i'm beginning to believe that my life is an au

here's a story from this weekend:

before we talk about last saturday, for context, this is what happened last year december.

it was my friend's birthday so we were invited to their place for a party. she warned me ahead of time that she also invited friends from uni (we're friends from wayyy back 7th grade) so i can prepare myself (i get socially anxious when i have no idea that i am about to meet a bunch of strangers).

on that same night, my friend whom i came to the party with needed to use the bathroom. apparently, my friend's (the host of the party) brother invited his friends too and it turns out one of his friends works part time as a bartender, so made us a drink. hence, when my friend needed the bathroom (on the 2nd floor of the house) the door to my friend's brother's room was open (for context, i've been friends with my host friend for soooo long so i know his brother as well, we're good lol) and saw his friends hanging out at his room. ngl i was tipsy with the alcohol the bartender made us sO I HAD THE COURAGE TO START A SMALL TALK BY COMPLIMENTING HIS MIX. he's cute ngl, i have a thing for men with long hair (he has long hair). we had a small talkㅡme standing in the hallway and him leaning his back on the doorframe of the room. after the conversation ended, everything started to sink in to me and i was like holy fuck i talked to a stranger wtfftwtfwtf BUT i brushed it off since i'll less likely meet him again lol so why panic 🤷🏻‍♀️

so when i was meeting her friends i was standing like 🧍🏻‍♀️, giving them a small smile and a wave when this girl suddenly came up to me with full of energy before hugging me tightly. i was shocked by the sudden physical contact and froze in place bc idk what to do. should i hug her back?? im still processing this sudden affection vsnshjsbsns anyway, so she was v friendly. she even invited me to the karaoke room and sat next to me the entire night. when i was getting used to talking to her and figured that our vibes click i took shots with her. she was fun to be with honestly. i had a great night because of her.

the following morning she added me to one of my social media accounts and because of that, my friends' began raising brows at me bc they think it was sus. she didn't add any of my other friends to the said social media app but only me even though we all interacted that night. that's why they think the girl likes me (we're both bi btw), even my friend who hosted the party thinks the same.

THE BOY IS THE BARTENDER WHOM I HAD A TIPSY SMALL TALK WITH IN THE HALLWAY!! MY GODDDDDD THE THREE OF US ARE SHARING A TABLE??!?!?!!?!?

- i’m imagining some universe where like. the slap and everything never happens but that also means pony never really has a reason to bond with darrel so it just stays tense and weird for years and eventually he’s like. 16/17 and johnnys 18/19 and everything’s just gotten worse and both of them are so tired of their lives here. pony sees some obscure movie at the theatre and/or reads a new age book that’s set in new york about queerness in some way (idk what movie and/or book. will have to research) a la i’ve seen it in the movies and in the books i’ve read, this place is real, it’s not just in my head btw. and pony brings this to johnny and excitedly tells him this plan he has to just. up and run away to new york. he can drop out and change his name and get new ids (it was the 60s tbf) and say he’s a year or two older and he’ll get a job too with johnny. that they don’t have to just dream about being far away from tulsa, so to speak, they can just. do it. the only thing stopping them is themselves and their fears

-pony going to the library and stealing maps and checking out like 10 books about travelling and saving money and about new york and. maybe one or two he hides about queerness

-them asking dally what new york is like and dally getting all pissed but not thinking much of it. then suddenly they’re vanished with all their belongings overnight and dally knows Exactly where they’d have gone. the gang has to follow them but they never catch up

-dally shooting up in bed one night like a week later at like 3am rushing over to the brothers house all i know where they are. they asked me about. about new york the other day. oh my fucking god and darrel’s all just??? new y— NEW YORK?? what the hell did you SAY TO THEM??

-frankly i think they’d wanna go and look after them but they’re poor and darry has a job so. they just put out missing persons requests and have no choice but to call it a day. darry feels guilty but they were never that close but. but soda??? soda knowing pony ran away from him??

