You can see it. That lovely drawing is exactly what he's thinking of doing in this little moment.
A missed chance. But he still made John laugh.
He lives for John's laugh.
Oh, damn it, BBC Sherlock.

"John, there’s something ... I should say; I-I’ve meant to say always and then never have. Since it’s unlikely we’ll ever meet again, I might as well say it now."

"I love you."

hey I loved the third episode of world gone wrong!! the perfect mix of silly and serious, and the character dynamics are perfect <3 I have one question! did you have anything in mind for what malik's poem might have been? what's his style, what kind of a poet is he?
hi! thank you so much for this ask! i love writing for this show and the third episode of World Gone Wrong holds a special place in my heart because i think it's the first time you the audience fully realize just how ride-or-die the two hosts are for each other.
what a great question! in the case of the snippet of poem you hear on the show, it's sort of written as a loose carl sandburg pastiche. it's an interesting challenge to write a character who is canonically a talented poet because while i do write poems on the rare occasion a poem-shaped idea grabs me (and in fact that particular quote on the show i cannibalized from a longer piece i'd written a while back), i don't write much poetry and i have more confidence in my skills at pretty much every other form of creative writing.
it's a similar challenge to writing a character who is much smarter than me. like, in a words-based medium, how hard can i dance around the conjuring of sentences which must create the illusion of something that is by definition beyond me? (different writers grapple with this in different ways. for an example of how maybe not to do this, see bbc sherlock in its later series.)
but the thing about faking intelligence is, as you sit there at your computer, writing the words, you're free to do research on topics your character knows well. it is hard to fake creativity and skill. so at this point, i'm only really comfortable showing something malik has written if it's a joke. i'm a lot more confident in my punchlines than my poetry.
we did talk a little about malik's writing amongst the producers and the actors. slam poetry definitely came up at some point. i also think that since malik's work often centers questions of identity and performance and the self, he is very comfortable doing pastiches across a wide variety of styles if that helps make his point. on some level, a lot of poetic style is a kind of performance, i think.
idk, this is one of those aspects of the show where i'm really excited that other writers will be able to play with these characters in the future. it is my hope that at some point we'll get to hear more of his work.
@worldgonewrongpod, you are also welcome to weigh in here!

It's true...but at least Good Omens was kind enough to give us a cute dance and damn kiss! 😭
Tumblr media
Even if it did make us tear out our own hearts, I still appreciate the hell out of the open existence of the romantic love in thier relationship.
(I'm still not okay, though💔)
I mean...how hard did they tease the tension between these two without delivering?
Tumblr media
Damn it, bbc...
The Sherlock fandom is whispering across to the Good Omens fandom.

Fleur-de-lis
Once again a project I started a hell of a long time ago.
Back when I was deep into both the Sherlock BBC and the Agents of SHIELD fandoms, (before one produced a rather strange final season, and the other took turns that lead it down stranger paths every year), I wondered would happen if the two fandoms met.
Skye has always been my favorite AoS character, and while I love every version of her that the show gave us, I've a special place in my heart for the Skye we met first: the hacktivist living in the back of her van, so alone, so desperate to find a place where she could belong, ready and willing to take on the world even when she might not have been strong for it (and she knew it too!).
So I asked myself, what if Skye hadn't been quite as alone, quite as desperate as she was back in S1. Still looking for her birth-parents, still looking to make connections; yet at the same time knowing she has a place, and people waiting for her if she ever needs them. How different would things be?
My answer: a hell of a lot!
Also: this series.
Tumblr media
Series will be seven parts long in total. They're all written and betaed already and I plan on posting weekly.
The total fandoms involved will be: Agents of SHIELD, Sherlock BBC, James Bong (Craig Era), some of the wider MCU (from early movies and no further than S2 of AoS, and even then, not all of it, for obvious reasons), and a cameo or two from Criminal Minds.

