100 Witchcraft Tips in 100 Days!
Day 2 - Integrating Herbs into Your Daily Routine
1. Herbal Teas with Purpose
Herbal Tea is a simple, easily accessible, and discreet method to bring magic to your daily routine. It doesn't matter if you use premade blends or if you're doing it fresh with loose tea as it works all the same. When choosing your herbs or premade blend you should pick something that aligns with your intention. For example, chamomile, lavender, and lemon balm can help calm your mind and body and promotes peace and tranquility. Peppermint and ginger are great for bursts of energy alongside promoting strength and focus. When you're sipping on the tea do so mindfully with intent.
2. Herbal Spell Sachets and Jars
Another simple and easy way to bring some magic to your daily routine is through the use of spell jars and sachets. Sachets can also be easily made at home with just a little fabric and a needle and thread. If you want to make a basic sachet at home simply start by cutting out a 6.5in x 12 inch piece of fabric. Afterwards simply hem the shorter sides, fold the fabric in half, and sew the longer sides together. Finally to finish the sachet, turn the piece inside out and use a chopstick or other various item to flatten the corners. Once your sachet is completed you can fill it with a variety of herbs for different intentions and tie it up with a ribbon or cord. These sachets can be used in the bath for ritual baths. Jars can be filled with various herbs crystals, sigils, and other various items then sealed with wax.
3. Burning Herbs and Incense
Smoke cleansing through incense or loose incense made from herbs is a common method for cleansing and purification. There are various herbs for cleansing including rosemary, cedar, and sage. Keep in mind the use of smudging White Sage is a closed practice and as such should be avoided unless you are specifically part of that practice. To cleanse using loose incense light the herbs and allow the smoke to carry away any negative energy.
4. Cooking with Herbs for Magic
Using various herbs during cooking is one of the easiest, simplest, most discreet methods of herbal witchcraft that I know. It's also one of the most versatile methods I know to cast various spells and is one of my favorite methods to use every day. You want to prep by picking out a dish full of herbs and ingredients to match your intent. As you prepare it focus on the intentions and stir with purpose to channel energy into the dish.
5. Offerings on Your Altar
Herbs can also be used as offerings on your altar. This works in both large open altars to the discreet mint tin altars and doesn't require too much effort to do. This can be done to honor spirits, deities, or just to simply connect with the energy of the plant itself. For protection rosemary is a great choice. For prosperity you can offer basil or cinnamon to attract abundance and growth. You can replace the herbs as needed and thank them for their energy before offering them back to the earth afterwards.

Honey
happiness, warmth, healing, love, encouragement, prosperity, abundance, fertility, community, diligence, work ethic
Honey is an ingredient I use often. And Honestly, there is too much lore across too many cultures to just list but the history is RICH with information. Obviously a major use it to "sweeten" a working but there are so many other areas to use it in, as listed above. The golden color also plays a huge role in why I use it for so many things and offer it to so many of the deities in my practice. So here is some other things related to it…
Medicinal Uses:
Help with Indigestion – Taking a tablespoon or two will settle your stomach and it won't ferment and cause more trouble.
Relieve Nausea – You can use honey with ginger ale to help relieve nausea
Wound Care – Use as a topical wound care, it can help quicken healing time for injuries such as rashes, burns, and skin abrasions.
Cure Acne – It's a natural face cleaner and is known to help cure acne, and works on all skin types even sensitive skin. Use about half a teaspoon and warm it in your hands then spread on your face like soap, rubbing in circular motions. Let sit for about 10 minutes then rinse with warm water and dry.
Relieve Sore Throat – There is a reason your mom would make you warm tea with honey when you had a sore throat, it can help it feel better.
Sugar Substitute – Use raw honey as a substitute for white sugar
Energy Boost – Take a tablespoon of honey before as a pre-workout.
Moisturizer – Use a spoonful of honey and mix with olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice to make an ultra moisturizing lotion.
Cure Dry Elbows – Rub some honey on your dry elbows and it will help soften your skin.
Lip Balm – Use honey to a make a natural lip balm. You will need honey, beeswax, and a few other oils.
Hair Mask – This will help lock in moisture and shine in your hair use one teaspoon of honey to 5 cups of warm water the rinse and style like normal.
Cure a Hangover – Honey will help speed up your metabolism and help your body process the alcohol faster.
Cough Syrup – Use honey to make a cough syrup
Reduce Seasonally Allergies – Use local raw honey and take a tablespoon or so a day. The local pollen in the honey helps build your body's immunity to the pollen which will lessen your allergies during pollen season.
Moisturize Your Skin – Add a tablespoon of honey to your hot bath to help moisturize your skin while you bathe!