-i think pony would leave some cryptic message in a copy of gone with the wind (ironic) addressed to soda in the cover before he leaves but soda literally doesn’t read so he probably doesn’t find it it for ages. something about how you were the only thing keeping me alive in tulsa but i gotta go be my own person now, get away from all of this shit

-darry turns what remains of pony’s room upside down inside out looking for anything but. there’s absolutely nothing left for him

-pony sends a letter back to soda a couple months later all were safe and sound in new york and we really miss you, sodapop, every day. tell dally new york ain’t as bad as he thought…he oughta give it another shot someday. maybe you too, soda. tulsa ain’t home to people like us, soda, you’ve gotta understand why we had to leave

-he sends his first letter without a return address yet bc he’s not ready for soda to know where he is but the next one!!!

-by then it’s been like six months and pony’s hair is bleach blond (smiles) and he looks healthy for maybe the first time really ever. pony sheepishly coming out from behind his friend in some goofy totally-not-pony outfit (bc he’s fallen in loveeee with fashion. btw.) and soda hugs him so fucking tight he swears he stops breathing for a minute

-you know…darry’s been real choked up since you left. you know he…he gets it, right? he’s like you. n’he’s real torn up you left when he couldn’t, honey.

-maybe you…could bring him here, too. there’s family here for him if..he wants it. he’s just gotta get brave like i did.

Nascar/racer au update

Wash was definitely a rebellious teenager, (he fucking almost blinded someone in middle school ffs)

So Wash, rebellious teenager starts illegally racing (lol he's 15 years old) this is how he meets the Freelancers, York is a 17 year old mechanic, he meets wash through connie, they form basically a team and Wash gets really close to all of them because he learns really easy, but being illegal racers ofc they would do othe illegal stuff, he meets felix and locus and everything starts going downhill on there

that's when smt traumatising happens, the group is starting to get torn apart, ash thinks it's all his fault

then he meets the Reds and Blues, they suggest he start racing legally so he could earn money and help everyone (york needs money for the bills for his eye, Maine needs surgery for his throat)

at the story of the fanfic he's 15 turning 16, by the end he's about........ maybe in his 20's?

the timeline of the au basically

• Wash wasn't physically abused as a child, more emotional and verbal abuse, one parent verbally abused him all the time and the other basically ignored his existence or were really dry with him, this leads to his rebelliousness and meets connie who is the one that introduces him to the freelancers

• His relationship with the Freelancers started off rocky as he was cautious around them, but York was the one that helped show him that he could trust them (even if they were sort of a bad influence)

• Wash was friends with felix and locus at the start but turns out it was all a big trick to sabotage his group aka the Freelancers, this is what causes the group to start splitting apart

• Wash wasn't planning on racing ever again but he meets the Reds and Blues, Tucker is the one that tells him that he should race again but legally, he tries it and wins, using that money to pay off York's medical bills for his eye, bc of this he considers racing even more

• The reason why he chose the name Loki for his racer name is bc he felt that the names "David", "Wash" and "Washington" were for personal use/only for friends and family, he was debating using the name Washington for his racer name but chose Loki as his cat refused to die no matter what, and he never wants to lose no matter what

• Around the time he's able to join big races, everyone is praising him because he's one of the youngest drivers, ONE of them, the others- fucking felix and locus, felix HATES wash bc Wash is rhe only person to have ever beaten him other then Locus, and seeing Wash win all these trophies pissed him off

• Wash used to think highly of the Freelancers and he still kinda does, but he understands now that they weren't a good influence on him but he still wants to help them even if everyone is out and about/separated, he made sure to announce in an interview that the reason why he's racing is because he wants to be able to support his family and friends (lol south would have definitely pretend to not care about Wash but go to the races so she could "be there for north/it's nice to be with the whole group again")

• YORKLINA!!!!! York's a mechanic and Carolina was an illegal racer, she personally trained Wash and helped him improve, since nascar teams need more then one driver, she ends up joining "Bloodgulch" and become the second driver

