reblogging is love. citing your sources is love too. today's inspiration comes from @hopepunk-humanity and is so incredibly important for everyone and especially those of us that live with chronic health conditions that often mean we can't work in a way that society seems to demand. so we scramble and try and monetize what we can do and so often that steals the joy of it as we struggle to keep up with it all.

please take it to heart that you are not defined by what you produce or don't produce. you are so much more than a product to consume.

i am allowed to spend my time creating things, even if they are not beautiful.

there is no such thing as a "real job." all forms of work are real and valid.

there is nothing that i need to accomplish to be worthy. i am already worthy.

doing nothing is good for my soul.

i am not defined by what i produce.

my worth cannot be measured by my paycheck, my job title, or a list of professional or academic achievements.

i do not need to monetize my hobbies, it is enough to spend time doing something i love.

i will not let society decide what success looks like. i can define what successful life looks like for me.

Lots of catching up on things today, but I also got to see the original wallpaper in my bedroom, make some brownies, and best of all clean bedding to climb into this evening.

Do it. Do it now. Don't wait another minute. Go get an empty notebook, a glue stick, and gather up all those bits and bobs you've been tucking away. Get yourself a fine point pen and start affixing those bits to pages with your notes about your event. The when, the what, the who you went with, the joy, the memories, all of it. You can cross things out. It's okay. Maybe you'll find a sticker that you can put over the bumble, maybe you won't and the bumble, that crossed out word will stay because life isn't perfect, life is lived.

As someone who has never been able to take up journaling because I never knew what to say or got caught up in the perfectionism of it, I am begging everyone to take up junk journaling
