restroom”. I almost collapse with Wanda on the way to the ladies room and throw my arms around the toilet in the span of ten seconds.
“Y/N! Honey, you okay in there?” I hear Wanda’s voice, or was it Nat’s. Oh here it comes again. “Gosh, I’m washing this stall right after she’s done, we don’t want any patrons catching whatever she’s got”. Wanda. Definitely Wanda.
“Oh scoot! She doesn’t need you being a neat freak right now, Wanda”. Mother Nat scolding the children.
“I’m okay girls, I may have had a bad sandwich from the gas station last night. That’s it” I wash my hands and mouth over the sink while the girls fuss around me. “Really, everything’s… oh shit”... and here it comes again. I don’t even know if I have anything left inside that actually needs to come out.
Wanda rubs my back gently and says “Honey? Um, when was the last time you got your period?” After I’m done emptying my guts I do the math. “Shit. No, this can’t be happening.” I can feel my heart in my throat. I’m not ready for this. I can’t be.
“Y/N, time to pee on a stick!” Nat helps me up and calls Peter, the diner’s delivery guy. “Okay, Parker, time to be the hero. I need you to go to the drug store and buy a pregnancy test. Here’s twenty bucks, keep the change and don’t tell a soul about this or I’ll have your head, ya hear me?”
-
Two lines. Two pink stupid lines and I’m out of my body. I’m packing my things and going on a plane far from the diner, far from Quentin Beck and his beer smelling, curse yelling, guitar playing ass!
“I thought you don’t sleep with your husband much anymore”. Wanda is brushing my hair with her fingers.
“Stop it, I think she’s in shock”. Nat is washing the test stick. God bless her, she thinks I want to keep it. I shudder, still a little dizzy.
“Shut up, I’m inventing a new pie in my head. Tomorrow’s special. I’ll call it “I don’t want Quentin’s baby pie”. I take my little notebook out of my apron and start writing ingredients down.
“I don’t think we can put that on the menu board, Y/N”.
“You could still leave Quentin, you know? If you can bake 27 different kinds of pies every day, you can do it.”
“You’re funny, Nat.  I don’t want a baby right now, but above all, I don’t want a fatherless baby. Girls, I can’t do this on my own. And please don’t tell Sam or Nick yet”. They both grab my arms and Wanda leans on my shoulder.
“Hey, we ain’t saying a word to anyone but we’ve talked about this. Quentin isn’t a good husband, you know that. You think he’ll be a good father?”
“You could come and live with me! It’s a studio but-” I cut Wanda off.
“Okay, girls, enough. Nat, I know he’s difficult sometimes but he’s going through a rough time, he’s in between jobs and I couldn’t do that to him. And Wands, you’re very sweet, but thank you. I’ll figure it out”.
-
chapter 2: what baking can do

I already have chapters 2-4 written, so expect them soon. Thoughts?

Some folklore thoughts 💭🌲✨🏳️‍🌈
Part 1
I’m going to take it song by song while also tracking key themes in red! Please also feel free to add in your thoughts in the comments, I’m curious to see what else people think folklore is about...
folklore
‘folklore’ is defined as “a body of popular myths or beliefs relating to a particular place, activity, or group of people.” or, by Steve from Taylor’s IC,”the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, passed through the generations by word of mouth.” Taylor herself in her introduction/prologue says  “A tale that becomes folklore is one that is passed down and whispered around. Sometimes even sung about. The lines between fantasy and reality blur and the boundaries between truth and fiction become almost indiscernible. Speculation, over time, becomes fact. Myths, ghost stories, and fables. Fairytales and parables. Gossip and legend. Someone’s secrets written in the sky for all to behold.”
the 1
- firstly, it’s the best opening track she’s ever had! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
- “I’m doing good, I’m on some new shit” = sounds to me like a conversation you have with an ex, like someone is saying “yeah I’m doing great, I’m dating/doing ‘x’” the first time they run into their ex in a while.
-“I thought I saw you at the bus stop” has BIG “this city screams your name” energy but is also very clever by Taylor because Miss Karlie Kloss is ALWAYS on advertisements on bus stops/literal buses around the globe 🚌
- “I hit the Sunday matinee” to me seems like an inside thing, because obviously as the world biggest pop star, if taylor is going to go to the theatre or cinema, she’ll pick the least busy and most filled with older people which would be the Sunday matinee.
- “you know the greatest films of all time were never made” —> the greatest love stories never get told? happen behind the scenes? There’s something deeper here but I’m still forming the cohesive idea!
- “if you wanted me you really should’ve showed” = showed up or showed for the world, either way Taylor wanted KK to chose her not Josh so they could work but that didn’t happen so now she’s left to wonder.
- “roaring twenties” evokes two clear images for me! 1. They were both in their 20s for the entiretyof their relationship, the best years were spent together and 2. The Roaring 20s were a time of independence, pushing boundaries and breaking the rules of prohibition - which is basically what Taylor and Karlie were doing behind the scenes.
- “if my wishes came true, it would’ve been you” = let’s say, ONLY FOR ARGUMENTS SAKE, that Taylor really IS with Toe, that still means that this song is her yearning for someone else who she always loves more AND had to lose at some point. Looking at her past beards “relationships”, there are only two plausible options - Joe (which seems unlikely seeing as they’re still “together”) or CH who she supposedly wrote “you would’ve been the one if you were a better man” about. Either way doesn’t seem like it fits. However, if you look at it as Karlie is the 1, it becomes clear - it would’ve been fun being best friends and lovers for ever baking cookies and dancing around the kitchen, it would’ve been forever if Karlie hadn’t “married” jerk, it would’ve been her and it still is. 💗
- “in my defense I have none, for never leaving well enough alone” & “I know that I went psycho on the phone, I never leave well enough alone” are about the same moment with the same person = she didn’t leave well enough alone because she kept writing about Karlie and re-engaging us Kaylors as well as I’m sure, she kept up with seeing Karlie or keeping tabs on her to the point where it forced someone to reach out to the other.... she can’t apologise or defend her actions because you can’t explain the things you do for true love.
- “I have this dream you’re doing cool shit” aka starting a podcast, expanding businesses, making headway as an entrepreneur and being a highly-paid and respected international model? Seems straight forward 👀
- “you meet some woman on the Internet and take her home” = 1. Karlie is specifically interested in tech and the internet, it is literally her entire business and 2. if Karlie and Tay did break up, then because Karlie is actually NOT married to Josh, she hooked up with someone she met through the internet somehow (probs social media not an app) and Taylor found out this is probably a snarky comment about that from a jealous ex. Could possibly also be about the dream mentioned above. 💔🔐
- “another day waking up alone” = lost her lover, sleeps alone? Bold claim on opening tack.
- “persist and resist” = very famous feminist saying, civil rights/political echo?
- “the temptation to ask you if one thing had been different, would everything be different today” = this what if mentality continues through the album but personally, I think this is about Kissgate.
- “Rosé flowing with your chosen family” = repeats later, your chosen family could refer to Karlie’s group of friends like Derek and Jourdan etc.
- “would’ve been sweet if it could’ve been me” = flipped perspective, wishes Karlie chose her.
- “dragging up the grave another time” = firstly, THAT pin on her EW jacket now makes more sense. second, Taylor has written about Karlie for 4 straight albums now, she hasn’t let their love story die even if they did.
-
cardigan
- “brand new phone” = this is not some story, this is current reality. Taylor hides behind era-specific language and imagery in some other songs but this one is clearly about here and now, and her.
- “sensual politics” to me stands out because only really here and in TLGAD is politics explicitly mentioned and sensual politics to me screams sleeping with someone for political gain or with political connections which certainly sounds like someone...
- “when you’re young, they assume you know nothing” = sounds to me like a lot like a) love story and b) “you don’t know you’re gay, it’s just a PHASE! you’ll grow out of it!” 🏳️‍🌈
- “chase 2 girls, lose the one” = supposedly, when KK and TS met, Taylor was still in love/entangled with Dianna so perhaps she’s reflecting on making the wrong choice?
- CIWYW links: my baby’s high above the whole scene—> heartbeat on the high line, tidbit:as is clear in both Lover & 1989 New York is a sacred place for TS and KK’s love story, the high line is a) a beautiful NYC icon and b) right in between the girls’ two places...
- as mentioned, miss Karlie ELIZABETH Kloss was the brand model for Levi’s and definitely has worn some sequins and black lipstick on cobblestones sooooo.... 🤷🏼‍♀️
- “you drew stars around my scars” = see Drake’s birthday party and the infamous third Polaroid mystery 👀
- “stepping on the last train” could mean one of two things to me; 1. The last resort for KK was marrying J*sh or 2. the last train could represent some goodbye the girls had where KK chose something/someone else over Taylor.
- “peter losing Wendy” is such an interesting metaphor on so many levels but specifically, Wendy loses Peter because she wakes up (from nearly dying but nvm) and grows up and stops believing in Neverland and magic, basically Wendy loses an attachment to Peter because her reality shifts and that’s what gets remembered especially in the Disney version of the story. HOWEVER, the opposite is also true meaning Peter Pan loses Wendy because he can never co-exist with her again, he can never grow up or bring her back to Neverland without either killing her or ruining her. So this idea that someone wanted to change the ending from peter losing Wendy because he had to do what was best for her because he loved her echoes as Karlie didn’t want to marry Jerk or hurt Taylor but had to in order to protect her. Right? 😅
- “leaving like a father, running like water” = Taylor’s parents got divorced and there’s SOME thoughts Scott left the house and Taylor lives with her Mom in Nashville in her teen years.
