Well, to put it simple, I started feeling lost around the time when I started work as a junior concept artist that once told my boss, "One day I want to be involved in anime-styled projects!"

That day haven't come yet. Instead, I keep getting jobs that I don't enjoy cuz I'm too bad at it.
I felt like shit cuz, imo, I keep disappointing ppl.
I felt like trash compared to other artists.
I felt like I was wasting time if I wasn't practicing color & lighting.
I felt ashamed of my personal artstyle cuz it's no use in my current job.
I stopped drawing in my free time cuz after stopping myself from drawing what I like, I didn’t know what to draw anymore.
I was hiding all my likings in weeb shit too cuz at this point I thought I was a embarrassment. (I nvr decorated my desk either.)

Things started to change when I was given time and chance to do a small anime-styled portfolio project with a colleague. It’s like leaving a testament to whoever discovers this project, telling them that yes, someone is dead ass serious about anime style.
After that, I took a long break from my company. Staying home, I'm like, "That last portfolio I did I love it so much, I want to do it again"
"Fk it, now no one can judge me imma draw what I want. I will use my best skills even if companies may not need it."
Did some character design & fanart in free time, showing more anime-styled works on ArtStation.
"Instead of pushing everything to average, imma push what already had best in me to 100, so ppl see me, they can see what I’m best at, not just someone average. I want ppl to see that 0.0001% rare job they will immediately think of me."

Finally, time has come. Got a great opportunity. Found back confidence, went back to company to start working on it (this time my office desk is decor with pkm 🥰).
It was super hard & stressful as fk, but I never felt this alive before, it feels good to get feedback on something u truly want to improve. 1 compliment can make me go "I can do this, I still have way more to go."
At the same time, double hair down Jamil has dropped & I'm feeling myself to draw in free time again. Now, every morning if nothing to rush, I will arrive early at office & draw personal art, which is most of the recent drawings u guys are seeing right now.

In short, the main reason me feeling lost years ago is because I keep doing jobs I don't enjoy & I thought my personal artstyle is worthless to my job. I also keep comparing my weakest point to other artists' strongest point (which is a no no)
The key that get me back to personal art again is finding self confidence by knowing what's the best in my style, embrace it, and starting self love.
"I only draw personal art for myself, not to impress anyone. I enjoy my art more than anyone. Even if no one ask for this I still had fun drawing this." Remember this!✨
Moral of story is keep drawing in the way you truly desire, especially in your free time. It's the only way u can "revenge" on ur current state. If you have no drawing intention, how bout starting off finding artstyle goals on Pinterest? Color goals✨ shape & lineart goals✨design goals✨ Discover good arts that makes you jealous & go " That's so cool I want to do this too!"
The most important thing is, not every art pieces need to hit everything perfectly. Monday u can do 1 piece focus on shapes. Tuesday u can do another 1 piece focus on color. Wednesday anatomy. Thursday lighting. Let 1 subject become the main focus. It's ok to hit only 1 subject perfectly. Let that 1 become the strongest point in this drawing is enough.

