Eddie walked into the station with a throbbing headache. He made his way into the locker room and slowly started putting his stuff away. He squinted against the bright lights of the room— since when was their locker room this brightly lit?! Eddie groaned, leaning against the lockers and closing his eyes. This was going to be a long shift.

“Hey, you alright?” Chimney asked, walking into the locker room behind him. “You don’t look so good.”

“I don’t feel so good,” Eddie murmured, squinting at Chim and groaning when he finds his vision has started to blur.

“Stay right there,” Chimney said, hovering over Eddie until Eddie nodded his assent.

Chimney jogged out of the locker room and up to the loft, calling out for the rest of the team.

Eddie wasn’t sure how long Chimney was gone for but suddenly there was a gentle hand touching his shoulder. “Hey, kid. You okay?” Bobby asked softly.

Eddie made a soft sound as the pain in his head increased, throbbing at his temples and making his stomach roll. “No, m’head hurts.” He mumbled, looking up at Bobby through blurry eyes.

“Okay, well obviously you can’t work, I’m going to have someone take you home and I’ll call in a replacement for you.” Bobby said, using what the team affectionately called his dad voice.