Help Get to Sleep – Use a tablespoon of honey at night to help get to bed! Honey has been known to help absorb the compound tryptophan, which makes us sleepy!

It’s been discontinued for years 😭 and I don’t know if there’s anything like it out on the market. If anybody has a suggestion, please let me know!!! 🥲 thank uuu

do you have any advice on how to level up like your physical appearance and mentality? like i struggle with discipline and codependency issues and I hate it but when i try and change i fall back into my bullshit real quick
Becoming #ThatGirl
The above quote is from Saweetie. First and foremost, your energy will speak before your looks do.
1. Inner Work
Be sure to work on mindfulness from the inside. I always recommend that my followers look into how to be more mindful and spiritual.
-> Do a 15 or 30 minute yoga session. Look forward to learning poses everyday.
-> Journaling — a diary, gratitude journal, prayer journal, etc will help you think more about your goals, release balled up emotions, and set your intentions. Always refer to your journal first before a person. It will help you analyze your thought process.
- Digital: Day One, Google Docs
- Buy a physical notebook.
- Best pens: Pilot 0.38 and 0.7
- Best highlighters: Zebra Mildliners
-> Check in with your emotions daily.
- Mood trackers: Daylio, eMoods
-> Be grateful. List 5 things you are grateful for
-> Eat mindfully — cleaner foods and not just junk. Drink your body weight in water.
- Cleaner eating: no soda (if you must drink something drink ginger ale.), no dairy (cheese occasionally. I never drink real milk...), drink more teas and more smoothies. Eat oatmeal. Rice, fish, salad.
- Buy a reusable water bottle, or a mason jar with a lid from Amazon and refill it. This way you will drink your water.
- Take your multivitamins.
-> Have a list of affirmations you say daily: “I am beautiful, I am blessed, I am blossoming.”
-> Meditation to relieve your anxieties. It will clear your mind completely and leave you refreshed. Download Headspace app!!
-> Exercise and watch your mental health improve.
-> Watch less mindless TV. Read books or listen on Audible.
-> Have a steady routine. This is how you create discipline. Always have a morning routine and night routine. You must have good hygiene. Have a structured schedule so that you’re always in order.
-> Sleeping at least 8 hours, wake up early and start your day. If you have a decent bedtime routine that relaxes you you will be able to do this. Meditate, listen to chill or binaural beats, and avoid naps.
2. Outer Appearance
After you have envisioned and began to achieve what you want your inner self to look like, it is time to think about your outer self.
-> What does #she look like?
- For example: A high value girl will be put together — impeccable fashion sense, hygienic, and glowing radiantly.
- What is the style that you have always dreamed of having? What is your signature fashion sense? What is your It Girl Aesthetic? Is it traditional feminine, old Hollywood, 00s glam, tomboy girly? A mix of everything???
- Invest in high quality pajamas. I notice that when I have my silk robe on I transform into a baddie and I feel elegant at the same time.
- Wear clothes that fit to your body.
- Have signature jewelry, a signature bag, and a signature perfume scent. Make it fun.
-> What are the things #she does to upkeep her look?
- Teeth Whitening: Crest 3D whitestrips, toothpaste, and mouthwash. Flossing always!
- Nails: Always upkeep your toes and nails, at least have them filed/shaped and coated with oil. If you decide to paint them: Sally Hansen Gel Polish, preferably white on the toes because it is classic and goes with everything. white, Tiffany blue, baby pink, red are all flattering colors.
- Makeup: Light Foundation, blush, brows, lashes, lipgloss is actually enough, less can always be more. If you decide to wear heavy makeup be sure to set it with setting spray, Urban Decay or NYX.
- Skin: Have a skincare routine. Face wash -> toner -> serum -> moisturizer -> SPF* morning. Exfoliate twice a week. Aztec clay mask twice a week. Find products that work for your skin.
- Tree hut exfoliating scrub before shower. Lip scrub before lipstick. Burt’s Bees chapstick is the best and Aquaphor is super moisturizing for skin as well. Dr. Teals bath salts for a relaxing bath.
- Moisturize your body with cocoa or shea butter then oil after showers.
- Hair: Castor oil for eyelashes, eyebrows, hair. It’s a god send
3. Mindset & Overall Improvement
-> Grow your confidence. Know that you are a one of a kind individual and nobody can be like you. Affirm yourself... start saying things like, “I’m a living angel.” / “There’s only one me and I’m the baddest.” / “I’m a dream girl.”
It’s not overzealous, it’s confident. Trick your mind into thinking this and it will be internalized the same way you internalize negativity.
-> Maintain strict boundaries with yourself and others. Don’t tolerate less than what you deserve, and always do your best.