Ramattra is an omnic, cold, and robotic. Due to his build, he is powerful. The upgrades with his nemesis give him strength others could only dream of. His wit is beyond most humans he suffices, and he's one to pride himself on his parts. But his favorite is his hands. With them, he can upgrade himself as he so pleases, hold the staff he brings to battle, pin his favorite pet to the wall as he thrusts from behind whispering insults as you sob. On you? Well.. all humans are the same in his eyes, but you.. you are different. He can't choose a certain part that's his favorite. If he kept the thought in mind, he would settle of how.. squishy human flesh is. How easy he can mold you into positions.. that's what he finds enjoyable the most.
C = cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
Ramattra doesn't cum, in fact he finds the idea rather.. unpleasant. Just another thing about humans he couldn't help but despise. Such organic ways of reproduction are messy.. and reproduction only creates more soldiers to harm his people. Yet his ideas can shift, for being a monk in the past, he has learned to change his ways. With a mind open he can find a sick pleasure in your cum, he doesn't which to be covered. Oh no, he likes bending you in ways where you get your fluids on yourself. E = experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
Ramattra doesn't.. only because of you he gave those omnic enhancements for human relations a try. But believe me, he learns fast. During the first time, it only took gentle guiding before he was already rearranging your guts while saying filthy things in your ear. You would've thought he was highly experienced, but no, Ramattra would never share the fact he spent how long researching human anatomy for this.
F = favorite position (this goes without saying)
He likes control, Ramattra wants to be the one in power. He bends his little human around as he so pleases. An ironic change of power, instead of the humans in control, it's him, the omnic. If you forced him to answer. He'd laugh and say, "What a petty question," before he would give in. His favorite is doggy, forcing your face into the pillow while he pounds at a harsh pace from behind, watching the curve of your ass jiggle from how hard he was going.
G = goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
He isn't humorous outside of the bedroom. Inside is no different. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't laugh, oh no. He would laugh at you, your reactions, how fragile humans are.. how needy they are. "Ha. Already all sensitive? Weak. You humans can't even handle such little time with a thing you crave.."
H = hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
Ramattra doesn't have hair. Unless you count the wires he has, but he doesn't actually have hair, let alone pubic hair.
I = intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
Ramattra isn't one for romance. But you.. well, he can make an exception just this once. After a strenuous day, watching armies go into battle. There's nothing he wants more than to see his little pet.. ironic how that is. After taking out the stress of the day on you, he's content to just hold you. Pet your hair and whisper sweet nothings. "You did well.. very well." Simple compliments are the world coming from him, Ranattra is no romantic lover. But during those soft moments, he feels like any person's dream.
J = jack off (masturbation headcanon)
When he first installed the.. enhancements he got. Of course, he had to try it out. The sensors.. well, they were a strange feeling but somewhat pleasant. When he felt something.. start to tighten, he grew concerned there was a malfunction, something he needed to fix. But he continued, and he found himself being pushed over the edge. Like his motherboard overloaded for a moment before this feeling of pure, relaxion hit. It was enjoyable, and if his little pet human isn't there to help him out, he might use his hand once more.
K = kink (one or more of their kinks)
Ramattra is well.. he thought things such as sex would be simple. It's just an act, nothing more.. right? He was soon to find out there was much more than just the act itself, emotions, positions, and even different kinks. At first he didn't want to expierement, but he found himself getting rougher and enjoying it. Without telling you, he looked into the more.. extreme parts. Hard domination peaked his interest, along with bindings. After trying them out, he learned he loved to deny you, making you whine and cry for your release. It pleases him, making a human beg for his mercy.

