Chapped Lips
fandom: PLAVE pairing: various x reader genre: fluff summary: What would they do if they discovered your lips chapped on a cold winter night? word count: roughly 300 words per part
a/n: I wrote these almost a year ago and I thought that after I was done with a project that I was working on, I would start posting these little prompts! I would hate if no one else got to enjoy them, so I decided that I would start uploading them here. I will remind everyone that these are my own hc and that these shouldn't reflect on the members in any way, shape, or form. Please kindly look forward to next weeks posting!
Tumblr media
The days were becoming colder as autumn set in and today, you just happened to forget your lip balm. The chapped skin was beginning to feel tight, and you had tried to fold your bottom lip underneath your teeth, sucking it as you waited for the boys.
Eventually, your lip began to throb from the excessive sucking, and you opted to pick at the peeling skin, savoring the feeling of the cool air on chewed lips. It was better to pick away wet, loosened skin than dry ones.
Hearing the door to the building next door open, you began to hear the chatter of the group you were waiting for. The five of them were dressed warmly and you could tell they had a good day already from the looks on their faces.
You approach the group, waving at them as you draw closer.
Yejun: Kisses you with it on
Yejun smiles and you link arms with him, the rest of the group leading the way to the restaurant. You listen as he talks about the highlights of his day and you can’t help but smile at his enthusiasm, but as you stretch your lips you feel a sharp sting on the corner of your mouth.
You tucked your lip into your mouth again and gave a soft smile, hoping Yejun didn’t notice. But he did. He slows your walk, and you look at him confused.
“What’s wrong?” You ask.
“Your lip,” He frowns, a sad watery look as he stares at your mouth. “It’s all red. Do you have your lip balm with?”
You huff and try to smile as much as you can. “It’s no big deal. I’ll just buy some more at the convenience store on the way.”
Yejun glances at the group ahead of them before pulling you to the side quickly. You stutter, wondering what’s happening. Yejun watches the group as his hands swipes across his face before turning to you.
Gently, he lifts your face to his and he leans in to plant a soft kiss on your lips. This surprises you as you freeze up as you stare at him. He notices this and he pulls back, his eyebrows lifted and his eyes wide.
“What’s wrong? Is there not enough?”
You watch as he reapplies his lip balm before going back in for another kiss, making sure to kiss your entire mouth. He covers every inch of it and when he’s done, he pulls back again to make sure he got every dry part of your lips and cheeks.
Your face is blazing hot and you stutter out the big question: What’re you doing?!
“I wanted to help moisten your dry skin. It helps that I’m from the sea, so we should do this more often.”
The innocent look Yejun was giving you made you melt inside and you had to walk briskly away from him to prevent falling into his arms, his whining and laughter following close by behind you.
Tumblr media
Noah: Teases you before planting a quick kiss??
As you approach the group, Noah greets you casually, his eyes flitting to your mouth as you walk and talk. Eventually the group is distracted by the yataz special as Hamin and Yejun try to mediate between them. You and Noah watch, laughing at their shenanigans. As you lean on Noah for support, he pokes at your cheek to get your attention.
“What happened here?” He taps his own lips, smiling as he watches your reaction.
You softly touch your lips, noticing the sting when you come into contact. “I forgot my lip balm. I was going to buy more at the convenience store.”
Noah smiles cheekily and pulls out a tube of his own lip balm, extending it towards you. Your face brightens up and you reach for his hand, thanking him as you did. But before you could, he quickly retracts his hand, opens the tube and applies it to his own lips.
You feel your cheeks grow warm. So it was for him and not out of kindness for you. You slowly lower your hand and make a move to keep walking, but are stopped by a sea of blonde. You feel something soft and sticky press against your mouth and you instinctively push your lips outward to cushion the force.
There was a series of soft kisses pressed on your mouth and something wet dragged against your bottom lip before pulling away. You stare at Noah, wide-eyed and blushing. He wore a playful smile as he pulled away and as he examined your face, he couldn’t help but break out into laughter.
This caught the rest of the group's attention and they wandered over to ask what had happened. You couldn’t say a word as you stood staring with wide eyes, blushing red like a tomato. Noah sat on the sidewalk, laughing uncontrollably.
Tumblr media
Eunho: Rubs some on with his finger
You join the group, greeting them with a wave and smile. With everyone here and ready to go, you all start walking towards the restaurant. You check your pockets for a sign of lip balm one last time before you follow them and to your disappointment, come up empty-handed.
Eunho had noticed you stop and waited for you as you did so. He had noticed how red your lips were, but said nothing, planning on buying you some more at the convenience store on the way. As he shoved his hands in his jacket pockets, his fingers brushed up against a small cylinder.
Pulling it out, he found a small tub of his favorite lip balm. Just what you both needed. Eunho turned to step closer to you, calling you out as he did. As you looked up from your search, you noticed how close Eunho was and gave him a puzzled look.
“Hold still for me, yeah?”
You did as you were told and suddenly felt his fingers against your lips. The touch startled you and you froze in place as he did, staring at him with wide eyes. With a couple of swipes, your lips were fully moisturized again, and he gave you a satisfied smile, his wolf teeth poking out.
“Ah, thank you...” You mumbled out, your cheeks suddenly turning warm.
At first, he gave you a weird look and then in a split second, his eyes went wide. It seemed that Eunho had finally caught on and it was his turn to blush and sheepishly respond to you. The rest of them called for you as they were very ahead of you two and you ran towards them to catch up.
“Why are you two red?” Bamby tilted his head, a confused look on his face.
The two of you both glanced at each other, panting from the short sprint. Both of your faces were already red, but you both avoided each other's gaze.
“We just ran—what do you think?”
“We sprinted here, Bonggu!”
The two of you brushed past the rest and continued walking. Bamby’s confused look deepened.
“But they only ran half of a block?”
Tumblr media
Bamby: Applies it, but uses up his tub, so he gets some off of you
As the six of you were walking to the restaurant, Bamby slowed his pace with yours, staring at your face as you walked. You give him a weird look, smirking.
“What is it? Is there something on my face?”
He frowns before looking down at your lips and you suddenly know what he’s thinking about. You raise your hand to your face, gingerly touching the sensitive skin. It stings from the touch and from the cold, but if you tuck back in, it might help.
A bright pink stick waved itself in front of your face and you looked to see Bamby holding out his lip balm to you. You thanked him and unscrewed the cap, applying a generous amount of it on your bottom lip.
You could feel him staring at you as you did, but you paid him no mind. When you finished, you handed him back the tube. It felt lighter than when he gave it to you and when he took hold of it, he must have noticed too. He unscrewed the cap and went in to apply some to his own lips but was met with the end of the tube.
He glowers at you, and you apologize, afraid of what he might say or do next. He closes the space in between you, and you suddenly feel his lips on his. It doesn’t feel like a kiss per se, but more of his lips rubbing against your own, swiping away at the balm on your lips.
He steps away after a moment, undisturbed by his actions and increases his pace to catch up with the group ahead of you. Your face suddenly felt hot, and you could feel a surge of emotions well up: a mix of embarrassment and surprise.
How could he just do that without knowing how you feel?!
Tumblr media
Hamin: applies it himself
Hamin bounds towards you, a big grin on his face. He calls for you and you smile back, but as he gets closer, he pulls his mouth into a big frown. You ask him what the matter was and you can see that he was staring at your mouth. It must be all red and swollen from how much you’ve been chewing on it.
Hamin swung his bag around and dug inside, pulling out his signature lip balm. One that he was hoping to get his next PPL with. He moved to give it to you, but then hesitated as you held your hand out.
“Noona, your lip is bleeding!”
You were startled at his exclamation and reached your hand up to find the bleeding spot but was stopped by Hamin softly grabbing your chin and lifting it up. Before you knew what was happening, he was already applying a generous layer of soft balm on your bottom lip.
It felt like it took an hour as you felt your cheeks grow warm under his touch and you tried to look anywhere but his face. It didn’t take long for your gaze to wander to his face, and you couldn’t help but watch him. His face was so concentrated, brushing the stick back and forth slowly as he did. His brows crinkled and his eyes squinting, like he was painting a scene.
He finally finished and he looked up to meet your gaze, his face slowly revealing his thoughts. Oh no, what was I doing? You quickly pushed your lips together and took Hamin’s hand in yours and finally smiled wide, your lips no longer aching from the cold, and thanked him for his help.
He nodded and mumbled a response before striding over to the rest of the group. If the two of you had turned back towards each other, you would have noticed that you were both red from the intimate exchange.

How I think PLAVE members would react if you went out on a date with them but trip and fell along the way
Yejun: immediately comes to your aid with this face 😦 and asking you if you’re okay over and over.
Noah: will laugh at you for a minute straight before helping you up.
Bamby: side eyes you as he waits for you to get up (treats you later though).
Eunho: will fall with you because he was clinging onto your arm prior.
Hamin: he will pick you up and carry you piggy-back style so you won’t fall again.

Unrequited Love
fandom: PLAVE pairings: various x reader genre: angst word count: 200-700 prompt: "So this is what unrequited love feels like"
Tumblr media
Yejun: Je Te Laisserai Des Mots
He looks on quietly, his heart broken as he looks at you. Softly, he leads you in. Arms wrap around torsos, a quiet click as the door shuts closed.
Yejun’s front suddenly warms and your gentle sobs shiver underneath his fingertips. All he could do was squeeze you gently and listen to your crying. No matter how many times you come to him, your life in chaos and in shambles, he will always be there for you. Patiently waiting for you as you call for him, knocking on his door.
He knows not to take advantage of this, his feelings put to the side as he comforts you. He leaves encouraging words for you: a text message, a note slipped under your door, soft singing from the other side of the room, or hidden goodies carefully selected under his watch.
And when you’re alone for a moment, the both of you fall from grace.
kiss me, one of you whispers. whenever you want
Neither are sure who says it, but it happens anyway. Both who are in need of someone. Both looking for comfort. Both craving an affection that the other cannot have.
Only one who desires the other in front of them. A gentle desire.
A gentle love.
Kiss me
Whenever you want
Tumblr media
Noah: Let You Break My Heart Again
He’s fallen for you.
Unbelievably so.
The way you take up all of his mind.
The way he treats you extra-so special. He always surprises you with coffee from the shop he frequents. You, who makes a face at the bitter coffee you drink before continuing to drink it all the same. He calls you to remind you of the big event you’re both attending. You, who desperately tries to fix your hair before going out to only get it messed up.