-> Develop your individuality. If you are putting someone on a pedestal, you will never glow up. Be independent and stop needing others approval for things, and learn how to rely on yourself first. Do more things on your own and fall in love with the new you. Buy yourself flowers, pamper yourself always.
-> Deep cleanse your life. Delete old contacts. Clean your space always and keep it appealing. Donate clothes you’re not going to wear. Delete old photos that do not make you happy. Focus more on yourself, and disconnect from social media. Always block schedule your apps. 20 mins per day on the ones that drain you the most.
-> To create more discipline, create goals worth fighting for. Create goals you look forward to at the end of the day. Look forward to the new life you’re going to have. Be gentle with yourself while also having the maturity to check yourself when you’re lacking. Don’t just look at the end result, look at where you are now. Appreciate the now, anticipate the future. Don’t just wait to be motivated, just start.
-> Always remind yourself that being human takes failures...ups and downs, but you will always come out on the winning side because you will be working towards flourishing and blossoming into a high value, high maintenance baddie.
You got this! ❤️

10 Magic Herbs You Can Find at the Grocery Store
When you’re first getting started with witchcraft or another magical practice, it can be easy to get caught up in all of the material stuff involved. Witchy hashtags on social media are filled with pictures of huge sparkly crystals, gorgeous handmade ritual tools, and beautifully elaborate altars. Many spells in books or online call for a long list of herbs, some of which are expensive or hard to come by. For baby witches, it’s easy to feel like you can never be a “real” witch unless you have money for these expensive tools and toys.
This is not true. As we’ve talked about in previous chapters of this series, you don’t need any tools or material components to cast a spell — however, harnessing the energy of plants, crystals, and imagery can be a helpful way to add energy to your work. This doesn’t mean you need to spend a lot of money. In fact, many of the most powerful and useful magical tools can be found on the spice aisle in your local supermarket, or even at the dollar store.
For example:
Salt. Salt is a witch’s best friend. It can be used for cleansing, banishing, protection, grounding, or to neutralize energy. Surrounding something with a circle of salt will protect it [Note: do NOT make salt circles outside, as salt will kill plant life!], and washing something with salt water will cleanse its energy. I often include salt in any spell that I feel needs an extra layer of protection.
Sugar. Just as salt banishes unwanted energy, sugar attracts the things you want into your life. Sugar can be used for any and all attraction spells, whether you’re looking to attract love, money, success, or something else. It can also be used to “sweeten” a situation, or make it more favorable.
Cinnamon. There’s pretty much no positive spell that doesn’t benefit from cinnamon. Cinnamon has associations with healing, love, success, and material wealth, but is also strongly associated with protection. I love burning cinnamon as incense — it fills the whole room with warm, cozy energy.
Cayenne. Cayenne is often used for banishing or binding spells, but a lesser known use is for getting things moving. Cayenne is a very fiery plant, so any spell dealing with passion, motivation, or drive can benefit from its inclusion. Cayenne can be used to “light a fire” under someone to motivate them to action. However, cayenne is a more harsh energy, so I often pair it with lavender or another soothing herb.
Coffee. I most often use coffee for grounding or to anchor things to the physical world. For example, I might include it in a prosperity spell to make sure the results manifest in my everyday life. Coffee is also energizing and brings mental clarity, and can enhance psychic abilities. Brewed coffee is also used in some traditions as an offering for spirits.
Bay leaves (Bay Laurel). Bay leaves are one of the most popular spell components because of their association with granting wishes. You’ve probably heard of the practice of writing a wish on a bay leaf and burning it to manifest your desire. I often include bay leaves in manifestation magic for this reason. Bay leaves can also be used for purification, cleansing, and exorcism.
Ginger. Ginger adds power to any spell it is included in. Ginger tea or gingery food can also give you a personal energy boost. I add ginger to any spell that needs some extra “oomph.” It is also associated with success.
Basil. Basil is very commonly used in money spells. Carrying a basil leaf on your person is believed to attract wealth. It also has associations with protection.
Peppermint. Peppermint is another herb that can add power to virtually any spell. It can bring healing and purification, can remove obstacles and free up stuck energy, and can enhance psychic abilities. Peppermint is a common ingredient in dream pillows. You can find peppermint tea at virtually any grocery store, and many stores also carry the essential oil.
Lavender. Lavender is my favorite herb for bringing peace to a situation. It’s very good for healing magic and for soothing difficult emotions. Lavender is also associated with love, and I especially like to use it in spells for self love. Most stores carry lavender essential oil, and you can also find herbal teas that include it as an ingredient.