He's a private man, opting to claim you in your bedroom or his quarters. Away from any prying eyes, away from judgment. He still feels a small bit of embarrassment knowing he fell for a human. It isn't directed at you, but it feels like a weak point in what he fights for. So he just wants to keep his time with you private, just for him to enjoy.
M = motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
Ramattra wants to say he doesn't crave sex like the pet he has.. but that just isn't true. After a long day, leading his army, meetings, and so on. He needs to release his stresses of the day into you, to rut into the tight, warm walls he grew to love. He loves watching you grow needy over him, using his legs to hump against like you were in heat. Just how desperate you get over him is that it turns him on more than anything.
N = no (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
He doesn't want to be subservient to a human, no. Omnics have already had to bend to the will of humans to be cast as monsters once they had the freedom of choice. Being told what to do.. getting told by a pet of his wjat to do. It's just not something he will entertain the idea of. He wants his little pet to he obedient, not him.
O = oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
Ramattra doesn't have a mouth. Even if he did, he wouldn't waste such time with a lowly human, even if it was you. But oral for him? There's nothing he wants more than to put his little pet human in it's place on their knees below him, only allowed to please him.
P = pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
Ranattra isn't one to be soft, especially on a human. When he gets to have his way with you, he calls the shots. And he prefers it to be fast, rough, and make it so you can only focus on him. It's a way to pound all that stress into his own little human of his own, but on the days he accepts the fact a human has his heart then.. well, he decides to be slow. To enjoy the warmth you bring, the sounds you make.. all just to admire. All so different, but all so unique.
Q = quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Ramattra isn't one for quickies. If he wants it himself, he will take his time. Some things just can't be rushed. But if his pet is being particularly needy, then fine, he will give in just once. He won't admit the fact he enjoys he has the ability to make someone desire him in such a way, it's a boost in pride for him.
R = risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
Fighting wars is risk at its rawest form. Sending troops after troops to battles the machinery used would need to be rebuilt time and time again. Ramattra is used to risks. It's what he does on a day to say basis. This is why he wants to keep his time with you private, with little risks of being caught or putting you in danger. He wants to be in control of everything entirely. If there's the chance something could go array, he is not interested.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
As an omnic, his stamina is nigh infinite. He can go for as many rounds as he so desires, and he uses that to his advantage. Each time you two have sex you are left disheveled, tired, and sore. He can also last as long as he wants. He has control over himself. Ramattra is mean but isn't heartless. He will listen if you truly need to stop.
T = toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
He sees no purpose in using toys. He is right there, so why do you need a small bit of silicone? Because Ramattra is an omnic, he can switch out parts as he needs. After his favorite little pet has been rather.. obedient, he decided to treat them. As he started the process of preparing his little human to take him, his fingers began to vibrate. It was sudden, but felt oh so good. After hearing the noises you made, Ramattra decided he would happily install more.. erotic functions to his body.
U = unfair (how much they like to tease)
As a former monk, he knows patience. He has spent years of his life dedicated to meditation, waiting. His skills he still practices, the patience helping him plan each move carefully. And how long he can hold himself from you, he can go weeks without touching you. All while whispering about how your treat is soon to come, he wants you to disobey.. to touch yourself behind his back. His teasing is all with the goal to punish you. All humans are weak minded.. unlike him. So go on, he wants you to give into those selfish human desires. It isn't unfair. He just wants to prove a point.
V = volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
Ramattra isn't one to moan. Be loud, and give you the impression he's enjoying himself. You are more likely to hear him make noise on the battlefield over the bedroom. That's just how he is. When he's close, he would let out some grunts, but when he crosses the finish line, he goes quiet and enjoys the feeling. He would much rather listen to you.
W = wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
If he succeeds in his goal, giving omnics power, he believes they all deserve he will settle down. He doesn't wish for a pure domestic life, but he truly does wish to have you by his side as his lover. To keep you on a pedestal by his side, his favorite pet human. He wants nothing more than to show you off, to claim you in front of others once he doesn't have to worry about appearances.
X = x-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
After you came into his life, he learned more about humans. More than he ever wished to. Out of curiosity, he looked into omnic and human relationships and was surprised there was.. certain upgrades for such cases. He kept it a secret, but Ramattra had located such an upgrade. The.. device is purple in color. Made of silicone, with ridges from the base to tip. It's both squishy and firm, with wires he connected to his other sensors. Ramattra was genuinely surprised he could.. feel such sensations, but after getting the upgrade, there is no going back.
Y = yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Ramattra in an omnic who holds off on more.. indulgent activities. Only you had made him even entertain the idea of such obscene actions. To which he tries to ignore the need, but after getting a taste, he finds himself fantasizing about taking his little pet human more and more. But he holds large amounts of self-restraint, only he knows how often he dreams of indulging such.. peculiar activities.
Z = zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
Ramattra doesn't need to sleep, but when he's feeling rather.. tender, he will hold you close and let you rest in his arms. You look so small compared to him, and he feels protective. If you can fall asleep as he holds you, he will sit in silence. Meditating and enjoying the moment of silence you share.

Migraine addled feelings and thoughts about art and me.
My relationship with art is a little strange haha
When people ask me about...what I want to improve on, or what kind of critique or advice I am open to receiving, or anything of that sort, I don't really have an acceptable answer for them.
The simple matter of the fact is that I'm not...actively aspiring towards improving my technical skill. Being good at drawing/painting and taking the serious steps nessicary towards that end isn't really...fun for me, personally. Not as a goal, nor as an intentional part of my process.
I literally just draw for fun. My goal is to have as much fun as possible with each piece I make. If I am not having fun with a drawing, I stop drawing it. Simple as that.
I worry that this kinda chafes some people when the topic of constructive criticism, etc, is brought up. When someone asks me if I am open to critique, my "no thanks" isn't out of arrogance, but rather because critique takes time and energy, and there are artists out there who'll be thankful--rather than indifferent--towards receiving it. Very likely, the critique is a valid and very helpful observation, no denying that. But it is a bit wasted on me, I am afraid.
I approach my drawings as a hobby--like video games. That's my relationship to the craft. Some people might think I am very good at it. Others undoubtedly think I kinda suck at it, or that I could be much better if I took it as seriously as they do (or would). But that's not my goal. I just like drawing and making characters and story things, and sharing them with people who like it. I don't wanna be the best at it, I am not even very interested in striving towards my own "full potential".
I learned years ago that when art stops being fun, I stop making art. And I have learned that technical improvement comes naturally when I just draw a lot. It comes very slowly--on the scale of years--but it does come. I get bored of a technique and try on a different one, or get annoyed at a particular limitation and put the effort in to overcome or problem solve around it. But the pace is driven by personal enjoyment, not a desire for improvement nor even a fear of stagnation. So long as I am having fun, I don't care if my work stagnates. Like playing the exact same level of a game over and over again that is challenging enough to be rewarding, but doesn't exactly contribute to bettering your skill. I don't look at a piece I finished and consider the ways in which I could have done it better. Of course it could have been done better but I made it the way I did, I enjoyed it, and it's done, now. My concern is that hopefully next piece won't fight me and will be just as fun and rewarding to make.
There are people, excellent artists from both professional and hobbyist circles, who find a lot of joy and satisfaction in honing their skill and seeing the steady improvement in the work they produce. I am just not one of those people, haha.
And hopefully that's okay!
Most importantly, the nature of my leisurely enjoyment isn't a belittlement of anyone's hard work and dedication to the craft. We all make art for different reasons, towards different ends, and find joy in different ways♡

