All Might has all the past users quirks.

Hear me out.

MAJOR MANGA SPOILERS

I don't think even All Might knows that he's been using the past user's quirks because they didn't manifest in the same way as they did with Izuku.

Going backwards, Nana had Float. One of the first things we see All Might do is leap into the air. It's played off like part of his strength quirk (all of them are played off as just his strength) but we see him scouting for a building to land on with Midoriya. That suggests he has some form of control, maybe even unconsciously, of where he lands.

We see his control over this "leap" in Kamino when he lands EXACTLY where he needs to to face AFO.

With the 6th user, En, it's pretty apparent how All Might uses his quirk. All Might physically SMOKES/STEAMS when he transforms. The manga points out that it's not just dust, in the USJ arc, Izuku sees it mixing with the dust. And All Might lets off a tell-tail steam when his time is running low.

I think this quirk manifested when All Might felt most compelled to /hide/. I haven't read Vigilantes so i don't know if he steams in that prior to his injury but it would make sense that, as All Might lost muscle mass and began looking significantly different than this personal identity, smokescreen developed to hide the transformation.

Now, Banjo is the first one I'm stumped on bc I can't figure out how it translates to All Might's power. Best I can think of is sense it's the most outwardly different quirk than the others, not something we can casually think is part of All Might's all-might-ness, i wonder if this is the only one he DIDNT develop. He had long-range attacks using a form of airforce so he may never have felt the pressure it took to develop it. I'm not sure, what do you think?

Hikage, though, is also fairly obvious. Danger sense is all but confirmed in vigilantes (I saw a scan or two) but also as the TOP PRO, we've seen All Might elude to feeling uneasy and can easily find crime/danger.

The third user's quirk, Fa Jin, is basically an all Might smash. During the USJ, we see All Might punch the noumu 300 times before delivering a huge smash after building up the power. TBH, I'm still a little unclear of how Fa Jin works but from what I've read, it's basically that.

Now, here comes the speculations.

What is the 2nd user's quirk.

I think it has to be a form of body manipulation. Based on how much All Might uses the other quirks passively, the only "that's just all might" thing we haven't explained is All Might's transformation. I think the second user has the ability to change his limbs. Hear me out. When we see 2 and 3 burst into to save First, 2 is pointing some kind of gun at First. We only see ONE hand. I thought it was just part of the gauntlets we see in the spirit form but now I think that gun IS his hand.

This is, tbf, my least convincing argument, at least in terms of the "all Might has all of the users quirks" theory. Bc yeah, that very well could be his arm but how does that translate to All Might's transformation?

Best I can theorize is that the quirk is a low level mutation quirk, sorta like a shape-shifting quirk? If we believe OFA grows in power than maybe it has limits and over time turns into the ability to completely reshape your body.

(If that's true, it's going to be kinda hilarious to see Izuku go full buff, lmao. Like can you imagine? Yikes. Though, he DID "arrange" his face to look like All Might but that's most likely a manga gag.)

Something else I've toyed with is the idea that it's a MENTAL quirk but now I think that's actually First's.

Think about it. How did ANYONE, even him, know he had the ability to pass on a quirk if everyone thought he was quirkless? I think First's quirk isn't "can pass on quirks" but rather, the ability to pass on quirks is part of a larger, connection quirk.

Maybe AFO is SO attached to his brother because they literally had a mental attachment/connection that First ends up severing when he's taken by 2 and 3. Then, he makes a connection to 2 and through their bond, First passes on the stockpiling. 2 is suddenly able to connect to 3 and that's enough for them to figure out what's going on.

Eventually, this connection of minds builds the void inside OFA where all the past users "live". Sometimes AFO can access it, forcing a connection or reopening the door that First shut on him.

I'm thinking this bc Bakugou sees Toshinori in the vestiges world. I think izuku and Bakugou have formed a connection, one Izuku could pass OFA onto him (but won't bc it's too powerful for anyone else now) and they are now able to share that subtle connection like First and 2.

(Maybe Izuku has made that connection with EVERYONE. Maybe the entire class gets brought in on it and is boosted by OFA's shared power. Or maybe Izuku extends that connection to Shigaraki and that's how he's saved)

bungus: he’s a crier. he had that whole ‘emotionally repressed in every single way’ thing going on for a few years until he figured out it’s okay to show emotion actually and he never went back. he’s so emotional all the time. he’ll cry if someone hugs him. he cries if a cat (or one of his teammates) does something cute. aroujd christmas time he sits in the living room watching shitty hallmark movie after movie surrounded by tissues just screaming and crying it’s kind of sad to watch but no one stops him bc he seems to need it. thanks for the crabs babe ily/p

applejack headcanons in a sort of timeline i have in my head based on the flashbacks/statements in the show lol this is gonna get long i apologise

aj is born in the sweet apple acres barn to bright mac and pear butter :D

we get the apple family reunion episode flashback where she is lichrally baby asking for apple fritters 🥺

she grows up a bit, just by family gene pool luck shes a strong little fucker and as she grows her family realises she's not just physically strong but strong willed too, it becomes a running joke that shes secretly part mule with how stubborn she can be :P

bright mac had a dog from when he was younger that he loved with all his heart, big mac loved him too but applejack thought was a grumpy old lump of a beast she just Did Not Like This Animal you know how kids can be lmaooo

