Limited Edition Highlighter Palette.

B E C C A x JACLYN  AHILL Champagne Collection Face palette, hands down the best palette I have ever come across. This was a limited-edition palette exclusively sold at Sephora Canada. I am very glad that I bought it in time, it cost about $60 and was totally worth buying in my opinion as it allows you to create many distinctive looks. With the shades included in this palette you can do a super glowing look with a bit of blush or a subtle look for a dinner evening.

Another thing I really liked about this palette is that it didn’t break me out at all and has a lot of product to last you a long time. My favorite shade is the “Amaretto Mineral Blush” the one in the middle, it’s nice and soft for an everyday look.

Now many of you don’t really know why using highlighter in your everyday makeup look so important but don’t you worry because you are about to find out. Highlighter basically enhances the contours of your face by creating an illusion of brightness and height in your face. Many people also use an highlighter to lift their face and push back features. It’s all about how you want to utilize the product.

But how do you know which highlighter to pick?

It’s easy, if you usually wear gold earrings and find that they complement your complexion than look for highlighters with warm bronze, gold or copper tones. However, if you’re on the other end of the spectrum, where you find that silver or platinum earnings flatter your skin tone more than you should consider sticking to warm-pink and neutral tones in highlighters.

All about my everyday Complexion Routine

Welcome back to another post by Wakeup Makeup

 In this post, I will be talking specifically about the products I use for my complexion on a daily basis. Also, I will mention how I feel about each product and if it good or not.

 I always start by using the Iconic photo finish foundation primer by Smash Box and I personally love this product as its perfect for all skin types and does not break me out. Also, works well with oily to combination skin and gives a flawless matte finish. It ranges from $20 - $60 dollars at Sephora depending on the size you get.

 Following the primer, I use Lock It Foundation by Kat von D in the shade Light 47 Neutral – light bisque with cool undertone. I personally have never found a foundation which blends in so well with my skin and lasts all day. If you’re someone who likes foundations which don’t feel heavy on the skin, this is the one for you. It is also very reasonably priced at Sephora for $42 dollars.

  I let my foundation settle in for a few minutes than continue the look by using Ultimate Coverage Concealing Crème by Becca in the shade Tahini. I use this concealer for under my eyes and use Translucent loose setting powder by LauraMercier to set it. Both the concealer and the powder can be found at Sephora for $20-$50 dollars, depending on the size you choose to purchase.

 To finish my complexion, look, I use Shade + Light Face Contour Refillable Palette for contouring. I personally felt that this palette wasn’t as good as I expected it to be because it’s hard to blend in. However, it is refillable so that is an advantage and its cost effective in the long term.
