I'm a big fan of parallels, and I just can't get over Nina and Maggie.
Nina and Maggie, who at first glance act like Crowley and Aziraphale respectively. Nina and Maggie, who actually represent Aziraphale and Crowley. Nina, the one stuck in an unhealthy situation that she acknowledges is bad but she thinks can get better. Maggie, who's more than willing to wait. Nina, who's only uncomfortable with Maggie's feelings while she's still stuck in that toxic life, and acknowledges she very well might just return Maggie's feelings once she's out of it. Maggie, who will always be there for Nina.
The situations aren't the exact same. Aziraphale thinks he can reform a cult fundamentally broken system, and Nina was dating a toxic and (at minimum) emotionally abusive ex. But I think Aziraphale's going to become disillusioned with Heaven, and while Crowley needs time to process what he read as a rejection, I believe he's going to realize that whenever Aziraphale acknowledges that Heaven can't be fixed, he's going to need someone to come back to, who will talk sense into Aziraphale and make sure the angel keeps talking sense, or else he's just going to be manipulated right back. Someone who will teach him how to say no.
(Because Aziraphale didn't want to go back. Metatron lept upon Aziraphale's inabilty to firmly reject anything and his blind naivety to bamboozle him into accepting the offer. Aziraphale tried, but he is very good at being manipulated.)
(Because Aziraphale knows there's an issue with Heaven, but he thinks it's the angels. He's still blind to the scope of the issue, and those above him want to make sure it stays that way.)
Nina and Maggie. The one who doesn't allow themself to want because want isn't permitted in their current situation, and the one who waits. Aziraphale and Crowley.

@dontmindmejustsettingsatanfree no worries! i pointed towards dahlia here because the writing on her in particular is immensely misogynistic. as in, the way she's treated in the meta narrative. she's implicated by the games as being a heartless, cruel, terrible woman and the games never do anything meaningful to address why she became the way she did. stuff like that is understandable w/ characters like mvk, where we're to just understand their motivation as "this guy stinks," but dahlia isn't equal in that.
firstly, she fits into the black widow trope, which would be misogynistic without depth regardless of what i'm about to say. but it's worse because ace attorney does establish reasons, realistic reasons, for why she did the things she did. the influence of abusive parents spurred her into being who she was, and that's only given cursory attention. even worse handled though, the establishment of terry fawles.
what's difficult is of course i believe you should be able to think critically about a narrative without the games hand feeding everything to you, especially with the aa games due to phoenix being a protagonist who is also very selfish and dysfunctional. not being able to analyze things like that on their own without having it spelled out for you is what leads to the crazy amount of hate beanix gets as a character, because of course that's gonna confuse you if you didn't see the signs of that behavior that were always there.
but even so, ace attorney's treatment of dahlia's traumas is so disconcerting because all of the narrative characters we're given to perceive her through are completely unforgiving. mia fey is depicted as righteous in her wishes to take down dahlia, her... perpetually abused cousin. (not that she knows this, but god damn the familial aspect just makes it all the more upsetting.) we're given the tools to empathize with dahlia, but the games themselves hardly utilize them. however you may see dahlia, the games are not nice to her. which is like yeah, i guess a game where the way to "beat" the villain is by sending them to prison/the fucking Los Angeles Gallows is going to be flawed when it comes to forgiveness, the double standard with dahlia is just shocking though.
i've said it before but the narrative with edgeworth implies he's likely responsible for the indictments of many people, realistically more than dahlia killed. it's ok if he gets people killed for his own questionable reasons under the veneer of law, but not when she does it to survive? she can't be forgiven? she's too far gone? i'm just not a fan of it. and this isn't to say aa isn't nuanced, but it still does ultimately glorify the legal system.
and i'll address it now, the worst thing here is terry fawles. there is not a shred of empathy in the games for dahlia. not a single person goes "wow, she's a teenager and he's an adult? that's awful" because the entire narrative is designed to flip that dynamic and see dahlia as the ringmaster of their relationship. they want us to see terry as the victim, for being too "stupid" and easy for dahlia to manipulate. this dynamic is disgusting, not only is it misogynistic but it's victim blaming. this is not... something that happens. in a relationship between a 14 year old and an adult man it's the adult man's fault and responsibility if things get that far, and it's horribly insulting to purposefully craft a narrative where that's not the case.
i just woke up & i haven't touched trials and tribulations in a while, so i'm likely not articulating everything applicable here. the tl;dr is just that dahlia's depiction is misogynistic because the narrative refuses to see dahlia as a human being who can be empathized with, regardless of why she became who she did.
it's honestly disheartening that wendy oldbag is the only old woman in the (main) ace attorney series. she's, as i'm sure you know, constantly depicted as unattractive, annoying, delusional, and predatory, with one of her main "jokes" being that she relentlessly sexually harasses edgeworth (which is a whole other can of worms.) she's given VERY few humanizing moments, and the fact that she's the only present elderly woman is made especially noticeable when taking into consideration the much wider age range present with the male characters. obviously ace attorney as a series isn't a stranger to misogyny (cough) dahlia hawthorne (cough) but anytime wendy is onscreen i really just grit my teeth and hope to get through it as fast as possible, not only due to her unpleasantness in universe, but because of what she means. the reminder that in so much of modern society, elderly women are viewed as useless creatures who have overstayed their welcome and should stay quiet, nurturing, and palatable. on top of that, if they so much as dare to entertain the idea that they could be sexually appealing, they're creepy and embarrassing. ageism is a serious issue, especially towards women, and wendy oldbag is a disconcerting reminder of how women are viewed once they're "past their prime." there is nothing wrong with growing old, it's part of life, and those affected by misogyny shouldn't be expected to simply stop existing once they've passed a certain point in their timeline.

1. Ranboo compared to the other anarchists of the server.
2. C!Tommy’s mental health.
3. C!Dream as an immortal insane god.
4. Ghostbur’s resurrection.
5. Who betrayed who Techno vs Tommy edition.
A bit of an after-thought - everyone on the SMP is traumatized. Absolutely everyone, no one is handling everything in a mentally healthy way. That’s why it’s meaningless to try to say what’s wrong and what’s right, that’s why it’s all morally grey - everyone is doing things because of their own warped perception of the world, the right and wrong blur when everyone thinks that they’re right and everyone else is wrong. Trying to justify someone’s actions with logic and moral righteousness is inherently time-wasting, because everyone is acting how their feelings let them at the time.
Saying who’s right or wrong, trying to figure out villains and good guys <<< Analyzing characters by their actions and trying to understand WHY rather than SHOUD THEY HAVE.
Probably a bit of a backwards way to say that I don’t care if Tommy or Techno are wrong in their argument - L’manburg was destroyed, Tommy thinks Techno is bad. That’s the end of that story, stay tuned for what Tommy’s gonna do now.

There is just a very huge difference between Ranboo and the other two anarchists of the server.
Ranboo, while being strong in his beliefs, is a non-violent person. Yes he’s stacked, yes he could fight, but he chooses to stay on the sidelines and just watch the action unfold. He’d rather listen in to people and then make conclusions about their actions and decide on things by himself. He’s hard to sway, Quackity may have softened his viewpoint slightly, and I genuinely hope that Ranboo follows through with that and decides that teams and groups is something that kind of needs to happen before the idea that all conflicts are a personal thing between two people can actually make sense. People are stronger together, especially those that don’t have good gear or pvp skills. The weaker people, the ones lower in the food chain, don’t have that many options for getting their point across. The server is already dominated by the strongest, most skilled, most geared people, and those are the people that matter, when it comes down to it.
Quackity is very much a unique case. He has managed to do with four people what L’manburg and all of its inhabitants didn’t manage for the longest time. He is very much a main player.
The other two anarchists are both very violent. Dream was always like that, he hasn’t shown a crumb of being able of change or considering a different opinion (extreme delusions or just extreme self-confidence? Either one makes him a prick), but Techno actually had an arc where he made the entirely wrong conclusions.
I don’t think I’ve talked about the Butcher Army much.
So Techno blew up Manberg, threatened to take down any government that sprouted up and then dipped. He made his little cottage, he went on a retirement arc, so on and so forth.
But then the Butcher Army formed.
And their one target was the pig.
And they went out of their way to track him down, to prepare to kill him, they arrived there and threatened him, and they said that it’s time for Techno to pay for his crimes, and they reacted how anyone else would when being attacked – they attacked too. They took his horse to get him to stop, they brought him up for execution, they didn’t manage to kill him, but they switched targets once they realized that they can’t actually kill him while literal god is on his side, helping him.
The conclusion there wasn’t that government is evil and abuses its power. It’s that violence is paid forward with violence.
It doesn’t really matter that Techno misunderstood. Either way he would’ve returned to good old Blood for the Blood God Technoblade, but I fear that this event reinforced his very wrong belief that government is the source of ALL problems on the server.
If he would say that government is the cause of MAJOR conflicts that wouldn’t happen if government didn’t exist, yeah! Yeah, I agree with that actually. But he’s saying that EVERY conflict is because of government.
The disc war was not because of government.
The Pet War was not because of government.
Most of the rivalries of the server are not because of government.
Tommy was not… Actually (yeah Tommy was exiled because of government and the fact that the sentimentality for L’manburg seemed very important at that point. Things shouldn’t be more important than people, people you can’t just replace. But…) Dream specifically when he went after Tommy targeted L’manburg. If the country didn’t exist, Dream probably would have gone about it another way, probably one more difficult, but he wouldn’t have involved all these people whose only connection to one another is a flimsy city built on stilts. I still hate how Techno refuses to acknowledge that Dream WAS the cause of Tommy’s exile, not government.
But what if Techno was big brain?
Yeah, things shouldn’t be more important than people. Is that what he’s suggesting? That government favors power over giving up land/buildings/countries for their people, knowing that if they lost their country they would no longer have power?
That would be very interesting!… If his actions actually indicated this.
Techno didn’t chunk error L’manburg because he thought those buildings gave power to someone over another. He did it out of revenge, claiming that it still lined up with his anarchist beliefs and that he was doing good. Techno released withers, the most destructive and hard-to-kill mob available to the server, he stalled while Dream essentially set up nukes above the city. They didn’t do this out of kindness and want for the people to have freedom, they KILLED the people that they were so “graciously” “saving”.
Technoblade and Dream are both violent anarchists who misunderstood what the word means. They don’t seek order in the chaos, they don’t seek a peaceful anarchy, they just want blood.
Which makes me very worried for Ranboo. I don’t think that he will get influenced by the two, if the two ever come back together to stir up shit again. I don’t think Ranboo is going to believe Technoblade when he says that government is the cause of ALL problems, because Ranboo doesn’t just hate the factions of the server. He has said that Dream is the reason for a lot of conflict on the server, he understands what Dream is up to. If he will agree with Techno at the beginning, he certainly will find issue in Techno considering Dream a worthy ally.
I just hope that Techno LISTENS for at least once in his life.
(But I won’t be too sad if it’s Phil Ranboo manages to convince. Might actually be easier to get through to anarchist pig Blade that way…)

I worry for c!Tommy’s mental health.
I know this probably is never going to get addressed rather than that one tiny little plot point where he got exiled for no reason but being as resilient as Tommy is, so constantly himself without apology, so constantly in everyone’s faces and just out there so much, so purposefully annoying just because it’s entertaining for him… I don’t think he’s alright.
The many times he has been beaten down, how many times people have battled him and won, how many times he’s told to shut up and just take it – it makes you wonder how come he hasn’t just given up by now and toned it down so people stop hating him.
Yeah, he’s resilient. Yeah, he’s annoying that way. But I seriously doubt that he can take all that he takes and still be perfectly okay.
One insult means nothing. One time can be just a made up thing to make you pissed off.
Same thing twice? Someone’s just mocking you.
Three times? Wow okay these guys must all be friends and they gossip about me!
Four times?… Hey how big is your friend group exactly?
Five times?…
Six times?…
Seven?…
How about 20.
No matter how ridiculous something that someone noticed about you may be, if repeated enough times, you almost sub-consciously start to believe it. Lots of people notice this – hey I can also notice it!
C!Tommy being annoying on purpose, saying that it’s just entertaining for him… Doesn’t that sound like a really depressing thing to enjoy? Something that garners you so much attention you literally get exiled?
And the fact that, even during Dream enforcing the exile, even when he escaped, when he appeared in Techno’s house and huddled under it like a raccoon, he was still so painfully annoying you just want to punt him?… Does that really sound like just a funny pastime for him and not a defense mechanism against all of the shit people put him through, something that he does out of habit because even though it gets him in trouble a lot of the time, it’s also the only way he can actually react to events and people threatening him, cause what is he gonna do, actually threaten them and get them to leave that way?
I dunno this may be dumb… I may be projecting slightly… Wondering where all of his resilience comes from when actual good things that happened because of him versus the bad things that people constantly blame him for… Sir where do you get that strength and how can I sell my soul for it?
<_><_><_><_><_> <_><_><_><_><_>
#3
Oh I’ve written characters that think of awful, violent things as fun…
I actually really like those characters.
I don’t know why I always make them the most traumatized, split-personality, abused and manipulated victims-turned-absolute-monsters.
No wait I do know why.
BECAUSE IF YOU THINK THAT CAUSING PAIN TO OTHERS IS A FUN TIME AND YOU WANT TO DO IT AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN JUST TO SEE THEIR EXPRESSION OF PAIN, THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU.
Dream’s no different. We haven’t seen much of him, other than his motivation and the fact that he goes the wrong way about thinking of means to get to the end. He hasn’t revealed a traumatic past or any real reason why he targets only one person if torturing everyone on the server would probably be way more “fun”.
But he is called god.
And THAT lines up with one of my favorite things to talk about!
Immortals :D
You see the whole concept of a god or an immortal being is at its core something we shouldn’t comprehend. Death and the fact that it will happen can be counted as a reason for a lot of our motivations, so how does it affect one’s thinking if one of our core reasons for life is erased?
I can dump a whole philosophical essay here but I feel like it is highly unnecessary. Dream, as an immortal god on the server, has access to stuff that many people have to grind hours of their life for. This twists his perception of the value of certain items, and also certain actions. The fact that he cannot die also affects that perception, and in his long life he has probably had the same thoughts a lot of immortals have – few things are meaningful in life, few are worth sacrificing things for and few are just as immortal as they are.
This, of course, can cause a little thing called an existential crisis, and it can break an immortal, especially if they were once human and most definitely mortal. We don’t know for sure what Dream is, but assuming either scenario makes his pursuit of fun and drama valid.
If he was once a human and by some dark magic gained immortality, his want to see how humans react to things being destroyed, or how humans fold under torture, may be a twisted way of analyzing himself, trying to understand how he could be a part of them, trying to reconnect with his old self, attempts to return to the mortal plane, there are many options but all firmly lead into “this is just a fun experiment for him”. How people throw mentos in a bowl and pour coke over it just to see an explosion. That’s Dream with the SMP.
If he was always a god, then it gets even more interesting (and thematically relevant!). He never understood these creatures that run around and desperately try to prevent death while simultaneously causing so much of it. If Dream doesn’t understand mortals and death as a concept, then his view of them, based on what he’s seen of the SMP, is that humans SEEK violence, and drama, and pain, and harm. They purposefully create meaningless things to then give them meaning and then feel pain over them. He is utterly confused by humans, but he also understands them quite well.
Taunted, insulted? Retaliate with force.
A country that demands peace? Blow it to smithereens.
A sentimental thing that you could literally replace within a fraction of a life, a little thing of pride that you were able to acquire?
It can control people.
And he seems to understand THAT concept of humanity perfectly well. The want for power, the seeking of control, the simple want to somehow be above your equals, somehow stand out and be admired.
Dream grasps that concept so well he might as well be human.
I don’t know if this humanity side of Dream will be his hubris, if the weakness he acquired from humans – sentimentality over objects that can very easily be replaced and mean nothing in the grand scheme of things – may actually come back after he so rudely pushed it away.
We don’t know enough about this guy. We can make some conclusions, sure, but uh… The simple fact that he causes chaos for fun means that whatever we may think the reason for his motivations is, we will probably fail to understand him as long as we think logically.
C!Dream is an absolute prick. I want to punt him.
But I won’t until he explains why he chose to be a bad copy of the Joker with immortality sprinkled on the fucked up cake.
<_><_><_><_><_> <_><_><_><_><_>
#4
Wilbur is coming back into the plot!
Not that Ghostbur isn’t important to the plot. His character is just stagnant because in order to give him proper char development you need to address some very serious mental issues and that’s not exactly something the SMP does often. (Most serious I’ve seen it is Tommy’s exile arc and maybe Fundy’s adoption stream)
So they’re bringing back Alivebur. What could possibly go wrong?
Everything. Literally everything.
I talked about it once, how if Ghostbur’s character wants to reach peace – finish his arc – firstly he has to confront his trauma. At the same time I said that if he was brought back to life, it could hinder his already done little progress of adapting to ghost life and probably reset him. Very certain conditions would have to be met in order for Ghostbur to gain something out of being brought back to life, and a lot of those conditions lean on Alivebur coming back as a certain “version” of himself, which cannot be predicted simply because there isn’t a resident ghost expert on the server. No one knows how these idiots work.
The worrying thing is that they are most definitely bringing back Alivebur. There wouldn’t be need for this plot otherwise. So they will definitely succeed, Alivebur will definitely be brought back, and he will be important to the plot.
What can we theorize about knowing those things?
Mmmm… Isn’t it weird that Ghostbur said he wants to quit being Ghostbur after L’manburg was destroyed? Is it a want to stop ignoring bad things that are happening, since he knows he is going to forget this and move on and he doesn’t want to keep escaping anymore? That’s a good motivation.
Or is it because Ghostbur is like the old spirit of L’manburg, both connected to it physically and mentally? Would Alivebur want L’manburg back, considering that was his only goal in his life, to destroy it, or is he finally going to feel fulfilled that it is over and his obsession with it can die?
I dunno! I have no idea what part they want Wilbur to play in the upcoming plot. It’s very unclear if Wilbur is going to be a side character that moves the plot in little ways or if he’s going to become the main character again or if, and this is probably my most likely theory, the resurrection fails at first and it leads the whole gang, with Ghostbur up front, down weird paths that somehow end with Dream.
(Cause we all know that guy is not going to just write himself out of the plot if he can instead continue being the villain)
It all feels like it’s going to connect, finally. All of the main people from the past getting back into the spotlight in a very convoluted plot to get one of them back into the land of the living.
Don’t really know though. Wondering how resurrection works, that’s all. Knowing that info, may be possible to make a better theory.

