Hi hi! I'm working on making a video review of Snugglepuss, but I acn answer your question now!!

In terms of softness, Snugglepuss is soft, but it's like a hairy soft, if that makes sense. Not exactly coarse and rough, but it almost feels like realistic fur. I'm not sure what else to compare it to because it's unlike any other plushies I've felt, but I can say that it's not like a Jellycat, Aurora, or Douglas plush.

If you want one with the intention of cuddling it, you might want to look into the Bearhouse collection, since these are stuffed lighter and don't have the jointed limbs! I hear they can still be pretty dense even for "cuddly" plush, so do keep that in mind. Snugglepuss and her twin Sleepyhead are both jointed plushies, so they don't really have much squish to them. I personally don't use my Snugglepuss as a cuddle plush, and she's meant more for being a friend to sit with/on me :)

Since my review of the Kosen mouse went down well and I was asked for more reviews, I've been trying to find where to begin with this lovely ginger gentleman.

Jed is officially named Fraser the fox, and he's part of the Bearhouse Bears Collection from British bear maker Charlie Bears. Jed became the favourite as soon as I opened him on Christmas morning!

He came in a lovely presentation box, which I didn't get a picture of because my mother was tidying up as I opened things and immediately spirited the box away. You know what mothers are like. You'll have to just take my word for it, the box was pretty.

A unique touch was the envelope that came with him. In addition to containing information on washing/etc, there was a recipe included for flapjacks. Jed informs me that he would like it very much if we tried to make them sometime, so no doubt that'll be a future (mis)adventure that I'll post photos of.

Jed is 30cms or 12". If, like me, numbers mean nothing to you, he's a touch shorter than the average Build-A-Bear due to his seated pose. He is substantial though, and is firmer than a BAB. He isn't jointed, but he looks and feels like he ought to be!

The plush itself is good quality, and is subtly multicoloured- he has a number of different orange shades rather than being solid orange. This gives him more of a lifelike look. The materials used for other parts of his body are varied in texture, all very pleasant. The Bearhouse Bears are meant to be safe for small children as well as collectors, and I can see how Jed would be fine to give to a toddler while also being a beautiful addition to an adult collector's family.

A fun feature is his big brushy tail. As you'd expect of a fox tail, it's very long and puffy, and wiggles when he's picked up! His sitting pose makes him easy to carry around, and I think it gives him a bit of an old-fashioned look. He certainly has a warm nostalgic feeling.

Overall, Jed is the favourite of my small Charlie Bears collection, and if you like foxes or old-fashioned-style bears- or old-fashioned-style foxes- I think you'll love this one! 🧡

Would you recommend Charlie bears as a cuddle buddy? They look adorable but I could see them being the type of stuffed animal for display and not holding, especially with their price. Idk much about them because I’m in the US. Been struggling with finding the right stuffy or two for when I head to college and I might get something from them if I can hold them!

The regular ones do better for display. They have a more cuddly collection called the Bearhouse collection, those ones are better for cuddling. They'll likely still be more solid and heavier than what you're used to, so if you want the cuddliest bear ever, I'd say look elsewhere. But they are still nice to hold and hug- they've got a nice weight to them!