• Imagining during ine chapter Wash almost fcking gets assassinated as he's getting too good, he ends up showing up on SOUTHS door step bc after the incident his and her relationship went downhill fast, which in that moment south realises that it wasn't his fault at all as he wasn't even an adult yet, so obviously she helps him

• During the championship wash does a move no one else has done, aka the car flying in the air bc I really like the image of Felix driving while looking up like "whAT-" meanwhile Locus would probably be staring up at him in shock and amazement (Felix would get even more pissed about this and probably try to run wash off the road, while locus would admire washs skill and continue the race not to win but to have fun alongside wash)

The first AU who was put between these 4 Aus is Pantom Thief AU, because its going to be the main AU. The second AU is after despair AU which means despair was defeated. The third AU who always will be there is MY AU. More sploon au thoughts

Latte and espresso r both ex octarians, they grew up together and climbed the ranks quickly together at young ages: espresso was a weapons tech and latte became an elite squad leader (of other cacaolings who also defect i think, carmy arrow crunchy chip etc)

Latte heard calamari inkantation and was the first one who wanted to defect, she asked espresso to join her who was absolutely against it initially but came around eventually cus he mostly didn’t want to be alone in octo valley without her (would not say this out loud) and started to doubt his loyalties as well seeing latte have this sudden clarity

They studied the inkling language incredibly hard and cuz they r really smart they both r almost fluent, just with some occasional trips in grammar or pronunciation (they teach other dark cacaolings later on to help them integrate into inkling society quicker :]) but this helps them also quickly climb the ranks of the inkling turf war scene too

Again espresso uses inkbrush and latte uses octobrush. Espresso hates the octobrush but cant deny that latte is really good with it considering he sees it as a stunted inkbrush. They dont actually play on the same team normally since 2 brushes usually ruins weapon comps but they r known friends and compare and share techniques often so they r seen as a dual threat. Very close friends besides their rivalry btwn the brushes (one sided on espressos part bc hes stubborn abt stupid things)

Madeleine is a little younger than them (i see essypoo and latte as 16-17 while madeleine is new to turf wars so like. 15) but has Always Dreamed of being a turf war legend. His aunties had him sent him to a sports private school to train him in competitive play (except its a private school so they literally dont teach you shit) so madeleine has all his fundamentals down and has team strategies memorised but no practical experience w actual talented opponents so He is not very good but really really thinks he is

His aunties also helped him form a competitive team by offering top players a fuckload of money if they join. Espresso took it because he was really strapped for cash As it turns out he cant budget his military grade weapon customisation hobby with turf war prize money. He asked latte really nicely to join as well but he DID ask every friend he had before her and they all laughed in his face

Luckily for madeleine espresso is his fcking hero and his celeb crush so this arrangement is great for him. He thinks they make a great team but espresso is very standoffish with him, Presumably because he doesnt know what a Great Player maddie is yet so he commits to spending all his time w espresso to prove himself (espresso does not like this)

Espresso and latte plan to move to splatsville bc the competitive scene is a lot newer there so getting high in the ranks will be easier for the mid team they are. Madeleine thinks this is great because he gets to SHARE an APARTMENT with espresso (and latte😠 but he can pretend she doesnt live there just fine)

Rye is a splatsville born and bred who i see as the oldest between them, like 19? Shes taking less shifts at grizzco bc w the influx of ppl moving into town theyre not so understaffed anymore so she wants to get into turf wars bc she never had the spare time before (nothing to do w her ex gf chili who is big in the comp scene who rye def doesnt want to one-up)

She joins the team cus she saw essypoo and latte asking ppl to join w no prior competitive experience needed (everyone from inkopolis recognised them and didnt want to join) so she thought itd be fun. Shes amazing w the dualies but doesnt have any sense of team coordination (freelance salmon run has that effect) so shes a wip for latte and espresso but they both have hope that she’ll get really good with some guidance

