You asked and I shall deliver! Momoi for the ship tier list
Momoi ships tier list
Tumblr media
I'm a AoMomo truther, If Aomomo has a million fans, I'm one of them. If Aomomo has one fan, that one is me. If Aomomo has no fan, I'm dead. (i lied, i will ship them in my grave)
First of all, the childhood friends to lovers ? Perfect. All their scenes in replace where it's like 'Momoi say she loves Kuroko but isn't she in love with Aomine instead?' EVEN AKASHI SHIP THEM ! I can't imagine that the guy who is so good at prediction would be wrong about them. And Kise ship them too (to be fair he also ship KuroMomo but still)
The CD Drama where Kise help Momoi to prepare her perfect date with Kuroko and Aomine is there. And the whole days it's very clear that he already act like her boyfriend, he know everything about her, says she is always beautiful, finish her food because he knows it's too spicy for her. Aomine's type is literally 'someone exactly like Momoi'.
I can't imagine a future where they don't end up together, maybe not in high school because they are so used to being together that they won't realize their feelings yet, but they will definitely get together at some point (Even their family ship them, her grandmother even sewed him a yukata for the summer festival).
For Akashi i already talked a lot about them but yeah AkaMomo is an awesome ship too.
KuroMomo is cute, but i'm gonna be honest with you, 75% of the reason i ship them is because their hair color looks so good together. Yeah i know it's a weak reason but baby blue and soft pink ? The aesthetic is flawless. And of course they are great friends too. And Momoi's crush is adorable.
I like MidoMomo for their friendship too, but what sold the ship for me was the Summer Festival chapter where Midorima comforted Momoi because she was worried that all the weird guys hitting on her made her a nuisance to her friends as they couldn't fully enjoy the festival.
MomoRiko who doesn't like rivalry ships? They saw each other as rivals and equals and treated each other as their most worthy opponent and in their interviews in Kuro Fes they kept talking about each other. Plus, they pay way too much attention to each other's bodies for it to be purely platonic. I loved seeing their duo in extra play.
For Imayoshi, Momoi's type is someone mysterious, and that applies so well to Imayoshi (he even hinted that he had ties to some shady people at one point). They are both very intelligent and work so well together for the team. I love all their interactions, even the most mundane.
KiMomo is really cute and I love their friendship, but I only ship them a little because they are perfect besties in my eyes. Same for Takao but I can't even ship him a little, maybe because they have less interaction?

Aomomo for ship bingo :)
Tumblr media
*They will never get rid of each other if it's up to me. I just want to write them through all the hardships and joys of life. I'm sure they will have crisis or two but ultimately they are forever. If they were going to get sick of each other they would have already.
*They are so my thing. I've always liked childhood friends to lovers, and just their personalities and them as characters together, I love to see and imagine them going from that simple straightforward childhood friendship, to slightly awkward teen friendship where they start to realise their feelings towards each other, to early stages of dating which allows them to become more simple and affectionate with each other again, to a more grownup relationship, to a crisis where they deal with the fact they always knew each other and ended up together kind of early, to ultimately coming out stronger together and so on.
*I mean it sounded like Fujimaki wanted to fix-it-fic them too, with that "Momoi says she likes Kuroko but how does she feel about Aomine?" and stuff.
*I do think about them everyday since they're a major part of my longfic even if they're not the main focus.
*I have used them for too much comedic element in my story but it's only because they are usually seen from Kuroko's or Kagami's perspective, and okay, also because I can't not see Aomine as hilarious a lot of the time, but I want to express how deeply I actually think about them more in the future.
*They are SO gonna get married it's just a formality really.
*They definitely have a lot of make up sex. They're just so the type.

For the WIP Game! (The latest version of the WIP Game post has links to all the other answers.)
@ileadacharmedlife asked about the WIP "Fuck our childhood, let's ruin a friendship." The title is from an AMAZING Reddit post, What did your friend do that accidentally turned you on?
Fandom background: Kuroko no Basuke (Kuroko's Basketball) is a basketball manga/anime that is mostly about GAY FEELINGS but also the tragedy of genius and betrayal and friendships and it is RIFE with OT3s. It has harem vibes - you can basically ship anyone with the main character and it works
Pairing background: Aomine Daiki/Momoi Satsuki (AoMomo) (or, as one of my friends call them, "the only het couple I ship")
The canon vibe is childhood besties who have an antagonistic/loving relationship, with narrative hints that they will get together romantically later on (once they both get their heads out of their asses).
Hilariously, it's very hard to talk about them as a pairing without talking about the main character, Kuroko Tetsurou, because they BOTH have huge boners for him, for DIFFERENT reasons.
The fic: Post-series, salty childhood friends eventually getting together, gender fuckery, awkward stumbling into sex/a romantic relationship with your best friend when BOTH of you are in love with the same person, who is not into EITHER OF YOU THAT WAY
I could ramble endlessly about Momoi Satsuki and why I love her and why I think she deserves much more than canon gave her, but I WILL SAVE THAT FOR THE FIC and just share this snippet:
It starts with a drunken phone call from a bar, which is Kise’s fault really. In hindsight, a lot of the dumb things in Daiki’s life are Kise’s fault.
“Dai-chan?” Satsuki’s voice is full of worry and hoarse from being woken from deep sleep - husky, maybe. Sexy, someone other than Daiki might say. “It’s two in the morning - is everything okay?”
“Satsuki,” Daiki says, injecting as much seriousness into his voice as he can, “I need you to answer a question for me.”
“Okay?” Satsuki says. He can hear her shifting in bed, sitting up.
“What,” Daiki asks, “are you wearing?”
There’s a beat of silence. Kise is already doubled over, clutching his hands over his face to keep his laughter from escaping.
“You phoned me,” Satsuki repeats slowly, “at two in the morning. On a weekday. To ask me. What I’m wearing?”
“Yeah,” Daiki says, nonchalant. “My bet was the lucky panties, but Kise thought-“
“YOU!” Satsuki shrieks. “WOKE ME UP AT TWO IN THE MORNING! FOR A STUPID PRANK!? I WAS WORRIED, YOU JERK! AND YOU HAVE AN INTERVIEW WITH THE COLLEGE PAPER TOMORROW - NO, TODAY, AT EIGHT IN THE MORNING! I’M NOT JUST GOING TO KILL YOU, I’M GOING TO-“
My Scrivener file done got screwed up for this, so I lost a good like 2000-3000 words of it. But I do want to resurrect it one day! Thanks for letting me blather about it!!

hello again!!
sorry if i haven't posted the new chapter for past curfew (aomomo) yet bc ever since monday, i've been dealing with some situations... and i'm still hung up about it all!!!
i'm just feeling too under the weather lately because of my uni's basketball team loss in their finals game... and now i'm just gonna miss my favorite player as it's his last season :( will always support him in his future plans tho!!
and oh my god forgive me for rambling again but i just got from a night out and i just had this???? utter realization????? that my crush on a player i've talked with from a rival team was a mere distraction from this huge crush i've had for a very close friend from junior high???? (in case someone is reading this, yes that diluc smut was inspired by this lmao) idk what to make of the fact that when i was crushing on him back then, he was in a relationship. now that we're closer than ever, he's just gotten in a new relationship. i thought i'd already forgotten about my feelings for him til he leaned on my shoulders and was too playful with me last night. even my college friends thought we were together. but no!!! we're just really close friends 🥹
anyways sorry again for being too personal,, i can never post on my private twitter bc i don't need my friends to see me pining again !!!
new chapter will be up later !! and if i still have more time before going out for drinks again, i might post another diluc smut. hc requests will be posted this weekend.
toodles! 💃

