Cadence Update - CH 8

It didn’t take long to finish clean-up on the tracks, so Vergil was grateful that Roxy was reinvigorated by the end of it. The chances of them encountering more demons on that particular night were slim to none. Even outside of Fortuna, few would dare attack until they were beyond desperate and had sufficient help to try again.

The two went to the train station next, hoping to pick up Roxy’s supplies. Unfortunately, that idea had gone out the window as soon as they saw the crowd waiting around. Vergil promised he’d come back another day on his own, which had earned him a very happy smile and a genuine thank you.

He’d felt odd after that exchange, but decided to think about it later.

Now, at her request, the two had gone back to Devil May Cry, but only after Vergil casually confirmed with Nico that Dante was still with the others.

And that’s how Vergil had come to stare at a Kuraokami at a fraction of his previous size a few rooftops away from home. And, for whatever reason, Aki was sitting on the arch-demon's head with a look that could only be described as “smug”. Of course, Vergil wouldn’t have known that if he hadn’t had his own equally condescending bird familiar less than a year prior, but that wasn’t important.

“And this is how you know I’ve got enough energy,” Roxy said as she patted the dragon’s neck. “Ready to fly home, Kuro?” The dragon’s eyes flickered to her, followed by a quiet huff as he looked back to the sky. “I knew you’d be,” She said as she turned to Vergil. “I should be good for a few days, so don’t worry.”

He quickly buried his first instinct - Why would I worry? - realizing that it would have come out far more sarcastic than genuine. Instead, he stepped a bit closer to the dragon, questions rolling through his mind almost too fast to grab. And when Kuro’s gaze met his, Vergil realized he didn’t know where to even start.

But is that really a bad thing?

He didn’t have the answer to that either.

“I know who you are, Son of Sparda.”

Vergil’s eyes snapped up to the dragon’s. Kuro’s gaze was fully on him now, unflinching with a hint of curiosity. Or amusement; that was much more likely given the way the archdemon had only barely tilted his head to look at him. Then he realized Roxy was smiling too as if this sudden information didn’t surprise her in the slightest. “You knew?” He said.

“Of course,” She said. “I knew you were part demon thanks to Aki, but Kuro says he recognized your scent.” She paused, her hand on Kuro’s neck. Then, she turned toward Vergil again. “But that doesn’t change anything,” She said. “I just want you to know that.”

Vergil stared at her. “Change… what?”

Her cheeks flushed a bright red as she looked away. “I wasn’t…” She coughed somewhat awkwardly. “That wasn’t why I… wanted to be friends.”

“Then why…?”

Kuro’s laugh boomed in all directions, reverberating in Vergil’s very bones. He flinched, but Roxy merely glared at the dragon, clearly hearing more in the noise than he did. “Your father was just as clueless in his youth as you.”

Vergil wasn’t certain whether he should be offended or curious. “You knew him, then?”

“Does that surprise you?”

“It shouldn’t.”

“Indeed.” The dragon slid onto his belly and dropped his wings to the ground. “Come, Creator. You need your rest.”

“Creator?” Vergil said.

“It’s a nickname he gave me a few years ago,” Roxy said as she hopped onto the dragon’s back. As he stood up, ice formed around her legs and up over her hips, locking her in place. If it bothered her, she didn’t show it. “Apparently, that’s the name they gave to the “artists” of his time or something.” She shrugged. “I told him it sounds a bit pretentious, but he insists on using it.” Kuro huffed again, and Roxy laughed. “Yes, yes I hear you, oh wise one.” Kuro rose, wings stretching so fast that Vergil had to blink out of the way to avoid getting smacked off the roof. “Thank you again, Vergil,” Roxy said. “Maybe next time we can avoid the unfriendly demons.”

Vergil was silent for a long moment, eyes on her. She looked confident, but he saw a twinge of worry in her eyes; a slight twitch that betrayed her. “Give me some time,” Vergil said. “The jobs will be plentiful for the next few days.”

