I FINISHED MEHILÄINEN, FRIENDS <3

so since we're keeping the classic Bee motiff of hiding the eyes, (don't expect to ever see them), i chose to go with something that would fit the whimsical wackiness of Moomin! Their eyes are something no one outside the Moominvalley can see, even if they aren't necessarily trying to hide it. No matter how far apart they are from The Joxter and his smoking pipe, the thick cloud of tobacco always seems to follow them the moment the two step out of Moominvalley for the winter.

Regardless, their lack of visible eyes never makes them any less emotive. They're the much more energetic side of The Joxter; when The Joxter sleeps, Mehil is in the Moominhouse finding new hobbies with Moominmamma, developing their creative process with Moominpappa and Snork, or going on countless adventures with Moomin and the gang!

The Mehiläinen will never run out of reasons to pull The Joxter out of bed. Both a curse that takes away hours of precious sleep, but a blessing he can't help but want to keep.

Ponyboy is kneeling in the still, quiet night between the lifeless bodies of his brothers, handsome faces carved out garishly in crimson and rust, horror and despair sucking all of the air out of the night. Their chests are as still as the evening, the faint flickering of the yellow street lamp illuminating their lack of animation.

In a blur, the Camaro reappears, bearing down on him until the headlights white out his vision.

All at once, he’s bolting upright in bed, chest heaving like he’s just run ten miles, a strangled shout that sounds an awful lot like ‘No!’ lodged behind his teeth as he tries to keep his head from swimming at the sudden motion.

the reason I like Grimmjow so much is, obviously, because he’s a feline-adjacent character and that’s all I really need. and that’s also why my mission in this life is to slap as many feline traits on him as possible.

but before that I need to reinforce my “cat person Ichigo” agenda, because he would definitely be one, and not just because of Grimmjow, no. I just feel like if Ichigo had to get a pet it would be a cat, because cats are rather self-sufficient and independent, they don’t require 24/7 attention (rather hate it even), their needs are easily met and over all they are quiet, calm. cats enjoy a great nap and lazing around, but do get into a playful mood at times, which all sounds to me very much like Ichigo. also I think the ways cats show affection would really appeal to him, as well as their companionable silence, their presence small, but comforting, because they let you know you’re not alone.

so, enter Grimmjow with all his feline grace, a predator to his very core, snappy and yet intelligence shines in all that he does. and when things come down to affection he is still so very cat-like with it. a cat who’s been hurt, had to fight and hunt to survive, bristly and quick to anger and oh so slow to trust. just like the stray that you see on a street, that you get down on your knees for and thrust your hand out so it can sniff it or swipe its claws at or get frightened by, forcing it to retreat, run away, whatever wins out in that stray’s mind: curiosity, flight or fight. and Grimmjow is that stray too, but pride won’t let him run away and he’s been wondering the world long enough to not be so easily swayed into what could very well be a trap by mere curiosity. that is, until Kurosaki Ichigo.

and so Grimmjow meets him and falls into his trap, not willingly, not without a fight. he hisses and growls, he yells and spits venom, he scrambles to get out, claws like daggers swiping at everything, anything, to find something to dig into, so he can pull himself out. and yet he can’t, and with time resigns himself to the fact, that he doesn’t even really want to.

Kurosaki’s presence at first disappoints, nothing, but prey in all his terror, shaking hands, erratic movements, but as the fight goes on the boy feels less and less like prey, and then his mouth is twisted into something deranged, something similar if not identical to Grimmjow’s own smile, all sharp teeth and the promise of violence. maybe not so disappointing after all. every next time they fight each other after that Kurosaki’s presence gets more intense, at times making Grimmjow’s hair stand on end. and then they don’t see each other for a long time, and then they do, and Grimmjow somehow failed to notice when Kurosaki’s presence stopped feeling like something crushing down on him, urging him to fight against whatever it is and destroy it, and more like a blanket, light, but there, seemingly insignificant and yet comforting and warm.

Kurosaki Ichigo doesn’t feel like a fight all the time anymore, although Grimmjow enjoys every second of it when he does, and he finds that he doesn’t mind it as much as he thought he would. the boy, who’s not even a boy anymore, is there, on his knees before a stray, holding out his hand, ready to bleed, but hoping for softness. and Grimmjow is that stray, ready to claw and yet choosing to trust, if only for a second. and when that trust doesn’t result in hurt, Grimmjow finds it brings security.

anyway, before I ramble even more, oh my god, what is this?!?!?? all I wanted to write was “Grimmjow and Ichigo are like those lions you see in TV programs about wildlife, nuzzling each other’s heads and then flopping down against the other for a nap”??? what is this shit 💀🙏🏻??

the cool thing about 911 is that it was built like a queerbait while also having queer characters from the beginning. i love hen sm and love that her sexuality wasnt some bombshell but was clear from day one. but here me out. the buddie of it all felt like a queerbait for so long so a fandom built up with really good fanfiction (shows with queerbaits always end up having the best fic) and just so much angst but now half of that popular ship is canonically queer and the show has kinda backed itself into a corner where (to me) buddie has to go canon (seriously there is no other way for it to go without feeling inauthentic) this weird weewoo show was like here is some queer rep but also here is a queerbait and we all just hung on and fought for long enough for it to basically no long be a queerbait (??) i feel like im not making any sense i am just excited for s8 and the potential of queer eddie (give me demi!eddie you cowards)

I knew it would work, but I didn't think it would be this effective. It almost makes me laugh, and it almost makes me feel sorry for her at the same time.