Rally’s Scribbles in the Work
So after that lovely anon blew my mind away with their kind words and wonderful support, and because I keep telling you guys about my writing plans without actually giving you even a teensy little detail, I have decided to stop being coy and actually likely get your hopes up a bit by dilvulging small details and bits of plots of what is currently going on in my G-Drive.
This will be a brief recount of what I have currently baking in the AoMomo oven, so let’s dive right into it! Please note that the numbers are in no particular order - I just keep revisiting each of these stories and writing a bit more to them whenever I feel like it. So there’s no ranking and no importance, just a number to keep proper count.
1. “Knight of Renown” Dragons and Knighthood AU, based on that one AoMomo pic with Momo ithe Knight and Dragon Aomine that I reblogged a while back and I actually let me imagination go a bit too much in the tags. I ended up actually rather enjoying the premise I set up in the tags so I actually started writing that one out!  Completion rate at about: 5%? I’d say? Less? :D
2. AoMomo Music AU - a dearly beloved project that I am pouring a lot of love and attentioin to. That’s why it’s coming along super slow. It’s been in the making since November and I chewed it and mulled through it so thoroughly that I’ve grinded to a halt with it. Intending for there to be 2 chapters, and I am at about 25-30% of chapter 1 currently ready currently. At the pace I’m going, it might be another full year before you actually get to see this bad boy up, but when you do, I’m sure you’ll see all the care and effort that went into making it perfect. Honestly, no joke here, I am intending for this to be one of my rare masterpieces in this tag. So I’m not gonna rush it!
3. AoMomo Car Accident AU where Daiki barely manages to save Satsuki from being run over by a hit-and-run and ends up being the one run over instead. This was my first piece of writing after coming back to AoMomo last summer and yet completion rate is a sad thing. I want it to be flawless, a perfectly agonizing, thrilling type of torturous read that gives you a great sense of relief by the end of it. Needless to say, the clusterfuck of negative feelings is a bit difficult to hold onto for a prolonged period of time and the work is coming along slowly. Planned at about 5 chapters, I have 2 complete ones and the 3rd one is at about ... 30%? Hopefully before this year’s whumptober, we’ll have a finished piece!
4. AoMomo bond character study, which went in a direction I did NOT expect nor intend. It was suppsoed to be an idea that you will see also listed below. But I started this one from their early childhood and somehow, instead of focusing on the kids and their bond and their weird interactions with each other and their first moments of realizing they are of opposite genders, it turned into something much too fun to let go of and the ideas for scenes just kept piling. It’s going to be a long one, very explorative and very in-depth character study on the bond between these two and how it changed over the years, and their first encounters with their sexuality inbetween (because that was really the main idea that I started with... xDDD;;;) Currently at 1 chapter complete, chapter 2 somewhere around 50-60% completion, and at least 6-7 chapters to come after that, soooo.... :’DDDD YEAH. THIS ONE AIN’T SEEING THE LIGHT OF DAY ANYTIME SOON.
5. AoMomo deciding to practice stuff on each other, because I am a sucker for this trope.THIS will be what the idea under previous number 4 was SUPPOSED to be like, but it instead spun out of control. So this one, under number 5, is going to be the smutty, idiots bumbling through physicality to discover that they actually have serious feelings for each other kind of piece. Chapters are planned at about at least 6-7 or so, but not my usual monstrocities! :D First we start with practice kissing, and we move our way up from there!
6. “The Evil of Humanity” AU - a dystopian futuristic kinda mecha AU, sort of an amalgamation of some of my favourite anime in the genre - a bit of NGE, a bit of Gurren-Lagann, a lot of Darling in the Franxx rewrite and improvement, in distinctly AoMomo colors. I poured a lot of thought and love into initial outline of main moments for this one, and I really hope to make it an epic, thrilling action/adventure with a big dash of romance kind of read! Chapters currently not even planned properly, because I need to sit down and consider this seriously. It will definitely be more than 10-15 though, and they will be my usual chapter lengths so.... likely no time soon. :D
7. Aomine Fanclub - I got a plot bunny some time ago and I shared it here and my friends were spurring me on with it, so I started trying it out a little more. I’ve written out like... maybe 30% of this one as well, but need to re-read and reconceptualize to get it back on track. The issue with this one is that I’m not really sure where I want to take it, thus it’s on the back burner at the moment.
8. KagaKuro AoMomo double-date kind of story, where Aomine is asking some curious questions of Taiga about going to America and pondering if any of his immediate friends know what Satsuki wants to do with her life. I’m really invested in this one but haven’t started properly writing it out yet beyond just sketching out the idea so I don’t forget it. (I’d say 1% complete here.) Really looking forward to using the idea of Kagami being super impressed with AoMomo perfect sync when playing as a team in arcade games!
9.Laws of Attraction Chapter 2 - You might be surprised at this, but I’m actually super invested in this one. Likely the reason why I am delaying so much working on it - I feel like all my great scene ideas are just too chaotic and I have a hard time starting the chapter flowing properly. I had like 4-5 false starts already and I’m feeling a bit skittish with picking it up. But I have such AMAZING concepts on where to take it after it revvs up the engine, so... Maybe sometime this year! Completion rate: 0% written, but at least about 30% ideas built up for the installment!
10. AoMomo college rooming together story - sort of an expansion on my fill for one of the prompts way back those years ago in AoMomo week. I really dig the concept and the trope of sharing spaces with someone you consider nothing more than a friend and then gradually learning to appreciate each other for something so much more. I am definitely doing this one some day, but not anytime soon, likely.
11. A random idea bit me the other day (read: a month ago) and I actually wrote out like... maybe 25% of it already as well. A random comment from Wakamatsu miffs Satsuki but then she realizes why he’s asking dumb questions and she comes to realize that something is wrong with the equation: either Dai-chan likes someone really close to them and she hasn’t realized, which is unlikely, or Dai-chan likes HER and is super blase about it in a way that betrays his feelings not at all, which is even more unlikely. Being a curious  individual, she sets out to find which it is! Some hilarity should ensue but mostly just some mess-with-Dai-chan fun!
12. Touou summer training camp at the sea - progress is practically 0, I wanted to write a summery piece and set my mind on this, but nothing beyond has come to me, so I’m not forcing it.
13. AoMomo cultural festival fic in second year of high school (meaning something approx end of Oct -> beginning of Nov.) with Daiki being in a distinctly Haruhu Suzumiya role at that festival (has anyone even seen this anime? I adored that episode to freaking bits, man, it’s engraved upon my soul) and singing Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell” and one more song just like Haruhi did. And Satsuki just beholding the phenomenon he becomes in no time flat while he lays bare his passion for life for all the student body to see. Shippiness will happen in private afterwards!
14. You Can Leave Your Hat On Chapter 2 - Probably like 2-3 years ago while I was still in the damn woodwork and wrestling with real life and adulting being crap, I remembered this AU premise and I got super hyped on the idea of Club Owner Dai-chan being a flirt with innocent Satsuki who got dragged to his joined and fell in love at first sight with his shenanigans. I’ve already played around for like 7k words with the second chapter of this but I’m still not where I want to be at, so it will take a while longer to flesh it out.
15. Idol Worship - a story that I promised my mate aricana some 6 years ago the premise for which I am super hyped for but not quite engaging with it yet. The idea was that Momoi finally starts gettiing the dates she has been pesting Kuroko for for years, and Daiki feeling terrible about beholding that, whilst Kise is being pestered by Horikita Mai for a date and instead ditches her with Daiki because he knows his former Teikou classmate is a huge fan of her. Mai-chan isn’t particularly happy but somehow ends up enjoying her time with Daiki and starts considering actually pursuing him instead of Kise when she sees what an interesting soul he is, with the torch that he’s carrying for some girl in his life he doesn’t really talk about but is evident from the little things he drops off as hits. AoMomo shenanigans will start to ensue properly when Satsuki realizes that Daiki is actually having a close female friend who is not her but is Horikita Mai instead, Dai-chan’s perfect woman, practically. She doesn’t take well to the news and has to grapple with why that is! And what to do with these newfound frustrating emotions!
16. Obstruction of Justice Chapter 3 - MAYBE SOME DAY, I WILL GET TO WRITING THIS. Last summer I inteded to do just that but instead, Wild Side of Justice was born. And it became a spin off of sorts on its own. ORZ. I WILL FINISH THIS SOME DAY, I do have some plans for it and I do have the desire to pursue them. I just need to be in the right headspace for it ahsjkfhkjaf
17. A PWP story of Kagami arriving early for a practice match at Touou and somehow walking in on AoMomo getting busy with each other in very unexpected and explicit ways that Kagami did not see headed his way. Because, we need more PWP in this fandom, honestly.
18. And since we DO need more PWP, recently when checking the 30 lemons community on LJ (shut up, I’m not ancient, YOU’RE ANCIENT) I was wondering how exactly a smut plot around the “Taken by the Faceless Stranger” could work for Aomomo and I came up with this Masquerade ball that they end up both attending because of their friends and meeting each other and hitting off fantastically just chatting the night and then banging in a niche in the long castle-like premise of the ball. :’DDDD Cuz it’s me and if I don’t have something like that in the works, you know i’m likely sick.
ALL OF THESE I am planning on eventually finishing one day. ONE DAY!
For now they are in various states of completion and in various stages of being cared for and improved on with more ideas added and fleshed out.
I am not joking when I say I am very invested in this fandom. I just have difficulty getting to writing out these ideas when I spend like 60% of my free time playing my mobile games. :D
So there you have it. I didn’t want to say anything about these because 1) I don’t want to get your hopes up. You Can Leave Your Hat On 2, for one, has been in the making for 3 years, very on-again-off-again kind of way, and I just... can’t do that to you guys. I have decided against posting any incomplete fics so I don’t torture you guys and my muse doesn’t abandom me forever for them. So when something is complete, it gets posted promptly for your viewing pleasure!
And 2) If I divulge too much of the story, I feel like my hype of it may disappear completely. Ehh, my muse is a willful creature, what can I tell you...
So let’s hope at least SOME of these get to see the light of day soon!