He watches you as you both exchange music playlists, not even paying attention to the playlist you gave him because he knows he’ll just enjoy it later when he’s alone. You, who sits silently as you listen to music with your eyes closed; tapping your finger against your body and your face, your emotions, moving along with the song.
He tries to understand what he is to you, unsure of the hand-holding and affectionate hugs you give him. Unsure of the long phone calls between the two of you as it goes late into the night. Unsure of the sudden house break-ins you’ve done to wake him up and watch the sunrise together.
But he knows you don’t feel the same.
The way you look at him is nothing compared to the way you look at them. The way your face softens, your mouth turning into a warm smile and the color of your cheeks reddening.
The way his heart hurts makes him want to cry. His feelings–muddled and confused as he watches you fall in love with someone other than him.
He should stop–heaven knows he's tried.
Someday, he will stop falling in love with you.
Someday, someone will like him the way he likes you.
So he pretends that you’re more than friends.
Someday–one day
He will stop falling in love with you.
But until then, he'll be thinking of you.
And he'll let you break his heart again.
Tumblr media
Bamby: Youth
The starting line was when he felt the warm feeling bloom in his chest.
It grew more and more at the sight of you.
You were both reckless. Wild youth that ran down streets, played in parks, and fought viciously. You, who grew up with him and treated him with love and respect as a brother. Him, who saw you as nothing more than a goddess–someone who understood him.
You knew all of his secrets. His fears, his likes and dislikes, his trials, his hobbies, his insecurities, and his best moments.
Someone to spend the rest of his life with.
You would both be together until the shadows of the night appeared. Until your mothers had to call for you. Until you both had to part for the night. Both of you, who promised each other to see the other tomorrow, same spot, if you aren’t here then I won’t play with you again.
The sad thing about the world is that time is unforgiving. Never stopping for anything.
You both grew together, went through different routines and changes. But that never stopped the both of you to be together. You were there when he broke his leg from falling down the concrete stairs. You were the one who signed his cast first, adding a small heart next to his name when you wrote ‘get better soon Bamby!’ He was there when your body changed rapidly at school. When you couldn’t leave the bathroom for an hour because of your first blood. He was there with you in the nurse's office, holding your hand as you cried from the pain. Oh, how badly he wanted to take your pain away.
You both, who breathed the same air and drank the same water. Both of you, who chased visions of your futures. Unknowing of the world that never stopped. For anything.
You, who waited quietly around the corner as Bamby was pulled aside to be confessed to. Him, who stood directly next to you when you were confessed to. Both of you, who denied that your relationship will never go anywhere.
Only one of you, who knew that it could be a lie.
That one will die before he gets there.
He, who would watch with tormented feelings as you were wooed by a series of people. He, who threatened any of them that would dare hurt you. He, who would get into a fist-fight with a silver wolf. He, who would accidently hurt you in the process.
He, who could only stop and stare as your body leaked the red liquid. He, who tried to gather his courage to apologize, but never could. He, who waited too long.
And you, who waited for him.
You, who waited for him to come around you again. You, who was willing to accept him back no matter what.
The lovers that went wrong.
The sad thing about the world is that time is unforgiving. Never stopping for anything.
You, who finally moved on after waiting too long.
He, who finally was ready to go back. Go back to the way it was.
But time is unforgiving.
You, who felt anger when he finally showed up.
Him, who felt pain and regret when he saw the anger flicker on your face.
You, who shouted a flood of words at him.
Him, who took it. Bringing it home with him after you told him to leave.
A flood that wrecked him.
And you caused it.
Unknowingly.
It slowly built itself around him, moving upwards to swallow him whole until it finally reached up and suffocated him. It stole the air from his lungs and weighed his body down. Tears he tried to shed no longer existed underneath the flood that encased him.
And He–who has been forgotten. By You–who has been living, moving, and existing.
Both of you–a silhouette.
Him–a blank, lifeless face that you’ve slowly forgotten in life’s past.
You–a star that shone brightly, even in the darkest of crowds.
Ringing in his head.
When you broke his chest.
And if you’re in love, then you are the lucky one.
He only gazes on from a distance, bitter at the feeling that longs in his chest as he watches you take hold of someone. Eyes damp and red-rimmed from the countless hours and days thinking and dreaming about you.
Forever missing you.
Tumblr media
Eunho: This Is What Autumn Feels Like
You were his first love, warm and bright as the summer sun. You shone with such force, burning his skin. He wanted to be by your side, smiling alongside your antics. Your laugh blended in with the breeze as it swept through windchimes, mesmerizing him into a trance.
Eunho wished the summer would never end.
But when the seasons change, summer will turn into fall.
Then you’ll leave and you would be gone.
He wished he could see you during every season. He wanted to see you radiate underneath the spring rays, glow with the soft autumn light, and dazzle him among a flurry of sparkling snowflakes.
He did the best he could, making up for lost time with as many events as possible. Bike rides up and down the mountain, ice cream dates along the river, and walks at the nearest park. But none of it could help his lovesick anxiety as the days turned shorter and shorter.
He couldn’t help but stare lovingly at you as you talked animatedly about your day with him or show him something you both would like. His love had grown every summer you had appeared and eventually, he felt his feelings burst.
He would tell you the next summer about his feelings, standing at the bridge you two would meet on the very first day of summer. You would stare at him, cheeks flushed and eyes wide.
But you rejected him. You knew him as someone who you only saw during the summer and the life you lived elsewhere already had someone in your life.
He understood. He really did.
But his heart could not accept it.
The two of you would still hang out during the summer and keep in touch as the years go on. For Eunho, his love lasted years–never yielding to the seasons he saw you come and go.
Like the trees in the autumn breeze
It’s ironic the way that you leave.
Tumblr media
Hamin: So Beautiful
He’s had his sights on you since you’ve met.
You had both met each other at the meet-up that Yejun had invited him to. When Yejun waved him over, he was almost blinded by the two angels that sat next to each other, a kind smile on both faces.
So beautiful.
You greeted him, excited and nervous at the new acquaintance. Yejun had only good things to say about his maknae and you couldn't wait to meet him. He seemed nervous when he hurried over to the table you were occupying, but after talking some more you slowly opened him up.
He had hoped to become close friends with you after you met. You both texted each other frequently. You hung out whenever you both had some free time. Hamin didn’t mean for his feelings to brew in his chest. He didn’t mean for his hopes to become needs and wants.
You both went out to drink one night and found it was raining as you were leaving the bar. You both frowned at this, knowing it wasn’t supposed to rain that night. Not wanting him to walk home in the weather, you offered him to stay at your place.
You didn’t pay it any mind since logic evaded your brain, knowing yourself that it was a nice and innocent gesture.
But he did not think that.
His heart began to beat and his stomach did flips. You were both drunk and you didn’t understand what might happen.
All he could do was agree.
Of course, it was all cleared up when you explained excitedly that you’ve always wanted to have a sleepover with someone again. He could feel his heart drop, but he was still happy to be around you more.
You were both soaked with rain as you entered your apartment. You let him use the shower first, grabbing a change of clothes for the both of you.
He noticed that something was different when he stepped into the bathroom. There were different products lined against the tub and counter space. He had an inkling what it might be, but he was too distracted with the overwhelming smell of you.
When he got out of the shower, he noticed a fresh pair of clothes waiting for you. As he put them on, a familiar scent reached his senses.
He knew this scent.
He recognized this sweater.
His throat felt tight, his heart jumping into it, and he tried to swallow it down. He drunkenly stumbled into the living room, where you were setting down some snacks.
“Oh, thank god they fit you!” You jumped up and down at the sight of Hamin in Yejun’s clothes. “I was worried that it wouldn’t.”
Hamin smiled at your enthusiasm, but his heart only clenched in his chest. He could only collapse on your couch after you had left to take your own shower. So it was true. You and Yejun were together.
It’s understandable why you were with him.
Nam Yejun was also an angel. He was a strong leader to everyone around him, kind, and soft-spoken. Hamin almost fell for him if you hadn't come around.
When you got back, you sat down next to him and agreed on a movie to watch. You were both still feeling the effects of the alcohol and cuddled close when one or the other began to fall asleep.
Hamin felt wide awake when you fell into a deep slumber. He stared at your face as the movie played, tracing the outline of your nose and the curves of your mouth.
So beautiful.
His thoughts began to blur and run wild as he stared at you.
My love is turning kinda gray. His heart clenched again at the thought.
His love burned inside him. The thought of you choosing someone else tore him apart. But He didn't mind. My heart is looking the other way.
A flawless ending.
So beautiful.

Payday
fandom: PLAVE pairings: various x reader genre: fluff word count: between 300 to 800 words prompt: what do you think they will splurge on and how will you, their gf, react to it
Tumblr media
Ever since you moved in with them, you would work on the budget for the both of you. Always the stickler when it comes to deals and sales. But that’s how it is when you both have jobs and bills to pay.
It didn’t help that your partner is a maniac for buying things. Certain things.
Tumblr media
Yejun: Treating you/anyone
One night as you were brushing your teeth, you heard the doorbell to your front door chime. You glanced at your phone, noting how late it was. You weren't expecting anyone and you didn't order any food.
Padding over to the door, you buzzed your intercom and greeted the person at your door.
"Aah, noona!" Bamby's crackled on the other side. "Could you open the door? Your boyfriend went a little overboard tonight."
It suddenly dawned on you. VLAST held a small party after a successful concert and invited the team out to drink and eat. Yejun had told you before, but it must have slipped your mind that it was today.
You rushed to throw on some slippers and grab your keys before booking it to the front of your apartment. When you reached the bottom of the stairs, you saw all five members sitting in the atrium.
Yejun and Noah leaned against each other as the other three tried their best to keep them upright. Hamin was offering Bamby his water bottle, the pink members skin the same color as his hair.
You hurried over, calling them as you did. Eunho waved back at you eagerly and grabbed you by the shoulders to lead you to Yejun.
"Sorry noona," Hamin bowed to you timidly. "Yejun-hyung just kept buying us drinks and then…"
You looked down at your boyfriend, his face in a content smile. In his arms were bags and wrapped boxes. You were confused why had bought so much stuff and bent down to his level.
"Yejuun…" you called, gently holding his hand. "It's me. Are you ready to go?"
Yejun opened his eyes, his smile staying in place. "Aaah, it's my honeey!"
He nudged Noah awake as he tugged at your hand. "Noaah-yaah! Look, it's my beautiful giirlfriieend~!"
Noah grunted a greeting at you and then slowly leaned towards Hamin, resting against the taller one's side.
"Can we leave him here with you, noona?" Bamby swayed as he spoke to you. "We still have to bring Noah-hyung home."
