Disguised forms for the other Basilisks!

(Including my interpretation of Number II's appearance)

Number II, aka Tulip🌷

Age≈ late 20's/early 30's (~15 years older than Vee)

Goes by They/Them, Is the second oldest of the experimented Basilisks. They firsthand witnessed Number One(Greater basilisk that attacks Hexide)'s descent into madness and animalistic hunger. They were scared of what they could become, so they fought extra hard to retain their sanity, vowing to protect their younger kin. Tulip often risked taking punishments from the captors in the other's stead.

At around 15 years old, Tulip hears scouts talk about a new test subject that hatched recently and will soon be ready for experiments. Tulip breaks out and rescues the infant number five. A month of laying low later, and they are both hiding in a cave. Tulip finds a pool of Titan's blood trapped deep within, and they both enter into the human realm.

Tulip can't stay. They know they need to protect Treble and Ivy. So they watch in the shadows as Vee is taken into the care of a couple of humans before leaving her behind, where she can grow up in a place far from the Emperor's grasp. They absorb the remaining magic in the portal, severing this temporary link so that nobody can follow their child.

I got the idea to name her Treble from The Angel of the Owl house, by OwlHouseAngel on A03. I thought fit well, considering she's playing Eda's Citern in the finale, and the Idea of a basilisk playing instruments sounds cool. (even inspired some things for my AU)

Both were created from the same set of samples, making them almost like twins. They've got a close-knit sibling bond, very protective of each other. Treble gets headstrong and does risky things like attack coven scouts. Ivy often has to reign Treble in to prevent her from being too reckless. He tends to take an overly cautious approach to anything new.

I'm still not entirely sure how they play into the AU, but they meet Vee and are introduced to Camila to be accepted into their family

I loved this shot when I first saw it, I'm glad to see at least someone in the crew cares about them

I like to think she has a collection of different sweaters and chooses to wear them to keep her warm. Basilisks are mostly cold-blooded but passivly use up their magic to keep warm in cold temperatures. Vee likes to conserve energy by dressing warm during the colder months

She ended up in the human realm thanks to Tulip and was quickly adopted by the Nocedas. Not knowing about her origins, she's horrified learning what her kin has gone through.

She's less timid when confronting danger and hasn't gone through her canon trauma (minus a few fears like sharp objects and dark basements from ). She does, however, have trauma and grief from Manny's sickness and death.

This is Viras, a member of a species of snakes known as Korleks. They are enormous, Viras here is about 20 feet in length, and they unanimously have psionic abilities. They tend to be rather prim in terms of personality, and Viras, while nice about it, is no exception.

Viras in particular has a little basilisk in him, giving him natural armor plating and a petrifying glare. The unfortunate bit is that his petrification is broken, and is active at all times. To not endanger others, he either shuts his eyes at all times while using his psionics to navigate, or dons a pair of welding goggles so that he can at least somewhat see.

This is Zero (he/they)

The lore here isn't 100% set in stone and will probably change Lore dump (only somewhat listening to cannon lore): Zero didn't get out with some of the other basilisks like Vee. Zero met Thorn when it was in the emperors coven, Thorn and Zero became friends but eventually Zero was left alone again not knowing what exactly had happened. Thorn had gone to hexside intending to come back for Zero and whatever others he could get but never was able to get back (I will get into that more when I do some more art of Thorn). Zero was stuck in his cell until after Belos was defeated. Bonus cute fact! Thorn helped Zero figure out his more humanoid form :)

Day 3: Friendship

Being so busy with all her duties, Nadia has not so much time to make friends. But theres at least one, who can call himself her best friend: Jean-Pierre de Lauriston (also my OC), great photoghapher of all Koroliov's collections, especially with Nadia as a model, French, and...gay.

There was a time, when Robert was harsh on Nadia and without any chances to talk, he was jelous just because of Pierre's friendly presence near his match-maked girlfriend but i'm fact was...Nadia should 😅

Also, among all others, theres this one, WHO was with her almost from the begining - her family bitbeast, Vasilisk.

Huge snake-like monster, basilisk, with the power of ice, who was with her bloodline from the time of vikings or even earlier, chose her because of her scent, reminding him of home and his beloved master, Oleg the Prophet. Vasil can be fully materialised and being put into sleeping, he's hiding himself into silver bracelet around Nadias right wrist. Always there, if she need someone to talk to or cry in the dark.

Both of them didnt know theyre much more than friends...

And that Vasil may not to be a basilisk....

I tried to recreate a toh of mine of paper… the hair is too dark, the skin is a bit too dark and less milky then supposed to be, everything else is okay though lol. (She’s my basilisk oc fyi)

Vee with a Palisman! His name is Dewdrop, and he's precious, and Vee loves him like a baby, but he's protective and tries to act big, but he's tiny. (Then again, if a bug this big in real life threatened me, I would probably run for the hills)

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted their species to be, but then when I started thinking about insects, my mind went to these little fellas that hide in plain sight, JUST. LIKE. VEE.

I'm definitely using him in my AU (where Vee grows up on earth and comes with Masha to the Boiling Isles [I realize I probably need a name for it]). Maybe they bond on Palisman Adoption Day, or earlier, IDK.