There is no one right in the “Tommy betrayed Techno” vs “Tommy realized Techno is not a good influence on him” argument. Neither one is right, but neither one is completely wrong. Neither character is in the right, or in the wrong, and it doesn’t really matter who’s right or wrong in this scenario, fact is it happened and the people reacted how they did.
There is only one thing to say about Techno and Tommy, and probably the only thing I’m kinda feeling very strongly about.
Sometimes the refusal to be swayed to another side or believing in yourself gets you called selfish.
That’s both about Techno and Tommy.
And a lot of other people on the server.

1-11 Scott/Posey Stans always try to deflect criticism of the way Scott McCall is written in Teen Wolf by claiming that ANY attempt by a fan, a viewer, or a critic of holding Scott to a level of behavior that one would expect of a character who is a main and the self-proclaimed hero of the show is “racism”. Except that their accusations don’t make any sense whatsoever, because Scott’s canonical shitty actions and behavior don’t stem from his race (or canonical lack of thereof.)
Okay hun, this is a doozy, so I’m putting it under a Read More.
2-11 Scott McCall is mean. He’s mean to Stiles, he’s mean to Allison, he’s mean to Derek, he’s mean to Peter, he’s mean to Cora, he’s mean to Lydia, he’s mean to Jackson, he’s mean to Erica, he’s mean to Isaac, he’s mean to Malia, he’s mean to Malia, he’s mean to Kira, he’s mean to Liam, he’s mean to Chris, and he’s even mean to Theo (“You are barely even human!”) Scott McCall is deliberately rude to the Hales, Boyd, Ethan, Danny, Hayden, Jiang, Tierney, and Melissa.
3-11 Scott McCall deliberately USES, INSULTS, HUMILIATES and DEHUMANIZES people in ways that demonstrate that he is fully aware of what he’s doing. Scott McCall deliberately disregards other people’s needs in order to fulfill his own. Tyler Posey being half Mexican doesn’t change the fact that his fictional character Scott McCall is a whiny coward and an abusive piece of trash,
4-11 and that his so called ‘defense squad’ enjoys the power fantasy that Scott can be cruel, can lie, can assault, can lash out, can violate other people’s boundaries, bodily autonomy and consent, can commit premeditated murder, can break the law without impunity, can dehumanize, can gaslight and victim blame his friends to his heart’s content and no one should ever hold it against him
5-11 In both the production and in some Scott supremacist fanfics, there’s often the premise that people are evil and in the wrong if they call Scott out on his bullshit or hold his toxic behavior against him. Take Season 1. As much as the Scott McCall defense squad brigade love framing Stiles and Derek getting shit done and prioritizing people’s life over Scott’s jealous fits and temper tantrums as the height of depravity
6-11 Scott/Posey Stans consciously and steadfastly ignore all the cruel things that Scott says and does throughout the seasons, such as “How much Adderall have you had today?” OR “What are you trying to do?! I just made first line! I got a date with a girl who I can't believe wants to go out with me and everything in my life is perfect! Why are you trying to ruin it?!” OR “The hunters had a reason to slaughter your entire family and pack”
7-11 (As an aside, it’s amazing to me how Fanon rewrites Scott as this brilliant thinker and strategist and mastermind who is so much smarter and better than everyone else in every way even though Canon Scott spends the entirety of Teen Wolf doing absolutely nothing except get his ass handed to him by everyone, whining about wanting to be popular/get his dick wet/play lacrosse, screaming at his friends and girlfriends, being utterly useless when left to his own devices,
8-11 and planning to bite Stiles against his will because he doesn’t know what to do. But I digress.) Or take Season 5. In the rain argument in Lies of Omission (5x09), Scott McCall’s hypocritical, dehumanizing speech to Stiles is one of the meanest, cruelest, most disgusting manipulations I have ever seen a television character deliver to another television character they supposedly cared about. It’s victim blaming and gaslighting at its vilest.
9-11 And, of course, the Scott McCall defense squad focuses exclusively on the idea that Stiles didn’t behave “the right way” in that scene (AKA taking Scott’s bullshit without clapping back like Scott wanted and demanded), and cannot entertain for one moment the idea that Scott provoked that response by dehumanizing Stiles and by accusing Stiles of being a violent, dangerous, inhuman monster and serial killer based on Theo’s words alone.
10-11 After all, it’s part of their power fantasy. Scott being “abandoned” and “mistreated” by his “ungrateful” friends serves another type of fantasy: the poor oppressed martyr. It doesn’t matter why Scott is abandoned or who is leaving Scott, it’s all about Scott McCall’s right to own people and demand his friends’ love, friendship, loyalty, sympathy, forgiveness, obedience and devotion without having to account for his own abusive behavior.
11-11 And that’s Scott Stans’ point: Only Scott McCall Is Important and Damn Derek/Stiles/Liam/Other Teen Wolf character for having a life and motivations that don’t revolve around Scott! To them (and to Canon Scott), the pack exists not to serve all its members, but to serve and validate Scott McWhinyCall. Because, after all, that’s what antis want for themselves – validation in the face of shortcomings and bad behavior.
Wow, that was a lot of anger. Do you feel any better after venting that? I really hope so, it honestly looks p cathartic. Okay, I apologize in advance if I don’t come across as quite so passionate, I’m kinda bleh today and I already used up all my righteous fury in an earlier post, so I’ll do my best.
I honestly understand the worry about people disliking Scott as having racist motivations. As I said in another post, there aren’t a lot of Latino (wait, I read somewhere to use latine? Should I use that instead? I’ll use that, someone correct me if I’m wrong. The thing also said latinx was not great bc of pronunciation issues? I’m not educated enough on this. Halp, please.) Latine protagonist characters in popular television, especially for teen dramas like Teen Wolf. Intentional or not, written into the show or not, Scott is half-latine. His mother is a latine woman. We don’t see them speak spanish or take part in any specific cultural traditions, but that doesn’t make him white. Yes, his character was written for a white guy, but Tyler Posey is the one who got the part and we can’t strip him of his heritage just because the show originally meant for Scott to be white. My husband is almost always mistaken for white, even though he’s also half-latine, but that doesn’t make him any less latine. There’s little enough representation as it is, and if we start being picky about whether characters were ‘intended’ or ‘written’ as POC, everything will just fall to shit. Plus, as a white person, I have literally no rights to decide that Scott’s white. I’m cool with that. Would prefer to just stay in my lane, if I’m honest. With Scott established as being a POC, it’s totally reasonable for other POC and fans of Scott to be worried that those of us who don’t like him have that opinion because of either passive or active racism. There are a lot of occasions where Protags of Color were either liked less, or actively disliked for just being ‘not white.’ It also doesn’t help that Scott is one of very few “good” Characters of Color in TW (whether we agree or not, he is presented as a ‘good guy’). We have Boyd, who dies in 3A and doesn’t get much character developement in the meantime, and Kira, who sticks around for a while, then has to leave because of ‘losing control’ which is apparently a very common stereotype for POC, especially within Fantasy or Supernatural settings. Other than them, the other POC are either bad guys or just morally dubious. I’m not sure where Deaton falls on the scale either. I understand it being frustrating to some people for us to take one of the few “good’ characters and see him/describe him as a villain. It’s important for white people, and honestly, anyone not latine (because even POC can be racist against people who aren’t their race) to be self-aware and analyze the various reasons why we dislike Scott and make sure that we aren’t accidentally being passively racist. Just because we’re sure we aren’t, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t double check. And if we find we are, then it’s up to us to correct that mindset and educate ourselves. There is no shame in learning that you have not great habits or mindsets and working to fix them. That’s how growth works. It’s equally important that when we’re writing fic, we watch how we portray him and the other POC in the show. I’m not saying we can’t write Scott bashing fic. Fuck knows that I’ve written plenty of Bad Friend Scott McCall fic, and I don’t intend to stop. But we still need to be self-critical and make sure that we’re not writing Scott (or the others, please assume from here on out I’m saying Scott and the others) into racist stereotypes. We shouldn’t reduce him to just a “Yes” man, or make him constantly submissive, or constantly vicious and angry and mean for no reason. It’s one thing to write him as doing something bad or cruel and making it realistic for the story. It’s quite another to have him just randomly pop in to say “fuck you” and hit someone (I’m not referencing something specific here, I’m just saying dumb stuff). Honestly, I don’t know enough about this and I’m not really entitled to go into too much more detail. Instead, I’d recommend that even if you don’t think you’re hating Scott for racist reasons, still read This Post about racism in fandom/fanfic. When I read it, it was both reassuring and intimidating. I have anxiety, so I’m usually worried about doing things for ‘the wrong reason’ even when that’s not actually my reason for doing the thing. Reading this gave me a clearer view of my own thoughts, and it honestly made me feel a little more comfortable with my own mentality because it gave me a structure to think about and consider when I’m worried that I’m doing something racist. It’s worth the read. I’d also like to reiterate the suggestion on that post, to check out the blog Writing with Color, which is a great resource for writing Characters of Color. It doesn’t have as many resources for fanfiction writing and the grey area involved in writing characters that your reader already knows, but their ask box is closed at the moment, so maybe when it opens again someone’ll send in an ask about it (If I actually remember to, I’ll do it myself, but that’s unlikely, so if one of you feels so inspired, please do so and help a fic writer out!)
Now. I cannot speak for every single fan of TW who is anti-Scott in some way. Obviously not. But, I can speak for myself and for the experiences I’ve had within the fandom. My issues with Scott are many and complex and a lot of it is intrinsically connected to issues with the writing of the show in general and with the creators and the calls they made. In all the conversations that I’ve had with other fans, I’ve never seen anyone list Scott’s race as a problem. I’ve never seen anyone talk about how they wished he were more submissive or more obedient. Maybe that he would listen to actual adults once in a while, but not that he be unreasonably obedient of white characters. I’m not all-knowing on the subject of racist stereotypes, but nearly every complaint I’ve seen was based on details from the show and specific moments and dialogue, not just a general disgust with his existence. Furthermore, for all the anger I see directed at those of us that prefer Stiles, Derek, or even Peter, I’ve also never talked to anyone who liked those characters who wasn’t willing to admit that there were plenty of points in canon where they fucked up or did something wrong. Again, I don’t know everyone in fandom, so maybe there are people who won’t admit those things, but they aren’t in the majority.
I personally hate the way I see Scott treat people in the show. I hate the really vicious things he says and does and the chronic lack of self-awareness or growth. Even worse, the way the show excuses his behavior, be it intentional or not, has soured a lot of other parts of the show. The clearly impulsive moments that could easily be excused by him being a really stressed out teenager make me a lot more frustrated than they would, had I not known that he would never get better. That he would never stop saying things like that. I can’t even make myself enjoy the genuinely sweet moments with him and Allison or him and his mom, etc. I might hate that he left Stiles’ messages unanswered and skipped an entire day of school during a crisis to hang out with Allison, but I would’ve liked to enjoy their banter, the soft moments between them that are actually really nice. I can’t though, because so many other things about his character have ruined that for me.
It isn’t okay to attack people for disliking a character and throw around such charged words like “racist” and “abuse-apologist” or anything else. First off, this is fiction, and we all need to keep that in mind. These are not real people we’re talking about. Secondly, calling someone racist because they disagree with you (unless they are actively saying/doing something actually racist) isn’t okay and it isn’t an adult way to deal with things. Someone not liking a character doesn’t automatically make them racist. Someone happening to prefer a white character over a Character of Color doesn’t automatically make them racist. Sure, they might have passively racist motivations that even they don’t realize. But it is not up to strangers to come yell and call names without proof. There are plenty of reasons that have nothing to do with race (Not saying “i don’t see race.” I’m saying “Not About Race”) that I like Stiles over Scott, ranging from the fact that he’s physically more my type, to sharing a neurological condition with him, to just preferring Dylan O’Brien as an actor because he makes me fucking cry every time he cries on screen. What’s important is that we self analyze and check ourselves and our opinions to make sure that we aren’t falling into the racist habit of disliking Characters of Color for no real reason. But that isn’t something that other people can do for us, and it’s not their place to tell us what we think. Calling a stranger racist for saying they hate Scott’s behavior in the show doesn’t do anything for racial equality. It just makes people stop listening to the word ‘racist.’
There are times I seriously get frustrated with TW to the point of considering not watching anymore. Of closing my blog and stopping reading fanfic entirely because every single time I read a fic where Scott’s a ‘good guy’ or a ‘good alpha’ or where Derek is glad to be a beta again because he likes following Alpha Scott, I get squicked so badly I have to click out and just sit there for a second to settle. I can’t disentangle the things he does/says in the show from the fic.And I’ve written Good Friend Scott McCall fics. I have multiple wips where he’s either a decent person or he grows from being a dick to being a decent person. With my own work, I know that there’s an awareness to his behavior in the show and an active intent to rewrite/fix his behavior so that he is a nice person. With other people’s works, I don’t have a guarantee (unless it’s mentioned in tags or author’s notes, and I don’t expect people to have to explain themselves that way), and it personally makes me uncomfortable to read something when I don’t know if the writer actually sees Scott that way. It’s a personal preference, and one that I stick to pretty strictly.
Scott brings me no joy, and with him as the main character, I’ve come perilously close to cutting myself off from the most welcoming, loving fandom I’ve ever been a part of (except the Merlin fandom, but I don’t blame anyone who can’t compete with them. They’re fucking magical.). But I’m still here. I still love, if not the reality of the show, then all the potential I see in it when I watch. I love watching Derek and Stiles interact with each other and with the other side characters. I love seeing the glimpses of Boyd that we get, the tiny scenes of Erica, the snarky moments with Isaac. I even like Kira, though I haven’t seen a whole lot of the show where she’s in it/genuinely can’t remember it (I can’t even remember how far I’ve seen total, but I don’t think it was past S4, and I haven’t seen past S2 in months and months) and she spends most of her scenes with Scott, which just....kind of ruins the scenes for me.
That’s the glory of fandom though, of media in general. I don’t have to like Scott. I can love Derek and Stiles instead and I can choose not to read fics where Scott is a major player or an Alpha at all. I can read fics where Kira’s part of the pack without Scott ever getting involved, and see her interact with everyone else. Or fics where Boyd never dies and watch him bake or read or play lacrosse with the pack. I can curate my own experience, whether that means blocking tags or users or filtering fics, or just straight up skipping certain scenes/episodes of the show itself. I cope with my frustrations by coming on this blog and ranting about it. Yeah, this is a public space, but it’s also a space people choose to view. If they don’t like my opinions, they can block me or unfollow me or all of the above. They don’t have to read it, just like I don’t have to read any of their pro-scott stuff. I also read fic that does explore how Scott’s behavior is problematic and cruel sometimes. Fic that either erases him or turns him into the villain, I find fun and interesting and the relationship between him and Stiles cracking into pieces is something I find extremely cathartic, so I read it pretty much every chance I get (though, i’m so picky about fics I read, you’ve no idea). I also write fic. I write the most mushy, self-indulgent sterek fic and Stiles-centric fic and and Scott bashing fic that I can possibly write. It’s a joy and a therapy all its own. Fuck, I’m rewriting the entirety of canon for fuck’s sake and I’ve made so many changes that at this point I honestly have issues remembering what happens in the show, bc I rewrote the damn thing.
At the same time, Scott fans are gonna write their power fantasies. They’re gonna write anti-Stiles stuff and anti-Derek stuff, and whatever else tickles their fancy. They’re gonna make their own rant posts and gifsets. And to be quite honest, I don’t give a single flying fuck. I already have those tags filtered out on Ao3. I don’t follow any pro-scott tumblrs. That shit doesn’t show up for me most of the time, unless it’s not tagged properly, and even then I just click out, take a second, and move on.
No one is required to like or dislike specific characters, and it’s unfair of anyone to tell us otherwise. Fandom is built on choice. The choice to disagree with canon, or to re-envision it altogether, or to love it entirely. No one can take that away from you. So long as you aren’t hurting anybody, just keep doing you, friend. I’m here for you to vent to when it gets to be too much.