applejack and big mac dont really leave the farm all that much, theyre homeschooled by their parents and granny smith so, generally they dont have that many friends their age in their childhood, they say hi and play a bit with fillies and colts they pass while helping out with deliveries, aj and rarity possibly have a few interactions through this but nothing really sticks at this point, they know each others names and thats probably it, the apple siblings are a big hit with usual customer and ponies who sell them things in the market

pear butter teaches aj how to play the guitar and she practices until her hooves hurt, her ma is very proud of her, they like to play duets when they have some alone time :] then, deciding to branch out from that applejack also picks up other instruments like the banjo and the fiddle, they find out she has quite a knack for music! (applejack is only slightly disappointed she doesnt get her cutie mark from it, but unlike applebloom would be in the future, she doesnt mind all that much, after all granny smith always said it'd come with time 😌)

not long after little applebloom is born we get the great seedling episode flashback which is a turning point in applejack, a moment like finding out santa or the tooth fairy isnt real, she matures a little bit that day, gains more of the work ethic we see in her as an adult

around this time is when bright mac and pear butter die :( i dont have a concrete headcanon on How they die but the dangerous trade routes the apples have to take to make deliveries may have had something to do with it, or maybe they were trying to protect the farm from something coming from the everfree forest, im not sure

the rest of the apple family make their way to sweet apple acres to give their condolences and help out in any way they can around the farm while our apples grieve :( its sad but it brings aj and big mac closer than they'd ever been

after shes recovered a little from that, i think aj kind of loses herself, i mean how can you not after losing both parents :(( so she decides to leave the farm in the hopes she'll be able to find herself again in manehattan, this is the cutie mark chronicles flashback and where she realises she belongs in ponyville, Runs home and gets her cutiemark

after a little bit, to help her become a little bit more social with foals her age, applejack goes to camp friendship where she meets little coloratura and the two Immediately click, aj gives her new best friend the nickname rara and they're practically inseparable the whole summer, their friendship starts to grow into something more but rara is heading back to manehatten after camp and applejack belongs back in ponyville, so they decide to give a lonb distance relationship a try, they manage to exchange letters back and forth for a long time, ultimately deciding a long distance relationship wasnt gonna work so they mutually decide to break up but still stay pen pals! after a while, the letters stop and they become just a memory in one anothers minds

sweet apple acres eventually returns to a business as usual state, with groups of relatives stopping by the farm now and again to give a helping hoof considering its now run by a late-middle aged lady, two children and a baby lol, applejack, while still doing a lot of tree bucking, is starting to take on a more maternal figure role in applebloom's life as well as being her sister, her and big mac feels more responsible and protective of the foal since she would be growing up with no ma and pa, they sort of took on those roles, applejack more intensely i guess i just see her as having strong maternal instincts embedded in her or something lol, but she for sure isnt "single mom"ing it, with granny smith and other relatives ready to take the little bugger when aj needs to get stuff done :P it takes a village and all that lmao

since at this time aj and big mac are starting to go into town more often and are free to do as they please as long as their chores get done, they start actually interacting more with teens their age in ponyville! applejack starts hanging out with fillies like rarity who she had known in passing but now could finally get to know and the cake's new apprentice and ponyvilles youngest party planner, pinkie pie

after starting to hit some awkward growth spurts as she reaches her teens lol, she starts taking an interest in the business side of the farmwork too, dealings with customers, looking into trade routes stuff like that, this is when the where the apple lies flashback takes place i fuckin love that episode please watch it, and this starts applejack's lifelong promise to never lie ever again which she keeps bc shes a legend as fuck <3

one day aj notices cloudsdale passing through probably to start preparing ponyville for the next season, and she hears a Thud coming from a row or two over from where she's working, she goes over to investigate to find a pegasus filly shaking off what aj can only assume was a crash, she asks if shes alright, n the filly is like of course i am im so tough toughest around actually thanks<3 and aj is internally like hm. this kids kinda annoying. they introduce themselves and applejack finds out rainbow dash is looking for her friend fluttershy, she likes to come down from cloudsdale to play with animals or something, but applejack hasnt seen any yellow pegasi fillies around so the little blue filly says thanks anyway and zips off at what aj can only describe as probably the speed of light, she somehow has a strange feeling this isnt gonna be the last she sees of this kid

she turns out to be right when shes invited to a happy visit to ponyville from cloudsdale party thrown for rainbow and fluttershy, apparently rainbow had bumped into pinkie while asking around ponyville for any idea where fluttershy and of course pinkie Had to make an event out of it once she had helped rainbow find her friend, the party was of course a lot of fun rainbow and aj somehow managed to turn every party game into a competition and despite their first impressions of one another they actually got along really well and gained a good amount of respect for each other, aj eventually found fluttershy sort of hiding away from most of the party and fluttershy actually opened up a little after talking with aj bc of how calming her presence was for her

over the next few years the five got to know each other quite well, anytime cloudsdale passed by rainbow and fluttershy would drop into ponyville to hang out or just say hi, and once they were old enough they moved into their ponyville houses and the five of them became just a regular friend group youd see hanging out on the streets of ponyville, fluttershy helps aj pick out a border collie puppy for help with wrangling critters on the farm (applebloom was getting too old to be sent off to mindlessly run after little animals all the time and she had started going to school so she wasnt around as much lmaoo) and just as a companion for applejack, she names her Winona :]

and then after those few years Twilight shows up! you know the rest from there :P

here’s a though i’ve been pondering over - if the main characters from gg were musicians, what type of musicians do you think they would be? like in terms of what genres they would play in, artists that you think they’d be like, etc.

