Summary : Getting over someone’s death is never that easy. A former member of Helios named Banri Mikado is no longer in this world.

‘How could I possibly move on? I wish you didn’t leave me….and the others too.’ 

That tragic moment when Banri died, right after he decided that it was the time to pass on the Cait Sith divine tattoo to Kazuma, everything changed. Sealing Fenrir away was the only solution that the Helios team could think of. However, all of that was Banri’s idea as he always wanted Kazuma to be his next successor to Cait Sith. Eiji was currently angered by this, warning his friend not to do that without discussing it first. 

Eiji and Kagami were planning to put an end to this madness by killing Fenrir that was consuming Kazuma’s body. Eiji couldn’t bring himself to kill his own brother. Kagami wanted to do it for him, even though he hesitated at first. That was the part where Banri stepped in, telling them that it was another way. You watched in horror, seeing this all happened so fast. You cradled the dying Banri in your arms, your clothes stained with his blood. He said his last words to you, saying that he loves you very much. That he wants you to carry on with your life. 

You screamed his name as he died in your aching arms, his body stopped moving. You begged him to wake up, to open his damn eyes. It was all too late. Banri Mikado is now dead. 

A day after that, you couldn’t even eat properly or sleep. Eiji and the others were worried about you. One of them came by your apartment to check up on you. You didn’t say anything much to your friends as they tried to comfort you, still grieving over the death of your former boyfriend Banri. 

In the middle of the night, you cried in your sleep. Banri’s laughter and smiles flooded your mind. It even starts to hurt your poor heart thinking about him. Memories of your love consuming you, all those days where he just teased you while peppering you with his affection and kisses. Sleeping in that bed in the apartment without Banri, his touches no longer caressing on your skin. 

‘Banri, I’m trying to read!’ You tried to shove him off you while your stomach twirled into a burst of laughter with Banri tickling your sides as he kissed your neck affectionately. ‘Shut up and let me love you, (Y/n).’ 

That teaser never stops kissing you, especially at the Titan Book Cafe in public. Kagami would often hide his flushing red face behind his book while reading. Eiji just smirks in amusement, enjoying the scene of you two kissing each other. Kazuma just rolled his head around, turning back to the kitchen as he does not want to see all that mushy stuff. 

Those days were the happiest days of your life, spending some good time with your boyfriend…

Your heart ached so hurtfully, remembering all the cherishing moments with Banri. With him gone, you couldn’t find a way to move on from this heartbreak. No matter how much you tried. Eiji, Kagami and Kazuma grew worried about your well-being. They wanted to come and see you but didn’t want to bother you any further. They knew that you still haven’t severely gotten over Banri’s death. 

The painful day he died, it left a hole in your heart. An empty, shallow hole that can’t be fixed. It will take some time to heal that wound but you highly doubt you will fix yourself. You can’t expect anyone to fix that hole for you, can you?

Because that’s not how it works sadly. The only way you can fix yourself is to move on with your life and do the things that keep you going but how can you possibly do that?

You can’t get over your former boyfriend’s death, you can’t move on because without him around, it’s just not the same.

During those endless nights in your apartment, Banri was constantly all over your mind. You sobbed in your bed, dampening your pillow with your grieving tears. Feeling everything falling apart…

Can we have one season of them? I really want to see their friendship, their bond, their stories. I want to explore their characters. 😭

With only a few moments, we can still conclude how close these three are with each other. We can all notice how they can read each other. We can all feel how loyal they are to Helios and how they consider each other as family.

We all know that they'll kill and die for each other. I just love how Eiji and Kagami both supported Banri with his decision during this fight. I just love how they carried the burden and gave their all for Kazuma.

I strongly believe that these three have the biggest hearts in the series.

Eiji, who carried the burden of being the hero of Akatsuki.

Banri, who gave his all to guide and save Kazuma.

Kagami, who did everything just to protect the ones he loves most.

People may say that HELIOS LIED or Kagami, well, did THAT but then again, it was for the sake of something, someone they love.

Summary : It’s hard to move on from the passing of your first love, the man you will never replace and never forget.