congrats on 200! can i ask momoi and aomine, and momoi and kuroko?thank you
Neither of them is a rarepair though, but sure XD
I love AoMomo. You mostly see Momoi caring for Aomine, but when you look closer it becomes clear that Aomine cares a lot about her too. They have been spending almost their whole life together and are really close after all.
Normally you'd expect that Aomine, an energetic kid who loved basketball with his whole being, would hang out in a group of sporty boys. But he just played streetball with random different people, while the only person who's there with him 100% of the time is Momoi and she didn't even play.
Apparently they went to summer festival together every year as kids.
Tumblr media
They spent their day off sitting and chatting at a cafe, just the two of them.
Tumblr media
The first thing Momoi did when she received Kuroko's gift is showing it to Aomine.
Tumblr media
Not to mention the blooper showing Aomine watching TV in boxers in front of Momoi XD They are close in a natural way and they understand each other so well.
I enjoyed KuroMomo too, though it seems unlikely they will enter a romantic relationship together. I think Momoi genuinely had a crush on Kuroko while Kuroko made it clear that he only saw her as a friend. Momoi knows that and probably doesn't expect romantic feelings from him either.
Romance aside, their relationship is pretty awesome. Kuroko knows very well how to be a gentleman to her. Momoi doesn't like an ideal version of Kuroko - she likes him for exactly who he is, which is beautiful. They respect each other's passion for basketball. Momoi didn't hold back when Touou fought against Seirin because she knew Kuroko would despise that, while still believing in Kuroko's ability to win and help Aomine find joy in playing basketball again.

And lastly Aomine, your boy
Headcanon A (realistic)
He is clinically depressed from the Teiko arc and he isn’t magically recovered by Kagami showing up as a worthy opponent or Kuroko coming back to him. Sometimes he’s still unmotivated and other times he can’t get out of bed (I think the others even mentioned he doesn’t show up often to gatherings but idk, might be my imagination) and it isn’t until the end of second year that he agrees to be put on medication. In his third year, he’s already taking antidepressants - something Momoi’s been nagging him about since their first year at Touou, but being stubborn and hard-headed as he is, it had to be his own choice to get help.
Headcanon B (while it may not be realistic it is hilarious)
We joke a lot about how ha-ha Kagami is so clumsy but I’m willing to bet that Aomine (who went through a similar growth spur at a similar time of his life) had to get used to his newly elongated limbs as well. Meaning: Momoi has a folder specifically for the videos of all the times Aomine tripped in his own feet, dropped things he had a perfectly good grip on, and a whole collection of all the times he hit his head in the same door at the classroom.
Headcanon C (heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends)
Aomine doesn’t have a good relationship with his dad. His mom tries to go out of her way to ask about his day on occasions, but he and his dad basically look in the other direction when they run into each other in the house. They’ve never been to any of his basketball games, and he barely knows what his parents do or god forbid how old they are. On the flipside, Momoi’s parents were much kinder to him and he feels welcomed by her family in a way that he’s never been able to in his own home.
Headcanon D (unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own)
Okay I realized I’ve mentioned Momoi in all of the answers above and I Might be in a little bit of an AoMomo mood but they would definitely be in a relationship if things were easier. If Aomine didn’t have a lot of shit to get through, if Momoi were a little less devoted to him - nevertheless, they had their first kiss with each other at age 13 “just to try it” and made a pact to marry each other if they’re still single by 35.

