I think the doorwings are one of the best parts because guess what! I animated them

So basically the animations they have: Idle, walking, running, swimming, jumping, hurt

He was a pain to texture and at some point I got scared I'll have to start from scratch, mostly because I messed up the files and the textures wouldn't apply. Obviously in the end I fixed it because I simply can't stop winning.

His animations also got a bit messed up. I planned for it to be possible to run and jump without the jumping animation interrupting the running one but oh well.(Not sure what went wrong I adjusted the priorities correctly)

Also I'm thinking of adjusting the hurt animation to be faster because it's not as clear

Annndddd also have a regular skin of him I made. He's very bald though

No one asked but “I’m scared” is such an underrated motivation for a character to do shitty things to others.

Sometimes it’s just that simple, but there’s always some deeper meaning as to why that character is scared— like the Bad Guy heavily traumatized Protagonist and now Protagonist is deathly afraid of getting on Bad Guy’s bad side again. It’s so underrated that a character is scared solely because the situation and personal consequences scare them more than the determent of others.

Maybe I’m not looking at that kinda of media that much, but sometimes I kinda just want a character to do shitty things to others because they’re scared. Like pressing the Big Red Button is gonna launch a nuke at the building they’re currently in with the Bad Guy, but if they chose not to then the whole rest of the city gets leveled by the Bad Guy’s evil death laser of doom— and then they chose not to press the button because they’re just frankly scared of dying. They entered this fight hoping to walk away, and now between the choice to save themselves or save others they indirectly kill everyone they knew because they were just to scared to pull the trigger on themselves.

So yeah maybe make characters be cowards a little more often?

Not to be rude everyone can have their own interpretation but just curious because I felt the majority of the women were treaty well by the narrative.

it's about the focus of the narrative as a whole. in season 1 we were primed for a story centered entirely around vi and jinx and their relationship. for the first two episodes in there entirety, jayce doesn't exist beyond one background line--we don't even see his FACE. he and viktor are, in season 1, essentially set dressing. they exist to explain the magic system of the world and the class struggle that exists within it, and while they may have had their own secondary narrative it was SECONDARY to the MAIN CHARACTERS OF THE SHOW, jinx and vi. (and to a lesser extent cait and mel.) by season 2, though, jinx and vi are afterthoughts in their own story. they become the secondary narrative to jayce and viktor's insane magical cult thing. the final episode dedicates about 5 minutes total to the two of them and ends with jinx implicitly dying off-screen. can you see how insane of a writing choice that is. to spend a full 10-episode season setting up the central relationship between two female characters and then dedicating MAYBE 5 minutes to resolving it by KILLING ONE OF THEM in the last 10 minutes of the very last episode of your show. not to mention mel, who by the end of the series functions basically purely as a deus ex machina and whose growth as a mage happens entirely off-screen while her own mother exists purely to be a villain in jayce and viktor's story. it's just so abundantly clear to me that the writers decided that what they'd written jinx and vi into was going to be really complicated to resolve, and so rather than taking the time to make an interesting resolution out of it they threw it out and poured all their energy into their male faves. what we're left with is a story that doesn't feel FINISHED, let alone cohesive, because the writers literally threw out the buildup of season one in favor of their male side characters.

…both these statements are (partly) wrong actually, and share the same problem: generalization.

see, all the term “furry” means is that someone likes the concept of anthropomorphic animals. That can encompass an incredibly broad scope of genres, mediums, tropes, styles, fan expressions, etc. It does not have any bearing on the individual’s moral character.

It’s absolutely true that some furries really are sweet and kind and generous and wholesome etc.

But unfortunately, it’s also true that some furries really are perverts and creeps and bullies and drama queens etc.

Painting the whole fandom as perverts/fetishists/“all about sex”/etc. is unfair to the furries who are not into those things and just want to have fun drawing cartoon animals, or dressing up as them, or however else they want to channel their hobby; as a “clean furry” who wants nothing to do with sexual side of the fandom I completely understand the frustration with this generalization and the knee-jerk reaction to refute it.

But, painting the whole fandom as sweet innocent angels is wrong too, and only makes us look dishonest when non-furries see us claiming that all furries are all wholesome all the time, only to turn around and find Kero the Wolf or some other infamous case.

Of course I’m not saying we shouldn’t celebrate the good aspects of the fandom, nor that we need to make a disclaimer about bad eggs every time we do. I’m just saying that mass generalizations are a problem in both directions.

The truth is that furries are individuals. There are good ones, bad ones, and all levels of in-between (this is true of any fandom actually, or really probably any large social group at all). Being a “furry” (aka thinking talking animals are cool basically) in and of itself is morally neutral; it does not make someone automatically good nor automatically bad.
