first, those arts are fucking GORJUS my sweettums. as someone who has lost the ability to draw, that is beautiful. i used to think of becoming a free style painter or to learn how to draw digital but somewhere along the way i just gave up and decided to simply settle on writing instead. even now, when i see art tiktok or recommendations of compilation videos on yt, i feel a bit of an ache in my chest. its just there, y’know?

second, i think you should do for it. maybe try opening up an account on a platform ur incredibly familiar with. perhaps tumblr? or even ig? or even tiktok works too! just any platform you feel safe and comfortable and know how to navigate is good.

and yeah, i can def say felt to the “it will make my mental health worse if i only get 2 likes or smt” bc same same same. i try to write good and capture the characters’ personality correctly while keeping the fic ‘alive’ only to end up with like,,,, hundreds of likes but no feedbacks or reposts or smt LMAOOO

as for a single tip i would give is to expect everything. not everyones going to like ur content and they will suddenly crash into ur inbox talking abt how they hated this fic or smt of yrs bc it was disgusting or not their thing. that has happened to me like,,,, 3 times???? i think?????? and and!!! be sure to do a bit of research beforehand, me thinks. see what kind of attention you would get when u start to post on ur page or account.

From what i read on your old blog, zandik is the better cook, so it got me thinking of a lil scenario:

It was zandik's birthday, but he didn't care. What so special about birthdays anyway? It's no different from any other day, at least that's what he thought. You seemed to have a different view, 'of course it's important!!' your voice echoed in his head, he let out a sigh. He'd rather be tending to his reaserch and experiments right about now, but you've kicked him out of your shared little home, telling him to 'get himself something nice' and sent him off with a bag of mora in his hands. He honestly couldn't believe you'd managed to do that, granted, you did shove him all the way out of his chair and out of the house, but he didn't try too hard to stop you either. He'd humor you this time, but only because you were being much more tolerable lately.

The bag of mora jingled with each step zandik took as he made his way back to your shared house, of course he didn't get anything, why would he? Anything he needed you'd get him before he'd even ask for it, he'd just be throwing your hard earned money away.

The strong and chocking smell of smoke was what first assaulted zandik's poor nose as he opened the front door. 'what have you done this time??' as he stomped his way to the kitchen, the main source of the smoke, and-

It was quite... a sight, it left him and baffled. The kitchen was a wreck, flour and batter was covering the counters, and... the ceiling too?? Your face was covered in soot and flour, your hands covered in thick, strawberry patterned oven mitts, the same ones you insisted to buy because 'the little strawberries are so cute'. In your hands was a cake, well, what's left of it anyway. It was burnt beyond recognition, and still in the silver pan you baked it in, which was now also somehow, burnt. You were trying (and failing) to scrape the cake onto a plate, but it seemed to have literally fused to the pan.

It was only due to the sound of zandik dropping the bag of mora on the ground that you'd finally noticed his presence. Clear shock was written all over his face, his red eyes met yours

STOPPP NOT MY OLD BLOG 😭😭 but i guess i both hc that zandik can cook, and can't cook. ITS JUST. IT FEELS LIKE HE COULD COOK, BUT LIKE, SOMETIMES IM LIKE "that bitch should never enter the kitchen".. IT SEEMS SO SILLY FOR HIM TO BE THE ONE WHO'S GOOD AT COOKING (thats why my writing may differ time to time)

BUT THIS IS SO FUNNY AHAHAH,, he'd really rather be in his room because, well, birthdays were never important to him. it's not like people wanted to celebrate his birthday either way. you on the other hand? you're more sentimental on things that shouldn't be a big deal, but you are anyways. that's one of the things that makes you, you.

however, he does not appreciate you kicking him out of the comfort of your shared dorm room... he didn't complain, but that's besides the point (you looked so excited, he couldn't say no)! so he spent the day in a library to read whatever that interests him, and ignoring the stares and whispers behind his back.

he didn't except to come home to such a catastrophe. there are many reasons why zandik has banned you from the kitchen, and you making an absolute wreck of the kitchen as if a hurricane just passed your dorm was one of the reasons why he made those rules!! he pinched the bridge of his nose, holding back from showing any more irritation to not break your poor fragile heart. he should've known you'd pull something like this.

so he literally spent the majority of his birthday helping you clean up the kitchen. he sent you to the bathroom to take a bath halfway through and when you finished, he's putting back the rest of the messy plates on the drying rack.

zandik sighs when he looked at you. you were like a dejected kicked puppy with the way you acted, a frown on your lips and eyes all teary. you just felt extremely bad for fucking up :(

Tech talk

Tomorrow is kickoff. How do I feel? Kinda. Okay? I fetch a flu on the last days and my credo "do this or die on the road" starts to kick in. But on the other hand we always get a flu when we don't need it, eh? And when had we ever needed one? Anyway.

