In honor of Bat Out of Hell coming out on Sunday (cue internal panic), today's Tune for Tuesday had to be Meat Loaf. I almost choose Bat Out of Hell for today, but that was a little too on the nose. Ergo, Life Is A Lemon And I Want My Money Back. The guitar riffs on this track are so good.

And in some crazy weird twist of fate, I'm going to see Meat Loaf's original band with a new lead singer (RIP The Meat) with an internet friend I haven't gotten to meet yet at the end of the month. Crazy business.

I see everyone attaching Hozier songs to Aziraphale and Crowley and I get it, I do. But knowing Terry Pratchett's love of Meat Loaf, can I raise you the Bat Out Of Hell III album as the perfect music to listen to post-Good Omens 2

Blind As A Bat is the absolute perfect song for Crowley’s confession to Aziraphale.

Millions of years of dancing around how he felt, of knowing it but not being able to say it, then finally biting the bullet in an act of desperation even though he knows Aziraphale is leaving.

Seriously, look at these lyrics!!!

"With everything to gain I end up losing it all. When the darkness sets in I scream out and your light sets me free"

You're telling me If God Could Talk wasn't written specifically for Crowley to listen to in his car in the pouring rain after Aziraphale left???

And don't get me started on imagining them getting back together and finally getting to love each other out loud! Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman wrote love songs with a level of pure drama these two deserve!

Bat Out Of Hell III has always been one of my favourite Meat Loaf albums, but listening to it with Aziraphale and Crowley on the brain, certain songs just hit different.

I know Terry loved Meat Loaf. I hope he would smile knowing I'm listening to this album every day right now and thinking of his characters.

MINOR SPOILERS IN THE TAGS FOR MOANA 2

Seen Moana 2 and I’m not gonna lie I was crying basically the whole movie BUT that doesn’t mean anyone else will cry through (almost) the whole movie like I did there were a few factors that made me personally cry throughout the damn movie

1. I am a very VERY easy crier and it’s gotten worse as ive grown older

2. Everything in the movie makes me miss home (I grew up on O’ahu and had to move because it’s too expensive in Hawai’i)

3. The movie was a surprise gift and I didn’t know we were gonna go out and I had taken half an edible, which makes me MORE emotional

#Moana 2 #honestly it was such a good movie #Maui did NOT need that long ass song the ending part would’ve been okay an inspirational one #but yeah they could’ve used the run time from Maui’s song to have some dialog from the other people!!#let them actually meet!!#hey could’ve talked either on the island #or when they got back to Motonui #also yeah I was high as hell crying my eyes out in a dark theatre #fun fact! I acquired my cat around the time of the first Moana #and before she was my cat she was my sisters #who named her Motonui #I tried to change her name but she liked Motonui #🙄😒😒#I did not cry during Matangi’s song #bat lady #her song could’ve been shorter too ngl #but it was pretty good #mauis should’ve been scrapped completely ngl #matangi the bat lady

Read the DoS prologue for fun and discovered that the Extremely Big And Important thing of Theo washing her clean clothes to get rid of her pain and guilt for killing people is mirrored in Seth, on literally page 2, saying she wishes her cloak was bloody so she could be marked by her guilt about the man she killed

yet more strangely vivid dreams i had the other day (yesterday and the day before), this time it's a twofer

#i'll start off with dream 1 #as per usual i can only conjure up the most vivid aspects of them #the most prominent element of this dream was some andrew tate-esque 'alpha male' influencer making a dumb tweet (par for the course)#the tweet in question was a qrt of a person making instant ramen that had a lot of ingredient packets (the more packets the better imo)#and the qrt was some transphobic slop along the lines of 'if you're a man and eat shit like this you might as well get a sex change'#however the comment section in OP's post wasn't going the way he wanted it to and tons of trans people were making memes and jokes out of it #the qrts of OP's post were hilarious #one of the most popular ones was of a transfem making a post of how she ate a lot of ramen as a kid and it made her trans #by the end of the day ramen was considered the unofficial 'trans' dish #funnily enough i ate a shitton of top ramen (among other brands) as a kid and look where i'm at now! i'm genderfluid and nonbinary...#and now for dream 2!#in this dream i was at my old high school (the one i attended before switching to online school) but the exterior was way different #it was a reddish-brown brick exterior similiar to the k-8 i went to before going to that high school (but not entirely the same)#my hair was super long; it was about rear length #i was also more androgynous looking #the outfit i wore was all black with my favorite docs; weirdly enough i wasn't wearing a spiked choker this time #you know i couldn't forget my eyeliner though!#i was meandering through the hallways since the ten-minute bell before first period rung #i saw a short girl with dark brunette hair in a low ponytail who had the cutest bat wing tattoo on her upper back #i complimented her tattoo but i don't think she heard me #as everyone went to class i was still wondering where the hell to go #i finally made it to the office (which had a see-through door) to pick up my schedule #that's all i could remember before that dream ended #what's cookin' in hell's kitchen?#adventures within my amygdala
