We drove to the Mt Elbert South trailhead and hiked to a loop of the Colorado Trail with a spur off to the Lilly Pond. The Elbert trail is full of Aspens and wildflowers. There are several beaver ponds on the Colorado Trail loop with flowers everywhere.
