3. What is your writing ritual and why is it cursed?

I write almost exclusively during class. I get away with this by pretending I am writing notes. then after class i'm so into what i'm writing that i go back to my dorm and write more even though i desperately have hw to do. i write an average of 2k words a day and my academic self cries

eh if a ghost turned up i wouldn't not believe in it. but i have never seen a ghost before so. i'm agnostic about ghosts ig

i hate doing this :(( i very rarely get rid of stuff that's extraneous to the plot just bc i love it so much, but when i do i guess i do have a graveyard? i had a prof this semester who is a writer, and he recommended having an overflow document, so if you're scared of cutting something that you might need in the future, you copy and paste it there just in case. you almost never need it but now you can feel secure getting rid of a random character.

17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.

i have several fic wips so i will go with superpowers au!! some of this stuff will turn up! there are several religious sects across the country that believe powered individuals to be satanic. scott studied architecture in college. scott almost became a villain in college just for funsies. jimmy once dropped a really good sandwich down a drain and cried over it, and mythics happened to see and bought him a new one. jimmy also dropped that one down a drain.

okay so this passage is from the superpowers au as well!

“I’m scared,” he admits to Scott one evening, on their way home from the animal shelter (Scott had leapt on the idea of another cat, had enthusiastically looked up shelters and volunteered to go with Jimmy).

this is very far in the future from where we are right now in the au, but in this oneshot jimmy's been really struggling with panic attacks and flashbacks and his therapist suggests he gets a cat. this was inspired by an irl friend who was basically told the same thing and started volunteering at an animal shelter to get to know the cats and see if there was one they wanted to adopt. wanna guess what jimmy's scared about?

19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going?

the first fanfiction i ever wrote was when i was like 5? i wrote fanfic bc my mom reads fanfic all them time and when i was a kid, she would read it to me and my siblings. she was always very supportive of my writing and was my first ever beta reader :) i started writing regularly when i was 11, to the point of bringing a notebook everywhere i went so i could write in my free time. major bump in the road was developing really bad chronic pain in my hands a few years ago. i can't really handwrite anymore and i had to make an adjustment to keyboard which was a struggle. once i got the hang of it i wasn't able to stop writing. i write all the time and i love it. i never want to stop writing.

If a witch offered you the choice between eternal happiness with your one true love and the ability to finally finish, perfect, and publish your dearest, darlingest, most precious WIP in exactly the way you've always imagined it — which would you choose? You can’t have both sorry, life’s a bitch

probably the first tbh. like if i had eternal happiness that prolly means that i'm happy with my life in general, not just my lover. i probably finish that wip to the best of my abilities and am content with it. gotta love being happy.

25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story?

in the superpowers au, scott has depression and handles it with medication! in the trust au, jimmy has a designated pillow to scream into for when scott does anything cute.

kjkjhsakjhdjsad i love you guys so much so very much!! the superpowers au has gotten more support than anything else ive ever written (bar one fic for a previous fandom) and every day i am going FERAL over my ao3 comment section. i wake up and turn off nighttime mode and just watch the screen as i wait for the ao3 email to pop up and then i smile real hard and yeah i love u i love u i think about you all all the time

i will start a sentence with 'and' or 'but' all the time. i will also always put my punctuation outside of quotes mla is stupid

[drumming] BEAST WARRRS

wow, me and ruth watching MORE transformers stuff?? its more likely than you think

sooo yeah we started watching beast wars. which seems like the logical next step after reading the comics and watching tfa, tfp, (some of) g1, cyberverse, even the live action movies back in the day...

however ruth and I have always ruthlessly bullied beast wars bc of how outdated the cgi looks, stating that no matter how good everyone says it is, we can never watch it bc its so ugly

we watched a couple clips, even, including the fight scene from ep2 which is SO funny I'm sorry and we were like ‘yea we cant watch this lol’ BUT LO AND BEHOLD...HERE WE ARE....

