The Next Gen! Kids

Okay so I just learned how to use Krita so I could make this (I am still learning how to use Krita) but I hope it is enjoyed. These kiddos are from the Next Gen!AU that @leviathanswingman and I made together (or concepts for them), they mean a lot to us <3 .

okok so like, there’s gonna be quite a bit of lore for this, and it does include a lot of talk of religion, specifically Christianity, and demons n angels n stuffs sooo uh yeah.

WARNING ITS LONG AS HELL

So basically, I had a dream where God and Lucifer and the 7 deadly sins came down/up to earth and were like, ‘hey we’re gonna make you kiddos pick if you wanna be a demon or an angel, although there will be consequences for your choice if you choose wrong, p.s. parents get a heavy say in the matter’ so everyone formed a huge line and infront of it were two buttons, a red one and a blue one (insert that one meme here) blue representing becoming an angel, red representing becoming a demon. So I’m like 15th in line and everyone’s parents are around them influencing their decisions however, I really said fuck that and slammed the red button, I got screamed at and thrown out to where the other demons, Lucifer, and the Deadly Sins were. Btw this all kinda takes place in an area that’s like a school but also with a weird mix of Alterna, specifically the sky, they put a dome that pretends to be a sky. So after me was my Bf, and he got a very, very strict talking to on to not follow my footsteps (his parents aren’t really that fond of me irl sooo whoopsies) and he ends up having to be an angel along with quite a few of my friends. So here’s what I have down so far for when you become an angel, first off, your are blindfolded and put into a deep slumber, in said slumber you grow your wings, this is to make it so the angels have to deal with the least amount of pain possible when undergoing the changes. They wake up and get their Holy Robes n such, and get their halos bestowed upon them by God himself. However for the demons, they each line up at one of the Sins, as each would grant a different type of wish, some for nothing, some for a small favor, etc. For which Deadly Sin would grant what kinda of wishes (only one wish per person, no Sinhopping lol). Asmodeus (Lust) : boosting or lowering uhhhhh adult fun time drive, changing your body to fit how you want it to be, love/lust spells (you have to bribe him and really, really good.) or become a demon of the Lust ring. ORRR BONUS OFFER: be a succubus or incubus

Mammon (Greed) : Precious stones, jewels, money, gold, any form of accessories, Gucci, you name it, or make you into a demon from the greed ring

Belphegor (Sloth) : Pillows, blankets, loungewear, a whole ass bed, comfy things, or make you into a demon from the Sloth ring

Beelzebub (Gluttony) : literally food. Idrk, you could get any amount of food or food related item, kitchenwear n shit, or food from anywhere in the world in the blink of an eye, or become a demon of the Gluttony ring

Amon (Wrath) : weapons, you could wish misfortune upon someone, get an assassin, become skilled at combat, karate, etc, or become a demon of the Wrath ring

Envy : kind of the same as greed, you can get all sorts of riches and etc, or curse someone to be insanely envious of everyone around them, or become a demon of the Envy ring

Pride : boost your self esteem, re-wire some thoughts to block out the bad and negative ones so you only have good thoughts of yourself, become a demon of the Pride ring

Lucifer : change your physical form to anything you want, make you more happy, if you just want to talk he’ll listen ig, basically just any request if one of the Deadly Sins can’t fulfill it. Or ig just become a regular demon. I ended up choosing Pride, just to be a demon of the Pride ring and look hella cool (btw refs of demons from different rings soon ig) then I realized that I kinda wasted it bc literally my main goal was to transition but I forgor 💀 anywho so turns out a few months later everyone gets a second wish!! Yippeeeeeeeee!!! No one has ever ran to Asmodeus faster in their mortal lives, so I got to transition and I was sooooooo happy. But anywho the angels start to get really stuck up and are like literally committing hate crimes towards the demons but we aren’t allowed to reciprocate it or we would be punished. so y’know those blindfolds I mentioned earlier? Yeah so, it kinda brainwashes a lot of the angels, and the more halos they have, the more under control/ surveillanced they need to be, my bf ended up getting two bc we met up a twice and uhh yeah God was not happy at all. But at some point he decided to take off his blindfold and see the world again. Here’s the thing ab the blindfolds, they’re the only way God could get in your head and communicate with you telepathically, if you don’t have it on, no communication. So my bf took it off and crossed over to where the demons were chillin and was like uh…. Hi..? And I can’t keep writing it’s almost 3 am, update soon hhhhh

How would you rank the OM cast from most to least likely to give IK a lil goodnight kiss on the head? Maybe including (your) Mephisto, I can really imagine him doing it...

(For context: my dad used to do this every single night up until I had to move away for uni and he still does it whenever I'm staying over at my parents' house these days... makes me feel better just thinking about it whenever I get down on myself, and I think IK deserves it too)

i saw this ask and dropped everything to answer it bc SO CUTE AHHHH

short version, most to least likely: simeon, asmo, mammon, solomon, mephisto, beel & lucifer (tied), luke, satan, barbatos, belphie, diavolo, levi

long version with explanations under the cut!