Rye and madeleine get along well :] she thinks hes endearing even if he’s overconfident and in way over his head at the same time. Hes also really funny for these reasons. She teases him a lot which he hatesssss but shes one of the few ppl who can stand him, whether shes taking him seriously or not doesnt really matter cus he has someone to hang out with after battles at least (and they actually bond over this and start to mesh better)

Uh sure! You weren’t ship specific so i’ll try and be a lil broad and touch on a few for all of em! (Theyre all interconnected in a way but often spend much of their time together apart from the others bc thats how dragons be, even if these dragons are much more social than the average dragon)

Demus- Dragon Remus x Prince(ess) Janus

- Janus is ftm trans! His parents were never supportive and actively tried to hide that from that kingdom at every turn, so, he may have secretly gotten a certain mage’s help “cursing” him with snake/dragon scales & additional certain masculine attributes so that he’d be sent away and get time to live his life without royal duties breathing down his neck. Even if he’d have to live the rest of his life as a prince locked away in a tower.

-Remus is a Dragon that’s known to be very curious, driven to hoard things that intruige him. He lives in a castle he and his brother Roman overtook years ago, and they guard it and their hoards within it well. However, one day a nearby kingdom reached out to them with an offer: if they guard and protect Prince Janus while the kingdom scrambles to figure out what to do, the dragons will recieve offerings to add to their hoards along with provided meals and the means to provide for Janus. All the kingdom requests is to keep Janus safe and happy.

-and of course, they agree to. And Remus falls head over tail inlove in a matter of days. Janus follows soon after he finds that Remus is completely unbothered and supportive of Janus’s transition.

-Janus and Roman also get along super well, tho not in a romantic sense, especially after Roman learns of Janus’s love for plays and acting skills. Roman also gifts a few intricate outfits to Janus from his Hoard of beauty and passion bc they fit the short prince quite well, and because Janus wasn’t given anything to wear from his kingdom aside from tailored princess dresses(which he doesn’t usually mind the skirts portions now w/ his new body but somedays the disphoria would spike back out if he looked in the mirror while wearing one). Roman also helped cut Janus’s hair, and both dragons would growl threateningly at any kingdom official who dared look at Janus’s attire change questioningly. If anyone asked, it was because it made Janus happy and feel safe, and that was their job, was it not?

-Janus loves his new Dragon Boyfriend and his new Dragon brother-in-law(technically?) and this result just solidifies his confidence in the decision he made to get here. Roman and Remus know about the secret behind the curse and what Janus did to get here, they think he’s super fcking clever bc of it. And, Ro and Re swear on their hoards that they’ll never spill the secret if Dee doesn’t want them to, one because the Kingdom would then have a lead on trying to Reverse the Curse, and two, because it would put the life of the mage who was asked to do it in danger, and three, because their dragons and dragons are very very good at protecting what they love.

Logince- Dragon Roman x Knight Logan

-Logan is a prince to a neighboring kingdom, and he was betrothed to Janus in an arranged marraige sort of settup. Niether of them loved the other like that, but they were best friends and Logan respected(and defended) Janus being trans. So when he finds out something happened to Janus, he’s alarmed and upset that he wasn’t informed sooner. Then he finds out Janus is being guarded by dragons, of all things! And well, he needs to make sure Janus us safe, and find out whats wrong, what happened? And no one stops him from traveling out to the castle that houses the dragons to find out. The least he can do is make sure Janus is okay and respected by the dragons, but like hell is he going to wait for Janus’s scrabling kingdom to catch up.

The first thing he’s greeted by is a tall red scaled dragon, and he’s immediately on guard. The dragon grins and drops into a defense position. They don’t ask the other questions, which Janus will give both of them shit for later, but both parties are fueled by challenge and protective goals. And they launch into battle without a word.

-Roman is immediately intruiged and excited to find how Logan matches him in a fight, actually standing a pretty solid chance despite his weight and height. Logan is a skilled swords man, the best in his kingdom, its a shame his only downfall is that Roman has twice the height on him and more than twice the muscles, figuratively and literally. But even then Logan isn’t deterred and is capable of flipping the dragon onto his back which is p hot roman cant lie, so its a p even scuffle bc Romans highly entertained w/ this mysterious attacker.

