Go off queen
It's your blog and you should be able to talk about whatever you want after all
aww thank you 🥺 i appreciate it <33
i do really not like spreading negativity esp when it's on a topic i have strong feelings about, and let's say the D.A fandom especially tends to be. extreme about the way it reacts to people disagreeing with them.
And look. I'm not immune to it because sometimes i get caught up by the genuinely rancid vibe in the fandom as well, and i think those games are designed for us to have strong feelings to start with.
but it also means i don't want to go too deep into controversial thoughts because i genuinely don't want to get to a point where i'll see someone screenshot my posts to dunk on it and say i'm the reason media literacy is dead and why the fandom is so toxic (citing things i've actually seen on said blog, for instance though not directed at me but at takes i've seen taken out of context. except i knew the context so knew this was a bad faith argument.).
Like can't even dislike shits in peace in here.
#sorry this is probably my most solas moment but i try to be kind and stuff#and when i discuss things level headed with people i do think i'm pretty humble#i don't think i have the ultimate readings and i am likely super wrong about things all the time#because analysis remains also an emotional approach and it can't be helped#and i need to hold on to this humility to not get caught on in my own head#analysis is also pretty much shapped by experience and i do not have the final reading on things#and sometimes things can be decent in one way but fumble another#and what will be important to not fumble will be different from one person to the next#depending to the themes that resonated with you to start with#but when i see people dunk on feelings i have while taking them out of context and also being rude about it#and then saying 'media literacy is dead'#i feel myself turning into a pride demon on the spot#sorry i only have two literature analysis diplomas i graduated from in two languages with praises for my analytic skills#and with a teacher genuinely begging me to continue advanced literature analysis classes because my approach was rare and precious#so clearly i don't know what i'm talking about at all and i'm the idiot here#like holy shit. lol.#this fandom is still the one i dislike the most and alas the fact i dislike the 4th game doesn't help#bc i really was hopeful and optimistic about it! i didnt want to dislike it!!!!#but i at least don't want to be taken for an idiot for it#but coughs. anyway. so that's one of the reason i'm not petty on main#the real reason is i don't want to impose that on my followers. I don't like being negative needlessly.#the second reason is that if i'm met with hostility where someone act like i'm dumb i will do things i will regret.#It's just that no one saw this side of me there most time because you've all been nice to me here#again. this is my solas moment. one of the reasons my therapist goes 😬 when i talk about him#ichareply#anonymous#ichasalty

"An unfortunate byproduct of Danganronpa writing 50 seasons of 'Hope Guys', recycled tropes".... I am listening. 👁 Are you open to questions about the broader perception of Yoshito + his classmates, how the audience sees them, and what 50 seasons of killing games has done? Bc I have questions 👁
YEEEAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
referencing THESE GUYS!
YAYAYAYAY alright SO a lottttt of this story revolves around the postgame aspect of these people and how truly diluted danganronpa and by extension these characters have become. team dr has gone through FORTY NINE seasons already, so it is extremmmmmely easy to run out of ideas LMFAOOO. danganronpa is so successful and so popular however that theyre gonna continue to churn out season after season until it stops making them ridiculous amounts of money. even if the quality has gone down considerably, and even if the teenagers auditioning to be on the show arent even super interested in making a good story as much as they just want to be a part of their favorite series. the ending for season 49 was regarded as extremely boring across the board, so team dr wanted to REALLY spice things up with the golden anniversary of danganronpa. advertising was INSANE. it was the only thing ANY social media website could talk about for MONTHS.
yoshito is the protagonist of the 50th danganronpa season! in the au he lives in its extremely hard to create an original protagonist for danganronpa just because its all been done before, and nobody on team dr is gonna be able to create a guy who is brand new and unheard of. so they made yoshito. team dr knows that the audience is extremely receptive to "hope guys" (characters who follow an extremely watered down ideology of hope until its basically lost all meaning from when makoto naegi had first defined it in the series) so they made yoshito optimistic, recklessly selfless, and extremely trusting. the audience liked him enough throughout the series, mostly because he didnt really do anything that would upset them. and that was on purpose!! team dr knows what their audience will like and dislike, so they create characters based off of tropes and easily definable traits that they can market.
the characters leave the killing game simulator (with a fucking bang, might i add, considering the majority of them get executed in chapter five due to team dr wanting a "grand ending" to the 50th season) and learn they aren't real people. which is So Awesome. but they are now one of the most popular seasons worldwide, mostly due to the hype surrounding their season and the overwhelmingly divided reception for its ending that caused a LOT of uproar, whether that be good or bad. so not only do these characters have to dissect their own realities, picking apart every trope that not only makes them who they are but also has been meticulously crafted so that they remind the audience of who they aren't and could be, but they have to keep playing pretend basically. they have to stand in front of a camera and say "ohohoho it was so much fun!! it was a once in a life time experience!! it was as entertaining for us as it was for you all!! all of you should audition for danganronpa!!"
yoshito is hit particularly hard by this postgame considering he is the standard protagonist of it all lmfao. ryobe as well but because he was an antagonist created to deliberately make peoples lives worse. naomi barely has time to even DISSECT how unreal her reality is because she is truly getting eaten alive by guilt over wherever shes at lmfao
THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY <3

skyler samuels + cisfemale + she/her — jinkies ! is that cassandra “cass” montgomery? the twenty four year old is known around coolsville as the rose coloured glass because they are altruistic + hopeful, as well as naive + a pushover. they currently work at mystery inc as a detective and everyone there knows that they love the shadow of hands on a white wall, the sway of blooms of lavender in the wind and the intricacy of museum ceilings.《 molly. 17. she/her. gmt. 》
hey darlings !!! i am so SO sorry that this is so late and also written after ive already posted some interactions i stg im a mess but this is cass!! (originally clara but i changed her name bc 1. cass fits better and 2. i cant think of clara without thinking of the love of my life clara oswald (baby girl)
okay so a little background on cassandra “cass” montgomery (always cass! shes not the type to complain really but she hates being called cassie for,,,, reasons unknown)
TW FOR PARENTAL DEATH
she was born to rather rich parents richard and susanna montgomery (posh people names) who were both doctors of private practices in england and she has two older brothers (who i’ll eventually be opening as wanted connections so names arent set in stone!! but i do like elliot for one of them)
her parents were pretty nice! bit distant because their jobs took a lot out of them but they were rich so they gave her quite a nice childhood. but shes not used to people being openly praising of her so she tries REALLY HARD to make people like her which can come across as clingy or annoying but shes just. never aware of whether people dislike her or not bc her parents were kinda bad examples at hashtag showing affection
she came to america on a fancy student exchange project for her fancy school and just. LOVED it. like shes the quintessential brit but theres something about how everythings a bit bigger and brighter in america??
and so after graduating uni (for english literature and history) she used some of her parents’ fund for their kids and hopped back to america
so after travelling around the states for a lil bit she found coolsville and absolutely found her people!!
but she got so invested in solving mysteries and making friends and generally Doing A Lot that she didnt visit home for ages and while she was away, her mum died.
and shes incredibly angry at herself for not being there and so incredibly sad that she didnt get to say goodbye to her mum
but she. hasnt told any of her coolsville friends because shes afraid she’ll lose the Happy Joyful Optimist label shes fit herself into and she really doesnt want to
hashtag let cass (not cassie) montgomery cry