1. simeon - probably self-explanatory! already has the whole nurturing personality going for him, and he isn't the sort of person who'd get embarrassed about it. he just gets so full of Fondness(TM) sometimes, it'd honestly be weird if he wasn't high up on this list

2. asmo - the most naturally physically affectionate out of everyone here - he's only ranked below simeon because i imagine he kind of forgets that platonic affection exists sometimes, given that he usually uses physical affection to flirt with people, plus he's constantly being flirted with himself

3. mammon - he moved up a few places after i thought a bit harder about it and decided that, even if he does the whole tsundere thing in canon, that's in relation to romantic love. he does it very casually, it just kind of comes naturally with the whole 'man i sure do love my kiddo' territory

4. solomon - probably would've been ranked lower if it was based on personality alone, but there's also the whole 'only two humans in the devildom' connection. he's very distant from the humanity that ik knows, but either way there's still an instinctive sort of bond there that kind of automatically places him higher

5. mephisto - (assuming he even gets the opportunity to do so) very unembarrassed about it, and does it more jokingly compared to anyone else on the list, but places high by sheer virtue of how much he does it once he gets started, and also because sometimes he does do it seriously

6. beel & lucifer - beel would generally do it as a sort of spur-of-the-moment thing, where he's like 'hey i like this kid' and thinks it's the best way to express it. lucifer likely wouldn't do it deliberately, he'd probably just kind of fall into a routine of doing it without really realising it. out of, like, a sample pool of a hundred occasions where they could or could not have given ik a little goodnight kiss on the head, they'd do it about the same frequency, so they're tied

7. luke - he only places this high after he's witnessed simeon and/or solomon do it, at which point he'd probably copy them - he's fairly unlikely to do it on his own without any prompting, mostly because his first instinct when it comes to affection is hugs over anything else. he gets very embarrassed about it afterwards, but he'll still do it

8. satan - likely wouldn't do it unconsciously - he'd do it very deliberately as a sort of 'this child missed out on her dad's love growing up, therefore i should try to make up for it somehow' move. (though, if he does it enough, it might become a routine after that.) places a little lower than luke just because he's kind of awkward with this stuff

9. barbatos - very matter-of-fact about it, treats it like it's just a thing that's supposed to happen?? he's got the nurturing personality thing going for him too, but as a butler his protocol is to take care of people from a distance (both physically and emotionally), so that would stop him a significant amount of the time

10. belphie - technically he places a lot higher (like 5) whenever he's in an especially sleepy state, but the times when he's properly awake kind of cancel that out, so he places relatively low overall. he's more likely when sleep-addled because he's more absent-minded then, but when he's fully conscious he's hesitant - because of the Stuff That Happens Post-Attic, he usually feels too uneasy about being near ik when she's asleep and therefore vulnerable to do it

11. diavolo - don't get me wrong, diavolo's personality definitely would have placed him way higher, but he's so TALL that he's kind of scared of doing it in case he accidentally hurts her somehow. there's also the whole royal etiquette thing... tbh i don't really have a great explanation for him, i just kind of felt in my bones that he'd go quite low down. basically he's been so touch-starved his entire life that he doesn't even think of giving physical affection as an option most of the time

12. levi - way too awkward and pretty touch-averse (despite simultaneously being touch-starved). far more likely to just, like, tuck ik in or fluff up her pillow. in some specific situations, though - like, ik's upset and he's comforting her in his levi way (i.e. games and anime), and then he puts her to bed - he might do it then

So I’m your my demon family bc when mc has to go to school do they go to human school or demon school and if they go to demon school how do the class mates feel abt the human being their princess amd effectively a higher up

They would go to demon school. I mean it would be strange for them to go to human school. Diavolo is worried about them being too much like a demon. So they get to be an exchange student in the human realm and the angel realm when they are a bit older.

Despite how hard that is on their dads. They both cried. 

Turns out there was no need to worry at all, their little one is perfectly human.

So how do they get along with the other demons. 

Since the little one has powerful dads and uncles. Everyone is a bit afraid at first but their sunny personality can win people over and they make some great friends. 

It's not like they are the most popular one but they have people they can trust and have fun with. 

The dads spoil the little one way too much but they learned early on to say no. So they are very modest.

  Here some little extra. 

First they had to let go of the little one when sending them to demon kindergarten.

Diavolo: Today is the first day for you to go to kindergarten. Are you really ready to go?

You know that you don't have to force yourself.

Lo*: Dad, I told you that I wanna go. I know you will be lonely without me but I leave Tom here. 

Lucifer: That is very kind of you. 

Diavolo: I will probably be fine. 

Lucifer: Anyway there is something else that we need to talk to you about. It's about who you are. 

Lo: You mean because I'm the future overlord? 

Lucifer: Overlord? Levi shouldn't saying things like that… No it's not about that. 

Lo: Then it's because I'm human? Satan told me all about that already. I can defend myself with some magic. I'm super cool. 

Lucifer: *angry* That little… 

Diavolo: Not in front of the child. 

Lucifer: Sorry about that. Well anyway you will be fine even when you are human nobody will hurt you. 

Lo: Is that because you two are bigwigs or because you are so awesome? 

Lucifer: That sounds like something Mammon would say… 

Diavolo: Definitely because we are awesome. 

Lo: Cool. So when do we go? 

Lucifer: Soon but first you should know that you can call us at anytime when you want to come home. Even if you feel lonely or anxious you can always call us, alright? 

Lo: You are the best papa and if you want to go home or feel lonely you both can call me too. 

Diavolo: Such a sweet child! 

Lucifer: *whispering* You know we can't call them just because we are lonely don't forget that. 

Diavolo: *Sighing* I know. 

Lucifer: So we got everything you need. 

Lo: I'm completely ready! 

Diavolo: I'm not ready at all… 

*Lucifer pats him on his shoulder.*

Lucifer: I'm sure everything is going to be well. You are a strong little one and you will make many friends I'm sure of it. 

Lo: You really think that? 

Diavolo: Of course. You are the best child ever. 

Lo: I think you are biased. 

Lucifer: *mumbleing* I will punish every last one of them.

  The kindergarten teacher is Simeon btw. I dunno why him but it made sense to me.