-they kinda get caught up in the scuffle for a good while till Remus comes out to investigate and Logan disengages and dashes into the forest bc he’s smart enough to know he can’t really win the fight w/ one dragon, two is a death sentence.

-roman spends the whole night heated and excited as he rambles about the gorgeous short knight who nearly kicked his ass. Logan spends the whole night rethinking his strategy and trying not to get distracted by the memory of the infuriatingly hot smirk the dragon kept aiming at him.

-they scuffle twice more, filled with witty remarks and snarky quips that progressively get more flirty before they think to speak about /why/ Logan wants into the castle b4 the truth comes out.

-both are a little sheepish when Janus finds out just who Roman’s been waxing poetic about kicking his butt in an even match and spend a good 20 minutes scolding their gay af selves. Then Logan gets updated on the whole situation, including his not so subtle transition and his new dragon bf. Logan gets the dragon’s permission to visit so long as he keeps things a secret, and he scoffs that they’d think he’d even dare to try to ruin his best friends happiness.

-niether of them really knows when their little rivalry picked back up, but Roman and Logan spend their time together bickering and taunting eachother while playing a semi-unbalanced game of cat and mouse. Logan’s not allowed into the castle w/o playing their game first, and he honestly doesn’t mind. Their interactions get way more flirty and theyre just gay disasters that take way to long to admit their developing feelings till it all kinda rushes out the moment Roman pins Logan to a wall and Logan reaponds by locking his legs around the other, daring to keep him there.

-yeah they express their feelings to eachother in many ways that day. And Logan ends up secretly(to his kingdom at least) dating Roman, and Roman gets a prince bf of his own. They still taunt and play their game of cat and mouse tho, now its just accompanied by a ton more kissing.

Moxiety- Dragon Patton x Mage Virgil

-Virgil is the mage that helped Janus transition in secret, they’d been friends for a long while and meeting in secret to plan it. Virgil’s a pretty powerful mage and talented at what he does, and Janus’s trasition was a spell he cast himself, and its irreversable(on purpose, by Janus’s request/demand)

-Virgil travels alot now adays, never staying in one public place too long in fear of Janus’s knights suspecting him and capturing him. He knew the risk and was willing to pay the price to make Janus happy. He knows he must lay low for a while, and hes not very open about being a mage in fear of that being found out.

-well, one day he finds himself in a town not so open to the idea of magic in general. Its one slip up hes not sure he regrets to heal an injured child, but he finds him self tied to a wooden stake that same day, surrounded by a village chanting about how all magic is evil.

-and then a dragon swoops over and snags him from the fire as it ignites, just barely sinking his clothing before hes up in the sky. He promply blacks out from shock.

-and when he wakes up, he finds himself tucked carefully into a hammock with a soft blanket. The room he’s in is filled with an interesting assortment of things, haphazardly placed enough to register as a hoard than any other kind of room in this tower. That and the dragon that rescued him is resting nearby, his blue scaled wing outstretched and draped over Virgil protectively is kind of a dead giveaway too.

-Virgil would learn later that Patton had been following him, lead by how his hoarding instincts weirdly worked. He’d be thankful then, that they saved his life, despite the fact that he now technically counted to Patton’s instincts as part of his hoard. Patton was adamant that he’d been trying to rid himself of the attachment before, but once Virgil was in danger his insticts had been set aside to save the poor human. He couldn’t help that touching Virgil just solidified his instincts’s claim.

-Patton lets Virgil know he’s welcomed to leave any time he wants to, that they were safely away from the dangerous village now. Virgil finds he doesn’t want to leave just yet, and they settle on becoming friends.

-Patton is friends with Roman and Remus, and often visits them when he’s feeling too lonely. He’s plenty friendly with Janus and Logan at this point, being a much softer natured dragon than the twin dragons.

-the group finds it very, very coincidental and very ironic the first time Patton brings Virgil with him to hang out.

