Mini update: came back from writing group to find my laptop screen coming off the hinge. Mum and Kev swear they haven't been in my room and the heat has warped it so it won't go back into place. Attempting to switch it on and hope the screen stays in place but it looks like there's now a display issue in the bottom left corner as well. Desperately hoping I can find some hardship funding to replace my tech because I have nowhere near enough to get a new laptop now my income's been slashed and my bills have increased so I'll have no way to do my uni work once my course starts!