The tension in her shoulders dissipated, and she nodded. “I’ll take care of whatever shows up around my home, so don’t worry about that.” Kuro growled and Roxy rolled her eyes. “Impatient as always.” She shook her head before her smile returned. “Have a good night.”

Vergil paused, uncertain exactly how one should respond to that. No one had ever said it to him before. Nero didn’t speak with him. He never saw Nico this late or enough for it to matter. Even Dante, who Vergil saw nearly every night, had never once told him to “have a good night”. And he must have looked at least somewhat perplexed, because Roxy continued with, “Message if you need anything, okay?” Then Kuro growled in annoyance before he leaped off the rooftop. He angled upward within a few seconds, flying far out of the range of normal, human vision. But Vergil watched them leave for as long as he could, his phone suddenly very heavy in his pocket.

I should’ve said something.

He resisted the urge to sigh.

You are waaaay overthinkin’ it, Shakespeare.

Griffon would probably cackle more than Vergil’s mental representation of the bird did. But the point was loud and clear. Dante and Nico would have said the same thing. But it was too late now. She was long gone. Even if he did know where she lived, he certainly wasn’t going to go after her now. His social skills were poor, yes, but not that bad. He’d just have to make it up to her next time.

Next time.

Vergil’s lips twitched in an almost-smile as he shook his head and hopped off the roof, determined to enjoy some quiet time before Dante found his way back to the shop.

Unfortunately, the next few days didn’t go as well as Vergil had hoped.

The jobs hadn’t been particularly plentiful, and he’d had every intention to give most of them to Dante anyway. He had intended on reading for a few days. But instead, he found himself stuck in bed after the months of little to no sleep finally (and aggressively) caught up to him. Between the nightmares and occasional lucid, irritated arguments with Dante who apparently kept checking on him, Vergil didn’t remember much. Nothing but darkness and demons. Cold metal seering into his skin. Never-ending pain racking across his skin. A voice forever looming...

You can’t escape me, Nelo.

Vergil jerked awake after that, and vowed to keep himself awake for as long as possible. Not because it was the smart thing to do - even he knew that - but because he didn’t know how else to stop them. He focused back on jobs. Avoided the probing questions of his brother, and moved on; life as normal.

So, when he received his first, non-Dante related text message, he was surprised to find it didn’t bother him nearly as much as he thought it should.

The sound caught him off guard, both because he hadn’t heard that particular tone before (Dante had set a “special” one for himself that Vergil hadn’t bothered to change) and he hadn’t realized his phone was on at all. A miscalculation on his part, as very few demons took kindly to loud, screechy noises. At least he could handle their sudden agitation without any issues.

And, more importantly, Dante wasn’t around to laugh at the split second of confusion that Vergil was certain crossed his face.

A few minutes later, after confirming there wouldn’t be any more scum left to deal with (common rabble was all he dealt with nowadays. Which was probably a good thing), Vergil glanced at his phone. His eyes widened when he saw her name, followed by a short message.

I’m sorry to bother you, but it seems I’m in a bit of a pickle.

For a long moment, Vergil did nothing but stare at the phone. He didn’t want to admit that it had taken him an extra few seconds to realize that was a figure of speech, and that Roxy was (most likely) not trapped in some giant pickle somewhere (as amusing as that would be). He also didn’t know how to respond. This was the first message she’d ever sent him, and Vergil had to admit he was quite impressed that she had waited this long to do so. He had asked for time, yes, but very few people in his life actually gave it to him.

The phone chirped again, and Vergil’s eyes narrowed. Dante must have gotten to it, as Vergil would never use such an obnoxious, bird noise for a ringtone. He made a mental note to figure out how to change it later when another message appeared.

It’s okay if you’re busy.

Vergil frowned. That had to be a lie, right? Why would she have messaged him if she wasn’t expecting something? Why text now after a week respecting his wishes if she wasn’t in peril? Was it a trick? Was there something he was missing? Did he ignore it and wait for something else? Message back? Call her?

His mental Griffon snorted. Cool it.