- “I knew everything when I was young” - Taylor has always know she was LGBT+ 🌈 and also, baby VSFS vibes because as we all know, “we were both young when I first saw you...” send tweet.
- “I knew you’d come back to me” hopefully, HOPEFULLY foreshadows the girls being together/coming out soon !!!!!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
- music video wise, I’ll do a break down soon.
TLGAD
- ‘Rebekkah’ refers to the previous owner of Taylor’s Watch Hill, RI house, Rebekah Harkness. She was a divorcee until marrying Standard Oil heir William (aka Bill) Hale Harkness, a new-money dynasty was formed in this time from their profit. There are MANY wild, whimsical stories about ‘Betty’ (which is obviously an extended metaphor of folklore)  that this song tries to re-create/recapture.
- Taylor is also known as ‘Becky’ due to the popular meme so this is quite literally a play on her own character as well as the previous inhabitants of the house.
- St Louis is not only Rebekkah’s hometown, but also Karlie Elizabeth Kloss’.
- “the wedding was charming, if a little gouche” seems like a direct shot fired at Karlie’s woodsy photoshoot of 2018 😂😂(ironically, folklore’s key aesthetic is the woods!!)
- “it must’ve been her fault his heart gave out” refers explicitly to William dying of a heart attack in the house, but subtly I feel like this is a dig at the media who constantly blame women for things they cannot control, as they have done with Taylor too many times to even count.
- “who knows if she never showed up, what could’ve been” seems like Taylor is stuck thinking about what may have happened for her and Karlie if things had been different, see the 1.
- “she/I had a marvellous time ruining everything” is such an incredibly provoking lyric on two fronts, 1. obviously taylor buying her RI house had a massive impact on an otherwise sleepy holiday town that is now more famous for Taylor’s july 4 parties than anything else and 2. seems introspective or personal, as if the things that ruined everything for Karlie and Taylor were the best and most marvellous parts of their relationship (big sur, kissgate etc.)
- “flew in all her bitch pack friends from the city” is not only about the friends and celebs Rebekkah was notorious for hosting but also Taylor’s ‘bitches and model’ girl gang circa 2015 which includes one Karlie Kloss.
- “blew through the money on the boys and the ballet” refers to Rebekkah’s love of wasting her fortune on things, including a ballet company that went under not long after she created it BUT also refers to Taylor paying so many boys to be her beards and PR stunts whilst also spending her money on a certain ex-Ballerina. Also remember her AMA’s performance of Lover/ bts of Shake It Off? 😉😉😉
- “50 years is a long time” - 50 seems deliberate, a bit of a reach but note it WAS the 50th anniversary of Stonewall last year. 🏳️‍🌈
-  “free of women with madness, their men and bad habits and THEN IT WAS BOUGHT BY ME.” - this clearly shows that ALL the songs are being narrated by Taylor, some of the lyrics are about her, some are about these fictional or fantastical characters she’s created but there is her truth behind all of them too.
- “the loudest woman this town has ever seen” = Taylor is undoubtedly the most famous woman in the town who regualrly causes uproar there (see the Sea Wall debacle and the Taylor Swift Tax)
- in all, the two famed women owner’s of Holiday House have many overlaps and are forever intertwined.
exile
- “i can see you standing honey with his arms around your body” as the opening line is LOUD. to me, feels like this is about ALL those staged photos of Josh and Karlie uncomfortable/fake as hell on social media.
- “laughing but the joke’s not funny at all” is something we’ve all thought about Karlie’s marriage before and is about that moment where if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry at the situation.
- “it took you 5 whole minutes to pack up ... holding all this love out here in the hall” to me is about someone moving out of a shared home, like Karlie from Taylor’s NYC apartment, after a break up or fight. We know it is MORE than likely that the girls’ broke up, for a while or for good, in 2017/18.
- “I think I’ve seen this film before, and didn’t like the ending” is a lot like “Cause cruelty wins in the movies, I've got a hundred thrown-out speeches I almost said to you” / “All of my heroes die all alone.” which makes me truly believe that delicate > the archer > exile are all the progression of the same love story.  ❤️
- “now I’m in exile seeing you out” = both of them have lost their home, exiled from the relationship.
- “I can see you staring honey, like he’s just your understudy” has a lot to unpack. Firstly, see this photo. Second, as a beard, Joe is quite literally Karlie’s understudy - stepping in only to fill a public void or play her part when she can’t.
- “like you’d get your knuckles bloody for me” is basically this tweet
- “second, third and hundredth chances” - hopefully this means the girls WILL be together again soon!!!
- “those eyes add insult to injury” - Taylor has often made explcit reference to her lover’s eyes, but this could also mean the eyes of the public on her every move and relationship not allowing her to properly grapple with break ups. 👁️
-  “i’m not your problem anymore, so who am i offending?” - homophobes love to say wlw or mlm relationships “offend” them or their beliefs, so who could taylor be offending if she’s publicly in a straight relationship?
- “you were my crown”, Taylor was/is Karlie’s princess, if Karlie is gone, Taylor doesn’t feel like she’s a princess anymore. Likewise, Karlie is Taylor’s sunshine which makes the moody, misty, dark aesthetics all the more relevant to this album.
- “so I’m leaving out the side door’ - this side door? the other side of the door?
- “all of this time, we always walked a very thin line” between outing themselves and being happy?
- “I gave so many signs” - Taylor has queercoded EVERY album since her self-titled, she has been dropping hints and signs for years that she is LGBT+ so it must be exhausting to have to keep hiding who she loves. This is repeated so many times - it means a lot.
- written with William Bowery who nobody can quite identify, but Karlie and Taylor have been to the Bowery many times together and William is mentioned earlier in TLGAD
- this whole song is a duet, a two-sided conversation between lovers - her and karlie both without each other.
my tears ricochet
- Track 5 is, as per usual, deeply confessional, personal, emotive and moving. 😿😿
- there are lots of theories and layers to this masterpiece of a song, including that it’s in reference to big machine. I personally think every single song of Taylor’s is made up of layers that reflect multiple things in her life and experience so plausibly it can be about multiple things all at once including Sco** and Scumbag as well as Karlie, who was under Scumbag’s management for the majority of the decade. Another theory which with every new listen I think is more and more possible is that this is alternating between Taylor and Karlie’s perspectives.
- ‘if i’m on fire, you’ll be made of ashes too” whoever is associated with Taylor will ALWAYS be dragged down with her. If she’s being attacked, they will be too. Big 2016 energy.
- “even on my worst day, did I deserve babe, all the hell you gave me?” could be directed at a lover, or at Big Machine, or even the public for all the shit they’ve said about Taylor over the years.
- “I swear I loved you ‘till my dying day” seems a lot like the 1, as well as could be about the music and the label she helped build.
- “I didn’t have it within myself to go with grace.” Taylor was LOUD about her split from Big Machine, she called them out (rightly) and made noise which is not a ‘graceful’ split.
- “you’re the hero flying around saving face” very easily is about S+S jackasses but deeper than that, while Taylor was under immense attack and criticism, everyone who actually like her music pretended suddenly to hate it and her to stay ‘cool’
- “cause if I’m dead to you why are you at the wake?” this lyric becomes especially important in the final verse but essentially those who publicly distanced themself from Taylor still showed up when she was thriving again and/or because they actually truly loved her *uhmm karlie uhmm*
- “cursing my name, wishing I stayed” either at Big Machine or with Karlie/Taylor.
- “some to make a diamond ring” > firstly we still have never understood the ring image from the LWYMMD and ME! videos, it is entirely possible this is a continuation of that same symbol/image. Second, I think this hints to Karlie getting ‘engaged’ while still being with Taylor, the rock for the ring in the song was found by the two people gathering stones after all.
- “you know i didn't want to have to haunt you” both Taylor and Karlie have big reputations all over the world that follow them everywhere. For either one, they will always be haunted by reminders of each other.
- “you wear the same jewels that I gave you as you bury me” - on the Big Machine side, Taylor made the label professional and big, she is literally the sole reason it succeeded in the music industry so she handed Sco** his fortune and reputation which he still had when he sold her music to Scumbag and got into a very dirty bed with him. From the Karlie side, many people have noted that not only does she wear her black cartier necklace, which is assumed to be from Taylor, but to her ‘wedding’ wore a necklace she’d worn before with Taylor.
- “when I’d fight you’d tell me I was brave” could refer to Sco** encouraging her in 2016 to defend herself. Could refer to Karlie supporting her behind the scenes.
- ‘and I can go anywhere I want, just not home” seems like a continuation from exile, as in she’s lost the place she called home because her lover is no longer there but could also mean she can’t go back to her other albums and the house (see the lover music video) that they created as her musical home.
- “you will still miss me in your bones” could be about Sco** losing his money and label without her there to physically support and carry it or about the fact that the love Taylor and Karlie had is so ingrained it’s in their bones forever.
- “and i still talk to you when I’m screaming at the sky” this lyric has a lot of possible interpretations (i’ve seen one about cursing out God?) but i think it’s similar to “asking the traffic lights if i’ll be alright” as in, it’s Taylor asking the universe to help her make sense of things.
