i wrote a big long analysis about the font skeletons then deleted all of it because it didn't make any sense, so instead i'm just going to simplify it.

*clears throat* i think the whole, "papyrus being more mysterious then sans," thing is both simpler, and more complex then everyone thinks.

is it a clue that they're both hiding something a lot darker? maybe. but what i think it is, is pretty much just meant to be a realistic interpretation of sibling dynamics. i'll be honest, im a younger sibling. my friends arguably know more about my sister then me. a lot of younger siblings are so used to doing whatever their older sibling does that they really don't feel comfortable talking about, or sometimes even genuinely being themselves.

that and papyrus is basically confirmed to be the only reason sans is still alive even, so of course he's gonna be thinking about his older brother most of the time and not wanna talk about himself. he's not stupid.
