Couple of Fruits and Space Cowboy

Part 1

It’s the usual set up for a drug deal. Big, empty warehouse out of corrugated steel. Tangerine and his brother Lemon were hired to get the money back to the buyer in a drug deal going down. Nothing new. A walk in the park Tangerine thought to himself.

The only thing that was different about this job was that they didn’t know who had hired them. All they knew was that they were getting paid a lot of money. "This mystery man is willing to pay us what we're worth” Tangerine had said to Lemon when they were offered the job.

They sat behind old boxes and other crap that luckily enough was left on the mezzanine level in the warehouse, providing enough shelter for the two assasins to stay out of sight from the druglord and his crew while they waited for their moment to grab the money.

"Oi, isn't that that guy from that movie?" Lemon said nudging Tangerine with his elbow as he saw Tom Ryder in the scope of his sniper rifle staking out the scene. Tom strolled up wearing a yellow beanie, sunglasses and a way to expensive blue tracksuit out of velvet. Like no one was gonna recognize him in that.

"What's that now?" Tangerine answered his brother absentmindedly just spotting the woman walking in to the warehouse. Tangerine wasn't a believer of love, let alone love at first sight, he couldn't be in his line of work. So whatever he felt for the woman must be instant attraction he told himself. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he saw who the woman was walking next to.

Tangerine rolled not just his eyes but basically his entire body when he saw Tom. "Don't tell me that's the prick who hired us?" he said pinching the bridge of his nose. "Looks like it" Lemon said with an amused smile on his face, knowing his brothers disliking of the actor, as he continued scoping out the scene.

It’s totally fine if you don’t personally interpret Tech as autistic and have another explanation for his behavior. It is not okay, however, to go onto posts where autistic people are talking about how excited they are to feel so represented by the character and try to “prove” that he isn’t meant to be autistic. There is a time and a place to discuss this topic, and spaces where disabled people are getting excited and emotional about how seen a character makes them feel is neither of those.

Autism is incredibly stigmatized by a good chunk of the general population, and we deal with the consequences on a daily basis. What you may see as a good-faith discussion about an animated character will very likely come off to us as yet another person being insistent that a character cannot be autistic because the character in question is likable. When you come barging into posts where people talk about how happy they are about Tech’s characterization rather than discussing your interpretation in your own space, it will come off as antagonistic trolling, even if that isn’t your intent. Autistic fandom goers are frequently harassed for stating that we think that certain characters may be autistic, so there is a precedent for viewing this kind of contrarianism with caution and suspicion.

Weird thought

I want it to be less acceptable for people to bully people dressed as certain characters. Like sure are there "cringy" Agent 3 cosplayers who don't know what the fuck they are doing? Sure. But there are people who do it because of other reason too. Same with the Splatoon Manga, I personally think it's really cool to see people coordinate outfits based on characters. so once me and my wife were watching a documentary where a snake ate like a million eggs. that snake just went to fucking town on eggs. and the snake made the eggs look so good that i kept thinking about it, and thinking about it, and thinking about it, and eventually it was 11pm and i ran out of willpower and decided to eat one (1) singular raw egg just to prove to myself that the snake was surely a liar.

the snake was not a liar. texture is like, super important to me and raw eggs are very Texture so i had another one, and then another one, and then another one, and eventually i ran out of eggs.

i had like, fifteen raw eggs.

i didnt really know how to explain this momentary madness to my wife, so my Plan was to put all the eggshells into a grocey bag, and then throw that grocery bag in the dumpster, and if she never noticed that would be Excellent and if she noticed immediately i could lie and say that the eggs went bad.

except i cant lie very good, and of course with murphys law being such, i got salmonella.

so i threw up a lot and my wife asked me what poisoned me so and i tried very hard to dodge the question but i was oozing shame like oil from a room temperature cheese and eventaully i gave in and told her everything and to her enormous credit she was more flabbergasted than actually upset. she did make me promise to not eat any more raw eggs, which i have stuck to, and she gives me weird looks during nature documentaries now as if desire was the only thing keeping me from eating thousands of pounds of krill anyway i made a joke earlier about being able to eat my age in eggs and my sister in law in law made a drawing to comemorate the moment and also because it was my birthday. she's excellent. thank you 10000000% @cintailed. you should all visit her page and admire her work.

sometimes i think that 90% of the human population might actually be allergic to having, at the very least, reasonable morals??!?

cause take a look at this place, on our 'great' planet why is it seemingly so impossible for the superior, intelligent beings to understand that we're all different and any decisions regarding personal matters should be entirely up to that person and not- i don't know- up to the government or other people around them?!?! this goes for a wide spectrum of things- from banning something or making something illegal (thus removing the choice aspect completely) to simply peer pressure.
