its so frustrating how a lot of scu fans cant handle other sonic fans not having the exact same taste in sonic media that they do. like i feel like you can say something negative about literally any other sonic media on here and people generally wouldnt care that much but the second you say anything less than positive about the movies people start getting all weird about it and trying to argue with you ive had it happen to me and seen it happen to others as well .... like the sonic franchise is very big and has many different media types and writing styles not everyone is going to uncritically love everything. get over it ? im not trying to be mean but idk what else to tell you

#this isnt solely about the person who sent me that ask last night i was actually already thinking abut it before #(though it is very confusing that they did i literally havetn been talking about the movies lately they just yelled at me out of nowhere #i mean they apologized so no big deal i guess but like. huh)#i mean i understand not wanting to see a bunch of hate of something you like and its fine to disagree with peoples criticisms #but people are being VERY unreasonable about it when it comes to sonic 3 #cant help but wonder if this sort of behavior is a result of the fact that a lot of people acting this way got into sonic through the movie #after sonic's reputation improved a bit and dont know what constant widespread hate for everything sonic actually looks like #so they dont know how to handle criticism or opinions they disagree with regarding what sonic media is good or bad #and place sonic fans criticizing it because they love sonic and think sonic and its stories and characters deserves better #in the same category as people who just mindlessly hate on sonic for no reason #not that im saying anyone who likes the movies is a new fan or that new fans are fake fans but you get what i mean hopefully #also this is going into hater mode but personally. sonic 3 is one of the least deserving candidates of this type of defensiveness #like. for one its not that goodand actively disrespects the source material in so many ways. but thats more of a subjective opinion i guess #but also its a very popular and successful movie . most people who watched it liked it from what ive seen #randos on tumblr not liking it isnt taking away from that ??????#also paramount doesnt deserve your money anyway #like whats the point in defending it so hard . who cares..

You might have to click on some of them to get a better look at Hobie, sadly I don't have a video editor that allows me to make better edits than these :')

#This took so long to make lol #cause I had to edit every scene with Hobie from both versions so I could watch them right after one another to compare them #I did this with ALL the scenes he's in also the ones where he's on screen as spider-punk #but they only changed his filters in these scenes so it was a waste of time :')#sidenote: no it wasn't it's never a waste of time to look at hobie I just couldn't use it for my GIFset lol #I also made a bouns one but I'm not allowed to post more than 30 GIFs in one post apparently so I guess I just won't add it then...#but Hobie was basically filterless during all these scenes in the theatrical version #I like that they gave him more different filters in the digital version #the only change I don't like is in the first GIFs #cause like that one post pointed out it looks like they removed his lipstick for some reason #also really wish I had a better video editor so we could get a closer look at Hobie but I did my best with what I had #also slowed some of them down to get a better look at them #been having this idea for a while and now I finally finished it!#which means I can go back to working on my fics now #hopefully lol #also lemme know if there are some other scens you guys want me to make comparisons of #cause I have both versions #the theatrical release isn't the highest quality though so if you know where I can get my hands on a better version lemme know ;)#hobie brown #spider punk #miles morales #spider man #peter b parker #jess drew #miguel o'hara #spider man across the spider verse #across the spider verse #across the spiderverse #atsv #theatrical version

waow 2024 is almost dead!!! gone too soon. feels like it’s been a big year for me art-wise for many reasons, BUT. i’m making 2025 bigger.... hopefully....i’ve made some art goals for next year which i won’t explain in detail but they boil down to 1) do more studies 2) tackle my weaknesses (backgrounds, dynamic poses/angles, uhhh lots of stuff i am a one trick pony right now) 3) get into drawing comics, all of which are in preparation for 4) take my story ideas more seriously and get started on one of the many graphic novels living in my head. i have one in mind i HAVE to complete in my lifetime or i will die, but firstly i’m gonna mess around with some little standalone svanhildr comics perhaps. goat fans rejoice.
