I feel like Allison wouldn't tiptoe around the things Neil's been through or done. She's been straight up with him before about all of his lies and how she doesn't/didn't trust him, so I think if there's something on people's minds, she's not going to step around it or avoid the elephant in the room. If she's pissed, she'll tell him. If she doesn't understand something, she'll say it. But I think Neil would appreciate that more than knowing people are talking about him but won't just come up and ask him something themselves. It'd feel more normal if she addressed it, rather than just leaving a tension in the air/nobody feeling like they can joke about it or anything with him.

God, grief works weird. I think she cried. A lot. I think she spoke to Bee about him a lot, and I think every time she heard his name or saw his picture it was like she was finding out he was dead all over again. Follow up of the Marco And Shanks Feuding Over Buggy -

Once things resolve, the captains are somehow the WORST instigators. Roger, once he realized Marco was flirting with his Baby Bug, is caught between "well, kid has good taste" and "Oh I Gotta Kill A Child".

Whitebeard makes frequent comments about daughter in laws and it sends EVERYONE reeling, especially Buggy. He thinks it's hilarious, and it mostly joking ((but a little serious)).

Maybe it's the multishipper in me, maybe it's the polyamory projection, but eventually Shanks and Buggy have The Conversation about being captains of the own crews, of being each other's most definitely, of being married ((they are 13-15 when The End Is Nigh for Roger, and I can see Buggy having a sudden realization that Captain that Dad is dying. She and Shanks speedrun being married so he can do it. They're minors so it isn't official, but they get/make rings, set it up and have Captain officiate it so they're "married". It's the closest they'll get to the real deal and both need their dad there for this.)).

Shanks and Buggy establish an open relationship. They can be with and pursue others, but communication is key and they need to just keep each other relatively in the loop.

She only loves Shanks and is fond of Crocodile and Mihawk (ends up falling for them eventually, y'know) and the people she has been with have always been just kind of there? She doesn't forget them but she doesn't really care about them either. IT girl, girlboss behavior for once even if she's still a failgirl. But they always remember her. She's not easy to forget. Everybody that loves her is so protective of her too and she wonders why she never gets bothered by anybody?? She believes it's because she's now important and scary and yadda yadda but it's just because people have to go through Rayleigh, the strawhats, Shanks, and Cross Guild to get to her. but watching it back it really just highlights how alone they both are? that, realistically, it was never more than a friendship / tiny crush, that just... ended up going to more places than it should've because they were just so, so isolated from normal life?

allison says it herself - "maybe you're the only person who really knows who I am and still likes me anyway". they never had any real human connection other than the rest of the Umbrellas - they were child celebrities, superheroes, even!

and Allison may have left, may have had a life outside of the academy, but when you think about it she went from being a famous child superhero to a famous actor - nobody ever knew her. it's even implied that she rumoured patrick to love her ('i heard a rumour that you love me'), so it's likely that even her husband didn't really know who she was. and also, let's face it, who in the 'real world' is really going to understand what it's like to be part of a family of superheros and raised by a robot mother and... Reginald? (im not even gonna begin to unpack what he did to those kids, jfc) other than someone else that was there, who experienced all of it, right along side you

(shared trauma, and all that)

"You're the sweetest, kindest man I've ever known" - yeah, probably because every other man she's ever met has wanted to use her for something, most likely her fame. to be able to say that they dated ~Allison Hargreeves~, one of the amazing Umbrella Academy kids, or that famous actress, and not because they actually liked her or had any interest in her as a person. or, she rumoured them to be interested in her, so the entire 'connection' she had with them was fake from the outset - entirely built on lies and superficial bullshit

(coming back to this at the start of s1e8, the way she visibly deflates and looks kind of uncomfortable/resigned when the policeman recognises her and starts acting differently. but then she takes advantage of it. admittedly, in this case, she’s trying to hunt down her sibling, but... you know?)

in fact, it's likely that none of her connections outside of the academy were ever real, so it's not surprising that Luther is the only one she felt that kind of connected to. they all talk about how Five thought he was superior to them all, even before he jumped; Viktor was left out of everything;, none of them took Klaus seriously, and i'm p sure i remember it showing him rolling a joint at a breakfast; it sounded like Diego and Luther were always at odds with each other (and if she was closest with Luther anyway, she'd take his side in any arguments); and Ben looked pretty shy, and then he was gone too.