sigh. season 3. here we are.
i watched the first five episodes and... i felt so uncomfortable. it was bad. not all bad but... pretty bad. so bad, that it wasn’t enjoyable for me and i didn’t care to watch it all the way through, so i read other spoilers and i am not sure if i will watch the final season. but with it being said that i did not watch the whole thing, this can’t be a full review. so, here comes my first glance. spoilers obviously.
instead of weaknesses and highlights, lets just say likes and dislikes. likes first.
LIKES
- tyler’s storyline. last season, i was skeptical of how they would handle his rape and emotions about it, but i am relieved they gave his character proper care and devin druid did a magnificent job. my only gripe is that i wish they had him do something other than boxing to channel his anger. like, i understand why he would be learning self defense but i would like to see him do something less violent??
- jessica’s reclaiming of her body. at first the whole intro to the sex toys was weird but it actually was really touching (no pun intended) to see jessica begin to love her body and love sex again after what she’s been through. also, female masturbation is so underrated. nice to see it encouraged. know your bodies, ladies.
- the classic jensen tour. i’m surprised they still allow him to do the tours. like, none of the exchange students from the last time reported him? oh.
- chloe and the abortion. as a character, i don’t care for chloe, i’m sorry. she’s not a character to me, just a plot device. also, she gets no cookies for lying for bryce in the trials (i know abusers and victims have a twisted dynamic and that’s why that happened but nah chief) but i do like how they showed that some pro-life clinics will mask as abortion clinics and manipulate women into coming and trying to get them to keep their babies. totally real and fucked up.
- bryce was held socially accountable (kind of) and i think that makes an interesting point about rape culture. in the real world, jail doesn’t scare men in power because they can buy their way out. they don’t care about women and what they feel, obviously. what’ll really fuck sexual assaulters up is when they have no friends and no one likes them. that’s what they (kind of) showed with bryce this season. and he died which, yes fucking rad awesome wow.
- i know that justin also had a kind of darker storyline (with seth, i think? you can tell me if i’m wrong but don’t be rude) but he was a lot of the comic relief it appears and brandon flynn was great at it.
- alex and jessica broke up. hallelujah.
- justin is a abuse survivor. makes sense with his background.
- monty died too AND went to jail. cool amazing beautiful.
- tony is still ferociously loyal and apparently there was a scene where clay and tony said they loved each other. rise clony. rise up from the ashes.
- “i write fanfiction” - clay jensen.
DISLIKES
-ani. ani, ani, ani. i can understand why people find her annoying and she was probably the biggest reason i was uncomfortable watching but i didn’t hate her. she just... didn’t make sense. the things she did,the things she said, how she was involved and everyone just takes to her and loves her immediately, no questions asked, no buildup necessary... none of it felt natural or believable. a new girl comes in and it’s just a coincidence that clay gives her a tour and she decides to go up to jessica and says shes amazing and lives in bryce’s house and connects herself to the house of horrors that is the tape club (which was so dumb on the tape club’s part by the way, as she could have snitched and destroyed them all) instead of just finishing out her high school career in peace considering she moves around a lot and she starts college in a year and half and probably won’t talk to any of them after that. no, she’d rather potentially go to jail for a bunch of fucking strangers and criminals and rapists. sure, okay.
and for someone who just fucking got there to basically insert themselves in the traumas of these kids and make things worse in some respects and do some fucking shitty things (not listening or caring when she heard about bryce being a GODDAMN RAPIST, accusing jessica of SLEEPING WITH HER RAPIST, accusing clay of being the killer, yelling about chloe’s pregnancy in the street, the list probably gets longer) and think they’re allowed to pass judgment when THEY JUST FUCKING GOT THERE. LIKE, WHY IS SHE SO INVESTED? WHAT DOG DOES SHE HAVE IN THIS FIGHT? DOESN’T SHE NEED TO STUDY OR SOMETHING? WHY IS THIS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYTHING ELSE SHE HAS GOING ON IN HER LIFE?
now, i get what the show was trying to do here. they wanted another, fresh perspective/narrator and i guess a love interest for clay (a wayyyy too convenient love interest, ‘she loves robots and drawing and not minding her business too! swoon!). but they could’ve had both of those things without adding someone to the payroll. honestly, i don’t think they needed a narrator at all but if they really wanted one, they could’ve added an ACTUAL ADULT detective, with no biases so they can be completely reliable to the audience and their investment would be justified. for love interest, yall already know how much i love and miss sheri. she could check clay without sounding patronizing and had chemistry with him and actual nice, romantic history. she could have been his second cop and they could have reconnected and become a couple and... we could’ve had it all, rolling in the deeeppp.
it’s like with ani, the show wanted to kill two birds with one stone but they missed them both and i think the backlash on her character says it all. i’d just like to remind everyone to give the actress who plays ani respect and courtesy because it’s not her fault.
- was it just me, or does it seem like the tape club has learned nothing from what they went through? they’re still keeping secrets and trying to hide shit and keep it all inside and i’m like..... but.... this behavior is what got ya’ll fucked up in the first place? and i totally understand it’s about protection and whatever but.... it also feels like an excuse to not be held accountable for wrong doing. like, alex killed bryce. although he had all the reasons to do it and i’m glad he’s dead, he killed someone fam. that’s not okay. and his dad is wrapped up and it’s just... i just... i dont know. then, there was the whole “let’s not tell on tyler so he doesn’t go to jail” thing and i have mixed feelings about that. i think they should’ve turned him in and got clay’s mom to rep him for rehabilitation and therapy instead of a jail sentence. they’re hiding the guns and trying to trust tyler and luckily that worked, but how long? what if someone fucks with him again and it’s too much for them to help him with?
- speaking of help, clay needs it. oh my god, does that boy need it. they were so focused on getting tyler professional help but, clay’s out here putting guns to his head and having night terrors. he needs therapy more than anyone. honestly, what i would have liked to see, wayyy back in s2, is as soon as justin saw that, he wouldve went to clay’s parents and got him back on his meds and seeing a counselor. he’s been through so much trauma and guilt and he’s tired of his own fucking hero complex. it’s enough man.
- they tried to have their cake and eat it too when it came to clay stopping tyler from shooting up the school. they tried to be like, clay shouldn’t have done that but oh, he was so brave and what a great guy he is for doing that. no, that doesn’t work. clay should not have confronted tyler in that situation. period.
- zach was disappointing because i agreed wholeheartedly when he said that they should have called the cops but... he didn’t. he was blaming them for letting tyler go free but he was too. damn, zach.
- it’s like they give clay a new lackey every season and.... ok, i guess.
- i also thought it was kind of weird that after everything they’ve been through, they still walk on eggshells with each other? like i guess because now we’re dealing with murder but... i would think they would trust and care for each other a lot more than to accuse each other and spy and interrogate and not just simply ask... like... this season made me not understand the tape club’s relationship. like are they friends? allies? allies trying to be friends? friends out of necessity? do they know?
- bryce does not deserve to be humanized. that’s all.
- monty does not deserve to be humanized. that’s all. also, it’s so disappointingly predictable that he’s closeted.
- the new characters (ani, caleb, chloe, winston, cyrus ) i still don’t care about. plot devices, all.
i may edit and retract some things, should i decide to watch all the way but i’m tired.

The Villian Speaks
I wish it could just be very easy to just grow for better, when I learn to let things go, just like the way my mind would have changed. And when I look at my past and where we’ve been through and ther will be completely no aching at all. How the story became an end and how we fell apart after 2 years and months of commitment.Wish I could just feel nothing when you were still there, keep talking about me in some ways with other people, maybe with your friends, maybe with your mom, maybe with your new girl, maybe with your new wife, maybe on internet, as a survivor, as a soldier after the brutal war, as a victim of bad evil torturing camp. All bad things you like to say about me and how many bad time you counted.I’ve nothing left to say but just accept the fact that no matter how much I tried and how much I cared and how much I proved myself, still in your recognition, in your mind I’m always a bad woman who suffered you for years and kind of destroy your ideal of perfect relationship you drawed for a girl like me that you met, to be that so much perfect and seemed control.I’m just so sorry if all those years, I never been a greatest girl for you and by that as always I’ll accept all blame you wanted to give me and all bad labels you wanted to put in on me if that really makes you such a great guy and happy because you feel like a “Big man” in this relationship. Without me calling you out for your prejudice attitude toward me, the way you see me and the way you think of me. And it’s okay. I’m not going to write anything here to make me look like an angel but just here becuase I wish I could just choose a good real life ending after we’d been apart for months.I’ll let you tell whatever you want with people in your life or internet about me, I’ll let you play a good charactor with stories until the end and I’ll play a bad charactor if that makes you feel happier and better above than me. Because I’ve leaned how you brag about you exes and you seemed so cool with it, so I think I’ll be your topic to tell people for a couple years from now or the rest of your life and you’ve got my permission here, so tell “Stories” whatever you wanted. Because I want you to be happy after all. No worries about me at all. I’m getting used to be labeled as bad people.I will try to learn to forgive your friend, the one who’s been messing with my truth issues then betrayed in some serious level by twisting my words and everything just to support your argument. And pointed her finger at me to be a really ideal “Red flagged girlfriend” so she will feel like she did a great job on protecting you and claimed that a decent “platonic relationship” she has for you for years. She told me she got austism anyway but wow she’s so powerful to you when she said things and you completely believed her over me, the one, me, who you knew better than how she knew me.I will try if that possible to be frineded and remian friend with you because you wanted it, becaues you said “You’re a part of my life” and that sounds so bitter sweet when you know you just let me go and in past by gave me conditions for our relationship like, for me and my issues, didn’t deserve to loved and a relationship unless I have to work out so you will give me an conditional love to me as you said “nothing is for free” So if I don’t work, no love for me.I will forgive you and your manipulative behavior and kind of narcissistic personality you have, the way you used your “gown man and mature” to control the way I think just because I’m 17 years younger than you and young and gave you the power to influnce my life. Now I’m 29 and I don’t feel 20s anymore but just old 60 years old mentally, sad, hopeless with emotional exhaustion. Now I can’t feel fun at all to people around my age because I tended to have the perspective like 40 years old which I had no choice but just less making mistakes or almost no mistake and see and cope my problems and react to it professionally like you did.I wish you well as I wish I could just forgive all of these stuff, while you’re moving to future and still got my bad image for the rest of your life while we also had countless good times together which you never talked about it and appreciated it in our relationship and only focusing on counting bad times to use it to argue with me over and over again. No worries after all, I will still take all blame and be your “villian for life long, because there are too many angels there in your side already.”

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power S01E09 - No Princess Left Behind
Tumblr media
Last episode ended with a literal cliffhanger, Adora completely beaten in every aspect by Catra, no sword or friends left. I'm still figuring out the pacing of this show so I'm curious if this is the start of the ending arc for the season or if it'll be resolved sooner rather than later to leave space for something else.
There's no way getting beaten so badly by Catra doesn't affect Adora's rather shaky self-esteem, especially if she believes being She-Ra would have won that fight. Is that going to be a factor for this episode? It feels like it could be something more long term.
I wasn't sure if they were going back to Bright Moon or start directly from where it ended but the title really makes it sound like the Princess Alliance will be a thing this episode. Is the title about rescuing Glimmer or about acknowledging Adora as one of them? I have no idea so let's do this!
Tumblr media
So, what is Shadow Weaver doing all the time with that Rune Stone? Re-charging the stone or herself?
Tumblr media
Oh, so they _are_ going to go to Bright Moon. Huh. That means that Adora has had time to mope around instead of jumping straight to action.
Tumblr media
oh nooooo
Now I'm wondering if Shadow Weaver was sapping Glimmer's powers.
Tumblr media
Glimmer had been doing so well convincing Angella to let her do her own thing and now all that progress is probably lost.
Tumblr media
Another direct hit to Adora's "She-Ra is the one that matters" thing.
Tumblr media
Awwwwww
Tumblr media
So, how's Kyle going to get owned this episode
Tumblr media
Bow's good boy levels are off the charts. Being nice to _Kyle_?
Tumblr media
OH MY GOD I WANT THOSE
Tumblr media
This is too cute for an episode about a rescue mission
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That transition was great. Poor Mermista, her personality is always going to be a magnet for things like this.
Tumblr media
Mermista is probably going to kill someone before this episode ends. And I'm not sure that someone is going to be from the horde or Adora for coming up with this plan.
Tumblr media
Entrapta is going to end up joining The Horde just to fix their stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is where Adora learns that Sea Hawk doesn't know how to count.
Tumblr media
Every episode she appears the less I can believe she's supposed to be in her mid-twenties.
Tumblr media
attention span of a puppy
Tumblr media
...this is just funny enough that I think it could work. Especially with Scorpia.
Tumblr media
My face exactly.
Now I'm not sure if Scorpia believed him or if she's shrewd enough to go along with Sea Hawk's dumb excuse so she can get him easily to a cell.
Tumblr media
I like how this episode starts like a typical Heist plot but it actually it's about how while they care, none of the princesses really know each other enough to work well. It'll probably be a good comparison point for a future episode where they are able to work and manage their strengths and weaknesses properly.
Tumblr media
Mermista looks like she's already having PTSD flashbacks of the sewer.
Tumblr media
"don't talk to me or my son ever again"
Tumblr media
Well, this is dark.
Tumblr media
Still a great manipulative villain.
Tumblr media
Yeah, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that maybe Scorpia was planning something.
Tumblr media
Wow.
Tumblr media
Entrapta is being a prime example of an inhuman princess sound right there
Tumblr media
...one more victim falls to Bow's good boy charms.
Tumblr media
Wow, he's quick to give up.
Tumblr media
I hope he gets dragged.
Tumblr media
Ooh, interesting. But last time I thought these guys were going to do something interesting Catra ended up getting promoted and they fell to random mook status. So... I don't know if this is actually going to matter?
Tumblr media
So, aren't Bow and Kyle in this same tower and should be seeing all of this?
Tumblr media
Adora at least still seems to care about her old friends, that's something.
Tumblr media
Ah, the rarely seen limits of Bow's patience.
Tumblr media
I'm going to laugh my ass off if Kyle ends up getting knocked out and this starts his four season-long quest for revenge on Bow and company.
Tumblr media
Oh. That really got through her enthusiasm. Is it because she doesn't want to confront Shadow Weaver emotionally or because she's scared to face her without the sword?
Tumblr media
When I say things like "the animation is really simple" I mean things like this weeeird walk cycle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was going to write "how long before Catra ends up killing Shadow Weaver" but that feels wrong. She wants to be acknowledged by Shadow Weaver but is placing most of the blame on Adora instead of you know, the abusive mother figure.
Tumblr media
She can do _THAT_?
This opens one major question, has she done this before? How young was Adora when Shadow Weaver found her? Were the images Adora sees when she's having a vision blocked memories?
Tumblr media
title drop~ but with four minutes left it really feels like either someone will be left behind or maybe it'll have another cliffhanger ending.
Tumblr media
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen.
Tumblr media
There's no way they are killing a princess (so early) but damn.
Tumblr media
They are finally noticing the the weight of what they were doing and the risks involved.
Tumblr media
That's a really cool visual. It's really dumb to bring the sword to Adora if she wants to fight but still really cool.
Tumblr media
" or anything ...baka"
It looks like I was wrong again, she isn't placing the blame on Adora this time. I guess Shadow Weaver stealing her credit and then discarding her like she was useless was enough to overcome her anger and help Adora. I _love_ this, Catra gets more and more complex and interesting.
Tumblr media
You're on netflix, you can say she's dead.
Tumblr media
That was... an interesting episode.
I'm still not sure how I feel about the mood swerves this show tends to have, especially in an episode like this which has some really funny moments but also torture and the possible death of a princess? At 22 minutes the episodes are _just_ long enough that the whiplash is manageable but still.
Other than that, a _lot_ happened.
* I _really_ though they were going to jump straight from the Princess Prom to this episode, I was hoping to see Netossa and Spinerella in action.
* Shadow Weaver insists in prioritizing Adora over Catra which at this point it's starting to hint at something deeper than the obvious "I like Adora better" motivation. I could believe that was all her character was if she ended up becoming more practical over time, especially after Catra's flawless victory last episode. So, _why?_
* That Shadow Weaver can erase memories also feels very important. I'm wondering if it's all connected. Light Spinner finding a young-ish Adora but not a literal baby and realizing the power she could have, erasing her memories and going to the horde? Hm.
* Catra gets more and more interesting every time she appears. She undid everything she achieved last episode even though she was in the perfect position to capture them back. Was it just because she wanted payback for the way Shadow Weaver treated her?
* I refuse to believe Entrapta is dead. It feels weird to kill a character so early, especially someone so fun and full of possibility due to her personality. I feel it's more probable she's going to get recruited by the Horde or they are going to find her alive but helping out with a "wait, these guys are the horde???"
* I have no idea what to believe about Kyle and Lonnie. They have a lot of potential since they were also friends of Adora and obviously have their own issues about the situation but so far the show seems to be treating them like Team Rocket knockoffs. I do hope Kyle's friendship with Bow comes up again though.
* Glimmer's punch of friendship was amazing. And now she can't teleport which seems like a good plot for next episode. How much is Queen "helicopter parent" Angella going to annoy Glimmer?
* I keep writing about Adora's complex about She-Ra but I'm not sure if I'm seeing things that aren't there or they are saving them aaall up for a future episode. That she gave herself up so easily may be a hint of her low self-esteem _or_ maybe she was just confident enough she'd be able to escape afterwards.
* The princesses are still mostly a trait made human but even then they are still very fun so I can't complain.
That's all for now, until next time!