I've done it. I've taught that insolent child the lesson she needed to learn and now she is nothing but a hollow version of the chipper young lady she was before. She's completely broken! Decided to do both ending 2 (my canon) and ending 3 to show how different yet similar the routes are!

++ some rambles/explanations under the cut:

ASCENDANT ENDING

THE PRENUP

this is sending me bc i have this long ass timeline that leads to them signing a prenup:

- astarion ascends, then breaks up with selene bc she didn’t want to become his spawn

- selene comes with karlach and wyll to avernus, but she doesn’t last long (she’s a lover not a fighter 💀) karlach convinces her to go back to faerun. she tells her that she has been on autopilot ever since, and she has not had the time to process the breakup. the constant fighting in the hells was not helping

- hesitantly she goes back to waterdeep, where she learns that she is being summoned back to evereska. she journeys there and gets celebrated as the savior of baldur’s gate. she starts creating songs abt her adventures. somehow, she still felt as an outsider in her family despite getting acknowledgment. she goes back to waterdeep where she feels more at home

- she slowly builds her reputation. the reunion party also happens during this time.

- 3 years pass by. she goes back to baldur’s gate ever since the brain. not as a hero, but as a performer this time 🥳

- they see each other again ever since the party

- zariel arc begins(!) selene recruits astarion (and the gang!) to help defeat zariel. this is where they rebuild their relationship, whatever it was. they make house of hope their homebase

- before the final fight, astarion, desperate and pissed off that selene was not jumping on his advances, propositions (again 😩) to turn her. they get into this massive fight. selene tells him that the only way that they can make this work is to enter a (magical, hell-powered) contract, where he can’t compel her and in return she can’t leave or betray him. astarion, who was planning all along to turn selene into a vampire bride (where he actually can’t compel her) instead of a spawn, agrees to it since the contract was heavily in his favor. BOOM PRENUP. they both sign it. astarion turns her the very same night 💀 they’re basically married at this point

- they defeat zariel yay, slowly take over baldur’s gate while also getting a vacation home in waterdeep while also traveling the world yadda yadda. then they have a wedding despite already being married for years bc why not ✨

THE WEDDING

at this point selene is a very famous singer, and astarion close to becoming the shadow ruler of baldur’s gate. their wedding gets called the wedding of the century— think the royal wedding, imagine the masses crowding on the gates trying to see what’s going on inside 💀 they hold it during the daytime to squash all the rumors of them being vampires. their motif is white and gold, and is heavily influenced by elven culture. selene’s gown’s train is around 20 ft long. their cake is 3 minscs and 8 boos tall. the festivities lasted for DAYS. lots of hedonistic debauchery occurred ehehe

THE SONGS

so i chose songs that had wedding vibes but also toxic when you listen to the lyrics. chemtrails over the county club is about choosing to live in your own safe and comfortable bubble despite the ongoing horrors outside (cue in my snow globe symbolism for them). there’s also this line where it says “it’s never too late, baby, so don’t give up” which makes me feel that there’s still hope in the relationship becoming healthy… eventually 🤡 (i mean, they actually have forever between them). you belong to me is very fitting bc astarion can let her roam the world freely, but ultimately she can’t leave him. (this also aligns with one of the voicelines a!astarion has if tav leaves with karlach to avernus as a spawn— he tells them that he allowed them to go with karlach bc he’s not some “controlling monster”. he could summon tav back beside him if he wanted to.)

SPAWN ENDING

THE WEDDING

as for the spawn ending, at first they want to hold it with just the two of them but then word gets around, and now everyone was excited for the wedding! they didn’t expect so many people would want to congratulate and celebrate with them. imagine 7k+ people wanting to attend 💀💀💀

they hold the wedding reception in the underdark, but made their vows privately under the night sky 🥹😭 MOON AND STAR MOTIF LFG 😭😭😭

THE SONGS

just a quick one: there’s this line in your universe that says “you can thank your stars all you want but, i’ll always be the lucky one” which i think perfectly sums up how he views tav/selene. bc who in their right mind would help a vampire— a monster, let alone give them their blood? only tav/selene. (which also aligns with his voiceline saying “other people don’t have a heart like that. you’re… you. no one is like that.”) ANYWAY ENOUGH RAMBLING THANKS FOR READING 😘

Hello!!!! I wake up and have breakfast. Papa goes to work. And i have classes every day . Exsept weekends. I like math. Math is fun. And when papa leaves, someone comes over like ms. Rose. She usually takes care of me when papa is away. Or Ms Rouge. Shes very cool. And funny robot. hehe. I like when mr Sonic comes but papa makes a weird face whenever hes here. I dont know why. Mr sonic is fun :( then papa comes home and we eat dinner and he tucks me to bed and i sleep!!!!

I have friends like Cream and Charmy !!! I like tea parties with cream and Charmy is fun to race and run around. Sometimes Tails comes over and he shares his big cool machines and he explains about them . Papa also gives that weirs face ro him :(