For once, the familiar-turned-annoying conscience was right. What good would it do to overthink it? If she had something important to tell him, then she would have to say it. Vergil was not about to fall prey to some strange, convoluted conversation that was meant to confuse him more than...

It was the third message that stopped him in his tracks.

But I don’t know who else to call.

Finally, Vergil unlocked the phone and found her name with a few quick swipes. It rang twice before she answered, and the following “Hello?” sounded almost as surprised as he felt.

“What do you want?”

In hindsight, that was probably the worst way to start that conversation, and a loud snort from someone that clearly wasn’t holding the phone all but confirmed it. “Is this the half-demon hunk you keep talking about?”

He swore he heard Roxy choke on her breath. “Dia!” She said. “That’s not… I mean he’s my friend but not…”

“Bah,” The older woman said. “With how much you’ve talked about…”

“Can we not do this right now?”

“Actually this is quite entertaining, dear. I’m excited to meet him.”

“Oh for the love of…” Roxy sighed. “I need… help.”

It took Vergil a moment to realize that she’d started speaking to him. “With?”

“She’s overworked herself,” the woman’s voice echoed over the phone. “When I clearly told her…”

“Do you want me to talk to him or not?” Roxy said. A moment of silence followed before she spoke again. “You can take it as a job request if it’ll make it easier to explain to your brother.”

“Considerate,” Vergil said, his voice far more sarcastic than he’d actually intended. It actually was quite thoughtful of her to think of such a thing. “What kind of job are you hiring for?”

“I need some demonic essence,” She said. “Quickly, if at all possible.”

He heard another snort in the distance. “You really should explain the severity of the situation.”

“I’m sure he’ll figure it out.”

“She’s paralyzed, good-looking.”

Vergil’s mind went blank, uncertain what this unfamiliar woman was getting at. Roxy groaned before he could say anything. “Dia will you just…”

“And needs a large amount of essence to recover. I believe there are a few Behemoths a few blocks away that Roxy wasn’t able to take care of in her current state. That should be more than enough. And don’t worry if you absorb it, I’ll take care of the rest.” She paused, humming in thought. “It might actually be better that way.”

“Is the amount I paid you last time adequate for a job of this caliber?” Roxy asked.

“It’s more than enough,” Vergil said. “Where should I meet you once its done?”

“It’ll have to be my house,” She said. “I’ll shoot you the address if that’s alright.”

“Give me half an hour.”

“Thank you, Vergil,” Roxy said. “Sorry again.”

“No need to apologize,” He said with an unintentional smirk. “You are a paying client, after all.”

Roxy laughed, but was quickly cut off with a hiss of pain. “I’ll throw in a generous tip if you can swing by Fortuna and grab those boxes they’ve refused to send to me.” Vergil heard a groan from the second woman (priorities, girl), but Roxy ignored her. “And I really appreciate it.”

Vergil paused, contemplating where exactly he wanted this conversation to go. A part of him considered thanking her for the time she’d given him. Another piece wanted to chastise her for not calling sooner when she’d pushed herself so far that she was paralyzed again. But the largest portion of his rational brain considered the unknown demon-woman in the background who he wasn’t too keen on hearing any of his private thoughts (explaining them to one new person was challenging enough). Instead, he simply said “Send me everything you need, and I’ll be there as soon as I can.” Then, he hung up and opened a portal before he could second guess himself.

A job was a job, after all. And that was something Vergil could complete to perfection.

We made it through another year (hurrah?)

It was a rough one, right?

Warning: this will be TMI. Not in a “gross, see a doctor for that” way, but in a, “Hey, this is somewhat in-depth about your life and experiences, and is a bit rambly and depressing and whiny, so maybe not everyone will enjoy it” way.

Also, there are some pictures.

I can’t even remember the last time I’ve made a personal post (and personal posts are a more recent thing for me anyway, since I didn’t tend to talk about my personal life much until it went to shit), but I know it was sometime in 2016.