"Yeah, thank you for taking care of him until now." You bowed towards them. They returned the gesture and you saw them off as they exited the building.
After they left, you helped Yejun up and took him to the elevator. He refused to give you the bags and you had to struggle to hold him up. Once inside your apartment, Yejun peppered you with kisses and finally set the bags down.
"Waaah, I missed yooou." He whined as he held onto you. You could smell the alcohol in his breath and you chuckled at his antics. Yejun hadn't gotten this drunk since he had asked you out, so it was funny to see him like this.
“I missed you too,” You kissed his cheek and led him over to the couch, gently helping him down as he sat. “Do you want some water? Are you hungry?”
“Mm, can I have a piece of you?”
“You cheeky siren,” You chuckled, kissing him once before going into the kitchen. “Only for dessert.”
You got him a tall glass of water and set a plate down assorted with crackers and cookies. You eyed the bags still littered across the doorstep. They were all branded with designer brands and the wrapping paper looked expensive. Glaring at them, you went over and grabbed the handles to bring them over to the living room.
“Yejun, what did you buy?” You kept your voice light, trying not to sound angry as you glared even harder at the contents inside.
“I wanted to express my gratitude to my brothers and friends, so I bought all kinds of stuff!” Yejun scooted down onto the floor and began to dig around between the bags and boxes. He began to drunkenly pile the boxes for a different person and then once he was done, thrusted a giant bag towards you. “For you!”
You smiled, worried about the contents inside, and took it gingerly.
“Yejun,” You softly called, setting the bag down. “I love you and I'm sure everyone will love the gifts you bought, but you should be more careful with how much you spend. Did you forget that we’re on a budget to go on a trip with your parents?”
“I remember!” Yejun shook his head. He took your hands and lifted them to your face, nuzzling his cheek against your palm. “I just wanted to thank everyone properly.”
“I know, but make sure to call or text me next time. Then I can help you too!”
Yejun went silent for a moment and then reluctantly bobbed his head. You rewarded him with some kisses and then got him ready for bed.
In the morning, Yejun apologized profusely and promised he would never do that again.
Tumblr media
Noah: workout memberships/equipment/ROLEX
You were at home when you heard the front door open. Looking up from your book, you watched as your boyfriend made a beeline to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water. His hair was hidden underneath a black beanie and his sweater that he wore earlier was now wrapped around his waist.
"Welcome back~!" You call from the living room. You set your book down on the coffee table and made a move to get up, but was surprised to see Noah already standing next to you.
You quickly got up to greet him and was met with a warm hug. You squirm in his arms, complaining about how sweaty he was, but you accepted the hug anyway. You kissed his neck once, tasting the salt of his skin on your lips.
"How was your workout?" You pull away, straightening your shirt as you did. "Did Eunho join you this time?"
"Mm." Noah grinned, moving back towards the kitchen. He began to pull canisters out of the pantry and line them up on the counter. "I promised him I'd bring him some protein that I didn't want anymore and pre-workout mix too."
"...are you giving him the banana flavor?"
"Maybe."
"Hang on," you laugh and walk over to where he stood, opening the pantry again. "I have one that I don't want anymore…"
"Ah, wait!"
Your voice trailed off as you opened the cupboard, two giant bags staring down at you. You recognized the brand and turned towards Noah, a glare setting in on your face.
"Aah…I was going to tell you about that…"
"When did you buy these?" Your voice lowered several octaves, almost growling as you spoke.
Noah shivered and he raised his hands in defense. "J-just recently…"
"Han Noah," Your eyebrows furrowed deeper and you placed your hands on your hips. "What did we talk about buying expensive things?"
"Well, I-I…we…"
"We talk together first before buying them. Did you forget what happened last time?"
He smiled nervously at the memory. He had somehow convinced the team, VLAST, and the CEO himself to finally buy Rolex watches for the members. Although, he did have to dip into their savings to help. You would never let him off the hook since then.
"Now, now love." Noah mustered up as much courage as he could. "You're not hearing the whole story."
You raised an eyebrow, folding your arms across your chest. You cannot wait to hear what he had to say this time.
"I did buy a bag of this expensive protein, but the other bag was a gift from Hamin. He felt bad for hurting me that one day of training so he treated me. I didn't want to say no, so how could I refuse a precious gift?"
You stare at him with a poker face, showing no emotion as he ran through his spiel. By the end of it, you could only sigh in defeat and take a hold to his hands.
"Alright, I believe you. Sorry for getting mad so quickly."
"It's alright, sorry I bought something without telling you."
You two hug it out and Noah kisses your forehead before moving to the bedroom to take a shower. As you watched him leave, you pull out your phone and send a quick text to Hamin.
If Noah had an alibi, his benefactor better be telling the same story.

Bamby: Games
You listened to your phone ring a couple of times as you sat at the food court, waiting for your boyfriend. Groups of people went to and fro, going on about their lives as they walked past you. It’s been almost ten minutes since he last contacted you and you were growing impatient.
Bamby’s voice rang in your ear, but to your disappointment it was only his voicemail. As you dial his number again, you catch a flash of pink in your peripheral.
“Hey,” He panted, leaning against the table you sat at. “Sorry I’m late. I, uh, got distracted.”
Your anxiety melted away as you stared at him. “It’s alright, I was getting worried about you. What happened?”
You glanced down at his arm, a white bag with a familiar logo printed on the front. You quirked an eyebrow and reached for the bag.
“Oho~what do we have here?”
“Aah! Hang on—HANG ON!”
He tried to pull away from you, catching the attention of the people around you. You held on tight and laughed loudly as you pulled at the bag, peering in. Three fresh clear cases shined up at you and you knew instantly what they were.
“Did you buy the new games?!” You shriek, a wide smile appearing on your face. “Bonggu-yah, I thought you were going to wait till next paycheck?”
Bamby looked at you sheepishly, a pout paired with tinted cheeks. "The new Zelda game was on sale, how could I not buy it?"
You giggle at his cuteness and pull him in for a hug. He reluctantly hugged you back, patting your back a couple times before drawing away and intertwining your hands together.
"Let's go to that bookstore you like and I'll buy you something nice, yeah?"
"Sure, but be prepared." You squeeze his hand as you beamed up at him. "I've got a long list too."
Tumblr media
Eunho: Clothes (both)
You had just come home from your job, unlocking your mailbox to grab the mail. There were a couple of bills to remind you to pay them, a letter from your grandparents, and a package stuffed into the back of the box.
You fish it out, trying to remember if you had bought anything recently. As you close your mailbox door and lock it, you get waved over by one of the apartment managers. You suddenly felt nervous. You frantically racked your brain to make sure you paid all of this month's bills for the apartment.
As you enter the office, you were suddenly given a big bag full of packages.
“These were all left in front of the mailboxes, so I just collected these for you.”
They were all addressed to your home. No name in sight. You thanked the manager and began to lug the packages to the elevator where you took it up to your apartment.
You set the bag down to look for your keys, but the door opened before you could find them. Eunho’s giddy face greeted you, pulling you in for a hug and smattering of kisses. You laughed and tried to get out of his vice grip.
“Eu-Eunho! Hang on!” You giggled, failing to do so. “I’ve got a lot of stuff to bring in!”
Eunho suddenly stopped and looked down at your feet, seeing the bag of packages and the parcel underneath your arm.
“They’re here!”
“Huh?”
He stooped over and grabbed the bag, holding the door open for you as you walked through. He giddily led you over to the living room and grabbed a pair of scissors, chattering about how excited he was to show you what he got.
You frowned at this. What did he get this time? You remember the last time he splurged on something, he was convinced to get a Rolex to match with the other members of PLAVE. You mentally sighed at the memory. Noah really was the CEO of nos-lighting.
Patiently, you sat on the couch as you watched Eunho sit on the floor and open the packages, like a child at christmas. He began to pull out even more packaged things from the packages and reached out to grab one, the soft package limp beneath your fingers.
“Clothes?” You cocked an eyebrow at Eunho, a small smile ghosting over your face. He was a fashionista when it came to clothes and accessories, which was cute. Until he began to buy Rolex watches.
“Not just any clothes.” Eunho’s smile was infectious as he beamed up at you. “Look!”
He handed you more packages, these ones looked smaller. You traded the one in your hand for these ones and unzipped the packaging to get a look at them.
Layers of clothes piled high on your lap, all folded neatly. They all came in fall colors: red, brown, black, and orange. And the clothes were all made in your size! Looking up, you noticed that Eunho had the same colors, clothing style, and matching accessories to go with it.
“Did you–”
“We got a recent PPL with a designer brand,” Eunho shyly rubbed his neck, a blush creeping up his neck. “And I asked if I could get a matching set. They said I could, so I picked the ones I think we’d look good in.”
You looked at the chaos that was there living room now; ripped packaging strewn about the floor, jewelry and shoes set aside to avoid getting dirty, and the clothes that sat in your lap. You felt a mix of emotions go through you, but the one you couldn’t ignore was the overwhelming feeling of love for your boyfriend.
Eunho scooted closer, worried about how quiet you got. Reaching up to touch your hand, you clasped it tightly and then brought him in for a hug.
“Thank you,” You kissed the crown of his head, pulling his head close to your chest. “I love it.”
Eunho wrapped his arms around your waist and nuzzled into you in return. “Anything for you.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Tumblr media
Hamin: Food
As you get off of the bus, you get a text. Your phone blinked at you, showing your boyfriend's contact smiling at you. You bit back a smile and checked the message.
did you just get off work?? I’m nearby, so wait for me!
You giggle a little at this and snap a pic of the restaurant you were near before sending it to Hamin, taking a seat on a bench nearby. It didn’t take long before you were overshadowed by his tall looming figure.
You greeted him with a wide smile, tugging at his hands to help you up.
“Are you hungry? I haven’t eaten yet.”
“I could go for something,” You mused, taking a look around at the shops and restaurants nearby. “Are you craving anything?”
Looking back at him, Hamin gave you a knowing smile and bounced on his toes as he rocked back and forth. You sighed at this, knowing exactly what he wanted.
“Again?” You playfully shook his hands. “What is this, the sixth week you’ve eaten this?”
“But it’s so good!” He whined. “Why would someone make something so good without anyone eating it?”
You placed your hands on your hips, pulling out your famous scolding frown. Hamin pouted at this and sulkily lowered his head. You could practically see cat ears folding against his head.
“Alright,” You sighed, lacing his fingers in yours. “But this is the last time.”
He perked up at this and peppered you with kisses before hugging you. You hug him back, feeling safe within his large embrace. You both made your way to the shop down the street from your apartment.