So far I wrote quite some Blog posts about how to find routes and plan stupid stuff. Stupid, because many things will not work once you start the trip anyway. But planing is still a good thing (isn't it?) because at least you learn about the possible options. And knowing the options is always a good thing!

But lets talk about something else: The Tech!!!!11!elf

It's so tech!!

I want to travel some 'roads' that are not very common for mid Europeans to hit. And what do you do if you want to know more but have no friends that ever leaves the home town? You reach out for social media and videos. And you probably had already noticed that I'm not quite a fan of vtubers and traveling youtubers. I would love to rant a bit more about them. But not now.

I still enjoyed to see the scenery. To see the locations. See the bus or the trains and having the opportunity to create my own, silly incomplete picture of what it is like. And so I decided that I also want to capture media! At least this time. Because last time, I did not even shot an single picture of anything in more then 1 year of living in Xi'an.

What to do with this media. Well. I don't really know! Will I just place them online? Maybe? Make youtube Videos that violate alot of copyrights? Maybe! Make fun on other popular vtuber content that made me cringe? Hell yeah! We will see!

Timelapse

The main brain fart that made me plan this trip was to see and feel the 'world' in between two places. And I noticed that some bored highway guys made timelapse videos of driving from a to b.

And while timelapse videos can have this 2007-warcraft-rouge-in-bw-with-linking-park-music feeling, they also can be interesting. Plus they ripe like wine. They are usually just showing the raw thing. No filters, no effects. No 'selection' of what to see. And I kinda like this. Nobody might be interested into a timelapse now. But it might be interesting later.

Anyway. So I decided to try that. And noticed, that there are not really affordable 'timelapse' Devices on the marked o.o?

Mobile Phones can do the trick. If you use some nice apps, they even could do it well. But for how long? What do you think how long will your power last? Mobile phones are small computers. They are not meant to record something for 4,8,24,48 hours non stop. And im pretty sure that most of the apps had not been written for this kind of 'professional usage', too.

Cameras are bigger devices. The can have a lot more capacity on board and the image quality should be nice. Okay. Do you want to spend more then 500 bucks on them? I .. dont know. Isn't it overkill? Another thing is that this cameras are huge. How to place them in public transport and let them run for 24h without getting robbed?

Build something! Yeah. Sure.

I got my hands on a cheap gopro7. When it comes to timelapse feature, there is absolute nothing positive to get something more modern. It shoots in 1080p and, to my big surprise, the build in power supply was able to last 12 hours straight without external supply. It is smal and I can easily tape it where-ever I want. With one picture taken all 5 seconds there is no shaking visible, even if I tape it straight to the casis of a bus, the picture remains very smooth.

360° Pictures

Why isn't this a thing? You shoot a picture and people can look around the whole place! ITS AMAZING! Fuck selfie with Ninni-Graniny in front of a Town sign. See the whole place! You can even upload them on google 'streetmap'!

Character Analysis, Conflict Analysis, and Thematic Analysis

I’ve been watching the debacle of controversy within the release of Hogwarts Legacy with the utmost of fascination. It stands out from other controversies in media of video games solely due to its nature. In the moral debate of consumership, I’ve seen arguments on both sides that spans the spectrum of quality. So while reading this point of view, I felt a need to comment on it. While I do think that this blog has valid concepts, Im afraid that the execution of the delivery is detrimental to those concepts. In simpler terms, there are plenty of counter points to be made.

Salazar Slytherin

The idea that Salazar Slytherin continuing reverence should be reconsidered is a valid one. In my opinion, it’s the fictional equivalent of southern states continuing to allow confederate statues to exist as public monuments. Nevertheless, theses two concepts begin to differ when we consider how conflict differs in literature as opposed to how conflict works in real life.

A life without conflict is ideal, yet a story without conflict loses engagement with readers to the point where some of them wouldn’t even consider such a work a story. Every cast of protagonist needs a cast of antagonists.

Salazar Slytherin serves the story well because the story puts Salazar in a villainous spotlight. Potential readers observe the wizarding world through Harry’s eyes and come to the conclusion of “Not Slytherin.” Slytherin then becomes comparative to the dark side of George Lucas’ Force because it and Malfoy are a dark reflection of what Harry Potter could have turned into. Salazar acts as an origin story of the counter pose idea of exclusivity to pure bloods that Harry and friends fight against.