and Luther... Luther lived to be Spaceboy, the academy's Number One. he says it, too: "I sacrificed everything for him, my entire life. I never left this house, I never had friends, and for what?". maybe Allison had these fake connections, but Luther didn't even have that

so it's not surprising that they were - or thought they were - in love with each other. they literally have no idea what real human connection looks or feels like

i don't think their relationship was ever meant to be anything other than a way to highlight that, personally

neither of them would rlly bend on their morals and way of life. they are still themselves and their relationship is messy keep them messy. they can sympathize with each other but accept they are on different sides and that won't change. they both wish the other would quit so they can live normally but neither can abandon where they are and they both know that.

if together pre war neither of them sell out the other side or anything bc they don't want to run the risk of doing anything that could get the other hurt.

all the league knows abt it w varying levels of acceptance/support. they're used to disagreeing on a lot of things so it's not a huge deal, and it's fairly clear ochako isn't willing to risk himiko's safety by blabbing to the heroes abt anything with the league. besides, they all know ochako means everything to himiko and they are asking for war by making it a problem. still ochako avoids seeing/talking to them and vise-versa for the sake of keeping the peace + deniability + ochako just seriously does not like them. himiko still wants her to like them but it is not happening. she will listen to himiko's stories and she's glad she has people that care abt her and have her back but she still doesn't like them or accept their ways the way she can for himiko. she hates twice the most, ochako doesn't like how he is with himiko but he's himiko's closest friend so she tries to let it go. even though she knew it made himiko so sad personally she was not upset to see him die LMAO. sad for himiko but good riddance to her fkjdkdhdj.

this could get ochako in lots of trouble, so no one on the hero side knows at all.

post incarceration someone from the hero side *does* find out abt it. todoroki. they were talking and ochako thinking of himiko was like "...how do u handle the dilemma of caring so much for a criminal? someone who has done so much bad?" and him being blunt as ever is like "i know my brother has done unforgivable things, and i'd never ask any one of the people wronged by him to forgive him, but if i had any reason to think it could work i'd break him out of prison myself". she rlly needs to talk abt her feelings (she's just a girl!) so she spills. he doesn't get it entirely bc where touya's family and the connection was already there, ochako met her as a villain. still, he can sympathize and he keeps it to himself and lets ochako talk abt it w him.

others know that ochako visits her frequently but only todoroki is aware of the true nature of their relationship.

i'm gonna make up that there's a law that anyone working for the state is legally forbidden to share personal information on heroes so togachako can be lovey w each other when ochako visits but it doesn't get out. the prison guards do their job and take it to their graves bc i say so.

it can be sad to not get to share your love but it also makes it all their own, not something others get to touch. their love is beautiful, even if no one gets to see it.

So first let me say I don't care for how a majority of cl.aida is portrayed because they water both of these women down to where theyre all soft and sweet with each other and it ends up being fanon a.eon but with 2 women and i HATE that.

i see claire as a very kind, and caring woman, and this is something canon stresses constantly, HOWEVER i also see claire as a woman with quite a bit of grit to her. this is a woman who was orphaned and only had her brother to take care of her, a woman who survived the horrors of raccoon city and also managed to save a young girl in the process. she may be kind, but she won't take anyone's shit, and she can be very blunt and isn't afraid to call someone out.

so my ideal version of cl.aida, or at least the version i see that could happen between my (correct) interpretations of the characters, is one where theyre working together or at least in the same vicinity lol and it's not hard to get ada and claire working on the same mission, as ada is a spy and might spy on claire for information on terrasave, her brother chris, or the tphobos virus which claire carries. ...or claire and ada could cross paths during an outbreak lol. either way, these 2 interacting with one another isn't so far out of left field.

regardless of what brings them together, ada would latch herself to claire (under a moniker other than Ada WongTM because EYE want to see that) in hopes of finding some kind of Infortmation, and claire would notice that ada is waaaaay more capable than any normal civilian should be and claire would corner her and demand she tell her who she is, and ada wouldn't of course, but that's okay because claire has connections too, and adas face is known in the bsaa and from there she'd put 2 and 2 together.

after finding out ada is a spy, claire would be less inclined to fall for any persona ada puts up, whether it be flirtatious or intimidating, or anything else, instead ignoring adas performance and paying focusing only on things ada says pertaining the mission at hand. ada is naturally very charming and i think claire can see herself getting along with ada, but she's not going to let herself get caught up in adas web. they do the job or survive the outbreak or whatever and well... they've both got quite a bit of pent up energy and a lot of tension that needs to be released. and frankly? the way their relationship deepens starts with a mutually agreed upon one night stand, both trying to release some energy without any risk of the other person catching feelings. after a while they decide to do it again, and this becomes a constant thing, and still neither one has feelings but they get closer slowly. at glacial speeds. (here is where im skipping a lot of specifics because even though i wrote this huge blurb i havent really thought about how theyd work together, so maturally there are character specific moments im missing from both of them) i see them building a pretty rock solid trust in each other (at least as rock solid as you could get with ada lol) and from there ada would feel more comfortable showing claire her true self but only for short periods of time, I'm talking an hour at most.