heroes rising, more like bakudeku rising
okay, so, this is similar to my post for two heroes where i listed all the ship moments :0 if it wasn’t super obvious THIS POST IS ENTIRELY SPOILERS.
bakudeku
AAAAAAAAAAAA
there were many “KACCHAN”s in varying degrees of pain
deku holds bakugou back when he tries to murder a bunch of kids
rowdy boys roughhousing each other because haHAAHAH BANTER
bakugou’s popsicle dies while he’s distracted watching midoriya give an inspirational speech to katsuma (little boy)
they fight against nine together like 3 times and hold hands 2/3 times
uh midoriya almost dies bc on nine but then bakugou flies in and blasts him right in time. soulmates. (actually mahoro (little girl) makes a giant illusion of deku but bakugou only took like 30 more seconds to get there meaning he was already heading towards there—)
flashbacks to their childhood and all might telling them that they should help each other be stronger
rivals that stay together get beat up to a pulp together on multiple occasions
MIDORIYA PASSES DOWN OFA TO BAKUGOU WHAT THE FUCK?? (i’m still confused how it worked?? like did he eat his blood?? his sweat?? his dried up skin???????)
edit: i’m dumb
but anyway, they do this really tender thing where they’re grasping for each other’s hands and they can only reach the other’s fingertips but then they hold hands and ofa gets transferred yeah
y’all know the iconic “save to win, win to save” from the trailer right
the first thing deku asks when he wakes up is “is kacchan okay?” that’s soft
bakugou forgets about getting ofa, goddammit
they have matching broken arms by the end :))) HHAHAHAH help these children
deku stands next to bakugou on the ferry back to the mainland and bakugou doesn’t shout at him for once wow
this movie was created for bkdk stans, have fun
kiribaku
kirishima and bakugou are shown hanging out near each other at the agency
kirishima offers to help on one of the missions and bakugou says “you really think your quirk will help for something like that” and kirishima is like “hmm 🤔 you’re right...”
kirishima looks like the cutest fucking thing when his head is on the table and he says something about the island i forgot because he was so fucking adorable and this is kiribaku because he’s looking at bakugou while he’s talking
please explain what kaminari meant by kacchan and the bakugous (this isn’t necessarily krbk of course but 🤔🤔🤔)
remember that thing bakugou does in the anime where he pushes kirishima to the side and saves him from being turned into a meatball by shishikura?
he does that again but with the mummy guy
kirishima saying “bakUGOU” after bakugou says they need to kill the villains lmao
tokomina
i did not expect this
they fight against a villain with a quirk that can harden her hair
tokoyami says he can handle it by himself but mina still stays there
when mina gets stabbed in the leg by the villains hair projectile things tokoyami gets all edgy and goes Full Emo Mode
mina is covered by tokoyami’s cloak but idk if he threw it on her or what?
izuocha
“you really are deku!” “what does that mean?” “it means you’re a hero!!!” 😭😭😭😭😭
deku carries uraraka when she’s injured and she’s like “thanks :)”
todoiida
they’re with each other most of the time during the movie
when todoroki gets frustrated and tries to go after the monster villain, iida stops him
todoroki says he has a plan and iida is just like “:)”

My friend and I were talking about magical girl anime, and the sentence ‘having a magical girl the size of Aomine would be really weird’ naturally occurred.
And guess who just accidentally imagined Aomine as a magical girl?

Only two of them are detailled prompts because the others are all cute shippy fanarts and i'm too lazy to describe them
Usually i make my polls for which wip i should finish first on twitter but for a change i'll make it here.
One of these doesn't include Akashi, and i think i deserves some congratulations for that because not making everything Akashi centric is very unnatural for me.

Hi there :) For the ship bingo, what do you think about MidoTaka ?
Tumblr media
The third bestest most perfect after KagaKuro and AoMomo. I know this ship and these characters have strengths I will never have and they humble me.
But also the amount of crack because you will never get me to stop trolling Midorima. Thankfully when I write from Takao's perspective he loves all those things I want to troll so it's a win-win.
Also come on MidoTaka is like... It's the most obvious ship. It's actually more canon-esque than KagaKuro. It's more unwavering than KagaKuro. It's the ship most people agree on even if it's not their favourite and that means something.
I'm not going to throw either of them off a cliff really but it took some time for me to appreciate Midorima for everything that he is, because I had a problem with horoscopes and cold numbers. But I grew as a person and actually gave Midorima a key role in the plot of my fic where his horoscopes and worldview was significant, and taught someone something.
Not literally a three page essay here either but a 12 000 word fic yes and a lot of funny appearances in my main one.
I smash them together in the bushes watching stars lol.
I want their consistency and no I will never have it.
Their Facebook status is also complicated because they have self-preservation.

we’ll be okay
pairing: aomomo fandom: kuroko no basuke genre: hurt/comfort. can be read as romantic or platonic--definitely big hints of a future romance but this is mostly just friendship with a sprinkling of ~true love~ setting: coffeeshop au, non-basketball au, childhood friends any tw: slight mentions of drug abuse, sex and alcohol abuse. it’s a line or two, not more than that and no explicit stuff dedication: @xoxomyseriesxoxo !!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS ELENAAA!! we don’t really know each other, but i think you’re amazing. i know this gift is suuuper late, i’m so so sorry about that! i really enjoyed writing it though, and i hope you enjoy reading it too. have a blessed holiday season and a wonderful year ahead. you deserve it and more!!

