THE BESTIES EVER!!!! i did not expect to love Dot and Buddy as much as i do but augh. i had to try my hand at drawing them after they stewed in my brain for a bit.

had to mentally fight myself about whether to include the weezer text or not. demons took over, decided to do it my buddy design will probably look absolutely nothing like how he'll be depicted in the upcoming graphic novel but oh well, I based the design off of my friend and also me confusing wiki descriptions and now I can't see him looking like anything else

Haven't seen to much from the novel but I got inspired to redesign my Dot based on her design in it. And I had to draw Jacob because I like him.

He doesn't actually speak. He talks through text boxes that usually appear around him. Normal people can't see these, but cartoons can.

Random question but do you have any headcannons for buddy or dot from dreams come to life?

i haven't read the book in about a year so i dont have many, but i'd like to think that if there was a good ending, Buddy, Dot, Richie (?), and Jacob would all be friends and Buddy would get a dog and name it Boris and they would be the 1940s Scooby Doo solving mysteries about anything but the Ink Machine and they would all live a long happy life :)

i haven't been scared of bugs since i played Hollow Knight, i actually think most of them are very cute (not wasps tho, keep them the heck away from me)

i started to like kefir, a drink i hated all my life, because i really wanted to try tan from Pathologic 2 and that's the closest i could get my hands on in Hungary

the Bendy franchise reminded me of my love for animation, and knocked me out of a several-month-long art block... tho the side effect is, i only want to animate Bendy stuff now (as a totally unrelated question, where can i sign up for Sammy Lawrence's cult Church of Bendy? XDDD)

The Ink Demonth 2024 - Day 23. Stairs

In case anyone didn't get it - if you do all the escape room elements in the second chapter and use the code to avoid being hit in the head with the dustpan, you will find that nothing has changed and the stairs are still flooded. There were even a few strips about it in SATIM.

I didn't feel like it today, I didn't even have a creative idea for it, apart from drawing de-inked stairs and writing down "WHAT THE HELL". The punchline for the strip was invented by my proofreader Titatotrix, for which I am very grateful to her. Thank you, friend!
