Oscar's wife's name is Firelia. So is Wisteria then maybe her mother? It's about a young Gortash. So maybe this was written 20 years ago if he's like 40? But then this woman was already "old". Maybe her grandmother or an aunt?

But nevertheless. We are not alone for the thirst after Enver Gortash. xD Btw does anyone know how he came to the name "Gortash" as his parents are called Flymm?

What do you think it says about me that I shoved all the other, conventionally attractive love interests out of the way to romance the emperor in my first playthrough of bg3? Astarion was originally my first choice, but as soon as I realized I could have the emperor, I dropped him like a sack of rocks, gave into the illithid powers, and finally transformed myself fully.

Something about being aroace, I guess. Finding comfort in the monstrous, loving the monster. It appeals to me in a way that's hard to explain. I think part of it is definitely feeling like a monster myself, being treated like I'm incapable of love because I don't desire romance or sex. Seeing myself in the monster, being told I'm still capable of love and of being loved. Even though it's told through a romance, there's still comfort there in knowing that no matter how monstrous you may appear, someone out there will still love you.

Spoilers for baldurs gate 3 below the cut! There’s a connection I made and I’m curious if anyone sees it too or if I’m crazy! Regards the Guardian.

Okay, last warning. This is a spoiler for who “The Guardian” is.

Okay so the Guardian is a Mindflayer known as The Emperor, and their outfit is a little unique from other Mindflayers because they have that big collar type thing that sticks way up in the back. I haven’t seen that on anyone else aside from them.

I was starting up my second character after finishing my first play through and I noticed the Mindflayer in the opening cinematic, the same one that gives you the tadpole to start with, looks like the Emperor. I was the living embodiment of the shocked pikachu face. Because I just realized what that Squidward wannabe meant when we had a conversation about how they manipulated events to make sure they had allies to fight The Absolute. I seriously that they were just referencing how they changed their appearance, the way they appeared as however you made the Guardian to look when you first meet in order to appear in a form that was more trustworthy. Didnt realize the mother fucker was trying to say they gave you the tadpole at the start and flew the ship through Baldurs gate to snag more people (grabbing your companions or player character depending on your own personal lore).

I haven’t gone through the Nautoloid fully for my second character as of making this post, but I’m willing to bet the Mindflayer that’s fighting off that demon at the end and the one you’re staring at before you got tossed out of the ship is also the Emperor.

I’m not gonna feel guilty about being hostile and untrusting with the Emperor on this second play through. First time through I was understanding and friendly with them (AND YES I FUCKED HIM TOO I WAS CURIOUS OKAY).

So am I just stupid and y’all realized that the moment our “guardian” revealed their true form ? Or are you just now realizing this too?

Edit: the more I think about it the more silly I feel for not making the connection the first time around lol. So I’m saying my first character was just as oblivious as I was. And my second character is gonna see Emperor and “go wait a minute. I clearly remember you putting a parasite into my eye, fuck you”