With the above herbs at your side, you’ll have everything you need to cast virtually any type of spell. Honestly, even if you just have salt, sugar, and maybe some white candles, you can create powerful spells for dozens of different intentions, from protection to self love to getting a job. Remember, what matters isn’t so much what you have — it’s your intention.
These are also edible, so they can be incorporated into magical recipes for different intentions. In fact, most of the ingredients you cook with every day have magical associations and can do double duty as powerful additions to your spells. For more information about the magical uses of common household herbs and spices, I highly recommend the book A Green Witch’s Cupboard by Deborah J. Martin, which is where most of the info for this post came from.
Other useful magical items that you can pick up at the grocery store include:
Olive oil. Olive oil can be used as an all-purpose anointing oil for candles, ritual tools, or your body. It can also be used to dilute essential oil, or as a base for custom magical oils.
Tealight candles. These small candles are perfect for candle spells. White tealights can be used for any intention.
House plants. Many common houseplants have magical associations. For example, aloe brings protection and healing. You can also grow some witchy herbs, like peppermint or rosemary, indoors.
Epsom salt. Epsom salt is a great base for bath spells. You can add essential oils and herbs to make custom bath salts — just be sure to research oils and herbs ahead of time, as some can cause skin irritation. [Note: Epsom salt is not actually salt, and cannot be substituted for salt in spells.]
Notebooks. Writing things down is an important part of witchcraft. Keeping a record of your spells, divination, and magical experiences makes it easier to keep track of everything.
Again, I want to stress that you don’t need a specific set of tools to be a witch. In fact, you can do highly effective magic without ever working with herbs at all. But if you want to gather some items to add power to your spells or help you feel more witchy (after all, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to set the mood!), you can get everything you need for a few bucks at the local supermarket or dollar store. Remember, our ancestors worked magic with what they had — not with expensive crystal collections or exotic herbs.

Headcanon - When he realises that you aren’t taking care of yourself
Original title: 当他发现你不好好照顾自己
Original writer: 池离子 (chi li zi)
[ VICTOR ]
Working overtime at night, you finally complete your work and return home fatigued. You haven't had dinner, and only drank a cup of coffee and took a bite out of a sandwich in the afternoon.
You slump on the sofa, so tired that you don’t feel like moving an inch. The shops have closed. Because you’ve never had the time to eat at home, there’s no food available. Your tummy grumbles, but you don’t have the energy to search for food.
"Ding dong."
"Ding dong ding dong."
Who is it...
You drag your tired body to open the door, and what enters your line of sight is Victor’s expressionless face.
"Ah... Victor. It’s already so late... what’s up?”
"You’ve only returned home at this time?”
He seems a little angry.
"I was working overtime... How did you know? Were you squatting downstairs or something?”
Before you even finish speaking, your stomach grumbles inappropriately.
This is so awkward.
"You haven't eaten?"
You nod.
Victor squeezes into your house, walks straight into your house, and takes off his coat before draping it on the sofa.
"What are you doing?"
"Cooking dinner for a dummy."
"Ah, wait...”
You try to stop Victor from opening the refrigerator, but it's too late.
Victor opens your refrigerator, which isn’t even powered. Inside, there are only two bottles of glucose supplements.
You watch as his face darkens.
“You don’t have food at home?”
"Nope...”
"Snacks? Biscuits?"
"...nope...”
“How do you normally settle your meals?”
“I... would buy bread from the store. But I didn’t have time this morning so I skipped it... it’s too late now and the stores are closed. And I didn’t have time to cook.... and the food I make isn’t even nice!”
Victor takes two steps towards you, clasping your waist with both hands, and frowns.
"You’ve become thinner.”
You respond happily. "That's great!”
Victor releases his grip on you, puts on his suit jacket, then walks over and takes your hand.
“What?”
"Forget about the rent for this apartment. Come back with me. I’ll cook three meals a day for you. And I’ll pick you up at night.”
"A certain dummy can't take care of herself, so I’ll take care of her."
"Resign from your company. Come to work at LFG. The salary is high, and you’ll get to send your boyfriend to work.”
-
[ GAVIN ]
You’re truly a careless person.
You’d fall down on the street, crash into trees while walking, knock your head against low walls, hit your elbow when you lift your hand, and bump your toes against furniture when doing household chores.
As such, your body always has bruises. Sometimes, they appear without you even noticing.
Today, you accidentally cut your fingers while slicing vegetables. While cooking, you were also scalded by the hot oil, resulting in blisters.
Ah, what a dismal life.
Doing some mental calculations, you realise that today’s the last day of Gavin’s mission, and the day he returns home.
Rinsing the blisters on your arm with cold water, you continue dealing with the dishes in the pot.