Wow anon this is exactly my brand i love you for asking this. Buckle up this post shalt be long >:)

(I know many of the cast have had music careers but I’m not really that up on them, this is more my impressions of their characters than them.)

I’ll start with the Humphreys bc they are the ones I’ve thought about the Most.

Like, I see Dan as the folk-punk type, a poet-with-a-guitar type. Frank Turner and Brian Fallon are two of my favorite songwriters, and their writing has a very Dan Humphrey Professional Yearner kind of vibe (And when I’m writing Dan-centric fic which is all my fic tbh I listen to them A Lot). Hozier and Phoebe Bridgers also carry a similar energy, though Hozier is more on the blues/folk side & Bridgers is more indie pop meets country. He’s mostly a guitar guy, but has the skill to branch out into other similar instruments, (he gets a banjo and mandolin just for the challenge). Ivy and I have talked a lot about the idea of pianist!Dan, which I also find v appealing, but I haven’t thought much beyond: Dan playing this Chopin...

Jenny, my best girl, I’ve thought about it and exchanged many a message with @bisexualdanhumphrey about Jen. She has this fascinating, bluesy & raw kind of voice. She’s a vocalist primarily, but can play her way through most chord progressions on a keyboard, she has a ukulele that she loves. Really, she can pick up an instrument for an afternoon and do pretty well, which annoys her brother to no end (“I’ve been playing for 12 years and she figures it out in a day?!”). As for musical acts I think are similar I always come back to Stevie Nicks and Halsey, for the vocals and the vibes. There’s actually an artist I’ve been really into lately called Susan O’Neill (she goes by SON some places) and when I listen to her I think “That’s Jenny’s voice”

Throwing Eric in bc I don’t have much to say about him, but I made him Beth in my Little Women au and I loooooooooved writing baby virtuoso Eric. Eric & Liszt. That is all.

Vanessa is a drummer in my brain. Like a pop-punk drummer. Ivy actually has this fic in which she plays piano in a band which is an idea I also love - like a Carole King/Sara Bareilles kind of vibe. Maybe she joins her sister’s band? Vanessa and Dan on tour with Ruby, picture it…

Blair as a musician I imagine a couple of ways. If we’re going the classical route, I can see her being really into something that requires a lot of technical skill, like the harp. (Slightly related: listen to this performance, the harp is so gorgeous I love it.) Ooh OOH, and from being a harpist she goes to become a conductor. I can SO see Blair Waldorf as an orchestra conductor. If we’re going a more pop route, I think Blair’d be like one of her beloved chanteuses, singing jazz standards and French classics a la Edith Piaf, or like Robyn Adele Anderson, or like Zoey Deschanel in She & Him (an au of Dair as She & Him…?)

Serena is another enigma. The easy answer would be to go with S the pop diva. I’ve said before that Kesha’s whole journey as an artist really resonates with Serena’s character, so I could see that—the character of the “party girl” that evolves into this lovely, zany blend of pop & country & rock & whatever the hell she wants. (Cowboy Blues is literally a SVDW character study. All of High Road is honestly) The other idea I had when I got this ask is Serena the Band Kid. But I see her going for the low brass section, bc the chillest, most easily charismatic people I know have been low brass players. Just, Serena playing trombone and euphonium makes me very happy.

Nate...idk, friend. He doesn’t particularly strike me as the artsy type, like he would play an instrument because his parents made him (reccing yet another Ivy fic because they Get It). I could see him doing something low key, like playing bass maybe in the band I made Dan, Vanessa, and Jenny form above. Bass is also like, the steady supportive thing in an ensemble, which I think suits our Natie. Or, if Nate were a band kid with Serena, I could see him doing something himbo-ish like drumline.

I am first and foremost an opera person, and a fun habit me and my friends have is thinking about “if this were an opera, what voice types would the characters be?” (my college roommate and I spent a whole evening brainstorming Mean Girls the opera once--before the musical was even a thing, so fight me Tina Fey), so I have thought a bit about that too…

Like Nate is def a lyric baritone, because they are the himbos of opera: comedic, handsome, drink the respect women juice-- a la Figaro in Barber or Escamillo in Carmen. Dan is a Puccini spinto tenor (more on the Rondine & Boheme side of the spectrum). Because of the Pining. Blair is a soprano, like a Musetta or Donna Anna or Marschallin or Magda in Rondine: romantic, but can cut a bitch. Serena is a Rossini mezzo, like Rosina or Cenerentola: bubbly, charismatic, kind, loves to pull one over on men. Jenny is a mezzo of the kind I’d like to call Gay, like Komponist or Octavian in Rosenkav - a bit more dramatic and nothing heterosexual about em. Vanessa is also a mezzo (I am one too, okay #lowvoicesupremacy) like, Susan Graham.

beginners guide to the beatles

made one of these a long time ago but i'm surprised by how short it was. so here we go again. doing it right this time lol.

john winston lennon. later in his life known as john winston ono lennon.

born on october 9, 1940

i believe in astrology bc how does john just happen to be a libra

when john was four he started living with his aunt mimi who acted more as his mother figure

his mother, julia, remarried and would visit him quite a bit.

it was julia who taught john how to play banjo and piano. and she bought his first guitar.

they both had a deep love for music and rock n roll

he never really thought of her as his mother but more as a cool friend i suppose

aunt mimi was more rough on him and did the disciplining

his father was never really present growing up and his uncle passed away when he was young

he thought he was a curse for the men in his family

he had five half siblings. two of them, julia and jacqueline, he was pretty close to. the other three he barely knew.