“What should I get this time?” Hamin sang.
You giggled at his cute behavior and tugged his arm into a small hug. “Don’t you get the same thing every time anyway? Cheese ramen?”
“Sure, but I can always have some at home.”
“Sorry to break it to you, but you can’t buy any take-home ramen either.” You laugh at the incredulous look he gave you. “I’ll be watching you if you do.”

Jealousy
fandom: PLAVE pairings: various x reader genre: drama word count: roughly 1k prompt: how would they react to jealousy on their part? (NOT DATING)
a/n: hello all! I won't be posting anything next week due to the holidays. Thank you for your understanding!
Tumblr media
You were always popular in uni: smart, dependable, and well-liked. It was part of your job as one of the seniors. It didn’t help that you were always swarmed by admirers, boys, girls, you name it.
Tumblr media
Yejun: “Does he not know that we’re together?”
It’s always when Yejun sees you that he has questions. You were both top of your class, but he always seemed to have trouble in each subject. You scolded him when he forgot to write notes during class or skipped cram school to go play in his band.
But you didn’t mind. He has always been kind to you and you couldn’t help but soften at his sweet face and voice. He would have an endless amount of questions, ones that you couldn’t fit in a whole study period. So he invited you out to cafe’s on the weekend.
You would both meet at your favorite shop, always sitting in the same spot and ordering the same thing everytime. It would become a regular meeting and you both agreed to meet at the same time and spot for the rest of the semester. The employees basically knew what you both wanted as soon as you sat down, bringing over the regulars and giving their greetings.
It was a simple rhythm and melody throughout the semester. You both got to know each other and even frequented each other's clubs when you both had time. You would always be the first one Yejun called when the band he was in made it to first place in a band tournament against the other schools and Yejun was the first to know when you told him any good news as well.
It was a simple rhythm and melody.
Until a chorus of dissonance appeared.
Yejun was running late and you impatiently watched streams of rainfall on the windows outside. You could only become anxious from how late he was. Was he in an accident?
“Hey sunbaenim!”
You eagerly looked up, thinking it was Yejun. But to your disappointment, it was Jung from the science department. You greeted him, trying to hide your disappointment. He slid into the seat across from you. Yejun’s seat.
He struck up a conversation with you; asking about the current class you were both in, what kind of drink you were consuming, what your plans were for the day. You would politely reply and chat with him, but you couldn’t help but feel a knot in your stomach growing.
Eventually, Jung left and you checked your phone, hoping to see anything from Yejun.
Five text messages and one missed call. You felt your stomach flip and you frowned, shakily swiping your lockscreen away.
Yejun had gotten stuck in the subway and couldn’t get out for an hour. His friend was giving him a ride and should be there soon. You checked the time. He should be arriving at any second.
As if on cue, Yejun walked up to the table and sat down across from you. He breathed an apology, setting down a cup of your favorite drink and the new seasonal cake. You felt your shoulders relax and you smiled brightly at him, waving his apology away.
You began to dig inside your bag for the notes he needed to copy, happy to finally see him safe and sound. If you had looked up, you would have seen Yejun’s face had turned cold, eyes sweeping the cafe.
When you turned back to him, his usual demeanor went back to normal. An easy smile appeared when he looked at you.
Yejun was late again and The dissonance appeared.
This happened a total of three times. And each time, Yejun would catch Jung in the act of trying to flirt with you. He would always hang back, watching if Jung would do something. Anything.
And when it happened, Yejun would step in.
The fourth time Jung approached you, he tried to take your phone from you. You had protested, pulling your hand back. But he insisted and grabbed at your wrist. You could feel a certain emotion coming from Jung when he did.
You felt sick and the look in his eyes made you coil back in fear. You tried to jerk away, but his grip was too strong.
“Ah, so that’s where you are.” A soft voice rang out. “I thought we were meeting in the library today.”
You looked up to see Yejun standing at the table, a cold smile in place instead of his warm one. Jung released your hand, standing up to greet his older classmen. But was ignored as Yejun gently helped you get your stuff.
Yejun ignored Jung all the way up until he had guided you to the door. He turned towards Jung, glaring an icy stare into his soul.
No one could lay a hand on you like that.
He led you to the park and the two of you sat at one of the benches, breathing in the fresh air. Your hands were shaking as you replayed the scene in your head over and over. What could you have done to de-escalate that? What had you done or said to have him do that to you?
You felt Yejun’s clasp of your own and you instinctively leaned into his warmth.
“Are you alright?” His voice sounded husky in your ear as he came closer, your heart squeezing inside your chest. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there sooner.”
You shook your head and put the blame on Jung since he was pushy, even from the beginning.
You heard Yejun’s tongue click and he muttered, “Does he not know that we’re together?”
You froze, your heart beating out of your chest. The adrenaline must be making you go delusional as you sat there thinking about it, you slowly turned towards the blue man with a confused look on your face.
“...how could he know,” You breathed, waiting for him to stop you. “If you weren’t there with me?”
He stared back at you, his lips slightly parted. Before he could utter another word, you jumped back in.
“I mean, we’ve been study partners for the whole semester. We’ve been together since day one. He didn’t seem to notice that at all.”
You try to crack a whimsical smile, hoping to break the tension between you two. It seemed to work as Yejun smiled and chuckled a bit.
“That’s true. I’m always late–so how could he know?”
After that day, Yejun moved the meeting place to corresponding places depending on the season and weather. You both didn’t want that happening again.
But after that day, the two of you somehow became closer. You would share a small cake, hold hands outside, and even opted for a hug when needed.
Both of you oblivious to the fact that you held feelings for each other.
Tumblr media
Noah: They knew that Noah was definitely keeping you all to himself.
Whenever you get busy with helping others, Noah somehow appears. He helps you with the extra tasks and treats you when you both stay late. Afterwards, he’d always ask for compensation. You would always pout and complain, but you would think it’s only fair if he’s helped you this much.
He’d ask you to help complete a game, help spot him at the gym, or go to a new cafe or shop when he bought one too many tickets. You thought it was easy enough, but then you began to hear the rumors.
Was the prince of the school, Han Noah, dating you, the top prefect? You had to put the rumors to rest, trying not to ruin Noah’s love life. You knew that there were others who lined up in droves to get a glimpse of the prince and hoped to catch his attention.
But you and Noah were just friends.
From all that time together, you had felt something but you pushed it down, thinking Noah didn’t feel the same.
So you threw yourself into your school work, helping other students and teachers as the semester went on. Noah still offered to help, but you turned him down as much as possible with simple excuses that you knew he couldn’t refuse.
I already finished most of the work–don’t you have band practice today?
One of the other prefects has already asked to help me, so I’ll be alright.
Sorry, I have cram school. I won’t be able to do much as of late.
I thought I heard that Yejun and Hamin were asking for you. Don’t keep them waiting and go!
This went on for a while and the rumors eventually died down. You knew that Noah had a kind heart, but sometimes people can really misunderstand his intentions. Eventually, you let Noah hang out with you again. He almost seemed perkier when you called for him in the hallways and in public.
“Sunbaenim!”
You heard your name being called from down the hallway and you looked over to see a group of freshmen waving at you. You waved back at them, giving them a smile. They asked if you were busy–they needed help with a project that was due soon.
You could only give them an apologetic smile and hasty apology. You had plans with Noah–but you didn’t want to tell them that.
As if he was summoned telepathically, you turned to see the prince himself. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders, a wide smile on his face.
“Ready? I’ve been waiting for you for almost 20 minutes!”
“Of course I am! Greet your hoobae’s properly next time!”
You fluttered your fingers under his arm, tickling him as punishment. He bent over, quickly retracting his arm as he laughed loudly.
With a quick wave of his arm and smile to the underclassman, he spun you around and began to push you towards the exit. “Alright~, Alright~! Let’s go already!”
You hid your face in your hair, biting your lips from smiling too wide and willing your cheeks to stop burning.
If only you could see Noah’s face as he stuck his tongue out and smiled cheekily at the others. They knew that Noah was definitely keeping you all to himself.
Tumblr media
Bamby: “Wait, why would you be jealous?”
You worked with various departments as one of the school’s top prefects and one of them had to do with a certain pink-haired gremlin. You would always run into him at social events and in the cafeteria, but you were sought out by him during any exam or test coming up.
He would come by, backpack strapped to the front of him with papers and books sticking out from the unzipped pocket.
“Sunbaenim–I need you!”
You used to be taken aback when he said this, but nowadays it’s a common occurrence. You’d watch the clock the day before exam day and then expectedly watch the door open with Bamby huffing and puffing from the sprint.
This time, you were surprised to see Bamby come in tow with four others trailing behind him.
You could hear them before you saw them, but you thought it was the soccer team passing by. The five of them piled in the room, Bamby’s ears burning underneath his hair as he muttered the usual phrase when he came to visit you.
You chuckled at his sudden shyness and instructed them to pull the tables together so they could study. They were all stuck on different subjects and each had questions for you as you went around the table. You were confident that Yejun and Hamin were solid in most subjects–they just needed a refresher in some of their notes. And Noah was fine as long as remembered certain math equations.
But it was the other two you were worried about.
Bamby was usually fast to the uptake with his subjects, but he kept bickering with Eunho for no good reason. Eunho would casually say something before Bamby would retaliate. Physically and with his sharp tongue.
You felt like you were suddenly taking care of children in grade school. Eventually, you decided to break up the study group after Eunho leaned too close to Bamby and he nailed him in the stomach for it.
The other four left, Hamin taking Eunho to the nurse, leaving you and Bamby alone to pack the rest of your stuff. You eyed Bamby and tried to come up with a way to start talking to him.
“How come you were so aggressive today?” The words spilled from your mouth before you could realize it.
Bamby’s motions slowed and kept his back to you as he zipped up the bag. The room was silent until you heard him mutter something.
“Huh? I didn’t hear you.” You stepped closer to him, hoping to hear him this time.
“...didn’t like it.”
“Bonggu please, I can’t–”
“I said, I’m annoyed that you were so close and I didn’t like it!”
His sudden shout startled you and you stared at him with wide eyes. So close? You were too close? You took a couple of steps back to give him space, but he had noticed and he pulled his lips into a pout.
“I didn’t mean me.” He closed the distance that you had given him. “I meant the others.”
You stared at him, eyebrows furrowed as you tried to think of why. You were close to them when you were teaching them, pointing out problems and marking things on their papers when they didn’t understand.
Then it dawned on you.
“Are you jealous?”
Bamby’s face went through a series of emotions before resting back on his poker face.
“No, I’m not!” The side of his mouth twitched.
