i think my first exposure to lesbianism (like girls actually kissing) was this story on the game episode, and i clearly remeber that i was playing a story about love and it.had options to date men and women, or the bsecual option, "i dont knkw man, i jst like pizza" whoch mesnt bkth men and women, and i remeber thinkinv WOMEN ?????????? and i wnaed to press it ... i was so tempted to .. i was lime .. 10 ? 11 ? 9 ?? i dont remeber, 9-11 and i had mever in my lofe jesrd of lesbianism before (i did get callrd a lesbian beflre this because i was dsting my friend fri3nd on roblox by pretending to be a guy) but i was lime WOAH ??? 2OMEN KISSING WOMEN ?? but i was also like not going to pick women because to me thqt was new and odd, but i ddint want to pick men because i dodnt like men (shocker !!!) and so i picked the bisexual option (secretly i wantrd the women option but i woukd have felt too ashamed)

AND THE THERE WAS THE SCEBE WHERE THE GIRL CAME IN AND WE (ALSO.A.GIRL) BUMPED INTO HER !!! and she was pretty hot, badass girl qnd i woukd get teally excoted to talk to hrr everytime my character rejected her i was so angry i was begging for my characyer to plese just kiss her already, but the giy wlukd also show up wnd i hated him so much because he was a guy and i didnr want him, so id just skip it as fast as possible until the girl was there

after i had learned of this besutoful thing callrd lesbianism, i wljkd search up lesbian on episode to read more girl on girl stories. then i saw that fifty shades of gret pussy eating scene, and id sesrch up lesbian sex on episode

but lik3 my first .. like actual media of lesbianism woukd be yuri manga ? i remever the first one i watched and read was citrus, so that kind of has a special place in my hesrt even if its kind of weird because it was the firsr lesbian thing i had rver read or seen. i wpukd like go on some sketchy manga websotes and loom theoifh every single yuri manga and read them all like id write every simgke one down in a book ( i still have that book with all the yuri manga titles, its really filled up ! and i r3mebe4 all of them)

I'm still torn between different reasonings for her having the name either

A- It was given to her as an honorary title, by Queen Vespa, during her training within the hive (or bestowed upon her after having finished her training as a symbol of her accomplishments.)

Or B- She gave the name to herself, after the fall of the kingdom, as a way to separate her current self from her past while still honoring some part of her past. (The part that is easiest for her to look back on.)

As for her birth name my sisters and I have decided on Arachnè. (The name is from a Greek myth, where the protagonist Arachnè challenges Athena to a weaving contest, wins, and is afterwards transformed into a spider.)

Watching Daniel and Louis joining their brain cells together in the rock garden to figure things out like "Oh just wait until you two find out about like the entire decade or so you're both actually missing."

I think one of the reasons I've ended up so obsessed with TanFang is because I didn't think I'd care much for their storyline at first. Like, I 100% thought it was going to be another slow burn romance with the goofy and slightly annoying one pursuing the cooler/more aloof one until they finally, after going to great lengths to prove their love and adoration, break through the stoic exterior to win their heart. Which can be fun, but I wasn't that invested in the idea at the point I started watching

But, of course, I was wrong! Or, well, not entirely right. Obviously that’s still kind of their dynamic on a surface level, but it’s not as extreme as I was expecting, it wasn’t a slowburn (though there is still the slow unravelling of Fang's feelings), and Fang is more into being annoyed than I thought he’d be. XD And their characters have more depth than I may have been expecting too? I don’t know. I feel like they keep surprising me in small ways, which I love

But yeah, the moment Fang cut Tan off mid-sentence when Tan is starting to explain how he likes Fang, clearly trying to convince him they should date, to just say 'yes' with no hesitation I was like 'Oh... Okay!!!' And then there was Fang's absolutely adorable and so so happy smile when Tan takes his hand that immediately won my heart <3 and from there I just fell deeper and deeper…

So, yeah, while their storyline isn't a slow burn, my obsession with them has been, and it's made it all the stronger haha

Anyway, I don't know why I'm posting this, and I haven’t articulated their dynamic or what I love about it very well, but I just wanted to share it I guess. Does anyone else get what I'm saying? Like, how you end up loving something more because you didn't think you'd like it at first?

Also, while I did see that Fang was more fondly annoyed from the start, I didn't quite catch just how softly he looks at Tan when Tan isn't looking sometimes, even early on. (And vice versa—ofc Tan always looks at Fang softly, but there's something particular about the way he looks at Fang when Fang isn't looking that's so lovely. But that's for another post lol)

(Sidenote: I LOVE (emotional) slow burns! I love love love them! But Tan is the kind of character that I can easily go either way on whether or not I'll find them annoying, which is why I didn't think I'd be that into TanFang's romance. Luckily Aou is incredibly charming and the character is written in a way I find very appealing)

so largely I’m half referencing this collection of quotes and the various attempts to fill in the space/grave with a body (like Cicero! Cicero was a contender for this!) and I’m sort of taking shots at Antony for fun and whimsy.

like in sports!! I gotta root for my man Cassius over Antony, especially because no one can actually fill the space left by Crassus after his death (literally, the political landscape makes this impossible), but Cassius assumes a command position due to everyone else (notably, Crassus) dying (so: inheriting Crassus’ leadership position) and wouldn’t be a bad follow up to Crassus in the realm of military command since they have a similar (strict, as opposed to friendly in a way is commonly associated with Antony) relationship with the men under their command.

& also bc Marcus Crassus jr seems to be disinterested in taking up space in the political spotlight on his return from the Gallic Wars otherwise I’d be advocating for him on the basis of family tragedy compounded. it’s time to fill the space/memory/grave of your father and brother, buddy!