I’m bored out of my mind so now you get a mini list of my current au’s for my interests! I’ll do a bigger version later but again, right now, I’m trying to finish Whumptober and adulting is also a very fun thing happening in my life!
Isn’t that swell? /s
This is very informal, but I’m more than willing to talk about any once Whumptober is finished! As mentioned before, this is a multi-fandom blog so… you’ll be surprised at what you can find here! I’m also ADHD and just like to infodump!
So.
Here’s a silly list of au’s and crossovers! Read below the cut for them!
Cars (Pixar)
Infection AU
The Roads We Take: post-apocalyptic/virus inspired universe where an outbreak occurs and Doc Hudson makes it across several state lines in search of Lightning, hoping to bring home. Back to Radiator Springs, but of course, it won’t be easy.
The Radiation Verse: Bad End Infection AU. In an apocalyptic setting, luck is scarcely on Lightning’s side and well, after witnessing a distressing event - he only has Cal to rely on and trying to reach Radiator Springs won’t be easy.
Merlin (BBC)
Court Magician AU: In which Arthur legalizes magic and Merlin becomes a Court Warlock- I mean, Magician. Unfortunately, this comes with a little bit of resistance.
[REDACTED]: Post-Canon Continuation. Merlin has long resigned himself to the thought of Arthur not returning and now runs a little shop, but it seems destiny’s about to give him and so many others a second chance.
Godling Merlin AU: Merlin is more than just a warlock. He’s the patron deity of magic and now that Uther’s declared war on his people, well, there’s no telling what might happen.
BNHA
Guard Dog Dabi AU: Tread with caution when it comes to this AU. It’s not for the faint of heart. Touya Todoroki meets a different path and Endeavor’s willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the future and legacy of the Todoroki family - even if it means handing his eldest son to the Hero Commission. And things won’t be the same. In which Touya is subjected to borderline pet whump and has become property of the Commission.
(There is another AU, but I’ll talk about it later!)
Wordgirl
The (Mis)adventures of Technofire and Lexidoe: A Role Reversal AU with a twist. Where Tobey is a superhero and Becky is a supervillain, shenanigans are about to ensue.
Lab Rat AU: Ongoing Whumptober Prompt/DD:DNE. Wordgirl is captured by the government but of course, it’s met with retaliation. Heavy Content will be present in this.
Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja
Tales of the Nine: Randy’s chosen to bring back the Norisu Nine but the journey to their success is perilous but maybe, just maybe, they’ll be able to finish what the original clan started.
(There’s honestly too many for me to lift if I’m being honest- and because this fixation lasted for many months, I’ll just write all of them in a separate post. This fandom holds a special place in my heart!)
Multi-Fandom AU’s
Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons: Crossover between Rise of the Guardians, Brave, Tangled, and How to Train Your Dragon. This is my own spin on it. A separate post will be dedicated to it!
Secret Quartet: Expanded Version of the Secret Trio. American Dragon: Jake Long, Danny Phantom, Randy Cunningham, and Miraculous Ladybug all rolled into one!
Superwholock + Merlin: Developing Crossover between Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock! As well as Merlin. The crossover was not begun by me, but this version is mine.
Mystery Kids: My Own Spin on the Mystery Kids AU, but since I haven’t seen Psychonauts - it’s replaced with Danny Phantom. Because I can

Hi....If you don't mind, can I ask, what are your top 10 (or top 7) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Thanks....
Ooooof this is such a hard question!! Thank you for the ask, I love this kinda stuff!!
Without further ado, and in no particular order, here they are!
1. Any of MXTX’s content (I’m counting them as one because I love too many things 😭): For me, these novels and adaptations were my first foray into danmei and Chinese media. I also discovered them at a time when I was questioning my identity and coming to terms with the fact I’m queer (which is…not really accepted in my family). I watched The Untamed first, then read fan translations of the novels before they started being officially translated, and I keep coming back to them because I find them so thought provoking. I like that none of the characters are presented as perfect people; they’re all flawed humans, but we love them anyway.
2. Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty: found family, Sherlock Holmes-like detective skills, spies, political machinations, food as a form of love? What more could I ask for! I just love this show. Haven’t gotten to read the novel it’s based on yet, but I’m hoping to soon!
3. Yuri on Ice: one of the first anime I ever watched, and it’s just so sweet and lovely. Definitely one of my comfort shows! Plus there are some crazy good fics. Still hoping one day we’ll get the movie!
4. Harry Potter: I struggle with this one a lot, because I very much dislike JKR’s transphobic rhetoric. But the fan spaces of Harry Potter provided me with support and escape I needed many times throughout my life, and for that the fandom of Harry Potter will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s been a part of my life nearly as long as I can remember.
5. Thousand Autumns: another one with some very morally grey characters! I love thinking about who and what is right and wrong, and this novel definitely makes you think about it. Lots of political world building as well, which I love.
6. My Cousin Vinny: a fantastic movie that I have many fond memories about. The jokes and digs about the south vs the north in the US always make me laugh, and as someone who has lived many years in both of those areas, those scenes make me giggle.
7. Haikyuu!: another one of my comfort shows! It’s just happy and fun and adorable. I love this one. I watched it sooooo many times during lockdown.
8. BBC Merlin: was morgana my bi awakening? I shan’t tell! Suchhh a good show, I miss it so much. Another fandom that has some incredibleeeee fanfics. Y’all writers are so talented.
9. Our Flag Means Death: I think this was maybe my first piece of media that explicitly included multiple queer characters but the entire storyline wasn’t only about the otherness and pain of being queer (or just a stereotyped role). This show made me feel seen in ways no other media had before. Plus, the show is gay pirates. It doesn’t get much better than that!
10. Avatar the Last Airbender: me and my siblings all loved this show, and we still watch it together often whenever we’re together. It’s so good. Zuko’s character development is still quite possibly the best redemption arc I’ve seen. I love it.
Phew. It was so hard to choose 10! I’m glad you didn’t ask me to pick one because I’m afraid that would’ve been impossible for me! What are your favorites???
💚