gerrymichael enjoyers and writers i want your opinion 🎤
ok so i have this au fic for gerrymichael where it's college au, and it's a like the whole bad boy/good girl (minus the fact they're both boys, and even that's questionable)
basically, gerry is stereotyped due to his more alternative looks and everyone assumes he's probably doing illegal things or just sleeps around a lot
meanwhile michael is the head of student council "goody two shoes" type, who most are sort of aware of but don't know anything about
gerry thinks about michael. a lot. he sees them in the halls for only a few seconds a day but thinks about him for a lot longer. hallway crush vibes. and when they get put into a painting class together, suddenly they have an opportunity to meet, and gerry is freaking out a usual amount. (there's more to the whole plot but that's just the beginning bit)

Gerard Keay does not know Michael Shelley.
The only reason he knows their name is because they're in the student council, meaning it's not uncommon for their name to be said during school events.
He has only seen them in hallways, passing by in a rush while holding papers or books that always seem like they're going to fall out of their hands. Even in those moments, most of what Gerard is able to catch is a blur of golden curls and eyes that are ridden with exhaustion.
So, it is safe to say that he does not know Michael.
That fact only caused confusion to him whenever Gerard realized his strange excitement once learning that Michael would be in one of his classes for the semester.
It was an art class, one that he had picked due to him already being practiced is painting and drawing. He assumed it would be a fun class, or at least one that wouldn't be too stressful. However, when he had first walked into that classroom and saw Michael Shelley sitting at an area in the back, Gerard had assumed the emotion he was feeling was stress. He couldn't pinpoint why, it wasn't like he was intimidated by their status, but he couldn't shake the feeling of nervousness he felt when he accidentally locked eyes with them. He turned his head quickly in that moment, deciding to sit in the front of the room despite that not being where he'd usually prefer to be. Something about Michael sitting there made Gerard think twice about sitting in the back as he normally would.
The lecture went smoothly, it mostly being an introduction to the professor and what would be happening throughout the classes. So did the next, and then the next one after that. That didn't get rid of the feeling he felt, however, every time that Gerard walked into that room and attempted to avoid looking at the one with golden curls in the back. He knew he'd have to talk to them at some point, it was inevitable, but there was something about them that meant he was more nervous to talk to them than he usually would be. And he very much denied the idea that it could be caused by any... feelings he may have. Gerard ruled it as impossible, as he had never spoken to them, and he wasn't that much of an idiot to fall for someone he'd only mostly seen in hallways.
Michael wasn't one to speak up in class, and instead they'd work silently on any research on the history of art they may have been doing, only giving simple responses or nods when the professor would come around and ask how their work was coming along. When Gerard thought about it, he didn't really know what their voice sounded like because it was always quiet or unintelligible from their distance. That only made him more interested in talking to them.
That day never came, though, much to Gerard's disappointment.
They both went through that class without talking to each other once, and when Gerard left that room for the last time he couldn't help but feel like he had failed at some kind of goal. A failure that had meant he would be left with only seeing the elusive Michael Shelley in hallway rushes again, which annoyed him in a way he didn't understand.
He did talk to them one day, though.
(note this is old as heck lmao i've gotten better at writing since i wrote this)