You smiled at this. Bingo.
“Oh, you really are jealous!” You laughed, leaning against a desk for support. The thought of Bamby being jealous was too rich. Your laughter died down and your smile faded. But…
“Wait, why would you be jealous?”
You looked back at him, your face scrunched up again in confusion. If you put the broken pieces together and completed the puzzle, then–
Bamby’s face was almost comical as you looked at him. His eyes and mouth open in an ‘o’ shape. The color of his face went from a healthy pink to a stark white to a blazing red. You felt your own face heat up and before you could say anything else to him, he grabbed his bag and zipped out of the classroom.
Tumblr media
Eunho: "Jealous? Me? Pff. Never.”
Even when you had time to help others with your studies, you did your best to participate in an athletic club or event after school. You had a lot of fun, but had to drop out halfway through the semester since you couldn’t handle juggling everything all at once.
You made a lot of friends when you participated, gaining popularity with the sports clubs and student senate as you advocated for both. But when you had to drop out, a lot of the athletic students still visited you when you held study sessions in school.
Eunho was a regular who you had met during the relay event in the beginning of the year. He was snarky, whitty, and a rizzler with anyone who approached him. But he still seemed to hang onto you when you would leave for your next class or study session.
He would always swing by with a drink in hand, promptly telling you why each drink was perfect for you.
This strawberry milk is perfect for someone as sweet as you.
I always seem to buy you a drink, but I’m always so jealous when I watch you drink it.
So you like tea? Is it because you're pre-tea?
This would go on for days on end and you would always scoff at those horrible pick up lines. You didn’t mind them, but you shouldn’t be hearing these things so frequently with how his ‘rizz’ game was.
On a day when you were having a study session with a small group, Eunho called out for you only to stop, staring at the person sitting next to you.
“Noah-hyung, what’re you doing here?”
The blonde waved at him, gesturing at his workbook that he was working on. “Homework for the next class. I forgot to do it last night, so I'm doing it now.”
You looked between the two of them, confused about what was happening. It felt like the air was electrified–in a bad way. You watched as Eunho set two drinks down, one for you and one for him, zipping a bad pick-up line your way. This prompted an eye-roll and you continued to focus on your work until someone had a question.
You weren’t paying attention, but a certain someone was. Eunho watched you lean over Noah, speaking softly as you explained the question and answer to him. Your hands brushed up against his, grabbing his pencil from his hand while you marked his page. You were too close for comfort. His comfort.
He watched you silently and when the bell rang, he stayed behind as you collected scrapes of workpaper from the tables. You had noticed how silent he was and frowned at his mood. What was his problem? He didn’t work on anything. All he did was glare at you.
“Ok,” You stood in front of him, hands on your hips. “What’s wrong? You didn’t take out a single notebook or work on anything. Are you jealous that I didn’t work with you alone today?”
Eunho’s mouth flapped open and closed before he returned the gesture: arms crossed against his chest and he turned his face away from you.
“Jealous? Me? Pff. Never.”
You frown. “Well, that’s what it looks like to me. Next time, do some actual work or request a private study time. Don’t waste your time like that again.”
You grabbed your bag and stomped out of the room, a scowl on your face. Eunho watched your retreating figure before burying his head in his arms. How was he supposed to know that he could request a private study time? If he did, he would have asked you out sooner rather than later!
Tumblr media
Hamin: “You look upset.  What’s wrong?”
Out of all the freshmen this year, only one tall hoobae caught your eye. Yu Hamin was quiet and worked by himself at the study sessions.
You made sure he was taken care of, asking if he had any questions or problems he needed help with and he would always stare at you.
Of course, it wasn't always like that.
After two weeks of the semester, he started to talk to you more. Usually it was about certain classes but eventually he began to talk about daily life. He was in the music club and a band with other member scouts recognized from your other classes.
It must be them who cracked open the introverts shell. Soon you found yourself an affectionate hoobae who would ask and call for you when he couldn't find you.
Exams were starting to pick up and you were busier than usual helping the other student helpers teach subjects to struggling students. Hamin would sit at his usual desk and finish his work but would pout whenever you had the chance to talk to him.
"You look upset.  What’s wrong?” You had asked when the study session was wrapping up. You finally had some time to help him.
"I thought noona was going to help me earlier but everyone was hogging you."
You giggles at his whiny outburst, reaching to ruffle his hair. "Don't worry, I'll make it up to you. How about we go to that ramen place down the block? They're having a deal right now."
Hamin's mood instantly perked up and you could basically see the ears and tail appear on him.

Even After That...
fandom: PLAVE pairing: Yu Hamin x reader genre: angst word count: 5.2k prompt: "I want you back..."
~ Yejun ~ Noah ~ Bamby ~ Eunho ~
Tumblr media
Something was haunting him. Wherever he went, there were glimpses and shadows. He wasn’t sure if he was seeing things, but the air always became heavy when it was nearby.
It first happened when he tried to help Noah.
Tumblr media
When he first came to his World, he was embraced by the older man. Clothed in garments similar to a mage and breathed magic, Noah sobbed loudly into his chest while babbled nonstop. After prying the big baby off of him, Hamin learned that Noah had a friend who looked just like him.
“You have the same name too.” Noah sniffed, rubbing his nose. “Are you from another universe?”
Hamin found that impossible since his Story felt incomplete. His home was made out of data and code, alongside the faceless people who monotonously went on about their day. But at the moment, anything felt possible.
After jumping through the rift, Hamin found that they were stuck and even worse, the World was becoming smaller and smaller by the day. No matter how long Noah tried to use magic to restore the World's balance, there was no helping it.
Just like his own World, something was destroying Caelum.
Hamin quickly tried retrieving data from the World. It's not difficult, but the World can be unpredictable. He had already been chased by multiple animals and got lost in the forest. What else could happen?
A scream resonated within the area Hamin was in, sending shivers down his spine. Almost all of the humans within this World had already disappeared, except for Noah. Was it an animal?
Regardless of what it was, he had to go check.
Bounding through the underbrush, Hamin was shadowed by a giant digital mass. It loomed over him and its screech was high-pitched, vibrating the air. He spotted a cloaked figure lying beneath it and his determination was set a-new. Quickly, he fought the malware off and once he was sure that it wouldn’t form again, he rummaged around for the corrupted core.
It hadn’t revealed itself when he beat it down, which was concerning. More shrieks in the distance erupted. There were more? Hamin let the displeasure on his face show. There wasn’t a peaceful day in Noah's World.
Picking the inconspicuous figure up, he hurried back to the barrier set around the castle. Noah was waiting for him in the garden.
“Where have you been? I thought you were getting–” He stopped once he saw the figure in his arms. “Wha–who? There’s still people around?!”
“I thought so too, but we should check them over.” Hamin tried to peer underneath the hood, but couldn’t see within the dark. “They might not be here for long.”
That’s what he said, but he was surprised to find what he was looking at.
After a long trek to the library, Noah instructed Hamin to use any of the tables and desk as a makeshift bed to use. Hamin caught a glimpse of something shining underneath the depths of the cloak and he gently pried the cloth back to take a look.
The person’s body was made of dust. Specifically, they looked like an animated mannequin made out of sand. Their face was crafted to make it look like they were sleeping and their clothes were etched into their body.
Noah couldn’t help but stare down at the body, before speaking.
“Where did you get this?”
Hamin was still, watching Noah with calculated eyes. Noah’s face was tight, a scowl replacing his usual smile.
“Hyung, what do you mean? I found them.” Hamin asked slowly. “Do…you know them?”
Noah flinched. So he did.
Hamin opened his mouth to confront him, but the ‘mannequin’ suddenly began to move. They sat up, raising a hand to hold their head, and then turned to face them. Hamin held his breath. Although they were awake, their face remained unchanged from being in a slumber.
“AH!” They jumped down from the wooden desk it laid on and grabbed at the hood to pull it over their face. It hesitated before trying to sprint to the door.
“No–Wait!”
Noah sprinted after them and grabbed a hold of their cloak, tugging it right off.
“NO!”
Everything went so fast that Hamin could barely comprehend what had happened. The desk was suddenly in front of the door, blocking the exit, and the ‘mannequin’ was crouched in the shadows, trying to block their face. Noah breathed hard as he tried to maintain his magic.
“Wait..please…” He gasped. “Is that…is it really you?”
The figure froze.
“Please, I–I’ve been looking for you. Where have you been? What happened? Are–”
“That’s…enough…Noah…” Slowly, the figure stood up and stepped into the light.
Hamin could see them clearly now. They were dressed in royal garb, but pieces were missing. The light made it look like their material body was shifting. He felt a few prickles bite at his neck.
“It is…!” Noah lowered his arms, letting the magic fade from his fingertips. “I’ve been so worried. How could you disappear like that? If you hadn’t—”
“N-Noah…” They stumbled forward and fell to their knees. But not before Noah hurried to catch them.
“What’s going on?” Noah’s voice cracked. “Hold on! I can restore you!”
“No..ah…please…” They flopped around in his arms before trying to cover his mouth. Their hand passed right through them. “I–I don’t…have much time…but…”
With a bright glow, a pink cube emerged from their chest.
“That’s…!” Noah gasped.
“A Restore Point.” Hamin finished.
“I…had to find it…complete it…before…it was…too late…” They used their faintly glowing hand to guide it to Noah’s own chest. “And now…I can finally…give it to you…”
Noah looked at them and Hamin felt his skin bristle. “Wait–Noah-hyung!”
“Without…regrets…”
With one push, the cube was pushed into Noah’s chest.
Noah’s body pulsed and a bright light erupted from the sky. A rift was opened, revealing a deep blue and purple ocean from afar. Hamin couldn’t believe it. A successful rift was made and it didn’t look like it was going to close anytime soon. He turned back to the pair, only to see Hamin holding a disappearing figure.
“Noah…I’m–”
“No,” Noah grabbed at the light, focusing his magic around it. “Z-zip your mouth. I don’t want to hear anything until you’ve recovered.”
“Noah…”
“Stop–please, I’m trying to help for once.”
“Hey, I–”
“If you would just–”
“HEY, IDIOT!”
The room rang and everyone went still.
“Let me just,” They breathed, running a fading hand through Noah’s hair. “Talk to you once more, ok?”
Hamin watched as Noah nodded silently.
“Good.” They laughed. “Hey, remember when you didn’t want to get married when we were younger? Did you really dislike me that much?”
Noah shook his head, his hand shaking as he tried to grab hold of them. “...Never. I’ve loved you ever since we met.”
A soft laugh echoed in the room.
“Me too.”