I don't want to get all vent-y on here but I just kinda had a "come to jesus" moment of realization
TW: psychological abuse
Thankfully, someone called me out for victim blaming Christine in regard to what happened in the lair with Erik (the whole mask incident). It made me realize that my abuser/abusive relationship affected me more than I realized.
I realize how much I relate to Christine's situation about 2-8 months ago. He had me trapped, I thought I could out manipulate him but he always came back, pulling my strings to do what he wanted. As a result, I have "lost" (I say "lost" because they don't hate me, we just drifted apart) most of my friends. They all warned me, but I saw something in him, and honestly I still do.
I only see my well-meaning little brother, the one who I spent Halloween with, the guy I gave his first kiss, the one who let me fanboy over all the sights on my trip to NYC.
But what everyone else sees is the one who broke our no self harm pact 3 times. The one who I spent most of my homecoming consoling instead of dancing with my girlfriend at the time. The person who lied to me about having a terrible home life, about rape and abuse, playing off of my own trauma for my sympathy. The one who lied to me about overdosing.
The one who I found trying to hang himself in the bathroom, kissing me (even though I was taken) and telling me to go back to class. *I* was the one who had to calm him down and take him to my dad's classroom, since he wouldn't go to the counselor or the office. I was frantically texting my dad about the situation, who had to call the office.
I remember one situation where, after I'd told the counselor he overdosed on nutmeg (which was a lie), he walked passed me in the hallway, I was clenching my boyfriend's hand tight, and I could just see the fury in his eyes.
I was scared. He said he would never hurt me, but after play fighting, I know he could restrain me if he wanted to. It was awful, but for some reason I still love him.
I've had to call 911 on him twice. Once he was actually bleeding from slashed wrists, the other time he was sitting in the car with his parents, he was grounded for that.
Now we come to today, he just recently moved. Closer to my house, but to the next school over (I go to school in the town next to mine). He's still grounded, only occasionally stealing his sister's phone to message me over Instagram. He transferred to the school in the town I live in, which I went to for 9 years. So, I know an awful lot of people there, lots of friends, and soon, my little sister.
And if he messes with any of them, there's going to be hell to pay.
This is for all the relationships that were tainted because I loved you. This is for all the tears I've cried because of you. This is for the abuse I suffered at your hand, not even my boyfriend at the time could convince me to stop talking to you because I believed somewhere deep down you're a good person.
This is for the times you tried to slide your hands up my thighs, the times our mutual friend saved me from your advances, the times I shrugged off your touch. And most of all, the time that without my consent you touched me that way, at school, in the guidance counselor's office when she stepped out of the room. I didn't want your hands down my pants but there we were and I couldn't stop you without bringing attention to an adult, which would get me in trouble too.
Fuck you.
Love,
Your big brother forever and you can't change that even if you tried,
Erik.
(wow that was actually very therapeutic)

thoughts on skamit season 2
(warning: this is long af and a little messy!!) 👇
(warning #2: I do make comparisons to the og; not everything I have to say is sunshine and smiles but I DO have a lot of praise to give as well: if you only want to read that just skip the first part 💛)
Things that made me go ???
Niccolò playing the piano. This just ended up being more disappointing than anything. Why introduce something so unique and special only to never mention it again? This could have easily been the passe på meg scene.
WHICH while we are on the subject, why was there NO PASSE PÅ MEG SCENE?! I do not understand this at all, unless the point of the clip flew right over Ludo’s head. (When did Niccolò notice Martino?? Why did he follow him into the radio booth?? Why did you deprive us of this information Ludovicoooooo)
Oh and: Ludovico Bessegato — I do not trust you and I think you’re a dick but also you’re kind of brilliant. I don’t even know what to think of him, tbh. Ok for real: I’m going to talk about the end of episode 2 for a second and more specifically, his reaction to the responses. Playing the victim? Deleting his Instagram? Not apologizing? He acted like a straight up child, and if he didn’t do that, I think I’d see him in a much brighter light. But instead, we got a glimpse of the person he really is and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture. (I am not the kind of person to see things in black and white and I’m also not the kind of person to base my opinion of others on one act — which is why I’m so torn on him. However, helping to develop Martino’s story and making creative choices I could praise forever doesn’t make up for this particular action and it also doesn’t make him a good person.)
AND YET — between all of the brilliant direction choices he DID make... why was the lighting so bad? This is not me being like ~wAh I WaNnA SeE tHeM KisS bEtTeR~ I just want to... see their expressions?? I keep reading in interviews how emotionally tolling the fight scene between the boys was and,,, I can hear it in their voices but damn I wish I could have seen their faces. Would have been nice.
Also: one directing choice I also didn’t quite understand was the lack of focus on Martino’s face in some scenes? Granted, I don’t expect the camera to be on him ALWAYS but there were some key scenes that just didn’t focus on his face at all when I thought it should: in the first episode when the boys are outside and Marti first notices Nico, Marti tells Luca he doesn’t want to hear his nasty clitoris story, to which Gio turns to Marti and tells Luca not to listen to him. And then... did that hurt Marti? Did he laugh? Guess we’ll never know because the camera just ignored him. Gio is his best friend and his opinion matters a lot to Martino, so why didn’t we get to see his expression? He’s the only member of the boy squad not wanting to listen to Luca’s story and he gets shut down. Does he care...? Also: the cabin scene in the morning. Marti introduces Nico and then.... we never get his reaction to the boys sleeping on the floor, to Nico inviting them to breakfast, to Luca hugging Nico... the camera literally forgets his existence after Nico meets the boys. These are just two examples off the top of my head but I know as I watched there were more.
The dialog choices regarding when they did and didn’t follow or deviate from the og. I’ll get more into the characters in the next section but it’s no secret that Martino and Niccolò are not Isak and Even and therefore, when the dialog was close to or a carbon copy of the og, it felt kind of forced into their mouths and rather rushed. My personal least favorite line they kept was the whole “your mom pays me” gag between Marti and Nico in the kitchen of the last clip. Just seems... very out of character for them (given the fact that Nico just got done being in a rather manipulative and controlling [she’s always managed to put me on the spot, to twist things, to make me believe everything she wanted me to believe. <— his own words!!!] relationship). When Marti and Niccolò had their own original banter (some notable examples include chatting about the radio [did you have something better to do?], before the pool kiss [are you dumb, are you stupid?], their entire talk in bed in 5.1, and “studying” together [yeah, that’s the idea]) it really really shined and, of course, felt totally in character. I love the choice to make Marti and Nico so different than Isak and Even (again I’ll get to that in more detail soon) but within that choice, the dialog needs to adapt to fit them and I feel like they either nailed it or totally missed the mark.
HOWEVER — there was one exception to this: I loved loved loved loved loved the coming out scene between Marti and Gio, despite it being almost word for word. I’d go as far to say I liked it more than the one in the og for several reasons: 1. Fede’s acting holy shit. (While this situation always has a lot at stake, the stakes felt very high for Martino here. I could feel how nervous he was not just to reveal a part of himself he’d been keeping hidden for so long, but how nervous he was to potentially lose his friend. It made my heart race!) That little swallow he did? God. I could feel the nerves. 2. Their surroundings and actions were not random. Marti invited Gio to play FIFA for a reason! It’s basically a ritual for them at this point and a very comfortable setting. Marti choosing this as his comfy place to come out to Gio reinforces the idea that he still likes “dude things” and that Marti is still the same guy Gio has played the last 100+ games with. 3. The! Cheering! Of! The! Crowd! In! The! Video! Game! After! Marti! Says! ‘It’s not a girl’!!!!!!!!!! POETIC CINEMAAAA. All in all, again, despite the dialog being just about the same, this scene still felt very in character for both Marti and Gio and was executed flawlessly. A+
The social media was good content wise but that didn’t make up for the inconsistency. Part of the appeal of SKAM and the remakes are how it brings viewers into the deeply personal lives of the characters. We read their text messages for god’s sake — that is so personal! Social media, yes, does make way for some good character development (catch me never being over the selfie of the boys in Bracciano) but mainly, it just humanizes the characters. Teenagers, mind you! Show me a teenager not glued to their phone. I don’t believe for one second Silvia didn’t have like, 7 Instagram stories every day. (Not that I expect that but at least one social post from one of the characters every day would have been MUCH more realistic.) (I’m not even going to get into how the skamit team just... uh, forgot the password to Marti’s original Instagram...? Is that even what happened? Why did they make him a new one lmfao. So messy.)
Things that made me go !!!
The change of characteristics and dynamic as a whole between Martino and Niccolò. A.k.a. the approach to the mood of the story was a genius idea and a brilliant way to “remake” the season. I loved how comfortable they fell into each other — never hesitant or afraid or even nervous. They genuinely enjoy each other’s company and immediately I could tell why they were so drawn to each other. Some people complained about this “lack of tension” but in the end, their dynamic was so important to lead up to La Grotta and make their story theirs: Nico chose Marti and Marti chose Nico. There was no saving each other — that’s Isak’s and Even’s thing!! That works for them and this works for Marti and Nico. Honestly, Isak and Even in every universe deserve something unique to guide their story to the same conclusion, and I’m thankful SKAM Italia did what they did with the characters to make this happen in their own way.
The contrabbandieri and focus on Marti’s friendships as an equally important part of his character as his relationship with Niccolò. All other squads are now held to the standard of the Italian boy squad because!! Wow. Such great chemistry between them all. I truly believe that they are all equally friends within the group as well as individually? Like, of course Marti and Gio have this special ~bond~ but I never got the feeling that if Luca and Marti or Elia and Marti hung out one-on-one it would be awkward. They are all so supportive of each other and while I hate the way they generally treated women, the way they treated each other is peak friendship: affectionate, honest, silly, I could go on forever; and I could watch them grilling coffee/dancing in a kitchen/eating disgusting pizza crusts/wrapping ties around their heads/sucking at table football forever.
On this note, I would also like to say that the inclusion of Niccolò into the boy squad right away in Bracciano was the content we deserved. I loved how this wasn’t random or fan service, either — Nico’s loneliness wasn’t ignored; it’s no secret he’s at a new school with no friends, probably being bullied or at least talked about behind his back by his classmate Marco Covitti, and recently broken up with his girlfriend he feels manipulated by. He needs friends right now and the fact that Marti’s friends are becoming his friends is so wholesome and important. Love love love this.
The introduction and inclusion of Martino’s mom. I thought their relationship was very realistic and instead of being like “oh, in the og Isak moved out so Marti needs to as well...” the skamit team was just like, no. That’s not realistic for a teenager in Italy so we’re just going to have to change some stuff. AND it gave some resolution to Marti and his mom (something I wish we got a little more of in the og) without sugar coating it. There are still problems, of course, but now Marti is stronger and wiser and more empathetic. Things are going to get better but he knows that not everything will always be good. Also, his mom needs someone?? I don’t blame Isak at all for getting out (and let’s be real his mom seemed like maybe she had some more intense issues) but I love the fact that Marti and his mom are working on it.
The last men on earth story / the symbolism of the giraffe and how those details directly intertwined to fit the difficulties and fears in the change of Nico’s mental illness. Once Maddalena said borderline personality disorder I did exactly what Dr. Spera said not to do and went right to google. But really it was only after some lovely people on here with bpd stepped forward to share their stories and enlighten us that I truly understood (to the best of my abilities) the nuances of Nico and his actions. Looking back, all of the details that seemed to change from the og just for drama or angst’s sake (like Nico completely ghosting Marti for example) were actually there for a reason and I think when Ludovico told us “you think you know what’s going to happen but really you have no idea” he was talking about this. Giving Nico’s character a different mental illness did a few positive things for the story: 1) it opened up all of the possibilities for beautiful new symbolism which the skamit team executed flawlessly. This, in turn, gave Marti and Nico their own things and their own story instead of copying the idea of parallel universes and the Romeo and Juliet storyline. 2) It shed awareness for an underrepresented and highly stigmatized mental illness. By showing us Nico the character (who is a lovely, lovely character: silly, talented, extremely thoughtful, loving) before showing us his mental illness, we see him as a human first. So important! Often characters in media with mental illnesses are reduced to their illness and can often fall into the ‘loveable asshole’ trope. We learn to love Nico right alongside Marti first — and while this is all the og’s brilliant idea, we now have this same story for a different mental illness and that’s beautiful.
The music! This was like, Marti’s soundtrack. We even get him explicitly saying he likes “indie and electronic” music — it adds a level of depth into his perspective as if he picked the soundtrack himself. I love this because there is no SKAM Italia music mood, it’s all based on the characters and their POV. (Skam season 3 did this as well, obviously, but more of a mix between Isak and Even with Romeo and Juliet thrown in there as well.)
The cinematography. I think this one goes without saying haha. While less “real” than the og, I’m a sucker for aesthetics and symbolism. And yes yes yes the wide shot in the pool and the open shots of Rome are beautiful BUT: the cinematography in skamit did more than make it beautiful. It helped tell the story. One perfect moment (in my opinion) that beautifully emphasizes this is when Martino and Niccolò are walking around in Milan without a single other person in sight. Was that realistic? No. Did that symbolize the last men on earth reference and heighten the audience’s empathy into Niccolò’s dissociative state? Absolutely.
This one is rather vague but the major (and not so major) changes — everything from swapping kosegruppa and biology class with the radio group to the scene where Martino meets Filippo. Every change was brilliant and is 100% where skamit shined. I’m actually most critical about the things they kept the same, and if skamit ever wanted to create their own original season beyond the 4, I have a lot of faith they’d write a good one. 💛