2020 has been an absolute shit show but i decided to take a few minutes to remind myself that this year wasn’t a total wash, and that some good things actually did happen this year, so excuse me while ya girl gets a little corny on main <3

so. good things that happened this year:

literally just january 2020. i traveled all the way to oxford on my own without any massive fuck-ups. i went to a conference where i didn’t know anybody, was friendly to people, talked about my research with some level of confidence. THEN i went to scotland to meet my internet friend of 11 years in person for the first time! and we spent a few days hanging out and i got to meet his friends and family and coworkers and it was so much fun!!!

in february i made the goal to practice music every day, a goal which i followed through on, and as a result i’ve gotten so much better at my instruments, especially guitar. i’ve gotten so comfortable with the guitar and am pretty close to being able to just, like, totally shred like a rock goddess

related: i got back into song writing. like insanely into song writing. i wrote a ton of music, including a few songs i’m actually really proud of and will maybe record and share one day if i can ever get the courage to record my singing lmao

also related: i learned how to play ukulele and banjo! i really didn’t have much interest in learning either of these instruments until quarantine boredom hit but i’m glad i did bc i’m having a lot of fun with them

i passed my preliminary exam and became a phd candidate, and i MAY hate grad school currently but i’m still proud of all the hard work and perseverance that went into achieving candidacy (not to mention that now i’ve met all the requirements to leave with my masters if i choose to <3)

i took my last class ever. after twenty years of non-stop schooling i will never have to take another test or do another homework assignment unless i decide to which is sooo freeing

i dyed my hair blue, something i’ve dreamed of since i was thirteen years old

i pierced my own ears, which some might argue is not a good thing, but i’m happy with how it all turned out sooo i’m putting it on the list

i more or less overcame my email anxiety. i’ve drastically reduced the amount of time i spend agonizing over wording, and this is something i have struggled with literally since high school so i’m proud of myself <3

i wrote over 67,000 words for nanowrimo, making it my most productive year ever by 6,000 words. and while a lot of these words were super stream of conscious and will need to be rewritten, it really helped me figure out all the intricate details of my wip. i was also pretty involved in my local nanowrimo group, which is the first time i’ve been particularly active in a virtual writing community since the days of figment.com back in like. 2013 lmao.

i’ve put a lot of time and money into decorating my apartment and it looks really good!

i’ve watched a lot of tv shows and movies i hadn’t seen before, rather than watching my favorites a billion times like i normally do

overall 2020 has obviously not been a good year. both for the world in general and for me individually. BUT!!! plenty of good things happened (to me, individually, at least) and idk. just writing all this out helped me feel less pessimistic about 2021

OOOH ok!!! ok ths is HARD bc my opinions on music change a lot so instead ill list off like. top 5 musicians that are Big Inspirations 2 me!!! (in no particular order.. beware of infodumping fhdjd)

1. putting alan menken and the sherman brothers in one point bc disney musicians is the same.. but like u listen 2 the music these dudes created and they are absolute earworms??? fuckn iconic??? epic nostalgia moments...

2. lemon demon/neil cicierega! the mouth trilogy is jokes, yeah, but how he can take unlikely songs and just mash them together to create a weird bop is honestly So Cool and shows that hes kind of a genius when it comes to music theory and just. how music Works??? dissecting a lot of his tunes helps me figure out how chord progressions Work. also spirit phone is gay culture

3. it is with a heavy heart tht i put david bowie and the beatles in one point.... bc its good tunes made by bad folks (i mean 3ish of the beatles are bad but george wasnt too terrible afaik). both for nostalgia reasons and also bc they helped me get more into Playing music since their songs are Very accessible (as in, easy as hell to play DHSJDH) and also rlly fun to play!!! i only rlly listen 2 covers of bowie songs now tho bc they just Sound Better

4. toby fox! sorry but i blame toby fox fr my leitmotif fetish™ if ur soundtrack has a motif that is sprinkled out thru each song i fuckn lose my Shit. but toby fox uses that technique in such a cool way where he tells a story through the music itself. i mean every song is linked to another song in one way or another, and for good reason. The Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans is a good example of his use of leitmotif to convey something going on Behind The Scenes. idk b4 i write an essay abt ths ill stop i jus love the undertale sounstrack n how cohesive it is

favorite family relationships/friendships you’ve played out?

Brace yourselves.

Empire is a very special place where I’ve been able to play s o m a n y amazing relationships out, let’s compile a list, shall we~

First and foremost— JJ & Harv Jarv the main man. Rip Marv Jarv the best uncle to ever exist unkno. I really do adore Autumn for playing my character’s father bc like who does that, no one. I appreciate that she can bring to life a father figure and make him so believable and accurate? Despite being in her twenties and... not.... a father... yeah. He truly is a lovable character and the fact that we can play off each other for inspiration/how our characters act and react to things is AMAZING. We’re like a guide for each other, ily and Harv mwah.