so yah this was probably inevitable but yea, ill probably write a few of these post just giving my scattered thoughts

so! so far we’ve watched like 8 eps and I gotta say....I like it a lot so far

as ruth says, ‘it feels like an actual show’ (as opposed to g1 which imo feels more like an extended-toy-commercial-slash-acid-trip)

like, even in the first couple eps, its clear there's actual plot and characters

the bad cgi is admittedly distracting at time, similar to the animation errors in g1

in terms of the plot, I find it to be really interesting - I like the explanations for the beast forms w/the energon making their robot forms short out

the premise is like, so wild to me, in a meta sense - like, this was basically the followup to g1 (ignoring g2, and all the japanese stuff like headmasters and victory), and its SO wildly different than g1 - premise-wise, beast wars feels like something you'd get 20 years down the line in the franchise when they're trying to go at the source material from a new, fresh angle

instead its the follow-up to g1, bc I guess being able to sell toys that transform into animals rather than cars is a good market

oh man is this show 90s. like, it came out in ‘96, so obviously its gonna be 90s, but sometimes it just slaps you in the face w/it

like...the music. lmao like the guitar riffs that play sometimes are so hilariously 90s that I feel myself regressing into an infant (the state I was in irl during the 90s)

plus the dialogue...like half of what cheetor says is just. so very 90s. like Cool Epic Teenz 90s sometimes, which is hilarious and out of date now

speaking of cheetor I love my boy. I already love him from cyberverse but this is og cheetor and I love him here too. he;s just a great kid appeal yellow character and I luv him. he has freckles that's soooo cuteee my boiiii

as for the characters in general...I like how they all have pretty solid characterizations but also undergo character development. and I like how we don't get all too much exposition about them/their backstories so we get to learn things as we go along

optimus primal is cool, and interesting when compared to other optimuses (optimii?)...he seems like a Leader™, but he’s kinda frustrated/done with this shit, especially compared to like, g1 op, who was very patient, and tfa op, who felt very young. this op feels very experienced but also doesn't always wanna be here

who else is there...rhinox! he is great, he seems like the only one w/a brain cell. he seems v levelheaded and cool, I like him a lot. he hasn't gotten much spotlight but I'm interested to see what he’ll do. I like his voice

rattrap omg...ruth hates him bc he’s annoying which, fair, but I like him bc he’s hilarious. he’s a rat from new jersey, and joisey rats are just Like That okay

dinobot...omg...I love him. he’s just dramatic and gay. and also a dinosaur. I think its cool that he has a SWORD bc everyone else has guns (kinda boring), and also he has laser eyes. he is cool and interesting and also he and optimus are dating tyvm

as for the predacons...beast wars megatron oh my goddd....I love him so much he’s SO entertaining lmao...yesssssss....he’s so Shakespearian? idek how else to describe it. he’s very eloquent and he really feels like a high-class play actor who could also rip your face off if he wanted to. he says ‘yessssss’ SO much its so funny. he’s very like, over the top and kinda hammy, but in a completely different way than g1 megs, who could be described similarly but is a very different vibe

bw megatron is basically the polar opposite of tfp megatron

as for the rest of the predacons, we haven't gotten as much character stuff for them but I'm interested in them for sure

tarantulas.....I wanna see more of him, he’s just so entertaining to me idk. gay little spider man

scorponok omfg he’s such a loser in this hvbajkdsfbwkhdsf I cant get over how completely lame and unthreatening he is lmaoooo he’s such a lil bitch. I could cough on him and he’d explode probably. hilarious

terrorsaur is like the starscream of this show from what I can tell so far since he’s already tried to take over the predacons twice. ruth and I hate the weird bird dinosaur noises he makes. actually we hate when any of the characters make animal noises honestly hbvkjdnsfaksl

waspinator sure is here. he hasn't done much but he’s definitely present! and makes some weird terrible bug noises

blackarachnia just got here and then immediately left, which is hilarious. she saw everyone fighting and was like ‘actually fuck this’ and bounced, which is super valid

ok I gotta talk abt the animation again vhbahkjsdfhbkjsf its...really painful...I mean it looks great for being 1996, but since its cgi it does NOT hold up at all (compared to 2d animation, which tends to hold up better - tho low-budget stuff like g1 doesn't hold up great, but it looks bad in a much different way than bad old cgi does)

like, I mentioned it above but that fight scene in ep2...there are just so many moments that weren't supposed to be funny but were hilarious due to the animation. like when the two sides run at each other and clash, when they hit each other half of them just fly offscreen like plastic toys vbahsudfbajskdf its SO visually hilarious I rewound it to watch it again lmao

also anytime they do closeups I cringe so hard, especially on optimus, he just looks so plastic...in general the beast modes looks pretty janky, like cheetors limbs (mostly around the shoulders/hips) look weird af...I feel like rattraps beast mode looks the least wack. beast mode tarantulas also looks weird as hell but I think that's partially bc his colors are so garish lmao

