"The world would explode!!!!" Answered Levi. Satan sighed. "That is not possible. We can't explode." Lucifer huffed. "You are all idiots. You are not to try and mess with them. You don't know what would happen"

Asmo giggles "is there anyone more beautiful then me? I mean I think I'm more beautiful then myself? Wait that sounds odd." Belphie yawned "other me seems even meaner. I mean I don't have a problem with humans... as long as they let me sleep..." Beel got a great idea "I wonder if I could have a eating contest with myself!!!" Everyone turned to look at him and said no in unison. He frowned.

Diavolo smiled "meeting myself would be interesting. Definitely could learn more about myself!" Barbatos rolled his eyes. "No my lord. That is a bad idea."

Men whose reputations were everything to them. They had to keep up the pristine and perfect persona. They kept your relationship hidden from everyone. Shameful over daring to even converse with someone as lowly as you. Yet despite the harsh words, they enjoyed every second with you. To be seen with a standard human like you would surely damage his image.

One night the fear of ruining his reputation hits an all time peak, and he loses his cool. Yelling at you that you’re not worth losing anything for. That this all needs to end; that it’s been a waste of his time to be pursuing a useless relationship. When he finally cools down and you leave, will he realize what he’s just done. No matter what he sees or hears he tell himself that it was worth it. His reputation is no longer at stake and you can be happier not needing to pay pretend anymore.

They wish they could just leave everything behind and live a life with you two. No worries of work, reputation, or enemies. Maybe in the next lifetime. But in this lifetime they hope you’d forgive them somewhere down the line for leaving you.

As years go by and he gets older, the only hope he has is that one day you’ll be back so you’ll be able to grow old together. Every marriage proposal he turns down because he can only imagine spending his life with you. He thought his reputation was everything, now he realizes you were actually everything thing to him.

"Get ready, we're having a tea party at the Demon Lord's Castle."

Half visible from their spot in the bed, they could see Lucifer leaning a hand on the door frame, sporting a handful of papers sure to be Mammon's contribution to the weekly bills. A quick creak snapping the door shut again had the human moving to get ready for the ineviavtable interogation sure to occur from the recent shenaigans.

Really, it was their own fault for being hasty. A choice they made, time and time again. Nonsensical situations and events, always a new danger looming on the horizon. Between the people they loved and their own life, they would always choose their loved ones. A pity said loved ones had an opinion on that.

The Demon Lord's Castle gardens were beautiful, as if Barbatos would allow for any less of the Little D's that maintained it. A little table, almost comically small for the three demons gathered around a human who could never outpace them all. Lucifer flanking them, Diavolo across from them, and Barbatos readying Hellrose tea with blank smile beside Diavolo.

As ever the leader, Diavolo leaned forwards and began, "Last week, you endangered yourself. This is not a new situation, you've also attempted prior to protect the others with your own life. I would like an explaination."

Straight shoulders and calm voice, trying not to be too forceful while retaining authority. This wasn't their Diavolo, gentle and kind and lonely, always reaching for a connection he didn't quite have the social grace to make. This was the Demon Prince, dealing with a threat to the human he considered his to protect. A threat they seemed to be posing to themselves, recently.

There really wasn't an opportunity to get away from this. If it wasn't the Royals, it would be the the Angels, the Brothers, or the Sorcerer. May as well start a fire, if it's bound to be an unavoidable problem. Moving from problem solving to damage control, it's always been their specialty.

"I'm human. We live, what, a century? I've given my life candle to Beel, I think the food here has poisioned me enough a Chinese emperor would be jealous, and my life is in near constant danger."

Lucifer stared, Diavolo stared harder. Barbatos had stopped pouring and was now white-knuckling the teapot under his gloves. Hopefully it wasn't one of his favorites.

"If someone has to go, I'm the one who should. I won't live like you." Spoken with the monotony of someone who could only speak like they played pranks with Death itself, they continued their ramble. "I love you. I love the Devildom. I can never be safe here, but it'll always be better than the Human world because the people who love me are here," They paused a moment, "If I need to die to keep you all safe, I will."

It felt, not good, but better to admit. Unfortunate that no one else seemed to take it well.

Lucifer was gripping their thigh tightly, an abnormally distressed look usually reserved for the worst of their families rampages. Diavolo had taken their hand, and was leaning far enough across the table it had begun to lean. Barbatos' smile had dropped alongside the cracks beginning to appear in the pretty little teapot, painted flowers splintering under the weight of his grip.

"I believe I should see you to the Young Lord's guest room, little lamb." The teapot was set down, and quicker than they could see, Barbatos was offering a hand at their side. Taking their hand as the other two released them, Barbatos quickly escorted them out, leaving Lucifer and Diavolo behind with the broken teapot, now cold.

The two quietly looked to each other, grim and considering and ever too nonchalant.

"Solomon was once mortal too."

I was thinking about Barbatos, Sebastian Michaelis and Jade Leech in a room together and while Barbatos and Sebastian are busy taking passive aggressive jabs at eachother Jade is just nervous because "I'm not a demon- Or a butler- I don't..go here-"

Which pauses the entire conversation

B: Do you have magic abilites? Traits that make you appear generally offputting?

J: Yes..? I guess so..?

B: Honorary Demon.

S: That's settled, now, what do you do for your housemates?

J: Cook, clean, fix clothing, make tea- normal housemate things? I mean, their my twin and childhood companion so-

B: Definitely butler behavior.

OKAY YIPPEE!! LESSON 52 SPOILERS!!

Talking about Lesson 52 and expectations beyond!

So, we've got our plot on track. It feels a little bit like some of the old stuff is being revisited; obviously Simeon. But we've also got MC's magic! Looks like they've gotten even more powerful, to the point Solomon even points out that they no longer need an incantation to use magic in some cases!

I think the plot progression is going to be as follows:

♡ Simeon becoming a demon, he will either fully fall, or return to being an Angel. Personally, I would prefer the fall, but considering the devs bias towards the Celestial Realm recently, I think he's more likely to return to being an Angel.

♡ MC is going to lose control of their magic again. Solomon makes a point that they might become sick from excess magic, and Diavolo is implied to be concerned about this. I don't think it'll be the same as season 2 in the OG game, but rather MC's last hurdle before becoming a fully fledged sorcerer. Maybe spending time with each of more powerful members of the cast to learn from them. I think we could explain this with MC making pacts with the brothers in the past, and thus making the original pacts even more powerful.

♡ I think that we're going to see active challenges to Diavolo's power in the Devildom. The House of Lords has been a problem repeatedly, and with Meowcao shown to house KNOWN opposition to Diavolo, the brothers, and the exchange program we'll probably have to spend the next season working to spread the popularity of Diavolo's peace. I think if we're really lucky, we might even get to see Diavolo crowned king.

♡ At some point during this, the events of the Nightbringer timeline will probably become relevant. I think a pre-Fountain of Knowledge Barbatos is responsible, but I think the Simeon theory holds weight as well IF he becomes a full demon. A future MC as Nightbringer is ALSO good, but I can't see the devs taking that route. Regardless, it's likely to become relevant either at the end of this season or the beginning of the next.