Liam & JJ have this incredible dynamic that I think is so fun to write out, he’s so human and you can clearly see that in everything he does. A true man. Accompanied with Millie the Jarvis fam is complete and we love all its members and everything they choose to do with their characters. I like that we’re able to headcanon things about their past without talking in depth about it with each other because we just know the family, we always figure a way for it to work out and fit in with their crazy shapeshifter hating asses. Liam making bets he can’t win and JJ taking advantage of that, Liam getting attacked by wildlife or spending all his money on Arizona tea— it just works.

Juju (JJ & Julian), JJ & Jonah— connections with the Rhodes are quite possibly the most important for her and Julian and Jonah are among those. I’m grouping them together bc I see them hanging out and doing random shit together don’t fight me. Junie B can be playful, sassy, serious or bitter with either of them and they always have the most entertaining (random?) threads. We still have SO MANY plots to explore with them and there is SO MUCH more potential, but we will get to that yes, yes we will. The shapeshifter hatred is strong in Juju, and burrito love is strong in JJonah.

CJ & JJ, the unholy,,, duo. They’re the best of both worlds, the brains and the brawn, the skill and the looks. Fight me. The hunting thread we had that lasted for literally 8 months will forever be engrained in my fucking memory, it has impacted JJ a lot and she’ll always bring up that evil sai blade, believe me. CJ pushes her where any other character couldn’t, it wouldn’t make sense, but with her it does. Among the most important characters for her to interact with for sure, period.

JJ & Hendrix are kinda like Liam & JJ in a way but also not because he’s, like, old. From inappropriate to childish jokes and jabs, they cover it all. It’s just rp crack like, we write mostly dialogue of random shit they bring up and I feel like I’m rping Wronah again. Again, we can headcanon shit and it makes sense right away. Let me picship my tvd universe fcs in peace, thanks.

Moving onto my witch bitch— Corrina & Lucian: two incredibly similar yet somehow different witchy woo siblings, very close in age and personality. They’re both so completely bitter and pretentious it kills me, it makes their interactions ridiculous and gives me drive to rp Corrina whenever I get the chance. I’m ready to explore future plots with them, there is so much we can do (Bordeauxs, vamp biz, Tallis family line bullshit) that I think will blow up the dash. Let’s do more six paragraph threads.

Hudson & Corrina make me wanna kms lbr. Her complex makes no sense but somehow Beca understands it and plays it out so beautifully in game. Hudson is a model older brother, even now as a serial killer black magic witch gone awry, he looks out for his siblings’ best interests at every waking moment which makes it difficult for me to be mean to him in replies like? I want to hug him, but I also want to jump him, climb him like a tree bc why are you using Justin Hartley the man, the myth, the legend. Planning out threads is like... a no, because somehow we figure out where they’re going through crude jokes and assumptions, and their relationship has evolved into the most extra thing on this planet.

Corrina & Kels are like, idk, I love Kels bc he’s normal in comparison to everyone else in the family idgi. He makes me happy, he makes Corrina happy. Nothing she holds against Hudson could ever be held against him, nothing she punishes Lucian for could ever be applied to Kelsey the main man because he is so good it hurts. Guardian angel plant brethren with a heart of gold, just living his life and helping others, being a good big brother (little brother, too) and mentor. With the recent addition of Laine there is more of this to come.

Elise & Corrina, Lola & Corrina— my very favorite friendship trio. I can say with the utmost certainty that my favorite species to play are witches. The power and the connection to the earth they have is really therapeutic?? w/e I really enjoy writing them, so to have three amazing witches to explore this with outside of immediate family connections is just astonishing. Coco and Lolo met and were friends before Eli and the gang were, but I feel such strong pulls from both of them. It was only when Elise came to the city that they became the best friends they are today. With the similarities between the Blossom and Buttercup, Bubbles is a breath of fresh air. A bright light shining on a field of flowers, keeping them strong, showing different perspectives and bringing some much needed niceness and humility to the table. Elise will always have two loving, supporting witch families to fall back on, the Carringtons and Tallises welcome her.

Corrina & the Vales. Close from a young age, exploring the frey and subways together, casting spells and shifting into bears—- these supernatural clusterfucks have it covered. Sheamus, the newest edition to the Vales (god bless an Autumn), is what I would call the perfect big brother, and I can see Corrina envying the Vales for their relationship with their eldest brother, wishing she could let go of her superstitions to go back to how she used to view things, *cough cough hudson*. Addison, fav vale of resident bratty Tallis, they have a very nice relationship. Maybe they can bond over Noah fucking them up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ or maybe just more over ice cream. She’s seen her in diapers, Addison was a mess after Halloween and Devon’s death and the bitch was there to see her then, too. We are a #teamAddison fanbase over here, or I’d like to say Corrina is, but family is important to her so I really need to explore that with her and figure out where she stands on that— #teamHudson can choke. Levi is like,, idk she had a crush on him when she was younger but she’s comfortable enough around him to this day that she can almost forget about that. Threatens to kill him on the daily when he brings it up, their dynamic has me over the moon. Where a stranger with his personality would undoubtedly annoy her, she finds him charming and happens to see him as good company. And last but not least, Rosalie. The youngest Vale has a special spot in Corrina’s heart, a spot reserved for the ‘you-annoy-me-but-i-would-also-kill-for-you’ type people in her life. One day she loves her, the next she can’t stay far enough away from her. But they’re the same age and are family friends, I’d like to think they’d do anything for each other given the right circumstances.

