Healing Isn’t Linear (And That’s Okay)
Hey, you. Yes, you.
If you’re on a healing journey right now—whether it’s for your mind, body, or soul—I just want to say this: healing isn’t a straight line, and that’s okay.
Some days, you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world, like you’ve finally figured it out. Other days, you might feel like you’ve gone backwards, like everything is too much. That’s not failure. That’s being human.
Here’s the thing: progress isn’t about never struggling again. It’s about learning how to handle the tough moments with more kindness, more patience, and more love for yourself.
If today feels heavy, remember:
You’ve made it through 100% of your hardest days so far.
You’re allowed to rest. Healing doesn’t happen faster just because you push yourself harder.
Every small step counts. Even getting out of bed or drinking a glass of water is progress.
Give yourself permission to feel what you need to feel. Cry if you need to. Laugh if you can. Reach out for help if it feels right.
You don’t have to do this alone, and you don’t have to have it all figured out. You’re not behind; you’re right where you need to be.
Sending you a big virtual hug (if that’s your thing) and all the encouragement in the world. You’ve got this, even if it doesn’t feel like it today.

Healing is often painted as a beautiful, wonderful thing.
And it can be. It really can.
But it is often painful, ugly and hard. This is just a reminder that you aren’t failing if you’re in the part where it doesn’t feel good. If you’re in the part where it actually feels harder than before you started trying to heal.
You also aren’t a failure if it felt good for awhile and now doesn’t.
You are doing so much better than you think you are.