-their love story is a bit slower, but lets just say one day months down the line, Virgil pulls Patton into a really shy kiss and Patton all but startles Virgil with the happy purr that bursts from the back of his throat. Its not to much longer after that that theyre relationship is fully established.

i get youuuuuuuuu😭😭😭 jealousy is an ugly emotion but we all feel it at some point(s)!! it’s good and important to recognise that what you’re feeling is jealousy because when people don’t want to admit to themselves that they’re jealous, that’s when things get ugly and they start putting other people down to feel better even though it does nothing to help with their issues. so imo acceptance is the first and maybe even most important step!!! you should let yourself feel jealous because trying to push it away will only make it worse.

i get that jealousy is so shitty and you don’t like feeling it, i’ve been dealing with some jealousy too lately (not bc of tom but something else) and i hate it so so so much like ich könnte Stunden lang darüber reden wie scheisse sich diese Emotion anfühlt omgggg. but yeah i haven’t figured out how to deal with it either ahdkskw not entirely at least idk but trying to push it away is only going to make it worse, i know that for sure.

and also this sounds obvious but maybe just spend less time looking at tom + z content? even if it’s just a bit less, i’m not saying you can’t watch any interviews anymore but yeah distancing yourself and giving yourself a break kann nicht schaden i’d say?

alsooo for me when i’m jealous bc of shit on the internet, i try to really be more present in the real world? like while i’m at uni or out with friends and even after i really try to internalise those moments and try to realise okay this is the real world, this is what matters. celebrities might be real people too okay wkdjsjw but if i’m not on my phone then they’re just strangers to me and they don’t exist. or for me even if i’m just watching a film or something i’m usually on my phone at the same time (well depends on the film) and i’d try to avoid that too to truly distract yourself and get away from the internet, maybe even delete tumblr for a few days but at the same time i think coming back can be even more overwhelming.

Creamsicle Comicon AU

Alrighty so I’ve seen a couple posts flying around about how Larry would encourage and adore Freddy’s fanboy nerdiness, which!  Yes!  Absolutely! and even the idea of them going to a Con together which is equal parts adorable and hysterical (especially if there were cameos by the other Dogs). But my brain’s gone an entirely different direction and it’s been the only thing I’ve been thinking about all damn day.    So what if it wasn’t Creamsicle going to the Con but meeting at the Con. All under the cut bc it got long