As for characters from past rps it’s literally all wren who am i kidding,, here I go. Once again, BRACE.

Wren & Savannah, let’s talk about wREN AND SAVANNAH. Cousins turned siblings when we moved rps, but I could argue the cousin dynamic was better, don’t hate me. I used Ansel why? Idk, but it was a good choice, and Savannah was his reason for doing everything idc. She cared for him like a cousin, sister, and mother all in one— from when he had not-so-great parents to when they were siblings and had the BEST parents in all the land. Savannah Fontaine was a fucking rock, she never let up, never let anyone see her at her worst, never said anything she didn’t want to and she was so amazing. I love this bitch I could talk for hours and I will. Their dynamic was like,, well, Wren as the youngest was very goofy, he had his own way of thinking and was basically in his own little world. But Sav somehow brought him out of that and made him look at the bigger picture, asked impossible things of him (take over the coven why don’t you) and didn’t treat him like a stupid kid whereas so many others did. The overwhelming pain and love we felt when we played them was special, because I’ve never rped siblings that impacted me or my character so much, as weird as that sounds. Bonnie & Wren are the best brotp I’ve ever played out to this day. Kori and I have a knack for playing best friend duos (enter Junny), but Wronnie was a special one. People shipped them which was.. weird, but Bonnie was a fucking mess and idk why they were friends other than we just made them friends. It developed into something so fucking amazingly beautiful that it killed me. I still read their threads whenever I think about them and envision so many things we could do with them now. Having a past like her’s wasn’t something that always pushed them closer but separated them at times. A hunter and a witch, weird unlikely friends I’d say, but would have done anything for each other. They were there for each other through parental struggles, advice about ship shit, supernatural problems, and just about anything you can think of. I wanna thank this bitch for playing the best best friend I’ve ever had in or out of rp, my life is sad.

Jonah & Wren, Benji & Wren. banjo bonjo, bingo bong the best times of my fucking life. Here I am praising Autumn again, my fucking queen, #1 bitch back off. Ok. I’m gonna put Jonah in a trash can. Benji is a friend with stilts. National egg day. Rp crack at its finest, I can’t make this shit up. Ted Cruz is an icon— these are just inside jokes sorry.

Wrenny (Wren & Lenny) were uh............ they had issues like, she was bad juju magic he was light shit and he hated that she did it. A good brotp until he went searching through her mind and she sent him flying fifteen feet backwards, then they were a notp. Like severely, Wren could probably kill her bc he hates the bitch. What reason, you ask? idk. Can we talk about Wriana (Wren & Diana) in the same paragraph,, I’m gonna do it. They’re both played by Marty anyway what do I care. I literally never have ships and when you ship with marty it’s an experience. Like I said: rainbow ringlets, mind blown, I am nothing. Mozzarella fucking fiends, they’re in love, virgin prince and princess.

Vince & Ivan and I’m mentioning this bc when do I play siblings with Martha. Rat kings, kings of not bathing, kings of vampiric murder, kings of hating original vampires. Uh idk I really liked that they were from Bulgaria or some shit, google translate is my friend tbh, their whole predicament was a lot. Surprise bitch, I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me, sike. Vince couldn’t control him, it was a lot, Ivan hated him, but also like his only living relative so whatever we’re brothers let’s go have some fun. U feel.

Dancing Demon (and Friends)

since the general HC is that the game takes place somewhere in the 70′s and me being a slight fan of disco..this was bound to happen at some point.

stealin @shinyzango‘s 2D Bendy AU for the idea bc dancing with friends is always better and in celebration of the 1k followers

The music halls were empty..well aside from a few alarming discoveries about the ink puddles littering the studio not being just ink. But a few swings of the axe seemed to solve that problem more than anything else. Hearing a familiar name with Sammy Laurence it brought back some interesting memories as Henry wandered into the recording studio.

“Looks like this place is still as much of a mess as I remember it being..Wow even the instruments are still here? ..Almost feels like the bend would be coming back from lunch any minute now..”

Inspecting..along with plucking and tapping a few keys he found out they were all still perfectly playable..Almost as if someone had been tuning them regularly this entire time. A possible warning sign that Henry wasn’t the only one lurking in the studio, but one he ignored as a small smile played over his face. Picking up the worn banjo he took a seat, setting the piece of paper holding Bendy on the music stand before him.

“You used to play Henry? I never knew that!”

“Heh..I sort of got the jist of it years ago when the studio was still going strong..Hard to find willing pose subjects for a lot of shots so we made due with staff or mirrors and cramps. The band was always more than happy to help out with particulars and over time I just picked it up watching them for so long.”

“Ohh! Do you know any songs? Maybe even one of mine~?”

“Hoo boy..it’s been a while since I’ve listened to anything the “Dancing Devil Darlin’ “ calls music..But I think I can remember it going something like this?”