(I think it was shortly after my mom had her stroke, and we had to temporarily admit her into a nursing home for therapy. She was in behavioral facilities, hospitals, a nursing home, etc last year, in and out, pretty much over and over again. She’s been home now for a little less than three months, and part of me is amazed we’ve made it this long. I love my mother more than anything, but taking care of her isn’t easy, and I know I won’t always be able to do it. I certainly wouldn’t alone, because there’s so much involved with day to day activities like cooking, cleaning, laundry, making appointments, keeping track of medicine and bills, etc, and keeping all of that going as well as watching her 24/7 would be impossible without dad to keep an eye on her too. Dad has his own problems (which I’m trying to help him with), but between the two of us we’re managing…for now. However, mom does require supervision basically all the time, so things can be tiresome, and I’m not sure how long we can continue to manage it.) As bonkers as last year was in general (for the entire world), it felt completely balls to the wall insane to me. 2016 was without a doubt the worst year of my life. I had never been so stressed, so lost, and my life had never been so unstable. (Mom’s nurse phrased it as, “Last year was a wash. You were just trying to keep your head above water.” It seemed fitting.) Frankly, the whole year happened in a bit of a blur (given how painful it was, you would think the opposite); maybe this is because I had so little ‘fun time’ that I couldn’t honestly catch my breath. I spent a lot of it crying and losing my shit in-between being busy because I didn’t feel prepared for anything that was happening, but now that 2017 is here I’m more terrified than ever (what with the shit-stain the US now has as president, and with my mothers poor health; I’m afraid that something catastrophic will happen to Medicare, which would ruin us because my parents medical bills are waaaay too numerous; it’s already bad enough that the ACA might be repealed, hurting millions of people, and that Medicare might be a pipe dream for the younger generation, but my parents would be absolutely screwed without Medicare so you can see why this concerns me. Don’t even get me started on the environment, the suppression of the scientific community, the open corruption and lies that the president and his lackeys keep sprouting, and the attacks on the media and the public. I’m honestly afraid to live in America right now). (But since this is a personal post, and ya’ll can clearly see from my reblogs how I feel about the nightmarish political climate in America…)

Mom was lucky as far as her stroke went, in that she can speak fairly clearly when she tries, but she rarely does. She’s had about nine visits from home health (and therapy) a week, trying to get her back into shape, and while some of it helped, she refused to participate in speech therapy, so that was a waste of time. Ironically, speech was probably the thing she needed the most help with, but sometimes there’s no getting through to her. It isn’t easy asking her to repeat herself (which I do often, and occasionally give up on; I’m not going to ask her to repeat herself twenty times. There’s a limit to what I can do), and her mental state is a bit better atm, but it’s clear she’s not getting better. For a large portion of last year I doubted she even had Alzheimer’s (“Her memory is too good”, I thought; “Schizophrenia and depression would make just as much sense, and her diagnosis was so sudden”), but now I feel like I was just in denial about her condition. Her memory isn’t as bad as it could be (we haven’t reached the point she doesn’t know who I am, and hopefully won’t…), she has a good handle on long term memories, and sometimes short term isn’t so bad, but she’s an entirely different person than she was a couple years ago (paranoid, repetitive, anxious, sometimes mean… If she isn’t screaming something upsetting, downright bizarre or possibly insulting, or interrupting me every three minutes from whatever I’m doing it’s a good day). Our roles have switched, too; I feel like her mother sometimes, and I no longer get any parental reassurance because she isn’t really capable of it. There are things to be grateful for, but ngl, it’s hard to be grateful when you’re so emotionally exhausted. (Kind of physically exhausted too tbh, what with mom and everything going on right now in the US, I’m not sleeping as much or as well as I should be.) Now we’re back in the house (after the flood, which…is something I’m never forgetting), and I’m trying to get into a normal routine again, but it’s hard. (Mom has a break from therapy starting this week, but when therapy was coming we would have someone over at 8 AM at least three times a week, and three visits a day sometimes too, so while I appreciated she was getting help, it was difficult to plan for anything else. It’s 25-40 minutes away to grocery shop or see a doctor, and we have to make those trips on a very regular basis, so we kind of need time for them.) I used to be able to get up at 4 or 5 AM to workout, shower, dress and eat, but rarely do I feel like it these days. I am miraculously still working out (it’s been about four years now that I started my weight loss regime, and I’ve lost about 134 pounds), but usually it’s a bit later in the day. I even lost an extra 10 pounds last year without meaning to (a combination of stress, barely working out while displaced, eating less to compensate for it, and being constantly on the go), but I’ve been up and down the last couple of months. Truthfully, I don’t mind the way I look being a pound or two heavier (though I am annoyed that every time I gain weight it goes straight to my belly), and I don’t actually want to lose more than the few pounds I’ve gained by stress-eating (I already have difficulty finding clothing in my size), but I care far more about the numbers than I should. Acknowledging it is good, right? I’m much more energetic (despite everything), healthy and have more confidence now that I’ve lost weight, but it didn’t come without a price (though one I find acceptable), which is that sometimes I get a bit ridiculous with the self criticism and obsession with staying at a particular number. Moving on…