~ ~
It was hard to pull Noah away from the library. He moved like a ghost and wouldn’t look away from the spot that shimmered with bright flecks of sparkles, remnants from the last remaining person from the World.
Hamin prepared their departure from this World to the next. Noah made no objections, only asking if his World would remain intact with him gone.
“With the Restore Point activated, this world is frozen in time at this moment.” Hamin said slowly.
“...And if we leave?”
“It should stay the same until we get back.”
It would be hard to notice the way Noah clutched at his chest.
With preparations done and ready, Hamin and Noah opened a portal at the edge of the sea.
Tumblr media
The next World led him to Yejun.
The world was strange, an underwater city that lived and thrived with aquatic animals. But like Noah’s World, there was no one left.
Hamin could only spot sources of code with his goggles, but they couldn’t find anyone. Noah used his magic to create a portal that led them to rooftops, but all they could find was scattered pieces of clothes and crustaceans that trailed along their feet.
“Why would the rift take us here?” Noah grumbled, shaking a purple crab that latched onto his foot. “There’s no one here.”
“The rift takes us to worlds that have at least one surviving Story.” Hamin groaned, stretching his stiff muscles. “We just have to find them.”
Noah may be older than him, but he complained more than a toddler. Hamin nudged a rock with his foot, revealing a small hole. He squinted, crouching down to examine it. There was something glowing at the bottom. The hole was narrow, barely letting him fit his wrist in, but it wasn’t as deep as he thought. Carefully, he pinched the soft object with two fingers and pulled it out.
“What did you find?” Noah jogged over to him, peering over his shoulder.
Hamin stared at the small blue orb that hung in front of his face. Upon closer inspection, there was a small figure encapsulated within the middle.
“An undine?” Noah poked the outer shell, watching it ripple.
“I thought it was a water spirit?” Hamin carefully held the orb in his palm, peering closer to get a better look. The figure’s small head slightly raised and when it met his eyes, the bubble glowed bright.
“Whoa! Huh–?”
Hamin watched as the little fairy zipped around him multiple times and then suddenly began to nuzzle against his neck and face. Just like Noah, it seemed to recognize him. It made cooing noises and warbled in a tone he couldn’t understand. But Hamin wasn’t from this World. What was going on? Was his Story intertwined with others?
“So, the Undine knows you too?” Noah held his hand up to touch the fairy and it whizzed around his wrist before letting him stroke the outer shell. Hamin could only shake his head and shrug.  The fairy hugged his cheek one last time before grabbing at his finger and began to pull him forward, indicating that he followed them.
They ran through the city streets and found themselves at a tall building. When they tried to enter the building, they found barnacles and algae blocking the entrance. The fairy let out a call and some sea creatures responded, a dolphin and a small whale. The fairy hopped on the head of the whale before pushing the two on the back of the whale.
It took them to the top of the tower, where a dome sat around its head. In the middle of it was a hatch. Was this where the Story was coming to an end? They followed the fairy through the hatch and found a lab. It was clean and very minimalist. A bed sat on one side, while a desk was set up on the other side. The walls were replaced with windows, overlooking the sky with glowing sea creatures swimming around the building.
A crash came from the other side of the room and Hamin looked over to see a man sitting on the floor. His expression was funny as his eyes and mouth were wide open, but as his mouth remained open, bubbles came forth and rose to the ceiling. Noah couldn’t help but snicker at the sight.
“Ha-Hamin…and…? No, who…who are you?” The man scrambled to get up, grabbing a hold of the closest thing to him, a snowglobe. “I thought…everyone disappeared? How did you both survive? Has the disease…?”
“Your World is falling apart then too?” Noah interrupted.
“What…yes.” The man seemed to glare at the two of them. “Of course it is! What do you think is going on?!”
“Our World’s are also falling apart. Caelum is being attacked by a…something.” Hamin stepped forward, extending his hand. “We came from other World in Caelum. I am called ‘Hamin’. We can help you.”
The man wearily looked at the two of them before setting the snow globe down and grasping his hand.
“Alright. My name is Nam Yejun.” He gave a small smile, and Hamin felt hopeful. “How did you find me? The city is too big to single me out here.”
“There was a water spirit that helped us find you.”
Yejun’s expression morphed into one of confusion. “A water spirit?”
Hamin nodded, looking over to the floating orb. “Yes. It knew that you were here.”
He watched as Yejun looked up, watching as the orb slowly drifted towards his face. It orbited his head, seemingly happy to see him, before nuzzling his cheek. The man looked to be confused by this creature but as it cuddled up to him, his eyes became vacant and his expression turned watery.
Hamin could barely hear what Yejun whispered next.
“Is it really you?”
A faint glow responded to him and the fairy chirped. Yejun carefully held the small thing closer to his face, softly sobbing as he did.
“I thought…”
He was quietly silenced as the fairy clung to his face.
“I’m sorry for interrupting,” Hamin cleared his throat. “But have you observed anything that might have changed your world recently?”
“Ah…” Yejun hastily wiped at his eyes. “Almost. I’m a doctor and I have been researching the disease that has been taking everyone. But after…the last person was taken, my research has been slow.”
“But you’re still here.” Noah questioned. “What if there was something in…your blood or something? Have you tried that?”
“Believe me, I have.” Yejun led them over to a small kitchen island, stacked with lab equipment. “I have dolphin DNA in me, but if I was left, what about the other dolphins? The disease reacts with any type of DNA, regardless of gene and blood biology.”
“At the moment, before Caelum disappears completely, we need to find a Restore Point.” Hamin crossed his arms, trying to remember the city’s map they just trekked through.
“Restore Point? You mean…?”
“Something like part of a game, yes.” Noah finished. “I didn’t understand it until recently either.”
“If we can find one, then your World can be saved.” Hamin picked himself up from the seat he was sitting in and began to walk towards the hatch.
A chirp trilled throughout the space and the three men looked to find the blue fairy circling the air. Yejun called out to it with a chirp-like noise and it began to circle him too.
“Does it know where one is?” Noah asked, leaning forward to look at the orb.
“I think so,” Yejun grabbed at it gently and led it to a table, where a map was laid out. “Where is it? Do you remember?”
The fairy circled the map once and then stopped in the middle, before doing something akin to coughing something up. Hamin noticed the flash of pink and hurried over to find that the water spirit had spit up–
“Is that…?”
“A Restore Point!” Noah exclaimed.
“Where did you find this?” Hamin asked.
The blue orb pointed to a place on the map. The building top where they found the spirit. Hamin felt incredibly lucky to have found everything in one fell swoop. A rumble shook the sky and the building began to shake. Everyone held on to something, as what felt to be an earthquake began to erupt beneath them.
“What is that?”
Hamin looked towards the direction that Noah was pointing and watched as an amalgamation of malware swarmed the darkening sky. It took the shape of a large whale, bigger than the ones they saw earlier that day. Its body pulsed and shimmered a black color and tried to swarm the building with its body.
As quickly as he could, Hamin moved across the room and tried to climb back to the hatch. He had to eliminate it before it caused more harm to this World!
“Hamin-ah, wait up!” Noah climbed up after him, trying to keep balanced as the building shook around them.
“Hyung, get back! It's dangerous!”
“That's what I should be telling you!”
As the hatch was opened, a strong breeze almost swept the two away. The storm that the malware was calling was getting worse. The malware let out a screech and another gust of wind blew their way. Hamin held on to the hatch but Noah wasn't fast enough. He was lifted from the roof and was about to be thrown away!
With a swipe of his arm, Hamin grabbed Noah’s flailing hand. A pulse traveled down his arm and for a moment, Hamin watched something flash in his memory. A kingdom, thriving magic, and…someone.
He understood.
With one pull, he brought Noah close and they held onto each other.
“Noah-hyung! I get it! I can use it!”
“Huh--What?!” The confusion on Noah's face was priceless. “What can you use?!”
“That spell!”
Noah understood as he carefully examined Hamin's face and with a nod, the two of them began to use light to draw a circle of runes. The copied magic that flowed through Hamin's body felt strange, but also familiar. It was almost like he had always known, but couldn't remember.
Another screech vibrated for a moment, but then stopped. Hamin looked over to see another figure beside them. Yejun and the water spirit stood next to them, arms upwards in using their own magic power to still the malware in a water prison.
Without hesitating, Hamin and Noah used ‘Purifying Light’ to bore a hole through the giant malware. Hamin watched as it dissipated into the sky and faded from this World. A wave of exhaustion flooded his body and he felt himself collapse against Noah. It became painful afterwards and his muscles wouldn't move an inch. Yejun began to treat the two of them, using his water power to soothe the body.
The World was saved and now they had to use the Restore Point.
“Yejun-hyung,” Hamin croaked, clearing his throat quickly. “Where's the ‘restore point’?”
“Ah, here.” Yejun pulled it out of his pocket, but before he could hand it to Hamin, a flash of blue snatched it from his hand.
The water spirit held onto the cube, refusing to go near the group.
“Hey! What's the matter with you?” Noah groaned from where he laid. “We just saved your World! We need that!”
Yejun carefully approached the blue orb. “...Is something the matter?”
The water spirit looked in between the three and then drifted towards Yejun slowly. It chirped towards him and for a moment, Hamin saw Yejun's face change into a dark expression. He couldn't help but shiver.
“Wait, you can't–”
In a moment, a bright light streaked the sky and a pulse of air went through Yejun.
The sky became bright and bright bubbles decorated it in streams. The sea creatures in the city began to sing woeful songs as they watched the bubbles rise, sad to watch the world go. Hamin looked over to Yejun, watching tears flood down his face as the glowing blue spirit disappeared in a stream of bubbles.
Tumblr media
The next World was dark, neon signs painting the buildings and sidewalks to the city. No matter how long they stayed, the concept of daylight did not exist in this World. They had traveled for what seemed like days, dodging the sights of static monsters and sleeping on shadowed rooftops. During that time, Hamin tried to collect his thoughts. First that moving mannequin and then the water spirit. Something was connecting him to these people. Both Yejun and Noah seemed to know him, but on the other hand, they also recognized each other.
They talked quietly amongst each other as they traveled, sharing stories about their Worlds. Yejun’s quiet life was described as otherworldly; his world living in an underwater atmosphere with a modern way of life. Noah’s was more of a fantasy as he could use magic and lived in medieval times. But in each other’s World, they had both existed. Hamin couldn’t make heads or tails about the situation. Was this next life going to have a version of them too?
A high-pitched screech gathered their attention and as they hid under a terrace, they watched a pink light fly by with a group of mass of static run after it in the street. It streaked up and down the city, always almost reaching the top of a building before skating down it to gather speed and zip by the amalgamation.
