Yeah, this is the thing!

We have been given the impression that history is BASICALLY the same as ours, but with a few outliers- America made a supersoldier; Wakanda exists; Bucky killed a bunch of people; whatever- while still skewing as close as possible to reality. Something like the Cold War not ending when it did should have had a lot of geopolitical ramifications that also manifest in interpersonal issues, especially considering Tony Stark was an arms dealer and Sokovia is an eastern European country.

I’m not saying I ever mind recontextualizing worldbuilding- it’s what I do constantly for fun- but if they intend to do that, announcing it after 12 years of canon (and an additional 5+ within canon) is just sloppy and confusing.

It would be interesting, because if there's no Asgard then her powers are significantly decreased.

which would be a really interesting direction to take her character! where would she go to try to get back that lost power? and what would she do now that her initial raison d’etre (bringing Asgard back to its former glory) is now impossible?

haha this makes me laugh because when i see people talking about frasier i always briefly think about due south!

Like, ok. WoT1 is all about the ostentatious; I went and looked it up For Reasons, so now I’ll share, here, the beginning of the tiny blurb, various emphasizes mine:

Yeah. I’m seeing now that he made another attempt at an apology, but...too little too late? I’m sorry to break it to him, but a stupidly big chunk of Supergirl’s fanbase is gay girls. He's going on about how that was HIS intepretation of the story, which was apparently just as valid as everyone else’s--but the difference is, you’re in the cast. Your interpretation actually shapes the show. And you just went on record poking fun and laughing maniacally about a popular gay ship, along with the rest of your cast.

Then he tried to turn it around on fans saying that they’re also making him feel bad, but at least he unintentionally made everyone feel bad. This is grade A bull.

When I was a kid I HATED drinking water anywhere but home. Turns out my little hometown in Nowhere, PA was in the Top Ten Best Tasting Water in the country or something. Going to Buffalo to visit family was torture it tasted like drinking pool water but with extra sulfur.

It literally did not occur to me until reading this ask that people who talk about how they hate water or all water tastes the same or all water tastes bad have probably only had bad tap water and never appreciated fucking gourmet tap water like we are accustomed to.