As mentioned, we are finally back in the house (we were out…around seven, maybe eight months?), so that’s a blessing, and if there’s one good thing to come of last year it’s that the house turned out lovely. We went through a hell of a time getting the insurance to pay for the flood damage, but regardless of what other issues we have (and they are numerous), it’s a pleasure to be back.

It’s odd sometimes (having lived in the house as it was so long), but it does feel like home, and it reflects my taste now (as mom can’t/won’t make such decisions now, and dad was completely lost so he left most of it up to me), so that’s pretty cool. It is a lot more upkeep than being in the trailer, but it’s worth it. I debated on if I should upload a few pictures of the house or not (because I’m paranoid af of someone IRL finding my online accounts), but figure I’m probably fine. There are a few pieces of furniture yet to arrive, and we don’t have everything we would like yet, but we’re making progress. We (mostly) have what we need, and we’re filling our wardrobes out again (I’ve done a lot of browsing in the last couple of months…for both myself and my parents) and trying to replace whatever else we had too. It’s taking time, but having new stuff is nice.

(Wanted to rave about the Corvo mask; how cool is it? Coming out of the bathroom one night, I jumped the fuck out of my skin because I forgot it was there; still, it was worth the near heart-attack.)

I have a PS4 now, btw! Granted, I’ve had very little time to actually play it, and all the games need massive day one updates to play half decently (some of which might take two months just to download because of my dumb data cap), but…hey, better than not having it at all. I bought The Uncharted collection (unfortunately I lost all my PS3 games) and The Last of Us Remastered, as well as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Uncharted 4, and Dishonored 2. Probably going to be a bit before I get to Uncharted 4 (which I’m very hyped for, as Uncharted is one of my favorite series) or Tomb Raider, but the fact that I own them now gives me something to look forward to. I finally (after months) finished replaying Dishonored again about a week and a half ago (with the DLC this time, which was excellent), and I just arrived at the beginning of the second level in Dishonored 2 (as Emily). It’s a damn beautiful game, even though I’m not as comfortable with the gameplay as I was with the original yet. Most the time I’m fine, but with large groups of enemies… Not so much. I do absolutely love the ability to choke out guards and catch them before they fall to the ground though; it looks so seamless and is a lot easier than having to wait that extra few seconds for a guard to fall to the ground. (And being able to non-lethally choke out an enemy after being spotted and engaging in combat is a time saver.) Hope the rest of the game is just as good as the first, though I know it’s unlikely. Either way, I feel like I’ll enjoy the experience. (I will however say that The Outsiders voice actor change threw me off. It isn’t bad, but… It’s just distractedly different. On another note, I hate that I’m so attracted to this version of The Outsider. The graphics and his slightly updated design really work for me. Emily too, though I remember seeing the first trailer and flipping out over her perfection so she isn’t surprising. Emily is a hottie with a great VA, and it’s incredibly satisfying and fun to see the world through her eyes; I hope there’s lots of Corvo and Emily moments later in the game.)