You’re going to prepare a table of food for Gavin! That boy must be incredibly hungry after working outside for so long.
Click.
You hear the sound of the door opening, followed by a voice in the hallway.
"MC--”
“Hey!” You respond. “You’re back! You came back at the right time - dinner’s ready!”
Gavin changes into a pair of slippers, removes his outer uniform, and heads to the bathroom to wash his hands. You’re currently serving the final dish of stir-fried cabbage, and the table is all ready.
Gavin sits across from you, meticulously eyeing the dishes before him. Without any hesitation, he delivers praise. “Smells good. You’ve worked hard.”
“Hehe, go ahead and eat. I’m really confident in my cooking skills!” While speaking, you hand Gavin a pair of chopsticks.
Taking the chopsticks from you, he catches a glimpse of the blisters on your arm, and the band-aid wrapped around your finger.
“What happened?” He asks frantically, setting down the chopsticks and taking your hand in his.
“This one was due to hot oil... this one was when I was cutting vegetables. I’m okay now!”
You slowly extricate your hand from his. Gavin looks really worried. He stands up and walks to you, carefully looking you up from top to bottom. As expected, he discovers two new bruises on your calf.
“And this?”
“The one on the left was caused by the corner of the bed... the one on the right was because I bumped against the corner of the table...”
Gavin’s eyes are filled with worry, and he hugs you.
"Why are you so careless... why didn’t you tell me over the phone?"
You pat him on the back.
“You already have many things to worry about! I can’t make you worry about me too... Besides, you don’t always tell me when you get hurt either...”
You feel the arms around you tighten.
“I’ll tell you next time... so you have to tell me too. I’ll try to accept fewer missions, and spend more time at home with you. Okay?”
“Good, good! Commander Gavin must make sure that I don’t get hurt again!”
"Mm.”
-
[ LUCIEN ]
It's late at night. Walking out of the elevator, you stand at your door, looking for the keys to open the door to your house.
"Click."
The door opens, but it isn’t yours, but your neighbour’s.
"Little Butterfly.”
It’s Lucien. He opens the door, half of his body out as he peers at you.
"Lucien! Good evening!"
"Why did the Little Butterfly return home so late?"
"Ah, I worked overtime..."
Lucien shuts the door and walks out, standing in front of you. He has changed out of his usual white coat and white shirt, and is currently wearing loose home clothes. Feeling his stare on you, you rub your head in embarrassment.
“W-what’s wrong? Is there something on my face?”
“Have you not been resting well? You’ve got heavy dark circles...”
“Ah, this...” you look at him in embarrassment. “It looks really bad, doesn’t it... I’ve had too much work on my hands these days, so I’ve been having trouble sleeping at night since my mind’s filled with work even though I’m obviously tired...”
Lucien takes your hand.
"Come."
"Huh? Where are we going?”
"To my house.”
You’re pulled into his house, and a sweet-smelling aroma wafts over to you, making you feel drowsy.
"There’s a spare pink toothbrush and toothpaste on the counter. There’s a set of pyjamas I’ve been wanting to give you. I’ll bring it over for you. Sleep at my house tonight, okay? This aromatherapy assists with sleep. I promise that you’ll have a very good sleep."
You’ve stayed over at Lucien's house before. The previous time, it was because it was too late and you didn't bring your house key, so you had no choice but to knock on Lucien's door for help.
You brush your teeth and put on the one-size pyjamas he bought you. The fragrance and warm light in the room make you slump on the bed very quickly.
Lucien covers you with a thin quilt. The heater is turned on, making the place especially warm and cosy.
You feel him sitting at the side of the bed, a warm hand on your back, patting your back and coaxing you to sleep.
"Little Butterfly... don’t go back... live here with me, and you can sleep well every night..."
"Mm... mm..."
Admist his gentle voice and gentle tapping, you fall asleep.
-
[ KIRO ]
You’re on your period, but the company’s affairs are getting busier and busier. Every day, Kiki can see your pale face as you shift between various departments.
By the time you get home, the heater has stopper operating.
You’ve always felt cold easily, no matter what time of the year it is, and whether you wear shoes and socks.
At the end of a busy day, you collapse on the sofa while covering your stomach, but it just hurts more and more. Because your hands are cold, it's perhaps more accurate to say that your stomach’s covering you.
"Click--"
You heard the sound of the door opening.
"Miss Chips!!"
Kiro's energetic voice drifts over.
This is your home, but you gave Kiro a key, and he occasionally stays over at your home without notice. He just finished filming a drama today. After rushing through a dinner with the producer, he bought a lot of snacks and visited your place.
"Ro Ro... ooh..."
You lie on the sofa and stretch out your hand to him. He tosses down the bag of snacks, grinning while giving you a hug.
