B. because it was such a horrid year for crops Indiana, who I think was about ten physically when he *popped* into existence, spent their first while on the planet rationing food & regularly going to bed hungry. I occasionally wish to reach out to old friends/acquaintances I haven't spoken to since high school/some other even earlier time in my life, but I have SOOO little social energy even for required tasks (like making dr phone calls or etc), I never have any leftover for extra ones, and it would be very odd to message someone I haven't spoken to in like 5 years out of the blue but then take 4 entire months to respond back lol.. My natural curiosity with nostalgia/collecting details of the past/etc. (literally if I were born a little earlier I would definitely do scrapbooking or something lol) is very strong, but, alas, not strong enough to beat out the Social Issues Demons apparently

I do remember after the accusations from Bob's ex came out you had a few accounts accusing E&B of diva behavior - including one in which it said that Bob got physical with a crew member and that was why he was ultimately written off - but emotions were high at the time so no one ever really knes if that was fact or just bs smearing. But Alycia? Nope, not once.

No tbh this whole thing reads very oddly to me because all I've ever heard is that she's quite pleasent to work with actually. First of all, Alycia didn't "start in Vancouver and switch to LA". She was LA based since she moved to the US. So idek what this person is trying for there, but it doesn't even make sense. Second, if this person has such a wealth of insider knowledge, then they'd know this wasn't her first project in North America. Two seconds of research would show that (they said they "found out" it was her first acting job, so according to their own words they looked into it??? And still got it wrong???) She'd done a several things before the1oo, including tv work in Australia, a whole ass studio produced movie, and an indie movie over here.

Third? I mean if you follow her, you see she is often in pics with crew members and even follows a few on IG, as well as fellow cast members talking pretty regularly about how sweet she is and about times when they hang out outside of filming. Also iirc when she was directing her her episode of FTWD didn't she even get a... was it shaved iced, or like a coconut water thing? Some kind of frozen treat stand thing, for the entire cast and crew.

That doesn't exactly sound like a tendency toward tyrant, diva behavior.

But truthfully, the thing that jumps out at me the most tho is the Zionist comment. This comment was supposedly left back in 2021, right? Except... Zionist was not a widely known or used term at that time. Unless, of course, this person went back and edited an old review they'd left. Now that would make a lot more sense. Almost as if maybe possibly perhaps, they became angry with her for something else, and came back and changed their review to a scathing bomb. It's just a theory, I have no way of knowing if that's true or not, but it makes a bit more sense considering I've never heard such a thing about her - not on the 1oo nor any other projects.

Consider Yelan's facial expression to be my own in reaction to opinions shared on both X and Tumblr, and I guess I'm in the minority of the 'loud ones', but I'm pretty excited for Natlan since that trailer, actually. The previous teasers left me a little 'eh', but this definitely got my hopes back up, and I'm back in the right spirits for it (and ready to catch some Pokémon.)

Now I wouldn't be me if I didn't touch on the salt that I've seen scattered across the dash, so here I go. Listen, I read people's objections and I see what you're all aiming at, but in that light want to note that it's often incredibly easy to point fingers (arguably too much so) at others while being, quite honestly, hopefully rather aware that many of our own countries, cultures, and its populations across the board (and no, I'm not excluding anyone here) would likely be just as easily guilty as MHY is with these things. anyway

primate organizations i recommend:

pan african sanctuary alliance - pasa is a great directory for conservation efforts in africa, so if you want more places to look at, definitely look at their website. i would say any organization in their alliance can be trusted to adequately provide for the animals in their care.

lola ya bonobo - lola ya bonobo/friends of bonobos is the only!! bonobo rewilding program in the whole world and the only sanctuary that's specifically dedicated to bonobos

dian fossey gorilla fund - this one is specifically dedicated to the protection of mountain gorillas as well as research of the surrounding habitat. they've also done some substantial research into one of my favorite monkeys, the golden monkey (cercopithecus kandti).

gorilla doctors - the gorilla doctors do veterinary field work to maintain the health of wild mountain gorillas and eastern lowland gorillas. they also work to address human and domestic animal health in the area in order to help maintain gorilla health.

the orangutan project - the orangutan project works with various organizations in indonesia for the conservation of orangutans. one of the organizations they fund is the bos foundation which is a personal favorite :) the smithsonian show "orangutan jungle school" is about bos!

duke lemur center - duke lemur center is a research center and conservation effort for lemurs (of which they house 200 btw). all of their research is minimally invasive and not harmful to the animals. they kind of do a lot of stuff so it's a little hard to summarise... also binx lives here............. i love binx.......

vervet forest - the vervet monkey foundation is basically exactly what it sounds like. they rescue pet monkeys and laboratory monkeys and give them a better life. one thing that's particularly interesting about them is their foster mom program where they give orphaned babies a monkey family :)

lwiro primate rehab center - lwiro works to rehabilitate all kinds of primates impacted by the illegal (and unethical) pet trade. this means they primarily work with orphaned primates and primates with significant physical and psychological trauma

tacugama - tacugama works on preservation of wildlife in sierra leone. they're pretty famous i don't really know what to say about them except that they care for a buttload of chimps

fauna foundation - the fauna foundation the only chimpanzee sanctuary in canada and it rehabilitates and provides a safe place for chimps traumatized by the pet trade and laboratories. plus they have a nature reserve that's part of their conservation effort. shout out to sue ellen

monkey haven - primate rescue center i'm really just mentioning because xhabu lives there and he's like a celebrity to me. like they do good work but i just really love xhabu