- “when you can’t sleep at night, you hear my stolen lullabies” suggests a) sco** + scumbag is still haunted by the music they stole from Taylor because it was literally the backbone of the business which is now practically worthless and b) that Karlie is kept awake by the songs Taylor has written for and about her over the years which again were stolen away by the jackasses at Big Machine.
- “you had to kill me, but it killed you just the same” again, same idea - big machine will never be profitable without her/while they hold her masters hostage. BUT Karlie wise, breaking up with Taylor broke her too?
- this is where the song changes. it shifts from Taylor’s story to someone else’s, personally I think Karlie.
- “you turned into your worst fears” as in she settled for the money and sold her values off by marrying Josh. Also, Karlie was under Scumbag’s management for years (part of Taylor’s hatred of him was him keeping the girls’ from doing as they pleased) so by being completely controlled by him, she turned into this completely fake person. Contrast 2014/15 Karlie with 2017/18 Karlie and it so much more all about PR and money.
- “you’re tossing out blame, drunk on this pain, crossing out the good years” - sco** and scumbag have made so many false excuses for their behaviour and completely erased the good relationship between the Swifts and sco**. Not sure yet what the Karlie side is here but it’s here somewhere.
- in conclusion, this is about Big Machine and Karlie. As the first song Taylor wrote for the album, I think it’s clear just how incredibly multi-faceted this album is. ☕☕☕
mirrorball
- first off, we can never forget about this and this look from both girls. ✨✨
- “I’ll to show you every version of yourself tonight”, the public and the private sides to them both. this is big glass closet energy in my opinion
- “and when I break it’s in a million pieces” is so personal and heartbreaking. 2016 and Kaylor breakup vibes. I cannot elaborate at this time.
- “when no one is around my dear” = the secrecy, forbidden love motif returns and again, if she’s in a hetero relationship, what’s to hide?
- “you’ll find me on my tallest tiptoes”, Just an fyi, Karlie, a giraffe, is 6′2″, Taylor is 5′10″ -- thats a big difference. 🦒🦒🦒
-  “i know they said the end is near” = end of the relationship or the end of hiding it, either way, it’s a romantic last private moment together, swaying as the room burns down.
- “i can change everything about me to fit in” = Taylor when she was starting out was forced to create this all innocent, american-girl image of herself. She has had to hide herself to succeed, as she said in Miss Americana, she was muzzled.
- “you are not like the regulars, the masquerade revelers” = Karlie is different to everyone else, or any other ex, ‘masquerade’ implies masked or hidden figures at a party, very Love Story
- “and the called off the circus, burned the disco down” = the ‘circus’ could be the media/public, or all the illusions Taylor has cast in order to appear straight. The ‘disco’, and Taylor is the ‘mirror ball’ to her lover means that this isolated existence of just the two of them.
- “I’m still on that tightrope, I’m still trying everything” for now, she’s still closeted, she’s still trying to have the best of everything.
- “I’m still a believer, but I don’t know why” believer in everything working out perhaps, or perhaps believing it’s better if she’s in the closet and it’s only the two of them.
- “never been a natural” = she has completely created herself through years off trying to be what people want, not who she naturally is.
seven
- “picture me” implies this is retrospective of Taylor, she’s reflecting on her childhood/youth.
- “I hit my peak at Seven” could either refer to the age 7 or album 7, ‘Lover’ which many critics argued was her best work.
- “Over the creek I was too scared to jump in” = fear of jumping is something Taylor has discussed in many songs but this is different, the creek represents something she fears will drown her.
- “High in the sky with Pennsylvania under me” = obviously, Taylor was born and raised in rural PA, so this truly is a childhood memory unearthed and explored. It’s personal to Taylor, it’s her story. 👏🏼
- “Are there still beautiful things?”  Recognizing the world isn’t all daisies and rainbows
- “cross your heart, don’t tell no other” = again, secret keeping and hiding something is a big queer image, ‘cross your heart’ is a quite childish phrase but it’s adult equivalent in Taylor’s world is an NDA, ie swearing people to secrecy is something she's always known... 🔐
- “Although i can’t recall your face, I still got love for you” = this childhood love has faded with time to memories, this girl simultaneously forgotten and remembered.
- “Your braids like a pattern” = definitely about a girl (1996 rural Pennsylvania was not the kind of place where boys had braids), specific use of YOUR pronoun not ‘my’ or ‘our’ suggesting again it’s about a girl. Very obviously about a first girl crush. 🌈
- “passed down like folk songs, the love lasts so long” = firstly, reference to Neruda’s poem Taylor used in the red prologue. second, folksongs change slightly from generation to generation but the heart/melody remains the same meaning that in Taylor’s mind, the story of her first girl love has changed but it’s still the same song/story all the years later. also, clearly a reminder of the setting of the song and the album as a whole being folklore. 💛
- “your dad is always mad and that must be why” feels a lot like Love Story and forbidden love, also again rural Pennsylvania in the mid-1990s was not the most liberal place so I can imagine a lot of homophobic ideas that perforated Taylor’s childhood.
- “I think you should come live with me” is such an innocent image of someone in love and wanting to just fix things by bringing them home, it also is like a baby gay version of uhauling
- “we could be pirates” = pirates are not just a childhood image/motif but also one historically seen as gay, gangs of pirates often had ‘mateolage’ agreements that basically were like widow’s benefits. See John Swann. ☠️
- “you won’t have to cry, or hide in the closet.” = I think this one is explicitly clear but just to be sure, Taylor could’ve said “hide when he lost it, hide if you wanted, hide in the woods too” etc. Read this for a full understanding of why it such a LOUD image to use.  It is VERY DELIBERATE PEOPLE. 🌈🌈🌈
- “just like a folk song, our love will be passed on” = different from the first bridge but deliberate again. Their story, aka Taylor liking girls from a young age will always be talked about, AND their love lives in this song she wrote.
- “picture me in the weeds before I learned civility” = again, given the homophobic attitude, ‘civility’ and straightness should be read as the same so Taylor is saying when she was a child, free in the grass and herself, she wants to always be.
- “I used to scream ferociously any time I wanted” = she wasn’t muzzled as a child, she could say and be who she wanted, screaming it aloud for everyone to hear but that changed as she grew up.
- “pack your dolls and a sweater, we’ll move to India forever” = ‘dolls’ again would imply it’s two girls running away together and India is this exocitc far off place to a child, a place where they can be together without anyone knowing them or controlling them.
August
- Karlie Kloss is born in August. Karlie Kloss posted yesterday about being a Leo (an August born). August belongs to Karlie Kloss. 🦁♌
- “rust on your door” = image of something well-worn, perhaps someone who’s been here too a few times before?
- “whispers of are you sure?” = obviously there is the sexual connotation, but beyond that, what if it’s about Taylor and Karlie going public etc.
- “never have I ever before” = see above but also the game ‘never have I ever’ evokes youthfulness and sounds almost like a reminder of a fun night with friends.
- “I can see us lost in the memory” = implies they’re still together, losing themself in the memory together
- “I can see us twisted in bedsheets” = again, sexual imagery but also the intimacy of sharing a bed with the person you love after sex
- “Like a bottle of wine” = matures the song a bit, the youthfulness of earlier is now more adult. 21 is America’s drinking age, 20s were mentioned early etc. 🍷
- “Cause you were never mine” = the whole of Taylor and Karlie’s relationship, Karlie has publically been dating Josh so she was never solely Taylor’s.
- “Will you call when you’re back at school?” = Karlie attended NYU in 2015, the height of Kaylor.
- “back when we were still changing for the better” = instead of changing to adapt/survive or keep up appearances.
- “wanting was enough” = wanting Karlie without labels was enough, rather than having to go public etc. Many have said for a long time that Karlie and Taylor fought about coming out or not.
- “cancel plans in case you would call” = sounds like a very love-sick Taylor Swift thing to do. Also waiting on a lover’s call when they constantly are travelling like both Karlie and Taylor do makes sense. ☎️
- “so much for summer love” = cruel summer echo? Summer 2015 was again, peak Kaylor so this could be a specific reference to that period
- “Do you remember? Remember when I pulled up and said ‘get in the car’” another specific reference, comes up again later in Betty, clearly is something personal.
- “Back when I was still living for the hope of it all” = back as in the past when everything was happening, hope of it all being the hope they’d still end up together.
TO SUM UP PART 1:
BENEATH ALL FICTION OR MYTH IS FACT & FEELING. Taylor is no longer hiding. Yes, some of these songs are about stories and people not her but there is so much of herself and her own story layered in too. PAY ATTENTION!!! Obviously, these are just my opinions, I’m not Taylor so I cannot know exactly what these songs are about but I think, after years of analyzing her music, these images/themes and deliberate word choice are well-versed in this part of the fandom. It is entirely possible this is the beginning of Taylor’s full, public coming out journey.
I’ll be back with Part 2 tomorrow.  Stay Tuned!

Revamped** Romitri Playlist
I’ve been re-living my love for my top book OTP, and decided I needed to make some changes to the original playlist I made five years ago (oh my gosh, has it really been that long since I’ve been introduced to this world?!) to include more milestones of their relationship, and deleted a few, as well. that I didn’t think worked. It got a little longer than the first one, too, because there are so many good ones that I couldn’t pick just one. As such, a couple of the chosen songs describe the same moment.