You tousle his short blond hair as he nuzzles against your chest. When he reaches out to grab your hand, he ends up grabbing a cold object.
Lifting his head, he sees that it’s ndeed your hand.
"Miss Chips, why are your hands so cold..."
He releases his hold on you, then covers your hands with his. Unfortunately, they aren’t sufficient to warm you up.
"Want to take a bath? Maybe your hands will feel a little warmer."
You frown.
"I don't want to! I'm so tired... also, my stomach hurts so much. I... can’t take a bath right now.And my feet are so cold..."
Kiro tilts his head to look at your feet. Soon after, a pair of thin socks are pulled onto your feet.
"Miss Chips... why don't you lie down on the bed? You’ll feel warmer under the covers..."
"I’m tired-”
Even before you finish speaking, Kiro’s arms reach behind your back and knees. He lifts you up steadily, and easily carries you to the bed.
After he covers you with a quilt, you watch as he hurries out. After a short while, he returns with a cup of hot ginger tea and two warm water bottles.
Placing the cup into your hands, he heads to the end of the bed, placing a warm water bottle underneath your feet. Once you’ve finished drinking the ginger tea, he hands you the other water bottle.
"Miss Chips... if you don't feel well, let someone else handle the work. Don’t tire yourself.... I’ll come over more often next time, to make sure that you’re taking good care of yourself.”
Soft blonde hair once against nestles against your chest.

[ SHAW ]
You’re almost late, and you’re rushing to the company. The scorching sun beats down on your pale face.
All of a sudden, darkness overcomes your vision.
When you regain consciousness, you find yourself lying on a hospital bed. A noise is at your ear, but you’re still in a daze and unable to comprehend what is being said.
Turning your head towards the sound, strands of lavender hair occupy your vision. Your eyes widen. It’s Shaw.
“Hello, hello? Are you deaf? Can you hear me?”
Mustering the final bit of energy you have, you return his words.
“Lower your volume. I’m not deaf.”
Shaw purses his lips.
“You’re still in the mood for jokes. You scared me to death. If I didn’t see you collapsed on the street while skateboarding to class, you might still be lying there right now.”
"Thanks...”
Shaw leans in closer, staring at your intently.
“Mary Sue, the doctor said that you have low blood sugar. Didn’t you have breakfast?”
“I didn't have the time... I worked overtime till late yesterday, and didn’t get enough sleep. I was almost late this morning, so how could I have time for breakfast...”
Shaw ponders for a while.
“That’s not right. If you’re fainting like this, it’s not because you didn’t have breakfast. You didn’t eat last night, did you?”
You nod.
“It was so late... I was so tired, so I skipped dinner...”
"Tch.”
-
Once you’re discharged from the hospital, Shaw moves into your place.
In the mornings, he’d shake you till you get up, and you’d enjoy the breakfast he prepared. At noon, you’d receive the snacks he buys for you, garnering envious glances from female colleagues. When you work overtime at night, he’d appear in your office with his skateboard and a bento box. After returning home from a long day of hard work, he’d retrieve a small cake from the refrigerator like magic.
“Shaw, stop feeding me. I’ve gained five pounds.”
He spins you around twice, pinches your tummy, then chuckles.
“That’s just right.”

Top 12 Herbs for Beginner Witchcraft
Beginner Witchcraft and Using Common Herbs from Your Kitchen.
If there’s one thing almost every household has, it’s herbs and spices in the kitchen.(if you don’t then you need to work on your cooking skills) Whether you grow your own in a windowsill garden, buy them fresh from the farmer’s market or buy the bottled version from the grocery store, herbs are almost always in the kitchen.
But herbs and spices aren’t just used in the kitchen anymore. If you make your own body care items you’ve probably played around with cinnamon or chamomile, if you make tea or smoothies, you probably have some ginger, mint, honey or lavender.
Well now you can also add herbs to your witchcraft! Herbs are an easy tool that can be used as smoke cleansing, incense, candles, sachets and more. Today we’re going to cover the Top 12 herbs you can use in your witchcraft that you already have in your kitchen!
What herbs do you use for cooking and witchcraft?
What are some of the more common herbs you have in your kitchen right now? Will you find things like salt and pepper? Or maybe you have some cinnamon and nutmeg from fall baking left over. Do you drink tea in the winter? That hibiscus tea can be used too.
The list we’re going to touch on is some of the more common herbs in most homes, but there are tons more herbs used for witchcraft. I’ve even bought herbs I don’t normally use from the grocery store for a last minute spell.