A and B for the fandom asks!
Heyaaaa thanks for these : )
A - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.
Well number 1 has to be my ineffables, Crowley/Aziraphale from Good Omens. I’ll read allllll the fic - the angsty post s02 pining/reunion fics, the post s01 long friendship realized fics, the south downs retirement fics, hell even the human au fics (although those are a bit more hit or miss for me). I just cannot get enough of them!!! They are the ultimate to me. The outpouring of fic and art and meta post s02 makes being in the fandom extra fun rn. Also I like both the ace and allo interpretations, if the writing is good.
My number 1 used to be Johnlock, specifically from BBC Sherlock. While we all know how that show fucked up, Johnlock fic still has a special place in my heart and I find myself revisiting favorites often. Similar to Good Omens, the post s02 Reichenbach fall hiatus art/fic/meta was a great great time and makes me smile to remember it.
Nick x Charlie from Heartstopper are adorable and sweet and are definitely my fluffy pairing. Alex and Henry from RWRB are like their older siblings in a way - I just love them too (more book versions for Alex and Henry, although the movie was lovely, I just feel like the book goes more in depth).
Also love Merthur (specificially from BBC Merlin). I don’t even really like the show??? but I looovveeee the fic world, especially when the whole ensemble makes an appearance. Modern AUs are really fun for me in this verse.
Gotta shoutout my OG ot3 Parker/Hardison/Elliot from Leverage. Their canon relationship was beautifully developed and I love when fic takes it to the next level. Lots of found family vibes, idiots to lovers, all the best tropes.
The first ship I ever read fic for was Rose x The Doctor (Nine or Ten) over on whofic.com. They’re still a huge ship for me (Doomsday still makes me cry fuck) so even tho I don’t seek out fic as much anymore I still reblog a lot of gifsets and stuff.
I was on the Stucky train HARD for the longest time, and I still go back and read fic, especially from the Winter Soldier or Endgame fix it era. Another Marvel ship I read a lot of was Matt/Foggy from the Netflix Daredevil. Avengers era ensemble fics (everyone living in Stark Tower) are also a favorite.
I went hard on Drarry for a while and I still go back to certain fics but I wouldn’t say it’s a current favorite per say.
Gonna save my last big favorite ship for the next question cause it fits really well.
B - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.
So!! My last big main ship is Bagginshield (Thorin/Bilbo from the Hobbit) and this is one that I didn’t really even get into until I read The Riven Crown by beautifulfiction. She was one of my fave Sherlock authors and so when I saw she had written Hobbit fic I was like welllllll normally I don’t read fic of written media (especially Tolkien cause I grew up reading Middle Earth); but it’s B soooo I’ll give it a try. And oh my fucking god I was HOOKED. And now Bagginshield is probably #3 in terms of how many fics I have bookmarked and how often I think about them lol. Richard Armitage knew what the fuck he was doing as Thorin in those movies. I also love the ensemble aspect with all the dwarves and I love fics (like the Riven Crown) where it gets into the bureaucracy of rebuilding a kingdom like Erebor and also rebuilding trust in the aftermath of Thorin’s gold lust.
There’s other pairings I love (Booth/Brennan from Bones, Kanthony from Bridgerton, all the Sense8 relationships, some Zutara) but I think these are the main ones for me.
Send me a letter from this list