I'm soooo excited to see the stuff that connects beast wars to g1, I know a few things about how its connected thanks to my reading of the g1 tfwiki pages, and I cant wait to see it all unfold

I'm really not spoiled for much, surprisingly...I might know a couple character deaths, and a few other things, but for the most part I have no clue what's going to happen which is really cool actually. I'm excited to see things!!!

ok im angry and putting shit out there bc im angry

wanna know the most traumatizing moment of my childhood? when i was elementary school age i visited my friends house and my mom picked me up. but when we got home i realized i left my ds charger at my friends house. and i don’t even remember being a lil bitch about it but regardless my mom drove me back to my friends house to get it and she yelled and threatened me the entire time. she kept stomping on the gas and it was the fastest my prepubescent ass had ever been in a car. and i was crying and screaming bc i thought she was going to get us in a car accident and i was afraid

but we made it to my friends house and i had to pretend i was completely okay and not crying when i got my charger from my friend and when i left her house my mom did the same thing on the drive back home

and i was still crying at home and i was apologizing vehemently and i think it hit her how much she fucking hurt me bc she hugged me and apologized too, and i think she said she’d never do it again

but then sometime in high school we were leaving the house in the morning so she could drop me off at school. that day i had to turn in an essay for one of my classes. and before we had officially driven out the neighborhood i mentioned to my mom that i had actually printed out one small typo on my essay that i covered up with wite-out, because i didn’t want to waste ink and paper. but she didn’t want me to turn in something like that so she got angry and drove back to the house so i could print out a fixed version of my essay. then when we left the house a second time she stomped on the gas again and kept yelling at me for making us late

but this time i didn’t say anything. i just looked ahead through the windshield or out the window. and i kept drinking water because my throat kept getting dry, the way it does when i’m anxious and not really breathing. i was so upset and i knew in the moment that i was reliving my most traumatic childhood memory. but i guess at that point i knew screaming and crying wouldn’t do me any good, so i just sat there and took it. she yelled the entire ride there.

and when we finally made it to the school she quieted down and i think she apologized and said “i love you” the way she always does before dropping me off at school. but this time i don’t think i said anything as i was leaving. i wasn’t even late for class. i still had time to go to the restroom and take a breather in one of the stalls. i think later that day when we were both at home she apologized again.

but since then i've almost never said “i love you” back. she knows it, she’s mentioned it before. despite the occasional (unintentionally?) hurtful offhand comment, she’s never been that angry at me besides those two times. i don’t think i’ve forgiven her and i definitely will never forget but i just sorta live with it now. i know she struggles with anxiety and depression, things likely inherited by me. i know her own past, how her mom would be hella strict with punishment, but the fact that she still loves her mom very much makes me think that all this is too ingrained in our culture for me to feel especially bad about it.

i can just feel glad that it’s ending here, with me. idk if i’ll ever have kids, probably not simply bc the idea of raising a human sounds like more trouble than it’s worth, but regardless i know that there’s absolutely no way i will ever be as bad as my own parents. maybe that means sacrificing parts of my current relationship with my family but honestly i can’t be worried with genuinely feeling the words “i love you” over my own health, my own future, and the lives of others.

anyway. there’s my truth. writing this out with the intention of actually having people see it has made me feel a lot better. maybe keeping it in for all these years wasn’t great for me.

also, to my irl and/or longtime friends, my mutuals, people in passing................... again, pls don’t try play therapy with me and this post, just.... idk, if there’s anything you’ve kept to yourself for years and feel like talking about, go ahead and message me. i’m not usually one to talk about my feelings but i don’t mind hearing other people’s feelings and i sorta feel better knowing that i’m not alone. we can be sad together lol

not in anything big, just photography journals and portraiture mags

photoshoots are hella expensive tho fuckin. rip ur wallet

so u join a facebook group, which is something u never thought u would do

the idea was that aspiring photographers and aspiring models would meet up, get experience, and maybe make professional relationships

they always invite you to their studios in their houses

to do artsy half nude shoots

so u were pretty unwilling to meet up with most of them

but then this one schmuck posts in the group, just when u so happen to be looking for weekend plans

so day6. a band i only found out about in late june (thank u boxy) and before this i only ever listened to bts and mx bc my friends stan them so i thought i was gonna expect boys dancing, the usual.