“Is that…?” Yejun whispered.
“It has to be.” Noah answered. “Hamin-ah, we have to go save them!”
Hamin wanted to protest, but there was no denying that this was the next person they had to save, along with their World. A loud shake made them look back to the scene and they watched the pink streak get knocked back and fly back.
“Noah!” Yejun called, thrusting his hand out to create a soft landing. Noah immediately casted a soft levitation spell on the ball and safely let it down to the ground. It was another person. He looked up, perplexed at what had just happened.
His mouth flapped up and down until words finally came out. “What–who…what’s going on?!”
“There’s no time to explain.” Hamin helped him up, dragging him to a blind spot. “We’re here to help.”
A loud roar shook the air. It was going to go on a rampage again. The pink-haired man gathered the three of them close.
“We need to try and destroy the anomaly as fast as we can. If it gets any bigger, we’ll be thrown into infested sectors below us. If you’re gonna hit it, do it hard. Its regeneration ability is slow.” A digital screen flashed and he swiped over it, creating a map of the city they were in. “I’ll try to lure it far from the bridge. Try to focus on strong offensive attacks or defensive skills.”
It didn’t take long for the group to understand the situation and they all agreed readily. Yejun focused on healing and shielding, while Hamin would tank through the front with Noah ready with duelist magic. And the newest member, Bamby, would use defensive tactics.
Another loud call signaled its attack and the four of them scattered. Noah took Yejun to the rooftops, keeping him away from danger. Hamin stuck close to Bamby, watching him grab a metal scrapped up board from the ground.
“Try to keep your attacks towards the city.” Bamby muttered. “We can’t risk falling over the edge.
And with a brisk kick of air, he shot off on the board. This meant that the fight had begun.
The pink light flickered before blazing bright. It circled the monster a couple of times to catch its attention and then began to blitz farther into the street. It worked as the monster roared and tried to crawl its way to Bamby.
Hamin jumped through the portal that Noah made and was launched into the air, to fall right on the digital monster. He channeled a will to stretch code around his leg, making an ungenerated leg gauntlet and quickly cut through a chunk of the monster's body. It screamed, waving long arms to hit the mosquito that bit it.
Hamin dodged, jumping behind Yejun’s shields as the blocks of static rolled off the transparent orb. Noah tapped his back and Hamin sprinted forward. He fought against the pulsing cubes and waves of attacks that came after it. Noah used elemental magic against it, using ice and earth to spear and freeze upcoming attacks.
The monster had a feeling that it was going to lose and began to attack blindly, hitting Bamby mid-air and Yejun’s safe spot. Hamin sprinted to Yejun’s position, catching his falling form as he did. Bamby was also caught by Noah, a shield rolling them away from any more attacks.
“This,” Noah panted. “Feels impossible. It feels like we haven’t even made a dent.”
“Well, what do you suggest?” Bamby groaned, nursing his leg as Yejun healed it.
“We need firepower!” Noah growled. “There’s no way we can–!”
A sound of a motorcycle revving caught their attention and Hamin looked over to see a red streak circling the monster before fire appeared and attacked it. It was effective to the point where the monster shrieked, collapsing on its side.
“Where did they come from?!” Noah screamed.
“Doesn’t matter.” Hamin pushed past him. “We’ll take all the help we can get.”
Hamin could practically feel the glare that Noah sent him. A portal was opened and Yejun and Bamby jumped through it. Another safe point was made and Bamby shot around the city buildings to survey the situation.
It didn’t take long for the monster to recover and it slapped down an attack that shifted the earth. Noah launched Hamin into the air, watching another flurry of attacks cut cleanly through blocks of black and grey. Meanwhile, flashes of yellow and red clashed as they attacked as well.
The size of the monster was decreasing steadily and when it was the size of a small house, they regrouped to get any healing done and optimize their plan. Hamin felt dirt and sweat plastered on his forehead and waited patiently for Yejun to dump a bubble of water on him. A splotch of pink moved in his peripheral and as he turned his head, a gray shadow sat atop of Bamby’s retreating figure.
“Look out!”
The motorcyclist pushed Bamby and a fist of digital mass landed right Bamby had been standing. This caused the group to scatter, trying to avoid the oncoming attacks. Hamin kicked away an incoming block and tried to spot the rest of the group. Yejun was providing back-up to Noah, as he casted a shield upon them. Hamin looked around, tapping his temple to activate his goggles. He couldn’t find any weak spots and the monster grew larger as it consumed its surroundings.
The ground shook and Hamin felt his skin grow hot. The spot where the man had been hit exploded and fire erupted from the ground. The man stepped out from the crater, his helmet broken with an eye visible. A redstreak flashed and rocketed towards the monster. It took less than a second before it exploded in a hot wave.
Hamin tried to shield himself behind a rusted car, trying to minimize any burns. A cooling sensation washed over him and he saw Yejun’s water shield covering his body. He spotted the pink haired man, struggling to cover himself with a metal scrap. Hamin ran towards him, grabbing him by the shoulders and wrapped him close to his body. The shield could only cover him so much, so that left him to use himself.
Fifteen seconds felt so much longer than it sounded. Hamin had shut his eyes, waiting for the heat to die down and when it did, he couldn’t help but wait for something else to happen. Was it over? Was it gone? Hamin unfurled his arms around Bamby and peeked over the metal scrap.
Where the monster was, stood the motorist. Flames decapitated from his body and after it was finally done, he fell to the ground. Bamby was the first to move. He sprinted over to the man, skidding to a halt when he reached him. Hamin followed suit and the other two walked over cautiously.
“Hey!” Bamby shook the man. “You–what’re you…you’re stupid!”
Despite the insults, he had tears flowing down his face. His fists were curled and laid on the white haired chest, unmoving. Yejun quickly began to use his healing powers to try and heal him. His eyebrows furrowed and he grunted as he pushed his hands down onto him. The injured man groaned.
“His wounds…!” Yejun growled. “They’re too severe! If I can just…!”
Hamin remembered when he had connected with Noah’s magic and without hesitating, he placed his hands over Yejuns.
A pulse. A faint memory. A calm washing sensation.
The copied power began to work within him and he pushed it back out, hoping that the healing would be doubled. The blue glow faded and the white haired man opened his eyes.
“Ugh,” He groaned. “Did we win?”
Bamby threw his arms around Eunho, sobbing as he did. “You idiot! You’re always so reckless!”
The man looked confused, patting the smallest back softly. Bamby let go after a while, struggling to wipe away the flood that escaped his eyes.
“Ah, I’m so glad to see you again, Eunho. But how did you…?”
“I’m sorry,” He interrupted. “Do I know you?”
The other three began to feel very awkward as Bamby’s face changed.
“What do you mean? It’s me, Bam–Bonggu! Don’t you remember me?”
‘Eunho’ shook his head. “I lost my memory a while ago. I’ve been trying to find out who I was before, but after everyone disappeared…”
The group was silent. It had happened to all of them. The empty World moving on while the people ceased to exist. The ground rumbled slightly and the five of them became alert once more. From the ground, two streaks spiraled into the sky. Hamin realized it was a Restore Point, but there were two?
Before he could react, the twin spears twirled back down and hit both Eunho and Bamby in the chest. The World shook once more and a bright light flashed open in the sky. Another rift. Bamby straightened himself up, ready to fight whatever else was about to attack him, but nothing came. Eunho sat on the ground, perplexed at the situation.
Tumblr media
Suddenly, a blue portal opened up beneath the group. It dropped them into another dimension. Hamin looked around the space. It was like they had entered a new dimension. The sky was filled with glittering stars and planets, shooting stars lit the sky as they passed, and the ground glowed as they walked. A soft call caught his attention, echoing in his ear. As the rest of the group explored and went on without him, he laid eyes on a figure. They stood off in the distance, dressed in white. He couldn’t decipher their features, but his heart stirred.
You smiled at him, a melancholic look softening your features. He had come so far on this journey. You remembered the look he had given as you wiped and reset his code. You made sure that it didn’t hurt. There was no future in Caelum as long as they existed. So you gave them one. His memories would never be the same. Only the ones in the present and future mattered.
You didn’t say anything, fearing that your resolve would crumble when you did. But the look in his eyes said everything to you. I will come find you.
You let out a soft chuckle, unable to hold it back any longer. Noah called out to Hamin. A portal was opening up. With one last look back, Hamin retreated to the safety of his new family. They stepped through the portal, unsure what laid ahead of them.
~ ~
In a field of flowers, you stood alone. You watched him go, the one you had to leave behind. If he ever walked your way, you knew that he would find you.
You closed your eyes, smiling at the memories you were about to leave behind.
‘Come and find me.’ You wished. ‘In a World where we can be together.’

Life and Lemons
fandom: PLAVE pairings: various x reader genre: somber to upbeat; emotive word count: 300 to 1k prompt: "When life gives you lemons, what does he do?"
Tumblr media
Life throws a lot of things at you. Hardships are hard to overcome and things can always go wrong. You’ve had your share of them, shouldering them alone and bearing the brunt of the worse.
But now things are different. You have someone you can depend on and lean on. And when you see them fall, you’re there to help.
Tumblr media
Yejun: tries to keep upbeat and positive, but it all crumbles when it finally goes wrong
It happened so fast. You don’t remember how it all started, but you remember when it all came apart.
You had met up with the members of PLAVE at a restaurant outside of the city, where not too many eyes were on you all. The night started off great; everyone was having fun and eating and drinking to their heart's content, but as the night went on you felt a pair of eyes burning into the back of your head.
You excuse yourself to go to the bathroom, but was stopped by Yejun tugging at your sleeve.
“Do you need to have someone go with you?” His cheeks were pink and his smile wide.
You couldn’t help but laugh at his question. “And do what? Watch me go? I can take care of myself!”
You stumbled into the bathroom and when you were finished, you made your way to the sink. As you lathered soap into your hands, a figure appeared behind you.
“Oh excuse me, you have a loose strand of string on you.”
You looked around to see a girl reaching out to pick a stray piece of black string off of your sweater.
"Oh, thank you." You bowed your head in thanks and rinsed your hands. As you opened the door and stepped out, you thought you heard something.
"Pesky little bitch…"
You felt your blood go cold and suddenly the alarms in your head began to ring. That person. She knows something.
You kept moving, back to your table, afraid that she might notice that you heard. Yejun noticed how pale your face was, sobering up as he did, and whispered something in Noah's ear. He nodded in agreement and got up to pay the bill.
As you approached the table, you noticed how all five of them were getting their things. Yejun handed you the coat you wore.
