Barefoot Boot
The History and Evolution of Footwear
Feet have carried people through life without additional support for thousands of years. For centuries, solutions have been developed for feet. These needs have been designed according to living conditions and have reached the present day.
However, today, shoes have also started to be used as an accessory, though they are still a necessity.
The Importance of Foot Health
Foot health has a great impact on every function of our body. When we prefer shoes that restrict the range of motion, we feel the pain caused by foot pain all over our body.
During movement, there is kinetic energy that extends from our toes to our legs, hips, and spine to our upper body. When we think of all our organs as a link in the chain, the combination of weight at a single point will bring health problems.
The health of our feet, which is the area where we bear most of our body weight, is very important. If we prefer products that mask our foot health, knee pain and back and shoulder pain are inevitable. For this reason, the content of the product used is very important in foot health.

if ur (much) shorter than bokuto he'll bend down to ur height just to see what it's like and be genuinely shocked + concerned because Why didn't u tell him u couldn't see what's on the top two shelves of the cupboards or pantry. should he move everything down? should he buy a step stool tomorrow? what do u mean u climb onto the counter when he isn't home to help why would u do that???
versus his teammate miya atsumu who dramatically gasps and looks at you with his hand over his mouth and says "holy shit you really can't reach the top of the door frame"
#6okuto.txt#then u smack atsumu so hard he topples over because his balance is wonky in his current position/posture

alright its almost midnight n i got another muscle pain tip: the secret to good posture is to be able to relax as many muscles as possible while doing it. if you need to contract a bunch of muscles to maintain a position, it's not a good position.
subtip: make sure you know what the difference is between tension and relaxation of the muscles. it might seem crazy NOT to know this, but if body tension is all you know, then how do you know what relaxing feels like. not like im speaking from experience
anyways i recommend trying those tense and relax exercises some people use for anxiety.
#my sweet summer children if you need to tense every muscle just to stay standing something is not right#once upon a time i could not walk in a straight line with a relaxed posture#because relaxing made me off balance because my shit is wonky#so yeah. putting triple the effort into every task does not bode well for the muscles lmao

When I wake up from my long overdue nap, I'm going to talk about Apollo and Mousike vs Apollo and Music and why it's so, so important that, despite being an accomplished poet and musician - the best of best of the BEST, literally, Apollo's symbol being that of the children's lyre over that of the professional's kithara is so much more meaningful than it might first seem.
#ginger rambles#I was rambling to a friend and realised I wanted to ramble more but didn't want to write an essay in dms#So onto tumblr it will go#No but fr I don't even think people realise there's a difference between lyres and kitharas#Or that Apollo is depicted with both but only one of them is actually his symbol#It means a lot that he was so obsessed with Hermes' offering of the lyre that he immediately forgave him of everything and it's not just#because it was a shiny new instrument unlike anything he'd ever seen#It was because the lyre's simplicity meant Apollo could more easily teach music and poetry to those who did not have the means#or skill for the very demanding kithara#And through the techniques of the lyre they could learn the posture and skillset to play more advanced instruments like the kithara#Which required constant microadjustments and tuning of the frets and balances while a musician played it#Anyway this is an essay for later#Apollo#music#ginger chats about greek myths

Having POTS is like walking around with an invisible friend who, every now and then & when it's least convenient, gives you a hefty shove like they're trying to push you over.
Just for kicks.

i need fgo to acknowledge servants horses more
#achilles isn't enough i need to know how each servant is around their horse(s)#i think that duryodhana has two main steeds and would have a hard time controlling them for when he's being petulant#highest ranking older mare (12-16) + her offspring (4-8) the older one would have a stubborn and calm temperament who doesn't respect duryo#and her daughter would have the same kind of chill but would be more playful and curious. dur is talking with his brothers & she trots over#starts nuzzling and sniffing his clothes because she's bored. duryo keeps talking but starts petting her#i also think duryodhana has instinctively good balance and he's good at multitasking so showmanship-like riding comes to him easily#but he's shit at all horse maintenance. especially hoof care; he's convinced his girls are going to kick him and doesn't want to even try i#but he wants good care for his horses so he watches over the servants tending to them. bossy yet incompetent duryodhana 🥰#we know georgios is a good owner but i think he likes rein maintenance & spends a fair amount of time making sure bayards armor is spotless#lalter gives out snacks more easily than her counterpart (going after the wild hunt takes energy! llamrei is a good girl!)#percival is great with horses in general and he enjoys taking care of them and will help out any other knights if they're having trouble#ashvatthaman is (un)surprisingly really good with young stallions. he's not afraid of them at all and will scold them for their mean deeds#horse tries to eat his clothes or nibble his hair and he's like. oi stop that you bastard. and the horse listens (will eat his hair later)#prince of lanling is very thorough with horses getting enough feed and water and will make sure they're well rested#arjuna is like. the main character of a horse movie. he's emotionally sensitive with them & bonds with horses easily (who sense his worries#works really really hard to be good at riding and wants to leave no room for mistakes. really aware of his posture at all times#we had dogy event please give me hors event... horses cute and underrated<-most biased man talking

hey so um is this why they ask that "have you fallen in the past [x amount of time]" question? if you say yes regardless of the reason (i fainted due to anemia worsening my OI which hasn't happened in a long time, i mean i fell at work several times but i don't think i mentioned that because it was due to my shoes being shit/water on the floor vs. my physical problems) do they always label you as a "fall risk" even if i don't really think that describes my health situation overall since falls are rare for me?
#cripple punk#chronically ill#chronic illness#postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome#orthostatic intolerence#body log#j#tagged for exposure sorryy#i consider myself a faint risk more than a fall risk. i lose balance randomly but it almost never results in a fall :/

thinking about how solas is so fucking vulcan-coded
#you think his posture is that stiff naturally? that's a self discipline response right there babey#personal log#my theater teacher was really big on holding energy in your body#how when you're on stage your body should feel like a cat about to pounce#coiled and deliberate no matter the action#that's him your honor#side story: one unit was we literally just balanced wooden poles on our fingertips. it was like 2 months of this#and believe it or not. it helped my stage preserve enormously#*stage presence#also i can balance like any broom on my fingertip as a neat party truck so there's that#truck lol. *trick

In whatever position one is in, or in whatever condition in life one is placed, one must find balance. Balance is the state of the present – the here and now. If you balance in the present, you are living in Eternity. — B.K.S. Iyengar . . .

I lied actually Valantinez has one entire prosthetic leg and one prosthetic foot on their other leg they’re both the same shape just the extra tech in the leg one lets them shoot out of it
#the feet are that specific shape because it lets them run way faster#but it also forces them to do that shonen protagonist posture shit if they’re just standing there casually#because since they’re kinda en pointe in a sense? it kinda throws their balance off just the tiniest bit#I actually don’t know if there’s any irl basis for having that kind of foot shape and it correlating to speed#cuz like. if you look at that reference sheet#and look at those bolts? their center of gravity is all on that area where the last one ends#cuz it’s a specialized shoe right? and everything past that area is stabilizing their center of gravity#which like. it’s not perfect or they would have a weird posture#but they also won’t trip and fall during combat#so inside the shoes#it kinda looks like a gazelle’s hoof? but not really? i gotta draw it out sometime#but yeah it slots neatly into the shoes#now. they CAN stand fine without the shoes but it’s massively uncomfortable so you won’t see them with the shoes off#which as I mentioned there’s nerve endings in there#basically there’s fucked up warframe feet in those shoes#oc stuff