Tag game: eight shows to get to know me
I was tagged by @scienceoftheidiot and @goneadrift (thank you!! 🥺💕), and now the deal is that I get to rant about a couple of shows I like, so let's get straight to it!
1. House M.D.
- Knowing how many seasons are there in this show, I think it says something that I purposefully rewatched the full thing several times, and I probably will do it again at some point. Many characters from this series have a special place in my heart, and oh boy do I love myself a good medical drama sometimes. + the different medical cases are just very interesting for me to observe, even though I am by no means a medical specialist, let's say I know a thing or two from this field x)) (and some of you are probably aware of that, ahah)
Tumblr media
2. Lethal Weapon
- This one is another one of these shows that I occasionally come back to for a rewatch, the chemistry between two main characters is amazing, and the main plotline is pretty good imo, + it's a classic detective-involving series, where, granted, not every case is super intriguing or complicated, but I think the characters and their development and relationships with each other - all this usually goes first when determining a series that I'll most probably like, and it delivers that part for sure! (Yes I used this specific gif because now I can't stop picturing this, but with Royais + Hughes, lolol, sorry I have a brainrot)
Tumblr media
Also, look at this silly little totally not dysfunctional guy, come on, you can't help but love him:
Tumblr media
3. Lucifer
- Ohohoho this one was one of the first quite long-term obsessions for me - I was watching it with my good friend as it was coming out (pretty sure starting from like, season 2 we began to watch it as it was airing, or at least I was and then I dragged this friend along for the ride, ahah), and I remember having so much fun with it - making theories, trying to predict the direction for the next season, simping over the main cast, being (more often unironically than not) frustrated with love triangles, all the good stuff. I also really like the soundtrack used in the series, and, of course, I have to mention the fact that its main leads are a blonde badass detective who is actually a sweetheart and her goofy dark-haired bastard-certified material partner who can actually be very scary and powerful to anyone but her :333
Tumblr media
Go figure if I have a type or not, right (omg I just realized she also has a cute pet name and it's "detective")
Tumblr media
4. Fleabag
- This one was such a pleasant surprise for me, the further I was watching the more invested into it I was getting, and in the end it turned out to be such an emotional rollercoaster, while also being able to handle a balance between more serious scenes and great humor really well. The romance plotline turned out to be very interesting too - overall, it's a great pretty short series that I can definitely recommend for people to check out at some point (I was indeed very happy when I found out @goneadrift was watching it too, hehe)
Tumblr media
5. Sherlock (the BBC one)
- Honestly, this one is associated with many good memories for me - we used to watch it for a couple of years in a row with my parents during New Year, and it was like, one of the highlights of our celebration. Life just seemed so much easier these days, and I always remember them with warmth and joy. But! Apart from the sappy stuff - I genuinely think it's a nice modern AU Sherlock adaptation, hehe, as always, I pay a lot of attention to the chemistry between the characters, especially the main cast, and I think pretty much everyone nailed it - I find the characters from this series to be very enjoyable to watch. The other point that I want to mention here is the directing - I remember myself being very impressed by some of the shots and directing/editing choices they made there, and, of course, the main soundtrack is now pretty much engraved into my memory, hehe
(So yeah, aside from the last season, which I don't think is that bad, but definitely not as good as the earlier ones imo, it's a great show!)
Tumblr media
6. Elementary
- Surprise surprise, another Sherlock adaptation involving detective storyline(s), who would've thought, right? Honestly, I don't remember a lot about it, since I haven't rewatched it in a looong time, ahah, but, believe it or not, I still love it and have a couple of good memories associated with it. Used to watch it during weekends back in the day when I still watched TV, lolol, but yeah, I think it's a pretty unique Sherlock adaptation, and you can definitely have fun watching it!
Tumblr media
7. Forever
- That one is unexpected, definitely not my usual series of choice, but surprisingly I finished it pretty quickly and was glad I decided to give it a shot x)
(For the record - it's a series about a guy who works in the morgue while trying to find how to get rid of his immortality curse 👀👌).
Tumblr media
8. Fullmetal Alchemist
- Gonna follow the lead of @scienceoftheidiot and add this one on the list too, because my god this series has me in a chokehold. Specifically Royai stuff of course, but I think in general this is the kind of anime (both FMA and FMAB btw) people who are generally not that much into anime can enjoy (I am saying as I am, apparently, one of these people, ahah). It's just a great story with a great cast and lovely imagery and soundtrack, I mean, what else can you possibly need? (Meanwhile here I am, going absolutely insane every time I think about my two beloved war criminals kissing)
O, here they are, by the way!
Tumblr media
Aand that's all for today, no-pressure tags for @lassusog @chrysopoeias @nightofnyx8 @fullmetalscullyy @jedidragonwarriorqueen and anyone who wants to participate (also because it doesn't allow me to tag more people for some reason??), in case you feel like it! :3