The first few notes were hesitant but slowly grew more sure as Henry mentally dusted off how the music to “Sheep Songs” went..Bendy recognizing one of his own tunes grinned and danced along as Henry’s fingers grew more fluid and brave along the strings. The music room slowly filled with the soft happy tune and laughter, gently pushing back the gloom the studio had worked hard on exuding if only for a few minutes. Henry’s worn face wore a bigger smile as he watched Bendy dance along to his plucking melody, it certainly wasn’t the best..He could almost see Sammy storming in to criticize his amateur methods and positioning..

“That was fun Henry! I haven’t heard that song in ages..you know any more songs?”

“Well..I do know a few but they’re not really ones the studio made? Just some I sort of grew to love after hearing them so much on the radio...Dunno how well they’ll sound on a banjo haha.”

“Aww well you can give it a shot still, I’m sure it’ll sound good! And besides I’d love to hear other music, I didn’t know there was more out there than the ones we made in the studios..”

Oh..right, Bendy never had seen the outside world had he? He only knew the studio and barely any of that even..The only music he’d know were possibly the ones the studio produced for the cartoons..And those were about as old as he was now..But seeing Bendy dancing about like in the old cartoons, and giggling like it was the best thing in the world..how could Henry say no to that? He did know one song that he figured Bendy would enjoy..even if it was a bit silly.

“Well...there is this one called “Dancing Queen” I just know the few chords to, but it’s better sung.”

“Ohhh A dancing queen? Never heard of her, lets hear it Henry!”

A small hinting of red had cropped up to his cheeks as he started plucking away the first chords of one of his favorite songs..and started singing along to the words bubbling up in his mind as it mentally played the original. Bendy watched Henry begin to sing before bouncing in time..it sounded nothing like what he was used to, but whatever it was was pretty good in his mind! A Dancing Devil was not picky about what music he could dance to after all, and this one begged for a few moves.

Before too long Henry found himself getting up and dancing along slowly with his own voice picking up volume, Bendy trying to match his own moves and voice to that of the animator. It was a silly sight honestly..but both were having a outright good time, if Henry’s swaying hips and grin were any evidence.

“And when you get the chance, you are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet only seventeen~! Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine ooooh yee~aah!”

“You can dance, you can jii-iive, having the time of your life~! Ooohh see that girl, watch that scene, dig it the Dancing Queen~!”

Bendy was surprisingly quick to pick up the song, and much to Henrys embarrassment his own idea of what dancing consisted of. But fortunately Bendy managed to pull it off better than he did, he didn’t mind since both of them had had a fun time. The music hall slowly died back down as Henrys voice faded away and the familiar gloom slowly crept back in hesitantly.

“Henry that was amazing! I didn’t know you could sing either! You should of joined me in my shows, we would of done great!”

“Hah..thanks but I don’t think the worlds quite ready for my voice, the original is alot better than hearing me accompanied by banjo..maybe if we get out of here I can show you..”

“Oh, you mean that!? You’d be actually willing to take me outta here with you and show me stuff like music??”

Bendy’s expression look like a small child being told they could get whatever they wanted in a candy store..Outright amazement and pure excitement were written all over his face. Henry hadn’t considered it before now...But Bendy deserved better than this rundown place..He wasn’t sure how he’d pull it off but that bridge would come in time for him to cross..

“Sure thing Bendy, I know you’ll like it as much as I do.”

“Well c’mon then Henry what are we waiting for? Let’s find Joey and get outta here~”

“Yep, let’s get going..staying here this long without hearing Sammy’s voice yelling about me butchering music just doesn’t sit right..He might even come out of thin air to tell me off.”

“Oh jeepers..Sammy sounds like a spooky kinda guy..”

“Nahh he was alright, just...particular about things..Though by the sounds of that one tape..he might be something else now..hopefully not here.”

He doubted anyone was left in the studio..even though the perfectly tuned instruments would clearly say otherwise. Setting the banjo back down in its place and taking the doodle back up he started back along his way..

Hey this reminds me of what we discussed with Banjo and Perch! So is this a sensory thing from Tate? Or did he somehow inherent Ford’s sort of shyness and need to wear clothes?

That’s what I was thinking of when I wrote this lol.

A combination of the two, I think. They figure out that loose clothes don’t work as well, bc Tate wants the sort of pressure you can get from tight clothes. But he also won’t be satisfied with just like, something being placed on him for the pressure. He needs to be covered. No being Nakey for Tate MerGucket-Pines (or whatever they do for his last name).