Greg vs Alleged Classmate Part 6: Abuse
So this is the final part of the video starts with a secret child of Greg but mostly involved Greg talking about his relationship with Lainey. This was a tough one to get through and I’m sorry if it isn’t my most coherent one. I didn’t edit this one that much and Greg rambled a lot but I couldn’t go back and re-read most of my work. I’m sorry
It’s not creepy to mention kids Greg, holy shit
Ok, so this needs to be said. If I say my aunt has 5 kids, that isn’t talking about the kids, it’s talking about the aunt. If I say my aunt’s kids are all in school, that’s talking about the kids but it’s vague and just mildly descriptive. If I say “my aunt’s eldest female child whose name is Sansa Stark married Tyrion Lannister at age 14″, THAT is getting creepy in terms of how much I’m talking about the child who probably should remain more anonymous than that. We got that? Good, Greg still doesn’t so he wastes my time talking about how creepy it is to say he has a secret kid for the kid’s sake despite nothing actually being told about the kid and then skips the video. He misses a lot, and hilariously, it wasn’t even about the kid still
What Greg missed in the full minute he skips
It’s second-hand information again but M trusts the source
Lainey doesn’t know
He’s gone from small annoyances which have now blown up into very large, unmanaged problems since high school. These issues now define him as a person
“I don’t have any chemistry with Lainey???”
Nope, you didn’t then and you don’t now
Apparently, he defines chemistry with kissing on camera. His proof of chemistry is that with Skye they never kissed on camera but with Lainey he does. Also he again forgets this interview is old because he says how they both kiss in her videos. Also is claiming M said him and Skye were passionate which isn’t the case, just that Greg flip-flopped a lot and abused her then left her out to dry.
Yay, another gay joke. Even dressed as a boy, kissing Lainey, if anything, proves how little you love them because you show no passion in the kiss, push her away, belittle her in your videos, shit on her, scare her, etc. Your videos prove you don’t love her. It is heartbreaking even if you don’t like Lainey.
Also, years don’t count when it’s abusive, it just shows how long you’ve groomed and manipulated her Greg. Also, THIS INTERVIEW IS 3 YEARS OLD
And now I’d say Lainey does know you, she’s just so stuck on you. I don’t need to know the victim to hate the abuser, I don’t have to know the victim to feel sympathy for them. I don’t need to know Skye, I don’t need to know Shiloh, I don’t need to know Adrienne, I don’t need to know Billie, I don’t need to know Lainey, I don’t need to know Sarah, I don’t need to know Maya, I don’t need to know Madison. They’re all women you’ve used and abused. The last three you did so through Lainey
Billie blame
If we want to see Lainey be abused by someone we should watch “My Side of the Story” by Lainey. But the main shitty person there isn’t Greg apparently, it’s Billie for how she responded to what they did to her and putting all the blame on her when at most it was half. With Greg pulling all the strings
And Greg is claiming she basically told Lainey to kill herself using vague imagery using a hateful and direct way because he needs to make sure we can’t turn around and showcase the many times Greg has told someone to kill themselves.
So Billie is the horrible, violent, abusive person while Greg stood by his spouse, If by “stand by” he means standing in front of his pregnant spouse and signing his two kids to her because he’s leaving her for Billie then yes, he did “stand by” her. The only reason he’s “still here” is because Billie didn’t take him back
Holy manipulation of a situation Batman!
Also, this interview is pre-Billie so this argument makes even less sense
ALSO, he very specifically describes abuse as violent. I want him to try and refute his actual abuse which is much quieter than that. Especially abuse they’re talking about which is pre-Billie, but I’m glad to know anytime he thinks of a time he was shitty, he at least thinks of the time he cheated on Lainey and told her to deal with it then told her he was leaving and didn’t give to shits about her, their son, and their unborn child while also thinking he wasn’t that bad
I don’t want to listen to this: skips the good stuff and makes out like M is creepy for thinking of Greg’s child-filled audience
He skips:
M predicting what Greg was going to do if he ever responded (pretend it’s all a lie)
His millions of audience members will believe him. Thankfully, no. This video has 20k views and only 300 good comments (with some bad ones he hasn’t deleted yet). Likes/dislikes turned off
“You know this is just a grand version of what he would do back in high school. As opposed to saying “I have problems, I did some messed up things” ; he’ll say “I don't have problems, I don’t do messed up things. None of this is true“ --> sounds about right
“Watching him so easily be all right with making himself a role model to hundreds of thousands of children out there, teenagers are frankly still children“ ----> Greg skips here and hears “thousands of children” before going “yuck” and skipping, building a retoric that M is a creepy pedo as per usual
“Some of these kids, my son and my daughter, are going to be the same age as these kids that watch him right now one day.. and it breaks my heart that a lot of these kids are gonna sit there and think ‘that is how I should be in life. I should be someone that judges other people, whom I don’t know, for things that aren’t any of my business.’“ ---> I wish Greg had responded to this
“How could I have changed since high school?” also “Cycle of abuse? What’s that?”
Greg states he’s confused because in high school he had to rely on his mom and now he controls others
People change, though you still act as if the government is going to act like your mom and not ever punish you for doing things wrong
People who experience abuse tend to inflict it on other. You admit your mom was abusive Greg, these two stages in your life link together quite well
My spouse is a psych major, how can she be abused?
Simple:
“good thing Greg doesn’t hit me”
“Oh, it’s different when he does it”
“but he wouldn’t be nice if he hated me”
“we have kids”
“he kisses me on camera” (Like Jaclyn)
“he came back to me after he left”
Also, not all psych degrees cover abuse and Lainey only has her bachelor's degree. Or at least as in-depth as Greg seems to think. It’s possible to miss things in your own life. That’s why therapists have their own therapists, that’s why doctors can’t prescribe things for themselves or family. Not to mention you’d already sunk your claws into your obsessed fan before she ever read a psych book. When you’re gaslit and abused, something as simple as logic or googling “am I in an abusive relationship” does not register to you as a red flag. The latter happened to me, I googled it at least once every six months, ticked all the red flags, then said no, doesn’t apply here. But it did, and it does the moment you had to google that phrase. Lainey went through the motions in a video, she came up with the same bullshit I did and elected to ignore the questions even she couldn’t pretend didn’t apply as many do. People who are abused don’t tend to know they’re abused until it’s too late. If we knew we’d have left long before being raped or beaten by our “loving” partners. As I’ve said before, fuck you Greg
“I paid for their school”
Irrelevant, but glad to know you hold it over her head. Also glad you decided to put in how much money it was in your statement.
Also, her father was paying her tuition and board, as well as giving her an allowance. All while she was secretly married to you. You simply wasted your own and his money. Yeah, her father had every right to threaten to pull her college fund, she wasn’t owed it, and it was a desperate attempt to get his essentially kidnapped daughter to come home from the adult man who had preyed on her and took her away as his own.
His argument here is, “deflection to her dad without context”, “look, I saved her”, and finally “I gave her her college education of 50k, this isn’t abuse because I gave her this massive gift that saved her life”. Wow, if that isn’t a nice abuse tactic...
“You guys aren’t psych majors, she is”
See the point of her being a psych major above plus the fact that experience helps identify it, almost all your former partners calling you abusive (“we get it, Greg, you like hurting young girls”), you filling all the checkboxes for abuse, outsider perspective, former friends calling you abusive, Social Fucking Repose identifying your abuse (I’d say he’s an expert in that field), and anyone who is a decent person can identify shit when they smell it
Also Lainey doesn’t have more psychology experience than all of us combined, she got a bachelor’s in psych degree online many years ago, never worked in the field or as a co-op student as far as I’m aware, never got her master’s, and her intention was to be a children’s social worker. She’s as qualified to talk about abuse as Kati Fuckface Morton is to talk about diagnosing and treating personality disorders as a marriage counsellor. Lainey should work for BetterHelp, at least she does have one degree
Concluding statements on abuse by Greg
And so we end with Greg attempting to gaslight the audience by calling us the crazy ones who are actually abusing Lainey by invalidating her feelings and the misunderstanding the cycle of abuse. Things Greg is gaslighting us as doing:
We’re acting like Lainey is stupid
That Lainey can’t think for herself
We’re belittling Lainey
We’re acting superior to Lainey
We’re attacking her intelligence and calling her nothing like a blob of goo on the pavement, essentially a vegetable
(See Lainey’s “Hater Listens to 21 Pilots” and see if this checks any of Greg’s behaviours on screen)
Greg now describes the cycle of abuse as the victim replicating their abusive dynamic. Sometimes it results in people running from one abusive relationship to another, other times it results in the victim never wanting to be a victim again and wanting power so they then become the next abuser. Greg himself calls himself the dom of his relationship, the “father figure” or “guider”. Also notes he pays for the bills in most relationships which is a typical sign of a power imbalance. We see two iterations with this with Greg, Greg being abused by his mom. She tried kicking him out before becoming an adult, yelled at him when he cried, beat him with a fire extinguisher, etc. Now Greg is the abuser, laughing at Lainey when she cries, makes her cry, talks down to her, uses her mercilessly, etc. And now Lainey uses children like Sarah the same way Greg uses and hurts her. Lainey also defends herself with these girls as her shield against Greg.
You kept your finances separate because you didn’t want a Skye situation, Lainey has a degree she cannot use to get a job, Lainey’s youtube was dependent on you and still mostly is. Lainey requires you for all emotional issues she has but yet you will wake up a guest in your house so she can deal with it instead of you.
Food for thought Greg, your mom abused you all your life, yet you always returned to her and tried keeping her happy until now. It’s almost as if you let your abuser get away with things
The video ends before the end of the interview, Greg never addresses the alleged death of two of his dogs

me being (very) brutally honest with the signs
Aries- You’re such a goddamn hothead all the goddamn time. Not everyone likes to be constantly doing something every second of every day. You get angry with people for the smallest and most trivial reasons but god forbid someone take a dig at you. You’re such a hypocrite and it’s annoying as fuck. You act like an edgy teenager that’s constantly throwing a tantrum. You also boss people around and expect everyone to just follow your lead and if they don’t, you get pissed at them for having a mind of their own. You seriously need to take a look at your life and stop seeing everything as a fucking challenge that’s rigged against you. My god, I get tired just being in your presence.
Taurus- You’re a lazy fuck and way too materialistic and possessive. You literally have no desire to do anything because you love to sit on your ass. You take “treat yourself” to a whole new level and not in a healthy way whatsoever. It seems like every chance you get you cause arguments and then you contradict whatever the other person is saying just because you can’t look at anything from a different point of view. Even if you get to the point where you realize you’re in the wrong and the other person is right, you’ll just continue to argue for the sake of arguing and god forbid your ego take even the slightest blow. It’s irritating as shit like you really think you know best when in reality you’re just a stubborn bitch. What a bore.
Gemini- Look, I know you guys get a lot of flak. But take this into consideration...... it’s because most if not all of it is FUCKING TRUE. You have so many different personalities I don’t know which one is even real. You gossip 24/7 and flip-flop between who you talk to and who you talk about. You’re completely unreliable and unpredictable and also clingy as fuck. Seriously, I feel like I can’t get away from you. I just want to go to the bathroom, I don’t need to hear the story right now about how Sarah said that Dylan said that Kimberly found a sock in the dryer that wasn’t hers. Literally no one cares. Another thing that you do is once you get tired of someone, you just throw them away like garbage. (Also Trump is a gemini, and I know you guys can’t control that but like come on. Of course he’s a gemini.)
Cancer- You really need to stop being so whiny or I’m actually going to lose it. Everyone has problems so stop acting like such a victim all the goddamn time. You’re so moody all the time and you act like a small child that needs to have their diaper changed. You also cling onto people as soon as you meet them and cry if someone doesn’t answer your text within 5 fucking minutes. Don’t you have your own life to live? Oh wait, I forgot you spend every second in a dark room and refuse to come outside unless it’s to answer the door because you ordered shitty takeout. You consider changing your clothes adventurous and honestly it’s so boring. Introverted doesn’t even describe you, you’re more like a complete hermit (CRAB. HA!)
Leo- Hey leo, wow, are you actually reading this? I’m kind of shocked because I never thought you’d ever stop looking at yourself in the mirror. Seriously, you’re probably the most vain sign out of all of us. So much so that if someone criticizes you in even the smallest way, you get so offended and act like you’ve been shot in the chest. You think so highly of yourself, and while it’s great to have confidence, you take it to the next level, which is extreme arrogance. You love to have the conversation focused around you. You’re the type of friend that if someone is telling you about their problem or just their day in general, you’ll interrupt them and start talking about yourself and it’s DAMN ANNOYING. How do you still have friends?
Virgo- I’m gonna tell you right now, you’re not as perfect as you think you are. You’re so quick to critique other people that you write them off as not good enough before even getting to know them. You’re the type of person that would tell their friend that they were breathing too loudly. For fucks sake, you’re such an over analyzing pedant it makes me want to slap you in the face with my fucking asymmetrical hand. Your pessimism is damn near blinding, I probably wouldn’t want to hang around you for more than 10 minutes or you’d make me feel self conscious about how I fucking walk or some shit. You can’t take or make a joke. You’re skeptical about everything and you’re completely inflexible. You like to think of yourself as an intellectual but really you’re stuck up, narrow minded and someone I constantly find myself rolling my eyes at.
Libra- You are manipulative as shit. You’ll tell someone they look good without even looking up from your phone. You lie all the time and don’t really give a fuck if you hurt other people’s feelings because you really only look out for yourself. You’re also a huge fucking coward. When your friends need you to have their back and actually be there for them, you run and hide and say, “Oh sorry I just didn’t want to get involved!”. What a lame fucking excuse for ditching your friend in their time of need. You’re also extremely indecisive to the point where it’ll take you 3 hours just to choose where you want to go eat. It’s tiring as fuck. Just MAKE A CHOICE FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE. Have your own fucking opinion. You’re like a goddamn sheep.
Scorpio- Why the FUCK are you so aggressive for no fucking reason? You manipulate people just for the fun of it. You get jealous so easily and usually you don’t even have a reason to be jealous. You just are. It’s pathetic. You like to think that you’re so cool and mysterious but in reality people just see you as a moody and brooding asshole that no one really wants to bother getting to know. I mean, why would they? What’s the point? Every time someone even tries to get close to you, you completely brush them off and act like you don’t care about them because keeping your “mystifying” aura is soo important to you. And if you do let someone in, you treat them like they’re your possession and it’s creepy as hell. You obsess over them and you want to control them. God forbid they hang out with someone that isn’t you and then you resent them for no goddamn reason other than having a life of their own. Do me a favor scorpio and don’t talk to me.
Sagittarius- Honestly if a sag is reading this, you’re just straight up getting a taste of your own medicine. You’re tactless as shit and it makes me not want to be around you, ever. You’re inconsiderate of others and impatient with everyone. If someone isn’t moving up to your standards you will become agitated and aggressive and then you take it out on the person. You constantly need to be doing something else because your attention span lasts about 2 fucking seconds. You act like an 8 year old. You’re also really superficial. You don’t bother getting to know the deeper layers of a person because, like I said, you’re impatient and also just plain lazy. You take people for granted and are careless when handling the feelings of people closest to you. You’re also a really self-obsessed know-it-all. Go climb a fucking tree, sag.
Capricorn- Four words. Lighten. The fuck. Up. You are by far the most power-hungry of all the signs. You take everything so completely seriously that I don’t even know if you understand what “fun” even is. You always have to have two feet on the ground at all times and you can never ever be spontaneous and it’s so fucking dull. You’re conservative and disdainful nature can be so overbearing at times that even your friends need to get away from you. That is, if you have friends. You’re a complete pessimist so who knows if anyone can actually tolerate that. You constantly have to be the most successful person in a room, and you make sure you reach this level of success through abusive and controlling behavior towards the people around you. Your selfishness grosses me out.
Aquarius- I asked you what time it was. I didn’t ask you if I was afraid of time passing or the fact that it’s a manmade construct. For fucks sake, just shut the fuck up about this deep shit for once. I don’t want to contemplate how large the universe really is at fuckin 8:30 am on a Monday. You’re rebellious even when it doesn’t matter and honestly all it does is piss people off. You’re constantly trying to deviate from the norm that you make the same fucking mistakes that other people already made, but you don’t fucking learn from other people’s mistakes because you always have to go your own way. Maybe listen to other people for once? You’re the most detached sign out of all of them and you hurt people by acting aloof all the fucking time but you don’t care because you chalk it up to “this is who I am!!! I need my freedom!!!!”. You need to actually think about how your actions affect people you care about because if you don’t, you’re REALLY gonna end up alone and you won’t be able to do a damn thing about it.
Pisces- You need to stop feeling sorry for yourself all the time and get it through your head that you’re not always the damn victim. You don’t take responsibility for your actions and you always find a way to blame it on someone else because you’re NEVER in the wrong, are you? Poor little pisces. You’re not as innocent as you want everyone to believe. You’re constantly daydreaming and it becomes really annoying when I’m trying to talk to you and you just completely zone out because you love living in your little imaginary world. You’re the WORST at solving your own problems and conflicts because instead of dealing with them you just avoid it all together and end up leaving the mess for someone else to clean up. You’re really nosy- you love to get in other people’s business. But you don’t go to the person directly, you have to be sneaky about it and gather rumors from other people. You’re also very over-sensitive. Out of all the signs, you’re by far the most likely to respond to this post saying how this isn’t true and that I’m just a “big fat meany!!!” and then add a bunch of angry/crying emojis.
(disclaimer: Don’t worry, I don’t really hate your sign (unless you’re a  * * * * * * ... lmao). This was just for fun and I know it’s harsh. Don’t take it too personally. You’re an individual and ultimately you determine who you really are. Except for you, * * * * * * . Fuck you.)