Anyway, that was long, and this is where I leave off. It’s been a…time (what descriptor would even be appropriate for the year 2016, or the start of 2017?), and though I’m not as up-to-date with everyone as I would like to be, I wish ya’ll the best. Sorry for being so out of touch, it’s just tricky finding time for tumblr and such (I miss fandomsecrets like crazy); I’ve been choosing to spend what time I have on Dishonored, Pentatonix and news, and although I’m missing things elsewhere, I haven’t found a better way to manage my time yet.

Hopefully this year will surprise us and will be better than last, though considering everything that’s happened so far (Trump hasn’t even been president a week and everything is already going to shit) I’m not holding my breath.

Even though its January 14th and new years was 14 days ago i just feel the need to talk about some stuff thats happened. Im not the kind of person to talk about things that happened. I’d rather keep it in and figure it out myself cause i guess I'm just used to it and also its so hard for me to voice out my emotions at some times. I just can never put it into words. 2017 was honestly the hardest year of my life and i know there are people out there who have it way worse but it was pretty shitty. So many things happened. I fell in love with an abusive, angry, self indulged coke head who made me hate myself and made me feel like everything i did in life was stupid. I stopped believing in myself, slacked hella in school, skipped school to basically be his fucking maid. all i did was clean, cook, sleep, drink and repeat this entire cycle. and if he was having a rough day well that just meant that id get yelled at for the tiniest things even if it means us arguing over who could get a can of pop. I guess thats when i stopped caring about everything, my mental health and physical health, my relationship with my family and friends (the 2 friends that i had lol) and my education. I was so lost and confused that I had pretty much given up on everything. I stopped trying to be positive or doing everything with a smile like i usually do. Long story short I had a little slip on june 9th. that was the day when i decided to end everything. fortunately enough i got stopped and long story short i got slapped with a record for trying to call out for help. Instead of saying its okay for wanting everything to stop in life for once, the first thing the psychiatrist told me at 12pm (after being taken in at 4am and being kept there) was that i was slapped with a criminal record. After he said that i guess i just shut down as usual. why the fuck would you consider someone a criminal for trying to kill themselves. Till this day i can't put the pieces together or come up with an idea of why they would do so. yes i had empty blow bags in my wallet and maybe its because i was drinking that night but still it made no sense in my head. It made me feel unimportant and unworthy despite everything that i had just went through. I didn’t talk to anyone for 3 days and funny story even tho i was told to stay away from alcohol my ex and his fam still got drunk and drank around me the entire night. the same night i got out of the hospital. I spent the first night alone because well everyone was partying and I didn't have any good friends to talk to. I lost kalli because i was dating a jerk and i lost kayla well basically because she had a busy life. long story short my parents found out i was lying about doing summer school and i went back to live with them beginning july. i really broke their hearts and my dad didn't talk to me or even look at me for 2 weeks. My dad is a sweetheart and in my 20 years on this planet he has raised his voice at me once and he apologized 30 minutes after. I really hurt them and I guess i waS still to dumb to see how i was still hurting them. i was still with josh the entire summer and i would come home hammered and coked out at 3 in the morning way past my curfew and fight with my parents. it got so bad once to the point where my dad and i got almost got into a physical fight. I was trying to leave the house and he grabbed all my stuff and chucked it. It was a horrible night. that was also the night i came clean to my mom about everything except coke because i don't think i could ever come clean about it. long story short i decided education was what i wanted to do for the rest of my life esp after having a great time during the summer being a summer camp leader. So i went back to kelowna to start year 2 well kinda. I was on probation cause i fucked year 1 up hard. i was still with that jerk but my good friends that i lived with made me realize what he was doing to me. he had me shoved up against car doors and walls while being right up in my face yelling at me. or getting made and pushing me because i accidentally lost cocaine. well i finally got the courage to break up with him for good. It was probably the hardest thing i have ever done. I never thought i could break up with him or get out of that abusive relationship. and sometimes it still hits me that I'm done with his bullshit for good and I'm okay. Im safe and I'm