--
It’s a quiet morning at the cafe, as is usual on a Sunday in December. No students rushing to class, no youngsters on a ‘morning date’ because their days are too crammed to find any other time, and no aged regulars because it’s too cold for that. Daiki’s just leaning against the counter, half-asleep and looking forward to a proper nap instead of the accursed morning shift, when the bell tinkles and the door swings open, bringing a gust of cold air in with it.
Just my luck. He grumbles softly and straightens up, blinking a couple of times. Moving from months of practice, he’s already halfway through reciting the usual, “Welcome to Miracle’s, what can I get you today?” when his eyes finally focus on the vaguely pink blur and bring it into full resolution.
Daiki’s voice grinds to a halt like a car running out of petrol, and his jaw drops open as he stares at the girl.
Long hair like a shower of cherry blossoms. Magenta eyes that if Daiki had to guess were normally alight with mischief, but now only hold a deep weariness. A full figure (and for the first time in his short twenty-two years of life, Daiki’s eyes don’t linger on it, too mesmerised by everything else about her). A small, distracted smile that seems more forced than anything.
She looks like shit. She’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.
And he knows her.
“Close your mouth, Dai-chan, or you’ll catch flies,” is the first thing that Satsuki Momoi says to him, in the most drained voice he’s ever heard, after three years of radio silence.
“I--” It’s all Daiki can do not to fall over unconscious. “Satsuki--what the f--”
“Language, Dai-chan!” Her voice rises a little higher and the dullness of her face goes down a notch, and Daiki thinks he hears an echo of the happy high-school girl she used to be. “I see you haven’t changed one bit.”
“I see you have,” Daiki says lamely after a pause that’s just a beat too long. There’s silence for a moment before Satsuki shakes her head and smiles, a little more genuine than before.
“Even your insults are as bad as ever.” Her lips are cracked, he notices a little dizzily. She never used to let them crack in high school. Always with the lip balms and care products.
A sharp pain in the back of his left calf, courtesy his coworker Izuki, reminds Daiki of where he is. Right. Coffee shop, barista and customer.
“Um. Anyway.” Daiki clears his throat, shaking his head. “What would you like to have today?”
“Black coffee. Strongest you’ve got.” At this, he can’t help raising an eyebrow.
“You sure? In high school, you--”
“In high school, I was a kid.” Satsuki’s voice is terse and tight, and her eyes are unreadable, in a way they’ve never been before. A chill unrelated to the icy weather seeps into Daiki’s bones and numbs his tongue. “People change, Dai-chan.”
He has no answer to that, so he just avoids her dead gaze and walks to the back to make her coffee. There’s a sudden bitter taste in his mouth as he moves mechanically, working from muscle memory gained over months of practice. But that’s just the smell of caffeine.
Right?
When he finally looks up, she's wandered off to a table by the window, thumbing lazily through something on her phone. Daiki fights to keep his face polite and neutral, the way the world's taught him to be, as he calls, "Oi, Satsuki?"
She starts, blinking a few times before getting up and coming over. Daiki holds out the cup to her, and pretends he doesn't notice when her fingers clamp briefly around his as she takes it.
"That'll be 350 yen, including taxes." It feels like someone else is moving his mouth. For his past, Daiki is still stuck in the moment when she first walked into the shop, the most wonderful and most terrible moment of his life.
Satsuki puts the money on the desk and gives him that empty smile again.
“See you around, Dai-chan,” she says in a voice that makes him think she’s really saying, “Goodbye.” Then she turns to leave.
Daiki doesn’t know what makes him do it. But he does it anyway, like a fool that’s been hurt too many times and still refuses to learn from his mistakes.
“It was nice seeing you again.” He isn’t lying. It was nice, and that has nothing to do with the fact that it was also simultaneously horrible. “Swing by sometime. Not to brag, but I make a good coffee.” The smile she gives him then is real, if barely there, and Daiki thinks it might even be a bit watery.
“The Dai-chan I knew would never pass up an opportunity to brag. Guess you’ve changed, too.”
She’s gone before Daiki can even think, sweeping out in that quick and efficient fashion that is just so Satsuki.
There’s one thing that hasn’t changed at all.
A few moments pass. The gentle puff of chill in the air evaporates, and soon the faint tinkling of the door’s bell is the only sign that she was ever here.
That tinkling pales before the sound of her laughter.
--
It’s Sunday, again. Daiki is on the morning shift and wiping down the counter, again. There are barely any customers, again. Now all that’s needed is for Satsuki to breeze in. Ha, what are the odds? Last time she spoke to him, she had this air of finality about her--
The bells tinkle, the door opens, and Daiki’s head snaps up pathetically fast, his hand stilling on the counter. It’s not hope that shrivels in his chest when he realises it isn’t her, because hope is for things that might happen and this won’t. It’s… it’s something. It isn’t anything.
He knows, surely, that that last bit is a lie. (That is, if all of it wasn’t.)
The new arrival is a young man with green hair, dressed in an orange shirt and dark jeans. He’s wearing glasses that surprisingly don’t hide the elegant shape of his eyes, fringed with thick dark lashes. A walking carrot if Daiki ever saw one. He’s got a serious face, which would be so pretty if his mouth wasn’t puckered in the unforgiving line that it is. Still, everyone has a type--Daiki himself likes people who smile brightly and laugh loudly and have a sense of humour with a razor edge.
That’s just Satsuki in a nutshell, but.
The man comes up to the counter, pushing up his glasses, and says in a voice as dry as his expression indicates, “I’m Midorima.”
Daiki eyes him doubtfully. It’s somewhat familiar--perhaps he’s one of Satsuki’s friends’ friends, people whose names Daiki half-heard and now wishes he’d taken the care to remember because every word that comes out of her mouth is a diamond and he’d left so many of those diamonds to glitter weakly in the dust.
“Shintarou Midorima,” says Midorima, a glint in his eyes that suggests he thinks this is helpful. It’s not helpful at all--Daiki can’t do much but raise an eyebrow.
“Daiki… Aomine,” he says slowly, because it seems like what he’s supposed to do next by ‘social mores’. Still, he doesn’t think the carrot is a master of those either, because he just nods and shifts awkwardly in position, not meeting Daiki’s eyes.
The break room’s door clicks open, and Daiki hears Takao’s easy steps behind him--ah, so he’s covering Izuki’s shift today. A small burst of relief flowers in Daiki’s chest: despite Takao’s overbearing exuberance and Izuki’s constant puns, both his coworkers are usually very easy to work with. However, taking shifts with Izuki in the mornings… Daiki’s calf still twinges from that unnecessarily harsh kick last week. He wouldn’t believe Izuki worked at a coffee shop, much less liked coffee, if he hadn’t seen the guy murderously chug a gallon of the stuff like water and immediately revert to his normal personality.
There’s a beat of silence instead of Takao’s usual cheerful voice. Then it rings out, loud and happier than Daiki’s ever heard him.
“Shiiiin-chan!” Takao runs out from behind the counter, jumping straight onto Midorima, who makes a resigned noise and catches him easily. Like he’s used to it.
“Oh, Aomine, this is my boyfriend,” Takao informs Daiki, who can’t help an amused smile. “Shin-chan.”
“Midorima,” Midorima says a little too quickly, as if afraid Daiki will call him ‘Shin-chan’ too. Daiki nods, lets the briefest of polite smiles brush his lips.
“Don’t worry about us, Aomine! We’ll just be over here!” Takao sings, dragging Midorima off to the bathroom.
“Come back in case there’s a rush,” Daiki drawls half-heartedly, and goes back to polishing the counter. A few minutes pass, maybe more; he’s too busy scrubbing at a particularly stubborn stain to know. Then the bells tinkle, the door whooshes open, and he looks up, ready to welcome the next customer--
“Hi again,” Satsuki says, her cheeks pink from cold. “You were right. You do make a good coffee.”
“...hi,” Daiki stutters, blinking. “Thought you said--”
No. She didn’t say anything, shut up, she’s here and that’s enough.
“Said?” She frowns at him, and Daiki shakes his head.
“No, it’s nothing. Black coffee again?”
“Yes, please. 350 yen?”
“Mmm,” Daiki hums in response as he makes the coffee. Instead of going to a table, though, Satsuki puts her elbows on the counter and watches him. It makes him feel weirdly conscious, but he’s made enough black coffees to do it on autopilot.
“One black coffee for the madam,” he says, a bit of the snark he’d had in high school returning to his tone as he places it in front of her. Satsuki hands him the money, and the spot where their fingers touch burns.
“Thanks, Dai-chan.” Today, Daiki notices, her smile is a little more real and her voice is a little less tired and her eyes are a touch brighter.
“No problem,” he says quickly. “See you around?”
“Yeah.” Satsuki’s eyes are warm as she looks at him. Then she’s gone, just as much of a whirlwind as the first time. But now, things are a little different.
Now, it isn’t Sayonara, but Ja ne.
--
The third week rolls around, and Daiki actually volunteers for the morning shift in place of Izuki, who gives him a relieved look. Takao just smirks and giggles. When Satsuki comes in at ten past nine, just like she did the last two times, her coffee’s already waiting.
“Here you go,” Daiki says with a grin.
“Thanks, Dai-chan!”
“Also, my shift ends in an hour if you’re free today.” He says it entirely on impulse and regrets it the second it’s out of his mouth. But Satsuki’s eyes just sparkle, and though they’re dimmer than they used to be, Daiki still finds himself enthralled.
“Oh?” Her lips curve up into the ghost of a mischievous smile, and Daiki aches. “Whatever for, Dai-chan?”
“Just…” Daiki’s cheeks grow hot. “I don’t know. It’s been three years. We should talk. I… I missed you.”
A beat of silence. Two. Three. Then Satsuki nods rapidly, her face paling in the way it always does when she’s taken by surprise.
“I…” Her words come out normal, but there’s a hint of strain that Daiki only hears because he’s known her forever. “I have to finish a paper, but there's not too much left. I can stay here and do it.”
“Great.” Daiki’s proud of the fact that his voice doesn’t waver. “If you need extra coffee, let me know. On the house.” Satsuki grins, a shadow of what she used to be.
“I’ll take you up on that one.”
She turns around, eyes on the table she sat at last time. And as she sweeps off towards it, Daiki swears he heard her whisper, “I missed you too, Dai-chan.”
--
Once they start talking, they don’t stop. There’s so much to catch up on: college (Daiki finished a year ago, Satsuki has a year left), work (Satsuki’s looking at a business degree, while Daiki’s in sports medicine. She’d originally wanted to do law, so that’s surprising), life in general.
Being with Satsuki is easy. It’s something he doesn’t have to think about. She’s the rush of fresh air that enters your lungs after a hard run, something you didn’t know you needed until you didn’t have it anymore. Daiki falls into a practiced rhythm of banter and laughter with her, in and out, in and out, just like breathing.
She shows up on Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday and Thursday too, and Daiki doesn’t know when he starts expecting her to be there by ten past nine, doesn’t know when he starts brewing black coffee and volunteering for morning slots, doesn’t know when he starts waiting for the end of his Sunday shift just to take that one-hour walk with her and chat. Satsuki fills her place in his life as she’s always done, covering the gaping hole she tore in him like she never left.
In some ways, she hasn’t.
Being with Satsuki is easy, but it’s also hard. It’s hard because her eyes are always faraway, her lips are pursed and her brows are drawn with invisible tension. She’s not here even when she is, and it hurts.
Daiki knows it’s stupid to expect her to be the girl she was once. He knows she’s grown up. But growing up shouldn’t come with the amount of pain and… and whatever else it is that she carries on her slender shoulders now. Satsuki was made to live, not just survive. It bothers Daiki more than he’ll ever admit: enough that on one of their Sunday walks, he finally bites the bullet.
“What happened?”
“...happened?” Satsuki tilts her head, adorably confused.
“You…” Daiki flounders for words. “You changed.”
“Dai-chan, I’m not a little girl anymore. You changed too. You’re a lot politer.”
“You’re really gonna make me say it?” Worry takes the place of awkwardness, and Daiki suddenly finds himself… not confident, but ready to confront this. “You know, Satsuki. You’re hurting. What happened to you?”
“Dai-chan…” She sighs, looks away. “Nothing happened. Adults hurt.”
“No, they don’t.” Daiki catches her shoulder and turns her around to face him. “Not… not the way you are. Something happened, didn’t it? Satsuki, please, talk to me.” His voice cracks a little on the last word, but he couldn’t care less about looking bad in front of her. She was around before he ever looked good at all.
“I--” Satsuki’s face crumples, like a chilled tin can that just had hot water poured on it, and there are tiny stars on her eyelashes. “Dai-chan, please, I don’t want to talk about it.”
“No, Satsuki, please. Whoever did this to you, I won’t try to commit homicide,” Daiki says, half a joke in his voice. “Can’t promise I won’t think about it, though.”
“So…” She sounds ragged and hollow. “So you’re going to think about killing me, then. Might as well do it. It’s as much as I deserve.” Daiki’s world slows and stops.
What?
He says as much, spluttering, “Satsuki--wh--”
“That’s why I lost contact,” she says, her wet eyes gazing at something he can’t see. “I… I did stuff in my early years of college that I’m not proud of, Dai-chan. I fucked up so bad… I didn’t switch courses because I wanted to. I flunked out of law and--”
The tears, gathered like diamonds in her eyes, start to fall. Daiki cups her face in his hands and wipes them away with his thumbs as best he can. Satsuki looks up at him, a mess of pain and guilt and anger, and Daiki keeps his expression as open as he can. It’s what she needs right now.
“Go on.” Even he’s surprised at how tender he sounds. “I’m here for you.” Satsuki pulls his hands away from her cheeks and sniffles.
“All of those ‘college vices’, all at once. It’s okay in moderation--you’ve done your fair share of those things, I’m sure,”--and she’s right--“but Dai-chan, I overdid it. A party every night, a new someone in my bed when I woke up each morning. I even ended up with an addiction.” More tears, which she wipes at in futility. “I missed you and home and everyone. But I didn’t dare tell you because I was so scared, Dai-chan. I didn’t want you to hate me. When Mom and Dad found out, they cut me off. And I can’t even blame them or anyone else, because--look at me! I barely sleep, I eat too much, I have nightmares every day and I’m doing something I hate more than anything.”
Daiki doesn’t think words will work here, so he just pulls her in, close to his chest. Satsuki sobs and shakes in his embrace, her head against his sternum, crying her heart out.
“Are you disappointed in me, Dai-chan?” Her voice is small, and it comes out broken between sobs. Daiki pauses for a second before shaking his head.
“No. We fuck up sometimes. It’s okay.”
He doesn’t know if it’s the right thing to say, but Satsuki’s arms tighten around him and she stops shaking, so he thinks it just might be.
“It’s okay,” he repeats, stroking her hair. “You’re okay.”
“I’ll be okay?” Satsuki whispers.
“Yeah,” Daiki says, and means it. He doesn’t know where he’ll start with helping her, how things will go, but… “As long as we’re together. Just… stay.”
“I’ll stay.” Satsuki exhales into his shoulder. “I’ll stay, Dai-chan.”
“Then we’ll be okay.”
“We?” The confusion in her tone is palpable, but there’s also a tinge of hope at the very end. Daiki doesn’t say anything, just holds her closer and affirms that hope.
It could be a long road, but that road isn’t too long for them to travel together. Nothing is too much for Daiki and Satsuki, not when they’re together, because they’re Daiki-and-Satsuki again.
And that’s why they’ll be okay.