Chance Encounter
Prompt: okay hi! i don't know if you still need jane prompts (though it's not really mom!jane) but what if abby!jane and jessie!jenna bumped into each other in new york or something? like jane is in a busy coffee shop and jenna takes the only open seat across from jane while waiting for lulu and jim to meet her and she starts talking to jane. and when jim comes he makes a joke about them looking like sisters :D idk feel free to talk a LOT of creative liberty! hope you're well and had a good day <3 -ay
Here it is! I hope it’s alright! It truly was so fun to write this! Thank you for trusting me with your idea!
They say there are seven people in the whole world who look like you, but it is highly unlikely you’ll never meet them. Highly unlikely means there’s a chance though. You never know if, when, or where you’re going to find your lookalike. For Jane Seymour and Jenna Hunterson, it was about to happen in the smallest of coffee shops.
“Janey, can you please come and sit in the shop? It’s my first day of work.” Jane stopped herself from rolling her eyes.
“Why can’t-”
“Kat’s starting her first day too. Please?” Anne pouted slightly. “I’m just really nervous, having your familiar face around will help.”
“I suppose I can stick around the shop tomorrow.”
“Thank you so much!” Anne threw herself into Jane’s arms.
“Of course love.”
“And tomorrow after work, I can help you find a job too!” Since SiX closed, the queens were scrambling to find work to support themselves. Staying in New York was expensive, and the six of them were not ready to part with the place they loved to call home. Catherine and Cathy had both ended up working at a journalism office. Anna had found a place looking for athletic models. Katherine was more than happy to work retail while she waited for her first semester of college to begin. That left Jane who, if she was going to be completely honest with herself, wasn’t sure what to do now that the show was over.
-
The tall blonde had settled herself into the corner of the coffee shop at the very beginning of Anne’s shift and was quietly sipping her tea and reading. Every once in a while, Anne would come out from behind the counter with a new cup of warm tea for her friend.
“Thank you love,” she would say happily before returning to her book.
“Excuse me?” A voice interrupted her reading. “Is it alright if I sit here?”
Jane looked up, only now realizing that every other seat was taken but the three around her.
“I suppose,” Jane said curtly before returning to her book.
“Oh, that’s a really good book,” the woman who she didn’t know whispered. “I should read that again.”
“Carole King really is amazing, isn’t she?” Jane tucked the book away.
“Amazing. My husband and I saw the musical at the end of 2018. The woman who played Carole was stunning.”
“There was a musical about her life?” Jane didn’t know about this. Her and the queens were too busy with their own show at the time in Chicago to really take in all of the other shows around them.
“Yeah, but it closed. 6 years of running, especially now, is great.” Jane hummed in agreement. She knew this firsthand.
“Yeah. I was actually in a broadway show for a while. It was nice. But it closed, and now we’re all looking for new jobs,” Jane sighed. She really did miss performing, but at least now she was able to take control of her life again.
“Oh, what show? Maybe I’ve seen it?”
“Uhm,” Jane paused. “SiX?”
“Wait, I knew you looked familiar! You’re Jane Seymour!” the woman whispered.
“That is me.”
“You were amazing. Your song really got me.”
“Thank you,” Jane trailed off when she realized she hadn’t yet learned the woman’s name.
“Jenna. Jenna Hunterson.” Jenna stuck her hand out.
“Nice to meet you Jenna.”
“I mean it, your performance was amazing.”
“Thank you,” the blonde laughed awkwardly. “Sorry, sorry, I’m just not very good at accepting compliments.”
“Oh, that’s not a problem. Neither am I.”
“Enough about me. What brings you to this quiet little coffee shop?”
“I just got off from work, and my husband brings my daughter here after school sometimes. You know, she gets a treat, we get some of the best coffee around. I just wish they would tell me how they make their coffee so I could bring it to my shop,” Jenna muttered the last part mostly to herself.
“Oh? You work at a restaurant around here?” Jane was always looking for a new place to try.
“Uhm, have you heard of Lulu’s Pies?” The brunette seemed a bit hesitant to reveal the name of her place of work.
“I’ve never had the chance to go there, but I’ve heard amazing things. People around here say it’s the best pie you’ll ever find and that little Lulu herself is often at the diner with her Mama on the weekends.”
“Well, I can’t promise that it’s the best pie you’ll find, but it’s true that little Lulu is at the diner often. She loves seeing all the friendly faces in New York.”
“Maybe I’ll have to stop in soon. Do you work there often?”
“I’m there everyday baking the pies, waitressing, chatting with the regulars that come in. It’s-”
“Sounds like you’ve been there for quite some time.”
“Well, actually,” the brunette laughed awkwardly. “I’m kind of the owner.”
“That’s wonderful. I’ll for sure have to stop in now.”
“I’ll make sure to have the best slice of pie ready for you,” Jenna offered with a warm smile.
“So how’d you manage to open up your own business in New York?”
“Well, before it was Lulu’s Pie, I worked at a small diner out in Kentucky: Old Joe’s. When Joe passed away, he left me the place. That crazy old man, gosh I miss him everyday. He had the faith in me to keep the business running, and with a bit of work, the restaurant started growing. Jim, my husband, convinced me to take the leap and open up a place in New York. Two years later, and here we are, although I do sometimes miss the small town life.” The brunette kept her story short. No point in boring the poor woman.
“That’s wonderful. I guess sometimes you just have to take that leap.”
“I’m sure glad he told me to do it. New York is full of so many people, and everything is always changing. You never know who you just might meet.”
“Hi Jenna,” a man’s voice came from behind Jane.
“Mama!” a little girl squealed as her eyes set on her mother.
“Hi sweet child of mine,” Jenna opened her arms up for the child to run into.
“Did Daddy let you pick out your treat for today?” Lulu nodded enthusiastically.
“She picked possibly the most sugar-filled thing in the restaurant. The barista behind the counter snuck in two when she heard Lulu’s manners.” Jim chuckled, still not moving from behind Jane.
“Oh Anne,” Jane laughed softly to herself. Anne always had a soft spot for children, especially when they were well behaved.
“Who are you?” Lulu looked at the woman across from her mother. Her tone wasn’t rude, but rather genuinely curious. “I’m Lulu, and I’m 6 and a half!”
“Very nice to meet you Lulu. I’m Jane.” A pang of guilt surged through the blonde. She had to admit, she was a bit jealous Jenna was able to spend all of the time in the world with her daughter. If only Jane had been able to spend time with Edward.
“Take a seat Jim,” Jenna gestured to the chair next to her. “Do you remember that musical we saw a little while ago? SiX?”
“Oh yeah. It was pretty good. Why?” Jim hadn’t really looked at Jane yet.
“This-” Jenna gestured to the queen across from her. “is Jane Seymour. The third queen?”
“Jim Pomatter.” The tall and lanky man stuck out his hand as he sat. Only then did he really get a good look at the blonde. “Wow,” was all he could say.
“Pardon?” Jane tilted her head.
“You look just like my wife.” Jim looked at the two women. “You could be sisters.”
“Jim,” Jenna laughed awkwardly. “We look nothing alike. She’s so much prettier.”
“I-” the blonde didn’t know how to respond. “You’re very pretty too.”
“No seriously, you two look so similar. If one of you dyed your hair, you would look exactly the same! This is crazy! I don’t know how I didn’t see it before!” Jim couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
“Jane? Do you like pie? My mama owns a diner around here, and it’s named after me!” Lulu interrupted.
“Daddy, Jane, and I were having a conversation Lu,” Jenna chided gently.
“Oh, it’s alright,” Jane waved it off as she brought her attention to the small girl in her mother’s lap. “I do like pie! Your mama and I were actually talking about the diner earlier, and I would love to come in one day and try a piece! Do you think you could pick out the best pie for me to try?”
“If you come in on Satur- tomorrow! Saturday is tomorrow! If you come in tomorrow, I’ll be there! I can even make sure to save you a slice of Mama’s Mermaid Marshmallow Pie! It sells out really fast, but I’ll make sure Mama doesn’t give away the last slice.”
“Sweetie, Jane will come in when she can come in,” Jenna whispered.
“I can come tomorrow.”
“Really?” Lulu’s eyes lit up with excitement.
“I promise,” Jane giggled. It’s as if her presence was just making this girl’s day, and she didn’t even know she was famous. The little girl liked Jane just for being Jane.
“Yes! I’ll save you a booth, and maybe we can color and it’s going to be so much fun!” Lulu put her hand in the air, to which Jane high fived her.
“That sounds like a lot of fun Lulu. Should I bring my colored pencils?”
“You really don’t have to if you don’t want to,” Jenna tried to ease the pressure off of Jane. She knew her little girl could come on strong- something she no doubt learned from Becky.
“Oh it’s not a problem.” Jane smiled.
“Well Miss Lulu, I think it’s about time we head home. Mama’s gotta make some dinner, and then if you want to be up bright and early to be at the diner tomorrow, we’ve gotta go to bed,” Jim said as he finished off the last of his coffee.
“Can Jane come for dinner?” The little girl looked at her mother for permission.
“You’ll see Jane tomorrow at the diner.”
“But mama,” the child began to whine.
“Actually Lulu, I should probably get going too. I’ve got dinner to make for my family too.” Perhaps if Jane told the six year old she also had to go home and make dinner, it would be easier for Jim and Jenna to get her out of the shop. “But I promise you I’ll come in tomorrow with loads of paper and colored pencils for us to color. Does that sound like a plan?”
“You promise?” Lulu gave her a pointed look.
“I promise.” Jane smiled warmly. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Lulu.” Jane waved goodbye at the family who had begun to pack up their things. What the blonde wasn’t expecting was for the sweet girl to embrace her.
