With my lunar return illuminating the sky, this Full Moon in Cancer feels especially sentimental. At the 23rd degree, Luna speaks through the Omega symbol imagery of ‘A man building a structure meant to look like the ruins of a temple,’ an invitation to breathe life into what once was, to honor the past while forging something new. This degree also sits in the third decan of Cancer, ruled by Luna ✨☾✨, and symbolized by ~ The Overflowing Cup ~, bringing with it a natural desire to nurture, protect, and share the abundance we’ve been given.

This is the Wolf Moon, a time rooted in instinct and wildness, calling us to honor our deepest desires with reverence. Like the harvest cycle, this stage of the lunar cycle is about gathering and releasing, finding what nourishes us and shedding what no longer serves. If you know me, you know this is one of my favorite flowers 💐 Historically, hellebores were associated with purification rituals, especially in ancient Greece, where they were used in cleansing ceremonies to drive away evil spirits and negativity. These rituals were often linked to the goddess Hekate, known for guiding people through times of change, protecting them during transitions, and helping them navigate the unknown. The third decan of Cancer has also been associated with Hekate, giving this floral connection even more prevalence. This full moon invites us to embrace the wisdom of this Goddess, shedding old emotional baggage and stepping into new cycles of emotional renewal.