first and foremost: he’s a bard and you can pry that hc from my cold dead hands. he’s a fucking. sciencey ass, nerd ass bard and i love him and also he’s my bf god i mean. okay this is obvious but cha boi fids is in every science department of everything ever. he works very, very closely w/ barry during ipre and they’re like. best friends they’re nerd best friends ( joa. listen to me. hey joa ? hEY JOA ?? have u considered,,,,barry / fiddleford,,,, we goin balls deep into this au ) they’re constantly talking abt shit the rest of them literally do not for a Second understand ( except for sometimes lup & taako when they care enough to pay attention bc they’re both Secret Nerds ). & like. for a vast number of years, his addition to the team is just…. exploring ? jotting down notes of the life here, taking samples from giant mushrooms that give off a poisonous gas in attempt to understand it, figuring out new ways to use the plants on this world, trying to understand the life here. it’s not really… necessary ? bc they know that like.. either this planet’s getting destroyed or they’re getting the hell off it but fidds is kinda bored and just. so naturally inquisitive that it’s a nice way to spend his downtime. him and barry & ( im assuming ) lup r Key Founders in figuring out how to control the light of creation in the later years. & it takes decades ( decades of tests, decades of samples and experiments and rigorous researching ), but they finally come to sort of.. understand how it works & how to use it to their advantage & make it into something powerful and destructive enough to destroy the hunger or, at the very least, prevent it from it’s path of destruction. and, bc i gotta have those good good similarities to gf canon, fidds gets pulled in Too Deep. they ( likely barry or davenport but whom knows ) start working on something. they’re close to the end, now. close to the end of a century and they, with fiddleford’s help, have figured out how to harness the light of creation. and fiddleford…… like, he knows it’s bad. lucretia has expressed her worry about this & so they know how dangerous it could be, how much damage it could cause, but they’re so determined and so confident & he’s loyal to a fault and, again, this is his life’s work now ? he’s in too fuckin deep & he’s way in over his head. the memory erase for fiddleford would work…. very similarly to how it did for davenport i think ? bc like 1.) i gotta stick 2 gf canon & 2.) fidds is just. he’s so dedicated to it ? he loves the mission and he loves what they’re doing and his work and he loves learning and like. he’s… pretty young & everything he’s ever worked for has been… for this ? & for ipre and the relics and the hunger and a way to put an end to this cycle so it’s like. everything he is ? also true to gf canon, fiddleford makes himself forget. what’s he’s seen, what he’s done, what he’s created… it all just. becomes too much for him, so fidds is the first to figure out the properties of the void fish & he uses it on himself & he makes himself forget. only small things, at first. shit like… his favorite food or his favorite color or where he came from or the fact that he has a wife or a newborn son or the fact that he knows how to play the banjo. but then it’s… the larger stuff. he makes himself forget the relics and the light of creation and the hunger and his parents & his friends back on a planet he can’t remember the name of & then his team. he forgets barry & lup & davenport & everyone he’s come to love here in this past century and it’s all. gone ? and it… saves them, in a way, because though lucretia has seen firsthand what it will do to them, she knows can use the voidfish on the rest of them and take back these relics and take back everything fiddleford’s dedicated his life to creating in this past century. uh, anyways lads,

The Songs- January 2021

Travelling back to Montreal threw a wrench in some of my plans and like a lot of folks the winter break wasn't as productive as I'd hoped. I tried to force myself to write songs and shockingly that didn't work. I ended up focusing on other aspects of the project, researching and purchasing equipment, applying for funding from FASA (which I received!). I brainstormed lyrics and topics, learned and practiced songs by artists I admire and want to emulate, like Gillian Welch and Bonnie Riatt, and just set aside 30 minutes a few times a week to play chords on the banjo and see what happened, with no pressure to actually write anything. By the end of January my plans had solidified into 4 songs, 1 old and 3 new. I wanted to give a little background for them here, but the final order on the EP is still up in the air.

1. Apocolypse

This is a song I wrote in 2019 after listening to a podcast called How to Survive the End of the World. Hosted by two activist/author sisters, the podcast covers the realistic minutiae of 21st century survival, from housing to medicine to food cultivation, and also discusses the potential of disasters as a form of rapid political and social upheaval that can have positive as well as negative outcomes. With that rattling around in my head I wrote a song with a hypothetical story-line where Montreal has collapsed (the first lyric is "Meet me in the ashes of the biodome, turn right at the crater of the cross") but instead of a dystopian narrative it becomes a hopeful love-story about community connection and rebuilding.

2. The Scariest Part

This is an actual love song that I wrote in December when I was still on the west coast, reflecting on a relationship that started unexpectedly over the fall. I drove across the country with a friend who I'd been close to for a few years while quarantining together in the woods we confessed feelings for each other and started dating. Each verse of the song describes something that happened on our adventure out west and settling in the gulf islands, from automotive mishaps to night terrors, but re-iterates that none of that was as scary as the vulnerability of admitting our feelings and being open to the possibility of our friendship falling apart. Love is really scary and I tried to capture that.

3. Stay Warm (working title)

This song came out all in one piece one morning early in February. This was the ideal songwriting situation where I'd been trying to articulate an experience and a feeling that I couldn't really explain until suddenly it was a song that made more sense. The situation was that I was trying to get rid of a lot of clothing in preparation to move back to BC, and I was giving winter clothes away through social media to folks that needed them. In the course of that I noticed my clothes being gendered by strangers, who were talking about having too many "women's" sweaters or coats. I don't identify as a woman but I'm used to being seen that way and it's not a big deal (I tell myself) but I was surprised by how uncomfortable it felt to have strangers make assumptions about me that felt out of line with how I saw myself. It felt like having someone get your name wrong over and over again, or having them look slightly to your left the whole time you're having a conversation, but in a support group for folks who can't afford winter clothes it didn't feel at all appropriate to bring that up and try to explain. Writing the song about it and sharing an early draft on facebook (as a sneak peak of the whole project) helped me get support from friends and figure out how I really felt about the situation.

4. Queer Love

I want to try and end the EP on a happy note so I tried to write a cheery sing-along about how much I appreciate my queer community in Montreal, but it ended up being the hardest song to write! I redid it several times and even started recording one version before I decided it was too cheesy and I couldn't handle it (I figured this out because I tried to play it for my roommate so they could learn the chords and I couldn't do it). We'll see!