Note
hey why do u hate v?
I knew I was going to get this question again eventually and I guess I can’t put it off a second time so, let’s do this
I’m putting it under a read more for a few reasons. One, it got very long. When I rant I really rant, and I wanted to be thorough because if possible I don’t want to have to discuss this any more after posting this, but knowing this fandom that won’t be possible. Two, while I think it’s safe to assume that most people have played his route already, there may be some who haven’t and there are spoilers in this. Three, there is mention of abuse in this so heads up
All right, so there are quite a few reason why I don’t likeV as a person
He convinced a scared teenager (Saeyoung) to join a reallysketchy intelligence agency that destroyed any chance he might have had athaving a normal life, and also required him to abandon his very vulnerable anddependent brother that he loved more than anything. You can say that V wastrying to protect Seven, but honestly I can’t believe that there wasn’t abetter option here. The whole scene where V is convincing him that this is notonly the right decision but the only one to be made just… it’s honestly socreepy and manipulative and it doesn’t sit well with me
The only reason Seven was okay with leaving Saeran in theend was because V promised to take care of him. Well, V couldn’t be bothered todo his job apparently, because WOW. There are two ways of looking at this
V knew that Saeran was being drugged, brainwashed, abused and manipulated for literal years and did/said nothing about it, which is disgusting
V didn’t know that Saeran was at Mint Eye, whichis better but not by much, because it still proves that V was negligent enoughthat he lost track of where Saeran was for years, despite his promise to Sevento look after him. If V was actually taking his promise to Seven seriously,Rika shouldn’t have been able to do anything without V finding out and puttinga stop to it
I was always inclined to think that the first one was whathappened, and the V route confirms that yeah, V did know that Saeran was atMint Eye. And once again, V says nothing.Seven asks him about Saeran directly at one point, and V lies to his face. That part was so appalling to me I don’t knowhow anyone can just be okay with it. V was not protecting anyone but himself bylying to Seven. He knew that if Seven found out about Saeran, Seven would neverforgive V, and V wouldn’t deserve his forgiveness honestly
Even if it was about protecting Seven, there were stillbetter ways of handling this than lying and covering it all up. Like, how aboutcalling the police and saying “hey, my ex fiancée started a fucking cult, please help”?? What was V’s long-term plan for dealing with Mint Eye exactly??Things did not have to get as fucked up as they ended up being if only V hadsaid something to literally anyone!! Saeran could have been saved years earlierthan he was, and not only Saeran but all of the other people who got suckedinto Mint Eye!!
V’s route is supposedly about him fixing his mistakes, butlike, that wouldn’t have counted for much for me anyway, because there’salready a canon story. V fucked up in the canon story, there’s no fixing itnow. It is what it is, I don’t know why I’m expected to be less mad at himbecause there’s an in-game au now where he makes up for it. And the other thingis, he doesn’t actually make up for any of his mistakes in his route! He keepslying about Rika and the cult until he’s forced to stop, and he keeps lyingabout Saeran throughout the whole thing. He doesn’t even seem to care that muchabout Saeran, he cares more about the girl he’s been talking to for like a weekthan about the abused and vulnerable kid that was left in his care. He says toRika once or twice something like “don’t hurt that boy” (can’t even say his name ffs), but it’s always tacked on as like an afterthought. Everything gets taken care of without V really doing anything so like, what exactly did he fix??
I stopped playing the route after Saeran died on day 10.It upset me so much that, even though I was like two chats away from theending, I couldn’t keep going. I was struggling to get through the route to begin with and Idefinitely should have quit earlier and saved myself a lot time and salt, butSaeran’s death confirmed a big problem that I had with the V route, and itconfirmed that Cheritz was aware of that problem but put the route out anywaybecause fans insisted. V and Saeran’s happy endings are not compatible. Becauseagain, if Seven knew about Saeran he would never forgive V, and therefore Vcould not have his truly happy ending. I see fan art sometimes of post-secretendings au with both V and Saeran happy and alive and in the RFA and um, yeahguys that would never happen. Even if V lived, he would not be able to live inharmony with Saeyoung and Saeran. For V’s happy ending to happen, Saeran has tobe out of the way and Cheritz knew that, and that’s why they had to kill himoff in this route. And I say fuck that, because if I have to choose betweensaving V and saving Saeran I’m always going to pick Saeran without hesitation
So okay, there’s another thing I dislike about V and um. Iknow I’m treading on thin ice here but listen, I really never liked the way Vtreated Rika. Please, do not take this as me defending Rika!  I think both she and V are awful people andmutually unhealthy partners for each other, and I think both of them would havebeen better off if they had never met. Rika ultimately ended up doing worse andI would never say otherwise, but!! this rant is not about Rika it’s about V(and really no one needs it pointed out to them what Rika did wrong) and I’mstill allowed to think that the way V treated Rika was all kinds of fucked up
I don’t like how V treated Rika, because he never treatedher like a person. He treated her like she was this beautiful tragic angel thathe could fix and make into an art piece. He romanticized her suffering and hermental illnesses and basically encouraged her to be her worst. I’m not sayingthat makes what Rika did V’s fault, of course Rika is ultimately to blame for her own terrible actions, butI’m also not going to pretend like I don’t think the way V treated her wasgross and like I don’t think it contributed at all to Rika’s state in the end.He literally says at one point that when he met her he saw her as a blankcanvas that he could paint and make beautiful I mean?? How do talk about aperson that way?? Honestly if anyone ever spoke to me about my mental illnessthe way V spoke to Rika about hers, that would be so poisonous to me and itscares me just imagining it
Again, Rika’s certainly no saint and I hope none of this comes off asme defending her or saying V is to blame for what she did because that’s reallynot what I want to do. But, Rika was not the only thing wrong with theirrelationship. I always bristle at the way people make Rika out to be thishorrible she-devil and V this innocent cinnamon roll because that’s really notwhat was happening there. V did and said some awful thing to her as well. Theyboth brought out the worst in each other and they’re both at fault, to varyingdegrees
Oh yeah, and lying to Rika’s friends that she committedsuicide was really fucked up too, whatever his reasons were for doing so. Noone seems to want to talk about that but um… seriously dude wtf
And yes I understand that V was going through somethingterrible and that he is a victim of Rika’s abuse as well, please don’t @ meabout this. I’m not saying that I don’t feel any sympathy for V at all, or thatI don’t understand him at all. But I’m sorry, I just can’t see it as an excuse. It’s not an excuse. V dragged down multiple people with him and I don’t have tobe okay with that, and I also don’t have to go into my own personal historywith abuse to prove I’m qualified to have this opinion so don’t @ me about thateither, please
So!! All of that is why I hate V as person, but here’s why Iwound up hating him as a character
While I was suspicious of V from the moment I startedplaying (Yoosung Kim was RIGHT he was always right damn it… he was very wrong about Rika but he was so right about V so jot that down), and I later cameto think of him as a bad person, I was completely ambivalent to him as acharacter for a long time. I could never understand why people were so enamoredwith him because as far as I could see he had no discernible personality asidefrom being cryptic and loving Rika. Even after playing his route, I still don’tthink I could give someone a description of his personality that was longerthan like, three sentences. The only time I ever take interest in V is when it’sin relation to other characters, but V on his own just doesn’t interest me atall. I think he’s boring
What got me to hate him as much as I do now, though, ishonestly the fandom itself. I couldn’t stand that unironic “V did nothing wrong”attitude because he did so much wrong!! So much!! And I couldn’t stand thatpointing out anything wrong that V did resulted in huge arguments and peoplecalling you a bad person and I just!!! Ugh why is the fandom like this!! So myambivalence slowly turned to bitterness and spite over time and now here we arewith V being my most hated character in the game. I wouldn’t mind V so much ifpeople were more open to accepting criticism of him. I wouldn’t mind V somuch if people could like him without acting like he’s never done a thing wrong

HOLD IT!
https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/162989658394/friendly-reminder-that-selfish-asshole-jaune-arc
Halt!
I, Knight Of Balance, retired RWDE counter lawyer, have re-entered the fray!
Why?
because of the slander against the innocent Jaune Arc, my friend, @mageknight14, against Miles and Kerry!
case... RE-OPEN!
-Despite getting blackmailed into throwing sap at his friends (if he didn’t, he would be forced to give up his dream) by an asshole, still didn’t throw the sap at his friends and stood up to Cardin. A typical bully arc seen a billion times, speaking of blackmail jaune snuck into beacon which forging and sneaking into places your unqualified for is a crime; and we’re never given a reason. If blake a person who went from heist to literally beacon and several orphans can also get in then why didn’t he just join the academy? There’s virtually no point to him forging documents if blake can literally walk in.
HOLD IT!
First off: The bully arc comment has nothing to with the discussion at hand! this si just slander against Miles Luna And Kerry Shawcross!
Second: It is ever said that forging transcripts for Beacon is a crime! And even if it did, there is NOTHING that counters the argument about the blackmail.
Third: Blake was surprised by the fact that Ozpin knew she was in the White Fang despite the fact that her own FATHER was the former leader, meaning she deliberately hid that fact. Meaning she did in fact at least falsify her transcripts so this argument is invalid.
Didn’t put Pyrrha on a pedestal and treated her like a person and a friend instead of a celebrity. OBJECTION! I’d argue nobody but weiss did that and ene then it was only for her own selfish gain, every other character didn’t even seem to aknowledge her status nor did anyone at the tournament despite being from the four corners of remnant Not one pyrrha fan in the bunch? Suspicious don’t you think? Because they writing didn’t convey her status expect among five characters those being weiss, ozpin, qrow, ironwood and gynda. Nice try MK
HOLD IT!
Pyrrha herself outright admits in Volume 2 Episode 7, as seen here (https://youtu.be/0-f-mGvOba8?t=3m17s) that people in the PAST held her up on a pedestal and Jaune didn’t do it the instant he saw her, ergo he treaded her as a normal person out right. This also means that by meeting her through Jaune, a completely normal guy, they wouldn’t treat her that way!
But!
Soku has directly attacked Miles and Kerry twice now! This is proof that he doesn’t care about the facts and simply interrupting everything as a way to attack them , AKA confirmation bias. I submit two more pieces of evidence that support this (https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/162989670704/barbara-dunkelman-i-just-think-its-a-show-that / https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/162989666784/lindsay-jones-theres-a-lot-of-vibrancy-in-the ). And as we shall see that is the case as we continue!
-Offered Ruby a helping hand when they first met and became her first friend at Beacon. Yes after ruby offered him a helping hand; it’s common for most to extend their hands after they do the same to you; this is a good point.  But nobody gets brownie points for doing something they’re suppose to do in a school where teamwork is a priority.
OBJECTION!
That is not the point of the post! The point of the post is to show Jaune arc is not an asshole, not that he should be rewarded for common things. The mere fact that Jaune acts like a decent human being is proof he is not an asshole!
This is yet again another case fo confirmation bias on Soku’s part!
-Saves said asshole from getting mauled by a Ursa. And said ursa targeted him as well, yes he may have helped but again doing the thing you’re suppose to do in said school doesn’t earn you brownie points,  And in the end it was more of a thing about pride to him. Sad cause that could have been a great character moment.
OBJECTION!
That is a direct lie! As shown in Episode 14 (https://youtu.be/PS9huFMmSoc?t=1m34s) the Ursa outright avoid Jaune to go after Cardin: he was never in danger. And considering how hated Cardin is for his bullying and racism, the same cannot be said of everyone that they would save him. I would argue both Nora and Blake would leave him to fend it off then help him if he were to die. And again, this is not the point of the post, this is yet another example of Soku moving the goalposts to suit his own desires.  And there is no indication that this was a pride thing: In fact, if Jaune were prideful, he’d leave cardin to the Ursa as revenge for ruining his pride.
As evidence by Soku’s last statement, this si yet another attack on the writers, showing more confirmation bias as he lies and willfully misinterupts the scene to suit his narrative.
-Realized how selfishly he was acting during Jaundice and owned up to it and apologized to Pyrrha. That’s actually a good point but need again I bring up you don’t get brownie points for doing something you’re suppose to. Like being a decent human isn’t something you should get pat on the back for you should have the common sense not to be an ass. You could learn from this MK
OBJECTION!
That is the point: jaune is not an asshole. He is a decent human being. What Soku is doing is trying to change the subject in order to achieve a victory!
But since he sees this fit, so shall I: Soku has displayed signs of Psychopathic behavior in calling everyone who disagrees with him a racist, a sexist and a homophobe eve if they are victims of these there things, spreads slander about a person, lies to suit his own needs and has even suicide baited before. If this is a case of morality, then I demand that Soku be judged on these accounts as well!
-Despite being jealous of Neptune, encourages him to be himself and to ask Weiss to dance. He lectures him for not asking weiss out, and this is after constantly creepying on her for several scenes even going as far to say he’d stop being weird if she opened the door and then said  “I lied.” stalking and creeping is a real fucking issuse and using it as a point of humor is in bad taste. Sorry but jaune gets no sympathy from me.
OBJECTION!
From Soku’s pharsing, it would imply that Jaune did the same thing to Weiss but worse so this is manipulative wording. “Creeping” is not a word and Jaune is not shown to have obsessive behavior over Weiss aside from your average love struck teen, especially seeing as he would use possessive tones toward Weiss when the lecture he in facts gives Neptune is over using Weiss and not atking her feelings into account like any friend would. (https://youtu.be/0-f-mGvOba8?t=4m31s) Again, this is a lie.
To expand on the stalking subject as it will come up later, Stalking is defined and determined as such by legal dictionary: “Stalking is a distinctive form of criminal activity composed of a series of actions that taken individually might constitute legal behavior. For example, sending flowers, writing love notes, and waiting for someone outside her place of work are actions that, on their own, are not criminal. When these actions are coupled with an intent to instill fear or injury, however, they may constitute a pattern of behavior that is illegal.“ Since Jaune’s intent was not to instill fear or injury onto Weiss, he was not, in fact, stalking.
Also: Of Soku ahs no sympathy for Jaune. He has psychopathic tendencies: they have no sympathy for anyone aside from themselves.
-Wears a dress (keep in mind that he said he would do so if Pyrrha didn’t get a date to the dance as a JOKE) to cheer up Pyrrha and dances with her. There is no good or bad outcome to this.
OBJECTION!
The post is about Jaune not being an asshole and by going this far to keep a joking promise to Pyrrha to cheer her up shows that he is not an asshole. That is why this is relevant.
-When Pyrrha was feeling down about the Maiden affair, tries his best to understand what is going on and to be encouraging and comforting to her (granted, he didn’t know what was going on and Pyrrha accidentally slams him into a wall, but still). Need I say it again?
What he needs to do is show that jaune is in fact an asshole, which he has yet to do without lying and misinterepting facts.
-Despite Pyrrha slamming him into a wall, still shows up to her and Penny’s tournament round to support her. Well ren and nora ask him too it’s not a matter of akwardness it’s just being a leader; I mean wow jaune showed up what a good person to show up when all the other members of your team also show up?
That’s the point: Jaune is a decent person: that is what the post is arguing. it never said he was exceptional for doing this: just not bad.
After Pyrrha breaks down after accidentally killing Penny and as a result, doesn’t notice a Nevermore about to attack, rushes into the battlefield in order to get her out of the way, with no thought or worry for himself. Again everyone did this as well, doing your job and rescuing a teammate in danger is not something you should get patted on the back for, espeically when several people do the same thing.
Same point here, along with evidence showing he is, in fact, changing the topic at hand to suit his own needs.
-After Cinder’s speech and watching Pyrrha being incredibly torn up over her accidental murder of Penny, he and Ruby immediately assure her that it wasn’t her fault and that Cinder was to blame for this. A obvious thing to do, epsecially after ruby started doing it.
And the right thing to do as well, proving his point and therefore disproving yours.
-Realizing that he won’t be able to make it to Pyrrha in time, he immediately calls Ruby and Weiss to go to her and help. After ozpin tells him to call gynda and him and pyrrha stand there watching, doing nothing until he just disappears. Yes calling for help is great but disobeying a headmaster in disstress? A poor display of leadership, smarts to call both and potentially putting both ruby and weiss in danger? Good call indeed.
HOLD IT!
One: this is a case of morality, not jaune’s leadership skills.
Two: Jaune was obviously emotionally distressed when he called them (https://youtu.be/hq1lk-QWxNg?t=5m31s) thus is not in the right state of mind and thus showing bais against Mr. Arc.
Three: Jaune was never told that. Pyrrha was. (https://youtu.be/pT1XiUbJu_Y?t=15m33s) jaune ahd been knocked by Cnder several seconds before so he was still recovering and didn’t hear Ozpin Even so, Pyrrha never told him to get ahold of anyone. So this is yet another lie.
-Still keeps a recording of Pyrrha helping him train so all the work and effort she put into believing in him doesn’t go to waste. I mean that’s not an example of being nice as it is mourning and sadness.
OBJECTION!
An asshole would be glaring and cursing Pyrrha for leaving him: Since Jaune did not, he is not an asshole.
-Despite not liking Qrow, still helps Ruby carry him around when he was poisoned and brings him to safety out of the Nuckalevee’s way. After literally berating her uncle who showed up to save her after jaune didn’t even make an attempt; jaune literally dislike him because despite Qrow being kind of a dick he’s overall a better person and blames him for something he had no part in.
HOLD IT!
Qrow pressured Pyrrha into becoming a Maiden which is what Jaune called him out on. And the only things Jaune ahs been accused of is being misgyonistic, which Qrow himself fits by his standards when he talked a bar maid’s skirt. So they are equal at that point and with Qrow’s self admit dickishness, Qrow is lower than Jaue on the morality pole. Thus this statement is both a lie and invalid.
uplifting speech about how despite Ruby witnessing Pyrrha’s death along with losing Penny, Team RWBY, and to a certain extent, Yang, she keeps pressing forward, and that gave them the courage to keep pressing forward, while playing down his own loss. A scene where ruby should have expressed said feelings of pain and loss rather than have them talked to at her, he plays up his loss with the sad training, berating qrow for something ozpin did infront of ruby this is a man she loves and he shits on him for reasons and things he was just for the lack of a better term barely within earshot of.
Ruby did in fact express feelings of pain and loss was expressing self loathing, self doubt and self guilt but instead focused on the condition and safety of team JN_R, balming herself for their misfortunes which at that point jaune stops her, recalls everything she’s lost, shows her that she kept moving them forward and that she should put herself down. (https://youtu.be/QjBtT4uCWpI?t=9m13s) This is yet another direct lie.
Just like the accusation jaune berated Qrow in that segment which, as the links I shall provide here (https://youtu.be/QjBtT4uCWpI?t=3m57s / https://youtu.be/QjBtT4uCWpI?t=8m47s) show he did no such thing.
In the space of one argument, he has lied twice now just to make Mr. Arc look bad.
You see the reason people say jaune is a dick is because how he progresses through the story. He stalks and annoys weiss despite her wanting nothing to do with him. Ignores pyrrha when she introduces herself and once weiss is in his arms completely forgets the fact that pyyrha is in danger with a grimm chasing her and doesn’t even attempt to tell anyone.
Jaune was introduced flying into Ruby and jumped in to try and stop Weiss from falling on the hard ground. This all happened right AFTER Pyrrha and the deathstalker appear. (https://youtu.be/ctiDu69kIho?t=1m57s)
Despite earlier talking about wanting to be a hero and wanting to help people has several opportunities to do so and just watches this happen like the velet scene despite this contridicting his established characterization.
As did the entirety of RWBY and JNPR: However, unlike jaune who si weaker than cardin and due to his bullying is an apologist for him, they are all at least as strong as Cardin (especially Yang, Pyrrha and ironically Velvet herself.) Also, in schools, it is not the bully who gets punished in that situation, it is the one who retaliated and so Jaune would gotten his ass kicked and gotten in trouble.
Sleeps in class and doesn’t bother studying; Need I remind you this is a place people have to work their asses off to get in and he’s neglecting any form of bettering himself
OBJECTION!
Two episodes prior, Ruby herself is sleeping in class and I have yet to see you call her out as well. (https://youtu.be/-E6aeUjfBCM?t=3m5s) and so you only choose toc all out Jaune because he is Jaune. Also: this is not a moral thing so it is irrelevant.
Gets pissed off when a strong talented huntsman offers her help in training despite him literally needing it cause as ruby said “You’re a leader now jaune.” but acts like a spoiled brat and refuses help, studying etc to the point of actually bring his team down because of such.  you know those group projects everyone hates where if one jerk doesn’t attempt anything you all fail cause it’s a group project? Jaune is being that guy.
May I ask if there is proof of such a group project is during Jaune’s time like that? because as of EPisode 14, Jaune no longer displays this tendency. (https://youtu.be/PS9huFMmSoc?t=4m36s) In fact, Jaune himself says exactly what you do and promises to never do this again, which he has not.
Literally continues stalking weiss and gets jealous/petty whe she likes someone else.
HOLD IT!
As I have proven before, jaune’s anger was not out fo pettiness towards Neptune but rather because he hurt Weiss for rejecting her for seeminly no reason.
Just as well, I have proven Jaune was not stalking Weiss as well due to a lakc of malicious intent.
And the statement is also a lie: Pyrrha never outright asked out Jaune, unlike Weiss. And this also implies it was okay for Neptune to do that but not Jaune.
Decides to completely derail a fight because he wants to yell ship names going as far as to snap at a person who literally reminds him of such.
Derailing a fight is not a moral issue and there are no rules against what jaune was doing, just weird. (https://youtu.be/RzEo0F8thL4?t=4m51s)
Pyrrha again is making advances on him during their alone time and jaune never breaks it off when it would be easier to say “I just don’t have these feelings for you.” than lead the poor girl on.
HOLD IT!
Jaune is obviously incapable of seeing that Pyrrha was interested in him going as far back as the dance arc (https://youtu.be/0-f-mGvOba8?t=4m) And thus making the assumption he’s stringing her along purposefully is not only false but is shifting the blame from Pyrrha who should have asked him out if she wa sthat serious!
In the middle of ruby saying it’s not your fault decides to cut her off so he can have a speech.
because he wants to make a point know: Yang, Blake, Pyrrha and Qrow have all done it.
Is told to watch amber if he wants to help pyrrha ignores the order after said headmaster trusted him to guard her and indirectly hands the maiden powers to cinder.
HOLD IT!
Jaune did in fact stand guard (https://youtu.be/pT1XiUbJu_Y?t=12m18s) only breaking when Pyrrha cried out, thus showing concern for his best friend. (https://youtu.be/pT1XiUbJu_Y?t=14m17s) By this logic, it’s Ozpin’s fault because his job was done, he was closer to Amber and he should have faster reflexes: If Ozpin can’t stop the arrow, neither Jaune or anyone short of an experienced Huntsman could.
When the headmaster tells him to call glynda him and pyrrha stare at the battle and don’t even bother reaching into their pockets.
Again, Pyrrha was told that, not jaune. the responsibility goes to him since he was recovering when he said that. Not jaune’s fault Pyrrha didn’t call.
Then jaune calls pyrrha and ruby two inexperienced hunters to help fight off a person with powerful maiden powers???
A Prodegy and her partner in a time he was not in the right state of mind.
Vol. 4 Starts off with him idiotically  claiming one of his strategies as “hitting it harder.” while also running around with no weapons/defenses making him an actual detriment to the team, when he could sit back and still give orders or if he so smart set up traps or something.
1. The team said he should go with no weapons (https://youtu.be/IZKpkzPIRlw?t=9m52s) 2. Limited supplies and no experiences in traps and 3. He detailed his plan and reasoning. (https://youtu.be/IZKpkzPIRlw?t=11m39s)
Also, by this logic, Ruby is an asshole for making the Geist’s arm catch fire and make it more dangerous. So this shows more bias against Jaune.
Despite not knowing who pyrrha is has sent in enough box tops to get a hoodie which makes no sense.
Actually, eh recognized her FROM the box (https://youtu.be/H09KTtyElWQ?t=4m) Just not in person, which happens in real life as well.
Gripes at ruby for not knowing how long the trip would take despite their original plan being taking a airship and not again remembering she’s a child with a power to go fast.
1. The airship was in the first destroyed village (https://youtu.be/IZKpkzPIRlw?t=16m49s) and Ruby’s Semblance can only hold herself and takes Aura to use, thus leaving her vunerable to attack.
Instead of taking pyrrha’s armor to her family people who’d probably want it he melted it down (with no regard for ren/nora) into his own armor. Classy.
Pyrrha had to have armor at her house in Mistral as well as all her mementos from before Jaune.
Drops the map instead of…putting it away like a good strategist would do.
As does Ruby, who holds the same title, because of the shock of seeing the destroyed village. (https://youtu.be/rHjUHnG7WOQ?t=4m28s)
When ren talks about this city being apart of his past and how he lost his family jaune decides to say “it’s creepy let’s get out of here.”
Grimm are attracted to areas of great disasters, as shown in Volume 2 with Mountain Glem.
Despite coming to a town he’s never been to talks about how he hates/is tired of losing everything.  Yet is content to sit there and watch ruby get shanked after saying that; jaune would not sit there (more on this in a bit.)
Tyrian single handedly destroyed Nora, Ren and Ruby, all three of whom are magnitudes stronger than him: he’ fight Tyrian, die, and have Ruby grieve even more while STILL getting caught by Tyrian. It would mean nothing and Jaune’s expression shows so.
After her uncle saves her life and risk his, the family she loves dearly berates him as I said because of a choice ozpin makes….after saving all their lives…berates him for a semblance that makes no sense (If miles says semblance takes aura then how could people have passive one’s without their aura depleting???)
That Qrow supported, pressured Pyrrha in and about a subject that is sensitive to him. Also, this shows bias against Miles as you complain about it now but not in the Ruby example.
Idiotically when ruby states “they’ll be okay.” decides to be pessimistic knowing it will attract grimm.
Ruby acts over naïve and lets her guard down not to mention the fact that you ignore this in the Tyrian example seeing as this would attract MORE Grimm to RNJR.
See the problem is how contidictory his character is, he wants to be a hero yet refuses to better himself even for his team and it’s not until so real coaxing does that set in cause he’d not be only telling himself down but his team.
Argument is about whether or not jaune is an asshole, not his overall character. Not only that, there is justification for hs actions when you aren’t directly lying about it. And that second line shows that he isn’t an asshole by your own words because an asshole would be self absorbed whereas Jaune is being selfless. Also there is no proof Jaune is not trying, a least, no less than Ruby who has the same motivation.
Despite being a “tactician” has only did three things. -yell pyrrha (and these people he never met suddenly do a team attack??) -Say we hit it harder.” Despite again nora about to do that and their being several ways to prove his smarts otherwise. -Telling the people who are already circling the creature to circle it.
1. They both look at the stinger and at each other, understanding each other. (https://youtu.be/ctiDu69kIho?t=8m52s)
2. Already disproved this
3. Only ren was, the others where not.
And when he wants to be a good person or wants to genuinly do something it’s shutdown by an action jaune would never do, you said so yourself he ran out to pyrrha and stated in vol. 4 he was tired of losing everything yet didn’t even attempt to help ruby which just isn’t jaune; he’d try something; anything.
Excpet Pyrrha did that exact same thing and died and grief, y your own admission, attracts Grimm so even if he could help her, he’d just be making her life worse by dying.
It blows when a character wants to be good but is constantly bogged down by by writing making his kind of an asshole, so yes he’s an asshole  with a moodswing by my and many diagnostics.
All of which are based on lying, misinformation and misintereptation.
Because we pay attention to the events that happen; no one is making up him being an asshole espeically not such a large portion of people.
Actually yes, you are. Unlike me who ahs given links to support his debunking, you do not which shows you know you’re full of it and refuse to show proof because it would contradict you.
It’s not rational thinking, jaune is a contrasting character and people and like him but dislike where he’s going and his actions just like any other character; I hope you’ll put some thought into that.
Actually, everytime this comes up, it ahs been lies and misinformation just like here: if you are right, show your proof and don’t lie. I have conclusively proven that the hatred are Mr. Arc is founded only on bias, lies, misinformation and misinterptation . This post is proof.
You have shown to lie, show bias against jaune and the writers, misinform and misinetrupt at every twists and turn to the point that every compliant you have lobbied here has been debunked.
Until next time; Case closed!
Yes, it is. And you have been found guilty of misinformation, bias, misrepresentation, moving goalposts and lying. So I think you should take this into account: If you must lie to sell your narrative, you’re probably wrong.