The day Banri died, everything changed. Ever since this evil being named Fenrir took over Kazuma’s body causing wreck havoc in Akatsuki Ward, Banri stepped in and gave the Cait Sith divine tattoo to him. Sealing Fenrir away. You stood back and watched while Eiji and Kagami aided him. You were against Banri giving up his divine tattoo to Kazuma but you didn’t argue with him about it in that dying situation. He was badly injured. 

With Fenrir sealed away, Banri died. You didn’t even shed a single tear because you were not comfortable wanting to show your vulnerable side. Banri was buried the next day. It was a small funeral, only for Helios. You couldn’t come due to the fact you lost someone very precious to you. Banri, the man who captured your heart and teases you every time he spends time with you. 

You couldn’t even encourage yourself to go to his funeral. Eiji never got mad at you for it because he knew how much Banri meant to you. Kazuma was still recovering. Kagami came over to your apartment to check on you. He comforted you while you were lying down on the couch with tears falling down on your pale cheeks, venting to him about the death of Banri. Eiji only checked up on you once, he knew that you needed some space. 

In your quiet apartment, cooped in your messy bed, you could feel the warmth fading away due to the lack of Banri’s presence ever since he died that one day. The three members of Helios messaged you to see if you were doing alright but didn't send them a reply. Still grieving over Banri and all that. 

The silence took a heavy fall in the apartment, nothing was the same without Banri. You gained the little strength to move around besides staying in bed all day, you rummaged through the cardboard box with the gifts of your dead boyfriend, the things you got him. Memories of your special dates with Banri came flooding in, his intoxicating, faded laughter ringing in your ears. That damn smile on that cheeky face of his soothes your heart every time he flirts the hell out of you. 

His touches, his kisses, the way he just kept giving you affection 24/7. Causing Eiji to smirk in amusement. Kagami chuckling behind his book. Kazuma rolling his purple-pinkish eyes in disgust. Banri loves to make you embarrassed in front of three guys hanging around in the book cafe. Those days were full of bliss.

Now he’s gone. You will never hear and see him laugh, even his smile, ever again. This heartbreak shattered your whole body, you cried heavily over the gifts you bought for him. Curling up on the floor as you clenched the small picture frame of you and him to your chest.

Angst in this anime is way too heavy and hopefully, Kazuma won't be robbed off of Kagami too..

I just want to reach out and hug this poor kitten. He had been through so much. He lost Banri, one he thought left town and gave him his CatSith.

He lost Eiji, his only family member. He wasn't even there when Eiji took his last breath. He wasn't even there to protect his big brother when Eiji was cornered.

He will lose Kagami, one way or another. He knows that. He said that Kagami is the only one left for him in the ward and that was heartbreaking especially when we realize that he said those words EVEN AFTER HIS RESEARCH.

And with the recent events, I bet he was trying to look the other way. Kagami once mentioned that Kazuma doesn't believe that Eiji is dead.

Maybe not confronting Kagami is Kazuma's way of denial...of telling himself that none if these is true.

He had lost almost everyone he ever loved. The kitten is now lost and lonely. And we just want to hug him.

Let not Kazuma be alone again, please.

It's midnight from where I am at and the past episodes still plague me. 🥺😭

We were only given a few moments with this wonderful man. And from those few yet precious scenes, we can definitely conclude the following:

1. Banri Mikado is a selfless person, one who is willing to give everything to the ones he loves most.

2. He is observant, by the way he analyzed Kazuma's skills and had given the boy something he knew Kazuma would be good at.

3. He is playful, by the way he teases Kazuma and his remarks on Eiji.

4. He is a fighter, choosing to fight despite his injuries.

5. He never gives up, deciding to spare every life he can no matter what.

6. He has the softest smiles, ones that reassure, ones that comfort, ones that can be carved into our hearts even if we have only met him for a few moments.

7. Once he sets his mind into something, he makes sure that he'll do it.

8. Kagami and Eiji do not contradict his decisions. We have seen how they both agreed to his plan and have supported him willingly.

9. He is the adorable big brother we never had.

10. He is smart enough to come up with a way to stop Fenrir.

11. He has the biggest heart in the series. He had sacrificed the most for a loved one. (i do not take other opinions for this. Sorry)

We all should acknowledge Banri, for everything.

This is so self-indulgent because I missed his birthday last February. 😭🥺

And I miss Project Scard. Season Two, please.