now i need to be clear, i think there are times when adas job bumps up against claires morals, and that's when claire just can't stand ada, but i think claire grits her teeth and tells herself it's okay as long as whatever ada does helps the greater good. i do think this is something that causes friction between them and leads to arguments.

from here i see their relationship breaking the mold of what is "supposed" to be a normal monogamous couple. ada would come around in between jobs and they'd be together enjoying each other's company for as long as possible until ada leaves for her next job, and I believe ada is the one to leave first as there is nothing she does normal, especially not relationships. and believe it or not, i think claire is aware of this, and she accepts it... for a time. i think the older she gets the more she wants a more stable partner, and i think eventually she'd call it off with no hard feelings and ada would be sad for a time, but ultimately happy she wasn't forced into a box she wouldn't fit in.

and thats all if they have a relationship when theyre both 30 or older. now if they were to get together in their younger years then everything would be the same except instead of a one night stand they have a 2 month long crazy lesbian situationship and then claire has a moment of clarity and is like, "if we keep going like this we're gonna hate each other forever, so maybe we just stop now" and ada thinks about it for a second and then is like you know what. You're right. And then they cut the relationship off but they're still cool and they trade information with each other and yes. They do still fuck sometimes. :)

ultimately I think claire would want more stability than ada would be willing to give, so no matter what their relationship wouldn't last forever.

1) What made you ship it?

I love the idea of Max being one of the first people to expand Eleven's horizons and treat her normally/see beyond the fact that she has superpowers. The Material Girl Mall Scene is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show since it's just a good, fun time. Eleven's first taste of real freedom and fun. They also just compliment each other well since El's more softspoken whereas Max is more boistrous.

To be clear, I also hardcore ship Lumax, but Elmax just has something about it that makes me very happy.

2) What are your favorite things about the ship?

Again, the complimentary personalities and girls backing up girls. Also just... this. I don't know if this is just a normal thing, but I wouldn't get this cozy with my closest friends that I've known for fifteen plus years, let alone a few days.

3) What's an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Honestly I try to stay clear of ST shipping discussions so I don't know what's really a "popular" vs an "unpopular" opinion. Idk I'll just say that I think it's really close to or on the same level as Lumax (but again I loooove Lumax)

1) What made you ship it?

I mean, in my opinion it's very obvious that there's tension there. Will absolutely has a crush on Mike but can't say it, and Mike, bless his heart, is too fucking oblivious to realize that or that his own feelings for Will seem to go far beyond that of his other friends. Also just like... I love Will and the poor kid deserves to have something he really wants, even if he's not really sure how to cope with it.

2) What are your favorite things about the ship?

The best friends dynamic is cute, it's an idea that makes Will happy, and I love how every time, without fail, my roommate and I see any blue-and-yellow object(s), we call it "The Byler [Object(s)]. So my bike is the Byler Bike since it's blue and yellow and we always tried to get a blue bowl and a yellow bowl at the dining hall (one had the blue, one had the yellow) so we could have Byler Bowls. Byler brings people together.

3) Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I think I'll get sniped for like... any semi critical Byler opinion bc half-offense (as opposed to full or no offense) some of y'all are fucking crazy, so I'll just say one since I probably have a couple. Mike Wheeler doesn't deserve Will Byers because he gets too swept up in Eleven to understand that his friend is going through shit, which isn't condusive for a healthy relationship.

I have a lot of opinions on Mike and his relationships with Will and Eleven in general and I want to make it clear that I don't hate Mike, or anything close. I think Mike's just not quite emotionally mature enough to handle relationships yet, especially ones with so many complexities as Will and Eleven. I have/had the same problem, so I'm not chastizing him, I'm saying I'm the same way and I see the signs.

Mike's too tunnel-visioned on Eleven to give proper attention to Will, and this can coexist with the fact that Mike's just not the right one for El since I think he's tunnel-visioned on her abnormalities of her rather than the normalcies that should be celebrated, which is where Mileven and Elmax differ for me. In my opinion, Eleven wants as close to a normal life as she can get after all the shit she's gone through, and I don't think Mike really seems to understand that.

I don't wanna do a whole analysis post because one, this is just an ask game; two, many people with more knowledge on the subject have done this before me; and three, this is not my circus, not my monkeys, Stranger Things ships aren't my expertise, the Creels and HNL are.