never going back there and he can never ever hurt me again. I guess I'm just scared and so fucking angry at myself for not seeing everything and the larger picture. I called myself a feminist for the longest time and would be like “how can girls stay in abusive relationships?” and now i know how. Being manipulated and controlled is a real thing. You are completely blinded by everything. your sense of power and identity get ripped away from you and your abuser becomes the only thing you have and find comfort in. Its weird and some people might not understand it. But i sure do and i finally realized all the things he had done to me. mentally and emotionally. anyways this is where 2017 got better for me. I started talking to my old friend edwin again. Josh made me ghost him when we got together. we talked everyday. it was like nothing had changed and within 2 days of talking to him i basically told him everything that happened in a year and 7 months. it was a lot tbh and i never actually noticed haha. but he stuck thru everything including my wild drunk nights out. I turned into something else and hoed around. I guess it was my way of dealing with stuff and found comfort in seeing guys? Because i didn't know who i was and my confidence was so used to being dependent on a guy for security and empowerment that i couldn't do it alone. I couldn't empower myself and thats mainly the reason to why i slept around. anyways edwin and i talked 25/7 day and night and we got so close without even realizing it. we gave each other relationship advice as he was seeing a couple girls and so was I. when i came back for reading break he kissed me and thats when i realized he had feelings for me all this while. I was so blinded by all these fuck boys to see he was right under my nose the entire time. and when he was flirting with me he actually was flirting with me and not joking about it. well i made a mistake after but long story short i liked him in an instant. i liked him more than like. i loved him but i knew it was too soon. i was scared to get serious so fast considering its only been a couple months since i broke up with josh. anyways he asked me out and i said yes in a heartbeat. He is not like any other guy and i know it. he’s far from them and he;s never going to hurt me. he didn't even have to say that to reassure me i just know. and I'm dating my best friend like how much better could it get. he helped me get sober and i could be 5 months sober but i had slip up. so its been 2 months fully clean and i couldn't feel anymore cleaner and pure. end of 2017 started to look better for me. I started dating my best friend, got sober, got out of probation, got a job in kelowna and my relationship with my parents got so so so strong. My mom and I haven't been closer and its honestly the best. little did i know we are the same person esp when drunk haha. But then some stuff with my little sister when down and i ratted her to my parents because it was the only way to get her out of that situation. anyways she doesn't talk to me anymore or ever. And i guess I'm so hurt and thats why i decided to write everything out because I'm hurt. I lost my best friend since 2013. yes she is my sister but she is also my best friend. If you ask me who i want as my bridesmaid id say shalini right off the hook. without thinking because when we moved here we had no one but each other. we moved half way across the country and left everything and everyone behind just because I was failing school in singapore. we got close i guess after only having each other and it just stings a little that she can't trust me cause who do i trust now.I know i have edwin but its different. she’s my sister she just knows me like no body else. we were fobs together and we matured and grew together. i don't have any other girl friends i trust besides her. i don't have a girl best friend and i guess I'm just sad over that. I lost all my girl best friends cause of josh and the others are back home half way across the fucking world and i just don't mean as much as i used to to them. distance and time difference can play a part lol. I really don't know what got to me to talk about everything or at least a couple things but maybe its just cause i finally got my period after 3 months and I'm super emotional and hormonal? sighs anyways i know 2018 is going to be my year and so many things are happening this year its defs gonna be a year to remember. I just wish for my best friend to come back or for me to find a good girlfriend who's on my level and wants to talk to me about her date or texts me while she;s on her date or something or comes over to nap or eat food or netflx or maybe go shopping with idk. i know i already have a friend./ twin sister like that, hanna, but she’s half way across the country and boy have we distanced. anyways i took like 45 mins typing this out and crying so i think its time to toughen up and get back to reality and life. Im a strong girl who’s been thru a couple things and with that experience of being hurt, used and manipulated I'm gonna make a change and 2018 is going to be waaaay different. I got this, all of it.