Freddy is, of course, himself.  A cop, yeah, but moreso a big fcking geek and so he goes to all 4 days of this con (I’m basing it off of SDCC even tho I’ve never been and my only experiences with cons are those of the sports variety but anyway).  So, he’s not undercover, or anything.  He’s just there, as one would be. As for Larry, even though I’m under the impression that Joe’s jobs involved robbery of objects versus cold hard cash, I could probably spin it either way for this.    There’s a silent auction on the last day of the Con and this’ll be a haul if (when) they pull it off.  Huge.  Or, again, I could go with the idea that they steal the items but I’d have to think about it more. Now, to get into the Con, Joe has Larry and, either Eddie or Brown as his partner.  I’m leaning towards Eddie bc I want Vic to show up in the fic at some point as a cameo, and also Eddie would be more suspicious/heated about Freddy and the eventual revelation that he’s a cop, imo.  Although I don’t believe Joe would put Eddie on a job that would directly put him in danger, Eddie would be at the con to be an extra set of eyes and ears, and because I think he (or Brown) is most believable as knowing a thing or two about comics/sci-fi/the characters. So, that’s important because.  Larry is there basically with the stolen identity of a big name collector/seller of [insert x comic here].  This guy - tentatively I’m naming him Al White, in reference to Larry’s canon aliases (and therefore making Larry “Mr. White” in this, lol) - is from states and states away (maybe Wisconsin, like Larry is?) and has no family, and is a notorious recluse - no one even knows what he looks like, he just mail orders all his collectibles.  The catch with Larry needing to be the one to pose as this dude is because of his age -  someone as young as the other Dogs (well, except Blue but this is a creamsicle fic so naturally I go with Larry) would not be the logical choice as an imposter. So this guy, this Mr. White, this is going to be the first time he shows his face at a public sort of function.  He’s looking to sell a ton of his items and in doing so is going to appear at SDCC (or LACC I guess whatever).   But, you ask, how would Larry and Eddie obtain these items and also do so without alerting him to what they’re doing?  Simple.  Kill him (or maybe Joe hires someone else to kill him so Larry’s not there when it happens, than have the stuff shipped to the LACC directly, which would make sense if this guy was a recluse, for him to have as little interaction as possible).  Ditch the body.  Make up fake IDs/steal his identity. No one will be any the wiser. As for Larry and Freddy meeting, it’d be the Preview Night, when those who attend all 4 days get the opportunity to check out the exhibit hall to see what would be available.  Larry is still setting up and intends to lay low for most of it anyway, so as not to draw attention or raise suspicion due to the fact he doesn’t know jack shit about this kinda stuff.  Eddie’s given him a crash course on what he should definitely know but he’s just like praying for this thing to end so he can get the loot and be done with this job. Freddy would obviously be drawn to this stand, with tons of other people.  He’d be, not star struck, but just like, in awe and in his element and would strike up conversation with other people there about the items.  Larry is there and since no one knows what Mr. White looks like (and maybe his ID lanyard is hidden or turned around that anyone can’t see it), none of the other con-goers realize that this is The Guy - they just think he’s there helping set up or whatever.  But he listens closely to Freddy and tries to pick up some of this info of the comic shit that he should file away if he wants to keep the front up, and of course  he thinks this kid is a trip and a half, but in a good way.  Maybe for all his enthusiasm, gives him a little freebie from the collection and Freddy is like hell yeah, whoa... wait a minute, you can’t do that, what will Mr. White think if you give away this shit for free?    And Larry would introduce himself as this Mr. White.  Freddy would just be like wow whoa the man the myth the legend... didn’t think he’d look like you /smirk/ Larry like, in good humor, what in the fuck is that supposed to mean? Freddy tries to play it off like, haha nothin just ah ya know you’re not how I pictured him - look pretty good for a shut-in hermit, I guess. ANYWAYYYYY that’s most of what I got except for over the next few days leading up to the heist they get to know each other lol except for Larry finding out Freddy is a cop. That doesn’t happen bc Freddy is not gonna just like, divulge that kind of info, so he just says he “works for the city” (Larry surprised he even has a job at all, lol). Also them going out to a bar the night before the heist is to go down (so they meet on a Wednesday, this night out is a Saturday, and they’ve hung out several times already).  And finally shit goes down and they make out like teenagers in the men’s room or something equally unsavory - but then it’s interrupted by something going on in the bar.  A fight, altercation of some sort (I could probably put Mr. Pink in here as a cameo, getting his ass beat for running his mouth - maybe by a waitress LOL nah jk) and it turns really loud and violent.  Both Larry and Freddy would try to break it up?  Larry gets hurt and Freddy announces himself as an officer and is able to descalate the situation and call for backup to have the guy arrested but ofc Larry’s hurt and he’s like oh shit dude you’re hurt we gotta get you some medical attention (another movie ~homage~) but all Larry can say in response is, “You’re a cop?” And Freddy, like, “Yeah... I’m a cop...”

I have no idea what I want to do after this.  I want a happy ending for the boys and the best thing I can think of is if Vic does show up later as a replacement to Larry (because Eddie’s aware of Larry hanging out with Freddy and if he finds out he’s a cop, well... Larry would be in deep shit and Joe would absolutely take him off the job, but then I think Larry would feel he needs to hurt/kill Freddy so like...idk).  And if Vic actually does attempt the heist but also threatens  civilians in the process, then (almost) like the movie, White would take him out? (lol but I want vic and eddie to be “happy” in this too in the background so idfk i’m just literally rambling into the void). BUT YEAH THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT ALL DAY.  suggestions welcome!