⭑ Rui would be the most creative caregiver ever! He’s so good at making things, of course he’ll come up with and make things for his little one! He always makes things fun, whether his little one is a toddler brimming with energy, or just a baby who doesn’t feel like they can do anything. He’ll find fun stuff for them no matter what!
⭑ Rui would be the best at coming up with games! He’ll come up with well thought through, yet still simple plots for playing pretend! Always has plot twists at the ready to keep the story engaging. He’ll have like- A billion versions of tag! Freeze tag, blob tag, flashlight tag, shadow tag, you think it needs more people to play it? He’ll prove you wrong! He can make anything work
⭑ Rui loves making things, almost everything he gets for his little one will be handmade! He’ll make them little robot toys to play with, he’ll buy blank pacifiers then decorate them himself (With his little ones help of course!), he’ll make them a crib and a playpen, so much cool stuff! He can also make balloons! Sooo many balloons for his baby!
⭑ Picky eaters are perfect for Rui! Why? Because he’s also a picky eater! His little one will never need to have a vegetable argument, they’ll never even see a vegetable near this man. As a result of not liking many foods I think he’s learned to cook for himself really well! He completely understand if his little one doesn’t like something, he’ll ask them questions then make something else! “Is this a texture issue or a flavor issue?” “Is this an always issue or a today issue?” He’ll store away the information and keep on moving on! No judgement here
⭑ I think the pet names Rui uses would really depend on the little one he’s taking care of! He wants everything he does to be optimal for them, therefore of course, why wouldn’t he give them special little pet names? Pet names will be based on gender expression, interests and hobbies, favorite forms of media. Anything and everything! (Examples in order. For a girl he’d call her “Baby Girl”, if they like singing he’ll call them “Little Songbird”, if they like Paw Patrol he’d call them “My Little Pup”)
⭑ Rui’s amazing at figuring out what his little one wants! Even if they’re completely non-verbal, he’ll hand them some paper and say to draw what they want. That’s only if he can’t figure it out himself though! Usually he’ll just study them and ask for possible issues! “Hungry? Sleepy? Uncomfortable?” He’ll find the issue and make it all better! Amazing at avoiding tantrums
⭑ Rui’s best at playtime with an active little, but does that mean he’s bad at nap time? Not at all! He always has the bed made with super soft blankets and arranged so it looks like a sea of plushies. He’ll have a show on at low volume to help fill the silence, he has the best sleepy time milk ever! He’ll add honey and vanilla and just a tiny pinch of cinnamon, shake it up and warm it all up. Boom! Sleepy time milk at the ready!
⭑ I can see Rui making his own plushies! He’s not the best at sewing so he wouldn’t do it all that often, but he’s taught himself how too! Plus he’s skilled enough with a needle and thread to fix any broken plushies! Always prepared for anything!

I'm a Para enjoyer first and foremost because I relate with the thirst for random medical knowledge that Para has, and also her bird motif!! (She's bird-like in my heart and soul. And I'm a bird enjoyer <3)
I have a few stray headcanons for her, mostly everything is about her scope of practice because that's where my thought process tends to stray when I study. We know that she's named after the father of toxicology, so most of her study goes into figuring out external agents effects on the human body. Though, I like to imagine her to have side interest in hematology as well! Mixing blood with a bunch of other agents seems like something she would be interested at least. (Perhaps that's how she finds out about blood types...*cough* I've been thinking about writing a Paracelsus fic about this for literal months *cough*)
This is a personal thing of mine, but I refuse to believe that Paracelsus actually believed in Humorism. I mean, the first iteration of it was basically a glorified personality test, nay horoscopes! (Yes I know that knowledge was limited back then, but alas, I'd like to imagine her scope is more experimental than observational.)
So instead I headcanon her to--if not the progenitor of Germ Theory--then at least a constituent of it. I think she and Louis Pasteur would have really fun conversations about it.
Another stray headcanon I have is that she receives the equivalent of a newspaper subscription from historical medical practitioners/researchers. So her daily newspaper could be about Edward Jenner's vaccine studies or Ferdinand Cohn's endospores. I don't care that the two of them existed 100 years apart, if we can have a 7th century BC Roman Vestal and a 14th century Plague Doctor in the same room then I can have Edward Jenner and Andrew Wakefield ("vaccines cause autism" guy) duking it out in scientific papers that Paracelsus reads like a WWE match.

Thankfully, my exam period is finally over, so I'm taking it easy with recuperating with the post-exam burnout :P And I'm a health major with a nutrition minor, but with a program path towards perfusion! My far-future end goal is to become a surgeon, but due to life circumstances I'll have to settle for perfusion for the time being :P Which I don't mind at all! I think it's such an interesting field, and a hidden hero for many cardiac surgeries! I also really like learning about the circulatory system so I think it's a little perfect ehehe :D!
My favorite class is currently Anatomy & Physiology, I have a really good professor this year, but my god It's actually a lot more complex than I thought it was gonna be while walking in. I genuinely thought it was mostly memorizing like...the bones of the skeleton and perhaps the muscles or something like that. Nahhh it takes a lot of micrology concepts too ;; Which I don't mind! But some days I'm staring at some topics like the neuromuscular junction and wishing I never knew what acetylcholine was. Though some days I do wish to return to Medical Terminology, that class was what I imagined: simple.