it’s 5AM and i’m pissed about warcraft (mostly lore) again
I have a personal chip on my shoulder against Overwatch for reasons that might not be wholly valid. Project Titan (original OW) was started, and Blizz started to shift people around. Jeff Kaplan switched from working on WoW to Titan, and the game eventually got cancelled in 2014. Cataclysm’s released heralded a downturn for the quality of the game, not just in terms of lore.  The xpacs had a few good things in them (MoP is one of my favorites, the pandaren have great lore), but there was a lot of shit in there too. WoD was barebones as shit in terms of content with a completely nonsense storyline that took a huge shit on the lore. Titan was cancelled and recycled into Overwatch, a move that divided developers and even caused Metzen to quit.  I don’t blame or hold anger at Metzen for quitting (the guy had a fucking baby on the way, he needed to be a dad), but when he announced he was retiring, that’s when Warcraft really lost its magic to me and when I fell out of love with it.
So I blame Overwatch for what happened to Warcraft, which isn’t necessarly fair. Overwatch is fun and well made (in terms of art style that is, everything else is debatable). Maybe it makes more sense to blame the writers for losing their touch. But I still hold that slight disdain for Overwatch, even if it’s unfair. But enough about that; let’s talk about shitty lore.
Cataclysm is where the game just became bogged down with bad lore decisions, consisting of forced conflict and characters acting against their established selves to make said forced conflict happen.
Garrosh being made warchief was the first in a long laundry list of bad decisions. There was no reason Thrall would’ve logically made him leader even when being Grom’s son. It was evident he was not suited for this position and someone like Vol’jin or Saurfang should’ve taken the reins. He would’ve either kept him as a high ranking general like Nazgrim or waited until he matured a bit more and mellowed out to give him the mantle. It’s such a bullshit promotion that exists only to force conflict and have lore why PvP is still a thing (because it’s not like we can just have pvp be noncanon like bungie did with classic halo jesus fuck blizz you’re not 343 you don’t need to give pvp lore validity of fucking course the racial leaders aren’t really dead despite me killing them smh)
Garrosh is a bumbling inconsistent mess. In the books, Garrosh is smarter, but in the games, he’s a goddamn idiot and a brat with no sense of responsibility who blames Thrall during their fight in Nagrand (despite the fact that thrall literally left eitrigg, vol’jin, saurfang, and cairne behind to help him deal with shit and he tells them all to fuck off. also blaming thrall for him having to pick up the pieces is bullshit when he almost broke the horde because he literally kept trying to push the other races down into subservience, to a point where he tried to assassinate vol’jin). So Garrosh had no accountability as a leader. His whole plan to establish orcish supremacy and “make the horde great again” shows he has no fucking clue about orcish history despite his dad being IN THE SHIT. Orcish supremacy was all a lie concocted by Ner’zhul to fearmonger the draenei as evil invaders. Before the Horde, all the clans did was just live separately and fight the ogre empire who just wanted to enslave them. The Horde only exists because Kil’jaedan manipulated them into becoming one to wipe out the draenei. Garrosh doesn’t even know his own people’s fucking lore. Oh, and an extra special fuck you from when he said Thrall is no longer an orc. Nobody in the entire Warcraft lore has any right to tell Thrall he isn’t an orc. Thrall was a literal child soldier raised by Blackmoore to fight like an animal in his colosseum (his fucking name literally means SLAVE). The only human friend he had during his childhood was raped and beheaded and even lets Blackmoore’ men go free after he kills him in honorable combat.  Thrall has the most validity out of anyone in the Horde to be against the Alliance, but he just wants to give his people a home after the Legion stole it all and turned them into murderers. So anyway Garrosh can go fuck himself (except none of what I said actually matters because warlords of draenor established that all orcs are evil murderers even without demon blood so everything warcraft 3 was about means nothing i guess fuck you blizzard). Also, miss me with that bullshit about honor™ when you use a bomb to vaporize your enemies and not fight them by yourself on the fields of battle like your dad would’ve.
The Alliance hasn’t been written as morally grey or written to have flaws since Warcraft 3. Aside from Arthas’ and Jaina’s storylines, the rest of the Alliance is a bunch of assholes. Grom is forced to drink from the demon pool because the night elves started murdering them after they went to Ashenvale to cut down trees so they can build settlements to protect the orcs and their new tauren allies. The same allies the night elves just up and abandoned to be fucking murdered by the centaur almost to extinction despite how Cenarius himself blessed Huln Highmountain for his bravery for the tauren helping fight the legion alongside the kaldorei ten thousand years ago. So big fucking lore oversight, right? Also, since the kaldorei can just grow trees everywhere, why is there a logging crisis with the Horde? They can literally replace the trees right there. In fact, they could literally have solved the Horde’s famine crisis, but they don’t because they’re a bunch of stingy fucks who never get their shit called out. When people complain about Alliance favoritism, this is what they mean. The Horde always has to be the villain in some way, and the Alliance are always the good™ guys who never do anything wrong ever™. The closest we’ve gotten to the Alliance being somewhat morally grey was Camp Taurajo (which is swept under the rug with the biggest bullshit handwave by baine saying ehh it’s okay because that’s a realistic reaction). Jaina just straight up lets her men burn down and kill a bunch of native farmers whose race has lived here for years and never has to acknowledge this directly.
Jaina is almost as mishandled as Garrosh was. In the early days of MoP, they screwed up her being the anti-Horde character but could’ve salvaged it. Now they’ve just made her near irredeemable trash. So after Garrosh blows up Theramore and kills all her men, she’s pissed and out for blood and justifiably so. You want her to kill that motherfucker, but Blizzard doesn’t know about this thing called “moderation” or “reasonable chracter development” so they just decide to crank her up to 22 and have her be a stone cold murderer. She’s just gonna drown Orgrimmar and kill all sorts of innocent civilians inside, including an entire fucking orphanage of children she knows good and well exists since she’s visited the city many times before. Completely missed her the first time (because someone who watched her ex-fiance burn down an entire city including the children would be okay with killing children i guess). Thrall shows up and tries to tell her “hey, child murder is fucked up” and she doesn’t bother listening (apparently thrall isn’t allowed to be upset by children being victims of war despite having been a child slave himself but it’s somehow his fault because he made garrosh warchief even though there was no way he could’ve known this would’ve happen but whatever conflict i guess). So Kalecgos then shows up (who apparently is just her token love interest now and will never show up in the game to do anything useful so all that development he had in cataclysm is now moot. like fucking aggra at least helped thrall at the echo isles kalecgos didn’t do shit) and tells her “hey, child murder is bad” and it finally clicks in her head (so it took three times for her to figure out that she shouldn’t let small children die). Then we flash forward to Legion where Blizz has just decided they just don’t give a shit. Jaina shows up to Stormwind Keep and is pissed that the Horde abandoned the Alliance at the Broken Shore. So a grown ass woman in her 30s proceeds to be condescending and talk shit to a seventeen year old boy who just LOST HIS DAD about not wanting to fight two wars at once and risk crippling the Alliance (because apparently kul yiras no longer exists so she just can’t fund her own damn war i guess. also jaina apparently possesses a teleportation spell established since wotlk to exist that would’ve allowed her to save varian wrynn before he died so thanks a lot for the pointless death that could’ve been avoided for lore reasons, blizz. also we’re just supposed to forgive her racist piece of shit dad for wanting to commit ethnic cleansing and kill little orcish children because jaina needs to angst). Then she gets written out of the plot so Anduin never gets to call her out on the bullshit she tried to pull and so Blizz can shelve her for another forced war conflict. So Jaina has literally developed backwards to the beginning of Warcraft 3. Thanks, Blizz.
Sylvanas has angsted since WC3 that undeath is a curse and nobody should be subjected to it, only for Blizzard to keep turning her into Lich King 2.0 when we get Warlords of Northrend™ eventually (undeath is bad and i angst about it 24/7 so let me use all these chemicals to raise these people into zombies and plague the land but it’s okay because i think slavery is bad at least. also she’s afraid of going to hell to be tortured forever when it’s like “hey you dumb bitch maybe you wouldn’t go to hell if you didn’t keep raising people into zombies after establishing it’s a LIVING HELL TO BE A ZOMBIE”). So Sylvanas has also developed backwards. Thanks again, Blizz.
I’ve written this twice before, but Illidan is the biggest load of bullshit ever. In Warcraft 3, he was a great antihero. Kind of a dick, but you admired that he was out for himself. Now he’s the greatest™ hero™ ever™ that did nothing wrong™. He’s like a worse Anakin Skywalker.
All of WoD
anyway i’m going the fuck to sleep and then wake up in 5 hours to write wow fanfic to fill the hole that blizz’s nonsense created