"What's going on?" You looked at the other four as they trudged to the door, whining and leaning on each other.
"We got full, so we thought it might be best to head back." He smiled down at you, linking arms with you and led you to the door.
"Back?" You could feel the words slur in your mouth. "Back where?"
Before Yejun could answer, you heard a voice call out.
"Excuse me!"
The two of you freeze and a look you've never seen before dawns on Yejun's face: fear.
The pieces click together and you had an inkling to what was happening. Yejun, you mouth quietly. Do you want to go?
His eyes soften at this and he softly nods. Without hesitation, you grip his arm and confidently strode toward the door. The voice gets louder as they do.
"Excuse me! Excuse me!!"
You both make it out the door and speed towards the group as they stood waiting for them down the street.
Noah notices the look on both of your faces and hurries to meet you both in the middle. He grabs both of your arms, comfortably but his muscles are tense with fear.
"Where are they?" His face uncharacteristically serious. "Are they-?"
"Yejun-oopa!"
The three of you turn to see the girl you met in the bathroom. Noah places himself between you two and the girl. Bamby and Eunho also stepped forward, placing you and Yejun in the middle of the group.
"I don't know who you are, but you need to leave." Noah warned, his phone already out and ready to dial emergency services.
“But, Noah-hyung–” The girl had tears in her eyes, her arms and hands clutched to her chest.
“Do not call me that. Please leave.” Noah growled.
You looked in between the group and the girl, who you can only deduce as a stalker. You held Yejun close, feeling him shake and shudder. Wiping your phone out, you dial emergency services, not waiting another second.
“It’s not fair!” She suddenly shouted. "I've liked Yejun-oopa since he debuted and yet, they get to be around him?!"
You tense up at the sudden turn. She was coming at you now?
"Hello, what is your emergency?" The voice called out from your phone.
Bamby heard the operator and gently took the phone from your ear, softly speaking to the person on the other side.
Now it was your turn to tremble. But not out of fear–out of anger. How could this girl assume so much of Yejun and then push herself onto him?
The more you glared at the girl, the more you received right back. Her face turned red and her face scrunched up as she glared at you.
Before anyone could do anything else, Bamby stepped forward and held out your phone in hand.
"Police are on their way. We have your photo, so you better stay put and corporate."
Within 20 minutes, the situation was resolved and Yejun told everyone the truth. Since Yejun had debuted, he had been receiving creepy letters and requests. They had a feeling who it was, but it only got worse as time went on. VLAST had sent a cease and desist and even put a restraining order. But none of it worked. Noah had known since the beginning and had been helping Yejun.
The pressure and situation had built up so much that Yejun was afraid to go out anymore, but everyone had helped him and supported him so he kept his hopes up. But everything crumbled as soon as it happened.
With all of his feelings, tears spilled from his eyes.
You watched Yejun break down and did the only thing you could do: you went up and hugged him. The others joined in too. With several pairs of arms wrapped around him, Yejun couldn't help but cry harder into your shoulder.
The next couple of weeks were tiring. The girl was put on house arrest and even more legal action was out into making Yejun safe.
And throughout the entire thing, you leant a shoulder for Yejun to support on.

Noah: keeps going, but is crestfallen
Noah sighed for the umpteenth time from across the room. You looked up from your computer, staring at him hard from your spot. He was slumped against his recording desk, head leaning on his arm as he clicked away at nothing.
Another sigh escaped his mouth.
“Alright, what happened?” You got up and leaned against his desk, arms open to receive him. “You’ve been sighing all day. Are you ok?”
He leaned into you, eyes closed and breath shaky. He stayed that way for a while, and you didn’t press him. You had a feeling of what this might be about, but you didn’t want to say anything until he tells you.
You soothed him while he recovered; rubbing his back, combing his silky hair between your fingers, planting kisses every now and then to mix things up. Eventually, he rubbed his face on your abdomen. This was a sign that he was done moping, and he was collecting himself.
“I haven’t gotten any word from any of them yet.”
Them. The music industry.
Noah had been trying so hard to sell himself to get a label or a company to back him as a solo artist, but nothing was clicking for anyone. For him. He would always joke that his place was too much since he decked it out with his own recording studio and that selling his place would be at a high price.
But you both didn’t want that.
He wanted to write and compose music, singing to his heart's content. And you wanted him to do it. It was his dream that you dreamt of. A dream you wanted him to achieve.
You rub his back again, drawing imaginary circles across his shoulders.
“I’m sure that they’re just busy,” You muse, hoping to give him any hope. “You’ve been working hard, so you can wait a little longer to get a reply. Don’t worry.”
You were right. The patience paid off in the end.
By the end of the month, Noah had received a call from Yejun, a friend who they had met earlier that year. He offered a job to Noah to be a part of a group. He would be one of the lead composers and would be offered a deal.
The two of you celebrated that night, inviting Yejun over. His dream was about to come true.
Tumblr media
Eunho: fitness
You checked the clock on your phone once again. It’s getting late and you’re getting worried.
Eunho hasn’t come home yet from his run.
Thunder clouds rolled across city lights and rumbled across the floor as you stared outside, looking for a familiar head of white. The rain began to pour, and you could only watch helplessly from inside. A streak of white passed by and you felt your heart jump.
You ran across your apartment, grabbing towels and a pair of clothes before skidding to your front door, finding yourself face to face with your boyfriend. His usually styled hair hung wet, and his clothes clung to his skin. The look in his eyes was vacant, but he was surprised to see you at the door, nonetheless.
“You’re back!” You threw a towel over his head, rubbing it as you did. “I was so worried! Where did you go? Never mind, I don’t care—I'm so glad you’re safe!”
You wrapped another towel over his shoulders and ushered him into the bathroom. You turned on the shower and watched as he went through the motions in a daze. Something must have happened. Something bad.
You gently asked him if he needed any help and he shook his head, drops of water falling from strands of hair as he did. You left to give him privacy, peeking in to see if he got in ok. You gathered all of the blankets and pillows into the living room, dumped them onto the couch, and switched the T.V. on, turning the volume low. You stopped by the bathroom door every now and then to listen for the tell-tale signs of the shower running and once it stopped, you went into the kitchen.
The sound of clicking and then a small whoosh of the stove echoed in the apartment. You poured some milk into a saucepan and waited for the liquid to start boiling. It was an odd smell to take in, but then a sweet smell wafted through the apartment. Honey was added and stirred into the pot. Once done, you brought over two hot cups with a cinnamon stick poking out from the rim of the cup.
Eunho stood at the edge of the living room, a soft gaze pointed at you. You set the cups down and gently led him over to the couch, setting him in the middle of the fabric nest.
The two of you sit in comfortable silence as you listened to the faint sound of thunder, rain, and the soft voices coming from the tv. You leaned into each other, wrapped in their own comfort and sipped on hot drinks.
“Thank you,” his voice small and quivering as he buried himself more into your arms. “It’s been...really hard lately.”
“I know,” you brushed his hair out of his eyes, stroking his forehead. “Just get some rest.”

Bamby: gets silent upset, but lets it out through work
You silently watched Bamby from across the room. He was quiet. A little too quiet. Usually, he’d come home and start chattering away about his day, throw in a complaint every now and then, and whine about dinner.
But for the past week, all he did was sit on the couch and scroll mindlessly on his phone until bedtime.
You knew what happened. Well, not technically. You know something happened, but if you bring it up, it might make him sulk more. You had gotten a text from Yejun-hyung earlier that week about Bamby. Something had happened and now he was working tirelessly until he went home.
Gathering up your courage, you walked over to the kitchen and made some popcorn. This would perk Bamby’s attention and when you were done, he would bound over and ask if he could have some. This plan was foolproof.
And it happened like that exactly. When he wrapped his arms around your waist, he popped the question.
“Did you make enough for me too?”
You chuckled and handed him his own bowl. He cheered excitedly and ran back to the couch, peppering you with questions with what movie or show you should watch. You sat next to him and watched as he scrolled through his options.
“Bonngu?” You suddenly felt nervous as you called his name.
“...yeah?” His eyes still glued to the T.V.
“Are you ok?”
“...”
He stopped scrolling, his arm falling limp into his lap. His mouth was pressed into a fine line and the silence practically echoed. You waited patiently for his reply, as you always did. He would say it when he was ready.
Finally, he shook his head. His head hung low, and you could see the tears begin to well up in his eyes.
“Do you want to talk about it?” You gently placed your hand on his. He rubbed the back of your hand for a little bit and then finally spoke.
“...not yet. Can we watch a movie first?”
You smile. “Of course, you can tell me when you’re ready.”
And as soon as the movie was over, you did.

Hamin: works harder/overworking
You could tell he was overworking himself. It was his first time working in a group together and you knew he wanted to make a good impression. But you were worried.
He keeps insisting that he needs to do his part and that he wasn’t doing enough, but from what you heard, he was doing great already! It was the last straw when he came home, almost hosting a fever.
“Haminie-ah! You need to slow down; you’re going to hurt yourself!” You tried to block him from leaving the bedroom, but his large frame only squeezed past you.
“I’m...alright,” He poured hot water into his yuja tea. “I just need to work harder.”
You clicked your tongue and furrowed your eyebrows. This stubborn boy! You reached for your phone and dialed Yejun’s phone number. He picked it up and greeted you cheerfully.
“Listen, I know you are all very busy, but can you please convince Hamin to take the day off?” You pleaded with him quietly. “He has a fever and won’t rest!”
“What are you talking about?” Yejun sounded confused on the other side. “I told him to rest two days ago—has he been coming back since then?”
Apparently, Noah and Eunho let him stay and work a little bit. Yejun and Bamby had no clue. Yejun apologized profusely and told you that they were going to take a little break due to the holidays anyway.
Soon after you ended the call with Yejun, Hamin received a text from the PLAVE group chat that they were going to take a break until after the new year. You watch Hamin deflate and trudge his way over to where you were. His eyes were rimmed red, and his cheeks were swollen. You couldn’t tell if it was because he was pouting or if it was from his fever.
“I’m sorry for making you worried.” He grumbled. “Yejun-hyung told me that you were contacting them.”
You rub his arms, guilt washing over you. “I know, I’m sorry too. I was just worried you were overworking yourself. And you did! Please be more careful next time.”
“I just...” His frowned deepened. “I want to do good—I want to impress them! I don’t want to be a burden to the team.”
“You’re already doing an amazing job!” You smiled gently at him, tugging at his hands. “The others were just boasting about you to me, so I know you are.”
Hamin let a smile crack through, and you cheered at the sight.