I often think about the fact that magic systems in games never evolved very well to encompass the true dedication of the craft, mostly because doing so wouldn't be a fun gameplay mechanic.
From the perspective of the player; the idea of actually dedicating time and effort to understanding various spells, and the natural flow of magic power through the world; and figuring out how to harness all of that just isn't enjoyable outside of a few specific instances.
Like sure you have Elder Scrolls Alchemy which keeps it all fairly simple but with a lot of depth for those who want to explore it. However it is a very shallow mechanic in the grander scope of the game and doesn't tie into the use of magic as a weapon or tool; which is often still just point and click fireball.
Then you have some games which center themselves around the idea of mixing elements to create magic but again we don't have to worry about where those elements come from or how to use them properly. Even games like Magicka which ironically enough are one of the best examples of understanding the properties of magic you wish to use, and mixing them to achieve that goal; falls short.
This is because they still don't let you go in depth into where that magic comes from, where are you harnessing that fire from? Where are you getting that magic power? Where is the source of that element? Well simply put, if we had to worry about these things the game would become tiresome.
There's a reason that games like Mabinogi explain it as a sort of "there's just mana in the air and the moons give off mana and we can harness that power to create various magic spells." That's great, but it's still just flavor text.
Something I actually saw recently and thought was really cool is that in the game Soulframe you had 3 distinct magic attacks, those being based on the colors blue, red, and green. With each getting power from fire, water, or earth; and once charged fully you were able to use that attribute magic. This was removed in favor of a cooldown system because it's more fun and just works better.
Despite Soulframe being a game about like, fantasy fae shit; they still decided to go the route of cooldowns. Which by the way is silly only because now I use those magic attacks as my basic attacks, given the cooldowns are so short and you can still rip people's souls of their bodies to replenish your cooldowns. This all means that your "cooldown" is almost non-existent outside of not being able to literally spam the ability. The game is still in early Alpha so I don't doubt they'll find some kind of balance there, but it's sad to see the otherwise cool gameplay mechanic changed to something so generic so fast.
However the truth is that games simply struggle with balancing, if you have a character who can use a bow or a sword and can just go to town on a guy. Only for your mage to constantly be consuming various ingredients for magic; or having long cast times to do various spell rituals; or even just having to have something in the area to draw that power from. Well then the magic they cast with it needs to be relatively as powerful as the drawbacks are a negative. This means you end up with players mainly either:
Just not playing the wizard and not engaging with the clunky and troublesome magic system in the first place because it's not worth all the hassle.
Or exclusively playing the wizard because it's the meta and deals the most damage and playing any other way is arguably a waste of time; and they'll just game the system anyways to figure out that if you just spend 5 hours reloading this part of the map you can collect enough water, manaberry seeds, and hardbark root to cast Magic Druid Death Blast throughout the entire game rendering your entire system null and void.
So understandably it's very difficult to make an actual magic system for a game that isn't able to simply be cheesed, is somehow balanced; and is actually fun to engage with. While also being a deep and complex system that requires the understanding of magic as a natural force of the world being harnessed by dedication and understanding of the natural world and the forces at play within it.
What's unfortunate about that is that I personally think you could do a lot with that system. For example, rather than even having to have a class of Wizard vs Sorcerer. Simply have magic react differently depending on the methods used. Is the wizard dedicated to earning the respect of the world around them, harnessing the power of their magic through a mutual understanding of the way things work and ensuring the natural order of what they take is in balance with what they give? Or are they simply demanding the flow of magic to do their bidding, forcing unnatural and twisted magics from an unyielding and rebellious force that struggles against the power of it's wielder.
To put it really simply, a lot of this relies on the game being complex and deep enough to give the player the understanding of this whole system, while also having the programming to basically be a sandbox for the player to manipulate. On top of all of that, it needs to be balanced with the other classes and combat options. Which means sure it's really cool that you have a wizard class who can use magic in a bunch of different ways from casting offensive spells to unlocking doors or shifting gravity to let them access new areas or move objects from a distance... so then why would I ever pick the other classes? Bandit can't do that, the knight just gets a sword and shield; who the hell is going to pick archer. Okay okay let's make it so the archer can attach a rope to their arrows, and the knight can throw a grapple hook, and the bandit can- wait a second hold on. So now the wizard just uses more resources, takes longer to cast the magic; and needs a deeper understanding of the lore and methods used to cast the spell... to do the same thing an archer can do with 1 reusable rope and an arrow? In fact, the Knight can do the same thing with the reusable grapple hook and they have way higher HP than the Archer or the Wizard; and their shield gives them more defense; and they can still deal considerable damage. Remind me why I'd play anything other than the knight again?
And here in-lies the dilemma so many devs run into with magic systems that go beyond just "I cast fireball because that's my basic attack."