Top 12 Kitchen Herbs you can use for Witchcraft
Salt
I’m going to start with one of the most common ingredients in kitchens as well as spells. Salt has a grounding and protection ability commonly used for protection circles and spells. If you’ve ever watched Supernatural or Hocus Pocus, a circle of salt to protect you is a common theme.
You can also use salt to purify your tools,, your crystals or yourself with a salt bath before casting spells. You can use sea salt, Himalayan salt or make your own black salt by mixing incense ashes into the salt you are using. (Black salt is especially good at protection and blocking negative energy from people or things.)
If you are using salt to mark your circle when casting, try to avoid using it too often when casting outside. Salting the earth can have negative effects if there’s too much or too often and we don’t want to hurt the earth more than it already has been. Feel free to substitute chalk dust or crushed eggshell powder for outdoor rituals or use bowls of salt to mark your perimeters.
Pepper
Going for the next most common spice in the kitchen, black, white or red peppers can be used in banishing spells, protection or warding charms or stopping curses and hexes.
Combining black and red pepper for protection and warding spells or charms work the best. You can use ground pepper or whole peppercorns. Feel free to experiment with other spices like chili powder or cayenne for hexes.
Cinnamon
I’ve been noticing cinnamon showing up when talking about herbs in witchcraft more often. Using the sticks or ground cinnamon, it’s spiciness can be used for passion and love spells or a speed/energy boost for a spell. You can also burn whole cinnamon sticks for smoke cleansing and incense.
Add to your food or drink to “spice up” your relationship and virility. Cinnamon can also be used for success spells, spirituality and healing charms. (You can also use paprika to substitute for many of the same spells that use cinnamon.)
Rosemary
I don’t tend to use rosemary in the kitchen much but I always keep some on hand for spell work. A general all purpose herb, Rosemary can be substituted for any herb you don’t have on hand, much like white candles and clear quartz can be used as substitutes.
Use Rosemary in smoke bundles when cleansing a space. Make hair rinses and herbal baths for beauty and energy spells. Add to your food or drink for mental stimulation and clarity. My favorite aromatherapy combo is rosemary mint for relaxation and sinus issues.
Mint
Speaking of mint, dried mint leaves can be used from money spells to herbal teas. In the magic world, mint’s strengths lie in money, love and healing spells.
Rub mint over your wallet or piggy bank to draw money to your home. Stuff into a poppet to alleviate stomach issues. Give a sprig of fresh mint leaves to a loved one going on a trip for protection.
I did an entire post recently on all the things you can use mint for magically as well as correspondences for this herb. If you would like a more in depth post complete with recipes for ritual oils and charms, check it out here.
Basil
Basil was actually one of the first herbs I used for spell work. Much like mint, basil has strong money drawing abilities. It’s also good for purification and protection spells and love potions.
Basil can be used in potions, tea, floor washes, body care or charging candles for spells. Rubbing down a green candle with basil is one of the easiest money spells there is. Keep mint or basil leaves in your wallet or register if you own your own business to attract money or customers.
(That’s how we used it for my parent’s shop years ago. For a business we found it worked better if you kept fresh leaves and changed them out once they dried for more.)
Clove
Clove is another spice that specializes in protection spells. A candle covered in cloves or clove oil can be used to protect a home or person. Clove can also be used in prosperity spells and friendship charms. Add to sachets or burn for smoke cleansing properties.
Chamomile
Most people know chamomile’s flowery sweetness when trying to settle down for a deep sleep. While this tiny white flower is good at settling you down for bed, it also has a good bit of solar energy behind it as well.
Use chamomile for solar work, abundance spells and healing work.(Like drinking tea for bedtime.) I also like to use chamomile in home blessing spell balls for new couples with some honeysuckle to keep the sweetness in their life.
Bay
One of the quick spell witchcraft I see online quite often is using bay leaves to manifest wishes. Especially during a Festival or Full Moon, write a wish you would like to manifest in your life( less stress, more self confidence, money, prosperity, new job etc.) and burn the leaf. Bay can also be used for spell bags/sachets and herbal offerings for basically any of the Greek or Roman gods .You can also use bay leaves for Physic work or visions.
Garlic
While it may be a common spice used in cooking, garlic isn’t typically viewed as a common witchcraft tool. You can use whole heads, individual cloves or garlic powder in your spell work.
Primarily used for Protection spells and healing, garlic is a tool all witches should know. One of the most common protection charms is to bury a clove of garlic at each corner of your home to protect it. Garlic does have a bunch of medical benefits which is why it’s such a good spice for healing spells and charms as well.
Red Hibiscus
Hibiscus isn’t an herb per say but it holds it’s place in the witchcraft world well. Typically you can use tea bags using hibiscus tea in place of actual hibiscus flowers if you don’t have access to them.