Tagged by @iamstartraveller776 and @lazymeriadoc (thank you! 💕) to share 8 TV shows that hold a special place in my heart:
1. Sherlock (BBC) (2010-2017)
My first true TV and fandom love. Once wrote an essay on Sherlock as a visual text and ‘writing London’ for the viewer through its cinematography. (Because I knew it so well and my lecturer let me.)
2. The Hour (BBC) (2011-2012)
Ben Whishaw as a mid-century sardonic journalist at the dawn of British news broadcasting. Fifties aesthetic with charismatic characters and a dark espionage-esque streak. (Cancelled far before its time, but a masterpiece.)
3. Mad Men (2007-2015)
Character studies! All the character studies. Women front and centre. Mid-century social progress issues. Peggy Olson.
4. Life on Mars (UK) (2006-2007)
Psychological time-travelling police procedural in seventies Britain, ft. DI Sam Tyler and DCI Gene Hunt. British social issues and history with a flavour of the fourth wall and characters so real I feel like I know them. (Don’t believe the marketing, they’re all softies.)
5. Ashes to Ashes (2008-2010)
Sequel to Life on Mars. Like LoM, except it’s DI Alex Drake, the British pub has been usurped by a trattoria, there’s a statement checkerboard ceiling, and the music is addictively eighties. Emotionally charged: psychological, cosmological, philosophical. And all of the usual solving crimes and driving very fast and stuff.
6. The Lord of the Rings: the Rings of Power (2022-present)
In hand with my real-life RPG buddies and Zelda, responsible for the long overdue reminder that I love fantasy and swords and heroes and horsemanship. Etc etc etc. And obviously a good, complex character arc with a delicious moral conundrum. With a whole mythology I can delve head first into. The gift that keeps on giving.
7. Death in Paradise (2011-present)
My comfort watch. Patterned detective show under sunshine and reggae. Inexplicably incredibly popular in Germany and worldwide.
8. Thunderbirds (1965-1966, repeated in 90s)
I grew up on this. International Rescue. Honour, humanitarianism, family. Mid-century. Slow television, superfast aircraft. Tracy Island featured as a make on Blue Peter. (I still have the toys.)
No new tags from me, but anyone who fancies it please do!

Lil Guys - The Masterpost
As none of you may know, my mother and I have a category we have used for a long time to distinguish our favorite male actors/fictional characters. This is what we like to call, a Lil Guy.
Lil Guy - Definition
A male person or fictional character that is extremely capable/talented at chosen occupation, often extremely intelligent, witty (though it may be unintentional), with either an oblivious or childlike nature. They can be hardened by war, thousands of years old, or extremely rough edged, but through it all retain a child like obliviousness or childlike wonder that rounds them out. Most of the time they are socially awkward and are either painfully aware of it or painfully unaware of it. Their are rare cases in which Lil’ Guys are charismatic, but it has to be balanced out with some type of whimsy or quirk.

One of your favorite times John has saved Sherlock and/or vice versa?
Ooh! Great question! I'm not sure it quite counts as saving him, but it was an attempt to save him... when they're at the pool, in The Great Game, John attempts to save Sherlock by grabbing Moriarty and telling Sherlock to run. Obviously, Sherlock doesn't and wouldn't, but John wanted Sherlock safe and in that moment he was willing to risk his own life for it.
And of course, I have a special place in my heart for John shooting the cabbie in A Study in Pink, thus shocking Sherlock out of taking the pill (you dolt Sherlock!).
My favourite time Sherlock has saved John is DEFINITELY the bonfire in The Empty Hearse. The desperation in his voice and the way he drives, the way he yells for John and how he literally almost throws himself onto the fire in order to pull stuff out the way and get John out. It's clear in that moment just how much he loves John.
