Only the shuffling sounds more like struggling and Tarquin quickly realizes that she isn't just bringing a few pieces to store at his place, and it spurs him to leave his door on the latch to venture down and give her a helping hand. "Christ, woman. That's double the size of you." he states as soon as he sees Filippa's hands either side of a canvas that towers in the hallway and Tarquin moves closer, trying to find the best angle in which to help. "Here, just...no...mum, if you just wait a second." he stammers as they both struggle with it, Tarquin finally able to turn the canvas landscape and gently too. He takes a peek to the art work, only to find there's about three strokes worth of paint on the whole fucking thing. "You're joking. Not one of yours, is it?" he breathes out, deadpanning before he laughs and then starts the meticulous task of backing up ascend the stairs. "If you walk as I walk, this will be a lot easier."

there r a lot of things about the myth of psyche and eros that makes me a little insane but one of them has always been the tasks from aphrodite and the unfairness of it. they're not intended to be possible. they're so obviously not meant to be possible, and psyche isn't fucking hercules, you know, she's not a demigod or whatever, she's mortal and these aren't mortal tasks!! it's why psyche has to be helped with each one, fucking by like ants and river gods and shit. and so like. idk. i know ppl see psyche and eros as like a story about love and shit which obviously it is but as a kid psyche and eros always felt like a story about being able to accept help

How did you and Charlie get married? What was life like when you were expecting Wally?

" We got married in January-- Summer time down in 'straya, it was so nice. I proposed a year before in front of my mother and she said yes immediately 🩵! The idea was to do it in December, close to my birthday, but it was too close to Christmas, so we decided to wait for all Holidays to be over so it would be just about 🩵us🩵!

We had a ceremony in a little chapel right out of Sydney, then we moved to a rustic building for the reception! All our friends were there, Ray too and of course, my mom! Charlie's family didn't show up, but we kind of expected it; she had broken contacts with them after what happened with Irwin. But her mother did send us a little gift 🩵. Even Irwin was there, even if... let's be real, he probably did it only for Charlie. Not for us or me.

All in all, it was a terrific day I will never forget! 🩵🩵🩵

As for Wally...

" It was a bit stressing, not gonna lie.

We wanted a kid really bad but we found out that... well, I couldn't do it. So we spent months trying, even going in special clinics to make it happen, but nothing seemed to work. Until the very last try.

We were instructed to keep Charlie resting for at least the first four months. We moved back to my mom's place and she helped Charlie around while I was working. Luckly the baby survived, but we were still on the edge, so she kept resting as much as she could. She was almost always inside. Mom would sometimes go out with her and keep a close eye on her, and we slowly went on.

We immediately understood that baby was a fighter! He kept kicking and moving around, as to tell us that yes, he was alive and he was strong! So, imagine our surprise when, almost a month before, we had to rush to the hospital because Charlie's water broke unexpectedly.

And there the real challenge started: nothing was going as it should've! Wally wasn't in position, Charlie wasn't ready, the doctors weren't sure what to do but the baby HAD to come out!

It took 7 hours but finally he was out, and they had to put him in a special incubator because he was premature. We couldn't even touch him for the first week, because they needed to be sure he was ok. But you could tell he was gonna be a challenge.

You see, those incubators for premature babies had holes on the sides so nurses could take care of the baby without taking him out.

Wally always put his little legs in there, giving nurses a hard time changing or feeding him!

Later we found out that he KICKED his way out of Charlie, ripping the membrane, and that's when we decided to name him Wallabee.

No bc fuck tim but it really really bothers me how people ignore his growth like he used to be an asshole and I’ll give tim Stans one thing: now he’s so so so stale but what I disagree with is that this staleness is bc nobody likes him like it’s in fact the exact opposite where everyone likes him so much they dont want to do anything. Even when it’s him surface level challenging Bruce it’s when everyone else is doing it too; but he’s still the backbone of the fam! Etc. and it’s so irritating bc him gaining more compassion and empathy even for people he doesn’t fw is so fun to watch and that’s why the captain boomerang thing was so out of character! (Not in a from the author way but in a tim wouldn’t do that and he and Bruce both knew it which is why it went down like it did. Same way dick killing joker was ooc; not in fanon sense but in a he would hate himself forever for this sense) and speaking of that it’s such an interesting mirror to Bruce who genuinely believes that everyone can grow vs Tim’s it doesn’t matter if they grow it’s not my decision to make like it’s the same but it’s not AND WITH CASS’ IT DOESNT MATTER IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO GROW I WONT DO IT! like ugh. And anyways even when people acknowledge it they boil it down to “Janet and Jack taught him that the capitalist pigs that they are” like no. This is who tim was. Tim was the kind of guy who’d blame a dead kid for dying. That’s ok. Also Janet and Jack? Please reread anything involving them that’s not a fic like Jack had anger issues and they were both aloof at worst like relax.
