see, I'm still really not confident or comfortable with my characterization of Evan! I see him as a bit of a weirdo/affectionate (you can't be Pandora Rosier's twin brother and not be a little......odd), certainly 'insane' enough to deal with Barty (same), perhaps quieter - no outward affect or affectation in his voice/tone so you have to sort of know him to understand ..... idk

I think he speaks a language very few can understand

I think with Lily and reader.............. Lily would play a bit of a motherly 'role', not necessarily dominate or in charge but supportive/organized? idk if that makes sense, like she makes sure they all sit down to eat together, maybe translates Evans.....Rosier-ness for him and if reader was shy (maybe help speak for you? "how did you find that book, y/n?" *reader makes panicked eyes at Lily* "she enjoyed it, yeah? you said it was quite good?") or feisty ("your bird is rude, Evans" "that's just how she shows her affection.")

Evan would be a bit of a doberman boyfriend; stoney faced all the time and everyone is already a little bit wary enough of him that just him being near you two forces them to steer clear? I think because he is so stoic/affectationless, him being sweet with you is like....exciting? like you feel like you've been gifted a cute little glimpse at a secret garden no one's ever seen before. driest sense of humour and he gives no tells that he's joking, you just have to know
