So the first fight between Crocodile and Luffy right? Absolutely amazing

From the genuinely cool use of Croc’s powers in the middle of a dessert, through Luffy’s resolve, up to the end of it with the one scene that made my jaw drop when I first saw it

Crocodile stabbing Luffy had such an impact when I first watched the anime because while villains like Arlong managed to postpone him, we never saw Luffy on the actual brink of death, and Crocodile’s monologue helps make the scene more menacing, with how it cuts short the hype of the fight

But like i mentioned before, Crocodile’s inability to trust others bites him back, when Robin who’s interested in the will of D comes to save Luffy. The scene is so cool and it finally sets up Robin as someone with a good heart, and not an evil right hand woman that she may seemed to be earlier

As for the other Straw Hats, I still adore the way they fooled barouqe works, Vivi has a shot at talking to the rebels and the crew will take on their separate agents, to which I will say I really like the structure of the final fights in this arc

Also this is way funnier than it should be

The fights themselves are great for both some shonen-hype and characterisation, and I really really like them for that

Hypothetically speaking, if I wanted to make a fanart of the boys in King John au, how would they look like? I mean, from what era of their carrier they would be and in what era would be the kingdom be. Is it the 63' boys in the XX century or 68' boys in barouqe?

Ooh awesome! 😊 Yeah it’s like the 1963 boys around the time Paul comes along. I picture the era as being medieval (although I try and keep the way they talk kinda consistent with their modern selves cos it’s an AU, but I picture their clothing and stuff as being medieval)