Attempting to victimize Myrtle to the degree done here kinda comes off as silly when someone could argue certain statements about people forgetting about Myrtle. Moaning Myrtle would let anyone who passed her washroom forget about her existence. Imagine if you went to highschool and the girls there had one less stall because a girl constantly floods it in a hourly emotional tantrum. That girl would be socially ostracized by everyone because all the girls would hate her for limiting washroom options. Her only interaction would be with the kids who are hiding in that washroom for drug purposes, but those druggies don’t see her as a person, just a… whatever the life equivalent is for a plot device.

In truth, that’s what Moaning Myrtle is: a plot device. She mainly exists in the story to aid it in moving along. The trio need a place to brew poly juice; let’s do it in Moaning Myrtle’s Washroom. The last time that the chamber was open, a girl died in a washroom; hmmm, I wonder if she is friends with Moaning Myrtle? Man I can’t seem to figure out this egg riddle and would really appreciate if someone gave me the exact answer; oh hi creepy 60-year-old ghost who spies on underage bathing boys.

Personally, trying to make me sad about Moaning Myrtle is pointless because she’s not a character in my eyes. Strip away her usefulness to the plot, and all you’re left with is a caricature of a sad lonely socially awkward girl with seemingly no redeeming qualities. She had the chance to out her assailant by returning as a ghost, but she couldn’t because she was too busy feeling sorry for herself. I imagine that went she became a ghost, a staff member asked her what happened, to which she gave the same vague answer that she gave Potter half a century later: “I don’t know. Wah!” Cut to a montage of Filch mopping the washroom for years and awkwardly developing a weird friendship with Myrtle set to “Happy Together” by The Turtles until the main character can solve this stone cold case.

While it is true that Hogwarts would have fail an audit because of a basilisk, Hogwarts would have failed that audit even if Salazar kept his serpent out of the girls bathroom.

Quidditch could easily be deem unsafe by the Karens because if Little Leonard got knocked off his broomstick by a bludger, he be sent hurtling towards the ground.

The tri wizard tournament would be outlawed.

The restricted section of the library wouldn’t match up with checkout records because students can bypass them

Buckbeak should’ve been put down.

A legitimate case for discontinuing Remus’ acceptance in the school becomes valid.

Harris should be punished for having Cerberus.

Myrtle should be charged with sexual harassment.

Numerous girls should be charged for attempted drugging with a love potion.

Harry and Ron drugged Crabb and Goyle with a sleeping potion, then committed identity theft.

Highly questionable detention sessions; such as hunting spooks with Hagrid or ‘I shall not tell lies’.

Lockhart overachieving charges beyond plagiarism and copyright. 

McGonagall gifting Harry the Nimbus 2000 is a major conflict of interest.

I’m pretty sure that the shifting staircases are a major osha violation.

Arthur Weasley flying car most likely wasn’t up to safety inspection.

Now that I think about it, that candy that made steam come out of kids ears might be a safety/health violation, as the steam could cause severe internal ear inflammation and loss of hearing.

Countless cases of students fighting and assaulting each other with magic to the point that Dumbledore should consider himself lucky that a mass school Arvada Kedrava hasn’t happened… that I know of.

As you can see, it’s extremely easy to pick out the impracticality of Hogwarts setting. However if readers wanted sense and sensibility, then they should have gone to Jane Austin.

Hogwarts’ staff needed to be negligent in to an unhealthy degree for the sake of the story. Without such negligence, the story couldn’t have happened because Harry Potter and the gang couldn’t get into the shenanigans that they did, nor would certain staples of the franchise be present.

Conclusion

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter drew many in because it had a sense of fantastical adventure within a magical school setting. It also attracted a fandom because the main cast of the protagonist created an atmosphere where readers could dream of having friends in a wizard school setting. As a story it also incorporated

If the Anti Hogwarts Legacy group wanted to make a more compelling argument, first they would begin to refer to the title of the game as PigPimples’ Inheritance, but more importantly they would look to highlight the flaws in the cast that Rowling writes in a positive light.

Go after Godric Gryffindor and how he subconsciously excludes the gnome in the whole sword debacle.

Rant about how his ideals encourages the rule-breaking recklessness that sees it students earning more disciplinary punishment, then counter with how bias favoritism wins them house cups.

Reason that an inherent sense in of self righteousness has led to the Marauders bullying Severus.

Highlight how the house system ties into the philosophy of the four humors and how Rowling is placing choleric personalities on an unhealthy pedestal while casting undeserving shade on phlegmatic personalities.