But tl;dr, neither Byler nor Mileven are currently viable because Mike needs more time to mature and develop before he himself can understand what he wants. The kid's a freshman in high school dealing with supernatural world ending threats every few months, I wouldn't be able to function normally either.

honestly I don’t particularly mind any shipping with jinx, like I have my vision that I think is the closest to canon in my heart and then I allow myself fandom leniency because I'm horny and a lesbian and I think jinx should hate fuck girls. jinx/eve is like jinxs own evil hatred obsession version of caitlyn/brothel girl, you can make eve a vessel for any characterisation you want and jinx shipping landscape is so tiny we need more rarepairs and crackships

like character-wise I think jinx is just not interested, the way she is now, in pursuing relationships like that, whether it's romantic or sexual, like she doesn't want a partner, she wants a caretaker and the way she attaches to people she becomes dependent on is based on them having this familial, somewhat parental connection to her

BUT that's why I usually pair her with caitlyn, because they already have that crazy connection through vi and also lil bit of kidnapping and murder. I think if jinx were to be interested in eve it would be because she looks like vi of course hdhshdj and don't come for.me saying that's weird, I never said i expect jinx to do normal things. but I think she would pour her grief and obsession with vi into her fascination and the more she would realise this girl ISN'T vi, the more dangerous this situation would become for eve because if jinx detaches or finds that a trigger then bye bye being alive. so like, she falls in with jinx because jinx is this sort of zaunite cryptid jdhsjsk like she's a dangerous but not really known figure and that has appeal if you like thrill of danger and also because people are just attracted to mentally unstable hot girls. but then with getting to know all the parts of jinx that are softer and more vulnerable comes knowing that she really is also violent and dangerous but by the time you do it's too late to detach and there's no way being involved with jinx ends well for her which is inherently very sexy of jinx

I'm so sick of her. She's making me hate you. All you do is complain about her and I genuinely don't think you realise it.

Do you know how miserable you've become since you moved in with her? Everything's about her. It's never about you. You won't let yourself be upset because "she has it worse". You're literally pitying her, that's all it is.

She gets upset at the smallest things and you beat yourself up over it like it's your fucking job to make sure she's happy.

I know I got extremely lucky still being with my teen sweetheart. We grew into full functioning adults together after going through a ridiculous amount of shite together thanks to my family. Never once have I ever felt pitied by her but I know for a fact she feels pitied by you. You said it yourself, she got mad at you for being concerned for her wellbeing, because she thinks that you don't trust her judgement. Even though you have every reason not to since she's the way she is.

I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she's not being malicious purposefully but that doesn't excuse the fact that she is manipulative often.

The fact that you feel guilty about having your own interests and hobbies is such a huge issue I don't understand how you can't see it. It's another reason for the pile of why I think you shouldn't be dating.

You shouldn't have to force her into spaces and activities that are yours alone to enjoy, shes literally going to ruin cons for you for the rest of the time you go, which I feel like will stop eventually when you realise you can't be around your friends since she'll cry if we start talking about cock and balls.

You love talking shite and she turns you mute. It sounds like the most dull, mind numbing conversations to have with anyone ever. Like what is there to even talk about that doesn't involve her, that's solely yours? God forbid you have interests she isn't a part of because that'll upset her 🥺

Its ridiculous. You're such a warm bright colourful person with so much personality and humor and you're just grey with her.

I can never say any of this to you directly because I think it'd finally be the end of our friendship but honestly I don't know how much longer I can see you like this, it's genuinely hurting me.

She didn't know you were suicidal and you've been together over 2 years. Is that not alarming? The lack of knowledge of your mental state bc she never looks outside herself. I know you deny how unwell you are because you never let yourself be the one with issues but if she really knew you she'd know that without being told.

I think you should break up.

I know you're lonely, and I know you want a relationship, but God, you're not meant to be on eggshells at every turn, wondering if you've something wrong or done something wrong to upset her. You're not supposed only care about her feelings and never check on your own.

I really think you should end it.

Obviously you live with her so that's a complication but you know your mam would take you back in a heart beat.

I think you should go. I'm saying this with the most sincerity I can. I am saying this as your oldest and closest friend. Please leave her to better yourself. It'll hurt, obviously. But in the long run you deserve to really be happy. Happiness is not what you have. You wouldn't be this way if it was.

These feelings aren't new or sudden. I've felt this way for well over a year. She made you a completely different person while you're with her, then when you finally get time to see us you complain about her in some sort of way

Of course no relationship is perfect, I've gotten annoyed at 🐰 before, most were due to outside forces (primarily my family) but we've always talked it out. You keep stuff from her, you feel like you can't be honest with her out of fear. None of that is normal or healthy.