The Truth About Some Of Feminism’s Most Popular Lies
I know a lot of young women are getting pumped up and becoming one with the whole feminism thing, and I get it, you want to be part of some cool sisterhood and feel empowered by believing there’s an embodiment of evil that you can unite and crush together. I get it. There are two problems here though, it’s not a sisterhood and your enemy doesn’t exist.
Feminism does promote a cliquey, sisterhood mentality, that part is true but the moment you step out of line, come up with your own opinions or challenge preconceived ideas, you stop being a sister and become the enemy. They despise freedom. They believe women should be protected from most aspects of public life, especially speech as if women are so weak and fragile that they can’t deal with mere words and can’t face adversarial situations and challenging views without the protective arm of feminism around their shoulders.
Instead of sending the empowering message of “a woman can overcome anything life throws at her”, they rather send the infantile message of “a woman can shut down and censor anything life throws at her”. Women should be encouraged to fight back against opposing views, to engage in political battles on the street and to win the argument, not just scream and insult your way into silencing someone who dares to argue with facts.
Rather than assuming that all men and every aspect of society are inherently programmed to mistreat women, we need to believe that human interaction should be free from constraint. Believe in unequivocal and uncompromising freedom of speech, and the free exchange of ideas between people in order to reach a more progressive outcome. The only way to do this is through an uncompromising belief in freedom. Freedom is everything you are in the western world. You aren’t a victim and you sure as hell aren’t oppressed.
I keep hearing these same misconceptions over and over again and as women we need to stop falling for it, we’re only making ourselves look dumb. Let’s start with the wage gap. As I’ve posted many times, if you want to be paid more, then start putting more thought into your college major. The subjects which young feminists are gravitating to in order to be seen as “good, enlightened, educated feminists” only exist to attract those who are too lazy to study a real subject, they were created specifically for young feminists which may seem really awesome at the time but it gets you nowhere in the real world. Men on the other hand, they dominate the majors which lead to the highest paying jobs, not because of sexism but because they love to be challenged and to work hard - something feminism discourages altogether. There’s nothing stopping you from taking education more seriously so let’s make that our first goal, agreed?
The second part of this wage gap discussion is, well it’s a myth. Feminists still to this day go on about it, complaining that when we enter the workforce we’re inevitably going to be given 23 cents less to our male colleagues just because we have different genitalia. How this hysteria began was by a kindergartener’s calculation of average income between men and women regardless of job position or any other factor, they compare male surgeons to female lunch ladies and scream OMG WAGE GAP!
It has never been a direct comparison in wages, this isn’t about two people working for the same company in the same position with the same experience and working the same hours. Paying women less simply for being a woman is illegal. If it was really happening, why aren’t millions of women taking their employers to court for gender pay discrimination and ignoring the Equal Pay Act, an enforced law to ensure pay equality? Well probably because it doesn’t happen outside of feminism’s imaginary cruel misogynistic, woman-hating world.
Now this isn’t saying that most men don’t retire with more in their bank accounts because it’s true, men end up with more money, but it’s not because they’re being paid more for doing the same job as a woman, they’re simply being paid for jobs women don’t want to do. A lot of men earn more for that exact reason. They earn it. They dominate the hard, dirty, dangerous jobs that require more hours, later hours and involve higher risks for accident and death. They are also more willing to push themselves and fight for top positions. Again, something feminism discourages as they feel like it’s automatically owed to them.
This is only talking about men closer to retirement age. When you begin to look at younger people, there’s a funny little fact that feminists love to exclude from their victim narrative: young women earn more than young men. Women are paid more than men until they reach their 40s, according to an official assessment of the gender pay gap by the Office for National Statistics. Women in their 20s have earned more than men in the same age group for the past decade and now women in their 30s are also paid more than males. Whether it’s because far more women are attending and graduating from college than men or whether it’s the direct result of affirmative action where women are being gifted scholarships and job positions for being women, that’s up for you to decide. Either way, you won’t ever hear a feminist talk about it.
That is not an attack on women and that obviously doesn’t include all women but these are the facts. Something else to take into consideration too: not every woman wants this. Not every woman cares about ending up with 23% less than their husband in retirement because they value family life more than their hours worked and how many men they competed with, they care about having children and living a loving, relaxed and homely life and that is their choice. The extra money they miss out on, they gain in a stronger, closer and invaluable bond and relationship with their children and it’s the father who gets 23% less of a bond. It’s all about perspective and personal choices.
It’s probably why the large majority of women aren’t feminists - in order to be a feminist, you must see your decision to be a housewife or stay at home mom as proof you’re a victim to men and you must always be in competition with men. Most women simply don’t give a fuck lol most of us aren’t batshit crazy and aren’t constantly looking to blame men and see ourselves as victims. Most women just want to do what makes them happy and it’s about time feminists stop shaming these women for wanting a “gender conforming” life.
Let’s focus on feminism’s next excuse to be lazy and unmotivated: their excuse about it being harder for women to break into typically dominated male fields. I really don’t need to spend much time on this one because as we all know, any woman is just as free to study STEM majors and are just as likely to be employed in STEM fields, even more with a little help from our friend affirmative action where now women have a 2:1 advantage when applying for a STEM job over men.
Let’s think about why there may be less women in STEM fields, is it sexism or do women just make different choices? According to the US Department of Statistics women in STEM switch majors at a far higher rate than men once they realize that it’s too hard for them, sometimes all females drop out until there are only men left in classrooms and feminists scream sexism. How is this logical? Where is the accountability for women? Feminists also constantly go on about these hostile, sexist environments in math and engineering but you never hear them complain about biology, agriculture, vet medicine or law where women are flourishing. Is it possible that feminism only turns on the victim switch when men outperform women but stays quiet where women succeed? It appears so.
Women earn more PhDs than men in the humanities, social sciences, education, life sciences. Men prevail in engineering, physics and computer science. Does our social constructed gender stereotypes or the patriarchy explain these differences? Or could it just be in the pursuit of happiness men and women take slightly different paths? When men and women get asked how they like to spend their free time, more men than women say they would enjoy manipulating tools and taking apart and putting together machines. Women are more likely to say they prefer to work with people or living things. The key word here was prefer. Having different preferences which leads to different levels of performance in different fields doesn’t make it sexist, it makes it a part of life.
Girls do better in school, go to college more, graduate more and with higher grades, and in STEM have a 2:1 advantage when job seeking over men. Yet we are told this is not enough and because there’s still more men in some STEM fields, it has to be sexism. Have we ever considered the possibility that women just aren’t as interested as men? Believing in equality doesn’t mean that we have to force women into something they simply don’t want to do or aren’t as interested in to achieve equal ratios. It isn’t sexism, it is preference. A study asked STEM professors why they believe there aren’t as many women in STEM and almost all agreed it is because differences in interest between men and women. Men aren’t keeping women out of STEM, more women simply would rather be doing something else and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Their final excuse probably bothers me above all and that’s when they say young women aren’t as interested because they don’t have as many women to inspire them or be role models. My question is, why do we need women role models? If we believe in equality so much, why can’t we look to a man who has achieved something great or a man in power and say “wow, he has a lot of characteristics that I could strive to attain and take on board, I should be that, embody that, go for it girl and become a boss just like this guy!” Would feminism ever find it acceptable for a man to say that boys need men as role models instead of women? No. So what’s the difference? Surely this is a better approach to encourage girls to get into male dominated fields than to scream sexism and send the message that young girls can only be inspired by their own gender. It has a bit of a sexist smell about it, if you ask me.
Honestly, I think there is a lot more equality than we want to recognize because when we recognize that we can do the same things and achieve the same potential as men then we realize it’s really our fault and there’s no patriarchy to blame for our shortcomings and laziness. Are we ready to own our shit and make changes to the way we approach life or are we going to keep blaming men and encouraging victimhood?
Feminism isn’t setting a good example but we as women need to stay calm and don’t let our emotions get in the way of our goals. Feminism tells us that the only way to crush “the patriarchy” is to be loud and obnoxious, to put men in their place, to walk around with our boobs and ass out and to stop caring about our looks and hygiene - and then they tell us to take them seriously. Sorry ladies, the world doesn’t work that way, you simply don’t get to be a slob and a CEO at the same time whether you’re a man or woman and regardless of where you live, professionalism is the same everywhere you go. That’s something feminism hates. They believe professionalism is the patriarchy, that professionalism is rich white men in the sky controlling our bodies. Give me a break. If you want others to take you seriously, first you have to take yourself seriously, it’s really not that difficult.
Use your voice as a strong woman but please, don’t be a screeching fucking feminist. Stay professional as possible and stay focused. People don’t want to take medical or legal advice or any type of professional advice from someone who isn’t rational or smells and looks like a furry garbage can or talks like a tantrum throwing child, that only sells insecurity and distrust.
If you want a position of power, if you want to be taken seriously - be strong, be smart, don’t ever think something is owed to you for being a woman and don’t ever believe you are a victim of mythical white men controlling your every move. That is paranoid, borderline psychotic thinking and you need to stay as far away from this mindset as possible. This is why I encourage everyone to be ourselves rather than feeling like we have to be feminists.

Wow. Your answer to that ask was amazing. 😊💙🌷 you for teaching me so journalism lingo! I definitely agree with you that there's an imbalance this season with Kara Danvers 👓 (so her as a civilian) and Supergirl. I feel like we've seen more of Maggie doing her the job than Kara, which is kind of sad. I know Supergirl is also her passion/duty, but I miss reporter! Kara or seeing her do more normal things. Anyway, great insight. Hmm, I would love to fight Merlin because I'm currently-- 💙(pt 1)
–watching Merlin from the start and my dislike of him is prominent. *Sighs* Morgana deserved so much better. He has magic though…So idk if I’d survive that. It’d probably be easiest to end the rich, pretentious, outdated Frointer guy. I’ll go with him to live, but would prefer Merlin. Um, what kind of pizza do you like? I make homemade pizza (the crust too) sometimes. I prefer to bake. Do you ship Lucy with Mina? I don’t and think Mina was too harsh to her, so I won’t ship it. –(Pt 2/3)💙🐢
Lucy Westenra deserved so much better. This also applies to Mina in my opinion, which is likely the minority. I still respect those who ship them ofcourse…I just don’t. I miss Lena Luthor. Oh, I’m going to go watch 2.17 bc I haven’t yet; it’s still int he recorder thingy. I hope you have a resplendent day/night. 💙🌷😊 (I feel like a monster leaving unused characters…Hmm. Here’s a riddle: What creature walks on 4 legs in the morning , 2 in the afternoon, and 3 in the evening?). 🐱 (Pt 3/3)
Hi! I saw your message a while ago, but I was getting home and my grandmother was watching this reality show (Big Brother Brazil), where this guy had been emotionally abusing his show girlfriend, and today they kicked him out, after a judge’s verdict. I’m still very shaken from the situation and the girl’s reaction, and it made me think of what’s happening on Supergirl rn. I was not looking for an association or anything, but it was impossible not to. The difference here being in one it was real life happening and in Supergirl they chose to write that. The guy was cute sometimes (apparently, some people even ‘shipped’ them) he hugged and kissed her and kissed her feet and everything and told her he’d always take care of her, but they fought all the time, he was very aggressive with everyone, mostly his girlfriend, he humiliated her, he guilt-tripped her, he diminished her feelings. Honestly, everything I saw about these two could be a direct parallel to so many scenes in supergirl including the girl’s reaction to him leaving. That was the most heartbreaking of all; when told she was being abused and they had to take him away from the show, the girl cried, said it shouldn’t be happening, he didn’t mean to hurt her, he was just stressed. She blamed herself, said that this was only happening because of her, because he was there so she wasn’t left alone, and if he hadn’t stayed because of her nothing of this would be happening to him. She said that she didn’t say anything because she didn’t want to jeopardize him, and that she told herself she would just let him do anything he wanted without saying anything because she didn’t want to fight anymore. I watched a clip of one of their fights, which was the one that caused the justice/law to be involved, and it’s absolutely terrifying, he didn’t let her break up with him, she called him out on his actions and he talked over at her, didn’t let her talk, he yelled in her face, he backed her into a corner with his finger in her face pressing her against the wall whilst yelling with his face touching hers. But even if I hadn’t seen the video, just the girl’s reaction to him being sent away and them saying it was because of how he was treating her, just that was enough to see how much he fucked this poor girls mind. She felt for him, she was concerned about what was going to happen to him, and that he was going to blame her for pressing charges (which she didn’t), she felt guilty for him being punished because she felt like she put him in that position…
I’m not saying I wasn’t concerned about this direction of the show before, or that you can only feel sympathy after experiencing things in some way or another. But I’m just really really shaken about this, seeing all of this made me even more scared for what they are doing on Supergirl.
One thing that really struck me was another girl on the rs, who said that we get mad when we see this happening to others but we let things happen to us because we’re so used to taking in our own shit that we don’t even notice when something big is happening to us. This poor young girl got so used to taking in the shit he had been throwing her, so used to the things he did to her and she liked him so much, that she hasn’t accepted that it happened to her, even with the bruises and everyone telling her, the show’s host telling her, she still didn’t believe or accept that she was a victim, that he was wrong, she continued to excuse him because ‘it wasn’t his fault, he was angry and stressed, he wasn’t going to really hurt me’.
I’m sorry, I needed to let this out (that’s not even half of it, but oh well). I was done talking about Supergirl’s fuck ups, but this just got to me (and honestly, it should have affected everyone who watched it, people excusing him or making jokes about this situation or even saying this is all a scene and she’ll win the show and the money and then all will be okay and she won’t even be sad [my stepfather actually said this], those people are disgusting)
On a lighter note, I will answer you know. Sorry for the rant.
Merlin is a douche and Morgana deserved better. I don’t even care if I’d win, I just want to fight him. Rich pretentious dudes scare me, I went to private school, rich boys terrify me to no end, like major anxiety attack at seeing one of my old classmates in my uni, so I wouldn’t be able to fight the frontier guy, I think, I haven’t seen it yet, only the first episode, so maybe my answer will change.
I like all types of pizza, all of them. PIZZA! But I don’t like red meat, onions, mushrooms, peas, corn or garlic. My favorite is chicken as plain as it is, but I’ll try a lot of things too. And I sometimes eat the crust but not when I’m in a restaurant because it’s just smarter to not eat the crust so you can try more flavors.  🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 🍕 I’ve always wanted to make pizza, I like baking and cooking, so I really want to try it, it’s so cool that you do it.
I did not ship Lucy and Mina, I think Mina was too unfair and harsh to Lucy and her reaction was really gross (in my opinion) and it made me very very angry, including the Jonathan situation later on (in which she blamed Lucy, the victim) and telling it to Alexander, and then his reaction was really really disgusting and made me so angry for a very long time, so much that his words still stay with me “ If you insist on acting like a monster, I’m going to make you one.” One could interpret here that being a lesbian, being manipulated and being treated like shit by a jealous and angry man (who was very aggressive on top of that) is ‘acting like a monster’, because that’s what happened to her and she felt ashamed and she tried to talk to Mina and Mina didn’t let her and told her to leave. In this situation Mina was horrible; though in others she was also mistreated, so she also did deserve better, better than Johnathan and better than ‘her soulmate’ the stalker, Alexander. But I can totally see why people ship them, I did too, but the reactions were too harsh for me to look past for a ship.
2x17 was terrible and I’m only still watching this because of Lena, otherwise, I would have already lost all the interest in this that was my favorite show.
I had a very crazy day, and I would totally talk about it if this wasn’t already huge, so I’ll just say I had a boring seminar and a huge convo/discussion about How I Met Your Mother, it was awesome.
Now for the riddle, it’s a person. In the morning = baby, ‘walks’ on four legs; in the afternoon = child/teen/adult, walks on two legs; and in the evening = old age, adds a cane. 😁😎
Hope you have a stupendous day/night 💚🌼😊
