The guys have done a terrific job, arriving in the dark, and harvesting the lavender by hand before the sun becomes to hot. @lyndochlavender It's now being dried and stripped or taken to our distillation area for oil extraction. The work is hard but they are certainly relaxed by the end of each work day. Daisies and Dragons. Perfect weather for being outside and in the garden, and look who we found today @lyndochlavender . Our Daisy, cheekily lying in the garden and a Bearded Dragon, close by, both enjoying the sun. We are lucky to have both bearded dragons and blue tongue lizard's living here. They are wild not pets and enjoy lying out in the sun, including on the paths and road ways. On the roads, slow down, please avoid them if you can, so they can continue to thrive and enjoy life in the sun for generations to come. First day of harvesting at Lyndoch Lavender Farm. It was a perfect morning at 7am for harvesting of our lavender, in full bloom, to begin. As we do it by hand it will take some weeks to complete.
