jsyk i love all your fictional species, but i'm really interested in the banetai and vampires (as in the anthro bats)! in the past they all had the semblas of shadow for the banetai and the vampires had toxin i think? can they still have secondary sembla, and/or is the primary no longer set in stone?
No species only have a single Sembla anymore, instead, each species has a sort of "Inherent Species Ability" that aligns with a Sembla, but they aren't locked as individuals from abilities.
There are no anthro bat Vampire species; instead, Vampires in HF are a Kraizenian offshoot species that occurred once the Kraizen who lived in Vantalain long enough mutated into this form. They are defined by having Vita Siphons somewhere on their body, typically fangs. They can look like many different things. Here's the info about them!
As for secondary Sembla, Banetai can, but for the Vampires, I'm thinking no. Kraizenians have a solid Semblic specialty, Chimerics (like Banetai) do not.
For creatures that drink blood (like Banetai) but are not the actual Vampire species, you can call them either hemovores (blood-drinkers) or just vampiric, or their species name.

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT. THESE LAST TWO WERE GOOD , But..What of marge? And hygruska? I heard marge was sure a normal woman!!
Marge is 100% totally normal woman! Absolutely!
Margaret and Hygruska show up in the story arc that focuses on the wax tether and vani (they have yet to be named) and they’re the overall threat to everyone involved.
-Margaret is 10000% the one pulling the strings between her and Hygruska, with him becoming more complacent over time do to legitimately fearing her
-Hygruska does however still aid Margaret despite his reservations. Though the two do have a similar mindset in terms of wanting to get rid of banetai that have found themselves on Earth
-Margaret doesn’t necessarily have an end goal or a reason for her actions. She’s just Like That, and that makes her all the more terrifying
-Out of the two of them, Hygruska is more likely to surrender and aid Penelope and co. His thoughts on the mercy mission are complicated, with him struggling to comprehend which side of the fight is “correct”.
-Margaret is very skilled with crafting makeshift flamethrowers
-Margaret’s secondary sembla IS fire :}
-Margaret’s monster form resembles a fox
-Hygruska prefers to stay out of everyone’s business and let things play out whenever he can. He’s often buried underground, with his horns usually sticking out above the ground.

Get this. There’s a species, right? Creatures from the beginning of the universe, so extremely diverse. They can be big, small, any color, look like pretty much anything, only with a few general requirements. These aliens, called the Kraizen, have four paradigms. Ekorian, joy, green. Krianian, creativity, blue. Devarian, power, purple. Beltasian, love, red. These four help found the identities of the entire Kraizenian people. Another astounding feature of the Kraizen is their attunement to the Semblic system- a psionic-based castic system of 40 39 Sembla, all diverse. For millions of years they thrive, living in relative harmony in a near-perfect society. But eventually, after these millions of years, an Event hits. They are made practically immortal, but at the cost of a few things. The ability to reproduce, the ability to eat comfortably (unless you’re Devarian), the ability to feel things related to your Paradigm, and are now all hellbent on wiping out the universe in a corrupt sense of ‘mercy’- Life is suffering, so they must be the hero and end it, correct? Through the past 5 million years, the new Vani have been wiping out the universe, ending numerous species and planets. A similar species, two pages of the same book, the Omni, fight back. The two kinds have different approaches to the Vani problem- the day-like Omni, the Holloans, have a harsher approach, while the Night Omni, the Jaluans, want to remind the Vani of what they once were as Kraizen. A specific planet that has been under target multiple times, named Keratasa, houses notable species, such as the shapeshifting shadow beasts called the Banetai, the carnivorous jester Troupera, the sound-eating Cheyolgra, and even some of the simpler races, such as the Tanri, the Lokwi, and the Armadogs. And even older than that, in the past, dragons roamed Keratasa, all diverse as well, different types of species. And these dragons were made to fight back against the star-beast, the Kraizen. And on Earth, a phenomenon is occurring. Humans are becoming monsters- all unique, with their own forms, finally gaining the ability to use psionics. I wonder what that’s about. Reaching further into the Cosmos- the layers of the universe themselves- we see other different species. The Devils, bioluminescent beasts of order, the Guardians, ghost-like entities possessing dreams and electronics in our own world, the Vampires, a starved, blood-sucking race that create thralls of a sort, and the Basilisks, beasts of madness with incomprehensible gazes that freeze you in their place. Hypnofantasma houses many different alien races, all so diverse, as an expansive universe that is beautiful and criminally underrated. I implore you to check it out.
That's a big number. Uh.
Who wants to take turns infodumping.

can you explain the "copy forms" jackie has?
Jackie's a Banetai, which is a dollish creature that can steal, create, and store mimic forms to later transform into.
However, after she lost her real arms, her copies have become imperfect; most Banetai copy other creatures' forms to perfectly hide amongst them, but Jackie's injury has left her with only the ability to transform into a vague semblance of the thing she copied.
Doesn't stop her- and her apparently magic jacket- from transforming into the imperfect semblance of past foes to get the edge in battle!

Do we have any (cute) banetai pups images? I really have taken to the species as one of my favorites in your series...
These should suffice!
(They're basically just colorful hyenalets.)

apologies for all the questions but i got another banetai one, do banetai have any specific naming conventions like vani? or can they just have any name?
not reaaallly atm
Jackie is a nickname form of Jackal, and she's really the only example i have really. i feel like you can sort of name Banetai whatever you'd like really, though i personally like to keep in mind a sort of horror/darkness/halloweenish feel to them because of their "monster under the bed" theme

Where do the banetai live? I am aware they live on keratasa but can they live on other planets? What is their typical enviroment they usually make their homes?
deep forests/woodlands. they venture out to other places to hunt but they live and thrive in shadowy woods with tall, dense trees
they could live on any planet with Earth- or Keratasa-like atmospheres as well as possess some sort of forest

So wait, is there any real information on the creatures known as Vampires, that are related to the Banetai? Like appearance? I think it'd be cool to have a Vani disguise himself as one
True Vampires are a mysterious kind, and are known to be solitary and secretive. They used to be known to exist a few centuries ago, but in the current age, they've fallen into myth.
Their appearance was said to be that of a cross between a wolf, a bat, and various bipedal monsters depending on the account. They may have been able to shapeshift, but no one knows if they truly could. Or if they're truly related to Banetai, with that being a rumor.
(AKA- they're a big mystery oooooooo)

will we have a multi part story on other species like the frukku / omni / banetai / what have you in the same vein as kenopsia or are the kraizen too involved in the stories of everything that at least one part WOULD be something pre existing in kenopsia?
the multi-part structure IS inherently based upon the Kraizen and they fact they've existed through ALL of time, with each part chronicling their major eras!
i do have a possible story based entirely on the Omni, Corpse Eyes is less about the kwaiz and is about dragons, and To Be the Last especially will focus on the smaller guys like Frukku and Banetai! as for individual multi-part stories, probably not; their stories are not as grand as the Kraizen. but i am not opposed to single-part stories that focus on their species, with no/minimal Vani interference
BUT YEAH the Forever Ocean is pretty intertwined with the Kraizen, with them acting as the catalyst/the flagship twist of my universe. Pre-Brand, you're gonna see and have contact with Kraizen. Post-Brand, you're gonna hear tales of the Star Dragons (Vani), if not fight them directly.