i clicked i smile and i lost my fucking shit as soon as i saw the instruments because prior to day6 i was a big 5sos fan so this was rly resonating to me tbh and i was just !!! so fukcng excited??? i never intended to even get into day6 honestly??? but after witnessing how good they are and watching about all of the available mvs at that point i was completely in awe so i caved a created a stan twitter for them.

now, this isnt even the most of it. after becoming a fan i realized how much more these 5 boys are. they compose (if im not wrong) and brian writes lyrics for the songs each month because of their everyday6 project and again, im wow-ed because??? the amount of dedication???? they went from releasing 2 title tracks in 2 years to releasing 12 title tracks and 12 bside tracks in a single year. they havent released the december song yet but haviing to work on 2 or more songs in 4 weeks is fucking amazing if you ask me.

theyre really talented and theyre just so versatile (am i using that word correctly) and each month their songs sound different. this project has given them the opportunity to try new things and you can hear the steady improvement in each of their vocals (dowoonie not so much since he barely gets lines, but we all know hes working hard) and if you listen to their debut song - kongchu and compare it to the version they released along with sunrise it just???? the drumming has even changed from the original version nd its so noticeable that whenever i hear kongchu from 2015 i know its the old ver

to add to those, they do vlives every week and although those vlives are always scheduled it still makes my day seeing them and watching them do the usual.

one thing im upset about is that how they barely promote themselves, they rarely get on variety shows (the most is individual schedules) and we, as mydays never really get to know the boys so its harder to fall for them as a whole. i dont know if its jyp or day6′s decision but if this is how they want to be known for - their music only, then so be it. we still have jae’s presence on youtube, music access and asc. thats the most we can get and it makes it difficult for us to learn about the rest but thats okay.

another thing. their concerts are something i always look forward to (even though my interest has died down a bit;) their concerts are just so fun to listen to?? there’ll always be mydays who stream the concert so everyone else can listen to them play and they sound so good live it drives me crazy. mydays are always so hyped and whenever mydays sing along it just gives me goosebumps??? bc theyre so???? good?????

tldr; day6 deserve more, following wise and promotions wise because they work so hard and once this project ends i hope they’ll manage to rest but still remain as a presence that will be known instead of returning to jyp’s dungeon.

Anyways so far so good and I’m loving the people that are in the cast so far. Amazing cast and even more amazing hosts. I love all of them

It's a very strong cast which is great, but it also means that anyone can go at any time. I'm just gonna talk about them in order of the cast reveal. Brien: I've never spoken to him and have still yet to. He's one of the people in ihos but he's quiet there. Andrew: another ihos person who I haven't spoken to. I've seen him around for years but we've never played a game together. Or at least have never been on the same tribe. Madison: big titty queen. I love her with all my heart and I have no idea what is going to happen with her. She messy but amazing so who knows. She did meet JG and Jacob in person a few weeks ago so they are all close, so i do need to keep an eye out for all of them, even though I am close with them. Hey out there! Long time no see! To be honest, I don't really have the first idea at what I'm doing. I kinda missed the first day and a half because I was working and then immediately went out with friends, but I think I'm making up for it! I'm starting to chat one-on-one with people, no strategy talk yet though. Which could be real dangerous since I don't have immunity, but there are people that just...haven't talked at all, as far as I can tell at least. Luckily I have a few prior connections in Madison, Joanna, and Andrew. I know Pat and Ricky too but I'm iffy on how they feel about me. I'm pretty sure I ghosted Pat's game earlier this year, SORRY PAT! I got busy and then I felt too embarrassed to show back up D: and I've just never been too sure about if Ricky likes me or not. But other than that I've talked a bit to Madeleine and Vi and I love them both, messy challenge chat icons. I totally missed some messages from Brien, Jacob, and Kevin though, but I've messaged them all back now so hopefully they don't hold that against me. Tribal isn't until tomorrow, so I assume that's when the real scrambling will begin. I just don't know when to jump into alliance talks, I don't want to play too hard too fast.
