do people really think that mariner and jennifer aren’t gonna get back together?

like I guess I could be wrong but to me what happened at the end of trusted sources was clearly the set up of a multi episode conflict that will inevitably resolve itself returning everything to the status quo which, tho it’s technically new to this season, includes mariner and jennifer being together

I get why people get nervous when stuff like this gets done to queer relationships, but I feel like the writers have a track record of doing what’s narratively satisfying and those two breaking up like this wouldn’t be. like if it was a permanent breakup I feel like they’d dedicate more time to it yk.

idea—what if Parth Ferengi’s Heart Place had had Mariner and Jennifer in place of Rutherford and Tendi? I think it would be funny that they would probably argue a lot at some points. I would probably have watched that version of the episode WAY more times than I have!
