The Winter Solstice is an important time of year for a lot of pagans, but its also a time riddled with secular holidays, as well as holidays from other faiths. What do you do around the Winter Solstice? What traditions do you have that are specifically pagan? #pagan #paganism #wintersolstice #rituals #neopagan #neopaganism #druid #druidry #heathen #heathenry #pagantraditions #wheeloftheyear #paganholiday #polytheism

A list of "pantheons" that are fully open (that I'm aware of):
Germanic
Slavic
Baltic
Kemetic
Hellenic
Roman
Celtic
Mesopotamian
(I might miss a few more)
Fully open means that you can right away start worshipping the divinities of your choosing without any connections to ethnicity, race, skin colour and etc.
You don't have to be "called/reach out" by a deity from these paths to start worshipping them.
All you need to have is – being respectful, having patience, being aware of and learning about the traditions/practices in these paths and love the Gods!
Obviously a path/religion being open doesn't mean you can just barge right into it being all disrespectful of and disregarding the customs of these religions and cultures that are from. (Which is pretty a obvious fact, but it's better to mention it.)
Here are subreddits where you can go learn and ask more questions about the religions I have listed:
r/heathenry
r/Rodnovery
r/BalticPaganism
r/Kemetic
r/Hellenism
r/RomanPaganism
r/Paganacht
r/Sumer
I guess a short and (very simple) post, but still. I wish y'all all the best and let the Gods guide you.
PS. In general the rule (or I guess, a pattern) of a "pantheon" being open, roughly speaking is – if a certain path has no surviving continuity to the modern times, which the ones listed don't have, (and if someone tries to convince you otherwise, you can know that they're full of shit). Worth also noting that, if you see someone talking about the necessity of being connected by "blood and soil" while talking about the paths I mentioned above, you found a nazi/"folkist", and better stay far away from them.

🔥A winter message from Inija Trinkūnienė, 2017: Tamsusis metų laikas suburia mus draugėn prie šeimos židinio, prie protėvių ugnelės. Te laimina mus mūsų Dievai ir Deivės, Inija Trinkūnienė Romuvos krivė 🔥 The dark time of the year brings us together to the family fireplace- the ancestors' fire. It is time to feel the strength of family and it is time to gather families and communities to gain the strength from our ancestors. We take strength from being together, from supporting each other and continuing the traditions of our ancestors. Let's share and give gifts, let’s shine and spread the warmth as the Sun, let us grow and prosper as our Mother Earth. We are blessed by our Gods and Goddesses, Inija Trinkūnienė The High Priestess of Romuva #inijatrinkuniene #romuva #balticpagans (at Vilnius, Lithuania) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnBKxDHLUtB/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🍁LIELVĀRDE • The epic totems of LIELVĀRDE shine in the gold gifted by nature. Lielvārde is a town in Ogre Municipality in the Vidzeme region of Latvia, on the right bank of the Daugava river, 52 km southeast of Riga. The area was a contact zone between the Finnic Livonians and the Balts, and many prehistoric artifacts have been uncovered there. A Baltic hill-fort named Lennewarden being taken in fief by Albert of Buxhoeveden in 1201 is mentioned in the Chronicle of Henry of Livonia. This site is called Dievukalns (Hill of the Gods) in Latvian. A stone castle was constructed by the Riga diocese in 1229; its ruins are still accessible today. #latvia #latvija #lielvārde #hillforts #totem #sacredgrove #balticpaganism (at Lielvārdes Pilsdrupas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CjgfDSqvPEh/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