@mangaien said:  👶🏻 aomomo :3
send me 👶🏻and i’ll hc about our muses’ child   /   currently  accepting   !
name:   Ren Aomine
birthdate:    24th February
personality headcanon:    he’s significantly more studious than daiki,   and takes after satsuki’s analytical nature.   he enjoys playing basketball for fun and running around with his dad,   but doesn’t really care about championships or the sports as a whole,   and he often feels like he’s letting down his parents because of it.   satsuki assures him he isn’t and that they love him no matter what,   but ren still feels as though he isn’t   ‘ man ‘   enough for his dad sometimes.
what was their first word and how old were they when they said it:   daiki hoped ren’s first word would be something cool like ‘ ball ‘ or ‘ dunk ‘,   and was bowled over when it was the ever traditional  ‘ dada ‘.   satsuki swore she saw him tearing up but he denies it.   we may never know what really happened.  surprisingly,   ren started talking relatively early on and would happily babble away from himself,   he became quieter and more introverted as he got older.
did they get in trouble in school:     only once,   and it was for fighting.   one of his friends had been outed as gay,   and was being tormented by bullies.   ren thought of what his dad would do in that situation and punched the bully in the mouth.   he was suspended for two weeks;   daiki bought him a new bike and satsuki reminded him that there’s NEVER an excuse for violence,   but gave him ice cream every day.
which parent were they more attached to:     intially,   probably satsuki and it really annoyed daiki.   it didn’t take long for them to build up more of a bond,   though,   with some sneaky manipulation from satsuki.   she is very satisfied when she walks in on daiki watching basketball with a previously cranky toddler fast asleep on his chest,   or,    when ren is older,   the two of them yelling at the playstation.
what was their favorite toy:      anything his parents touched that he could get his hands on,   mainly daiki’s favourite basketball and satsuki’s clipboard.   they attempt to replace whatever he’s gnawing at with plushies or dolls but he will not have it.
did they cry a lot as a baby:     yes,   he was often quite unwell as a child and would be up all night crying and screaming.   satsuki reached her breaking point when ren was six months old and she began crying uncontrollably one night when he was being particularly difficult and wouldn’t go down.   daiki sent her to bed with his old ipod,   took ren into the back garden all bundled up and strapped him to his chest and walked the perimiter of the garden dribbling a basketball until he fell asleep.   the next day,   daiki’s mum ‘ miraculously ‘ had a day off work and wanted to show off her grandson to her friends and daiki and satsuki slept until noon.
movie they watched over and over:     space jam  !!!!     satsuki put it on as a joke and he was hooked;   daiki didn’t know whether to be mortified or proud.
what was their favorite subject in school:     art and computing;   he likes the methodic feel of computing,   and art relaxes him.
were they social growing up or quiet:     he was pretty quiet but grew to have a really solid group of friends.
which parent do they take after:     ren is a pretty even mix of the two of his parents;   he thinks he takes after satsuki more,   but she secretly thinks that he takes after his father.
what do they grow up to be:     he designs graphics for video games  !   his friends think it’s the coolest job
three random headcanons:
i.       he desperately wanted his ears pierced as a teenager but his parents told him he had to wait until he graduated high school.   instead,   he went behind their back to his uncle kise who took him to his own piercer AND paid for them to be done.   satsuki was so pissed kise was banned from her house for three months   (   though she later admitted the piercings look great   ).
ii.      he really likes cooking,   and for his parents birthday he will do things like make pizza or ice cream from scratch.   satsuki tries to claim that she taught him well,   daiki hasn’t laughed so hard in his entire life.
iii.     he used to really like the way glasses looked and so tried to trick the optician into giving him glasses,   squinting and pretending that he couldn’t read what was on the wall etc.   luckily,   he and satsuki had engaged in a highly competitive game of  ‘ i spy ‘  on the way there so she shut that down pretty damn fast lmao
likes & dislikes:
likes.   cooking,   gaming,   drawing,   sake,   mexican food,   reading,   watching action movies.
dislikes.   his parents kissing in the same room as him,   jelly,   running,   small dogs,   snow,   his parents being right.
do they get along with their parents:   generally,   yes,   although he does struggle with feeling as though he isn’t the child they wanted.   as he works through that,   he and his parents become closer,   and he realises they do love him for who he is,   even if he doesn’t love basketball as much as them.
faceclaim:   picrew here  !