Hibiscus’s vibrant red color is a giveaway to it’s magical abilities. Used primarily in love and lust spells, hibiscus’ sweet color and flavor helps to encourage love spells. Use for coloring in body care products such as lip-color or blush to give your inner goddess a boost.
Nettle
Unless your kitchen looks like mine, you most likely won’t have stinging nettle in your cabinets but I still wanted to include it in the list. I highly encourage you to consider adding this to your witchy cabinets as well as your at home apothecary.
Stinging nettle has a bunch of medical uses especially with allergy health and more. In the magical working world however nettle’s strengths deal with protection spells( figure a nettle stings when you touch it, a good cross over metaphysically to protect yourself) as well as healing spells when made into tea.
Nettle is also good for uncrossing spells and is a guardian herb for the veil between the worlds. You can order dried nettle online or if you live in a low traffic/ pollution area, can harvest your own( my suggestion is thick gloves and harvest while they are small in the spring.)
What herbs do you use in Witchcraft?
These are the top 12 herbs I think most witches should have in their supplies. There are others I suggest you to research such as lavender, allspice, thyme, nutmeg, sage and sugar when doing spell work.
( Roses and other flowers are good for spell work as well, do you want me to cover that on a later post? Let me know in the comments below.)
Pinterest is a good tool to get you started on info and grimoire pages especially for sage and lavender. Check out our Pinterest board on Magical Plants for links and photos you can save on all types of Magical hers and how to use them.
If you would like to buy any of these herbs or spices as well as finding any other herbs or tea blends, I suggest checking out Mountain Rose Herbs. They have a nice selection and are becoming a widely known name when it comes to herbs.
So there you have it! My thoughts in what the top 12 herbs any witch can find in their kitchen for spell work and more. Do you have any herbs you prefer to work with? Is there any herb you are curious to try in the future? Let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest for Daily posts.

What Fragrances the Tokyo Trio Would Wear
I am qualified for this because I have a problem called "I have bought/sampled so many freaking perfumes over the past five years that it borders on embarrassing".
I headcanon that both Yuuji and Megumi's signature scents were gifted to them by Nobara. She got a sample set of perfumes, and gave them ones that she thought they'd like. Yuuji wore Old Spice before this. Nobara changing that was performing a public service.
But Nobara also thought this through ahead of time, and their scents complement one anothers'. Because obviously.
This post also got embarrassingly long, so it's under the cut:
Nobara
Nobara's probably the fragrance lover of all the Tokyo students, but like any badass bitch, she started with Sweet Pea by Bath and Body Works. Listen. It's well known, and I've got way nicer fragrances, but this still is in my rotation. It's sweet and floral that borders on fruity, without feeling too heavy.
But what Nobara wears currently is Princess by Kilian. Surprisingly, she didn't buy this one for herself, Yuuji bought it for her because he thought the name was cute and fit her. Princess is a marshmallow scent that keeps from leaning sickly sweet by pairing it with green tea, ginger, and peach. Like Nobara, this perfume is sweet and strong on the surface, but once you get closer, you can tell there's a lot of depth and a sharper core.
Yuuji
Now that Nobara's gotten to him, he's wearing At the Barbers by Replica. It's a clean scent, and smells like a really nice, expensive aftershave. Ironic seeing as Yuuji has yet to grow facial hair. But with notes of basil, lavender, tonka bean, and rosemary, the scent is as lively as Yuuji himself. I think given Yuuji's been eating Sukuna's fingers, which reportedly taste like soap, him having a fragrance that smells like really nice soap feels fitting.
When I first wore this scent, my initial impression is that it wasn't anything special. But as it wore on, I found that the tonka added something really unique to the more typical herbaceous, masculine aftershave scent. It's a bit sweeter, and a bit softer in its heart notes than many other scents, and I think that keeps it from feeling overwhelming, or like one of those scents that is trying too hard to be masculine. It's gentle and inviting, much like Yuuji is!
Megumi
Where Yuuji was wearing Old Spice, Megumi just flat out wasn't wearing a fragrance. Which is fine, but he was surprised to find he really enjoyed having a scent. Especially because the scent Nobara chose for him, Replica's Matcha Meditation, is very grounding, and earthy.
Where Yuuji and Nobara's scents project off their skin, Megumi's plays a little closer to the heart. It's a green scent, and—as the name implies—green tea is at its core. It's deepened with moss, jasmine and cedar, but the mandarin, and bergamot cut through, and keep it from feeling heavy.
Megumi often acts as the no nonsense, grounding factor for the three, and it takes a bit for him to open up. Similarly, if you stick around, and you are patient, there's a hint of sweet white chocolate that carries through the fragrance.