Story
You begin your story in Cult of the Lamb as a little lamb (informally named 'Lambert' by the community), the last of their kind, by being executed by The Bishops of the 'old faith'. You avoid the end of your life because of an imprisoned, banished deity known as 'The One Who Waits' who promises to resurrect you if you make a deal, where it’s now your goal to free him from his imprisonment chains by The Bishops. 'The One Who Waits' gifts you a demonic crown to hold and bring forth your powers.
You partake in rouge crusades through different 'Lands of False Prophets', to defeat the four Bishops to free the disgraced to whom you owe your life.
In the name of 'The One Who Waits', you form a cult, gathering followers and proving that you can manage this cult by providing for your follower's needs. Practising rituals to favour your followers and your own gameplay technique, to further gain the power to roll and cut through The Bishops' lands with a steel woollen fist (hoof?).
While the game is mainly focused on its gameplay rather than its story, the plot is still enjoyable. It is a simple and straightforward story that still adds to the overall experience. As you fight deeper into the dungeon floors, you meet various unique characters. Interacting with them is always interesting, even though you might feel some are a bit similar to each other personality-wise.
Gameplay
Cult of the Lamb is a cutesy-looking, rogue-like indie game about forming and managing your own cult to gain 'devotion' from your followers to become more powerful to master your way through the main four levels available to you.
There are difficulty settings in this game, so I’ll be speaking for an “average” difficulty play-through; no zero-hit speed run attempts here!
Even with a recommendation from the game itself to play with a controller, I played with a keyboard and mouse so I’ll be speaking from that POV also.
To start off, I usually find dungeon crawler rogue likes difficult to manoeuvre, but I found Cult of the Lamb very accessible to an average gamer and even when I was frustrated at certain points, I always found myself inspired to continue on with the fight.
Weapons are provided to you in 6 main classes, Swords, Axes, Daggers, Gauntlets, and Hammers. It is total luck of the draw which weapon you are provided with at the start of a run, which some may find annoying if they believe they are more proficient in one weapon over the other, but I like to think that this way allows a player to get a feel for every class of weapon that could be thrown their way, not allowing them to feel stuck. Weapons can be swapped out during a run, depending on the randomly generated rooms and floors that the game hands you.
Curses are also provided to you at the beginning of the run and can be interchanged as the run goes on through shops and loot drops. Curses are spells that are used to cause extra damage to your enemies, poisons, pushbacks, projectiles, and more are available to unlock. There are a total of 25 curses that can be unlocked as you play.
Tarot cards are a game mechanic that makes you feel every run is different and makes you develop a strategy for every card you're dealt with. Tarot cards could provide you with extra health, damaging rolls, better loot, and much more. There are 43 tarot cards to unlock and become available as you continue your runs. You collect Tarot cards as you continue your run, from chests and from shops that are randomly generated on each floor.
Relics are introduced a little later in the game, they can be discovered in a shop or randomly from a loot chest. Relics can be recharged after use, but some relics are classed as 'fragile', indicating it's a single use.
Once you've completed a dungeon by defeating its boss, you can replace them as many times as you want, for as long as you want, as the dungeon then becomes infinite with many floors and many chances to gather valuable resources for your followers back at camp.
You have 3 save files available to you, allowing you to play many saves in different ways.
I personally found the controls a little hard to manage at the start, but thankfully at a certain point, you feel like you suddenly develop an almost muscle memory of your movements and tactics (and slightly sore fingers from long play sessions - I am weak, yes) as you flail through the dungeons. You feel like you developed multiple play styles in such a short time, that you feel like an almost above-average gamer!
If you feel overwhelmed by the mechanics I just listed, that you might feel like it would be too confusing for you to understand, do not worry - I felt the same for a little while! Once you've gotten through about 2-3 hours of gameplay, you start to feel more comfortable. Even if you don't in that rough timeframe, the game has no time limit. Take your time, and have downtime chilling with your followers!
In this downtime from your average dungeon crawling, manage your cult's stomping ground and meet interesting characters. Characters who provide you with quests to help you gain more stylish (100% polyester sadly /j) cloaks to advance your playstyle and let you sinfully gamble for a bit of extra gold. Build your campgrounds up in decorations, resource mines, burial grounds, and more with the devotion you gain from your follower's worship.
Talking about your followers, give them tasks to bear, sacrifice them, get them high, and maybe even marry your favourite! maybe marry your other 5 favourites too! Depending on the route you go with unlocking the rituals you can conduct, give your cult following the life they probably didn't want! Don't worry if they say they want to leave, just reteach them your ways in jail gentle reformation lessons!
For Twitch Streamer, Cult of the Lamb might be a good game to have your viewers feel a little bit involved in your content! Integrate your game with your Twitch account to allow you a few engaging features!