You really really should consider breaking up.

I just want you to be happy again.

All Who Remain (Beware of Darkness) [Her brother's death.] You never know the last time you’ll see someone/So give them all of your love/'Cause they’ll disappear Odessa and her brother were close growing up, and his death galvanized her into really throwing herself into her work, entrenched her loyalty to the Empire. Which in turn made the events of the class story even more painful; being betrayed by the cause her brother had supported, she has supported so ardently stung.

Wander (Home & Harbor) // I Am Not Okay (Jelly Roll) I don't know if I can see the stars anymore/I know they're shining somewhere out there/And I can't tell you what the sun feels like /And I don't know if I even care This one's a little bit about her after losing Chance in the later verses, a little bit about her general state of mind after mid-Act 2. There's this growing sense of... directionlessness as she's confronted with more and more evidence that shakes her faith in the Empire. She always wanted to serve, but that dream is souring and she doesn't know what to do or where to go with it cracking like this. So she turns double agent for Kothe, but his instructions are largely "wait for orders and shore up your cover" so she feels like she's treading water or wandering an endless desert with no hope of progress. After long enough in that state she wonders if she should just... accept it will always be like that. But there's this infinitesimally thin thread of hope that it can and will get better. She just has to care long enough to find it. When it's all said and done/ I'm not okay/ But it's all gonna be alright/ It's not okay/But we're all gonna be alright The overall tone of this song is someone struggling but determined to hold on to the hope that things get better and that's so very, very much Ody's mindset from about... EoO onwards(she was getting better, then Shara being in NC sent her spiraling again). She knows it can get better, be better, life is not all loss and pain, but she has been through the wringer and it's really hard to remember sometimes. (There's a line in the first verse about "If I say I'm fine just know I've learned to hide it well" that's so very her. Bury it and press on.)

Superman (Rachel Platten) So put your armor on the ground tonight/ 'Cause everyone's got to come down sometimes [The Alliance] I was extremely tempted to do I'm Not Calling You a Liar as how Intelligence views her, but let's go with something more positive. :D There are many people in the Alliance who care about her and wish she didn't have to do so much(even if Rass is the first person in ages to straight up say "Take time for yourself"). Lana and Theron are both subtly keeping an eye on her, and there's a half dozen people more than ready to be a listening ear if she ever asks for one.

Dancing with You Ghost (Sasha Alex Sloan) // Time (2CELLOS) Never got the chance/To say your last goodbye/I gotta move on/But it hurts to try/How do I love, how do I love again? [It's Chance. It's all Chance.] I've mentioned how much Chance's death wrecked her, right? :) She did not deal with that well at all; maybe not actively suicidal, but not particularly invested in staying alive for a while there. She's getting better. Slowly. But it's still hard. He was... something good, something steady, something normal at a point where not much else about her life could be characterized by any of those words. She loved him, and he loved her, and she truly hoped at some point they could be together, not stealing visits whenever it felt safe. And then he (seemingly)lost her. And then she (really)lost him. With their last goodbye being her slipping out with a whisper and a kiss, fully expecting to see each other in a months. And she didn't even really get to fully grieve, bc she had to hit the ground running with dismantling the Eternal Empire, so there are moments for a long while where it still doesn't seem real, until she remembers. She's finally starting to open up to the idea of moving on, but it's so terrifying and it hurts so much let him go and try again. Time is instrumental, but it fits so perfectly the vibes for the wordless cinematic sequence in my head that rolls from when Ody leaves Chance's place for the (unbeknownst to them) last time, through the scenes of Wild Space expedition, Chance dealing with her "death", her being in carbonite, his actual death, Lana busting her out, up to the conversation with Theron that confirms her suspicions Chance was KIA.

State of Me (Lacey Sturm) Look at the state of me/ You can't deny it/I'm gonna walk out/So follow me now/Just get behind me This is what plays during her fight with Hunter at the end of the class story and you cannot change my mind. It has such good Climatic Fight Song energy.

Inner Gold (Lindsey Stirling ft Royal) It comes back to me sounding like a song/ I knew once/ Singing louder than the tales I've been told/ Each note is a song of my inner gold The vibes for this really fit her outlook upon switching her loyalty to the Republic. Even if there is that later... treading water feel that sinks in(no pun intended), she is confident in and happy with her decision to switch sides. (I need to write her talking to Elara, they would have FASCINATING conversations >.>). It's also where she's eventually going to end up, as sort of her healing process mood. She might have to claw her way to a better place but she is Going To Get There. Feels very end-credits-y for her.