“Thank you for being so nice to me.”
“Thank you for being so nice to me Lulu. I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?” Lulu gave her a thumbs up.
“You know, Lulu isn’t usually that open with adults she’s just met,” Jenna offered casually as she helped Lulu back into her jacket.
“It’s because she looks just like you Jenna!” Jim still couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that a broadway star (and a former queen) looked just like his wife.
“Well, she’s a very sweet girl,” Jane complimented. The brunette nodded in acknowledgement.
“Have you found a job since SiX closed?”
“I- I’m afraid not yet.”
“Do you want a job?”
“I don’t think I could. I wouldn’t stand a chance against you in the kitchen, and I’ve never been a waitress, and-”
“Lulu needs a Nanny. The last woman we had watching her moved away.”
“I-”
“Oh please Jane!” Lulu looked at her with pleading eyes.
“Lu, why don’t we go outside and wait for Mama while she talks to Jane?” Jim suggested.
“Oh okay Daddy,” the small girl over-exaggerated her sigh. Bye Jane! See you tomorrow!”
“Looking forward to it sweetheart,” Jane’s voice was honest. The blonde really was looking forward to it.
“It was so nice to meet you Jane.”
“You too Jim.” Jane watched as the father led his daughter out the door.
“She really is a good kid,” Jane thought out loud.
“Would you be interested in Nannying for us? There’s no pressure. But since you mentioned needing work, and I have work to offer, I figured I would ask. If you don’t want to, then that’s more than fine. It’s just been a while since I’ve seen my little girl speak to another adult other than my husband and me with such excitement.”
“You’re willing to trust me, a stranger you met maybe an hour ago, to watch over your precious angel?”
“I’m pretty sure if you were to do anything immoral, we would’ve heard about it by now. You are kind of in the public eye.”
Jane thought this over. “I suppose you’re right.”
“So? What do you say?”
“I- I think I’d like that.”
“We can talk about the logistics of it all tomorrow? Over a slice of Mermaid Marshmallow?”
“That sounds wonderful.”
“Well, I better get going. I wasn’t lying when I said I had to cook dinner. But it really was a pleasure meeting you Jane. I think this may just be the start to a beautiful friendship.” Jenna winked playfully and made her way out of the coffee shop.
-
“How was your first day of work?” Jane grinned at the girl in green.
“It was alright. I saw you talking to that one family for quite some time.”
“Yeah. A sweet family.” Jane smiled as she remembered the chance encounter.
“See? Coming to my first shift wasn’t so bad afterall, was it?”
“I guess you’re right.”
“Are you ready to head home and start job hunting?”
“Actually Annie, I think I found a job. Nannying for that sweet family.”
Who would’ve known that something Jane didn’t want to do in the first place would lead her to a chance encounter with her lookalike, land her a job, and the beginning of a beautiful friendship?

Waitress
Waitress - Broadway - March 30, 2016 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Jessie Mueller (Jenna), Keala Settle (Becky), Kimiko Glenn (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Nick Cordero (Earl) NOTES: Beautiful capture of this stunning Broadway transfer. This is the performance where the set broke and Sara Bareilles came out while it was being fixed. She sang (a cut song from the show and Part of Your World) and talked with the audience, which is included. A+ Waitress - Broadway - June 14, 2016 (SJ Bernly's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Jessie Mueller (Jenna), Keala Settle (Becky), Kimiko Glenn (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Waitress - Broadway - July 20, 2016 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Jessie Mueller (Jenna), Keala Settle (Becky), Stephanie Torns (u/s Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Jeremy Morse (u/s Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Nick Cordero (Earl), Charity Angél Dawson (Nurse Norma), McKenna Keane (Lulu), Ragan Pharris (s/w Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Ryan Vasquez (Father) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture with no obstructions of this charming show. Kimiko was on leave and Stephanie steps into the role, doing a wonderful job as Dawn. Terrific cast and performances! A+ Waitress - Broadway - October 26, 2016 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Jessie Mueller (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (u/s Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Henry Gottfried (u/s Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), William Popp (Earl) NOTES: Excellent HD capture of the replacement cast members. The show is still in wonderful shape with a terrific cast and stellar performances! A Waitress - Broadway - April 19, 2017 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Sara Bareilles (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Molly Jobe (u/s Dawn), Chris Diamantopoulos (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Will Swenson (Earl), Anastacia McCleskey (Nurse Norma), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of the new cast change as the composer, Sara Bareilles takes over Jenna. Her performance of "What Baking Can Do" will knock you onto the floor! Terrific and fresh cast with a ton of exciting energy! A Waitress - Broadway - June 29, 2017 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Betsy Wolfe (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Molly Jobe (u/s Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Jeremy Morse (u/s Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Joe Tippett (Earl) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of Betsy joining and Drew returning to the cast. Betsy remains one of my and Broadway's new unstoppable leading ladies, which is clearly stated in this role! A Waitress - Broadway - August 6, 2017 FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Betsy Wolfe (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Molly Jobe (u/s Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Eric Anderson (Cal), Dakin Matthews (Joe), Joe Tippett (Earl), Anastacia McCleskey (Nurse Norma), Ella Dane Morgan (Lulu), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father) NOTES: Not the best filmed, but the audio is great and it’s the full show and the only known video of Christopher and Betsy together. Occasionally filmed vertical (but the video stays locked horizontally during that portion unfortunately) and edited together with horizontal footage. Lots of washout but what is captured is very interesting to see without all of the zooms in other videos. Waitress - Broadway - May 26, 2018 (Highlights) (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Katharine McPhee (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Brandon Kalm (u/s Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Steve Vinovich (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl) NOTES: Three minutes of highlight footage including "It Only Takes a Taste" and "What Baking Can Do." Waitress - Broadway - June 27, 2018 (Matinee) (Highlights) (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Stephanie Torns (t/r Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Erich Bergen (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Bill Nolte (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Anastacia McCleskey (Nurse Norma), Molly Jobe (s/w Francine Pomatter), Keri René Fuller (t/r Mother), Kayla Davion, Law Terrell Dunford, Tyrone Davis Jr NOTES: Act 1 Only. A lot less drop-outs/wandering than in my Mean Girls video. There are almost no obstructions. This footage has some white-out at times, but is overall a good capture with a lot of really beautiful close-ups. Waitress - Broadway - August 10, 2018 (Highlights) (sorrynotsorry's master) FORMAT:  MOV (HD) |  TRADER'S NOTES: Act 1 only CAST: Katharine McPhee (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Katie Lowes (Dawn), Erich Bergen (Dr. Pomatter), Adam Shapiro (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Bill Nolte (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Anastacia McCleskey (Nurse Norma), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father) NOTES: Act two only, recorded vertically from a box with obstructed view of the stage. Very steady camera, excellent audio quality, and pretty good video! Waitress - Broadway - October 2, 2018 (hitmewithyourbethshot's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Nicolette Robinson (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Katie Lowes (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Adam Shapiro (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Bill Nolte (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Anastacia McCleskey (Nurse Norma), Mariam Bedigian (Lulu), Molly Jobe (s/w Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Brandon Kalm (s/w Father) NOTES: First Video with Breast Cancer Awareness Costumes. Waitress - Broadway - January 12, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Sara Bareilles (Jenna), Anastacia McCleskey (u/s Becky), Lenne Klingaman (Dawn), Gavin Creel (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Larry Marshall (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Tiffany Denise Hobbs (s/w Nurse Norma), Riley Summer Perler (Lulu), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother) NOTES: There's a good amount of obstruction, and I took the opportunity to rest my hand whenever Joe was onstage...but pretty much everything that matters (or at least everything that the master cares about) is captured well. Sometimes we're on a slant and sometimes things aren't centered. Deal with it. I did the best I could while feeling comfortable and it's HD. Waitress - Broadway - January 5, 2020 (Closing Night) (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (SD) |  TRADER'S NOTES: Act 2 only CAST: Katharine McPhee (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Larry Marshall (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Dayna Jarae Dantzler (Nurse Norma), Delaney Quinn (Lulu), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Henry Gottfried (Father) NOTES: This recording is the result of two separate releases merged into one—please note that not all traders have both acts so check with traders. The following notes are for the Act One release—screencaps below include the separate Act Two. Blurry HD capture of the final Broadway performance. Act One only, it’s a perfectly aimed video with no obstructions but unfortunately all of the Act is blurry and very little details can be made out. Waitress - Broadway - April, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Shoshana Bean (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Molly Jobe (u/s Dawn), Jeremy Jordan (Dr. Pomatter), Eddie Jemison (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Larry Marshall (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Melody A Betts (Nurse Norma), Tess Murphy (Lulu), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Dan Tracy (Father) NOTES: A nearly perfect video and ABSOLUTELY PERFECT performance. Small obstructions occur at Joe's table (but who cares) and during Negative. The rest of show, however, is captured gorgeously (and this time not diagonally). The video is very Shoshana focused, but I try to give everyone (yes, Jeremy too) their moments. The colors are absolutely vivid and I was trying new stabilization settings on my camera and god I'm gonna keep it this way. Do not list this video with an exact date. Waitress - Broadway - August-September, 2016 (Highlights) (anstergam's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Jessie Mueller (Jenna), Keala Settle (Becky), Jenna Ushkowitz (t/r Dawn), Eric Anderson (Cal) NOTES: Highlight of the opening number, with a rare glimpse at Jenna's short-lived performance of Dawn. 1080p60 YouTube rip of an unreleased full video. Gifted upon request. Waitress - Broadway - August, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Alison Luff (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Colleen Ballinger (Dawn), Mark Evans (Dr. Pomatter), Todrick Hall (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Richard Kline (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Dayna Jarae Dantzler (Nurse Norma), Delaney Quinn (Lulu) NOTES: Excellent HD capture of internet sensation Colleen Ballinger and Todrick Hall's return to Broadway! There are a couple lengthy dropouts throughout Act One. Todrick is honestly one of the best Ogies on Broadway despite the key change and Alison's emotion as Jenna is breathtaking as always. Please do not post screenshots of this video on Twitter ever. Gifs on Tumblr are okay after the NFT date, but don’t go linking things to actors and shows. Waitress - Broadway - January, 2019 (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Sara Bareilles (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Lenne Klingaman (Dawn), Gavin Creel (Dr. Pomatter), Tyrone Davis Jr (u/s Ogie), Andrew Fitch (u/s Cal), Larry Marshall (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Anastacia McCleskey (Nurse Norma), Molly Jobe (s/w Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Dan Tracy (Father) NOTES: Filmed early in Sara's third run, before she added new riffs, but she still gives off a wonderful performance to a very reactive audience. Waitress - Broadway - July, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Alison Luff (Jenna), Dayna Jarae Dantzler (u/s Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Mark Evans (Dr. Pomatter), Noah Galvin (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Richard Kline (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Arica Jackson (u/s Nurse Norma), Everleigh Rottuno (Lulu), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Dan Tracy (Father) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of a lot of new and old cast members, including newcomers Alison, Mark, and Noah, along with Caitlin’s return to the role and Richard’s short temporary residence in the Broadway company. Dayna is absolutely hilarious as Becky. Act One starts shortly after Earl's entrance. Please do not post screenshots of this video on Twitter ever. Gifs on Tumblr are okay after the NFT date, but don’t go linking things to actors and shows. Waitress - Broadway - May, 2018 (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Katharine McPhee (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Christopher Fitzgerald (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Ben Thompson (Earl), Tiffany Mann (t/r Nurse Norma), Stephanie Torns (Francine Pomatter), Keri René Fuller (t/r Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father) Waitress - Broadway - November, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Jordin Sparks (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Waitress - Broadway - September, 2018 (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Nicolette Robinson (Jenna), NaTasha Yvette Williams (Becky), Katie Lowes (Dawn), Drew Gehling (Dr. Pomatter), Adam Shapiro (Ogie), Benny Elledge (Cal), Bill Nolte (Joe), Ben Thompson (Earl), Anastacia McCleskey (Nurse Norma), Mariam Bedigian (Lulu), Molly Jobe (t/r Francine Pomatter), Molly Hager (Mother), Matt DeAngelis (Father) NOTES: Incredible capture of Nicolette's first few days in the role, and the first known video of Adam and Katie. The action is very well followed, filmed from the same seats as the May, 2018 video. The quality is gorgeous, and the closeups are beautiful. Waitress - First National Tour - January 7, 2018 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Emily Koch (u/s Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Lenne Klingaman (Dawn), Bryan Fenkart (Dr. Pomatter), Jeremy Morse (Ogie), Ryan G Dunkin (Cal), Larry Marshall (Joe), Nick Bailey (Earl) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture with no obstructions. Emily does a wonderful job in the role and has such a powerful voice! Waitress - First National Tour - July 29, 2018 (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT:  VOB (no smalls) (SD) CAST: Desi Oakley (Jenna), Charity Angél Dawson (Becky), Lenne Klingaman (Dawn), Bryan Fenkart (Dr. Pomatter), Jeremy Morse (Ogie), Ryan G Dunkin (Cal), Larry Marshall (Joe), Jim Hogan (u/s Earl), Maiesha McQueen (Nurse Norma), Kyra Kennedy (Francine Pomatter), Grace Stockdale (Mother), Brad Standley (s/w Father) NOTES: Great HD capture of the Original Tour Cast. Desi does a wonderful job as Jenna, who has since left the Tour. Great performances! A Waitress - First National Tour - April 27, 2019 (Matinee) (myroadofgoodintentions's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) |  TRADER'S NOTES: Act 1 only CAST: Lulu Lloyd (u/s Jenna), Rheaume Crenshaw (u/s Becky), Ephie Aardema (Dawn), Steven Good (Dr. Pomatter), Jeremy Morse (Ogie), Ryan G Dunkin (Cal), Richard Kline (Joe), Jeremy Woodard (Earl), Tatiana Lofton (u/s Nurse Norma), Alex Tripp (Francine Pomatter), Grace Stockdale (s/w Mother) NOTES: Lulu's third show as Jenna. High def video, some minor obstructions esp towards end of act 2, some occasional white outs, and mild shakiness. Overall an AMAZING capture of Lulu as Jenna. Overall a beautiful capture of Grace as Jenna, her first bootleg after being in the show for over two years!! Curtain call is obstructed due to people standing that could not shoot around Waitress - First National Tour - August, 2018 (Highlights) (anstergam's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (HD) CAST: Desi Oakley (Jenna), Bryan Fenkart (Dr. Pomatter) NOTES: Bad Idea only. A few heads in front but worked around them as best I could and I don’t think much was missed. Minimal zooms, if there are multiple things happening on stage it tends to capture them all and for the most part it’s smooth footage. Goes out of focus at the end for about a minute (ushers) which is shown in the photos. This is also the show where David put cream in Nicole’s mouth in Pomatter Pie. Zero obstructions except a couple of heads at the bottom, but they don’t obstruct any of the action on stage. Waitress - West End - July, 2019 (hitmewithyourbethshot's master) FORMAT:  MTS CAST: Olivia Moore (u/s Jenna), Marisha Wallace (Becky), Ashley Roberts (Dawn), David Hunter (Dr. Pomatter), Blake Harrison (Ogie), Stephen Leask (Cal), Shaun Prendergast (Joe), Peter Hannah (Earl) Waitress - West End - March, 2020 (queenofthedead's master) FORMAT:  MP4 (SD) CAST: Sara Bareilles (Jenna), Rosemary Nkrumah (u/s Becky), Evelyn Hoskins (Dawn), Gavin Creel (Dr. Pomatter), Joel Montague (Ogie), Richard Taylor Woods (Cal), Andrew Boyer (Joe), Tamlyn Henderson (Earl), Laura Selwood (u/s Nurse Norma), Madison Worley (Lulu), Olivia Moore (Francine Pomatter), Leanne Pinder (s/w Mother) NOTES: Missing about 2 mins throughout Opening Up. A really nice capture taken from towards the front of the dress circle and with only one head that’s rarely in the way at all. Only action not well captured due to ushers is the start of club knocked up and ~5 mins at the end of never ever getting rid of me. Mike does a great job as Pomatter! Waitress - West End - October, 2019 (hitmewithyourbethshot's master) FORMAT:  MTS CAST: Lucie Jones (Jenna), Kelly Agbowu (u/s Becky), Laura Baldwin (Dawn), David Hunter (Dr. Pomatter), Joe Sugg (Ogie), Stephen Leask (Cal), Andrew Boyer (Joe), Tamlyn Henderson (Earl), Cindy Belliot (u/s Nurse Norma), Juliette Clemens-Lary (Lulu), Olivia Moore (Francine Pomatter) NOTES: Never to be shared publicly on YouTube, Tumblr, Facebook etc.

Coffee With Becky
Synopsis: Reader and Becky discuss a possible relationship brewing between the reader and Roman Reigns
Warnings: Talk of nightmare.
Tumblr media
Becky and I had finally made some time just for us. Catching up over a cup of coffee took me back to our indie days. “I’m so sorry it’s taken so long for us to sit down and talk. How are you adjusting?” Becks said as she swirled her coffee idly with a spoon.
“I’m good; thanks to you.” I replied.
“What do you mean t’anks ta me?”
“You introduced me to everyone right away, and it made things so much easier.” I smiled. “Truly, thank you.”
“No problem.” She continued to stir the coffee. I got the impression the stirring wasn’t just an idle movement but more a prop to make her look casual when she wasn’t. “So? Are you striking up any friendships?”
I leveled my gaze at her. “What are you hinting at?” She didn’t answer, and instead looked down at her cup. “I’ve known you for years, and I know when you’re trying to hide something. Just spit it out already!”
“Not’in’ really. Just wonderin’ w’at’s goin’ on between you and Joe.” She set her spoon down and looked directly at me.
I tried to look calm as I answered. “Nothing. You know that. There’s nothing going on. Just friends.”
“Bullshite!” She said a bit too loud, drawing the attention of a couple of college students trying to study.
“It’s not bullshit.” I whispered to her, indicating to the students that I wasn’t going to give them a show. “Nothing is happening. We are becoming really close friends. That’s all.”
“Yeah, no. I’VE known YA half mah life, and I know when you’re lying. C’mon.” She made a beckoning movement. “Let’s hear it.”
“Hear what?” I was stalling, hoping to find a way to change the subject.
“Are you two becoming a thing?” She raised her eyebrows in excitement.
I rolled my eyes at her. “No.”
“But you want to, right? You want him?” She stared directly into my eyes.
“Becks, stop. I’ll admit I’m attracted to him. Just... I’ve got to get used to being around him, so I can shake these feelings. That’s all.” She smirked as I admitted the attraction.