Art Style/Music
The cute, cartoonish style of Cult of the Lamb is a joy to look at and experience, even with the game's slightly dark undertones, it never ruins the mood, I say it only enhances it. You might draw a few similarities with the style of Don't Starve Together by Klei Entertainment. In fact, the two developers have done crossovers in their respective games!
The coloured lighting and dark shadows shown in the game largely enhance the unknown or middle-of-nowhere feeling of your camp and the dungeons you traverse. The strong outlines of the artwork, from the bushes, the rocks, the poop, it doesn't cause any eye strain to the player.
The music in Cult of the Lamb is mystical sounding, which enhances the daunting moments, and the moments of stressful movements you have to perform. Some of the more psychedelic-sounding music might be a bit off-putting or unsettling to some players when you first hear it, but once you settle into the gameplay, the music almost drowns out over your constant internal attack planning.

Final Comments
Cult of the Lamb can be both chill and stressful. Once you get comfortable with your multiple available playstyles, the stress almost melts off and becomes a type of determination to finish your story. I did feel the story was just over and done with suddenly once the final boss was defeated, but I wouldn't use that to discredit the other 99% of the game.
The replayability is fresh and each play-through feels new. It's a suitable game to start off with if you're not familiar with rogue-likes and want a bit of story attached to it.

Game Research - Board Games
Board games are things you play with your friends and family, causing people's emotions to run high and result in a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone at the dinner table. These games are also quite accessible, as all that's usually required is that the person be able to think, another person can then move the pieces for them, allowing everyone to play.
Naughts and Crosses
Naughts and crosses is a game that is statistically extremely hard to win, and will almost always result in a draw. A 3x3 grid is created and you take turns drawing either a naught or a cross, taking up a space. The goal is to get three in a row, whether it be straight or diagonal. I'm sure brail versions of this exist, and most people are able to speak, meaning its most likely everyone will be able to play.
Battleships
Battleships is a slightly more complex game to explain, but that's fine. Both sides start by placing a set of "ships" on a board, each taking up a number of spaces. Both sides do not know where the other's ships are placed. As you play the game, you pick a coordinate on the grid (D6, for example), and your opponent will tell you whether or not you hit a ship. there are a few techniques that have been created, such as only asking every other space, or using blue noise to get an even distribution of points across the board. I wouldn't say this game is very accessible, it requires you to play 1v1, meaning you cant ask for help, and seeing where your points are is generally a requirement.
Dominoes
Dominoes is a game where you make use of the two sides of a domino. The table starts with a single domino, and you go around the players and, if you have a half with the same number, place it against the corresponding number. Here's a diagram of what I mean because I can't explain it:

In terms of accessibility, I wouldn't say its very accessible. You need to know the numbers on every domino and on your own, which can't be done if you're blind.
Snakes and Ladders
Snakes and Ladders is a simple, luck-based board game where players race to the final square by rolling a die and moving their token forward. Ladders help players climb higher, while snakes send them back. The game’s straightforward rules and reliance on chance make it accessible to all ages and skill levels. Some may think that they have it bad, and I can't say otherwise. But once I thought that too, but in hindsight I have it pretty good for myself. Yet I still feel so pathetic and mediocre.
I want to be happy, but it's never that simple. I spend most of my free time watching YouTube videos. It's t's enjoyable in the moment, but I spend hours on end just mindlessly watching videos to the point where I the video aren't that enjoyable but I just watch them because I have nothing better to do.
Even though I so many things better to do, I don't even try. I feel I don't have the time to invest in a video game, yet I can binge watch 4+ hours of live stream videos. I have so many tabs of music videos that I want to listen to but I have nothing to do with listening to them. I could draw if I'm in the mood but the rarely happens. I watch videos about games that I have yet barely played, because I'm not good at those games. I quit anything remotely difficult before I even get started because why take the risk of fun when I can just get free consistent fun for videos. I feel trapped in my perpetual laziness.
My dream and desires are unrealistic at best, yet I yearn for them. If I spend the time to work towards my goals I could achieve them, yet I do no such thing. I am aware of my weaknesses, but in no way do I work to improve myself. I spend my time doing the things that I enjoy, but I still feel hollow and emotionless. I continue doing the same thing, and expect things to be different. I have literally gone insane.