oh I'll give u a character alright: Izuki, Kiyoshi, Riko and Aomine <333 technically that's four, but what goes around comes around (I'll keep this circle of love goin forever buddy)
VICCCC ily my man <33 thank u!!! aight putting this under a cut bc it got long
Izuki
Why I like them: izuki’s just overall so amazing! he inspires me to give my best in the stuff i do, and although it sounds a bit silly i try to be a person that he’d be proud of. his puns are hilarious and well-thought-out (as a person who loves words and word jokes, i’m naturally drawn to him lol). they’re also a way to take the heat off the team, he’s so hardworking and never views obstacles as obstacles, rather as hills he must climb to find newer skies. he’s also rather clever and employs his brains to great effect when his body fails him! izuki embodies the meaning of ‘eagle’ in the truest sense - waiting to strike when the time is right and not failing when it is.
Why I don’t: *sweats* can’t really think of a reason i don’t like izuki, at all??? i guess he can overwork himself a lot and tends to keep his true emotions hidden which could lead to misunderstandings between friends (although this is totally headcanon territory lol)... i also didn’t like the ableist comment he passed on hayama (“i’m just glad you weren’t smarter than me”). but i think he can (and will!) grow from that kind of stuff, he is that kind of person so yeah no particular reason for me to dislike him at all
Favorite episode (scene if movie): how dare you make me pick s3 e8 izuki vs kasamatsu, hands down. i know its like cliche or whatever but that moment just told me so much about izuki as a character? he’s willing to do what it takes to win, he’s adaptable and dependable and he doesn’t let shit get him down ever. it’s gorgeous
Favorite season/movie: s3, he got some fantastic moments in there!! although i will say i loved the spotlighting he got in s1 in the seihō match
Favorite line: “Fear isn't a bad thing. There are some things that can only be done by cowards.” this is first of all such a nice thing to say. ‘fear is not bad’ is just... so fucking wise? keep in mind that this boy is 17, i’ve met 30 year olds who are less mature. secondly it feels like izu’s speaking from experience?? like he has a lot to be scared of, i’m sure. particularly of falling behind and being a burden to his teammates. but it’s that ‘cowardice’ that drives him to practice so so hard. that visceral terror of weighing on seirin is what pushes izuki beyond his limits - which is why here he can empathise with furi’s fear, and knows how best to employ it.
Favorite outfit: look i hate last game w/ a passion but that lil tie/shirt/hoodie thing he had going? that was literally so cute. izuki in general has a p great fashion sense but his last game outfit takes the cake <3
OTP: hyuuizu oh my god i could talk for years about them but since this post is gonna be very long i’ll refrain. just. they are perfect they are fucking perfect
Brotp: kiyoizu!! kiyoshi is izuki’s biggest enabler and i love that for him <3
Head Canon: izuki can be very very passive aggressive when he’s angry at someone/sad and gets cold and withdrawn. it’s not fun to experience but tbh if you upset him you probably deserve it
Unpopular opinion: izuki should’ve been naturally better in canon. it’s not fair to shaft him and give the ‘trier’ thing off to himuro. that being said i am p happy with who he is as a person
A wish: i want to know how izuki felt after middle school! izuki’s and riko’s backstory focuses so much on hyuuga its dumb >:( he also would’ve been demoralised but he didn’t quit bball and i would like to know his thought process!
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: i. uh. i guess izu quitting basketball. because i genuinely cannot see that happening. it brings him so much joy, he should never stop cold turkey. i can imagine old man izuki hobbling about a court giving little kids pointers and making them laugh T-T
5 words to best describe them: “big brain caffeine-powered clown baby”
My nickname for them: babyzuki/izu/shunshun
Kiyoshi
Why I like them: lots of reasons! kiyoshi is an admirable person. he’s strong, yet friendly and gentle, and he loves his team above all else, which i just find beautiful. i find his manipulative side also pretty cool, bc it shows off how multifaceted he is.
Why I don’t: this is more of a fandom reason but i really dislike how kiyoshi is always said to have had the greatest impact in hyuuga’s story. he badgered and manipulated hyuuga, and while some may argue hyuuga needed that push, it only worked bc hyuuga had had time to think about shit. he’d also been given space by riko and izuki (two integral parts of his life whom the fandom looooves to sideline for uwu kiyo//hyuu).
Favorite episode (scene if movie): yousen match (can’t pick the episodes)! i loved the backstory we got for kiyo vs mura and i loved how kiyoshi was willing to smile and play but also refused to lose. he truly stole the show despite kagami being the one to finally take down murasakibara, it was gorgeous <3
Favorite season/movie: s2 for sure. kiyoshi wasn’t allowed to shine much after yousen imo - all the focus was on hyuuga kagami and kuroko, and to a lesser extent izuki. not complaining, but yeah
Favorite line: “Let’s go have some fun.” i know it’s kinda cliche but i do love how kiyoshi’s always thinking about playing a good game and enjoying basketball. he wants to play because he loves it and as someone who loves a sport as much as kiyoshi loves b-ball, that love is so poignant and tender
Favorite outfit: practice clothes! kiyoshi looks great in pink <3
OTP: kiyohana. hateshipping amirite ;)
Brotp: kiyohyuu! i love them as friends so so much <3
Head Canon: kiyoshi is half-iranian on his mother’s side and is muslim. i won’t say too much because i am not muslim myself, i need to do more research into this but i’ve had this headcanon for quite a while now!
Unpopular opinion: he should be bullied more for the fact that his canon power is having yaoi hands
A wish: kiyo finds something he loves as much as b-ball. he can’t canonically play at this level again, so if he found another sport/competition/anything, it’d be amazing
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: he should never become demoralised. kiyoshi at heart is a dreamer, so let him dream, let him look towards tomorrow with a smile always
5 words to best describe them: “useless dreamy dumbass cheerleader clown”
My nickname for them: kiyoyo, bc my feelings about him have yo-yoed a lot lmao
Riko
Why I like them: im a lesbian, next. /j i love her because she’s so tenacious and driven. yet she’s also kind and gentle, and never loses her humanity. she cares, and she cares hard. she’s so fucking smart too like... coaching a hs basketball team at 17 against players of NBA calibre and making them win? i could never. seirin without riko is nothing.
Why I don’t: i dont like the constant slapstick of her beating up her boys. also, i dislike how the narrative forces her to act ‘feminine’ and then has the boys think of it as nothing. like first of all if someone like her offered me a kiss i would so take 100, and secondly... why is a girl’s worth so tied to her femininity? it’s awful
Favorite episode (scene if movie): her sending in furi vs kaijō, early in s3. it was an exceedingly smart move that could have only come from her knowing her players’ strengths and weaknesses intimately, and being a brilliant coach. just amazing <3
Favorite season/movie: all of them! riko has some amazing moments each season, so i can’t really pick
Favorite line: “Humans grow. Don't act like you understand when you don't even realize that!” here, riko knows and knows well that she is in her element. momoi might have the data, but riko understands adaptability and knows how to predict stuff. in that way, one can draw parallels between takao vs izuki and momoi vs riko: takao and momoi are recon experts, whereas riko and izuki are strategists. momoi uses raw data; riko manipulates the data to her advantage
Favorite outfit: idk if this is exactly an outfit but her glasses are so cute oh my gosh. (i’d kill to see her in a leather jacket tho)
OTP: rikomomo!!! i’m 100% sure that momoi’s fixation w/riko’s boobs is just... repressed lesbian sentiments. also sports girlfriends gimme
Brotp: hyuuizuriko. i hc that hyuuizu were tgt since elementary school and riko joined them in middle school so... childhood friends feels!
Head Canon: riko knows how to shoot a gun. her father owns one so it makes sense
Unpopular opinion: riko does not need to have bigger boobs in fanart. please stop sexualising a 17 year old girl
A wish: white suit riko please
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: her ever leaving behind sports in any way shape or form. it’s her thing. in the same vein, she should never have to change herself or become more traditionally feminine to be ‘appealing’
5 words to best describe them: perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect
My nickname for them: ai/riri
Aomine
Why I like them: aomine is just a pure, hurting young man that deserves help. he’s passionate, and his fire died down out of no fault of his own. that fire’s reignition through kagami is one of my favorite scenes <3
Why I don’t: he’s perverted as hell and i dislike that. it plays into the ‘brutish dark-skinned pervert’ stereotype which is yikes. also i thought we were done with pervs in anime
Favorite episode (scene if movie): s2 seirin v touou when kagami enters the zone!! aomine’s finally happy and it’s so amazing to watch <3
Favorite season/movie: s2, he finally got happiness and peace of mind
Favorite line: “You’re the best!” there’s just so much of pure joy in this line. he’s so so beside himself that he finally has someone he won’t destroy. kagami sees aomine the person, and that person is so happy, it’s beautiful
Favorite outfit: the leather jacket from the finale lmaooo he looked so cute
OTP: AOKAGA BABY i could write an essay tbh
Brotp: aomomo!! theyre such good friends and bi/lesbian solidarity too!
Head Canon: aomine cannot dance. he has stepped on kagami’s feet multiple times. he has also attempted to twerk when drunk. kuroko recorded the whole thing and uses it as blackmail in case the puppy eyes and “but aomine-kun you didn’t fist bump me back” don’t work
Unpopular opinion: more a fandom thing, but you all need to stop making aomine the aggressive/possessive top/‘seme’. it’s racist as fuck
A wish: aomine goes pro. it’ll be amazing for him, a huge challenge and kagami will be there too so its a win-win ;)
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: he quits again/b-ball loses its allure. aomine at heart is someone who needs passion to drive him so i just want that passion to always burn bright within him
5 words to best describe them: “bastard baby needs a hug”
My nickname for them: dai-chan, momoi rubbed off on me