“Why do ya wanna shake the feelings? You two would be great together.”
I just stared at her stunned. “Becks, stop. It’s not funny.”
“Wadya talkin’ about, Y/N? I t’ink you and Joe would be happy together. You both love wrestlin’. You have basically the same morals and ethics. You/re both single. It would be perfect. You and Joe, me and Colby.”
 “Stop already,” I urged her.
“Stop what? Wantin’ ta see my friends happy?”
I realized she was serious. Really serious. “Becks, you’re crazy! He’s... well...HIM,” I emphasized the word him, “and I’m me.” I looked at her hoping to see she understood.
“Wadya talkin’ about?” She didn’t understand.
“He’s like a perfect 10. Gorgeous, sweet, smart, rich, successful, humble, generous, funny. He could have any girl in the world. Why would he even look at me?” Saying it out loud made me dejected, and a tear streaked down my cheek.
Becky was quick to reach over the table and took my hand, “Oh honey.... no no no no no.” She got out of her chair and came to kneel beside me, taking both of my hands, “You are beautiful and kind and funny and a million other things. You are an AMAZING person, and I’m so proud to be your friend.” I saw her begin to tear up. “You gotta stop hating yourself.” She wiped my tear away.
“I appreciate the compliments, but really. I don’t deserve him.”
Becky was adamant, “You do! You are t’e nicest person I’ve ever met, and Joe would be lucky to have you.”
Another tear escaped my eye. “Please, just stop.” I pleaded with her. She held her hands up in surrender, “Ok, but I want to say one t’ing, t’hen I’ll never mention it again.” She looked sweetly at me. “I’m pretty sure he’s developing feelings for you too. Will you PLEASE just consider the possibility that I might be right? T’at you have a bad self-image because of your mum, and that you’re so much more amazin’ t’an ya t’ink. Jus’ t’hink about it? Please.” I let out a resigned sigh.
“Ok. I promise I’ll think about it, but it won’t do any good. Don’t you think if he liked me, he’d have made a move by now? For goodness sake! I slept in the same bed as him and NOTHING happened.”
She stood up suddenly and froze in place. “You slept with him?” she said way too loud in complete shock.
“Becks,” I looked around to find the college students looking at us again. “Sit down.” I half whispered to her. When she did, I intentionally said it way too loud. “I slept in the same bed. I didn’t sleep with him. Big difference.” A glance at the table with the students confirmed they were still listening, so I quieted down even more. “I had a nightmare the other night.”
“Yeah, I know,” she said as she sat down. “I was t’ere.” She prodded me to continue.
“No. Not in the car. I had a nightmare a couple of days later.” I started. “He’d just told me that I could call him if I had a nightmare, so I did.”
Becky sat completely engrossed in what I was saying. “He told ya to call him?” She puzzled. “When? Give me some context here.”
“After the nightmare in the car, he invited me to have coffee with him. I did, and that’s when he said that I should call him if I had another nightmare.”
She shook her head but didn’t say anything. “So, that night, when the nightmare came… I was a wreck. It was one of the really bad ones…. So I texted him….” I was going to continue the story when I realized something. “YOU! You were the one who put his phone number in my phone.”
She was busted, and she didn’t try to hide it. “If we’re all gonna be hangin’ out toget’er, we should be able to get in touch wit’ each ot’er.” She said.
I squinted my eyes at her a bit before saying, “And you’re trying to get us together.”
She paused, “Well, ya. I t’ought you guys were gettin’ toget’er. I was just helpin’ t’ings along.”
I just sighed, “Becks.” She did look contrite. “Thanks for trying.”
“So what happened???” She was way too excited about this.
“I texted him, and he said I could come to his room. So, I did.” The memories of the night flooded through me. There was sheer terror. There was loneliness, and then there was relief when Joe held me. I felt safe. I felt like I didn’t need to be strong. I felt like he’d be strong for me. I’d been exhausted after the nightmare. Even walking down the hall to his room seemed like too much, but I made it. The look on his face when he walked out of the bathroom. Full of sweetness. Full of worry. Full of acceptance.
“Ya know ya coulda called me.” She said as she took her seat again.
“That would have involved waking both you and Colby.” I answered. “Plus, I don’t know… I feel safe with Joe…” Then I realized that made it sound like I didn’t feel safe with Becky. “I mean…. Geesh. I don’t know how to explain it.” I looked at her hoping she could understand my meaning even if I couldn’t say it right.
She nodded. “Ya, I t’ink I know w’at ya mean.” She changed the subject. “So, let’s talk about your push, and what you can expect.”
I breathed a sigh of relief as we started talking about my career.

In My Mind Part 6
Joe x Fem Reader
Warning; strong language.
Thanks to all for the warm-ish welcome back to this space. I’m sorry if anyone has been waiting far too long for this update. But it’s here now!
Enjoy!
Prologue  Part One  Part Two  Part Three  Part Four  Part Five
I finished Joe's face in silence as my boss hung around the trailer, making sure we didn't run off again. There were at least 2 things that I was certain of after that moment. Things were never gonna be the same again between Joe and I; and that I was dreading the follow up conversation.
“Right he's done” I stepped back and watched as she examined him intently.
“Perfect, right grab your shit you're coming on set” I frowned at her in confusion.
“Really”
“Touch ups, plus you owe me for fucking around earlier”
“That was my fault, in all honesty I was having some kind of crisis we needed a private area...” Joe jumped in for me, but it made no difference.
“Don't give a fuck, when the director is breathing down my neck, I'm breathing down hers” I shrugged and started to pack up some things in a bag to bring to set. I didn't even look at him, I couldn't. I let him slink away to his trailer as they prepared the scene. I was left to the mercy of my boss.
“You're good at this job, I've never seen you behave the way you have lately and because of him? You can do way better than that guy....he's a little ass” Nicola Kyle always had a way with words. A woman well into her 40's who clearly had never experienced any kind of love or happiness in her life. She was not the person I wanted to be speaking to at that particular moment. Never the less I continued.
“Don't talk about him like that he's a nice guy....I think he's cute” I paused for a moment and thought about him. “No! you don't get to think their cute, you don't hook up with talent okay, that's not how I run shit here and you know that”
“I don't wanna just hook up....I really like him” I went to chew the end of one of my make up brushes.
“Well he's clearly INFATUATED with you....it's been obvious since the day he sat in that chair.....the only person who doesn't see it is that dopey engineer who he's been using to get rid of his feelings for you”
“Don't say it like that, he's not using her...I don't think so anyway” Nicola put her hand on my shoulder and shook her head. She was pitying me.
“Men are all the same Y/N....I thought you were wise to that by now....if you wanna pursue this then be my guest....if you think he could be...”the one””
She removed her hand then ushered me to follow her onto set.
“You think I should tell him to cancel his date with her....I mean I told him to go on it but now....” The flood gates had been opened and I was spilling. However Nicola had had her share of this and put her hand over my mouth.
“No more...I don't wanna know, I just want you to be professional for at least the rest of the day” I nodded and continued to follow her in a much more docile manor than previous.
I wasn't needed much on set, I ran on a couple times but nothing intense. I couldn't believe we hadn't even got to location filming and I had already fucked things up between Joe and I. We both glanced at each other as he walked off set. God I wanted to run up to that beautiful bastard and just kiss him, but I contained myself.
“Can I go now” I touched Nicola on her shoulder and pulled her away from her concentration.
“You know what please do, you've done my fucking head in all day. But you're staying for night shoots next week”
“Okay whatever” I turned quickly on my heel and rushed out of set. Swinging my brush kit almost childish like.
When I got home and I shut the door slowly. I lent on it and took a few deep breaths and tried to numb the sinking pain in my stomach. I'd fallen so fucking hard for this BOY that I was risking my professional career, something I'd worked REALLY fucking hard for. What I needed was a bath, some booze and a book. But not any book, insert favourite book.
This book got me through the hardest times, it saw me through beauty school, the loss of anyone I had loved. It was a crutch in times like these. I smirked softly to myself as I pulled it from the bookshelf in my bedroom. I had tied my hair up in a scarf and had got into my bath robe. I just hoped this would get rid of that sinking feeling, that feeling that I may never find anyone that makes me feel the way Joe does again.
The water filled up the tub steadily as I poured my self a glass of goodness, watching the steam rise from the water I glanced at my reflection. They'll be another, there has to be.
BANG BANG BANG.
It sounded as if someone was trying to knock my door down. Instantly fear washed over me as I hurried to grab my baseball bat from under my couch. Completely disregarding the fact I was in a bathrobe and only a bathrobe I opened the door slightly; clutching my bat for dear life.
“Joe?” I just blurted out his name. As if it was the only thing I could say in the instance I saw him on the other side of my door. I pulled the door open the rest of the way still holding onto my bat. He looked me up and down.
“I feel like I had a dream like this once” He pointed at my bat, I threw it to one side as it crashed onto the carpet. I laughed nervously and pulled the robe around me tighter.
How did you find out where I lived?” Was genuinely my first question.
“I asked someone in your department; and they told me, like it was that easy, you should be cautious of who you tell that information to” I grimaced at the thought and moved on.
“Why aren't you out with Becky?” my next question. Only this time it was a little pointed.
“Who are you my Mother, I’m here aren’t I, not with her” He was so direct and blunt. I loved it. I invited him in and immediately remembered the bath I was running.