Nevertheless, I would argue that the best move that the anti JK Rowling movement can do is to actually boycott her franchise all together. Not just in what media they purchase, but what media they talk about. Honestly, it might have been better if it didn’t write this lecture, as now HBO Max might try to create a sitcom of Filch and Mytle.

Hogwarts is only an amazing place when you don't pay attention to system and how they maintain Status Quo of it.

Something that horrifies me about Hogwarts is how it reveres Salazar Slytherin, basically he is a pure-blood supremacist, against Half-bloods, against Muggles, a genocidal man who, upon leaving Hogwarts, creates a chamber to murder students. Even though he left Hogwarts precisely because his ideals were not aligned with what the other founders believed, Hogwarts deliberately still holds him as one of the founders, reveres him and lets a house systematically select students who would please Salazar Slytherin.

And even if JK Rowling tries to claim that Salazar Slytherin's "legacy" has been erased and that there are good students in this house, that doesn't change the house's historic legacy, nor its stigma. Want to see how not?

Think Myrtle Warren!

She was an innocent girl, a student, who was MURDERED by the monster left behind by Salazar Slytherin!

The poor girl was forgotten, left to stay in a bathroom no longer frequented. Alone and without anyone knowing the real circumstances of her death. There is no memorial, no one talks about her and her terrible death in history class, nothing.

Hogwarts does not revere her dead, victims of GENOCIDAL ATTACK, but reveres the GENOCIDA. Myrtle is ostracized, oblivion, forgetfulness, neglect, no one speaks or knows anything about her and the terrible situation that led to her death, while Salazar and his legacy remain.

The innocent, the victim, is forgotten. But the founder whose ideologies led to her death is remembered as a great man worthy of occupying the same legacy space as the other founders.

Hogwarts doesn't know how to deal with its own history, when something bad happens they choose to "not talk about it" (they don't talk about Salazar Slytherin's evil, they don't talk about who Tom Riddle was, and they don't mention Voldemort's name).

It is simply frightening how Hogwarts allows the legacy of Slytherin to go on, when the victims directly affected by this evil legacy are not even remembered.

In a school attack, Hogwarts chooses to forget about the victim, and pretend that Slytherin had nothing to do with it. Hogwarts covers up the real culprit; Salazar Slytherin. Worse, Hogwarts lets an entire Common House exist in his honor and legacy.

Hogwarts deliberately pretends that, while there is a Sorting Hat systematically choosing students who would "please Salazar", they pretend to bear no responsibility should those students come to repeat their founder's ideals.

What sensible school thinks it's coherent to keep a genocidal and supremacist as "one of its honorable founders"?

Any sensible school would have removed such a house from selection possibilities. Especially because if he left precisely because his ideals were not aligned with the school, then why maintain a house that systematically selects the students he likes?

Hogwarts doesn't keep the founder, but it keeps his legacy. This is evil.

And when one of the students "to Salazar's liking" does something shit "Hogwarts simply pretends that this is an isolated and individual issue", as if it had nothing to do with the socio-historical and cultural legacy that the houses and their founders permeate in the student members.

And in general, Hogwarts houses are like Caste System. Students are deliberately chosen based on personality traits, where they will stand solely and exclusively with those who think like them!

Hogwarts does not teach about diversity and living with diversity. Its taught that you should team up with those who think like you and that you should maintain a rivalry with those who are different.

That's how Hogwarts houses work!!

That's why people ask first about which house you want to be in, instead of trying to get to know you for who you are, they prefer the stigma that will accompany you according to your house.

And remember, just one example: it was with a question about Caste, I mean "House", what the whole rivalry between Severus and James Potter began. In addition to them, there are several other examples of rivalry and unnecessary Bullying caused exclusively by House System.

And does Hogwarts really think its system is beneficial to its students?

When I was a kid loved Hogwarts, after I grew up and realized its cruel system, I can't admire it anymore.

We are told that there is no better place, that Hogwarts is like home. And most believe that, and think it's beautiful.

Hogwarts is only a safe place if you already live in an unstable, abusive and scary home (like Harry). So that makes Hogwarts look like heaven.

Otherwise, there is nothing safe or respectful about Hogwarts when students are killed there, and there isn't even a memorial to them. Poor Myrtle, poor Cedric.

It is easy to say that it is the safest place in the world when you choose to erase from history the events of insecurity and the calamity of having, among its founders, a supremacist and murderer.

One that even though he left the place, still influenced all the others who decided to follow his ideologies. And why wouldn't they? When the school displays him, on an equal honor with the other founders. As if he was worthy of such.

If Hogwarts had been REALLY concerned about no repeating history, haved nipped it in the bud.

But Hogwarts is negligent.