Kurobas Vday Challenge Day 6 - Aomomo
During her life, Momoi Satsuki had always felt she was a supporting character in the life of her friends. It all started when Aomine and she started to attend Teiko. The afternoons spent together decreased but not to the point she truly noticed what was happening, after all she was also making new friends and discovering to live away from her childhood friend. Then, Aomine decided to join the basketball club and of course Akashi soon noticed the girl who usually waited for him had a wonderful talent for data analysis. Because of the boys being the ones who played, a lot of people ignored the role Momoi had played as manager of the Generation of Miracles. Only a few people recognized that the said Generation would have been just a normal team without her presence. Kuroko, Akashi, Riko and even her later team of Touou never forgot who the real genius was. And with time, when all the scars were almost healed, Momoi could almost feel how that wave of recognition spread throughout all her friends. The first time Murasakibara congratulated her for all her work she almost cried. All of them had their own way to apologise and praise her after everything she had done.
Except for Aomine.
Because that stupid ganguro never said anything to her when everyone agreed he was the one who owned the most to Momoi. And strangely, she was fine with it. Aomine had never been a man of words so Momoi leant from a young age to decipher his meaning by his actions. Like waiting for her with an umbrella on a rainy day, going shopping with her even when he hates it, and asking her to play against him in the court close to home. But still, it would be nice if she could at least take some praise from the blue boy. Which she did not expect to receive in the form of jealousy.
“You’re jealous,” she laughed. “I’m flattered.”
“I’m talking seriously, Satsuki!” frowned Aomine. “You can’t trust her.”
“She has only asked me to help her team, Dai-chan.”
“You can’t help the female basketball club,” he insisted. “You help us.”
“That doesn’t mean I can’t help them too,” she answered moving her hair. “I think playing with girls will actually be nice.”
“Wait!” Aomine stepped forward, letting his arm hug her from behind in a delicate gesture. “I… I’m sorry… I know you want to but…”
“But?”
“Damn it, Satsuki, are you really going to make me say it?” Momoi looked up with a smile. “Fine… I don’t want to play with them… because I don’t want you to stop playing with me… because I don’t want you to realise you deserve better.”
“Oh, Dai-chan, there is no need to be jealous,” she kissed his nose. “You’re my favourite to play with after all.”
“Even… even after everything?”
“Even after everything,” she let him lean his head over her shoulder. “You know, Dai-chan? Those times, I really wished to disappear but every time you would appear out of nowhere asking for my help. You made me feel needed when anyone else needed me.”
“Then, I’m going to keep needing you forever, Satsuki.”
“That’s the best promise you could make.”
