Did a faceup for my @batchixdolls Dark elf doll ^^ hes such a lil brat and rejected 3 separate store bought wigs before I had to buckle down and make him a custom yarn one.
I dont think these will be his final eyes but they work for now.
Is there any other character among my crew who is more fitting to celebrate the half year mark than the Guardian of Time & Space, Atropos? I doubt it.
The grumpy old man and his loyal pipe fox Udon trying to find a calm spot, he still regrets he put the Storyteller and Pierre in charge together, they ... cause him more than one headache.
Threadless's $13 t-shirt sale is still going on and I've uploaded some more designs! Put a bunch of robots and racks as well as Mini Machina t designs up! :D
Eremon, retrieved from the corrosive stream of time
I’ve had this beautiful man, created by @batchixdolls , since 2015. He sat on my desk at work while I was working on a documentary film back in the day. His spectacular undercut mohair wig (created by Batchix!) needs a bit more conditioning, but we’re getting there. His wonderful silvered PU leather trousers have succumbed to the power of time, so now he’s wearing his graceful long asymmetrical jumper with his ass hanging out, waiting for new togs (incoming).
I’ve been contemplating my tendency to support myself emotionally with retail therapy—buying dolls when under stress. This tends to have predictable financial outcomes, and questionable emotional ones.
This Sunday I am beginning to sense that I derive more psychic and spiritual nourishment from taking care of the stuff that’s actually already in my world.
He will be test-driving some Iplehouse clothing in their FID size soon.
After driving myself insane because the tracking said they were driving my doll in circles in another city, I have a double box opening of Lejeune and whitedoll's nameless 29cm twink (whitedoll please, consider the search engine optimization and tagging for like 5 seconds.)
His resin came out a smidge lighter than the LLT resin I was trying to match (the level of obviousness is rather "depends on the lighting" blasting him with my photography light makes it more obvious than my desk lamp does)
Smoothing is nice, the headcap is pretty close to flush. A wee bit of 3D print support evidence inside the head, but nothing too unpleasant. Certainly looks better than the "master" sculpt I haven't finished sanding. >_> I could have had Lejeune cast a while ago if I thought to just pay someone to stop me from having to sand it myself.
Onto the whitedoll
Unfortunately he is a bit too thin to wear action figure clothes.
He has an absolute dumptruck butt, though
He is much more of a solid stander than my Batchix Clever Little.
In August 2019, I held an auction for a doll face up of any kind in order to raise funds for the El Paso Community Foundation.
The winner was my dear friend @u4bik, who is not only the most patient soul on this Earth, but also owner of one of my most favorite bjd characters, Skuld. They asked me to paint Skuld's human faceplate (Lagoon by Batchix Dolls) to have skull themed face paint but with space in the negative spaces. Two of my favoritest things! Her flesh was dusted with white and pearlescent pastels while everything else is watercolor and mica powders. We contemplated adding iridescent starburst glitters but opted to go with painted stars instead.
In order to slightly make up for my tardiness, I made a pair of resin eyes. One pair with white scleras (top) and the other with black (bottom), but both filled with all the glitter and shinnies!
I am so happy to know this face plate is back home safe and sound and it was such an honor to paint for them ❤️
This is a modded Batchix St. George head that bought from Krowbar/handy_dandy_degenerate_candy at PNW BJD Expo way back in 2017. At the time I asked if they would mind me redoing the faceup and they said they didn't mind at all, but it wasn't something I felt up to tackling for a long time. He finally has a body I think feels right for him (the WS Dream Valley 51cm body) and I finally felt up to starting on it. The mods were pretty rough under the paint so I sanded him some more, but not enough apparently! I'm trying to use some Vallejo acrylic primer instead of just paint, so there's more sanding and spraying ahead for me but I think it'll look nicer than regular acrylic in the end.
Vortigern is an elven lord, born during the fall of the elven empire. He has the goal to bring them back to former glory by all means necessary, even if that means an alliance with Pazuzu aka the arch nemesis of the elves. There are better ways for sure, but this is a short cut (in Vortigern's opinion). That Pazuzu is also a hot piece of ass is a bonus in his book.
.
He's not nice, he's very focused and committed to his idea and if that ends with some collateral damage so be it.
.
The sheer amount of his offsprings rivals Pazuzu's (gotta get the population going here). In contrary to Pazuzu he actually cares little about them apart from their value as means to an end - to strengthen ties and gain land by marriage.
.
I HAVE MY ELF! Sorry, not much forthcoming, gotta drool over the work @jisatsubjd did 😍
.
(Extra dedication to @u4bik, you know why 😘)

💬 Vortigern is a @batchixdolls Dark Elf
No photo editing. :) Here’s a preview shot of Skuld wearing a pair of miniature handwoven beaded earrings for the upcoming drop. There will be more shots coming this week.
(Skuld’s default Lagoon faceplate painted by @zaksdolls .)
As guardian of fate Atropos rarely finds time to enjoy the silence but if he does the only one who is allowed with him is his trustful pipe fox Udon.
Atropos is not the friendliest of the spirits, but he has the greater good in mind and is just tired of fixing things. He’s at fault for some Beings intentionally messing up things though, because he’s emphatic like a stone... you reap what you sow, old man.
Decided to take a lazy crew shot to just have one since I haven't done one in a long time. >_> Will need to change the lighting situation so my palest dolls don't turn into ghosts. These are the full dolls. I have a few floating heads on display because I like the face but don't really have a strong feelings towards putting them on a body. And one headless body because I keep changing my mind on the head.
Will take a nicer one later.
My crew is so disjointed... what is planning.