“FUCK” I screamed rushing to my bathroom. I turned the taps off just in time. The fucking thing was brimming with scolding water. I exhaled in relief and pulled the plug.
“I am so sorry, looks like you had some major plans” Joe had followed me into the bathroom, I sighed heavily then turned to face him.
“I needed a little reset. So one of these tends to do the trick...especially after I've been dicked around”  I pursed my lips in a cheeky manor. I wasn't sure if I was being conceited or flirting. At this point with Joe I just didn't fucking know any more! “I have to do night shoots with extras because of today, I'm still trying to figure out if it was worth it” I stormed past Joe and walked through to my living room. I felt him follow closely behind and I found myself standing next to my couch watching the man of my dreams lean on my bedroom door.
Joe just looked at me, or was it through me. I couldn't tell, I was still trying to process him even being in my apartment.
“Sorry...I....you just look so beautiful” his voice sounded like a wave of calm and warmth. SO naturally I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
“Really? With my stained robe and lack of make up. Wow you really are a good actor” I joked; but after taking another good look at Joe, I could finally read the room. I was frozen as I watched him walk closer to me and pull the scarf off my head, letting my hair free. There was no way I could disguise myself trembling as he played with my locks. He took a deep breath in and smirked.
“You done talking now?” His voice had softened to a low whisper. I nodded. No matter how hard I should have tried to fight it, I just wanted nothing more than for him to plant one on me. And you better believe a fucking church choir sang to the heavens in my head as soon as Joe Mazzello pressed his lips against mine. It wasn't an overly long or explicit kiss. But it was enough to make the hairs on my arms stand up on end. He pulled away, much to my dismay.
“Oh wow” I exhaled with my eyes still closed.
“I heard what you said today To Nic...and I know you don't think much of me right now but I think the WORLD of you. You're the first decent person I've met in months, who has obviously been hurt in the past and I can't change that, and a few nights with me wont erase them from your memory. But I just want the chance to show you how good it can be” I couldn't stop the tears, they rolled down my flushed cheeks and dripped from my jaw onto my robe.
“I'm scared” I whispered; unable to hold back my emotions. He had stripped me down to this with just a few sentences, I felt foolish.
“I know, and I respect that, I respect you” Joe's hands cradled my face now. His thumbs clearing my falling tears. I let him continue, lost in his words.
“I...you know every time I take on a new project I always call my Mom, and I tell her about my first day, who I'm working with etc.  She told me I had mentioned Y/N 20 times....in one phone call. I'm super fucking professional and I won't let anyone tell me otherwise; but you got me running off set, day dreaming. Forgetting my lines. Y/N I am out of this fucking world into you” I guffawed in response. I sniffed unattractively and grabbed Joe's wrists pulling his hands away from my face. I just stared at him, wondering what to do with all of this...

A Birthday Dream
OK, so I didn’t want to post this, because I didn’t know what to do with it, but on Shane’s birthday, I had a micro-dream. In other words a single scene section of dream, that was me watching an episode of RAW before the upcoming Royal Rumble. And on the one hand, I want to write this out. But, it does NOT translate well into writing, I have already figured that out. On the other hand, I cannot draw to save my life, let alone give it the full artistic treatment I want to. So I’m just going to put a short synopsis of what I saw in the dream under a cut, and yall can enjoy a sketched out version of a single scene that closed my “Dream RAW” Sidenote: Yes @komaniac I did have a Zowens-featuring dream. It was just this one long scene, which, in the dream, went way faster than it takes to read this, but it happened.
The ref counts the three count, marking the end of the women’s match that’s taking place in the ring. The contenders are not important. Just say it’s Asuka and Becky and call it a day. The announcers let us, the viewers, know that nobody has come forth from the mystery limo that’s been sitting backstage all night. And the superstars are getting antsy. Cut to said black limo, just sitting there in the back.  Rusev approaches. The announcers comment that, after the unpleasant surprise that happened last time, of course, he distrusts mystery limos! However, this time, he has Liv Morgan at his side. But as he approaches the limo, out of nowhere, Bobby Lashley and Lana appear and attack, with Lashley going after Rusev and Lana going after Liv. They start brawling and pushing each other away from the limo... ... only to run into ANOTHER fight! Seth, Buddy, and the AOP are in a long, drawn-out backstage brawl with Big Show, Samoa Joe, and Kevin Owens. Between the two brawls, if there was ever a wrestling image representing that old “Dustcloud fight” from the cartoons, it’s this. It’s a damn cluster. However, the odds are in the Messiah Mob’s favor (that’s what they’re called, fight me on this) and soon, even with Big Show opposing them, the numbers game gets too strong. AOP double team Show, taking him out, and then Samoa Joe gets knocked around as well. Finally, it’s just Kevin facing down the Mob, and he’s not looking too pleased about his odds. BUT THEN! From stage right, the Messiah Mob gets POUNCED by Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro, with Sami Zayn cheering excitedly in the background! The Mob is taken by surprise, and the ferocity of their opponents momentarily stuns them into brutal submission! Meanwhile, looking on, Sami and Kevin are having a moment. Kevin: Wow Sami. You really do have managerial skills. Sami: I TOLD you! Kevin: Hell of a team you got going on there. Sami: RIGHT?? Kevin: ... got room for one more? Sami: *Wide, emotional puppy eyes of happiness* Sami: ALWAYS. Kevin: *smiles* Kevin then turns and, regarding the brawl already in progress, which the Mob has regained control of, THROWS himself at them, taking the whole lot out, and getting fully into the mix. So the brawl continues, with the Messiah Mob fighting Sami’s crew. Sadly, it’s still a bit of a numbers game, with it being 4 on 3. And, also sadly, Sami isn’t joining in. This goes on for a bit. The commentators, watching from inside the arena, comment on how crazy everything is. AND WE STILL DON’T KNOW WHO IS IN THE LIMO Well, eventually, Big Show and Samoa Joe rejoin the fight and tip the scales back. The brawl heads back towards the arena, with Sami and Kevin staying behind. The two old friends look at each other warmly. There is a love in their eyes that goes beyond friendship, beyond brotherhood. It’s straight up in the realm of Soulmates and you can tell that there is so much that needs saying but will ultimately be left unsaid at that moment. Instead, Kevin rubs his nose and holds out a hand for Sami to shake. Sami considers the hand for a minute, before choosing instead to THROW his arms around Kevin, hugging him tightly. Kevin returns the hug, and they are once again together, as it should be. Jerry Lawler remarks that “They’re friends again? Is that what this means?” While Vic Joseph explains that “Some people never stop being friends. They go their separate ways for a bit, and sometimes even fight. But, in the end, they will always find their way back home” It’s all very moving. As the crowd reacts with cheers, however, the sound of a loud, slow clap can be heard off-screen, coming from the direction of the limo. Kevin and Sami, whose backs were turned to the limo, turn around to see who is slow clapping their reunion. The camera pans over to a pair of Jordans perched on the roof of the limo, and then slowly pans upward. Yup, It’s Shane. He’s Back. (AN: DID YOU HAVE ANY FUCKING DOUBT) Commentators: It was Shane! HE was in the limo! He must have climbed through the sunroof when nobody was looking! Shane: How touching. A real tearjerker, I must say. Kevin: >Hangs his head in defeat< Kevin: (softly) sonofabitch Sami: (slightly whiney) NO! No no no! You were GONE. You were fired! We were rid of you. For once in your life, can’t you just leave us alone?! Shane: Not a chance in hell. Shane: >Dives off the roof of the limo towards them< Kevin: >Very pointedly shoves Sami out of the way, taking the full blow himself< Shane: >Starts wailing on Kevin< Sami: >FINALLY gets physical, jumping Shane from behind< Shane: >Leaves Kevin alone and turns to Sami< Sami is looking absolutely feral and not remotely his usual sunshine self. He helps Kevin to his feet and the pair circle around Shane until Sami and Kevin’s backs are toward the limo once more.
Kevin, now recovered, smiles at the distinct advantage. Kevin: You know, for a moment there, I was pissed. I’ll admit. But, to be honest, right now, I’ve got friends, and you’ve just got your own sorry ass to go on. Putting you down will go much quicker this time. Shane: Who said I didn’t bring friends? A loud pair of sickening, simultaneous thuds echos through the backstage area as two chairs hit Sami and Kevin from behind, one each. The friends go down. Shane smiles. The camera pans over to the source of the chair shots, and, holy shit, it’s Rodney and Pete Gas. Naturally, like Shane, they are both older now (and Rodney is bald), but their cocky ass attitudes haven’t changed one bit, and those smug, bullshit looks they always wore way back when? Well, they haven’t changed either. Pete: Night Night. Rodney: Suckers! >cackles< Shane moves to stand beside them, and fistbumps both of them. Shane: Just like old times. Pete: The more things change? Rodney: The more they stay the same! Oh yeah! The commentators shout about “What does this mean for the Rumble? What does this mean for the WWE???” Camera focuses on Sami and Kevin, still laying on the ground, as RAW goes off the air. AN: I know this is written really REALLY shitty, but I cannot write action to save my life, and also, as I don’t have nearly the grasp on current kayfabe that I would like, the characterization is probably way off as well. Most of my fanfics, while having WWE personalities, are non-kayfabe or AU. Also, sorry Zowens fans for how this ended. But this is exactly how the dream ended when I had it, with the Posse standing tall. I absolutely adore Zowens. But I was a Shane fan first, and dammit, Posse4Life
