To the people saying "Jason wouldn't have jumped into tartarus for Piper, like Percy did for Annabeth" as a way to demean him. Jason, plunged into the sky from the grand canyon to catch Piper in the first few pages of the lost hero without even knowing who she was, and without the knowledge that he could fly. so he basically jumped to his death attempting to catch her. the etho and tango farmland bit was so good. tango plays up being enamoured by etho's minecraft knowledge when etho shows him how to stop his crops from breaking. tango tries the fencepost trick and it doesn't work. the crops are still breaking. instead of assuming etho got it wrong, or tha he did it wrong, tango just automatically jumps to the conclusion that etho's pulling his leg

something about how the two of them have enough respect for each others intellect that they can never quite tell when they're fucking with each other is amazing. there's always a trick or a prank involved
