The strong githyanki warrior, who will never admit weakness, telling her partner that she wants to be protected. Her going from seeing them as weak and inferior to seeing them as someone who can provide her safety. Seeing them as someone she can be vulnerable and soft around. Someone she can trust to save her when she gets herself in trouble and that she can trust to watch over her when she sleeps.

And they’re probably the first person she’s ever felt this way around. All of her classmates could slit her throat at any sign of weakness, her teachers could beat her for the smallest mistake. But her partner? She can make mistakes around them. She can be vulnerable without fearing a dagger to the heart.

And no one ever talks about it. It’s so good, but it’s completely ignored.

Kissing their Face | Headcanons for Karlach, Lae'zel, and Shadowheart

Lae’zel: 

If anyone else is around, she pretends she hates it. 

She’ll push you away, and groan like it’s the most disgusting thing to her. 

When it’s just the two of you though? 

She still tries to act like she doesn’t like it, but it’s so obvious she does. 

You can feel the way her cheeks flush at the attention and how it only grows the longer you pepper kisses across her face. 

In all honesty, she is so touch-starved, though she will never admit this. 

So having you in her lap so she can hold you while you kiss her quickly becomes one of her favourite things. 

At the end of a long day while you’re both sitting in your tent, Lae’zel surprises you by pulling you into her lap, moving you so you’re facing her. She won’t actually ask for what she wants, so it takes a few minutes before you realise she wants you to kiss her. So you do, but then you keep pressing kisses along her jaw, across her cheeks and across her forehead. Kissing each one of the markings on her face. Tracing the scars with kisses. You can feel Lae’zel relax, the tension of the day finally leaving her. 

By the time you’re finished, she’s looking up at you like you’re everything. You do your best to memorise her expression, because you have never seen her look so soft. 

Karlach: 

Karlach loves all kinds of physical affection. 

The moment she’s able to touch you without risk of burning you, she’s almost always touching you in some way. 

So needless to say, she LOVES having you cover her face in kisses. 

She loves picking you up and holding you while you kiss every part of her face. 

She’s smiling the entire time, laughing with the sheer joy of getting to be close to you. 

Karlach’s hands under your thighs, holding you up while you hold her face between your palms. Each kiss you press against her skin is a reminder that she’s free now, to love and to be loved, to do whatever she wants. And what she wants right now is to bring you to your tent so she can return the favour and cover your face in kisses too. 

(Bonus points if you’re wearing lipstick and she gets to see all the lipstick marks after)

Shadowheart: 

Shadowheart actually really likes it because she likes the attention. 

She’s a bit embarrassed about it at first, but with each kiss she’s smiling more and more. 

Eventually, she gets to the point where she’s more than happy to seek you out when she wants attention, and will do so often. 

She’s more than happy to sit there patiently while you kiss across her face, kissing each faint freckle that dusts her cheeks. 

She likes to sit in your lap while you kiss her, something she will do unannounced in the evening. 

You’re sitting in your tent reading when Shadowheart appears at the doorway. She simply takes the book from your hand and sets it beside you before settling herself in your lap, wrapping her arms around your neck. She smiles, coy and confident. You can feel her smile grow when you kiss her. You kiss her lips, then across her cheeks, then her nose, everywhere you can, and then return to her lips once more.

Obviously durges have a pretty set backstory but in my head I love to mess around with canon so he’s got a few bhaalspawn older siblings who are fellow resisting durges (bbg is trying his best to be a good person) (his siblings are only semi resisting though they’re still pretty murderous and unhinged) including the twins™️ who are just chaos incarnate and also willing to kill or die for him cause I figured he deserved one semi decent family reunion even if it’s only in my delusions lmao

But he’s a circle of spores Druid and a little shit, one of my nat1 babies (ill cry the day he rolls a successful throw on his first try istg), and he’s absolutely enamored with Halsin and Astarion. His bestie is Lae’zel for no reason other than they vibe together really well and they’re both a little stabby.

He’s really good at resisting the urge but that doesn’t mean he’s against doing terrible things he just wants to do them on his terms and hates when anything or anyone tries to force him to do something (he is the butlers worst nightmare fr). He probably would’ve killed a lot more people if he hadn’t been told he was supposed to do it beforehand but he’s stubborn as hell so he’s become a borderline accidental hero.

And yeah there’s more Tav stuff for you. I have like 8 other Tavs, but he is the one I’m playing most recently so I am going to hold off on spamming you with the others lmao

okay but the whole "i'm not doing this because you told me to do it" is so fucking real. love that that's one of his motivators to try and be a better person because somehow that feels like such a dark urge thing to do?

also love the lore bending with the siblings! somehow i think that the outside influence of having multiple resistant durges to look up to would make for really interesting dynamic. especially if they're super adamant about deimos following that path? i don't know if that's the case in this situation but could you imagine that amount of pressure?

anyway, ignore me rambling about YOUR tav. he's such a cutie and i'm glad he's got the elf boys to keep him company on his long, perilous journey!!

The difference in headcannons between people who’ve romanced Lae’zel and those who haven’t is so funny to me.

People who didn’t romance her: She’d rather turn into a mindflayer than even think of touching you in a loving way. She lowkey hates you and only ever tops. She will never comfort or soothe you. If you try to dom her, she’ll stab you.

People who romanced her: Yeah, so she’s totally a bottom and has a praise kink. She also thought it was hot when Shadowheart attempted to murder her. Likes cuddling, but will never be little spoon. Melts completely when she’s around you.

Like??? Are we talking about the same character? What do you mean she hates being gentle, she literally asks if the two of you could cuddle in the actual game😭

I’ve been trying to write this fic on and off for a while now, and just can’t get it right so I’m just gonna get this idea out there because I think the world deserves to hear it.

Why aren’t there any Sick!Lae’zel fics??

I think it’s a really good prompt for her because-hear me out- she’s an alien from outer space! Who grew up on a rock! She probably doesn’t have any type of immune system at all. You can’t convince me that this girl isn’t constantly getting sick.

She’d probably be so bratty when she’s sick too. She’d probably start off with denial. Tav would literally have to force her to rest. But then, once she’d accepted her fate and gotten into the ‘too sick to do anything but sleep and cry’ phase, she’d be the most bossy, miserable, clingy thing ever. She’d complain about everything, but if Tav got up to get her something, she’d complain that they’re leaving her “in her hour of weakness”. She’d be soooo dramatic, I swear.

Art of my War Cleric of Vlaakith Tav.

Currently doing a speed run Lae’zel romance to see if being a Cleric of Vlaakith changes anything in her story. Unfortunately you don’t get any special cut scenes or dialogue for defying Vlaakith 😔 I hope they add something like that in the future where you need to choose a new god or change your class.

Still a fun Tav to play though. I had a man stab himself to death. 10/10 would recommend an evil cleric play through.
